Slut!

Michael "Robby" Robinavitch x reader
3 times you call Robby a slut Warnings: no specific warnings, suggestive language, let me know if you want me to add something
One
One of the sluttiest things a man can do is make grilled cheese at midnight.
Sometimes you're a little bit tipsy coming home from the bar and he insists you have something to eat before you crash. Sometimes he's making himself "dinner" after a long day at work. Sometimes it's on his day off when a sandwich is all he can be bothered to make when he manages to extricate himself from you on the sofa.
Whatever the occasion, you can find him standing by the stove, his sleeves rolled up. The sound of butter sizzling in the cast iron pan, challah bread perfectly browned, cheddar melting. He makes grilled cheese with far too much focus. Dedication to a task is a habit he can't shake. Nevertheless he notices you creeping closer, his eyes cast to the side, his smile letting you know he sees you. "Thirty seconds," he tells you, never taking a moment longer before he shuts off the burner and moves the pan off the heat. "Careful," he warns handing over the plate of ooey-gooey cheesy goodness, "it's hot".
You're sitting on the kitchen island, Robby standing between your legs. His hands are warm where they rest on your thighs, his eyes soft as he watches you take the first bite after a cooling blow. The moan you let out is praise enough, but you go the step further, "I'm a slut for a good grilled cheese," you tell him taking another bite. His shock at the sudden statement is masked by his chuckle. He shakes his head silently, joking with himself about the language barriers of a relationship with an age gap. "And you're a slut for cooking like this," you punctuate the statement with a poke to his chest. "Oh, yeah?" His eyebrow raises. "Pray tell, how am I a slut?" He indulges. "Let me finish this sandwich, and I'll show you".
Two
In the morning he pulls himself out of bed before his alarm clock has a chance to wake you. He showers, brushes his teeth, and dresses himself before leaning onto the bed to kiss you goodbye. It's a chaotic flurry of smooches; cheek, shoulder, neck, the side of your mouth. He sighs before finally pulling away and heading down the hall.
More often than not the absence of his warmth beside you stirs you to wake if his kisses didn't. You rise, padding out to the living room to catch him before he heads out the door. He's pulled on his sweater, his bag is slung over on shoulder, and his travel mug is ready to go.
His hoodie, well loved, and well worn is so soft. The way he wears it zipped up only half way, just at his belly button, allows you to slip your arms inside, wrapping him up in a goodbye hug as snug and warm as your bed.
"Be safe," you tell him, your nose nuzzled into his broad chest, "love you". He hugs back, always, even when it takes him longer to accept the affection than he'd like. He doesn't leave you hanging. "I will," he promises as well as he can, pressing a kiss to the top of your head, "love you too".
You tilt your head back to look up at him. With a great deal of strength you pull your arms out of his hoodie, immediately zipping it up almost all the way. He watches confused, his hand reaching to hold yours before it lets go of the zip. He flattens your palm to his chest, waiting for you to answer question he hasn't asked. Why?
"You're such a slut wearing your sweater like that when you know I can't do anything about it," you tell him, almost huffing, "makes me want to hug you, and that makes me want to kiss you, and god damn! I could just climb you like a tree, Michael".
He smiles, making sure to kiss you just to prove a point, "You're a poet, you know. A wordsmith," he teases as he turns to head out the door, "I'll see you later tonight, Shakespeare!"
Three
The sound of the shower slows and then stops, the squeak of the tap audible from where you lie on the bed fully dressed and made up, waiting to go out for the night.
It's rare that Robby has enough time off to feel truly well rested or up for a night out on the town. But, on the occasions he does, he insists on making the most of it. He makes dinner reservations at the restaurant you've been dropping hints about, gives you an excuse to get dolled up the way you want to. But, without fail he waits until the last minute to shower and get ready himself insisting he can do it in ten minutes flat. And he's right, but it doesn't make the waiting any easier on you.
Scrolling through social media, and TikTok only amuses you for so long and you're grateful to hear the en suite bathroom door open. Even more grateful for the sight before you. An absolute stunner of a man, tall and broad with nothing on but the towel that he wrapped around his waist. His gold pendant gleams where it lays on his damp chest and you trace a trail down his torso with your eyes, fixating on how low that towel sits on his hips.
"Slut," you mutter collapsing back against the mattress, forcing yourself to advert you gaze for the sake of your reservation.
"What was that?" He asks, too busy getting ready to notice your dramatic collapse the sound of the towel dropping is such a tease. He's slipped into boxers and slacks by the time you garner the strength to look him again, your bottom lipped is trapped between your teeth because honestly the new look isn't much better for your deep seated yearning than the bath towel.
"What's wrong?" He asks, standing at the side of the bed. He looks self satisfied, confirming that the towel stunt was an intentionally indecent display.
"You're going to be the death of me," you whine and cross your arm over your eyes. The sight of him buttoning the cuffs of his shirt is sure to send you over the edge.
You swear he torturing you on purpose when he sits down at the edge of the bed to put his socks and shoes on. His weight shifts the mattress leaving you wishing he was over you instead of beside you. His button up shirt strains at the shoulders as he leans forward to tie his laces. The puckered seams barely containing the breadth of him are the final nail in the coffin of your dinner plans. You roll over, sliding up onto your knees so you can situate yourself behind him. Draping yourself to lean over his shoulder. You can smell the cologne he rarely wears because of the hospitals scent free policy and you make no effort to hide how it gets you going. Everything about him does. Nuzzling his neck you realize he's applied the fragrance right where you always end up nuzzled against his neck. "Slut!" You accuse.
His hands come up to hold around your wrists where they stay draped around him. He gives a gentle and affectionate squeeze, "only for you, baby". He stands, you rising with him still on the bed. He turns to help you step down, his hand offered to you like a gentleman. He pulls you close to him when you're on solid ground appreciating your form, and your outfit. "Gorgeous," he compliments. And you hum in appreciation, smiling a 'thank you' as you head to grab your shoes.
"What's the address for this place again?" He asks grabbing his glasses to see his phone screen better.
"Oh dear god!" You laugh faux fainting, "doctor! She's deceased. Cause of death doctor Robinavitch's slutty little glasses!"
"We're never going to make it to dinner, are we?"

hold me and explore me
bucky x f!Reader.
Just a drabble, karaoke chaos with Yelena and Ava.
word count: 500
warnings: none
Bucky Masterlist
“You have to sing what we chose, that's the whole point?”
“Ugh, do I at least know the song?”
Yelena grinned, “sure. You'd have to live under a rock.”
“Which one is Juno again?”
Ava hums some of the bridge, and you think you remember it. It doesn't feel like you're falling into a trap. But then, it never does till you're already in it.
“Ok, ok, fine. Gimme,” you hold your hand out for the microphone with one hand and down your beer with the other. Behind you, John wolf whistles through his fingers.
The song is fine.
At first.
Risqué enough that you get the giggles, but not so in the gutter that you don't dare look at the man to your right.
One arm resting on the table, lightly holding his beer bottle. Legs spread wide. The lyrics on the screen tell you exactly when to not look at him.
“Wanna try out some freaky positions?” You sing through laughter. Ava and Yelena demonstrate a pose that has you creased over during the short instrumental section.
You can feel his eyes on you. He's not watching them fooling around. He's watching you laugh.
Then comes the bit of the song that you've heard before, you must have, but have no memory of.
“Adore me, hold me and explore me, mark your territory…”
The girls are egging you on, and at first you're not at all sure what they're so hyped up about. Then the words appear on the screen and you feel the heat in your hands, your face, everywhere.
“Adore me, hold me and explore me, I'm so fucking horny, tell me I'm the only, only, only, only one…”
You finish the song, looking literally anywhere but at Bucky, and vow to kill Lena and Ava in their sleep.
Their little plot to push your crush on Bucky out into the open had missed your radar completely. You had only yourself to blame for falling into their trap.
“You make me wanna make you fall in love,” you finish with a nervous giggle and take a bow before launching the microphone at Yelena.
“Another round?” You ask no one in particular, and dart out of the booth before anyone can stop you.
At the bar, you wait your turn.
You don't flinch at all at the arms that wrap around you and pull you back against their chest.
“How long till they guess?” Bucky asks into your ear. His voice is soft and warm, it slides down your neck and straight to your core. And he knows it.
“Any second now if you don't let me go?”
“But I'm so fucking horny,” he laughs, you feel it rumble against your back. "C'mon, let's get out of here, they don't know shit."

