One of the things I love about kdramas is that it really subverts what masculinity is supposed to be. You see the loser who's down bad for the female lead (Lovely runner, queen of tears, Love Next Door, Strong Girl Do Bong Soon, the Judge from Hell), you see the soft masculinity in hometown cha cha cha, summer strike and Doctor Slump and extraordinary attorney woo, the protective kind of masculinity in any of Ji Chang Wook's and Ahn Bo Hyun's works, the reassured and confident masculinity of Seo Kang Joon in Undercover High school and Lee Jun Hyuk in Love scout, the playful masculinity in Twinkling Watermelon and Crash Course in Romance, the stoic but gentle masculinity in Doctor Romantic and Hierarchy, and the "I care about you and only you" kind of masculinity in Vincenzo to name a few.
This is progress from the old kdramas and I get that it's fictional and in real life, some of these actors are assholes. But in the era where Toxic masculinity is rampant, I think we can turn towards kdrama to have some inkling of what kind of man we should strive to be and what kind of man we should want. This should not something we see only in fiction. We should raise our sons (I'm 21) to be like this so that one day it's not just a concept for fictional love stories.

Sharing is caring - Choi Seung Hyun/T.O.P x reader x Kwon Ji-Yong

Summary: After being stood up, two rather attractive men decide to make the night fun for you anyways.
warnings; THIS IS SOME FILTH BABES, PURE SMUT, THREESOME
As you walked into the club you could feel the bass to the music vibrating your feet as you walked, making your way over to the bar you ordered yourself a few drinks. You were waiting for your date to show up, meeting on a dating app your friend had downloaded to your phone a few weeks before, you waited for about forty-five minutes before you made your way to the dance floor, if he wasn't going to show up you might as well have fun anyways, you had already gotten drunk, so why not? As you nodded along to the music playing from the giant speakers by the DJ booth you noticed two men with brightly colored hair off to the side talking rather heatedly.
It didn't take long before nodding along to the beat turned into you dancing your drunk little heart out, as you bounced on the balls of your feet swinging and swiveling your hips Ji-Yong took notice. A smirk playing on his lips as you spun around, letting him get a better view of your face, smacking his hand against his friends chest he pointed the mystery girl out "Now that's a girl who I'd wanna see at our shows" He shouted over the music, watching as his friend bit his lip using his friend hand to cover his growing smile. You smiled softly noticing the men watching you closely, as you rolled your body to the song that played you motioned them over playfully. Ji-Yong raised his eyebrows at you pointing at himself before moving his finger to point at Seung Hyun, you just shook your head giggling as you held up two fingers before spinning back around. As they made their way over they watched as you jumped along to the music, moving your hands up your torso before landing on your feet again moving your hips side to side, Seung Hyun laughed as he placed his hands on your hips matching your movements effortlessly "You're a good dancer, Jegi" You heard his deep voice in your ear, immediately causing a reaction between your legs "That's Seung Hyun, I'm Ji-Yong" The other man introduced, he was slightly shorter but his beauty made you want to stare at him for hours. "I'm y/n" You smiled at Ji-Yong before looking back to Seung Hyun to make sure he heard you as well, he just gave you smile that melt your knees weak.
As the night got later you and the two men you had met just got more and more intimate, as the music blared from the speakers you let your hips sway with your head resting against Seung Hyun's chest. His lips were pressed against your neck, his hands on your hips as Ji-Yong's hand roamed your body as he mimicked your dance moves, occasionally taking the back of your neck in his hand, ghosting his lips over yours as he stared into your e/c eyes before pulling away before your lips ever touched. To say you were extremely turned on by the men was an understatement, as the music slowly came to an end, Ji-yong quickly leaned close to your ear, letting his hand sit on the waistband of your skirt "Do you want to come back with us, y/n?" He asked lowly before pulling away from you to look at you, you nodded slightly, smiling shyly as Seung Hyun lead you to the door by your hips, Ji-Yong holding onto your hand gently as he pulled you both to their car.
You had all decided with their roommates it'd be best to go to your apartment instead, so the ride back was even worse than the club. As Ji-yong trailed open mouthed kisses down your neck, Seung Hyun kept a hand on your upper thigh kissing you deeply, you felt like your cheeks were on fire the entire time. Whenever you got your door unlocked Ji-Yong quickly turned the doorknob, Seung Hyun slamming his hand against the door causing it to swing open, you looked up towards him as he kept his arm outstretched pushing the door fully open as he kept you pinned between him and the wall. Ji-Yong made his way in, taking your hand, pulling you away to find your bedroom while Seung Hyun shut the door, as you made you way to the room, Ji-Yong's lips were quick to find yours, pushing his tongue past your lips exploring your mouth as Seung Hyun started pulling off his button up.
"Ji-Yong, focus on the lady, do I have to show you everything?" Seung Hyun asked, pulling your hand to pull you back against Seung Hyun's chest, his hand cupped your jaw before pressing his lips to yours deeply, you moaned against his lips as you felt his hand starting to slide your skirt down your legs, exposing your lace f/c underwear. Ji-Yong readjusted himself in his jeans, biting his lips as he watched your skirt fall and his friends lips move to your neck, pulling another sweet moan from your lips.
As you tilted your head slightly for Seung Hyun you felt Ji-Yong's hips press into yours from behind, purposely leaning back into him to cause a little more friction between you and his dick, he moaned softly slipping his hands around you to find the front of your underwear. Your nails dug into Seung Hyun's shoulders feeling Ji-Yong's fingers slide under the thin fabric keeping you from being completely naked, your shirt laying somewhere in the floor. Pulling you back from his friend, Ji-Yong pulled you both to sit on the edge of your bed, he held your hips helping you straddle his lip before you started grinding against his hips, moaning softly as you felt his hard on through his jeans. Seung Hyun would be lying if he said it wasn't hot watching you grind against Ji-Yong, seeing you both getting pleasure was something he never thought he'd find hot, but here he was, his cock stiffening even harder in his jeans, begging for release.
By the time you were being pulled away to Seung Hyun he was completely naked, his cock standing upright causing your stomach to do a flip "Think you can take it, Jegi?" He teased, you just smirked at him positioning yourself to sit on his lap, adjusting his cock to line up with your pussy before slowly lowering your hips to sit down fully on his lap. Seung Hyun clenched his jaw, desperately trying to not flip you over and fuck you into the mattress, you just let your head fall back, moaning softly as you started to roll your hips, your eyes falling onto Ji-Yong who was stripping himself of his jeans, as you started to bounce your hips you were stopped by Ji-Yong taking your hand, moving you to lay flat on the bed "She wants fucked, Seung Hyun, not to fuck herself" He said, sass lacing his tone as he moved to hover over you, positioning himself before pushing his cock into you, moaning softly as he bottomed out "Holy fuck, your pussy feels like heaven" He panted as he started to thrust his hips, purposely putting on a show for his friend, your back arched as his thrusts started to speed up "F-Fuck! J-Ji Yong!" You moaned loudly, tugging his hair roughly as he slammed his hips up, shoving his cock deeper inside of you. You squealed as you felt his cock brush against that certain part inside of you, holding onto his arms tightly "R-Right there! p-please!" You begged, whining loudly whenever you felt him pull out, Seung Hyun quick to take his place, pushing his cock into your pussy before quickly and roughly moving his hips, pulling multiple moans and cries from your lips.
