How the temporal projector managed to skip over the most-important moment from Emerald’s mum’s appearance
remains unexplained, but was basically done to prevent viewers from seeing who she was.

jesus christ these audiences for roh/aew what the fuck. like i get that it's hard to sort structural things out when the company is in a tailspin but man do they need to do something drastic. however many monitors tk was hit with it was not enough
#they literally have all the talent they need to put on fucking amazing shows here's a wild idea how about they take in some feedback#if the booking was better and they were less focused on being petty and competing with wwe on real weird shit this wouldn't be a thing#like legit imagine if their focus at wembley had been to put on a fantastic show#imagine if it hadn't been about beating wwe at attendance numbers#imagine if they'd set an actual solid card of dream matches and uk and european wrestler highlights#and if they'd focused on keeping talent safe ahead of the big show#fucking pac and bryan and nigel#plan something for hayter whether she's wrestling or not#skip the cheap saraya hometown pop or ACTUALLY BUILD TOWARDS IT SO IT FEELS EARNED HAVE YOU HEARD OF BUILDING STORYLINES YOU ASSHATS#sorry i'm still mad over what they did to shida#we were less than a month out and so many of their intended matches were just falling through due to injury and drama#apparently travel sucked for everyone and not just punk and hey speaking of punk has their backstage management ever not sucked ass??#literally all they cared about was if they'd beat the wwe numbers#not if they'd put on a show good enough that talent would wanna work overseas again and the audience would wanna show up for them again#sorry for ranting but god#they had such a good thing going it AMAZES ME that this is where we're at#how do you have this much opportunity how do you sign this much talent how do you have two beloved companies#and like four-five wrestling shows running weekly#and blow it this hard

I barely did anything today partly bc i woke up late, then the water was messed up and i had no energy to do too much. I had to get groceries and then cook some stuff ahead of time so dinner would be ready quickly after my mom got home. In the middle of all that i did some dishes and moved the laundry to a bag & some to my room to make it look clean 😭 my brother cleaned the bathroom for me thankfully and then i finished dinner and my mom helped me w some of that. But yeah i’ve been very lethargic these past few days and i hope that since most of the stuff is clean i will have an easier day tomorrow and can rest before Sunday. I just cleaned more of the kitchen and put all the food up. For some reason i love cleaning at night it’s really fun for me lol i actually feel productive. I’d clean some more but i don’t wanna wake anyone up sigh & i’m bored

Tumblr media
Your back hit the mattress in a blur of limbs and low groans, Bucky’s mouth never leaving yours, his hands already sliding under the hem of your shirt like he needed to feel skin, all of it, immediately.
“Fuck, I missed you,” he breathed against your lips, voice rough from hours of holding back everything but this.
You barely managed to smile before his teeth grazed your jaw, his scruff dragging just enough to make you shiver. His body blanketed yours, warm and solid, pressing you down in the most intoxicating way.
“You saw me this morning,” you murmured, fingers curling into his hair.
“Not like this.”
The shirt came off.
Then his.
You didn’t stop him.
You never did.
Because being under Bucky Barnes like this—held like something he didn’t want to let go of—was the only time you felt whole. His touch, his mouth, his breath in your ear as he whispered how good you felt, how fucking perfect you were when you were under him like this.
It was all consuming.
He kissed his way down your chest, every inch of skin worshiped like he didn’t just want you—he needed you. His fingers hooked into the waistband of your underwear, dragging them down, slow, like he loved the way you sounded when you gasped just from anticipation.
You watched him from above, chest heaving, skin flushed—and in that moment, something tight twisted in your stomach that had nothing to do with arousal.
It was the ache.
The quiet question in the back of your head that always came right before you let him *n.
What are we?
You didn’t ask.
You just let your legs fall open, let his body settle between them, and swallowed the question whole.
He looked down at you once more, eyes so soft they burned.
“You want me?” he asked, voice hushed, reverent.
You nodded.
“Say it,” he whispered, leaning down, lips brushing your collarbone.
“I want you,” you breathed.
He groaned, low and wrecked, and then he was inside you.
One thrust.
Slow. Deep.
Your back arched, your mouth parting in a gasp as he bottomed out, hands gripping your hips like he was anchoring himself in you.
He didn’t move at first.
Just breathed.
Pressed his forehead to yours.
“Fuck,” he murmured. “You always feel like home.”
You blinked.
Your heart stopped.
But then he started moving—hips rolling slow, dragging pleasure from your core in waves. Every stroke was measured, precise, like he wanted you to feel every inch of him. Like he wasn’t just fucking you—he was holding you, claiming you without a single word about what it meant.
You let your nails scrape down his back, your thighs tightening around his waist, chasing every thrust like it could answer the questions you didn’t dare ask.
He kissed you again.
Not hungrily.
Not possessively.
Just soft.
Like a man who thought you already belonged to him.
His pace stayed slow at first—torturously so. Each thrust sank deep, dragging friction that had your nails pressing harder into his skin, a soft whimper caught at the back of your throat.
He was watching you now.
Eyes dark, focused, mouth parted like he was trying to memorize the way you looked when he was buried inside you.
“You feel so fucking good,” he murmured, and the way he said it—it was too soft. Too real. Like it meant something. Like you meant something.
You arched up to meet him, hips rising into each roll of his body, chasing that dizzying edge as the room dissolved around you. The only thing real was the heat building between your bodies, the slick slide of his skin against yours, the way he groaned every time your walls clenched around him.
You could feel your release winding tight, breath ragged, body shaking.
And then—
His hand cupped your cheek.
His lips found yours again, tender and aching as he whispered into your mouth, “That’s it. Let go. I’ve got you.”
It hit you like a wave.
You shattered underneath him, crying out as your body clamped down, orgasm tearing through you with a sharp, wet sound of skin against skin and your name on his tongue like it was sacred.
He fucked you through it, his thrusts faltering, rougher now, deeper, desperate.
“I can’t—baby, I’m gonna—fuck—” he groaned.
You wrapped your legs around him, pulled him tighter, wanted him closer.
“Inside,” you whispered, dazed.
His eyes locked on yours—wide, vulnerable, wrecked.
Then he was coming—hot and hard and raw, his whole body shaking as he buried his face in your neck and let himself fall apart in you.
His voice cracked.
“I love you,” he gasped, barely more than breath.
And you heard it.
Your body was still trembling. Your mind was still fogged.
But your heart?
It snapped to attention.
Because he said it like it was obvious.
Like he’d said it before. Like you knew.
His breathing had slowed.
His body lay heavy over yours, arms curled protectively around your waist, lips pressed to your collarbone in a lazy, half-conscious kiss. You could feel the weight of his affection in every touch—adoring, familiar, like this was just another Thursday night in the life of Bucky Barnes, the man who clearly thought you were his.
Because he said it.
He said I love you.
And not like it slipped.
Not like it was some heat-of-the-moment moan tangled in a climax.
He said it like he meant it.
Like he’d said it before.
Like he thought you already knew.
Your hand twitched on his back.
Your heartbeat, which had only just settled, started racing again—but not with pleasure. With full-blown panic.
Because—
What the actual fuck?
You stared up at the ceiling, body still bare, skin still warm from him, and yet—
Your brain screamed: WHAT ARE WE?
He shifted slightly, nuzzling closer, mumbling something incoherent as he pressed a kiss to your chest.
Meanwhile, your soul was clawing its way out of your skin.
Because if he thought this was that—you being his, this being real—then you’d missed a crucial piece of the plot somewhere back in act one.
He never asked.
There was never a “will you be my girlfriend?” conversation. No official status talk. No expectations. Just great sex, unholy chemistry, soft sleepovers, texts that made your stomach flip, and a drawer at his place you never questioned.
You suddenly wanted to sit up and scream.
But instead, you lay there frozen, blinking at the ceiling like it had personally betrayed you.
His hand rubbed slow circles on your hip.
You resisted the urge to launch yourself across the room.
What the fuck is going on.
Are we dating?
Is this real?
He sighed against your skin, content and sleepy.
You swallowed hard.
Tumblr media
One Week Later
Your phone buzzed beside you on the kitchen counter.
It lit up with his name, the one you still hadn’t changed in your contacts—just “James 🇺🇸” with a dumb little flag emoji he’d added himself the first week you started… whatever this was.
James 🇺🇸:
On my way back—what do you want for takeout?
You stared at the screen for a second too long.
The question was simple. Casual. Routine.
And that’s what made your stomach twist.
Because it was routine.
The texts. The keys to your place. The way he dropped his jacket over your chair like he lived here. The way he smiled when he saw you, like everything else melted away.
You typed, deleted, typed again.
Finally, you sent:
You:
thai? the dumpling place. y'know the one.
Your phone buzzed two seconds later.
James 🇺🇸:
Already reading my mind, huh?
I’ll be there in 30.
Got you extra peanut sauce because I know you hoard it like a gremlin.
You huffed a small laugh, despite the weight still coiled in your chest.
Then you stared at that thread a little too long.
The little hearts you’d sent last week.
The blurry selfie he sent you from his office at midnight, captioned "Thinking about you and losing a vote at the same time 🫡”
The I love you that still echoed in your ears like a gunshot.
You set the phone down.
Walked into the bathroom.
And stared at yourself in the mirror.
You’d never called him your boyfriend.
He’d never asked.
But he acted like he was yours.
And the scary part?
You wanted him to be.
You just didn’t know if he knew that mattered.
Tumblr media
The door creaked open with a familiar scrape—he still hadn’t fixed the hinge.
You turned from the couch, face carefully neutral.
He stepped inside in that unbuttoned suit jacket, tie half-loosened, hair tousled from a long day of pretending not to want to strangle half of Congress.
And he was smiling.
“Hey, baby,” he murmured, like it was the most normal thing in the world, setting the takeout bags down on your kitchen counter without even looking.
Baby.
You froze.
Okay, he calls you that all the time.
Maybe he calls everyone that.
Does he call Sam that?
“Place was packed,” he continued, toeing off his shoes. “Some guy tried to skip the line and the little lady behind the counter threatened to beat him with a ladle. Reminded me of you.”
You stared.
He wandered to the fridge, pulled out your favorite seltzer—your specific lemon one—and cracked it open before sliding it your way.
You caught it on instinct, fingers brushing the condensation.
He hadn’t even asked.
Just knew.
Then, casually, he took off his jacket, draped it over the chair, and loosened his tie more, tossing it with a sigh. His white dress shirt stretched a little at the biceps. He was still talking—something about a subcommittee vote gone to hell—but you were barely hearing it.
Because now?
You were tracking everything.
The way he set down two sets of chopsticks like it was automatic. The way he separated the sauces—your peanut ones on your side, his spicier one near him. The way he snagged the remote and flopped down beside you like he lived here.
Like this was his couch.
Was it his couch?
Was he paying your utilities?
“I don’t know why I let them keep putting me in these budget meetings,” he muttered, cracking open a box of dumplings. “Every time I try to talk, someone from Indiana gives me a migraine.”
You nodded slowly.
Then: “Do you… have a toothbrush here?”
He blinked at you mid-chew.