Just random thoughts after watching Mission Impossible: Final Reckoning a second time
•I just love Erica's message to Ethan that he watches on the TV, with all the clips of his past missions, it just made me so emotional.
•The fact that when Ethan comes out after speaking with the Entity, he touches Grace and Benji, asking if theyre real, its just so cute for me.
•How in the world did Benji know exactly what to do from just one page of random ramblings from Ethan, those to have some kind of telepathic communication.
• I love how the do the cuts between scenes, primarily when Benji and Ethan are giving the same speech about the mission and it cuts and makes it seem like they're finishing eachothers sentences. I love the way it connects them even when they're miles apart. Also when it's doing the cuts between Ethan fighting on the submarine and they're fighting at the Sosus station, like they're both going through the same thing.
•When Benji speaks to Paris in French even though she can understand English ❤️
•WHY DID THEY GET RID OF THE FOREHEAD TOUCH SCENE! 😡
I love this series. I just randomly started watching them and I'm soo happy I dod and then got to see the Final one.

Hi ryen! I was watching josh johnson and he was talking about the trend/“prank” where guys call their friends to wish them goodnight and i wondered how 3tan yoongi and bro would react if they did it to each other lol
…oh my god. oh, my god.

You [10:12pm]: come here for a sec
Idiot🙄 [10:12pm]: ???
Your brother walks into your room ten seconds later, wondering why the hell you’d text him in the middle of the night if you weren’t in serious need of help.
“Oh,” you puff out from your cotton abode. “I just didn’t wanna get up.”
“…Wow.” As he turns to leave, you shoot up and stop him,
“Wait! Real quick, you have to do this.”
“Do what.”
He goes to where you beckon him with a grin, sitting on the edge of your bed and looking at your phone. You show him a video of a prank you’ve seen making the rounds, and he immediately laughs in recognition,
“I’ve seen this, yeah. And it’s weird! Why would you just tell me goodnight outta nowhere? The fuck?”
“Y’all are the ones that are weird! It’s just a good night!”
“Nah. That is a red flag if I've ever seen one. Wait, you want me to do it? To who?”
You have someone in mind, but you’re definitely not gonna say his name out loud. “I dunno, you have like a thousand friends. Pick one.”
After a quick laugh, your brother comes to the conclusion on his own. “Nah, wait, it’s gotta be Yoongi. Hold on.”
Excellent. You agree. Perfect scenario.
You get your phone ready to record, already knowing your brother is gonna put on the most ridiculous show known to man, cheeks straining with repressed anticipation.
What’s Yoongi gonna say? How’s he gonna react? Is he even gonna pick up?
The phone rings once.
Then it goes quiet as it’s answered.
“Sup.”
Immediately, your brother folds his lips to keep from laughing, and you have to smack your own mouth shut with a hand. Talk about stage fright. He looks downright embarrassed.
“Hello?”
When your brother’s voice comes out a little forced, you throw your head back and feel a burn down your throat from containing your laughter. “H-hey, Yoong, what’s up.”
“Just finishing things up at the studio. You good?”
"Yeah, man. About to head to bed."
There's a jingle of keys on the line, and your fingers slide up to your eyes then back down again as you watch your normally confident sibling fight to keep himself together.
"...And?"
A high-pitched squeak eeks from your mouth before both you and your brother double over in painful, joyfully painful silent laughter. This is going exactly how you imagined it would, even up to the way your sibling cannot sit anymore and has to result to pacing.
"Nah, that was.. That was it," he strains out in a higher pitch, unable to look at your tear-dotted eyes. "Just wanted to say goodnight, you know? You know how it goes."
The elongated silence on the line is enough to send you straight into your pillowcase. You damn near forget you're recording this whole disaster of a call.
"...Is this a joke?"
Oh, god. Your shoulders hurt as you puff into silk, and you raise your head enough to see your brother's teeth as he laughs,
"What? No! I can't even wish my bro goodnight?"
"No."
"Ah, come on, say it back."
"Pass."
Your cheeks are pulled so taut you don't know when they'll snap back to their regular shape.
Forget perfect, this has crossed the line into priceless. Leave it to your brother to twist his timidness to a place of control in a snap. Now the ball is in Yoongi's hands and you can't wait to see what he does with it.
"Come on, Yoongi,” he chides in a whine, “I'm about to pass out, lemme hear it."
What you expect is for Yoongi to go radio silent again. Or refuse again. The ambient noise on the line is normal, as always.
So both you and your brother are completely thrown speechless when you hear a tender, quiet,
"Good night to you, too."
Oh, shit.
Oh, shit!
Your mouth agape mirrors your brother's stunned expression, and a second passes before both of you completely and utterly lose it.
"Holy shit!"
"What the fuck, Yoong?"
Your laughter must sound so crunchy over the phone, because your laughs combined are so damn loud in response, yours even more so because seeing your older sibling reduced to jelly is making you wheeze.
On the speaker, you can just hear the laughter in Yoongi's voice. And it makes you miss him terribly,
"Of course."
"Damn it, man! You gotta warn me before doing that."
"Don't play games you can't win."
When he throws his head back in laughter, you grin and watch your phone recording him. "I'll remember that."
"Is it just you two?"
"Yeah, she made me do it," your brother blurts, to which you yell in response,
"Wow, snitch!"
Another laugh on the line puffs out, and you let your own out again. This was everything you imagined and more.
When they have their own conversation, you stop your video and keep laughing to yourself, more than satisfied that you initiated the prank. Doesn’t matter that your sibling walks out of the room with even more laughter, closing your door with a soft click.
Yoongi took that like a champ.
You hope your brother will take your dirty little secret just as well.
....
Right.

I know I’ve been giving a lot of requests- but recently, your the only writer who seem to answer my requests so thank you (also I love your writing so much, it’s not even funny). But I really hope if you could do husband!joaquin with swimmer!reader? You can free write it but here’s some ideas just in case:
Swimmer!Reader winning a gold medal at some competitions
OR/AND
Joaquin cheering very loudly while watching from the plane after a mission and Sam being very confused and Joaquin hogging the screen
thank you in advance, hugs and kisses, Adria
Cheering From The Sky ~ Joaquín Torres
synopsis: Even when Joaquín wasn't there, he always supported you
tw: fem!reader, swimmer!reader, husband!Joaquín,
fic, ficlet, drabble, request
Adria, this is for the second idea you had for this. I hope you like it!!
➽──────────────❥
Joaquín always wanted to be with you for your meets, he knew it made you feel safer. But he was called into a last minute mission that lasted longer than he thought it would, so he was stuck watching your meet on his plane ride home. Sam was just trying to calm down after the mission, but Joaquín kept cheering.
"Joaquín, man, what is going on?" Sam had to ask, rubbing a hand down his face.
"I'm watching my girl's swim competition," Joaquín said, sitting on the edge of his seat while watching you swim your last lap. "That's my girl!" Joaquín shouted as you finished first, you smiled at the camera when you got out of the pool. You gave a small wave, the same one you sent to the camera every time Joaquín couldn't make it to your competition. Joaquín cheered extra loud when you got the gold again, mentally planning on how he's going to show you just how proud of you he is when he gets home.

