It's been a while since I drew an eye. And I've been wanting to experiment with some colored pens again for a minute. I have a forever fascination with the creation of the eyes and all the amazing details that come through the age of time. . This study was a lot of fun to draw and a great creative break from my larger projects. Sometimes you have to go backwards to go forward, if that makes any sense. Most useful tips for drawing eyes: ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ 1. Eyelashes cross-cross towards the center ⠀⠀ 2. The “whites” of the eye are actually a light grey 😊 ⠀⠀ 3. When drawing the iris, make sure the white of the eye isn’t showing at the top (that makes the eye look cracked out 🤪) ⠀⠀ 4. If drawing with a graphite pencil, use a black colored pencil to darken the shadows ⠀⠀ 5.