“Yeah?” He swallowed. “Under the sink. Next to yours. Why?”
Your eye twitched.
“Do you… always leave a change of clothes here?”
He nodded again, popping another dumpling in his mouth. “Babe, half my henleys are in your closet. You know that.”
You did.
You just didn’t process it.
You turned toward him fully, food forgotten.
His arm was already around your shoulders, pulling you in.
You didn’t resist. You leaned in.
And then you stared blankly at the TV as he rested his chin on your head, warm and soft and so stupidly comfortable.
He sighed.
“I missed you today,” he murmured. “It was shit at the office.”
Your heart did a weird thing in your chest—flipped, twisted, frowned.
You blinked slowly.
“…Do you keep anything at anyone else’s place?” you asked, very casually. Too casually.
He snorted. “What?”
“Just wondering.”
He reached for a spring roll. “No? Why would I?”
“Just wondering,” you repeated, mechanically.
He made a soft mhmm noise and handed you a dumpling without looking, already distracted by the TV again, thumb grazing lazy circles against your arm like his body just knew where you were supposed to be.
Meanwhile, your brain was screaming.
Are we dating?
ARE WE DATING?!
And he just sat there, all warm and sleepy and Thai-food-happy beside you, like the man absolutely not at the center of an existential relationship spiral.
You chewed your dumpling, eyes narrow.
You were going to lose your mind.

A Few Days Later
The sky over Washington was a thick stretch of slate.
Fine rain fell in that soft, insistent way that made everything damp without ever fully raining. The streets were quiet, the air cool against your cheeks, and your lungs ached just enough to make you feel alive as your sneakers slapped against the wet pavement.
Beside you, Rachel kept pace effortlessly.
Of course she did.
She looked like she’d been born doing yoga on a yacht.
“I still don’t get how you convinced me to jog in this weather,” she said, breath easy, ponytail bouncing behind her. “You’re getting fit for a reason or just embracing the sad girl cardio?”
You huffed a laugh through your nose, ignoring the sting in your ribs. “Trying to keep up with a guy who’s genetically engineered and built like a statue.”
She smirked. “Oh, right. The Bucky Barnes. Still a thing?”
You didn’t answer right away.
Your feet hit a puddle, splashing your ankles.
Rachel didn’t wait.
“I mean… it’s cute. Really. Him bringing you coffee, showing up to all your little gallery events, texting you like a golden retriever with a crush.”
You squinted through the mist. “Is there a ‘but’ coming?”
She gave a mock innocent look. “No ‘but.’ I just think if he hasn’t made it official by now, he’s probably just riding the comfort wave. You know?”
Your stomach dropped—quiet, slow—like something sliding off a ledge in the dark.
“He’s… not like that,” you muttered.
Rachel made a noncommittal sound, the kind that sounded like “maybe” but meant “absolutely.”
“Sure,” she said lightly. “But a guy like that? Everyone wants him. Powerful, polished, and hot—but still gives off that ‘I could destroy you emotionally if I wanted’ vibe. It’s catnip.”
You bit your tongue.
She went on, like she didn’t just lob a grenade at your chest.
“I’m just saying. If I were dating him, I’d make damn sure everyone knew it. Otherwise…” She shrugged, smiling sweetly. “Kind of feels like letting a limited edition slip through your fingers.”
You slowed slightly, blinking rain from your lashes.
Rachel picked up her pace, unaware—or pretending to be.
Or maybe that was the point.
The worst part?
You didn’t even know what to say.
Because in your head, you were screaming: I don’t know if I’m dating him either.
You didn’t answer her.
You just picked up speed.
One second, you were jogging beside her—lungs aching, mind heavy—and the next, your legs were moving, not with purpose but with sheer emotional combustion.
“Wait—what the hell?” Rachel’s voice snapped from behind you, sharp with confusion. “Where are you going?”
You shouted over your shoulder, breath shallow, “Forgot—I left the oven on!”
It was a terrible excuse.
You hadn’t even used the oven that morning.
And Rachel, in all her smug, sculpted glory, definitely knew it.
But you didn’t care.
You turned down a side street without looking back, rain misting against your skin, hair sticking to your neck as you ran harder, faster, legs burning. You were vaguely aware of your own ridiculousness. You were sprinting through Capitol Hill in soaked leggings and adrenaline—not because of a fire, but because your chest was burning.
Because the words still a thing were still ringing in your ears.
Because her little smile made you want to scream.
And because deep down, you didn’t know how to answer her.
You didn’t know.
Your lungs ached, your sneakers skidded slightly on wet pavement as you turned a corner, and still—you kept going.
Toward the tall glass building you knew by heart now. The security desk that always smiled when you came in. The floor where the man who may or may not be your boyfriend spent hours arguing policy and quietly doodling in his tiny notebook between meetings.
You didn’t know what you were going to say when you got there.
You didn’t know what you wanted him to say.
But you knew this:
You couldn’t keep playing house in your head while the floor beneath it kept shifting.
You needed an answer.
Even if it hurt.
Even if Rachel ended up being right.
You just prayed she got splashed by a Metro bus on the way home.
Tumblr media
The doors of the administrative wing slammed open with a bang.
You stumbled in, soaked from drizzle, cheeks flushed, ribs on fire, and about three seconds from a full cardiac event. Your leggings were clinging to your thighs, your hoodie had definitely seen better days, and your lungs were currently staging a mutiny.
Several staffers at their desks froze mid-keystroke.
Someone dropped a pen.
Bucky looked up from where he was speaking with a few of his aides, a file in one hand, coffee in the other—and blinked at you like you’d just teleported in from an alternate timeline.
“Hey—what—?”
“Do you want to be my boyfriend?”
Silence.
Every single head in the room turned.
Bucky’s coffee cup paused halfway to his lips.
You pointed at him, panting. “Because—I think it’s time. I want to be your girlfriend. Officially. Like—not just sleepovers and emotional eye contact over takeout—I mean actual, real-life, ‘we’re together’ kind of thing.”
You sucked in another breath and barreled on before you lost your nerve.
“I know you’re busy, and, like, technically running half of Congress with your jawline, but I just—I need clarity, okay? Because I was jogging with Rachel, who’s a menace to society, and she said some stuff and I started spiraling and I just—I ran here. I ran. Here. For this.”
There was a beat of complete silence.
Bucky’s eyes were wide.
His aides?
They were riveted.
One woman actually had her hand over her mouth like this was her favorite telenovela.
You blinked at the room.
Your mouth opened. Closed. You slowly lowered your arm.
“Okay,” you said, breathless. “So clearly, that was… too much.”
You looked around at the awkward stares, then back at Bucky, your voice flattening with pure, defeated embarrassment.
“So maybe I was delusional. Maybe this isn’t what I thought. And that’s fine.”
You nodded to yourself, a slow descent into insanity.
“If I’m just some situationship moron who caught feelings and made a public scene at a congressional office,” you continued dryly, “I’m going to kill myself and take everyone in this room with me.”
You made eye contact with one aide near the door.
He flinched.
Then you sighed heavily and scanned the room, noting every wide-eyed aide pretending desperately to become one with their laptops.
Then you snapped.
“Show’s over, folks. Go home. Or back to your unpaid Excel spreadsheets or whatever.”
No one moved.
One intern coughed.
You groaned, dragging both hands over your face in slow, mortified defeat, mumbling through your fingers, “This is literally my villain origin story.”
You barely heard his footsteps as Bucky approached, but you felt him—warmth, presence, tall and steady as he stopped just a few feet in front of you.
“Hey,” he said gently, “can you look at me?”
You shook your head without moving your hands. “I’ll die.”
“No you won’t.”
“I might.”
He chuckled quietly, and something about it made your heart twist. Like this wasn’t the end of the world. Like maybe it wasn’t even close.
You slowly peeked between your fingers.
He smiled softly, eyes full of that same calm patience he used when trying to explain to you how Medicare reform worked.
He stepped closer, brushing a damp strand of hair from your cheek. “It’s 2 o’clock,” he said, glancing around the room. “They all get off at five.”
You stared up at him.
“Oh,” you said blankly. “Cool.”
A pause.
Then, softly—almost hesitantly—he added, “I thought we were already dating.”
Your arms dropped from your face as your expression completely short-circuited.
“…What.”
He tilted his head, confused. “Yeah. For, like… a while now?”
You just stared at him.
Unmoving.
Mouth parted.
One eyebrow quirked in silent disbelief.
“…What.”
He blinked again.
Now he looked confused.
“You… didn’t think we were?”
“…No?”
He gave you the most innocent, baffled look known to man.
“I brought you to Sam's birthday party. You met his nephews. You wear my boxers. What part of this didn’t scream boyfriend to you?”
You opened your mouth.
Then closed it.
Then opened it again.
“I—You never asked me!” you accused, voice pitching.
“I didn’t think I had to!” he exclaimed.
You stared at him, absolutely scandalized. “How was I supposed to know then?”
Bucky blinked. “I—what do you mean? Everything I do is—”
“You’re from the 40s, James!” you snapped, throwing your hands up. “You guys used to, like, wear suits and give flowers and do grand declarations and ask girls to go steady in a diner over milkshakes! I was waiting for that!”
His jaw dropped. “Are you serious?”
“I watched Grease with you last week!” you cried. “You don’t get to act brand new!”
He dragged a hand over his face, groaning. “Okay, no more old movies for you.”
You crossed your arms, still damp and out of breath, glaring at him like he’d personally invented confusion.
Then he stepped back.
Took a slow, deep breath.
Straightened his posture.
And said, “Okay. Fine.”
He cleared his throat, eyes locked with yours, serious as a heart attack. Then he said your name—your full name.
“Will you do me the incredible honor of officially being my girlfriend?”
The room went so quiet you could hear someone’s chair creak.
You stared at him.
Then slowly, a dumb smile spread across your face.
“Wow,” you said, blinking. “This is… so sudden.”
Bucky paused, squinting
You pressed a hand to your chest. “I mean… we’ve only been sleeping together, sharing hoodies, texting nonstop, and eating Thai food three times a week for a few months. You barely know me.”
His jaw clenched.
“Don’t.”
“I mean, I barely know me, James. Are you sure about this? How could I possibly say—?”
He said your name—a low, gravelly warning that made your smile bloom full force.
You grinned.
“Yes,” you said. “I’ll be your girlfriend.”
And before he could react—before he could breathe—you launched yourself into his arms, hands gripping his shoulders, mouth crashing into his with every ounce of pent-up emotion and leftover adrenaline.
His arms instinctively caught you—one around your waist, the other beneath your thighs as your legs wrapped around him like you’d done this a hundred times before.
He kissed you back, hard and fast, like he’d been waiting for this moment—like maybe he needed it as badly as you did.
Somewhere behind you, someone definitely muttered, “What the fuck.”
Another staffer fumbled their phone like they were torn between reporting this to H.R. and posting this on the internet.
Bucky didn’t care.
He just kissed you deeper, right there in the middle of his office, as if the whole damn building hadn’t just watched him get emotionally hijacked by the woman he thought was already his.
Eventually, you pulled back, breath a little ragged, lips swollen, cheeks flushed, arms still looped lazily around his neck.