Warnings/contains: Friends to lovers, calling reader 'love', smut, Oral (M receiving), 18+, throat fucking ofc
Order: Will smith + Oral Fixation
WC: 518
An: This was literally the perfect first ask. I can see Will having the biggest Orals fixation. Im still getting used to writing again, so sorry if its a bit short! I can't tell if this is really bad or if it is okay becuase its 4 am as of me writing this. NOT PROOF READ.
"Uhhh- just highlights from last night." He replied before adjusting his pants so his bulge is less noticeable. You glaced down knowing exactly what he was doing and what effect you have on him. You make constant eye contact with him as you suck on your lollipop. His eyes filled with desire as you make eye contact with him. He feel his cock straining against his jeans.
It all started with you sucking on that god damn lollipop. The second you came back home, you had it in your mouth, and of course, that's the first thing Will would notice. He was just sitting on the couch peacefully watching hockey highlights from last night's game when you walked in with that thing in your mouth. It didn't help that you were swirling the candy around in your mouth like it was your last meal. He can feel his dick creating a bulge in his jeans that were already tight enough without you making it worse. He closed his eyes, imagining what it would feel like if his dick was the lollipop instead when you brought him back to reality by sitting next to him on the couch, "What are you watching?"
"Fuck- you know exactly what your doing to me, dont you?" The words almost came out as a whimper instead. His eyes flicker between your lips and your eyes, not being able to decide on which one to look at. You took the lollipop out of your mouth and slipped in Will's as you got on the floor between his thighs.
"Love, if you keep teasing don't blame me for what happens next." Will look at you with his piercing blue eyes. You hummed around his tip challenging him. Before you can even finish your next breath, he grabbed back of your head and thrusted his whole length inside of your mouth making you gag and tear up.
"So are you going to keep me waiting or what?" As soon as the sentence ended Will started to unbutton his jeans and taking off his underwear. Your mouth was salivating at the sight of his roch hard dick. Even his dick was pretty, it was long with a prominent vain on the left side of it. He already had precum dripping from his tip. You opened your mouth and barely let his tip inside, clearly teasing him.
"You are doing so good for me" Will praised you as if he wasn't throat fucking you at the same time. He increased the speed to help him reach high. He was tipped over the edge when he look down at you glossy eyed looking up at him. He came in your mouth, your taste buds overloaded with the taste of him, the mix of salty and a bit of sweet. He pulled out of your mouth as he watch you swallow his cum. He popped the little part of the remaining lollipop out of his mouth and put it on the coffee table. He smirked as he grabbed your chin to forcefully make you look at him. "I'm not done with you yet, Love"

Second Round - Day Six (BB) 1 of 2
@belsasim, @corrienteallita, @cawthorntales, @hashimasims, @ravingsockmonkey, @pixeldistractions - Sim creators and co-writers
Bright and early, the household wakes up. Room order was randomised with Mariela and Harmony getting the ground floor rooms. A wheel was spun for type of shower the contestants would have (opportunity for energised, flirty or inspired moodlet) and whether they would brush their teeth (possible confident moodlet). Once they are finished getting ready they're sent to breakfast. Autonomy is toggled on and room doors are locked.
The order the contestants arrive at breakfast matters a little. Deanna compliments each of them in the order they arrive. Those who are talked to early seem to have more chance of fitting in autonomous socials with Deanna. They might fit in a joke, flirt or gossip between her complimenting others.
Mariela: Good morning Deanna *hugs*
Deanna: *chuckling* In a good mood I see
Mariela may be first to breakfast but she's followed soon by Harmony and Sarah who grab some of the available french toast.
Sarah: Oh hey the curtains are gone
Deanna: Yes. For the challenge today we'll be at another location so no need to block off that room
Kaye: I hope it's something outside again
Billie: Like who can paint the coastline best
Harmony gets up and hugs Deanna before getting her social for the day.
Dee: Harmony, Kaye and I finally checked out your show, Adventures of Skunkbert
Harmony: Dare I ask what you thought of it?
Kaye: It was great! We only watched three episodes so it's good we've got more to go
Billie: I really like the animation style you've used for it. But how does it keep going while you're here?
Harmony: I work on it on our days off and send the drafts to the rest of the production team
Mariela: If they give you any trouble refer them to me, I'm a pro at protests
Sarah: That's awesome. What have you protested for?
Mariela: *awkward chuckle* You know, I'm never entirely sure...
Kaye: To be fair there's always some protest happening around the city. I seem to run in to one whenever I'm out of the apartment
Sarah: The city seems exciting
Billie: I went to the art gallery last time I visited, it was great but still not much like I do
Dee: That's good though right? Means there's room for your work
Kaye: That's rather mellow for you Dee
Dee: What can I say? I woke up in a good mood. Plus I believe there's nothing you can't do if you just work hard enough for it
Deanna: Interesting theory
Mariela: Not everyone can work though. There's no shame in having conditions that prevent it
Everyone turned to look at Mariela, that was a serious statement from the resident goofball.
Mariela: Take Billie here, she can't help having green hair
Billie: *pulls faces* Don't be silly, it's dyed. No one has green hair naturally
Harmony: You do hear rumors about some spellcasters though...
Kaye: I don't know about just spellcasters, a lot of my extended family have interesting hair shades
Sarah: I like having colour in my hair, but it's definitely not natural
Deanna: I'd never dyed my hair before Devin took me shopping for a makeover
Harmony: I think I got lucky with my natural hair colour
Dee: The red looks nice
While Harmony, Mariela, Sarah and Dee stay chatting with Deanna, Billie and Kaye decide to head outside and play some simbles.
Billie: You're really just human even though your ears are... you know...
Kaye: *laughing* Pointy? Yep. Just human much to the horror of my mother
Devin: Hello everyone and welcome to Tartosa Gym. Today's challenge was picked by our pa, who is a fitness fan. Each of you has been tasked with completing the beginners endurance challenge on the rock wall. Fastest time wins. Good luck everyone
Devin hands it over to Aaron who gives a brief tutorial on how the rock wall works. It operates like a vertical treadmill, ticking over as contestants get closer to the top. Aaron takes everyone through some pre climb stretching to warm up, we need to be safe after all.
Aaron: I've picked this challenge because love is a marathon, not a sprint. You have to keep putting in the work if you want it to thrive. I'm looking forward to seeing who wins
Devin directs everyone to the right walls and the cameras position themselves.
Aaron: Any guesses who might win this one?
Deanna: I'm thinking Kaye. She's adventurous and she loves rock climbing. I mean I would be very surprised if she didn't win
Aaron: Care to tell me who you want to win?
Deanna: *laughs* Again? I'm not going to say it and jinx anyone pa
Mariela: I've seen those machines before. They're quite intimidating! I have to admit... I'm a little scared.
Harmony: I don't think it's a good idea for the clumsy girl to do this. But if it gives me a shot with Deanna I am game.
Billie: Hm. Rock climbing is pretty much the opposite to the painting challenge I was hoping for, but at least there are padded mats around!
Sarah: Whaaaat?!? There's gonna be an ambulance ready for me, right?
Dee: Now this is a challenge I can get behind! * flex *
Kaye: YES! I love rock climbing!
Despite strong starts both Mariela and Dee fall off the wall before completing the challenge. Luckily they make good landings, no broken bones here. Despite being clumsy Harmony does a fabulous job holding on and completes the challenge with a time of 37.58 seconds! Billie also completes the challenge with a slightly faster time of exactly 35 seconds.
Despite Sarah's call for an ambulance she doesn't fall. She completes the challenge in 33.65 seconds! Kaye, to no one's surprise really, is an expert on the wall! Her time? 23.19 seconds! Despite the fastest time Kaye has already had her date this round so it will be bonus points for her and a date win for Sarah.
Dee: I need a cold shower. Don't talk to me.
Mariela: Note to self: Stay away from Mt. Komorebi!
Dee: But we weren't even in Mt Komorebi
Mariela: Yeah and that's why we're not dead. Kaye told me about how her Uncle did on the real mountain *shudders*
Dee: Do I want to know?
Mariela: Despite rumors spellcasters aren't actually mind readers Dee
Harmony: That went about as well as I thought it would.
Billie: I'd rather paint the climbing wall than climb it again. Congratulations to Kaye, they were like a spider up there!
Harmony: She was so fast! Definitely done it before
Billie: But seriously, a painting challenge soon right?
Harmony: I might not do too bad at one of those
Billie: You're a professional animator, you'd be a challenger for sure

