random thought about hiyori, rinne, and kanata as roomies. hiyori maybe has rinne and kanata try diff perfumes and colognes from like PR packages or just as whatever he bought that day. and maybe they all have their scent because of it.

i kinda touched on this in that one soft rinne x reader fic i wrote but he has like this one cologne he gravitates towards. i specifically envisioned toy boy by moschino, but lets be real he's not using that brand specifically unless like hiyori got it for him- it clings to his clothes anyway so whatevs. he uses it like every other day but not a lot. in general, the type of cologne i imagine him using is like... spicy and woody but not overpowering. like warm peppery/nutmeggy? with some very light bergamot in there. it's def the kind of scent that makes you want to bury your face into his chest/neck when he hugs you. comforting and kinda homey

hiyori has all kinds of expensive perfumes and colognes on his vanity ngl. he's the kind of person to coordinate it to seasons/depending on the occassion. his usual daytime scent would be anything more light and like dewy bluebells. if he's going to a lunch meeting, it's green tea scents. maybe something more citrusy. night time, woody cedar/spices/light musk/overall more juicey and full bodied scent. calvin klein has lots of those types of scents. sometimes he'll layer it with cherry scents if he'll be out for a while. in general i imagine him going for brands like la labo, jo malone, tom ford, and juliette has a gun purely because of price point.

kanata doesn't go out of his way to use colognes or perfumes or even body mists. he's constantly dunking himself in water anyway so whats the point. but bc of hiyori encouraging both him and rinne to try diff scents, he'll maybe use cologne during more formal events. i cant imagine he likes anything overpowering, so he'll stick to anything light. there are colognes that are said to smell like the sea but its not the same to him. probably wears summery scents in any season. crisp apple, bamboo, and cedar scents are what he usually goes for the most.