Bucky was wrecked—eyes dazed, mouth parted, chest rising and falling under you like he’d just run a marathon and won.
You leaned in once more, planted a sweet, casual kiss on his cheek, and whispered, “See you at home.”
You slid off his lap and smoothed your hoodie like you hadn’t just climbed him like a tree in front of half his professional staff.
Bucky blinked. “Wait—what? I was just about to go on break—”
You turned at the door, already tugging your hood up. “Yeah, no, I gotta find Rachel.”
He frowned, still catching up. “Why?”
“To tell her to her face that you’re mine now,” you said flatly. “And so hopefully, she dies of jealousy in front of my eyes.”
You opened the door and strode out like a woman on a mission.
Bucky watched you go, completely speechless, still half-hard in his slacks, shirt wrinkled from where you’d yanked on him like you were trying to break his will to serve.
His aides were frozen, stunned, borderline traumatized.
And then, slowly, that grin started to grow on his face.
A little crooked. A little stunned.
But proud.
Because that?
That was officially his girl.
And God help anyone who tried to say otherwise.

UNEXPECTED GUESTS II
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
jason x reader, platonic!damian wayne
divider by: @cafekitsune & @thecutestgrotto& @omi-resources word count: 857 synopsis: Jason’s secret relationship is discovered by Damian—who keeps showing up uninvited. Jason’s patience is tested, popcorn is made, but at least Damian brought cinnamon rolls. a/n: y’all I’m still new to posting on tumblr, idk how to respond to your reblogs, but thank you for all the love!!
Tumblr media
It started with a puzzle.
Then it became a movie.
Then it was breakfast.
Then game night.
You weren’t exactly sure how it happened, but somewhere between Damian’s first drop-in and now, he had quietly and confidently moved in emotionally. No key, no warning—just a kid who appeared at your door like a stray cat who decided you were his human now.
Jason was not amused.
“Babe,” he muttered one night, standing in the kitchen with a towel slung over his shoulder, “I think he lives here now.”
You didn’t even look up from where you and Damian were halfway through a Harry Potter movie marathon. “He brought cinnamon rolls. That buys him, like, three hours.”
Jason’s eye twitched. “That’s what you said yesterday.”
“And yet here we are. With cinnamon rolls.”
Damian didn’t even glance away from the TV. “You’re welcome.”
Tumblr media
It didn’t stop.
Damian started showing up with snacks. Then books. Then a bonsai tree that he insisted would bring “calming energy” to the apartment—though Jason was convinced it was a surveillance device.
The turning point was when Jason came home from patrol to find you and Damian doing face masks while bickering over whether Batman could take John Wick in a fight, without prep time.
“I hate it here,” Jason muttered, dropping onto the couch like gravity had personally wronged him.
“No, you don’t,” you said, patting the spot beside you.
Damian looked smug. “You should exfoliate more. Your skin is tired.”
Jason looked like he aged five years on the spot.
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, across Gotham, the rest of the Bat-family had questions.
“He skipped patrol again,” Tim muttered, narrowing his eyes at the tracker on his screen. “He’s somewhere in Crime Alley, but he’s not moving. That’s not like him.”
“He’s not fighting crime?” Dick asked, frowning as he squinted at the grainy feed Tim managed to pull from one of Gotham’s ancient surveillance cameras. “Is he injured?”
“No,” Tim said, zooming in. “I think he’s… playing Monopoly?”
Dick raised an incredulous eyebrow. “He’s doing what?”
Tim leaned closer. “Wait—never mind. That might be a bomb.”
“I’m following him tonight,” Tim declared. “See what he’s hiding.”
“I’m going with you,” Dick said. “Damage control. Just in case he really has joined a criminal syndicate without telling Bruce.”

That night, they tailed Damian across rooftops, watching as he made his usual unannounced entrance into Jason’s apartment through the fire escape like it was a routine—and it was. By now, you’d already prepped hot cocoa, and a blanket was folded on the couch just for him.
Jason wasn’t home yet. Which meant Damian had free reign.
When Tim and Dick peered through the neighboring rooftop window, they expected secrets. Schematics. Maybe even an underground lab.
What they found was you and Damian arguing about whether waffles or pancakes were the superior breakfast food while watching John Wick in an aggressively cozy blanket fort.
Tim blinked. “Is that a fort?”
“Oh my god,” Dick whispered. “He has a fort buddy.”
Tumblr media
Jason returned an hour later, tired, sweaty, and one patrol away from an identity crisis.
He prayed Damian was gone so he could finally have some alone time with you. Every time he tried to initiate anything romantic, the little demon just happened to be there—coincidentally, of course.
But what awaited him was somehow worse.
The moment he stepped inside, he froze.
Dick and Tim were seated at your kitchen table, sipping cocoa. Damian was calmly painting from he sat beside you, and you looked like you were completely unfazed by the three vigilantes in your living room.
“Don’t say it,” Jason groaned, setting his helmet down.
“We followed Damian,” Dick grinned. “Turns out he’s been living a double life.”
Tim nodded solemnly. “I think he’s cheating on us.”
Jason dragged a hand down his face. “Of course you idiots followed him.”
“Her cooking is nearly on par with Pennyworth’s,” Damian said casually, not looking up from his brushwork. “And she doesn’t interrupt me when I’m watching Lord of the Rings.”
Dick raised a brow. “Lord of the Rings?”
“It’s a cinematic masterpiece,” you replied without missing a beat and Dick didn’t question it.
“We just wanted to meet the person responsible for his personality transplant,” Dick said with a teasing smile. “He’s been nice lately. It’s suspicious.”
You shrugged. “We made a deal. He’s nice to everyone else, and I let him pick Friday night movies.”
Tim gestured dramatically. “She tamed the demon.”
Jason looked up to the ceiling like he was searching for divine intervention. “Why are all of you here?”
“We came for answers,” Tim said.
“We stayed for the snacks,” Dick added.
“And the Wi-Fi,” Tim finished.
Jason looked at you.
You smiled sweetly. “Cinnamon rolls?”
He sighed, walked into the kitchen, and took one off the tray. “I hate all of you.”
But he didn’t leave.
Not when you handed him his mug. Not when you leaned into his side. Not even when Damian held up his newest painting like it was the Mona Lisa.
Jason looked around his overcrowded apartment—full of noise, cocoa, and chaos.
“…You’re all sleeping on the floor.”

Part 3 of ‘Bird Watching’ aka hot construction worker Simon x single mom reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He thinks your favourite colour must be yellow
It’s the first thing he notices when he walks into your flat, or rather, the first thing his brain registers as existing around you, because in actuality he’s unable to let his eyes stray from your form for even a second
From the corner of his eye, he spots a yellow rain jacket hung up by the front door as he kicks his boots off, sees yellow mugs drying next to the empty baby bottles by the sink, notices yellow pillows and blankets laid out across the couch next to a laundry basket, tiny onesies and burp cloths left half folded inside, notices an arrangement of drooping yellow tulips in a vase that have seen better days, and in the midst of all the sunshine scattered across a flat evidently well lived in, well loved, is you
You, in a pair of sweatpants and t-shirt that definitely doesn’t have dried spit up on it, bags beneath your eyes betraying the exhaustion that your smile refuses to divulge, and with a tiny baby cradled against your soft chest, you’re nothing short of a vision Simon feels unworthy to be bearing witness to, the epitome of everything he thought he would never have, would never deserve, pure and unabashed domesticity at its finest
He thinks you’re the most beautiful sight he’ll ever see
As privileged as he feels to have been invited inside your flat, inside your home, invited to take a glimpse into the four walls that keep you and your baby bird sheltered from the outside world where things aren’t all sunshine, another part of him wishes you’d never extended the invitation in the first place
When you’d answered the phone last night, he could tell immediately that he had called at an inopportune time
The sound of a baby’s displeased shrieking in the background was impossible to ignore, even over the sound of your sweet ‘Hello?’ coming through the line, but how was he meant to ask if this was a bad time, when you let out the most delighted, tantalizing little gasp when he’d said it was Simon calling
“Oh, Simon! It’s so nice to hear from you! How are you?” You’d asked him, voice sweet as a candy and addictive as a drug. How was he? Well when you said things like that, he felt like he was on the verge of either a heart attack or a relapse into something he was sure would leave him feeling high for the rest of his days, but he managed instead to tell you that he was fine, not that you’d heard his reply
Talking on the phone while holding a newborn who demanded her mum’s undivided attention proved to be a feat easier said than done
“Sorry, could you say that again?”
“Asked how you girls were holdin’ up?” He’d repeated for you, voice a little louder for you to understand over the noise
“We’re alright. Better now that you’ve called, we’ve been lookin’ forward to hearin’ from you. I mean- I don’t mean to get ahead of myself here but, I’m guessing you’ve called with good news? I hope?”
Simon couldn’t help but let the small chuckle that built in his chest and slipped past his lips, knowing that there wasn’t a single alternate reality out there where he’d allow himself to ever give you anything other than good news, give you any reason other than to smile
“It is good news.” He confirmed, smile widening when he could practically hear you grinning on the other end of the phone. “Though there are a few uh- kinks we might have to sort out.”
Whatever reply you might have given, Simon was unable to hear over the sound of tiny cries on the other end growing louder, more insistent
“Sorry, I think she’s ready for another feeding.” You’d explained to him after the interruption, unaware that the mental image you’d just painted in Simon’s mind, of your aching breasts being suckled on while you spoke to him over the line, had his heart skip a beat, shaking his head and willing himself to stay focused. “Feels like the little lady never stops eating.”
“Would it be easier if I met you somewhere? Might be able to give you all the details tha’ way.” He thought about how he’d have to thank your baby bird one day, for giving him an easy excuse to see you in person again
“Think you might be right.” You’d giggled softly through the phone, a deep blush creeping up Simon’s neck up to the tips of his ears at the sound
Now, Simon wasn’t overly thrilled at how easily you offered him your home address, in spite of him offering to meet you at a cafe, or a park, anywhere that’d be convenient for you, you’d explained to him that getting yourself and a newborn out of the house was more time consuming than the actual outing, and that you’d be happy to offer him a cup of tea for his troubles
As infatuated as he’d become with you since your last conversation, and as much as he’d hoped there was a sliver of a chance you’d been thinking of him too, he wasn’t keen on you so willingly giving your address to someone who was still more or a less a stranger, even if the stranger was doing you a monumental favour
But Simon couldn’t fault you for being sweet, for being kind, for being so trusting, for still looking at the world and seeing good where others saw nothing, for finding the sunshine in the darkness
On top of that, he could tell how exhausted you were, despite your cheery disposition over the phone, the sleep deprivation was clear as day, certainly playing a part in your willingness to invite a stranger into your home, no questions asked
And that had Simon’s heart aching the entire drive over to your flat, thinking about how you were taking care of this new little life, so dependent on you for everything, but who was taking care of you? Who was making sure you were looked after? You’d mentioned how it felt like she never stopped eating, but who was there to remind you to eat enough too?