SWEET (FOR ME)
Summary: Daniel sweats, and Max likes it a little too much. Rating: E Relationship: Daniel/Max Other Tags: Sweat Kink, Blowjobs
Big thanks to @onboardsorasora for the post that reminded me that this existed in my WIPs folder
Read Part 1 Here >> On AO3
or
↓ Read here under the cut ↓
Daniel's in the middle of getting out of his race suit to shower when the door to his driver room opens.
He's angry – angry at the car, angry at his engineers, angry at Zak for telling him, "Better luck next time," as he'd pushed past him on his way to the paddock.
Daniel turns, ready to cuss out whoever's intruded on him, obviously not expecting Max to be there. The words die on his lips before he can even get them out – how is Max here, in the middle of the McLaren motorhome, still in his race suit? How had he made it past everyone without being caught? Daniel's about to ask him when Max sinks to his knees in front of him, pushing his race suit down around his thighs, dragging his fireproofs and underwear with them.
Max pushes his face into Daniel's crotch, and Daniel's mouth drops open. He knows he's gross right now, he's dripping sweat all over the room, and Max is fucking nuzzling his sweat-damp pubes like it's the best thing on the planet. "Max," he whispers, "Max, let me shower, you've got an interview still, we can go back to the hotel after and-"
"No," Max says. "No," he repeats, softer this time, and he licks a messy stripe down Daniel's cock. Daniel drops a hand to Max's head, grabbing the brim of his hat and taking it off, dropping it to the floor. Max noses against him, breathing deep like he wants to commit the smell of Daniel's sweat to his memory, and Daniel pushes his fingers through Max's hair, making it stick up a little.
"Max," he says, "You have an interview to get to."
"They can wait," Max says, mouthing at Daniel's cock a second later, and god, Daniel wishes that wasn't doing it for him. Daniel thinks about Max, showing up to the interview, his lips red and swollen from his cock, if they'll ask where Max was, why he took so long. Max wraps his lips a second later, around the head of Daniel's cock, and Daniel closes his eyes.
"Fuck, Max," he breathes out as Max blows him.
He imagines Max being asked, imagines what would happen if Max smiles slyly, like a cat that got the cream, and imagines Max saying in a rough, fucked-out voice, "Well, I was just on my knees in the McLaren motorhome."
He knows it won't happen, but he does know how fast it would spread.
It would be milliseconds before the stories come out about it, about Max Verstappen, World Champion, giving head to someone who'd almost finished dead last.
But then Max is pulling off his cock, pushing his nose against Daniel's balls, and he breathes, "Come on my face." Daniel stares down at him. "Do it," Max tacks on a second later, and Daniel grabs his cock, immediately jerking off. He thinks about Max, doing his post-race interview with jizz all over his face, and he shouldn't find the idea as hot as he does, but it makes his cock hard, and that's enough for him. Max buries his face between Daniel's thighs, and then- oh.
Daniel's breath hitches. He shouldn't be turned on by this, by Max rubbing his face against his pubes, smelling him and lapping up his fucking sweat like there's nothing better.
Daniel's jizz ends up on Max's hair, his forehead, and a blob lands on his cheek when Max goes to pull back a little.
"Shit," Daniel whispers, grabbing a McLaren-branded towel and hurriedly wiping the jizz off Max's face. He's about to start cleaning it from Max's hair when Max backs away, grabbing his hat from where Daniel had dropped it.
"I'm going to be late," Max says, his voice rasping a little on his words. Daniel watches, dumbstruck, as Max stands and puts his hat on.
"Did you," Daniel starts, and Max smirks at him, unzipping his race suit. He grabs Daniel's hand, shoving it into his underwear, and Daniel suddenly feels sticky, hot jizz under his fingers. "Jesus," he breathes out. He pulls his hand out of Max's underwear, his fingers covered in Max's jizz, and Max zips his race suit back up so he can make his way to his interview.
"See you at the hotel," he says over his shoulder as he leaves, and Daniel has to sit down.
Eventually, he pulls up the live stream from the interview on his phone. If Max's voice sounds hoarse to anyone, if his lips look too red, too full, if they can smell Daniel all over him, no one says anything, and Daniel turns off the live stream, satisfied that they weren't caught.
He needs to shower.

stop overspending! or else!
this post is for you if you end each month in the negatives and you need someone to talk sense into you. i'm not pulling punches here, so scroll if that's not for you.
you're an adult, you don't need the new trendy toy. you especially don't need all 10 colours and the super rare special one. they aren't collectables that will appreciate in value, they'll be landfill fodder 3 years from now.
stop buying makeup and skincare without a plan. especially if there's product going rancid in your makeup bag because you're not finishing things. use what you have, then buy more.
speaking of skincare, keep your routines simple. you don't need 12 actives unless they were prescribed to you by a dermatologist (and even then, consider a second opinion please). doing too much will hurt you and your wallet in the long run.
one in one out. i can only buy an item of clothing when i donate or throw away one. this stops me from chasing trends and keeps me mindful of my impact.
limit the number of subscriptions you let yourself have. especially if it's streaming or gaming services. or apps, especially nasty little productivity apps that promise to change your life but are just glorified to do lists charging you $9.99 a month. two or three should be enough.
stop smoking! idc if it's vape, cigarettes or bud. quit. watch as your bank account stops screaming for help.
if you know it's overpriced, don't buy it.
if you know you don't need it, don't buy it.
no but seriously, don't buy it please. wasting money and resources and causing environmental damage because you want something and can't be bothered to think it through is not what we do here.
get your spending under control and work through the feelings going on behind the impulses. keep a journal that you write in every time you decide whether or not to buy something.
you can do it, by the way. i know that you're capable of managing your money the way you always dreamed. you're the kind of person who makes your money work for you. you just made a mistake, and it's time to forgive yourself and shake off the shame. get up and fix your money.