Hearing Ji-Yong huff you felt hands on your waist, helping you move onto your hands and knees, Seung Hyun kept his hands on your hips, his hips returning to their previous pace as he pushed his cock back into you. Moaning softly you watched as Ji-Yong positioned himself in front of you, his hand grabbing your jaw gently as he looked down to you "This okay?" He asked as he positioned his cock at your lips, you could feel the precum slowly drip onto your bottom lip as you slowly took him into your mouth, never breaking eye contact as you started to bob your head, running your tongue against the underside of his cock, tracing each vein with the tip of your tongue as you took his cock deeper down your throat, moaning as Seung Hyun pushed his hips further against yours, causing you to take Ji-Yong's full cock down your throat. Ji-Yong's head fell back as his fingers tangled themselves in your hair, a string of breathy moans leaving his lips as you swallowed around him. Seung Hyun grunted as he gripped your hips, moving them with his as he bottomed out inside of you before rolling his hips, holding your hips to try and go as deep as he could, he could feel your pussy squeeze around him as your back arched. Your legs shook as you felt yourself getting closer to cumming, Ji-Yong's hand cupping your cheek gently as he guided his cock down your throat slowly before pulling out looking at his friend "Switch me." He demanded, shuttering as he felt your lips part slightly to lick any precum that had leaked out of his tip as he spoke.
Seung Hyun groaned as pulled out rolling his eyes at his friend as he switched places, Ji-Yong slowly pushing into you as Seung Hyun grabbed your hair in his hand, tilting your head to face him "Just tap me if it's too much, got it, Jegi?" He asked as he slipped his cock between your lips, starting to thrust his hips, sliding his cock down your throat repeatedly as you whimpered and moaned around him, only driving to go faster. As you made eye contact with Seung Hyun you felt Ji-yong's fingers start to rub circles on your clit. As Ji-Yong held your hips tightly to help you stay up, Seung Hyun held your hair "F-Fuck, you're so fucking good at this, Damnit I'm so close" He panted, his voice deeper than it was at the club, you felt his pace falter slightly before feeling something warm start to shoot down your throat, Seung Hyun groaned loudly, holding his hips still as he came, Ji-Yong kept a tight grip on your hips as he started to reach his own orgasm. As Seung Hyun slowly pulled his cock out of your mouth he watched as you licked your lips, bringing your bottom lip between your teeth as you felt yourself getting closer to cumming around Ji-Yong. As you moaned loudly feeling Ji-yong cumming inside of you, Seung Hyun grabbed your jaw gently "aww, come on, Jegi, you can take it" He teased, his voice sending sparks through your body causing your pussy squeeze around Ji-Yong's cock tighter, you grabbed Seung Hyun's hand tightly as Ji-Yong slowly pulled out of you, throwing the used condom off to the side before turning you onto your back, kneeling down between your legs, licking a stripe up your pussy to your clit before pushing three fingers inside of you slowly. You moaned loudly, your back arching as you felt his tongue start to swirl circles around your clit. Seung Hyun squeezed your hand tightly "Eyes on me, Jegi, Don't look away or I'll make him stop" He demanded, you whimpered loudly looking up at him as you bit your lip "There she is, that feel good?" He teased, you just nodded your head quickly, moaning softly whenever he pressed his lips against yours firmly, nipping at your bottom lip, slipping his tongue inside of your mouth as your gasped, Ji-Yong curling his fingers as he swirled his tongue, causing your legs to start shaking as you came, your cum coating Ji-Yong's fingers and mouth, as he leaned up he quickly licked his lips, moving back to let Seung Hyun take his place.
You panted loudly, crying out as you felt Seung Hyun's tongue make contact with your clit before moving to push inside of you, curling to get any bit of cum that was left. Ji-Yong made his way to you, mocking your pouty face as he cupped your cheeks "You can take it, Princess, can't you?" You just moaned, your back arching again as Seung Hyun held your legs open, allowing him to gain better access to continue moving his tongue in and out of you, his fingers moving against your clit quickly, your moans just got louder until they were borderline shouts anytime you moaned, Seung Hyun pulling orgasm after orgasm from you as Ji-Yong left hickeys everywhere on your neck and chest teasing you while he did so "You look so cute when he's eating your pussy, princess" "Seung Hyun, I think she really liked that, her cute little face just did the thing" "Aww what is it too much, princess? You know what to do" He repeated, along with mocking your moans causing your face to feel as if it was on fire the entire time Seung Hyun pulled yet another orgasm from you, licking any cum that made it past his lips he leaned up smirking at you "Good girl" He whispered before pressing his lips to yours, kissing you deeply before pulling away. You looked at them both panting, desperate to catch your breath as they both smirked at you "I'll help you in the shower" Seung Hyun offered, Ji-Yong huffing in protest "I'll help her in the shower, you go get water" He offered, Seung Hyun just rolled his eyes "How about you go get water bottles, and then we both help?" He asked like it was obvious, his friend nodding quickly before rushing to your kitchen. Seung Hyun helped you to your feet, holding onto you tightly as you lead him to your bathroom, explaining how to use the shower.
After that night, both men couldn't seem to get you out of their head, often finding each other in the other's room talking about you or the way you did certain things, finally one night Ji-Yong had finally had enough, making his way to Seung Hyun's room before sighing "we need to find her again" He demanded, smiling as his friend agreed with him, not yet thinking how it'd work.

three's a crowd
pairing: choi seung-hyun x reader x kwon ji-yong word count: 3022 tags: stuck in a small space, forced proximity, almost-kiss summary: After you go out to grab a battery pack from a closet, Ji-yong and Seung-hyun join to "help you find it"
( ao3 )
When you first went looking for cleaning supplies, you hadn't meant to be gone long. As soon as you ducked into the hallway, to your surprise- Ji-yong had followed after you to help you look. Of course you allowed him to tag along, sparing a glance his way as you tugged open the too-heavy closet door, stepping inside and sighing as you take in the mess that was the inside.
The shelves were strewn with random supplies, lightbulbs without boxes and even cleaning supplies. The dim lighting didn't aid your search at all, random boxes and cables poking out of every nook and cranny. No one- either the band or management could ever manage to put things back to where they belonged. Somewhere in the junk pile there would be an extra microphone pack— if only you could find it.
“You’re sure it's here? We can wait for one to charge,” Behind you, Ji-yong’s leans across the doorframe lazily to watch you, watching with a small smirk visible even in the low lighting.
You shake your head, bewildered as you start to rummage through shelves, “It should be..” you mutter, brushing past rolls of tape and a dusty old-looking box.