That train of thought led to a small pit stop along the way, sweet and savoury treats sat in the display case of the bakery reminded him of how little he knew about you, how we wasn’t sure which ones you’d prefer, until finally he was walking out with a box tucked under his arm filled with one of everything
As he’d knocked on the door to the flat, part of him had even wondered if he should’ve gotten some groceries for you as well, remembering how you’d said getting out of the house was especially tricky now, but he had to reign himself in, not wanting to overwhelm you too early, to come on too strong. You’d soon enough discover how willing he was to help, it would only be a matter of time until everything settled into place, for now he would have to pace himself
For now, he could allow himself to enjoy the sight of you licking your lips as you pull a chocolate croissant out of the to-go box, let himself appreciate the comfortable silence of a meal shared between two- as you’d insisted he had to have something to eat as well- two mugs of steaming tea sat cooling on the table as the tiny bird snuggled in her wrap sleeps peacefully against your chest
He hadn’t been able to get much of a glimpse at her last time, tucked away under layers of blankets in her pram, and granted her mum had been holding most of his attention. But now he’s able to get a slightly better look at her as she snoozes on you, her body as tiny as he remembers his nephew having been once. She’s got her mouth open in a slight ‘o’, her petite little hand curled up against the top of your cleavage, she slumbers without a care in the world, knowing she’s in the safest spot she could ever be, listening to her mum’s heartbeat beneath her ear
And you, every time your hand rubs gently against her back or softly pats her little bottom, eyes glancing down to check on her and eyes beaming with intangible love and devotion, well, you appear to quite literally glow before him. The two of you look like a perfect puzzle, the pieces fitting together seamlessly to reveal a most beautiful image
Simon only hopes that there’s perhaps room for a third puzzle piece in the mix, a chance to discover an even more complete picture, one that maybe includes him
“Part of me wants to insist again that you didn’t have to do this, but I think I actually really needed it.” You say, wiping crumbs off the corner of your mouth with a finger, Simon’s gaze inevitably locked on the movement, mind wandering towards thoughts of licking chocolate remnants off your lips with his own tongue. “So I’ll say thank you instead. Again.”
“You’re welcome.” He replies with a soft chuckle reverberating through his chest, shoulders unconsciously straightening with the pride he feels swell within him, knowing that such a simple gesture could so easily please you. “Really, no need to thank me.”
“I just um-” you add, shifting slightly in your seat, fidgeting with your fingers as you avoid his gaze and look at the box of sweets instead. “I just would feel bad taking all of these if someone’s waiting on you at home that would like them too. Should we save some for ‘em?”
You’re cute, Simon thinks to himself, trying to get an answer to a question you don’t want to ask directly, tip toeing around it
“There ain’t no one at home, love.” He confirms, the term of endearment slipping out intentionally this time, feeling emboldened by being in your home, in your orbit, in your gaze, and apparently being on your mind too. “They’re all yours.”
The treats are all yours, yes, but what he doesn’t dare say yet is that so is his time, his attention, his focus, they’re all yours now birdie, if you’ll allow him to give them to, that is
The blush that creeps up your cheeks has his own blood rushing south, your shy smile imprinting itself to the front of his brain for safekeeping. You’re as sweet as any of the goods they made in that bakery today, and so he decides he’ll let you in on the other question you’ve been dancing around since you’ve been sitting here chatting
“So is the nursery spot. It’s yours, I mean. Or, rather hers I suppose.” He adds, jutting his chin towards the bundle laid across your bosom, noticing how your face stills at his words for a second, before blooming into the brightest expression he’s seen on you thus far
“Really? Oh my gosh, are you serious? I- okay hold on, let me try and lay her down in her crib. I’m too excited, I’m gonna wake her up.” You say, the pure joy evident in your voice as you slowly rise from your seat, a palm cradled against the back of her head as you excuse yourself down the hall towards what must be your bedroom, Simon’s eyes following your every move until your mismatched socked feet are padding back towards him a few minutes alter
“Simon, you- you really mean it? What did- how did you- what’s- just tell me everything!” You laugh, pulling your kitchen chair closer towards his side of the round table, sliding your mug across the wood towards you as you settle in, beaming eyes locked on his
He has to fight to reign in the grin threatening to stretch across his face as well, your excitement contagious as he angles his body towards you, not missing the way your eyes flit towards the flexing muscle of his arms for a split second, before returning to his face
Now, Simon’s had ample time between meeting the daycare’s director and walking into your flat, and each second has been spent wondering how he would go about this… situation he’s put himself into, considering what he should do about the little white lie he didn’t correct when the owner presumed Simon was inquiring about a spot for his child, a child she presumed he shared with his wife, rather than the woman he’d started falling for only days earlier
And yet with all that time, and as skilled as Simon once was at making life or death decision in the blink of an eye, not having had the luxury to consider actions and consequences when in the heat of the moment in what feels like a lifetime ago, he hasn’t been able to bring himself to a decision, hasn’t been able to convince himself that it’s worth bringing up at all, so long as no one tugs too hard on the loose string and unravels everything he’s working to seam together
After all, if Simon has it his way, the owner’s assumption won’t be wrong for too much longer, and so as he sits across from you, waiting for his answer, he decides that no one is being hurt if he omits the truth just a little while longer
“Easy ‘nough to find the owner, after all.” Not entirely true. “Turns out she’s a friend of a friend, who would’ve known?” Not true at all. “Told her I needed a favour, and she was happy to oblige.” A lie. “They had exactly one infant spot left open, and it’s yours now.”
“Oh, Simon, I- I don’t even know what to say! I was only expecting you to find me a phone number, or a name, or- I can’t believe you would do all of that.” You practically gush, pulling your knees up so you’re facing him entirely now. “I thought I was going to have to beg whoever was in charge for a chance, no one in the city is accepting infants right now. I just- Simon I can’t even begin to tell you how grateful I am, truly. But, why would you even do all of this? Even if you’re down playing it, it sounds like you went through a lot of trouble for us.”
Simon decides he’ll try a little honesty for a change
“The truth?” He asks softly, and you nod up at him, gaze wholly enraptured by whatever reply he’s about to offer you. “Haven’t been able to stop thinkin’ ‘bout you. Either of you. But, you especially.”
“R-really?” You practically whisper, the blush on your cheeks as dark as ever, though your smile is anything but shy this time. He would dare say you look almost relieved at his words, a sentiment that has his heart skipping another beat.
“O’ course.” He answers easily, wondering how he’s gone all his life without this feeling stirring in his chest, the rush of chemicals to his brain addictive to say the least, wondering why he’s denied himself this joy for so long. But then again, it was you he was waiting on all this time, wasn’t it? “The director would like to meet you first though, she said there’s enrolment details to sort through or something, and she wants to meet- erm-” He trails off, motioning in the direction of the hall where you’ve laid the baby bird to rest
“Rosie. Oh my gosh, I can’t believe how rude I am, you’ve done all this for us and I haven’t even introduced you to her properly!” You say, a hand unconsciously smoothing over your stomach where she once grew, as though that would always be the place you considered her first home, as being within you. “Her name’s Rose, but she’s my little Rosie.”
“Tha’s beautiful.” He says, following your gaze as you look lovingly down the hall towards her, as though you could both see her through the walls.
“Thank you. I had no idea what I was going to name her, all throughout my pregnancy. I was literally in the hospital bed pushing her out and still unsure what I’d call her.” You reminisce with a small laugh, Simon hanging onto your every word as you offer him a glimpse into your reality a few months prior, the time before you’d turned his world upside down, a time when the foundation of your own world was being rocked.
“I was uh- I was by myself for it. Didn’t have anyone there, and this one nurse was so kind to me. She made me feel like I wasn’t alone, stayed with me for all of it, even after I’d delivered. Afterwards everyone kept pressuring me to come up with a name for her already, one doctor even told me I should’ve been able to look at her and just know. That mothers are supposed to know these things when they look at their baby. But there was so much happening- I just couldn’t decide, nothing felt right for her. Anyways, a few hours after I’d given birth the nurse came into my room and she’d gotten me flowers, probably from their gift shop. But it was a bouquet of roses, it was- it was the nicest thing anyone had done for me in a long time and I knew right away, that my girl was going to be a Rose.”
Simon can’t help but to sit in comfortably silence for a moment, letting that information sink in. You’d told him in your first meeting that it was just you and the baby, that much he knew. And walking into your flat, it was evident that there wasn’t a trace of a man living here with you. But to hear this, to know that you were alone as you gave birth, the fucker who’d had the downright honour of putting a baby into you nowhere to be found, has Simon’s blood boiling. He’s seeing red, but he steels himself with a deep breath and files that information away for another time.
“Rose is perfect. Just like she is.” He says without hesitation, watching the far off look in your eye as you told your story change instantly into one of pride, your eyes meeting his again with gratitude brewing behind them.
“Thank you.” You whisper, a timid hand slowly reaching to rest on his forearm for a moment, the small gesture having Simon’s heart beat so rapidly he’s worried you’ll be able to hear it. “Anyways uh- you said she wants to meet us?”
“Right, just details she needs to iron out, nothin’ for you to worry ‘bout. The spot’s yours love, I made sure of it.” He affirms, knowing that he’ll be replaying this moment in his mind constantly as he shows up early to work in the mornings and leaves entirely too late at night in order to finish the job he’s promised would be completed early, all for you. “I think it’d be best if I went you girls, to the meeting. Don’t think anyone would give you a hard time but, just want to be there to be sure.” He also wants to be there to filter any questions that might arise about your relationship to one another, keep the thread from being pulled
“Oh, of course, okay.” You say, pulling your hand back as you go to reach for you phone, pulling up your calendar. “Do you know when she was hoping to meet? We’ve got an appointment with the paediatrician on Wednesday morning, but if she gives us enough time we could be on the tube and there by-”
“You’ve been takin’ the tube with her?” Simon cuts you off, more abruptly than he meant to, but the image of you and your baby bird stuffed into the tube with all the delinquents and criminals that frequent London’s underground instantly has the hairs on the back of his neck raising
“Well, yeah of course. Used to have a car but, selling it made more sense when- well you know.” You shrug, clearly not wanting to linger on your dwindling financial situation since bringing a baby into this world
“I’ll pick you girls up.” He declares without hesitation
“Oh, Simon you really don’t have to! Seriously, you’ve already done so much for us. I can’t ask that much of you.” You try to reason, though Simon can tell there’s not much fight behind those words, a mothers instinct to protect her baby stronger than your need to insist on independence at this moment, especially if it means not having to navigate a pram through the tube
“Wouldn’t say it if I didn’t mean it, love. Like I said last time, I want to, so I will.” He replies simply, because to him it really is that simple. Give him the chance to prove himself, and he’ll give you everything, anything you need
“Well, if you’re sure.” You smile softly at him, placing your phone back on the table, worries dissipating already.
“I’ll reach out to ‘er and confirm a date and time.” He tells you, pulling his own phone out this time, preparing to shoot off a text to the owner right away, though your next words have him stilling, certain that his heart is going to give out soon
“Great. Then it’s a date.”
