You and Shidou are at your house. Much to your enjoyment. It wasn't exactly exactly an option to not have him at your place, but you'd rather die than go over to his place. Probably reeked of sex and just his shitty addictive cologne.

And, if you think the biggest asshole being at your place was the worst thing that ever happened to mankind, him being distracted and glancing around your room isn't in any better.

After the nth time of him glancing about in your room, you snap.

"Can you please focus on the project rather than looking around in my room?" You say, voice laced with annoyance.

"Sorry," he mutters with a simple shrug, "You have anime merch, ya know? I fuck with most of the stuff you have in here."

You pause. No fucking way the Shidou Ryusei, the notorious guy in school digs anime? You thought that popular people like him would hate shit like that? Don't they bully people because of these things?

You, not being able to maintain your excitement, immediately reply, "Wait, really? Holy shit! What animes do you watch?"

He drops the nonchalant facade, a smile forming on his face, "Um, plenty. Recently watch chainsaw man. Super good, actually. You have a Denji funko pop. Guessing you watch the anime, too?"

"Oh my god! Yeah! I love the anime, actually! Who's your favourite character?"

"Denji. Relate to him."

You pause and snicker, "You're a perv?"

"Hey, boobs are boobs?! I'd damn well risk my life for a squeeze, too?"

You burst out laughing, and while you two are supposed to be studying for the upcoming project your teacher assigned, you two spend the next couple of hours talking about animes and merch you've collected.

To your surprise, Shidou was actually a decent guy below that whole "bad guy" persona! He's actually really funny and sweet. Maybe he just acts like that at school or something?

Yadda yadda yadda.

Now it's time for him to leave, but just when when he's about to after the two of you did jack shit. He pauses, turns around, and looks at you with a sly smirk, "Hey. Maybe next time I come over, we can recreate that scene with Power and Denji in the bathroom or whatever? You down?"

You freeze on the spot, mouth slightly agape. You didn't even get to question him on that before he's laughing and leaving, closing the door behind him.

Transitioning is just another extension of consumeristic bullshit. It's not actually an institution that provides you with anything, except that it subjects you to a medical institution that's entire goal is to systematically rob you in exchange for cosmetic procedures that do nothing. It's something I perceive as being more tragic than collecting Funko Pops, which is in and of itself symbolic of the futility of free market ideology. But mostly it's just another scam designed to distract you from your actual problems, which vary from person to person, things like how much sugar you eat, how much alcohol you drink, whether or not you smoke tobacco or not, whether or not you are a drug addict of some sort, or whether or not you have a wide variety of other meaningless consumeristic habits that are counter-productive. Furthermore, and perhaps even more tragic, is that it relies entirely upon the mistaken belief that doctors are somehow gods that can actually jack with your hormones and somehow actually change your biological sex, which is simply nonsensical. People have, frankly, lost their understanding that medicine is a complex tool that solves serious health problem, it is not some toy that enables you to be distracted from the perpetual rot of everything and everyone all the time. transness itself is both the epitome of futile consumerism, and it is additionally a comprehensive misuse and abuse of the institution of medicine, so that dishonest doctors can line their pockets. Lastly, it's not even feminist, it's not feminist because the trappings of femininity and masculinity are inherently bullshit, and willingly engaging with exploitative capitalistic mechanisms is kind of inherently nonfeminist. Secondly, the kind of people who can be tricked into engaging with it as an institution lack a comprehensive awareness of the reality of human history, as it relates to the systematic exploitation of women, and the evil of men, male led institutions, boys clubs, fraternity, which is what "patriarchy" is. In short, anyone subjecting themselves, or being subjected, to the trans institution is merely engaging or being subjected to a new form of patriarchal exploitation, not unlike countless other forms of exploitation, that have been committed against countless people throughout history. And it is especially "amusing" that this institution is explicitly gendered, wearing the guise of feminism, manufacturing bullshit and oppressing people, when the actual purpose of the feminist institution is to eliminate bullshit, create accountability for men, and liberate good people through a comprehensive understanding of the human condition through the lens of sex, and the culture of sex and gender, and how male led institutions either purposefully or accidentally are exploitational, especially towards women.

Mateo: Was originally going to put my funko pop collector headcanon but now I can do a new one >:D I believe Mateo can bake. But like SERIOUSLY bake. Cookies, brownies, pastries, cakes you name it. My dudes creations are awesome and he definitely has a sweet tooth. So does Nancy. And literally most of the crew. They all benefit from it lol

Nancy: Candle addict. Anytime she goes to the mall she HAS to stop in bath and body works. Must acquire the sales. She probably has candles for each season. 

Marjan: I feel like Marjan would for some reason know flower language! She’d immediately be able to tell what flowers meant or how they were given meant.