Sims In Bloom: Generation 2 Pt. 208 (First Day in Paradise)
Heather was up at dawn on the first full day in Sulani, and she set to work in the rental kitchen making Eggs Benedict as sunrise streamed through the open villa. The recipe was something she'd never made from scratch, but she was feeling ambitious and they weren't in their usual morning rush.
While she focused on the stove, glowing blue forms floated throughout the bamboo walls of the rental. Ash rolled over as sleep left him, groggily ignoring the island spirits. They weren't as human as ghosts and hadn't tried to speak to him, but by their colouring, Ash knew they were friendly and left them to it.
The Gordons were on their land, after all, and the spirits had every right to move freely through the tropical jungle at any pace they wanted, whether modern vacation rentals stood in their path or not.
Heather maxed out gourmet cooking when the Eggs Benny was done (for real instead of in the second save with Reaper Reward bonuses! She can make ambrosia again, but we need the ingredients), and the scent of eggs, bacon, and hollandaise wafted on the tropical breeze.
Soon, everyone was awake, making plans for their first day in paradise while they enjoyed breakfast as a family.
It was a perfect day, with a cloudless blue sky and just enough breeze, so the family decided to go to the public beach at the other end of Ohan'ali Town.
They finished breakfast and headed down the hill with both dogs, posing for a family portrait before the sands were too crowded with people. And they did get crowded when rumour spread down the beach that a real Del Sol Valley celebrity was sunning himself near the surfboards.
But if he wasn't a mermaid, none of the Gordons were all that interested. And Heather's clinic subscribed to enough tabloids (like @deardiaryts4 Inc.'s Simblr magazine!) for the waiting room that she knew he was probably just a human.
Lavender might've jumped for a celeb like Devin Villarreal or her sister, Deanna York, but building sandcastles with Roan took priority. Conrad watched them on shore while Ash and Heather rented snorkel gear to explore the reef inside the lagoon.
(Thorne Bailey was on the beach and so were the paps, but I shot around him cuz the Bailey-Moons probably won't be canon for another generation or two!)
Conrad caught up with Oliana Ngata, the woman who rented out most holiday villas in Sulani. They hadn't spoken since she and her son helped him find Rafa at the shipwreck years earlier and he'd closed the case on the murder of George and June Brindleton.
Oliana caught him up on life in the tropics - much quieter without the Brindletons spending every winter making too many demands, but at the same time, much louder since she and her wife had welcomed a new baby.
But the wife to whom she was wed when Conrad first met her, Leila Illes, wasn't her wife anymore. "Our relationship wasn't built to last," admitted Oliana. "We tried for a while, but eventually she moved out and we realized we were happier."
Her new wife had been born and raised on the mainland, and visited Sulani after university. Oliana called their romance "a whirlwind" and gushed about love. "And Tane really loves his new sister," she said with a proud smile. "Divorce was hard, but finding love and family again made all the pain worth it."
"I'm happy for you," said Conrad. "Sounds like a real happy ever after."
Oliana grinned. "Fairies might be as real as mermaids, after all, but life's not a fairy tale, Mr. Gordon. Ever after implies the story ever really ends, but true love feels eternal. And it always takes hard work."
Conrad liked the way that sounded, glancing toward the water where his wife dove to admire schools of fish in the turquoise sea. They'd had their share of drama over the years, but Heather and Conrad's love had proven time and again it was stronger than any trouble that might try to find them.
Their adoration for one another was undying; steadfast and true. Even now, as they faced an uncertain future with possible adoption and all the challenges innocent Iris might bring, they knew they'd get through it as a team. Just as they always had.
Thanks to the perfect weather, the family spent most of the day on the beach, until Heather took a tired and cranky Roan back to the rental for an afternoon nap.
Conrad stayed at the beach while Lavender hung out on the swings and Ash lounged on an inflatable. When Conrad waded into the water for a swim, Ash woke from his nap to join him.
"Can I ask a question about baby Iris?"
"Anything," Conrad told him.
"You and mom want to adopt her, don't you? I overheard you talking last night at Rafa and Melissa's place because the windows don't have any glass."
Conrad's stomach dropped, and he paddled faster to keep from sinking with it. He'd hoped Heather would lead this conversation, but he wouldn't lie to his stepson. "We've talked about it, but we haven't decided anything. We weren't going to decide without talking to you guys, first."
"Do you think Ximena's ghost will come for us if you adopt her baby?"
"I hope not. But now that she's dead, if her ghost wants to come for us then she will one way or another, won't she? And I'm still trying to figure out the best way to protect you from ghosts I can't see, but you know I'll do anything to keep you safe. Just like always."
"What if I'm cursed? What if my curse puts her in danger?"
"You're not cursed. I still believe that. Lavender and Roan aren't in danger around you, either. But if you are somehow cursed, you know your mother and I will stop at nothing to break it for you."
"When do we need to decide?"
"There's no deadline, but the sooner we make space for Rafa and Melissa to raise their own baby, it's probably better for everyone."
Ash nodded. "I know Lavender would be happy with a little sister, but can we think about it for a few days?"
"Of course we can. And I want you to know it's okay for you to say no. It's always okay to say no."
Ash paddled to shore with a mischievous smirk for his stepdad before his feet touched the sand.
"I know," he said, already half out of the water. "Last out has to clean up after the dogs the rest of the trip. Pretty sure I saw Captain Whitaker eating a plant that'll make his poop green!" ->

Why Stories Matter: Letting Them Loose, and the Havoc They Wreak
a deeply emotional rant about The Handmaid’s Tale’s betrayal of Nick Blaine
I started watching The Handmaid’s Tale when three seasons were already out. It was a bittersweet time: I was finishing my PhD, newly married, and we had just moved to a quiet house in the countryside. It was winter break. My husband worked in the capital during the week and came home on weekends. I stayed behind, mostly alone. We didn’t have our dog yet. We didn’t have our daughter yet.
One day, my neighbor and her little boy came over, and she suggested I try The Handmaid’s Tale. I’d read about the book but didn’t even know there was a show. I guess I was too buried in my studies. I needed something to watch in the mornings—just background noise while I made breakfast and drank my (now shocking to me) cup of coffee. I’m fully team matcha these days.
I gave it a go, assuming it wouldn’t be my thing. It seemed too heavy. I hadn’t read the novel yet, I absolutely knew what the book was about—I'm a literature professor with a PhD, after all. But our curriculum is very different, and The Handmaid’s Tale was never a required text, though it absolutely should be, considering our history. I’d read 1984, The Hunger Games, Red Rising… but I went in with zero expectations.
And then it happened.
The voices. The music. The imagery. The sheer emotional weight. It wasn’t background noise—it was everything. I couldn’t look away. I watched, completely still, barely breathing. It became my ritual, this sacred hour in the early morning dark. I devoured Season 1 and immediately bought the book. Then I rewatched Season 1 with the book’s insights. Then read the book again. Then rewatched again. It spiraled quickly, and I was loving every second.

I soon reached Seasons 2 and 3, and that’s when Nick Blaine truly became the heart of the show for me. His scenes were tiny rays of sunlight in the pitch-black cruelty of Gilead. He was hope, from the beginning. At first, I prayed he wasn’t an Eye. Then I hoped he was an Eye for a reason. And when we learned that he became one to take down corrupt Commanders after a Handmaid died under the Waterfords’ roof—it shattered me.
He didn’t yell or rally crowds. He didn’t write manifestos. His resistance was quiet, cautious, calculated—and deeply human. That made it more believable. More painful. More real. I saw myself in him.
I’m not loud. I go to protests, but I’m the one who moves with the crowd, not the one holding a megaphone. I vote. I sign petitions. I care. But I don’t scream. Nick felt like my kind of hero. Someone who shows up. Who watches. Who listens. And who acts—when it really matters.
His connection with June was the soul of the show. When he brought her that message from Luke in Canada… I don’t have words for what that scene meant to me. I rewatch it every time I’m traveling alone for work (I’m also a translator and interpreter). It gives me comfort—like a familiar voice in an unfamiliar city. At this point, Nick should be claiming frequent flyer miles for all the emotional support he's given me in hotel rooms. That kind of quiet love—that sacrifice? It stays with you, long after the credits roll.
When I ran out of episodes, I read The Testaments. It pulled me out of a COVID reading slump and helped me feel grounded during the chaos of those early lockdowns.