He’ll be sure to bring you yellow roses next time
But first, he’s got an infant car seat to go buy for his truck

author's note: pool is such a hot game, i love it, though i honestly suck at it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The recreational room was quiet for once. No Alexei bellowing about rematches, no Yelena complaining about the vending machine, no sarcastic commentary from John. Just dim, flickering lights above, the low hum of some old speaker system, and the pool table that sat dead center like an unspoken challenge.
You shouldn’t have lingered. Should’ve kept walking when you saw him there, Bucky in a tactical tee with the sleeves pushed up, his forearms flexing as he chalked the cue with quiet focus.
But you didn’t walk away. Not when his rare good mood hung in the air like smoke. Not when his smirk was already loaded with trouble.
“Ever played before?” he asked, twirling the cue between his fingers so effortlessly it made your pulse skip.
“Once,” you replied, breath catching. “I sucked.”
His smile was slow, knowing. “I’ll teach you.”
Now you were bent over the edge of the table, cue in hand, trying not to squirm under the heat of his stare. You focused on the balls as hard as it was, instead of the way his shirt clung to his chest or how that muscle ticked in his jaw every time you shifted.
“Widen your stance,” Bucky murmured behind you, the sudden closeness making your breath hitch. “You’re too stiff.”
You obeyed before your brain even caught up, spreading your legs just slightly, only for him to step in behind you, boots heavy on the floor, presence unmistakable. His hands landed on your hips, strong and certain, the kind of grip that made your stomach twist with want.
“Here,” he said roughly, “let me help.”
He guided you forward until your body touched the table, the cool felt brushing your forearms as his front pressed against your back. You could feel him, heat and muscle, that dense, coiled strength that made him lethal on the field and devastating off it. The brush of his cock against your ass was unmistakable, and he didn’t even try to hide it.
“Bucky,” you breathed, voice catching.
“Shh,” he said, mouth near your ear, voice barely restrained. “Just showing you how it’s done.”
His metal hand slid down your side, cold against the heat of your skin, until it reached your hand on the cue. He adjusted your grip with slow, practiced movements, but his hips never moved away, if anything, he pressed in harder, grinding just enough to make your pulse stutter.
“Now bend over a little more.”
You obeyed, and that earned you a low, guttural sound. It wasn’t a word, it was need.
“You gotta stop doing that,” he murmured, grinding against you in a slow, filthy motion that made your thighs clench. “You’re making it real hard to focus.”
“I thought you were supposed to be teaching me,” you said with a faint, teasing lilt.
“Oh, I am,” he whispered, hips dragging against you again. “Lesson one: let me fuckin’ focus.”
Your smirk faltered when he pushed forward again, cock thick and hard through his jeans, grinding against your ass with agonising control. You gasped, hands tightening on the table.
“That part of the game?” you managed, voice shaking.
He chuckled darkly. “Only when you bend over the table like that, sweetheart.”
The cue was taken from your hand and dropped behind you without care. His flesh hand ran up your spine, then pushed gently between your shoulder blades until your cheek nearly touched the felt.
“Bucky-" you started, but he cut you off with a quiet growl.
“I’m not gonna fuck you here,” he said, grinding into you harder, his cock sliding exactly where you needed him. “Not yet. Just wanna feel you like this.”
You whimpered as he rocked against you again, the friction obscene. He was fully hard now, thick and heavy, and you could feel every inch of him through both layers of fabric. Your body arched instinctively into him, and he let out a dark, broken groan.
“You like teasing me?” he growled. “Wearing those tight little pants? Bending over like this? Think I haven’t noticed how you look at me during training?”
Your thighs pressed together without thinking, your whole body burning. Then his hand slid between your legs and pressed against your core. Even through your jeans, you knew he could feel how wet you were.
“Fucking soaked,” he muttered, his fingers pressing harder. “And I haven’t even touched you properly.”
“You’re insane,” you choked out, barely holding on.
“No,” he murmured. “I’m patient. If I wasn’t, your pants would already be around your ankles and this table would be shaking.”
The words made you clench, dizzy from the arousal pulsing through your body. His lips found your neck then, hot, rough, biting, the kind of messy affection that left no question about what he wanted. His metal hand squeezed your ass, fingers digging into the flesh with a possessiveness that made you moan.
“You think I’m not dying to fuck you right here?” he rasped. “Right now? But I’m not gonna. Not until you beg.”
You arched against him with a sound that was half whimper, half plea.
“Say it,” he growled. “Say please.”
You shook your head, panting, defiant even as your body screamed for him.
He froze behind you. Then, again, voice edged with steel.
“Say. It.”
Your voice trembled. “Please… Bucky. Please.”
The growl that rumbled from his chest was primal. His hips gave one more brutal grind into you, enough to make your knees buckle. And then, he stepped back.
The loss of contact was immediate and devastating. You spun to face him, trembling, wide-eyed, flushed with need.
“Why-?”
“You’re not ready,” he said smoothly, retrieving the cue like nothing had happened. “Not yet.”
“You bastard,” you muttered, voice wrecked.
He leaned in again, lips brushing your ear like a promise you’d never forget.
“Lesson two’s gonna be about patience, sweetheart.”
And then he lined up his shot, cue tapping the ball like he hadn’t just left you soaked and shaking.

Bucky Barnes Masterlist
Tumblr media
As soon as you step through the rotating doors, a relieved breath escapes your chest.
The rain continues to patter outside, merciless in their mission to soak everyone who dares to leave the comfort of their home. Your wet hoodie clings to you like second skin; your cotton skirt dripping on the marble floors below. The back of your neck scorches as you notice a few sharp glances sliding your way.
This is so not how you thought this day was going to go.
A quick coffee run with the girls had been the plan. The only plan. A chance to catch up with Wanda and Natasha amidst the unpredictability of everyone’s hectic schedules. Everything was going well. Up until the point you left the coffee shop, started the trek back towards the subway station, and realized something.
Your wallet was missing.
Not misplaced.
Not forgotten.
But actually missing.
You spent the next couple of hours retracing your steps—going back to the coffee shop, peering under evey chair and table, even asking the clueless barista if anyone had turned it in—but nothing. You even emptied your tote bag in the middle of the sidewalk at one point. Confirming that the wallet was, in fact, gone. To make matters worse, your phone had also died somewhere between Wanda showing you her latest painting project and Natasha's crude remarks about your sex life. In that raging desperation, you made a decision to resort to one last dramatic measure.
Bucky's office.
Inside your drenched sneakers, your toes curl. It’s silly for someone to feel this nervous about visiting their husband's place of work. But when the husband in question is none other than James Buchanan Barnes—CEO and founder of Barnes & Co.—you suppose the churning in your gut is somewhat justified. Especially when the prospect of visiting his office, impromptuly and without the dark cover of night, feels like crossing a threshold you've been avoiding for far too long.
You and Bucky have been together for over two years, married for one short, whirlwind month. The news of your wedding broke across the country like a hailstorm. Stirring a media frenzy and a nationwide intrigue revolving one question in particular.
Who is the woman that managed to conquer the heart of one of America's most eligible bachelors?
You've always dreaded the attention that comes with being Bucky's partner, hence why you asked to keep your identity a secret at the start of your relationship. And Bucky—despite having his reservations about not being able to love you loudly in front of the whole world—had agreed, but not before promising you that his world was yours to enter whenever you pleased.
You just never thought that the entrance would happen today.
The dribbles of rain have gathered into a puddle under your feet. You squirm as more eyes begin scrutinizing you as if you're a ketchup stain in their otherwise polished world of Rolexes and Armani-clad egos. Taking a deep breath, you will the thumping in your chest to abate, forcing your chin up as you stalk towards the front desk across the lobby.
The two receptionists are conversing among themselves when you approach, huddled over a phone on the desk. You’re about to open your mouth when the mention of a familiar name stops you dead in tracks.
“Bet she's just a ditzy arm candy,” one of them remarks. “I won’t be surprised if he found her at a yacht party.”
The other gasps scandalously, pausing mid-way of applying her dark red lipstick. “You think she's an escort?”
“I don’t think. I know.” The first one smirks. “But then again, a guy who looks like that? With that kind of money? Hell, he could probably get with any woman in the world.”
“Yeah, you're right. I'd gladly get on my knees and be the sidepiece if Bucky Barnes asked me.”
The two receptionists snicker.
A few paces away, you're standing with hands curled into fists, commanding the red hot emotion in your chest to dissipate before you do something you might regret.
Instead, you clear your throat.
Two pairs of eyes look up, and the moment they catch sight of you—teeth chattering and skirt trickling with mud—their expressions twist into something unpleasant. Dismissive. Judgemental in a way that causes your skin to crawl and your ears to ring.
“Can I help you?” asks the one with the red lipstick.
“Hi. Yes, please. I, uh—” you shift on your feet, “—I'm here to see Mr. Barnes.”
“He's in a meeting,” she replies, already tapping something on her keyboard. “Do you have an appointment?”
“No, but—”
“You need an appointment to see Mr. Barnes.” She smiles, so sickly sweet as she drags her eyes from your head to your toe. “I can't let you in. Sorry.”
“Okay. But I'm actually—”
“She said you can't go up, Ma’am,” the other receptionist interjects.
“If you could just call his office and tell them—”
“Mr. Barnes doesn't receive walk-ins,” says Red Lipstick, her gaze acrid when it lands on you. “Especially not from… strangers.”
You grit your teeth. “I'm his wife.”
The other receptionist snorts.
It takes everything in your power not to snap right then and there.
“Look,” you sigh, tugging at the hem of your drenched hoodie, “can I at least borrow a phone, then? Just to call his secretary?”
Red Lipstick sneers. “We're not a public phone booth.”
Next to her, the other receptionist doesn't even attempt to hide her smug smile. There is an ache prickling in the back of your eyes. You're soaked, freezing, and exhausted, and the last thing you need is to defend your identity in front of two people who seem to have resolved their judgement upon seeing your appearance. All you want to do right now is to get home, curl up in bed, and forget that this whole day ever happened in the first place.
“Fine,” you mutter, exhaling a stuttering breath, “I'll just wait then.”
You head towards the seating area several feet away, the leather squeaking the moment you sink down. Red Lipstick whispers something to her friend before picking up the desk phone.
Two minutes later, security shows up.
Chill licks up your spine as you watch the man in the uniform talking to the receptionist from earlier, the latter throwing daggers in your direction without bothering subtlety. You move your tote bag to your lap—as though the material can shield you from the impending confrontation—and clutch the canvas in a death grip when the security starts marching towards you.
“Ma'am.” The large man, all muscles and ear-piece, towers over you. “I need to ask you to leave the premises.”
You close your eyes.
This can't be happening.
“I'm not doing anything wrong.”
“You're causing a disruption.”
“Disruption?” you seethe, your voice shakier than you would like it to be. “I'm only sitting.”
“Please, Ma'am—”
“I'm just waiting for my husband, alright?” Your voice cracks. “Just—just please… give me five minutes. I'll just wait for his meeting to be over and—”
You don't get to finish your sentence.
Before you can fully process what is happening, the security guard has stomped forward, plunging his claws around your forearm, and jerks you up to your feet. You yelp as he begins to try and drag you away, scrambling to peel his vicious grip.
“Hey! What are you—? Let me go!”
