YES, BECAUSE HE HAS TO TAKE CARE OF HER BABY, AS WE NOW KNOW. Maybe Jun-hee and the MG Coin guy are already dead during the jump rope game.

But it could also mean that Geum-ja, her son, and Hyung-ju really do die a gruesome death, as the shaman said after the game :(

seonnyeo's words have been lowkey haunting me since s2 dropped...

she says this after looking from junhee's baby bump, to junhee herself and then to gihun. after the line, she looks back at junhee.

i used to think it meant gihun would sacrifice himself for junhee and the baby, but i guess that theory is kinda debunked now. and i wonder if gihun can even manage to take care of a newborn when he could have taken cheol, who was an 11 year old?

i honestly dont even know if the baby will make it... we know it lives long enough to participate in the game (unless gihun is carrying junhee's baby's corpse), but there's no telling if it lives longer than that.

and that other "prophecy".... yeah.... yongsik was kind of a goner for me but i'm really wishing for junhee, hyunju and geumja to survive but things are looking rough 😭😭😭😭

also, anon, hopefully you are right and myunggi doesn't make it to the final game!!!

Guys hear me out we fuse squid games season 1 and 2 into one squid game like Ali sangwoo sae byeok the gang they're all back and the guys from season 2 are there too we got thanos Jang deok su and mi nyeo they are all here and we play the games from season 1 AND season 2 we have the voting system of season 2 we have over 2000 players this time and there's explosions and Mr Beast is there he does 2 lines of coke before every episode for good measure and the guards are like 2 ft tall

I can't lie, my heart beat a little faster at the thought of player 246 (park gyeong-seok) being in the coffin but I'm hoping it's not him 🥲

some have guessed it may be jung-bae's corpse in the coffin :(

there's a possibility that the cliffhanger won't lead to anything and that it may just be over for 246 but I'm optimistic it's not the last we'll see of him yet. otherwise it would be a complete waste of the narrative they've built and the (admittedly meagre) screen time spent on doing so.

others have speculated that 011 seemingly being outside would lead to her smuggling 246 out of there. hopefully they pull it off, but that's one thing I'm not optimistic about. I don't think all of the characters will go home safe and sound but a girl can dream. that aside, I'd love to see no-eul have more to do this following series. I understand it's a tall order to fit every character's story in the span of a half-series but no-eul and gyeong-seok were the two of the first character introductions made and it seemed like they had significant storytelling arcs but those sort of fell to the wayside as the games went on. I know that the nature of the mid-series cut affected the storytelling as a whole, but I just wanted to talk about it a little bit :)

Based on the drawings that we saw what’s left of the games (from what I’m able to make sense of) is: Jack and Jill, some sort of chess game (people online are saying it’s gonna be human chess), and finally a monkey bars game.