Season 4 was the first I watched live. Week by week. I’d rewatch each episode before the next aired. I was obsessed with the music (Adam Taylor’s score deserves awards), the cinematography, the acting. Honestly, if I could major in 'Handmaid's Tale Visual Suffering with a Minor in Symbolic Pacing,' I probably would’ve. I convinced my husband to watch with me, but I still needed those solo rewatches. As an introvert, I needed space to fully feel the show. And afterward? The podcasts. Above the Garage was (and still is) my favorite. (Eyes on Gilead lost me a bit with the inaccuracies.)
Season 5 aired while I was grieving a chemical pregnancy. The show, with its themes of motherhood and loss and strength, kept me afloat. My ritual stayed the same: episode with my husband, rewatch alone, podcast on my walks or while folding laundry. I lived and breathed this show. I analyzed every word, every glance. When Nick started acting… off… I noticed. Why was he asking June to come to New Bethlehem after risking everything to get her out of Gilead? It didn’t make sense. But I kept hope alive.
I got pregnant again soon after Season 5 ended. I was terrified the whole first trimester. Naturally, I turned to The Handmaid’s Tale. I rewatched it all during my pregnancy (well, up to Season 4—life gets busy). That’s how much it meant to me. That’s how much I needed it.

When my labor started, I tried to stay home as long as possible. In a stroke of absurd optimism, my husband put on The Handmaid’s Tale to distract me. Spoiler: it didn’t help. But I remember a scene where Nick tells Lawrence he just wants to keep June alive. That stayed with me through the pain.
Fast forward a couple days: I’m in the hospital with my newborn daughter. She’s sleeping beside me. And what pops up on my phone? A notification for a new Above the Garage episode: “Nick Blaine Character Analysis.” I listened, right there in my hospital room. No headphones. Just me, my daughter, and the voice of someone who got it. Honestly, if the nurse had walked in, I probably would’ve asked her to sit down and listen too—priorities, right?
Back home, I continued rewatching the series during those endless breastfeeding sessions. I was a hormonal mess (shoutout to postpartum life), but somehow it made me appreciate the show even more.
Now, let me tell you—I was blessed with a very difficult baby. Sleep? What sleep? Some days I couldn’t see the light at the end of the tunnel. My peace? Long stroller walks with The Handmaid’s Tale soundtrack in my ears. Or podcasts dissecting Nick’s every breath. That world became my safe place. Which, now that I think about it, is kind of ironic—finding comfort in such a bleak, brutal show. But maybe that’s what made it feel so real. So earned.
So when Season 6 was announced? I was ecstatic. Finally, we’d see Nick’s Mayday storyline in full. Finally, his years of quiet resistance would come to light. I couldn’t wait. My toddler had just entered the chaos era (Toddlerzilla unlocked), but I clung to this. Tuesdays became sacred again.
Problem: Tuesdays are my university days. I travel early to the capital to teach. Solution? Downloaded HBO to my phone. Set my alarm for 5:45. My sleep-deprived brain thought this was a solid plan—clearly, I was still in denial about how far the show would go to ruin my week before it even started. Watched episodes on the train, half-awake, headphones on, praying for a stable internet connection. If the signal failed, I hid in my office to finish the episode before lecture. Mother. Scholar. Fanatic.
When Nick “betrayed” June, I wasn’t even upset. We knew it was coming. He revealed a plan that June never supported anyway. I figured—okay, we’re moving pieces. He’ll explain next episode. We’ll be fine. It’ll all make sense.
Oh, how naive I was.
The second half of Season 6 felt like a cruel joke. It broke me. The writing wasn’t just inconsistent—it was insulting. I kept asking: who are these writers? Did they swap out mid-season? I was so disoriented I started talking to AI. My friends watched casually. I was spiraling alone.
Thank god for Easter break—and a couple of other unexpected free Tuesdays. I watched the last two episodes at home, alarm set for 6 am, praying for redemption. What I got instead? Grief. Disbelief. Rage. Intrusive thoughts. Total disillusionment.
It. Did. Not. Make. Sense.
For the first time in my life, I started commenting online. I argued. I brought receipts. I found other fans who felt the same. We built a community. We cried, raged, and analyzed together. And I realized something:
The people who care most about this show? The ones who remember every line, who understand every choice? They all love Nick. Because he’s not a coward. He’s not a villain. He’s not violent or dishonest. He’s just a man doing the best he can in a world gone wrong.
So no. I’m not watching The Testaments. They don’t deserve our viewership after this. I can't believe I'm saying this—but I'm glad it's over. The damage they did in just a few episodes was so severe that it turned years of love into something close to resentment. It's a brutal irony, really—how something that once brought me comfort and strength ended up making me feel betrayed and disillusioned.
The writers may have forgotten their own show. But we haven’t. We remember who Nick Blaine was.
And that’s why stories matter. Because even when they get ruined—when they get butchered by people who never understood their own characters—we carry the truth with us. As Philip Pullman once said, 'After nourishment, shelter and companionship, stories are the thing we need most in the world.'
And I won’t let those clueless writers take that away from me.