Paul: I think he loves to decorate. For the love of everything holy don’t let him into an IKEA. Asha once lost him for 3 hours and came back to find 4 new decorations, 7 new kitchen items, 2 fluffy blankets, and a matching ottoman to his couch. 

Judd: He learns how to make sourdough. He needs a hobby to distract himself maybe and now he has a sourdough starter in the kitchen that Charlie named Bubbles.

Owen: He starts volunteering at an animal shelter and/or stables once Mateo moves out. It helps him combat the empty nest syndrome and maybe he gets another dog or two! He’s clearly connected with animals before in the show so I think TK might get part of it from him.

Tommy: She is VERY competitive. Game night gets wild when she joins in and nobody expects it from the normally chill Captain. She also has weirdly good luck so she wins half the time.

I LOVE your headcanons omg!! I love the idea of TK being a great storyteller, and I bet you’re right — Jonah loves to ask his big brother to tell him a story. TK would probably put himself and Carlos and Jonah in the story too! It is so in character for Carlos to sob while watching romantic movies. Maybe one year for their anniversary TK puts together a slideshow or a photo album of all their adventures so far and Carlos just cannot keep it together and cries for like an hour. Yes Mateo can definitely bake — he has the biggest sweet tooth! I can totally see Nancy collecting candles. I feel like she would like some sort of pine scent the best. She probably brings candles into the firehouse and even the ambulance to make it smell good. Marjan knowing what each flower means is so sweet! Maybe Joe loves to give her flowers and she’ll always know what they mean! I’m laughing so much about Asha losing Paul in Ikea and him buying everything. His apartment was really nicely decorated the one time we saw it, so I can totally see him really loving to decorate. He and Owen could bond over interior design. Making sourdough is such a good hobby for Judd! I bet Grace is so impressed with his newfound skill when she comes back home. Everyone from the 126 probably begs him to bring some of his freshly made bread over to the station. Owen should DEFINITELY volunteer at an animal shelter — he would love it! He would for sure end up adopting like two more dogs, haha, but Buttercup would love having siblings! Omg yes Tommy is super competitive — I feel like really everyone at the 126 is. Game nights with the 126 family are always wild and very dramatic, and sometimes enemies are made (but everyone goes back to being friends after a day or two).

It actually saved me money in the long run, but I missed the excitement of the mystery.

With the popularity of blind box art toys now, it shows no signs of slowing down. With brands like Miniso, Hot Toys, Funko or Collectormates in the market, it's clear that this trend is here to stay. Introduction

Hello there, after much thought I decided to give this a shot again. Been a while since I've used this platform and I accidentally deleted my old accounts which is fine as I barely used them anyway. You can call me Highbeam or HB! Friends who know me from Renaissance Festivals usually call me Duchess, and those in the vintage 1940s/50s pinup circuit know me as Lucy. Quick facts and info about me! I became a Twitch streamer in April 2021 and have loved it. Started off with the idea of focusing mostly on Transformers collecting and product reviewing, maybe eventually moving into cooking streams. However I got caught up in gaming in a way I hadn't since I was a young teen back in the day. It started with the Transformers War For Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron games, then I started introducing things like Sea of Thieves and various silly Indie games. Then came my one-year Twitch anniversary in April 2022 when I decided to pull up a bit of nostalgia which I wanted to play back when it came out, but I didn't have the right gear to play it, DOOM 2016. I'm now thoroughly addicted to the game and the lore around it. We'll discuss that in more detail in future posts! I have been active at Renaissance Festivals since first attending one in 1999, but really getting into it when I made my first full outfit in 2003. My happy place is playing a lady of nobility, whether it be my original character Duchess Lucrezia of Spain, or playing as historical characters but with my own unique twists. I also enjoy dressing up as a pirate lass because who doesn't like being a pirate? I have dabbled in a bit of Cosplay at local comic cons, though I've enjoyed creating my own unique 'inspired by' cosplays more than literal portrayals of existing characters. I collect Transformers action figures like crazy. My collection goes back to the early 2000s, but would've gone back to the original G1 if my childhood toys hadn't been lost in a basement flood. I have created 3 original Transformers characters, one being my namesake Highbeam who has a deep story that I hope to one day turn into a spotlight style comic. I also enjoy collecting diecast model cars, select Funko Pops related to my fandoms, I enjoy cooking a lot, and I love to draw. All the graphics I use in my Twitch stream including my emotes were created by me. As briefly mentioned above, I do some 1940s and '50s style vintage pinup too. Nothing risque, all family and event friendly. I particularly enjoy a bit of Hollywood Glam mixed with Cheesecake pinup, something I can elaborate in a future post as well. I've competed in several pinup contests and even got first place in two contests! I have been published in a couple pinup magazines as well. I love dressing in a pinup look to attend car shows and air shows, and have volunteered at various events with and for WWII veterans and original Rosie the Riveters. I'm even in a commercial for Carhartt celebrating hard working women! I think that gives a nice rounded idea of who I am for now and I can go into more depth in future posts. Journal 2- Who Am I?