Just as you started to think you might've been stuck looking forever, behind you Ji-yong let out a long sigh and joined in behind you. The squeeze was awkward, yet manageable– barely. Instead of helping, Ji-yong peered over your shoulder. As if that would somehow speed up this process.
You can't help but shoot him a look, “Are you going to help, or just stand there?”
Ji-yong managed an innocent shrug. You didn’t need to see him to know he was holding back a smirk. The shelves held nothing helpful, at all. You stand forward all the way to your tip-toes, still managing to find everything except for a battery pack. Ji-yong, unhelpful as ever, reached out to steady you. His arm wrapped around yours, his fingers squeezing you just slightly.
Footsteps echoed down the hall, light filtering into the closet as the door opened further. You turned back to see Seung-hyun, still holding the door open with a curious expression.
“You two aren't seriously looking for it, are you?” He asks, his voice laced with amusement.
“We are looking,” Ji-yong huffed, “It's just not in here.”
At that, Seung-hyun raised an eyebrow, “Better let me check.”
Before you have a chance to protest, he stepped in beside the two of you. His broad frame forced Ji-yong to shuffle out of the way beside you. Just as Seung-hyun haf managed himself in front of you, you're caught off guard as your elbow bumped into the closet door.
The small room was quickly enveloped by darkness with a small, quiet click from the closet door.
Not one to panic immediately, you test the handle.
Nothing.
Beside you, Ji-yong wiggles it as well.
Still nothing.
“You’ve got to be kidding me,” You groan, letting your head fall forward into Seung-hyun’s chest.
In front of you, the man snickers, “Well. Looks like we may as well get comfy.”
Behind you, Ji-yong’s hands are trying to do their best but be anywhere on you. Caught between keeping balance and not touching anything. He's grabbing onto the shelf behind him, but you can still feel the unmistakable presence of his body heat, and this close- you could smell both of their colognes mixing together. It made a deep, oceanic smell along with the hint of some sort of spice. You swallowed hard. You weren't freaking out- you wouldn't be stuck in this closet for much longer, you couldn't be. Right?
You finally pull your head away from Seung-hyun’s chest and look up to him, struggling to see from the poor light of the closet. In front of you, he's still managing a smug grin in your direction. Every part of you is stuck in some part of a metal shelf, or touching their bodies. This closet wasn't meant for two, and certainly not accommodating for three of you.
“This is your fault,” The man from behind you pouts- or you can only assume he had, from the whiny inflection.
At that, you push yourself backward into the shelf and press him up against it, “Stop it!”
Seung-hyun sighs and jiggles the doorknob as well, just to make sure their fate was really sealed, “There’s no point in arguing over it now. We should stay calm, and figure a way out of here.”
“What kind of person locks a supply closet…” You mutter to yourself, looking over the shelves again with a renewed vigor.
Ji-yong,scoffed. “Obviously, someone who doesn’t want us snooping around. Or maybe,” he added, shifting slightly, “someone with a cruel sense of humor.”
This time, you weren't sure what you were hoping to find. If it was locked from the outside, a key would do you no good at all. You needed some sort of distraction from the fate that was your new life.
Whatever secret answer you searched for, your fingers brushed up against something plastic and cold. Irony hit you as you wrapped your hand around a discarded landline phone. Who even uses those anymore?
As you shift, you can't help but to realize your arm is brushed right up against the chest of the man in front of you. You aren't sure if it was worse he had gone silent, merely leaning in closer to you. He tilted his head, moving his nose into the side of your neck.
“I think I can smell your perfume,” Seung-hyun interrupts the moment, sniffing the air, “It’s nice.”
The tone he spoke with was almost casual. He deliberately dropped his voice down lower, teasing as the edge of his lip rose up into a knowing smirk. He’s aware of the affect he has on you and enjoyed the reaction he got out of it. You pause, daring to glance over to him.
His gaze manages to look eager, and hungry. Even as you challenge him with eye contact, he doesn’t back down yet. Instead, he dips his head down toward your shoulder. He still lingered nearby, just enough that you could feel his warm breath ghosting over your skin, goosebumps rising over your arms.
Stuck somewhere between exasperated and flustered, Ji-yong saves you the embarrassment of coming up with a way to respond.
“Are you serious right now?”
The sharpness to his tone isn’t enough to tell off the man in front of you– in fact, it only makes his approach that much worse. He leans in just a fraction more. His presence is overwhelming, glancing toward you to test your reaction. Your fingers twitch at your sides, itching to push him away- or maybe pull him in closer? You shift back slightly, forgetting your current state. It only pushes you up against Ji-yong behind you, closer than before. You could feel heat building up on the back of your neck, over the sides of your face.
“What? It's a nice scent,” Seung-hyun interrupts your thoughts, “It's a compliment. Since we’re stuck, we should try to get along here.”
Ji-yong, not one to be outdone, exhaled heavily, causing a strand of your hair to shift. “This is torture,” he grumbled, though weren’t sure if he meant the lack of space itself or the proximity instead.
“I think,” You started, trying to keep your voice steady, “we should just stay still.”
“Easier said than done,” Ji-yong murmured, voice lower than before.
Seung-hyun hummed in agreement but then, because he couldn’t resist, whispered near your ear, “If we weren’t in this closet, what would you be doing right now?”
You swallowed hard. “I’d have a battery pack, and I’d be giving it to you.”
You can feel the rise and fall of the man’s chest from behind you. He’s clearly irritated by the act that he’s put on. Ji-yong put his whole body into pushing against the door and pressing on the handle. It gives metallic clatter, the whole door shaking with the force he’s able to put behind it. The closet remains stubbornly shut, sealing the three of you in a dusty old closed with mingled body heat, the air thick with the scent of cologne and cleaning supplies.
“This can't be happening!” He exclaims, finally slamming his fist against the door.
Seung-hyun crossed his arms- as much as he could and wedged himself against the shelf behind him with a click of his tongue, “You know, we could be stuck here for a while.”
Ji-yong tenses behind you, “Don’t say that,” He snapped, his tone still toeing the line between irritation and fear.
“I’m only saying. I don’t think anyone else noticed us sneaking into here, right?” He shrugged, innocent.
The realization of it starts to dawn on you in the moment. He was right. You were only lucky enough that Ji-yong followed you, and Seung-hyun only managed to find you incidentally. No managers or even other band members were aware that the three of you were missing. Even if they did? It would be a long time before they would think to check the closet.
Suddenly determined to get closet to the door, you shift again despite the noise of protest Ji-yong makes behind you.
“Hey,” He mumbled, his chin pressed up against your shoulder yet again, “You’re squishing me.”
You can feel the heat of his breath creep up your neck, “It’s not like I have anywhere else to go…”
Despite yourself, you attempt to fix the angle. Your arm is pinched between a shelf, and just as youre able to slip it against your side, Ji-yong lets out an exaggerated groan behind you. It was the kind of noise to make you turn pink, ducking your head down.
“I would say you two should get a room, but…” Seung-hyun trailed off, “Should I turn around?”
“You can’t even move,” Ji-yong argues.
“Exactly.”