“You need to stop resisting, Ma'am.”
“I'm not! Please, just… just let me go, you're hurting me!”
All around you, people have paused and begun watching. Businessmen halt mid-call. Women with perfect sleek buns turn their heads to lour at the sudden commotion. You're half certain that someone in the crowd has even pulled out a phone to record the whole thing.
And yet, none of them steps forward to help.
Shame creeps up your neck, burning in tandem with the ache that now travels through your arm. Your sneakers screech against the marble floors as the security heaves you across the lobby, unperturbed by your whines of pain and your desperate pleas.
No one seems to care.
That is until a voice breaks through your choked cries.
“What the hell is going on here?”
The crowd falls into a sudden hush, panting like the Red Sea to reveal the figure standing in front of the closing elevator doors.
Bucky Barnes.
His suit jacket is unbuttoned, tie slightly loosened from the tumult of the day. You can almost picture him tugging repeatedly at that piece of fabric as he sits in one of his tediously long meetings—the same tie that you bought for him several months prior. His steel-blue eyes scan the surroundings, flicking from the mass of foreign faces standing in his lobby to the scene that has seemingly rendered everyone frozen on their spot. His gaze lands on you—dripping, scared, and on the verge of crying—and immediately zeroes in on the security guard's iron grip around your forearm.
Bucky steps forward.
And something inside of him snaps.
"Get. Your fucking hands. Off my wife."
Tumblr media
The meeting is running long.
Too long.
Bucky keeps glancing at the clock above the screen monitor, counting down the minutes until the longer hand strikes twelve. He barely hears the pitch being presented. Not when his mind isn't even present in the room. His phone sits face-down on the table, buzzing occasionally with email notifications, meeting reminders, missed phone calls, but not from the one person who matters the most.
You.
He sighs quietly.
When the final slide clicks off and the lights turn on again, Bucky doesn't waste time standing to his feet. “Good work,”  he says, already halfway out of the door. “We'll review the proposal and follow up. That's all.”
He doesn’t even give his team a chance to respond.
The hallway is deserted as he walks past. Bucky enters his office and shuts the door behind him, checking his phone to see the last four messages he has sent to you.
[08.28 AM] Have fun with Wanda and Nat. I'll see you tonight, angel ❤️
[11.47 AM] Still with the girls, sweetheart?
[12.04 PM] Let me know once you're home
[01.58 PM] Angel?
His jaw clenches.
Bucky presses the call button and brings the device to his ear, cursing when the line goes straight to voicemail. You never do this—leave his messages hanging for hours like this. You always answer—with a text or a phone call, sometimes with a single emoji response when you're too busy or too tired to form a proper one. A total silence is unheard of, and Bucky knows that this can mean one of two things.
Either your phone is dead… or something is wrong.
Bucky’s gut plummets.
He hits another number on his phone, his driver instantly answering on the second ring.
“Bring the car to the front,” Bucky orders. “I'm heading home.”
“Yes, sir.”
Bucky moves in quick lightning. Gathering his things and shoving important documents into his briefcase. He leaves the office and stops by his secretary's desk, who shoots out of her seat immediately upon seeing him.
“Cancel everything else for today. I'm going home.”
“Wait, what? But, Mr. Barnes, you still have—”
“I don’t care,” he says, already turning towards the elevator. “I need to check on my wife.”
Inside the elevator, Bucky fiddles with his cuffs, trying not to imagine the worst. There is a good chance you probably just forgot to charge your phone and got way too caught up reuniting with your friends to notice the time. Maybe you're already back home, asleep, snoring softly into his pillow. Maybe there really is no reason for Bucky to worry.
But he does worry.
Bucky has been worried for sometime. Particularly since the story of your wedding broke a month ago.
He didn't say anything to keep you from stressing, but on the second week of your honeymoon in the Caribbean, Bucky received word from his security team that a stalker had tried to break into his house in Westchester. The perpetrator was caught and handed to the police before things could escalate, but it still wasn't enough to ease Bucky's mind. He had to relocate your residence temporarily to his penthouse in Manhattan—telling you a little white lie about doing some renovations at the house. Thankfully, you're none the wiser. You've always loved living at the heart of the bustling city, anyway.
The elevator doors open with a ding.
Bucky steps out, pausing in his tracks when he realizes there is a horde gathering in the lobby. People are murmuring among themselves, their necks craning as they attempt to sneak a peek at the center of the ruckus. Bucky's brows furrow.
“What the hell is going on here?” he bellows.
The crowd parts.
Bucky examines his surroundings. Seeing at least two people with their phones out, receptionists standing behind their desks, and heads turning towards a scene unfolding near the sofas.
There is a man there.
A man in uniform—a security guy—who has his hand around a woman's arm, trying to drag her away across the lobby.
The woman is drenched and shaking, voice hoarse from pleas that have fallen on deaf ears. When he finally catches her eyes—your eyes—blown wide with panic, the rest of the world seems to evaporate.
Bucky sees red.
“Get. Your fucking hands. Off my wife.”
The security guard falters, just for the briefest of milliseconds, but it's all Bucky needs to yank his hands off you. He shoves the guard so hard the man stumbles nearly five feet back. Bucky doesn't stop there—he grabs the guard by his collars, the man now trembling with fear in front of him. It doesn’t matter. Not to Bucky. Not after what he just saw this man was doing to you.
“Are you out of your goddamn mind?!” Bucky froths, face twisting into stone. “Touching my wife like that? Dragging her out? Do you want me to fucking kill you?!”
“S-Sir, I—”
“Bucky.”
His head snaps.
Your voice is meek beneath the tense air of the lobby, but it reaches him nonetheless. It always does. One short utterance of his name from you is all it takes for Bucky to loosen his grip on the security guard, his breath catching in his throat as he finally takes you in—soaked to the skin, shivering, shoes drenched under your feet.
Everything else melts away.
In two long strides, Bucky is now standing before you, his large palms cradling your face with a softness that startlingly opposes the man that has threatened death upon another human being five seconds ago. There is a pinch in his forehead as he studies your face. His face contorting as if the sight of you alone has plunged a blade so deeply into his soul.
“Sweetheart.” His voice breaks. “What happened?”
Your lips quiver. “I-I'm sorry, Bucky. I didn't mean to… I lost my wallet, and my phone’s dead. Then it just—it started raining, and I—I didn’t know what else to do—”
“Shh, angel. It's okay.” He tugs you close, arms wrapping around you without hesitation, not caring the fact that your rain-soaked clothes are probably ruining his expensive suit. You press into him, an involuntary shudder running through your limbs. “Shit, angel, you're freezing.”
Bucky shrugs out of his jacket and wraps it around your shoulders, firm hands rubbing your back to transfer some of his warmth to you. His voice is so unbearably tender as it falls on your ears.
“I’ve got you now,” he whispers. “You’re safe, angel. I’ve got you.”
Then, Bucky turns.
Slowly.
“You,” he barks at the security guard, blue eyes burning with hellfire. “Explain. Now.”
The guard swallows. “Sir, I-I didn’t know. The receptionist said she was causing a disturbance. Said she was crazy. Claimed she was your wife. I was just following—”
“She is my wife.” Bucky’s voice is deathly quiet. Venomous. “And you fucking manhandled her.”
“I-I didn’t mean to—”
Bucky turns his gaze towards the front desk.
The girl with the red lipstick is now as white as a sheet. Beside her, the other receptionist doesn't seem to be doing much better.
“Mr. Barnes,” Red Lipstick begins. “I didn’t—I didn’t know. She didn’t look like… She just sat on the furniture like she owned the place, and she—”
“She does own the damn place,” Bucky snaps. “And she told you who she was. And instead of doing the one job you have—calling my office—you humiliated her. Called security. Let this entire lobby watch while you treat her like dirt.”
“I—I was just trying to—”
Bucky raises his hand.
The girl's jaw snaps shut.
“I want all of you gone. Now. Security. Receptionists. Both of you. Fired. I don’t want to see any of you here again.”
The other receptionist tries to speak, “But sir—”
“Do you want me to fucking repeat myself?”
The three of them stay quiet.
Bucky turns back to you then, still enveloped in his jacket, looking smaller and more vulnerable than the person he knows you to be. Something inside him splinters at the sight.
“Let’s get you home, sweetheart,” he murmurs.
He guides you through the lobby, tucking you against his side as if he's afraid to let even an inch of space separate the two of you from now on. Before he reaches the rotating doors, Bucky halts his steps. He sweeps his gaze across the crowd, a raging flame in his sternum when he sees some people with their phones still out.
Bucky takes out his own mobile, typing in something without ever retracting his other arm away from your frame. Seconds later, his driver appears through the rotating doors, taking a subtle double take at your state, before nodding dutifully at the two of you.
“I want you to get all the names of the people in this lobby,” Bucky commands. “Give them to me by tomorrow. Check their phones. Confiscate them if you find anything of my wife. Prepare a fund to reimburse them for the device, we will not be returning them.”
The driver nods.
“Oh, by the way—” Bucky adds, gesturing at the security guard and the two receptionists, “—those three? I want them gone by the end of the day. Make sure to blacklist their names. Notify our partners as well.”
With that, Bucky leads you away again. Out of the office, out of the rumpus, and straight into the safety of his arms.
Tumblr media
By the time you reach the apartment, New York City is in mourning.
The rain has exploded into a full-blown storm. Through the floor-to-ceiling windows, you can see the darkness that has befallen the entire city. The roar of thunder echoes through the floor, still rough, still formidable, but a little quieter now that you're swaddled in the safety of your home.
Next to you, another thunder is subsiding.
Bucky doesn't let go of your hand as you step further into the apartment. He holds you like you're procelain, tucking you a little closer into his side every time he feels a tremble running through you. His lips are pressed onto your temple as he leads you towards the hallway.
“You're shivering, sweetheart,” he points out. “Let me run you a bath, okay?”
You don't have the energy to respond.
In the bathroom, Bucky guides you to sit on the toilet. He moves through the space like a domesticated cyclone—filling in the tub, lighting up your favorite candles, adding in that lavender and eucalyptus oil that he knows you love. Steam is rising within minutes. Bucky turns back to you with the gaze of a man who is trying to spell out love with his eyes alone.
“I'm gonna take off your clothes now, alright?”
He sheds each layer with reverence. As if he was revealing your secrets rather than taking off rain-soaked worn cotton. Bucky pauses every now and then to squeeze your hand, peppering tiny kisses along the knuckles, shifting closer every time he detects gooesbumps on your skin.
The whole thing is so sweet.
He is so sweet.
And it makes the whole dam you've been straining to uphold finally collapses.
“I’m sorry,” you whisper, surprising him.
“Sorry?” Bucky is perplexed. “Angel, why are you sorry?”
“S-Sorry for… for showing up like that. For making a scene. I shouldn't—I must’ve embarrassed you—”
“Hey,” he says firmly, cupping your face in his hands. “No. Don’t do that.”
Tears cling to your lashes.
“You can never embarrass me, sweetheart. You’re my wife. The most important thing in my life. If anything, I should’ve been there sooner. None of this is on you.” Bucky brushes his nose to yours, massaging the nape of your neck. “I'm so sorry, angel. You didn’t deserve to go through any of that.”