I am not the kind of person who is confident to write something about herself. I am a mystery of my own self and I like to keep it that way. So, I just decided to tell you about this, anyway this is also a part of who I am today.

I do have a hard time finding myself, but after a series of silent questions while listening to Harry Styles’ music late at night I now have something to share.

This year I found myself liking and loving a lot of new and old things. Yes, I just go over my previous stuff and get obsessed over at it again.

I’m starting to love reading again. I’m not into the genre of romance now but instead, I tried reading horror novels especially the works of Stephen King and I’m falling in love with one of his New Times Bestselling Novels entitled IT. Also, my ultimate favorite for the Young Adult/Romance genre is Jennifer Niven’s All The Bright Places and for the Young Adult/Bildungsroman genre is Benjamin Alire Sáenz’s Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe. I won’t discuss why they are my ultimate favorites but if you read these books you’ll understand why I fell in love with them. I started reading novels when I was in 7th grade and I always tell everyone that reading books helped me survive high school.

Then last December 2020, I became addicted in collecting Funko Pops. In case you don’t know, they are a collection of pop culture characters. They are cute vinyl/bobbleheads figurines. I started collecting the Pop Rocks, specifically the PRINCE line and in less than a week, I completed all the 3 PRINCE Funko Pops. Two weeks ago, I bought a Pennywise Funko Pop just to pair with my IT novel.

Currently I am binge-watching some One Direction concert films and listening to their songs. Oh, how I miss them! I remember enjoying a lot of their merchandises which I begged my mom to buy. When they had concert here in the Philippines last March 2015, I was sad because I wasn’t able to go. I was really hoping I’d get tickets for their concert on my graduation. But luckily, the next year I had a good opportunity to convince my parents to let me go to the 5 Seconds Of Summer concert. It was the best day of my life!

I am forever grateful for these things and people who made me happy and somehow became my inspiration to study harder.

Assuming you mean pop figures, as in the funko things, then yeah! I do! Way too many! But I think I may be slightly addicted to collecting things so I will never stop buying more. It’s a problem because everytime I get into a new fandom, I immediately go looking to see if there are any pops. Getting into the MCU has been a big problem for me.

Have you ever worn those Drunk Goggles? Uh no. I’ve never heard of those either. Which decade before the 90s had the best makeup trends? I’ve never really paid attention to makeup. I do love how actresses looked like in the 40s and 50s though, if that counts. Can you agree to disagree, or usually get upset over conflicting views? I only get upset if someone’s views implies impinging on basic human rights, like saying that women can’t get abortions or if drug addicts deserve to die. Otherwise you do you dude. Why can't politicians debate politely? Because most of them aren’t even supposed to be fucking politicians, if you’re also from where I live. Who is the best female rocker? Why? Joan Jett, partly because she’s one of the very few female rockstars I know but also because I know she’s the best one out of all the ones I know of. I love her work both for The Runaways and the Blackhearts. Can you even taste a difference between Cheez Its and Cheez Nips? I’ve only had Cheez Its. What about between Pepsi and Coke or Sprite and 7Up? No, all soda tastes nasty to me. Do you care what kind of toilet paper you use? Not really. What color of roses do you find the prettiest? Gonna go the basic route and say red. It just feels the most romantic. Which celebrity has the cutest butt? I don’t go looking at their butts and thinking which one is the cutest D: Do you still have any decent arcades nearby? Yeah we have an arcade chain called Timezone and all of the ones I’ve been to are really fun and entertaining. Gab and I will sometimes go to one after school for some stress relief. I love all museums, but I enjoy and appreciate history museums more than any other kind. Have you ever seen an unwrapped mummy in person? I haven’t. What things have people shamed you for? Liking wrestling, mostly. I was also shamed for my name and the way I looked (I had really short hair) as a kid, which is why I struggled to like my name until I got to college which was the first time people didn’t make a fuss about my name and even told me how much they like it. Do you always reply to private messages? (On any website) Not all. If I don’t recognize who sent it, I wouldn’t bother to reply. What device do you seem to always be buying batteries for? We don’t really go out to buy batteries anymore. Most of our gadgets are rechargeable. What's worse -- snow, or all the mud after it melts? Can’t relate. Are there any 'adult stores' in your area? I don’t think so. If there are, they’re hidden enough that I don’t know about them. Have you been inside of them/shopped there before? Yeah we went to one in Metrowalk. It was fun but I mostly felt uncomfortable hahaha. Do you watch The Masked Singer? Any theories? No. Favorite Alfred Hitchcock film? Haven’t watched any. I tried watching Vertigo once but if I remember correctly, I stopped because my copy didn’t have subtitles and I couldn’t follow the plot lol. Do you like Funko Pop figurines? Sure. I’m much less enthusiastic about them now for sure, but back in high school I used to want to start collecting them so bad. If so, do you have any? Which ones would you like to have? No but I’ve bought one as a gift once. I got Gabie the Funko figurine of Dana Scully from The X-Files for Christmas 2015. Which ones do you think they should make (but haven't yet)? I dunno if they’ve made ones for them but the cast of Queer Eye should definitely get their own.