There’s a beat of silence, yet again. The warm air was starting to become stiff, and you had to squeeze your arm to tug at the collar away from your shirt. It had only been a few minutes and you were already beginning to get uncomfortable. You finally brace yourself, making just enough room to knock against the door.
It doesn't make much of a sound, and you knock on the door curiously. The wood sounds almost hollow. Tilting your head, shifting out of Seung-hyun’s chest, you knock again- harder. You can feel the grain of the wood against your knuckles, and hear the vibration of it through your arm. On a second try, you're sure you can make it work.
The only problem, you had absolutely no room to slam the door hard enough. If the three of you worked together, then…
“We should break down the door,” You suggest, looking at Seung-hyun seriously.
Behind you, Ji-yong gives you an offended gasp, “This is a Chanel jacket. We can't get reckless.”
Beneath you, your knees start to buckle. You realize, as the seconds turn into minutes- there's nowhere to rest. You can't sit back, stuck standing like a sardine in a can with the band members. In your dream you might've hoped to be stuck between the two of them, but as you lived it, it was quickly turning into your own personal nightmare.
“Why don't we just call for help?” Seung-hyun finally asks, taking a deep breath, and then, “Help!”
You reach up and plug your ears, just as the two men from either side of you start to call out from the closet. They're loud enough you can still hear them calling even as you plug your ears. Behind you, you can feel the secure press of Ji-yong’s body and in front, Seung-hyun. The realization of the situation finally starts to sink in, a pink rising to your chest.
You were stuck between the two of them, and your face was inches away from Seung-hyun. You were lucky when you looked toward the door, but the second you looked back? When he looked down at you and tilted his head, you couldn't help but let your mind wander. Finally, the sound of both of them stopped.
“I left my phone out of here,” You admit quietly.
Both of them give a noise of murmured agreement. Behind you, you can feel Ji-yong shift to lean into the shelf in an attempt to get comfortable. As long as the three of you were stuck here, you could attempt to find some spot that would work. The man in front of you attempted to do the same, all shuffling of body parts and heat that only made the moment worse.
Between your legs, a thigh curled itself onto your inner thighs. You aren't even sure whose it is, the tangled mess you're in now. The pink rose to your cheeks felt burning hot, and you were grateful for the terrible lighting the room offered. You force yourself to adjust, attempting to shift your legs to make room- and the thigh pushes forward, forcing you right into Seung-hyun.
Above you, Seung-hyun grabs onto the side of your face and guides you out of hiding into his chest, “Ah, are you falling asleep?”
Your face is burning. You want to snap back, but the two of you are impossibly close. The man above you is smirking down at you, until he's leaned forward just a little more. You tilt your head to the side, almost a silent challenge. As a self defense mechanism- if you push forward, you could fluster him out of it.
His smirk falters for half a second, his eyes flicker to your lips, “You’re staring.”
“I’m not staring,” you try, your voice coming out weak and unsure.
You could almost swear he starts to tilt his head as well, his breath grazes your lips–
“What are you two doing?” Ji-yong demands from behind both of you, shifting his leg again.
It's then you realize the thigh that started this was none other than Ji-yong’s own, curling around your leg and hooking around yours to pull you into his space instead. You feel the solid press of his chest against your back yet again, his body heat sinking in through your clothes. The change in position has you trapped in an entirely new way, held on close instead of squished between them.
At first Seung-hyun blinks in surprise before glancing down and back up at you- no, just behind you, “Oh?”
“Let’s just get out of here, okay?” Ji-yong’s tone is gentle and uncertain as his arm hooks into the crook of your elbow, holding you.
As you tried to gather your thoughts, Seung-hyun smiled, “Next time, let’s get locked somewhere with more space. Or at least somewhere with a bed.”
“Knock it off,” He warned with a short huff.
The teasing isn’t enough to make Ji-yong back off just yet. His breath brushes the back of your neck, and for a second, you wonder if it’s intentional–the way he’s settled against you, the way his fingers flex against the fabric of your clothing and gently squeeze your arm. If you didn’t know any better, you might’ve thought he was jealous. Before you have time to consider it, there’s just a moment where you could’ve sworn you heard–
In a flash, there’s a tumble rush of air, a sudden loss of support. Gravity winds, and it quickly becomes a pile of limbs. Your body lurched forward, knocking straight into someone. In a desperate attempt to steady yourself you grip blindly at the nearest person, pulling them down into the chaotic mess. The floor meets you with a dull thud.
Instead of saving yourself from the fall, you’ve taken the full force of it. Your eyes snap upon from the force of it, the breath knocked from your lungs. Everything is a blur of motion and warmth, startled noises overlapping. As it all starts moving, you finally work up the confidence to open your eyes.
Above you, Ji-yong hovered inches above you, a far away surprised look stuck on his face. His hands are planted on either side of your head, and his eyes flick from your face to the position the two of you have somehow landed in. Somehow, in the chaos, he’s ended up entirely beneath your legs and nearly pinning you to the ground below.
With a sharp inhale, his face turns a bright red, “I'm sorry!”
He scrambled so quickly, he had nearly tripped himself in the process. He pushes himself to roll away, hooking his hands up in surrender before knocking into his fellow band mate. Seung-hyun has somehow managed not to only survive the avalanche, but stand up after all of it and to watch with an insufferable smirk.
“Well, that was fun to watch,” He instigated, tilting his head.
Ji-yong scoffed, “It- that wasn't! You-”
“Let me help you,” Seung-hyun interrupts, ignoring the man beside him to instead offer a hand to help you up.
Your legs still feel weak from the sheer absurdity of it all. You nod sheepishly, ducking your head as you take his hand thankfully. You tug on his arm and he pulls you up at the same time, finally standing up again. As you make your own footing, you turn to see Ji-yong has stood up as well, running his hand through his hair.
“You're good?” You can't help but tease, amused.
Ji-yong has entirely turned his back to you, “I'm fine.”
Beside you, Seung-hyun chuckles and joins by his side, “You sure? You look like a tomato.”
“Shush!” He swats beside him, but he's unable to help a sort of giddy laughter at his joke.
You can't help but laugh with them, shaking your head as you dust your clothes off from whatever was inside that old closet.
As they walk ahead they stop to look back and motion for you to join them after Ji-yong’s blush had finally gone down. Battery pack forgotten, you’re much too happy to be out of the closet and speed up to join them, away from that cursed closet.

Double, Double, Combo - Choi Seung Hyun/T.O.P x reader + Twin! Kwon Ji Yong 1/?
Summary: The Kwon twins were powerful together, you and your slightly older twin brother Ji-Yong were like two halves of a whole, and everybody knew it. So what happens whenever your two K-pop groups combine tours together? Especially whenever your brother calls you out for a very noticeable crush.