Your breath stammers.
Bucky leans back and presses his lips to your forehead.
“Come on.” He smiles. So tender and loving you think you might unravel completely. “Let me take care of you.”
He helps you into the tub, guiding you down into the warmth with a steady hand on your back. The water laps against your skin, chasing the chill from your aching bones as well as your bruised heart. The next thing that comes out of your mouth is a relieved sigh.
Bucky moves to stand.
Your hand shoots out and curls around his wrist before he can rise.
“Join me,” is all you say.
He doesn’t need to be told twice.
Bucky never takes his eyes off you even when he starts stripping down his clothes. He steps behind you in the tub, tugging you to his chest the moment he has settled into the bath. Your whole body liquefies on instinct the second his arms engulf your middle.
“I’ve got you now,” he murmurs, pledging the words to your temple. “You’re safe.”
Bucky reaches for your soap, lathering his plams with the scent of lavender and peppermint. You sigh and sink deeper into his chest as you feel his touch working over your skin—shoulders, arms, the curve of your back. He kisses each spot every time he finishes rinsing it off, running his tongue down your neck, whispering praises with each breath.
“So strong. So brave.” He nips at your ear. “So proud of you, sweetheart. I love you so much.”
Bucky continues peppering your skin with kisses. Experimenting with the graze of his teeth and the scrape of his tongue. You squirm in his hold when his fingers begin swiping at your chest. Subtle, at first, but then he takes a nipple between his fingers and twist it just enough to make you mewl in delight.
It's the best goddamn sound he has ever heard on this planet.
He begins massaging your breast with his left hand, the other one sliding lower and lower with every bruise he is sucking into your neck. Bucky parts your nether lips, feeling you soft and compliant under his touch. You jolt in his arms the moment he skims over your sensitive nub.
“B-Bucky—”
“Shh, I got you, angel. Don't worry,” he soothes, burying his face in your throat. “Just feel me. Gonna make you feel so good, okay? Just lean back and relax for me.”
You follow his instruction, letting yourself fall back onto his chest. Bucky starts rubbing you slowly, earnestly, circling his fingers around the one place that is yearning for him, never quite touching it just to tease those breathless sounds out of you even further. In front of him, you're panting. Your hips grinding against his hand as you attempt to chase more of those heavenly feelings.
“Look at you,” Bucky muses, relishing the way you're chasing more of his touch. “Always so beautiful for me. You know that, don't you, sweetheart?”
“Bucky,” you whine.
“Shh, I know, angel. I know. Doing so good for me.”
Bucky rubs his fingers over your clit, groaning when the motion tears a wrecked sound out of your throat. He carries on with his ministrations, playing your body like a musician would their favorite instrument. Alternating between lazy strokes and desperate flicks that have you gasping and writhing against him.
“Oh God.” You close your eyes, brows creasing when Bucky eventually plunges two fingers into your heat.
He moves them in and out of you languidly. Curling his digits, feeling your walls contract and suck him deeper each time he stimulates that one spot that always paints your vision with stars. You're gripping his forearm now. Your head falling back onto his shoulder as his other hand slides downward towards your bundle of nerves.
Everything feels heightened.
Everything feels good.
You angle your head to the side and kiss his jaw as you feel a familiar knot forming in your abdomen.
“Bucky,” you whimper, locking your eyes with his. “I-I'm gonna—oh God, don't stop—I wanna—”
“Wanna cum, angel?” Bucky purrs, running his nose down your cheekbone. “Can feel you squeezing my fingers—shit. Go ahead, sweetheart. Let go for me. Let me see you.”
You come apart within seconds. The murmurs of Bucky's encouragement as your music and the kisses he leaves on your shoulder as your anchor. His fingers continue to drag in and out of you with reverence, prolonging your pleasure, never once relenting until he is sure you've given him everything that you could.
“That's it, sweetheart. You did so well.” He tilts your chin up, leaving a chaste kiss in the corner of your lips. “Such a good girl for me.”
He holds you until your breathing slows, until the thrum under your skin quietens and your nerve endings stop lighting up in flames. Bucky helps you out of the bath with a towel already warm in his hands, drying you carefully, each brush a well-concocted plan because he knows you deserve nothing less than the utmost form of care.
Once you're dressed, Bucky leads you to your shared bed. You're already half asleep by the time he tucks the covers around your frame, brushing his thumb across your cheek.
“I love you,” he confesses into the quiet. “You’re my whole world, angel.”
You blink at him, eyes drowsy but warm. “Love you, too.”
Bucky slides in beside you, pulling you close until your head is rested on his chest and your hand finds the steady beating of his heart.
Outside, the storm continues to rage. Anguish in its name and its promise, chasing thunders with the stable clatter of the rain.
Inside, though, it's quiet. A stretch of silence merely rustled by the intakes of breath and the soft snores of Bucky's whole life—his wife. His world. Kept securely inside the certainty of his embrace where nothing and no one else would be able to lay their hands on you.
And with that reassurance, Bucky closes his eyes, drifting off with his heart stitched solidly to yours.

Laptop Delivery ⋅ Bang Chan
Practice got a little more eventful thanks to an forgotten laptop.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was a peaceful morning. Fresh from your shower, you padded into your kitchen, planning to grab a quick breakfast before heading to uni. But something on the counter stopped you in your tracks – Chris' laptop.
Your heart sank. He’d stayed over last night but had to leave early for dance practice. The sight of his laptop sitting on the counter screamed trouble. Normally, he wouldn’t bring it over – it was too precious, filled with tracks, demos, and other vital material for the group. You knew his schedule was packed, and forgetting something this important could only mean bad news.
You snapped a picture of it and sent it to him with the caption:
"Forgot something?"
Still, you couldn’t shake the thought that it might be much more important. Without hesitation, you called him, even though you knew he was at practice.
After a few rings, he picked up, slightly breathless. "Hey, baby. I’m… kinda at practice right now – what’s up?"
"Did you leave your laptop here on purpose?" you asked, though you already knew the answer.
"What?" His voice was sharp with confusion. "No, I thought I— wait, let me check the picture you send me."
A muffled curse followed as realization hit. "Oh shit, no. I’ve got a meeting with some producers right after practice. I can’t believe I left it there." His tone was laced with stress.
Chris hesitated. "I—" he started, then stopped himself. You could almost hear the gears turning in his head. He was probably considering rushing back to your place after practice, which would make him late for the meeting. Worse, you wouldn’t even be there to open the door since you'd already be at uni by then.
"I… could… bring it to you," you offered cautiously, knowing what value the device had to the group.
"Really? Would that be possible?" His voice softened, a mixture of relief and guilt.
"Yeah, but I’d have to leave now. I still have uni today," you said, already moving to grab your things.
"Ah, that's amazing. You're an angel," he said warmly. "I’ll text you the room number."
Skipping breakfast, you grabbed his laptop and headed out. On the way, you planned to stop by a bakery for something quick after the delivery, before heading straight to class.
-----
At the JYP building, you knocked lightly on the practice room door, despite Chris’ text saying you could walk right in. The door opened to reveal Felix, his face lighting up with a grin.
"Hey!" he greeted, pulling you into a quick hug.
"Hi, Lix," you replied with a small smile. From across the room, Chris’ head shot up, his eyes locking on you. Relief and affection softened his expression as he quickly made his way towards you.
"Hey," he murmured, stopping just in front of you.
"Hi," you replied, reaching into your bag to pull out his laptop. As soon as the sleek silver device emerged, the room fell silent.
The members froze, eyes wide. It wasn’t just a laptop to them; they knew what was inside – tracks, demos, lyrics, everything. The fact that you were holding it was proof of something bigger: the trust Chris had in you.
But before anyone could speak, Chris gently pulled you into the room, his fingers brushing your cheeks as he softly pulled your mask down.
And then, he kissed you.
It was natural, familia – something the two of you had done countless times before. But here, in the quiet practice room, with – unbeknownst to you – all eyes on you, it felt different. His lips were warm and soft, a silent expression of gratitude and love.
The members didn’t move, still processing what they were seeing. None of them had expected this. Sure, they knew how much Chris cared about you, but seeing it displayed so openly caught them off guard.
When he finally pulled back, his ears burned red, and he muttered a sheepish "I’ll call you later, okay? Thanks again", as he took the laptop from your hands.
You, cheeks blazing, barely managed a nod as you stepped back. The silence lingered for a beat longer before you mumbled, "Y-yeah. Bye, everyone."
You turned and left, closing the door behind you.
The moment the door clicked shut, chaos erupted.
"YAH, HYUNG!"
"I can't believe you just did that!"
"PDA MUCH?!”
"Channie hyung, what was that?!"
"Wow, so smooth. Too bad your ears give you away."
Outside, you heard the screaming teasing very clearly and couldn’t help but smile, your cheeks still burning as you walked down the hallway. Chris could handle the teasing – he brought it upon himself after all.

you were trapped against the bed, feeling sylus’s hot breath against your ear when he gently bites down on the shell of it. his large hands were already tracing at your sides, admiring every dip and curve before telling you, “i can smell you from here, sweetie…”
he trails off, already flattening his hand against your abdomen before trailing further down the expanse of your body, not stopping until he was practically cupping your drenched center. with a subtle flick of his fingertips, he manages to shred the flimsy material of your panties, freeing you from the damp fabric as he inserts a finger within your heat.
by now, you were left panting with need for him, nails gripping at the sheets below you as the onychinus leader worked on stretching out your walls. when he feels the way you clench oh so beautifully around him, he knew that he was a goner-
practically obsessed with the way you felt like silk against his calloused hands.
with a low groan of your name, he removes his fingers from your slick walls, licking them clean before picking you up. the movement was so sudden that you had to brace yourself on his broad shoulders. a smug expression was seen on your lover’s face the moment he brings you down on his thighs, clenching the muscles as you felt them create an almost hedonistic friction against you.
“ride me.” his command comes out as a low growl, already gripping at your waist as he set the perfect pace for you. your lips were parted as a series of soft mewls were heard as you tighten your hold on his shoulders while dragging your aching cunt across his thighs.
you felt as though you were slowly losing your mind, the sensation of your swollen clit rubbing against his muscled thigh causing your pleasure to reach even further heights as you cried out to him-
only to be torn away from your impending release the moment sylus removed you from his thigh. tears dot your vision at the sudden loss of him, yet when he places your writhing form back on the bed, his devilish expression doesn’t go unnoticed.
“sorry sweetie, but the only thing i’ll ever let you cum on is this cock.”
Tumblr media
admittedly, you were being a tad bit whiny when it came to gaining zayne’s attention.
here he was, back at home where you desperately wanted him to be-
yet instead of spending time with you, he was cooped up in his office!
wishing to voice your disdain for how he was still working, you enter the room to see zayne pouring over some documents with his glasses on. he meets your gaze while giving you a kind smile.
“what is it, honey?”