The Fortnite knight

Helo there gamers!

I’m sure you all agree with me that 2017 was an epic gamer’s year! Most of the best games were released in 2017, but today we are going to talk about Fortnite and the good thing with this game is, it has mild violence so it is suitable for young gamers as well. So if you haven’t played Battle Royale by now, do yourself a favor and get the game, it’s a great gunplay you shouldn’t miss. 

The good thing is that you can still play it by yourself but it would be even better if  you find someone else to play with.The first time I played this game I was so hooked and from then on wards I started to build my gaming collection and I bought myself 8 vinyl funko pops:

Welcome to the Wonderful World of Funko!

I attended my first comic con event, Paradise City Comic Con, on Jan. 13, 2018 at the Miami Airport Convention Center. Walking into the convention I really didn’t know what to expect and I was honestly overwhelmed. There were so many new and exciting things for me to explore. My friend, Dania, toured me around the convention while on the search for pops. 

Funko Pops are small vinyl figures designed after pop culture brands such as Disney, Marvel, DC, Star Wars, Game of Thrones, etc. Though I already had purchased a couple because of how adorable they look, I didn’t quite understand how addicting collecting them could be. While browsing through the many booths that were dedicated to pop products, I found some cute ones that I just had to have. 

Ever since then, I began collecting Disney themed pops. My collection has flourished since then, which I currently own 52 vinyl figures. I decided to create a blog dedicated to my collection, my search, and my love for my new hobby. 

Here are some basic terms that will be used often throughout this blog: 

Chase: variant of a regular pop that is released but extremely rare to come across. 

Exclusive: pops that are available at a specific store or event. 

Flocked: pops that have been made exactly the same but furry. 

GITD: glow in the dark. 

Vaulted: not being sold in stores anymore.

24: Do you have a collection of anything?Totally! Things like rocks and gems. Pop Funko figures and little random figures from other things. Video games. Notebooks and sketchbooks. Markers, pencils, colored pencils and pens. And just random little knick-knacks I find any and everywhere.

29: Do you believe in ghosts? How about aliens?I totally believe in ghosts. Like you have no idea. I am addicted to the Paranormal and I would love to go ghost hunting. Their information booklet is definitely one of the best in the business – it explores the theme in the front…

It gives you all of the details on the items in the box along with styling advice…

The Dirty Collar Tie – Value $25

Each month kicks off with a necktie – this month’s tie comes from The Dirty Collar.

The tie is 100% cotton and soft to the touch. It has a worn-in, already washed, feeling to it – which I prefer!

Gentlemen of the North Socks – Value $12

This month includes a pair of socks from Gentlemen of the North. I’m wearing these as I write this review – and it’s starting to be the perfect weather for these socks – they are warm, while still be breathable – it’s really the combination that I look for.

They are an 80/15/3/2 cotton/polyester/spandex/nylon blend. They don’t seem to have anything special in terms of padding around the toes or heel – they feel like a basic dress sock.

B. Elegant Menswear Pocket Square – Value $15

To combine with your new socks and tie, you’ll get this red accent pocket square. This pocket square felt a bit rigid and thin, so it wasn’t my favorite that I’ve received from a subscription – but it can go nicely with these two previous items.

Gentleman Collective Wallet – Value $22

You’ll get a new slimline wallet to fit into that Wall Street theme.

This wallet is very basic – which also allows it to maintain its slimline profile.

It’s made of a black faux leather and can fit a few cards along with some bills on the opposite side.

J. Ciro Cufflinks – Value $75

I couldn’t find this exact design on their shop – but the price ranges from $40-75 for their cufflinks – these seem more inline and similar to their $40 line, but I’ll be going off of the pricing on the card.

These are the highest value item in the box – and I think they’re the highlight and fit so snug with the Wall Street theme!

Wear that Wall Street look on your sleeves with a bull and bear on each cuff.

Verdict: They did an excellent job in sticking to their theme this month – and while the tie was a lower tier value compared to most months, they crushed it with the higher-end cufflinks. At the $25 cost per month, you’re essentially paying for the tie (which is typically over the $25 value by itself) and getting everything else as a bonus. If you wear business attire every day or only need it for special occasions – this is a good way to build out a wardrobe while getting great value for your money.