Warnings: Mentions of a slight panic attack, reader getting injured, other than that, none lovelies <333
Translations:
Jagiya: Honey, Sweetie, Love, Darling (For this fic, we're going with darling)
Umma: Mother/Mom
Oppa: Older brother
Yeo-Dongsaeng: Younger sister
If I got any translations wrong please let me know!! As I am very rusty with speaking Korean, but I am learning! <33
The Kwon twins were something big that hit the K-pop industry in the early 2000s, Ji-Yong and Y/n taking over the industry by storm as soon as they were able to, you both had your own groups, your twin brother having his group, BigBang, while you had yours. Both groups being made up of four members, almost identical to each other, the only difference? Even down to both of you catering more towards females.
Ever since birth, You and Ji-Yong were close, always side by side, doing everything together, your brother even taking the initiative to help you with anything you needed for your career or group. You walked into the agency building, excitedly making your way towards your brother's dorm, excited to tell him your big news, busting into the room, you smiled at all four boys. "Did YG call you yet?" You smiled, making your way over to plop on the couch, leaning against your brother gently "No? Why? What'd we do?" Your brother asked nervously, relaxing whenever he saw your excited demeanor "Well...As of today! BigBang is officially combining their tour with ours!" You squealed excitedly "They figured if there was eight of us contributing to the concert, it'd be amazing! A-And YG said something could be added for our five year since debut!" You gasped, leaning forward in his face, watching as he smiled and giggled at your reaction "That's amazing!! We can actually hang out again!" Ji-Yong cheered excitedly, hugging you tightly as he looked towards the boys.
The first few nights of rehearsal were easy, everybody was excited to get back into working and preforming, but as the start date got closer, everybody was getting stressed out. As you stood on stage trying to run through your choreography, you heard your brother in the microphone again "No, Y/n, Aein-" He was cut off by your choreographer, she was nice, for the most part, but that's why you loved her, she wouldn't be shy about letting you know if something was wrong. "Y/n. How many more times do we have to stop you before you get it right? It's midnight, we've been on the same section of the same song for the last hour, what the hell is going on?" She snapped, normally, you could handle her harshness, usually it fuels you even more to make your shows perfect, but between your exhaustion, the combined stress of everybody that was working, and your growing frustration on this one move, you couldn't handle it tonight. As she continued to lecture you, you dropped down to a kneel, pinching the bridge of your nose in your hand as you tried your best not to cry. "Okay just stop! I-I can't do this! I can't! I fucking quit!" You shouted, storming off of the stage, trying to hold back your sobs until after you got the microphoned that was taped to your cheek, off.
Sitting in your dressing room, you tried your best to fix your make-up, you hated having meltdowns like that, especially in front of people, but sometimes your anxiety would just build and build until eventually, you'd meltdown, and everything would be okay again. You had always hated it about yourself, especially whenever people would refer to you as 'a ticking time bomb' like it was just a matter of time before you'd blow up. "Yeo-Dongsaeng" Ji-Yong whispered, opening the door to your dressing room slowly, his heart breaking whenever he saw you desperately trying to fix the ruined makeup that was smeared down your cheeks. "I-I..." You couldn't speak, not even knowing what you'd say if you could, your twin just walked over with a soft smile, pulling a chair up next to you. "You're okay, I know, honey" He whispered softly, grabbing one of your makeup wipes to start clearing off your face. "Seung Hyun is worried..you know, if you want to hide a relationship, he needs to stop worrying so much" Ji-Yong muttered quietly as he gently wiped the make-up off of your face, not missing the soft smile that made it's way onto your face. "Seung Hyun and I are not dating, we're just..really good best friends" You replied shyly, getting a bitch face from your brother "Okay, we've been around each other for almost 24 years now? So do you want to lie to yourself and me again?" He teasingly asked, chuckling softly as you nudged his shoulder gently, a blush covering your cheeks as he grabbed your make-up bag "What're you doing?" You asked, watching as he dug through it before finding the make-up you'd need "Helping my yeo-dongsaeng, because she needs her oppa" He smiled softly, you just sighed shaking your head "By a minute, Ji-Yong, sixty seconds" You reminded, he just laughed loudly shaking his head "Still older!" He protested, before grabbing your face gently as he helped with your eye make-up "There, perfect, Oppa Ji-Yong to the rescue!" He smiled, playfully standing up to do a spin "Thank you..Ji..for everything" You whispered, standing up to hug him tightly, you appreciated him more than words could describe. "Anyways! Seung Hyun?" He teased, changing the subject "Do you like him back?" He asked, watching as you covered your face quickly to hide your blush "No! I don't!" You protested, groaning as he just squealed pointing at your blush "You like him back! Yesss! You like Seung Hyun!~" He cheered, rushing down the hallway "Ji! Stop! Please don't!" You whined, chasing after him, never realizing that Ji-Yong's plan of getting you back out to rehearsals and in a better mood had worked.
You'd finish rehearsals without anymore hiccups, quickly being rushed off to the airport for the eight of you to fly to America for your US shows. Whenever you would do your final rehearsal before your show, the communication would be horrible, leading to your rehearsal with the girls to be right as they were testing the boys' stage lift. As you were ending your last song, you went to make your way to your mark, stepping into the giant 6-foot drop, where the stage lift was lowered, the only thing catching you from completely falling was your torso slamming against the stage, and your foot catching the metal framing underneath the stage. As the boys watched from their spots, they were quick to move, Ji-Yong making it to you before anybody else, even staff. As he helped you out and back on your feet, you winced, holding onto his arms tightly "No, No don't let go please" You begged, taking your weight off of your foot, holding onto his arm with one hand while holding your ribs with the other. Ji-Yong just wrapped his arms around you, glancing around panicked for the medic they had traveling with them for smaller things, while Ji-Yong always took care of you, and was slightly taller than you, he still couldn't carry you confidentially, not without you freaking out and thrashing around in his arm afraid to fall. "Hyung? Can you?" Ji-Yong asked nervously as he turned to Seung Hyun who stood next you both "Yea, yea, I'll get her backstage with the medic, Ji, I got this" He assured, going to wrap your arm around his shoulders, stopping whenever you whimpered in pain "Ok, Ok, we don't have to do that" He reassured, carefully moving his arms around you to pick you up, carrying you effortlessly backstage, your brother going to find whoever the hell lowered the lift while your rehearsals were running.
Sitting in your dressing room, you tried your best to stop crying, holding your shirt up gently so Seung Hyun could hold the ice pack to your side while you balanced one on your foot "Y/n, Jagiya, please take a breath" He pleaded, resting a hand on your cheek gently as he wiped the tears that fell "I-I feel so terrible!" You cried, hugging him tightly as he rubbed your back "I know, but Ji is going to explain, and doctors said you'll be better than ever for next show" Seung Hyun explained, trying to boost your spirits the slightest "Ji is coming back during our singles, and BigBang's show break, so he's going to come see you" He offered, you seemed to calm down slightly at that, knowing your brother would be brutally honest about how your absence affected the show. Seung Hyun would hold you close as you sniffled softly "Thank you..Seung Hyun, you're always so kind to me" You whispered, hugging him tighter before pulling away, trying your best to hide your blush as you heard the muffled voice from his earpiece calling him to the stage.
"I'll see you later okay? Ji and the others will come check on you whenever they can" He smiled, kissing the top of your head before rushing to stage, leaving you alone for awhile.