sparks fly- zayne li
can your evol help you figure out your relationship between you and zayne?
fluff, word count: 1.9k
warnings: swearing (pls lmk if i'm missing any!)
info: reader has an electrical manipulation evol, reader has liked zayne for 3 years and known him for 12 years, pavlov effect?, zayne being a smart cutie as always, both reader and zayne confess <3
notes: if i could choose what evol i would have, it would definitely be electrical manipulation like you can control the weather, people's movements and technology? sounds like a no brainer to me icl
Having an electricity manipulation evol makes life very easy.
Stuck outside and your phone is at 2%? Use your evol! Sat in the car and you’re running late? Use your evol to change the traffic lights from red to green obviously!
It's like having a personal genie that grants all your requests. But can your evol help you figure out if Zayne likes you back? You decide to test this theory of yours.
The plan? Create literal sparks whenever you touch.
The first time you meet Zayne after devising your theory is a Monday. Perfect. You agree to meet Zayne at the café outside Akso hospital after you finish work. You sit down opposite Zayne, looking through the menu and a server approaches you. “What would you like to order?” You order your favourite mango pancakes and Zayne orders his usual macaron set.
“Would you like any drinks to go with that?” The server asks, pen in hand ready to take down your drink orders.
“I’ll have a salted caramel milkshake with extra caramel sauce, please.” Zayne says, looking over at you.
“I’ll have a strawberry milkshake, please.” The server writes down your orders and moves on to serve the next table.
The server comes back about twenty minutes later, orders in hand and places them on the table. “I think this milkshake is yours.” You say, passing over Zayne’s milkshake to him and his fingertips gently brush past yours.
This is it, ___. Use your evol! You allow your evol to pass through you, creating an electric shock. You look at your fingers in confusion to play the part, gently blowing on them. Zayne jumps back at the sensation, rubbing his hand against his fitted white top.
“Perhaps it’s the fabric of the chairs that caused the electric shock.” Zayne says, popping a macaron into his mouth.
Clearly we have some work to do.
The second time you meet up with Zayne, you insist on meeting up at a playground.
“Why are you just standing there? Join me!” You exclaim.
“Why did you insist on meeting up at the playground?” Zayne asks, simply standing there like a parent watching over their child.
“It’s fun! Let loose, Doctor Li!” You say, hanging off the monkey bars.
“I’m not ten, ___.” Zayne says, his arms crossed over his chest. He doesn’t even show one of his 0.05 degree smiles. In all of your twelve years of knowing him, he has never looked more serious in his life.
“Think about it from another perspective.” You sit up. “You’re a doctor. When you have a five year old patient, what are you going to talk to them about? There’s no way for you to have a flowing conversation with them if you haven’t allowed yourself to have fun in literal years!”
“I guess you have a point.” Zayne says, his expression defeated, showing you that you have won this battle.
“Race you to the slides!” You shout, jumping off the monkey bars and you immediately sprint towards the slides.
“You didn't even give me a countdown!” Zayne’s footsteps quickly follow you.
As you make your way up the climbing equipment to the slide, you hear Zayne trying to catch up with you but he is desperately losing. The sound of his head hitting the sides of the equipment resonates throughout the playground, making you double over in laughter.
You reach the ground first, making a victory pose and waving to Zayne as he sits with his legs crossed, catching his breath. He eventually gets down the slide, and you grin at his tired expression. “Nice try, Zaynie. Maybe you’ll be able to beat me one day! Just not today.” You pat his back, comforting him.
Once again, you allow your evol to flow through you, feeling the gentle vibration as your hand makes contact with his back. In his tired state, Zayne gets startled by the sparks and jumps back.
“Look at us! I guess we have some chemistry.” You tease, playfully shoving Zayne’s shoulder.
“I guess we do.” Zayne responds and you smile widely. “Or it might just be that we wear ill- fitting clothes that are more likely to cause electric shocks.” Your smile falters for a second and only then, does Zayne smile.
Zayne doesn’t seem to feel the same way. That’s okay. It’s not okay, but maybe time will close the feeling of emptiness after a while.
The next time I see Zayne, I won’t use my evol.
You find yourself sitting at a park bench, kicking your legs in boredom as you wait for Zayne to come back with his popcorn bucket from the pop up stall.
I should just confess once and for all, get it over and done with. Maybe he’s just being subtle about his feelings?
Zayne comes back, hugging his popcorn bucket in his arms, his cheeks puffed up from all the popcorn in his mouth. “Do you want some?” He asks. He looks like a little squirrel that is saving all its acorns for winter hibernation. How cute.
You nod, grabbing a handful of popcorn and shove it into your mouth.
What if he doesn’t feel the same? But what if he does feel the same?
“What’s on your mind?” He asks, noticing your weird demeanor and sits down next to you.
“It’s just work.” Liar. You sigh. “I’ll be fine, don’t worry. Maybe a little stroll would help.”
“Let’s go for a stroll then. How about we go to the lake?” He suggests and you stand up, following Zayne's lead.
You soon find yourself between two paths. One that is extremely busy with people barely fitting between the designated paths and the other quieter path that seems to be for nature lovers. “Which way do you want to go?” Zayne asks, looking over to you.
“I think we should go on the quieter path. We would probably get there quicker since there won't be as many people getting in our way.” You suggest and Zayne nods in agreement.
Making your way through the path that you chose, you notice the countless large roots and little weeds in the ground make it hard to step on flat ground. This was a mistake. Or maybe it’s for the better, you can probably get out some of your frustration on this hellish walk.
“I think I see a glimpse of the lake in the distance.” Zayne says. You slow down and you see Zayne with more energy in his steps, probably from the sight of the lake in the distance.
Finding purchase in a steady tree trunk, you lean against it, closing your eyes for a quick break. “You look comfy.” Zayne says. You open your eyes and he's suddenly appeared in front you. “Come on, we will be at the lake in about five minutes. Three, if we are really quick and careful.”
“Where’s your popcorn bucket?” You ask, completely ignoring his comment about the lake.
“I threw it away whilst you were deciding which path to go down.” He responds.
“I don’t believe you.” You squint, trying to look for his popcorn bucket.
“Do you really believe that I can hide a massive popcorn bucket on my body without it sticking out like a sore thumb?” He questions you, his face clearly confused.
“Knowing you, Doctor Li, one of the smartest people I know and a sweet addict, yes. Difficult, but possible if it’s you.”
“Check me if you want, but you are not going to be able to find it anywhere.” He suggests and you check his inner and outer pockets. Nothing. Only some black pens.
“Told you so.” He smirks in victory and you put his pens back into his pockets.
“Help me up then.” You say, stretching your hand in front of him, your hand hovering over his.
He takes your hand. “If I feel an electric shock and accidentally drop you, it’s not my fault.” Your fingers stiffen at his words. “There we go.” He helps you up and brushes off the dirt off your shoulders. “Strange. I thought there would be an electric shock but there wasn't any. Would it be weird of me to say that I kind of miss it? I still felt an electrifying feeling when I touched your hands, even though there was no electric shock.”
How can he get an electrifying feeling if I didn’t use my evol?
“Zayne. I have something to confess.” You breathe in sharply. “I was the one who created the electric shocks, the sparks- whatever you want to call it. I used my evol to create them. I wanted to know if you liked me back. It’s childish, I know. I should have just been mature about it and told you straight up but I thought my evol would have helped me like it usually does.”
“I know.” Way to be subtle, ___. “The first time it happened at the café, I thought it was an accident. The second time, I thought it was a coincidence. It definitely made me a little suspicious. When I mentioned the electric shocks, I noticed your fingers tense up. Besides, you're the only person that I know with an electricity manipulation evol. All signs lead to you, ___.” Can the ground just swallow me whole?
“Since I just gave a heartfelt speech, let’s just pretend that never happened.” You splutter, ready to walk to the lake.
“I wasn't finished, ___.” Zayne says, his hand gently wrapping around your wrist and you turn around to face him. “I know I’m not the most expressive with my feelings but I thought my actions would be a little helpful. Why would I willingly offer you my popcorn when you know I love sweets so much? Why would I willingly brush off the dirt on your shoulders when you know that I hate having unclean hands?” Zayne breathes in, composing himself. “I’m sorry that I expected you to notice my small actions when I should have stepped up and confessed instead. I like you ___, so much.”
What?
“Zayne.” You look up at him. “I thought that if you felt the same about me, I would be screaming and would be letting the entire world know. Now that you have actually confessed, my brain is all jumbled up. You actually like me back?” Your vision slowly becomes blurry with tears.
“I do.” Zayne smiles, gently wiping off the tears falling down your face. “I’ve liked you for about five years now.”
“How did you manage to keep those feelings to yourself for five years? I’ve liked you for the past three years and every time I saw you, all I wanted was to be in your arms.” You ask, genuinely intrigued at his amazing patience.
“Because it’s you. If it was anyone else, I wouldn’t have been able to hold on for this long but I have always had this slight feeling you felt the same.”
“You had a slight feeling that I liked you back and just decided to do nothing about it? Whilst we were both clearly struggling to keep the feelings to ourselves?” Your mouth is open in shock. “Zayne Li, you better start running like your life depends on it. If I get to the lake before you do, you’re in for it.”
“What are you planning to do to me?” He gulps.
“I tackle you to the ground and kiss your cute face.” You beam, imagining his wide eyes in shock as he hits the ground.
“Deal, but on one condition.” He agrees to your bet. “If I get there first, I’m going to kiss you until you pry me off with your own hands.”