“hmph, when you told me you were able to take some time off, i was really happy and excited! but now, seeing you doing work leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. why can’t you take a break and spend some time with me?”
zayne sighs, leaning back in his chair while patting at his lap. “i’m sorry, you’re absolutely right. why don’t you keep me company as i finish off a few things?”
all too eager to just be with him, you happily skip towards him, settling yourself on his lap as he returned his attention back to the paperwork at hand.
minutes were spent in silence, and admittedly, you were getting bored. adjusting yourself so that both of your legs were on either side of his lap, you heard zayne sharply inhale for a brief second (was he trembling as well?) before turning his attention back to the papers.
upon feeling his thighs grazing at your clothed center, a wicked grin was painted on your face when you braced yourself on his desk before dragging your hips forward. your sudden grinding on his thighs makes the akso surgeon drop the papers, your name coming out in a low hiss as you worked on riding him.
you had no idea such friction could feel so good, and with zayne clenching his muscles ever so slightly, you felt as though you were slowly losing your mind-
the paperwork already forgotten as he relished in the sensation of you using him for your own pleasure.
Tumblr media
it starts out innocently enough, with you deciding to read together while sitting on your boyfriend’s lap. admittedly, when your friends recommended that you read a particularly spicy book, you didn’t think it would make you feel anything-
only to be proven wrong just a few chapters later.
the love interest described had blond hair and blue eyes, just like your xavier. and he was practically a god between the sheets, worshipping the main heroine with a fervor that made you clench your legs together.
and when their respective release occurred, you were unconsciously grinding your hips back and forth on xavier’s lap.
your sudden movements earns a grunt from him, yet he doesn’t say nor does anything to stop you. with his own book forgotten, the young hunter tosses the novel to the side, opting to help with your release when he grips at your hips with both of his hands.
you gasp when you felt xavier move you even faster against him, making your clothed center catch his knee each time he forces you to rut against him. with your own novel forgotten, you brace yourself on top of his legs, chasing your high as you kept grinding with a desperation above him.
yet it all came crashing down on you when xavier places a hand down your shorts and panties, giving your swollen bundle of nerves a pinch that sent you over the edge within seconds. spilling yourself onto his hand, you shiver when xavier pushes a finger within your pulsating heat, helping you ride out your release before whispering in your ear.
“think you can do the same thing for me, but this time on my cock?”

when rafayel asked if you could pose for a personal sketch, you saw no reason to deny him.
however, you weren’t expecting to be in this situation.
for starters, you were left utterly bare for him, your naked breasts heaving with every move you made. secondly, the lemurian had demanded that you use his thighs for your own pleasure-
and he meant every word of it.
as the artist was laid back comfortably against the bed with his sketchpad in hand, you were settled on his lap, dragging your naked sex over the silk material of his clothes. with each grind, you left a shiny sheen of your arousal against his pants, yet was unable to show even a modicum of decency when it all just felt too good for you.
“you’re such a gorgeous princess… my beloved who can do no wrong in my eyes.”
rafayel clenches his thighs while the sounds of charcoal scratching against the pages of his book becomes more prominent. the artist doesn’t tear his eyes away from you, taking in the expression of your teary eyes and how you kept biting down at your bottom lip.
“r-rafe, please…! it’s t’much for me…”
he gently coos at you, relishing in your soft whines of his name when he places his sketchbook off to the side along with the charcoal.
“you’ve been such a good girl for me as well, so i guess this calls for a reward.” rafayel tells you with a sweet smile, adjusting his pants so that his cock was freed before bringing your silken heat down on him.
and when you were finally impaled by his cock, you became an incoherent mess of moans as you rode him with a desperation.

“i’m gonna make you so damn wet f’me. gonna make you cum so much that you’ll forget your own name.”
caleb’s words serve as a promise to what was to come when he takes your bare body and settles you on top of his lap. spreading your legs so that you could straddle him, the colonel lays back against the couch while snapping his fingers.
“go on. get to work and show me just how much you want me.”
letting out a whimper, you brace yourself on his broad shoulders before grinding on him, allowing your juices to stain at his skin. he lets out a hiss upon feeling how wet you were, his cock already poking at your thighs each time you ground yourself against him.
“that’s it, babygirl. such a good girl f’me.” caleb’s praises were making the heat rush to your head, causing you to become even bolder when you end up stroking his cock with the underside of your cunt instead. this effectively causes his hisses to morph into a guttural groan of your name.
unable to take it much longer, caleb places both hands against your hips, keeping you still before thrusting his cock fully inside of you. both of you toss your heads back in response to such a hedonistic sensation, with caleb setting a brutal pace when he fucks himself into your heat over and over again. the red hot pleasure came to a boiling point, with your mind drunk on it all as you allow caleb to use you as his personal toy.
with a smirk, caleb places wet kisses down your throat, continuing to impale you with his cock while telling you,
“this is what you get for playing with fire, pips.”

Saja Boys x Rumi’s Sister! Reader
A/N: K-Pop Demon Hunters has me in a chokehold and I have so many ideas floating around in my head but I’m really bad at actually writing and executing them. But I had to write something to help with this fixation. Also, I don’t know how the Honmoon works. Like, can anyone alter or control it after some training? Do you need to be born with a certain predisposition? So, I kinda just made some stuff up.
Edit: Now has Part 2! Part 3! Part 4!
Tumblr media
‼️SPOILERS FOR KPDH‼️
“Okay, you guys are just going down there, right? I’m gonna go pick up some groceries,” You tell the three girls in disguise.
“Thanks, (Y/n)!”
“Thanks.”
“Thanks, (Y/n).”
Sighing, you wave over your shoulder as you separate from the girls. You managed their wardrobe and visuals, you were able to take the vague ideas in their heads and their music and bring them together in stunning visuals while maintaining their individual styles and own input.
But, you were also Rumi’s twin sister. You grew up alongside her under the guidance of your Aunt Celine. You trained with her, learning to fight, dance, and sing with her. However… You were never able to tap into the Honmoon like her or Mira or Zoey.
Which meant you couldn’t debut with your sister or help her with the Honmoon. All you could do was support her and the other girls how your Aunt Celine taught you: Cover up, keep your patterns hidden, cook for them, clean for them, make sure they always look beautiful, no fractures or faults in their image. And no faults of your own must ever be visible either.
You love your sister, there was never any doubt about that. And you love Mira and Zoey too, they were practically your sisters too. But you couldn’t help but feel… invisible and jealous sometimes. You wanted to perform too. Just once.
“Excuse me, miss?”
You were shaken from your thoughts by a smooth, male voice and a colorful flier being held out to you. Looking further up, your eyes widened and your face warmed at the sight of such a handsome guy right in front of you. You were no stranger to beauty working in the idol industry, but wow. Soft, black hair, warm brown eyes, clear skin and a soft smile. Your heart couldn’t help but skip.
“Uhm, I’m sorry,” You shook your head, trying to focus on listening to what the boy said. You couldn’t help but swallow thickly, your face still hot, “Can I help you?”
He smiled kindly, “My friends and I are having our debut performance this afternoon just a street over. We’d love for you to come watch and support us.”
Flustered by his charm and his beauty, you took the flier from him. “The Saja Boys…” You read. Looking around, you tried to spot the rest of his group.
You were startled when an arm suddenly landed on your shoulders. Actually, make that two arms.
Looking up, two more gorgeously unreal guys were on each side of you, an arm around each of your shoulders. One was a buff beauty with shorter magenta hair in a yellow beanie, his shirt hanging on for dear life. The other had longer pink hair that framed his face in a heart shape.
“That’s right,” the long haired guy smiled on your left.
“We’re the Saja Boys,” the buff guy on your right smirked. The two boys spun to slide into place on each side of the black haired guy, the three posing. “I’m Abby,” the muscle man posed, flexing which caused his shirt to strain.
“I’m Romance~” He blew a kiss at you.
“And I’m Jinu,” the black haired guy winked, smiling which made your heart pound all that harder to be the center of attention of three gorgeous guys. “We also have Baby and Mystery who are passing out fliers somewhere as well.”
“Right here, boss.” Oh great, more hot guys to make your heart explode.
A mint haired guy looked at you out of the corner of his eye as he walked past, joining the other three with a cool air. Another guy with long, pastel hair that covered most of his face walked past as well. Did he just smell you…? Was he purring…?
Oh boy. These boys were gonna give you a heart attack at this rate. Your heart was racing and you felt so flustered and awkward having their attention. “Uhm, wow, sorry, I’ll try to be there to support your debut! If you’ll excuse me,” You gave a small bow. Escape. Too many hot guys.
“You promise, sweetheart?~”
Your face flushed darker and you hurried away faster, “Y-Yup! See you there! Good luck!” You had groceries to get.
After getting enough groceries for you and the Huntr/x girls, you checked the time and noted that you had time to see that debut performance. The girls hadn’t texted that they headed back yet so they must still be at the doctors. Carrying the bags, you walked over to the other street, which was only a little more crowded than usual.
It seemed like you were just in time as a cloud of pink smoke grew in the middle of the street. You got closer as music started to fill the street and from the smoke, the five boys appeared.
“Don't want you, need you~ Yeah, I need you to fill me up~ 마시고 마셔 봐도~ 성에 차지 않아~ Got a feeling that, oh, yeah (Yeah)~ You could be everything that~ That I need (Need), taste so sweet (Sweet)~ Every sip makes me want more, yeah~” The black haired guy, Jinu, seemed to take the main vocals. The song was so bouncy and catchy that you couldn’t help but bounce your shoulders as the crowd grew around you. You got pushed to the front of the crowd and blushed as Jinu winked at you. You blushed, holding your groceries tighter.
“You're all I can think of~ Every drop I drink up~ You're my soda pop~ My little soda pop~ Cool me down, you're so hot~ Pour me up, I won't stop~ You're my soda pop~ My little soda pop~”
Okay, Huntr/x would always have your whole heartfelt support as your favorite group, but the Saja Boys were also really good… Like, if you weren’t Rumi’s sister, you might’ve jumped ship…
You were just a girl after all…
You blinked when some of the boys started blowing kisses into the crowd, launching hearts out of thin air. If they were just debuting, how’d they afford such great special effects…? These boys must’ve worked hard.
At least you thought so until you saw a flash of demon patterns and eyes on some of the boys.
You gasped. Were they… like you and Rumi? Part demons? Wait, no, they can control their demon features, you and Rumi can’t. No matter how much you tried to hide the growing patterns inching across your skin, it never worked. All you could do was cover up with long sleeves and pants.
They were just performing though. The girls would probably kill them as soon as they could once they caught wind of this demon idol group, because demons were all evil, emotionless creatures… But, if they were just demon guys performing because they wanted to perform, if they were nice demons, then wouldn’t that help prove that it was okay for you to live too…?
They helped the girl at the corn dog stand and gave those stressed kids some gifts, and they didn’t try to suck a soul once.
Your heart pounded, not just with how attractive the five were, but with hope.
The performance ended as the boys took their final poses before taking a moment to wave and send kisses into the crowd. As you scanned the group of boys, Romance sent you a flying kiss, Abby flashed you some finger hearts, Jinu’s smile widened at you, Baby raised an eyebrow at you, and Mystery gave a head nod.
What were you supposed to do now…?