You were just about to fall asleep finally, whenever your door burst open, your brother having an evil smirk "So! We got an idea, and YG said we have to have your permission too, but we can do your set for you? If you want?" he offered, laughing loudly at your confused expression "W-Why would you do that?" You asked, sitting up to try and wake yourself up a little more "Well, Seung Hyun said something about you being really upset about working so hard just for the fans at this show not to see, so?..Can we? We look alike, and practically sound alike other than your high notes and my low notes" Ji-Yong pleaded, rushing over to sit next to you on the sofa, you just giggled looking at your brother "If you really want to, and you and the promise to take it seriously" You sighed, watching him jump up excitedly, cheering for a moment before sitting back down next to you. "How are you feeling, Honey?" Ji-Yong asked softly, checking your ankle and ribs, wincing whenever he saw the nasty bruise that was forming right at the bottom of your ribcage. "It hurts to breathe, or move, so laying down is hard" You sighed, trying to reposition yourself as you winced "Well hold on, I'll help" He laughed shaking his head "Umma gave you some of her beauty, none of her brains" he teased as he helped you lay down on the dressing room couch, you just swatted at his arm, glaring at him. "Careful or I'll call Umma and tell her you're being mean to her baby who's hurt- That you! Watched get hurt!" You giggled, watching as he whined softly "Don't be a tattletale, Y/n" He huffed, crossing his arms like he was a child again "Fine! Fine!" You laughed loudly, moving your head to rest it against his legs "Don't worry, you'll be back on stage before you know it, getting to dance with Seung Hyun again!" He teased playfully, giggling as your cheeks lit up again with a bright blush "Shut up!" You giggled, turning your head to look at him "Help me to stage? so I can at least watch you guys do my set" You asked softly, watching as he sighed smiling helping you to your feet "Okay, you know we're almost the same size, so this is going to be hard, okay?" He laughed, holding onto you tightly as you took a shaky step forward, you nodded giggling as your twin tried his very best to get you to stage, coming out successful as he helped you sit down off to the side, near V.I.P, per your request, if you couldn't perform for your fans, you could at least sit with them, while watching your brother, your crush, and their friends perform your setlist of songs.
--
You like? I plan on part two picking up right where part one left off, just because the boys doing girl group performances are always one of my favorites! <33 Lmk what you think lovelies! As always please let me know what you think, and I'm excited to hear from you! lovelies!! <333

squid game characters' s3 fate
90% they'll die:
daeho - unfortunately, i think he will die, he has tragedy written all over him, especially since he probably will believe he "failed" his team for not delivering the magazines to them and blaming himself for jungbae's death.
minsu - will probably die defending someone, to parallel how he didn't defend semi.
namgyu - i dont think i need to explain.
myunggi - either he or junhee will live; he is much more likely than her to die tho.
yongsik - either he or geumja will live; after the mingle game, i think he will sacrifice himself for his mama.
gyeongseok - if he's not dead already. if he's still alive, i think they will have him bond with noeul and hyunju, maybe hinting at a romance with hyunju before he dies and noeul will promise to take care of nayeon.
most of junho's team, including wooseok and captain park and kim (the leader of the mercenaries).
not sure:
junhee - either her or myunggi will live; i was sure it was her but then seonnyeo (the shaman lady) freaked me out during the mingle game and made me wonder if she'll die. her baby def won't die tho.
geumja - either her or yongsik will live; since she said that she wouldnt have a life if he died, i'm betting she lives just to make everyone suffer more.
inho - i think he'll sacrifice himself to end the games and kind of earn gihun's forgiveness. if he dies, it will be in gihun's arms tho.
junho - he's the character im most divided over. he will def forgive inho for shooting him and such, and inho will show him how he loves him, perhaps saving him from death, or junho will die protecting inho and dying in his older brother's arms (a nice callback to sangwoo and gihun in s1).
90% they'll live:
gihun - he's gonna suffer more than jesus, but he won't die (he'll just wish he had); also, i need him to reunite with gayeong. he'll probably end up taking care of junhee's baby if she and her terrible ex both die-
noeul - i really want her to get her baby back but i wonder if it's even possible at this point; maybe she will end up taking care of nayeon when gyeongseok dies.
hyunju - i really dont believe she will die, i think we will see her move to thailand to fully begin her life.

Squid Game season 3
Okay now that the squid game has ended. Let’s talk about it for a second. Just a heads up, this will have spoilers for season 3 of squid game. Watch this after you have finished all of the episodes.
Now I have seen a lot of mixed reactions from people but most people were not happy that a baby won the game and everybody died. I can tell how this could be disappointing but it's actually a very good ending for multiple reasons. Before I talk about that, I want to talk about some of the characters one by one.
Let’s start with Dae-ho, a lot of people think that his character was butchered and his death was lazy and out of character. Sadly i have to kind of agree on this but i want to focus more on the way he died as kind of a base. Dae-ho died in the hands of Gi-hun whom he was friends with in the last season.
Now there are two points in this entire argument and that is some people defend Gi-hun saying Dae-ho was taunting, blaming Gi-hun when he himself didn’t bring the ammos during the attack. Some people also say that Gi-hun is the one to blame for the attack and the death of all those people and Dae-ho can’t be blamed for getting scared like any person.
Now both sides are right, that's why this is a very tricky situation. We could have ended this argument saying both were right for whatever they did. But that’s where Dae-ho’s confession comes into place. Because Dae-ho confesses to Gi-hun that he was never actually part of the marines, he has never held a gun and he did all that to stay close to them.
Okay what the fuck though?? Where is this random ass confession coming from? Why did his personality become flat in about three seconds??? Was this an attempt to justify his death because it doesn’t work at all???
Anyway I actually can understand why he would do this but it would be very far-fetched so I have a personal headcanon. Dae-ho WAS part of the marines. Because his father wanted him to be more manly. And he has ptsd because of that. That’s why he flinched at Gi-hun’s screams and the gunshots. He has ptsd that he is not willing to accept. He feels weak and useless because of that. He feels guilty that he didn’t bring the ammos. That’s why he blames Gi-hun, the same way Gi-hun blames him. Because they are both angry that they were not able to change anything. Both of them feel guilty for the death of all those people. And they can’t blame the creators, the vip at that moment. They just tried to start an uprising and it didn’t work. The system they live in is unreachable. So they start blaming each other.
I think Dae-ho felt so guilty that he tried to deny the fact that he could ever do anything about what happened. So he blamed Gi-hun. He was trying to deny what happened. He was trying to excuse himself. That’s why he said that to Gi-hun hoping he would be spared.
And Gi-hun’s anger was more so directed. Because Gi-hun originally didn’t know that Dae-ho was supposed to bring the ammos. That’s what they told him after everything. Hyun-ju, Geum-ja and Yong-sik blamed Dae-ho and they told him the story. If Gi-hun saw everything happen himself he would have hesitated maybe.