Not Impressed Part 2 – Tyler Owens
Part 1
A few days after we met the Tornado Wranglers, I was on campus. I stayed in one of the study rooms that I use for my tutoring sessions. Every Tuesday and Thursday, I tutor other students in the library. After my last student left, I spent time working on my own homework.
When I got bored with my biochemistry homework, I started scrolling on social media. My heart jumped into my throat when I stumbled across the Tornado Wranglers. I got caught up in a social media spiral and started watching old videos.
Whatever I tried, I couldn't stop myself from going through their YouTube page. I was still watching them on my phone as I walked out of the library. I was almost to my car when the video I was watching was interrupted by a loud alert on my phone.
My heart plummeted as I read the tornado warning for the area. In ten seconds, people were running through the parking lot. I was almost at the nearest building when. . . I don't know what happened next. I blacked out.
When I woke up, I had no idea how much time had passed. I tried to get up, but there was something stopping me. I looked down, and through my hazy eyes, I could see a piece of metal pinning me to the ground. I looked around, searching for something to help.
I finally found a tree branch and struggled to reach it. When I finally grabbed it, I hit it against the metal thing on top of me. I hit it as long as I could. With each swing, I got weaker and weaker.
Right as I was about to give up, I heard what sounded like a truck or van pulling over. I thought I heard footsteps as I hit the metal thing one last time before my arm gave out and the tree branch fell out of my hand.
"Y/N?"
I could barely see him through the blood and dark spots in my eyes. "Tyler?" I asked weakly.
"I'm here," he soothed. "Just hang on, alright? Don't move. We don't want your injuries getting worse."
"I can't. . ."
"It's okay," he said gently when I didn't continue. "I'll get you out there as soon as I can."
I closed my eyes, the pounding in my head and the pain in my chest starting to get unbearable. I opened my eyes to see him trying and failing to lift the metal thing off me. The longer he struggled, the more pain flooded my body.
"Tyler," I whimpered. He stopped and looked at me when I said his name.
"It's going to be okay. Just hang on," he shushed. I closed my eyes again as he shouted, "I need some help over here!"
Just then, several members of his team came running over. They each took a different corner of the metal thing and lifted it.
"She's free!" Someone yelled.
Two pairs of hands reached down and grabbed my shoulders. When I opened my eyes, I saw Tyler and the one I think is called Boone, gently pulling me out. Once I was free, Tyler pulled me into his chest and wrapped his arms around me.
I couldn't fight it anymore as the darkness started to take over. As I lost the fight, I heard Boone panic, "What. . . What do we do?"
"We need to get her to the nearest hospital," Tyler said. "Now."
* * * * *
I woke up to a steady beeping. It took a second for my eyes to adjust to the annoying light. The next thing I noticed was the sound of someone pacing back and forth. It hurt, but I turned toward the pacing.
"Y/N," Tyler gasped as he rushed over to the chair next to my bed and sat down.
"Tyler," I said weakly. "What are you doing here?"
"Wait. . . You don't remember what happened?"
I ignored my pounding head as I thought back. "I was on campus. I was leaving the library when. . ." Tears filled my eyes as I finished, "There was a tornado."
I closed my eyes, hoping the tears wouldn't spill down my face. I opened my eyes when I felt Tyler gently take my hand.
"You're okay," he whispered. "You have a couple of broken ribs, but no internal bleeding. Doc says you do have a concussion, though, so they want to keep you another day."
I couldn't look away from him. "You and your team found me," I said slowly.
"I can't take all the credit," he smiled. "We probably wouldn't have found you if you weren't using that tree branch to alert those nearby. That was pretty smart, Ms. Not Impressed. Can I change your nickname?"
"What do you mean?"
"Ms. Not Impressed," he repeated. "I figured. . . hoped that you'd be a little bit impressed now."
Something in his eyes changed. He examined me, scanning my injuries.
"What's wrong?" I asked, my voice soft.
"I keep thinking," he said slowly.
"About?" I gently pushed.
"If we hadn't found you," he whispered. We stared directly into each other's eyes, neither one of us saying anything for a beat. Soon, Tyler continued, "I have to admit something, Y/N. I haven't been able to stop thinking about you."
"Really?" I teased. "Here I was, thinking you'd easily forget about the girl who didn't give you the time of day when we first met."
"Are you kidding?" He teased back. "The one girl who wasn't acting like a crazy fan? It's only natural that she stands out to me. I couldn't help it even if I tried."
"Are you always a flirt?" I teased.
"Only for the special few," he said without hesitating. Suddenly, a thick tension fell in the room. I couldn't look away from Tyler, and it seemed like he couldn't look away from me either. I watched as he reached over and pulled my blanket up more.
"Thank you," I whispered, my voice slightly breaking.
"Y/N. . ."
"Thank you for saving me, Tyler," I cut him off. "And I'm sorry."
"You have nothing to be sorry for," he brushed off, reaching up and moving some hair out of my face.
"Yes, I do," I insisted. "I was a jerk to you when we first met."
"It's okay," he said, slightly shaking his head. "You told me about your adrenaline junkie that you had to bury."
"Still," I sighed. "I didn't have to be such a bitch to you."
"Don't call yourself that," he said quickly. He cleared his throat and slightly readjusted in his seat. He didn't look at me as he said, "I know you don't fall for adrenaline chasers anymore. . ."
"I don't," I cut him off.
"I know," he said quickly. "And I understand but. . . Can't you at least give me a chance?"
"Tyler," I sighed, trying to readjust.
"I'm not as reckless as most adrenaline chasers," he started to quickly list. "We may follow tornadoes, but we know not to get too close. We have plans and backup plans in place. We constantly review them. We have materials and emergency kits. I'm careful, Y/N."
"It only takes once," I cut him off.
"Y/N. . ."
"It only takes one mistake," I said, my voice breaking this time. "And I can't fall for a guy that may never come home to me. Not again."
"Y/N, please."
"I'm sorry, but no," I said, my voice breaking. I shook my head, ignoring the pain in my ribs as I slightly readjusted. "I can't do that, Tyler. I can't open up to you, flirt with you, date you, or anything else. Not when the other woman in your life is chasing."
"Be honest with me," he continued to push. "Are you saying no because you don't like me and don't want to give this a chance? Or are you saying no because of what I do?"
I stared at him, instantly knowing my answer. But I was too afraid to tell him the truth.
"Come on, Y/N," he whispered, scooting his chair a little bit closer to me. "Do you not like me, or do you not like what I do?"
"I know you and your group gather data. I know you and your group help people who lost their homes and towns due to a storm. I know you do a lot of good, but. . ."
"But what?" He gently pushed.
"But I also know that you and your group constantly put yourselves in danger as you gather data and help people," I finished. "Every time you chase after a storm, there is a risk of you not making it home. I can't live with that, Tyler. I can't watch you walk out the door with no idea if you are going to return to me. And you can promise me that you'll be safe all you want, but there is no guarantee."
Tyler leaned over and cut me off by pressing his lips to mine. I tried not to, but I couldn't help but kiss him back. As I started kissing him back, he reached up and gently cupped my face in his hands.
"I could guarantee my return if I stopped chasing," he whispered once he broke the kiss.
"No," I said instantly. "I'm not going to ask you to stop chasing. That wouldn't be fair of me."
"I'm not going to ask you to spend your life worrying I may never come home to you," he said, looking into my eyes.
"See?" I asked, my voice breaking. "There's no win-win here, Tyler. We would never work."
He thought about his response before speaking up. "I don't know what your previous adrenaline junkie did. I don't know what happened that made it so he didn't come home to you. What I do know is that I will do whatever it takes to make it home to you. Please, just give me a chance."
"When he didn't come home," I whispered, "it broke my heart. How do you know you won't break my heart?"
He leaned in and pressed his lips gently back to mine. He didn't give me time to kiss him back before breaking the kiss.
"I would never break your heart, Y/N," he whispered. He playfully smirked as he added, "Especially not after working as hard for your heart as I am."