But it was also interesting that Gi-hun didn’t hesitate to kill Dae-ho at all when he couldn’t even kill the frontman. I am also going to say it was due to poor writing for this part but if we wanted to excuse this again canonically we could say that Gi-hun had lost it at that point but besides that I don't have any other ideas. Maybe something broke inside him that second and he realised he couldn’t save everyone and some had to die in exchange for other lives. That murder was Gi-hun’s desperate act of selfishness, he was going to kill Dae-ho to avenge, to survive and to make sure nothing like this ever happens again.
Like I said I don't know and I personally believe that Dae-ho’s death was supposed to be deeper and more complex but they had to cut it to have time for other things. I am probably very biased on this topic because i really love Gi-hun as a character and as much as i love Dae-ho and cried rivers because of his death but Gi-hun has a special place in my heart. I am also biased because I truly believe Hwang Dong-Hyuk is a motherfucking genius and Ii like his writing a lot so I'll keep on excusing him lol.
Okay enough about that, let's talk about Geum-ja. This was basically history repeating itself but we cared about it more this time because we knew the characters more. Do y’all remember in the first season a guy had to kill his wife during the marble game and he committed suicide right afterwards. Let me tell you something: if that guy’s wife had killed her husband, she probably would have killed herself too.
It was the same thing with Yong-sik and Geum-ja. Geum-ja didn’t kill his son because she cared about Junhee and her baby more. She killed her son unwillingly. She was desperate trying to save someone’s life and she would have sacrificed herself if it meant that her son, the girl and the baby were going to survive. And she tried to do that. But her son Yong-sik wouldn’t have been able to live without her. So the baby and the mother seemed to be the best option. Saving his mother. When Yong-sik approached Jun-hee and the baby. Geum-ja panicked. She was scared, Yong-sik’s death wasn’t intentional. If it was she wouldn’t have killed herself afterwards. Both Yong-sik and Geum-ja wouldn’have been able to live without each other. That’s why their death was incredibly tragic.
Geum-ja wanted the games to stop, not because she wanted to live as she says that herself. She wanted to save someone’s life in exchange for her son’s. When Geum-ja was begging everyone to vote to stop the games and when she talked with Gi-hun to make him promise to take care of Junhee and the baby, she was already dead. She just stopped breathing when she commited suicide. She wanted the baby and the mother to live but she wouldn’t be able to guarantee that, so she made Gi-hun promise. She believed Gi-hun from the start and she asked him to try again because she knew he would do it somehow. And Gi-hun did keep his promise. To both Geum-ja and Junhee.
Now let’s talk a bit about Myung-gi. First of all I don't like, I never liked him. From the start of season 2. I hated him but everyone kept insisting that the guy was trying so I kind of kept it to myself. I actually hate how I was right about him being selfish. I would have preferred him actually trying but his case was that he cared about Junhee but not the baby. While he and Gi-hun were talking on the bridge in the last game. He thought Gi-hun and Junhee had a romantic relationship, he was mad because of that. He cared about Junhee in favor of his own interest. That's why Junhee didn’t want to do anything with him. And him not wanting to carry her in the jump rope game said many things. He cared about himself more either way.
When Junhee died, he was sad of course, he was heartbroken because the man is selfish not heartless. They are two different things. Myung-gi left when he learned she was pregnant because he didn’t want the baby, he wanted Junhee and she didn’t want a man who wasn’t going to care about her baby. That’s why in the end, she didn’t beg Gi-hun to come get her. Because Gi-hun was going to care for her baby and if Gi-hun didn’t make it, the baby wasn’t going to make it. Myung-gi and Junhee were opposite about that part. Junhee was selfless and Myung-gi was selfish.
While i wrote this i tried to find many ways to excuse Myung-gi but i could only find one reason maybe. That was the fact that Myung-gi would forever be taunted by the baby’s death if he ended up killing her. He would have cried maybe, he would have gone crazy. Because like I said he isn't heartless. That’s why he couldn’t simply drop the baby. He hesitated and staggered. I believe he would have been able to do it but he would have never been the same again.
That’s why the baby survived. I actually doubt that anyone would have been able to kill the baby that easily. Because the baby wasn’t asked to be born into this. She was completely helpless in a way that made everyone stop in their tracks.
And that brings me to what the entire season actually implied. The surviving baby was the symbol of the new generation of this cruel system. Some kind of hope that was being protected. And the hope lived. Squid game is about our capitalist, money hungry society who’s selfishness robs us of our humanity. Or does it? What actually is humanity? That’s why Gi-hun’s last words were “Humans are…” because humans are everything. Both good and bad. They don’t simply live on instincts like horses. They don’t only run just because they can. Sometimes they run to escape, sometimes they run to fight, sometimes they run to save.
Two tiktok users actually explained this perfectly
@tigersemi:
Perfect conclusion.. He proved the Frontman's cynical philosophy of humans being inherently selfish wrong and showed that good in humanity can still exist even in the more dire of circumstances like the hellhole of Squid Game. But that's not all, Gihun's last words, "We are not horses, we are humans. Humans are..." It wasn't finished and that's intentional. Horses are instinctive creatures that are used in wars and gambles, they run because they must. Squid Game is a game of chance and death. But are we purely instinctive creatures? No, but then what are we? It's to show that even though he showed good can still exist, we must not forget all the atrocities that mankind has committed which was shown throughout all of the series. Humans aren't collectively defined as good or bad, we just are. It can also be seen as a question left to be answered. What are humans? Some people will say "humanity still exists in some people", but what does that humanity even refer to? The people who created and run the games were human, the people who participated and killed were human. We use this term in light of compassion and kindness, but are all the atrocities not part of human nature too? It almost seemed like not even Gihun himself had an answer. He has seen all of it on that island. The greed, the cowardice, the lies, the sadism, but also, the kind, the compassionate, and the selfless. Humans can take on any form, and 'humanity' is ultimately an arbitrary term. This is not even all there is to it btw I literally just typed this on a whim and could definitely go deeper
(Can y’all this comment inspired me speech wise? I kind of thought of this last night before drifting to sleep but no way in hell I could have explained it this perfectly.)
One commenter also said;
@☕⛓Daddy Wriothesley⛓☕:
I loved this season:
Gi-hun's final act wasn't just a rejection of the game. It was a rejection of the philosophy that created it. The Front Man believed humans are inherently selfish, driven by survival and greed, no better than horses forced to run for others’ amusement. But Gi-hun proved that wrong by doing the one thing no one else could refusing to play, even if it meant dying. His choice wasn’t strategic. It wasn’t for reward. It was to preserve something bigger than himself, something like compassion, dignity, and choice. His last words, "We are not horses. We are humans. Humans are..." The silence afterward says everything. It’s not unfinished by accident. It’s a question, a challenge, maybe even a warning. How do you define human after everything we’ve seen? The games showed us the worst. Betrayal. Cruelty. Cowardice. But they also showed us sacrifice, love, and resistance. So what are humans? Are we good? Evil? Selfish? Kind? Maybe we’re all of it at once. Gi-hun’s story doesn’t give us a clean answer. It forces you to ask what being human even means. Is humanity just compassion? If so, what about the people who created the games? They were human too. The word humanity starts to lose meaning when you realize the same species capable of kindness is also capable of horror. In the end, Gi-hun didn’t try to fix humanity. He just chose to be the kind of human he believed should exist. Not perfect. Not heroic. Just human. And maybe that’s the only answer there is.
(They talk about similar things but both are a good explanation, kudos to them also!)
Now I want to add to this a little. Gi-hun died a hero. Maybe he didn’t live as one to all but he did die as one. Gi-hun made many mistakes during his life. He sacrificed, he killed, he neglected but he was inherently not a bad person. Because he always tried to do his best. And when he couldn’t he blamed himself. Like Geum-ja said, “Good people always blame themselves for things while bad people blame others.” Even when he killed Dae-ho, he continued to blame himself for everything that happened. Gi-hun never once blamed anyone else, not even Dae-ho. He could pretend he did but he didn’t. We could see that immediately after.
So who is Gi-hun? Is he a good man, or is he a bad man? Or is he just human? Like I said , Gi-hun is not a bad man, but we can’t just ignore all the bad things he did and call him a good person. He tried to be one and that’s what made him a hero.
When Gi-hun died, he sacrificed himself in exchange for something he saw that was worth more than anything. Another life, a baby, hope. All he left behind was hope.
Everyone up until that point was a representation of our society, who all died because of the system. Some of them grew corrupt. Some of them couldn’t handle it and gave up. Some of them tried to change this system. They died trying. But they tried to change and they tried to survive. When the island was destroyed the games didn’t end. It just restarted. Erasing all traces of the victims. Something that has been happening in our reality. The system destroys and restarts leaving everything behind to be forgotten. But the frontman, no In-ho, was a player like them at some point. He is human like them and couldn’t bear them to be forgotten. That’s why he brought Gi-hun’s uniform to his daughter. So some part of him will stay. In-ho cared about Gi-hun. He was amazed by how despite everything he “didn’t lose his humanity”. In-ho loved and idolised Gi-hun in some way. That’s why he brought the box to Gi-hun’s daughter himself.
And the ending? Don’t be scared it doesn’t mean they will make an American version of the series. It shows how these games and this system is not just a South Korea situation. No, it’s global, it’s happening everywhere around the world. And it will continue to do so. Because the games haven’t ended yet.
That’s why we see what happens after Gi-hun dies. We see how someone who has spent so long to stop the games couldn’t succeed. That’s just how it is sometimes. Jun-ho was gonna fail from the start but he still tried. And Gyeong-seok (player 246) lived as proof that sometimes it is possible to escape the system. He went on to live a great life with his daughter. No-eul lived because she changed her and someone else’s fate.
Life will continue as normal. Maybe the next game will be held on another island. Maybe on one of the islands that Jun-ho searched. Maybe it will continue all the way in America. But it will continue.
Because humans will continue being humans. They will be selfish, selfless, brave, cowardice, strong, weak, evil or good.
Thank you for reading this incredibly dramatic read. I am incredibly emotional and this series has changed the way I look at life. So I will be biased, I will be reading too much into it and I will be saying stupid shit. Thank you to all and I'll see you maybe another time.

Kdrama Series Review: Squid Game Season 3
I just finished Squid Game Season 3—the final season—and I have a lot to get off my chest. If you haven’t watched it yet, just pause here. Go finish. Come back emotionally wrecked. We’ll talk.
Spoilers ahead, obviously.
🟢Let’s start with the good stuff:
007 & 149’s bond wrecked me: The bonding between the son and mother was so good. I cried. We knew one of them wasn’t making it, but the execution was brutal. And so well done.
Kim Jun-hee (222) giving birth: I was expecting this plotline, but her child entering the game? I didn't expect that. It actually weirdly worked. Wild choice, but I respect the boldness.
Seong Gi-hun (456) giving death glares at Kang Dae-ho (388): It was just hilarious. I loved it.
Hwang In-ho (001) was actually a pretty cool and calm-headed character: Honestly, I was way more interested in what he was doing than half the main players.
Cho Hyun-ju dying was actually so sad to watch: Something about it felt so familiar, and then I realized—it echoed Ali’s death from Season 1. The scenes were completely different, but Cho was actually a good person and a good player, just like Ali was. And if you know, you know. It wasn’t just sad—it was gut-wrenching in that familiar Squid Game way.
🔴What Didn't Work:
The games this season felt… underwhelming. After how intense Season 1 and 2 were, these challenges didn’t have the same creativity or pressure. At times, it almost felt like they ran out of ideas and just went with the same formula: climb something → fall off → die. It was like they took the mirror bridge game from Season 1 and copy-pasted it over and over.
The final game was straight-up disappointing. It wasn’t clever. It wasn’t thrilling. It was basically “stand there and push someone.” That’s not a game—that’s a middle school hallway fight. I got bored halfway through watching it.
The ending didn’t hit like it should’ve. The moment that baby entered the game, I had a sinking feeling they were about to give us a forced, “innocence wins” type of finale—and yeah, that’s what happened. No stakes. No real surprise. Just a safe, obvious choice.
The FBI/undercover storyline added nothing. It took up so much time and yet went nowhere. You could cut all of Hwang Junho’s scenes, and the plot would be exactly the same.
VIP scenes were a drag. I don’t know who told them we needed more of those slow, awkward conversations, but it wasn’t me. Every time they popped up, the pacing crashed.
And then they hit us with “the game continues…” scene, like it’s supposed to be dramatic. Bro, what do you mean it continues? 456 is dead for no actual good reason, no one's fighting the system, and the cycle just goes on? That's not an ending—that's just giving up.
🎀What I Wished We Got Instead:
The Front Man joining the game again—maybe as some twisted redemption arc—and dying to end the cycle.
Gi-hun (456) stepping up as the new Front Man and reshaping the system. Give the man a legacy.
Gi-hun (456) surviving with the baby and becoming the father he couldn’t be to his own daughter.
OR… if they were going full dark—blast the whole thing down. No survivors, no trace, no continuation. Just closure. That would’ve been cruel, but it would've made a point.
🎀Final Verdict: 🌟 3.5/5 stars
There are things this season did right—mostly the emotional beats—but it lost the tension, the cleverness, and honestly, the heart of what made Season 1 so good. It tried to go big with themes but ended up playing it safe.
🎀Watch it for:
That mother-son arc (you’ll cry)
Kim Jun-hee’s birth plot
You want to add this series in your 'Watched' list
🎀Skip it if:
You’re tired of every “game” being a variation of push-and-fall-to-your-death
You want a finale that actually feels earned, not handed out with baby tears and slow music
You’re not emotionally prepared to watch a literal baby in a death match (yes, that actually happens)
⭕️🔼⏹️💰💀 Will I rewatch season 3? No. ⭕️🔼⏹️💰💀 Am I glad I finished it? Barely. ⭕️🔼⏹️💰💀 Do I still recommend Season 1? Absolutely. That one made sense.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go rewatch Season 1 and pretend this was all a bad dream.
