"And besides, you don't even need to worry. The 118 isn't participating this time." Hen added.

"Lucky for them. We would've embarrassed every fire station in LA." Eddie high-fived Buck.

"Aren't you being a little too confident?" This time, it was Ravi deciding to join the mix.

"Hey, I scored the fastest time during the firefighter's physical exam, and that was after I shattered my leg." Buck reminded everyone.

"Well, we're not participating so you can keep it in your pants." Hen walked over to the fridge, pulling out a water bottle.

"So, who's getting to participate this time?"

Pulling out his phone, Bobby squinted as he read off the list.

"Well, there's 101, 165, 94, 217…" Bobby went on, listing off several of the stations but Buck's mind got stuck on one very specific fire station. Stuck enough that he forgot the he had water in his mouth that ended up travelling to the wrong pipe. That is, a very embarrassing coughing fit as soon as he heard about Tommy's station.

"Oh lover boy. Did hearing Tommy's station take your breath away." Chimney ribbed.

"Fuck you cough Chim cough cough." The coughing continued for a while with Hen rubbing his shoulders and back.

After his coughing was back in control, he shot off a quick text to Tommy.

Are you in the competition?!?!?

A few beats later, a reply arrived.

So you found out. yes Evan, I am in the competition.

So am I gonna have to rub your back at night.

Buck chuckled to himself, missing Eddie staring at him who screamed.

"BUCK'S TEXTING TOMMY AGAIN."

A series of groans followed which Buck drowned out. He's been getting really good at that.

That night when Tommy and Buck were laying in bed, both of them with heavy eyes, was when he decided to ask him about the competition.

"So, what's with the competition?"

"Well, the harbor is required to send someone in each category. Under 30, we have Jackie. I'm in the under 40 category and our captain Jasmine's going for the over 50 one. I was basically forced to put my name trust me." He yawned, eyes drooping.

"I do." And with that, the both of them fell asleep.

The competitors were given a month to prepare. Buck didn't really see the point, they were firefighters, of course they were always in shape. But Buck wasn't complaining. Mainly for one reason, the amazing view.

Tommy was bench pressing almost half his body weight for reps. Each time he's barely was able to put the weight back, he unloaded the weights and the process began again. Well, to be honest, Buck was just looking at Tommy's broad chest and thick arms.

Competition day came and the space rented was the government was huge. Huge enough that there was even a massive Jumbotron. Tommy had invited Evan and the rest of the 118 to the competition and they were here. The seats were pretty nice too. Buck tucked his surprise in the corner of his arm. Now, he just had to wait.

The first under 30 was amazing, with the contestants showing extreme athleticism. The energy reminded Buck of himself. Clearly the other's did to, all give Buck a 'look'.

Then the main reason for Evan to be here finally came. The under 40. And coincidentally, the camera connected to the jumbotron was moving towards him too. This was so fucking perfect. Pulling out the massive banner labelled 'THE HOT ONE IS MY BOYFRIEND' with several pictures of Tommy. The camera zoomed in to the chart and the crowd roared. It was awesome.

It seemed like the crowd hyping Tommy up really worked because Tommy won his match. Obviously, his boyfriend was the best

So can I request a reader who is yanqing's sibling who plays sympathetic immersia (video game equivalent in Luofu) Genshin that Guinafein introduces them to it, even JY knew the game's hype and reader is immersed with the game's scenery, music and archon quests Reader also would blush every time they see genshin fanart of Wanderer or Xiao. Yanqing and JY would notice how they would look down and grin widely in their phone screen. Also the early AR shenanigans like unlocking dragonspine, trying to ice bridge to Inazuma and getting yeeted by a hilichurl and ofc the infamous dendro slime attacking when exploring Liyue. Overall, reader plays it and YQ is curious and JY is interested

Jing Yuan's heard of the game before however it wasn't until he heard you yelling in delight over a 5* you had gotten that he found out you were one of the many people that also has a delight in playing the game.

He's amused to see how much you like certain characters and how you, in your words, "simp" for others. In fact, I honestly think you probably did the "My parents rate Genshin Characters" trend with him. He ranked most of the characters very highly honestly. (He especially liked Cyno along with some of the sleepy characters like Lisa, Layla and Sayu)

Honestly he's very amused by all your reactions throughout the game, the audible gasps you may do when something surprises you, the loud cursing when you're fighting an enemy and the cries when you lose your 50/50 (maybe if you ask nice enough he'll give you his credit card)

I'd think he wishes to try out the game himself, however with the fact he's busy with General duties he doesn't get much time to really play. However he does get all the characters he wants with just a swipe of his card, however he's stuck at level 45 as a) no time to really continue and b) he honestly seems like the type to not bother with the ascension mission and in fact wants it to build up till he knows he's AR 60. THEN he'll actually do it.

Overall, he doesn't mind that you play it and enjoys it himself when he can. However don't expect him to be so willing to give you his card so you can get the Genesis Crystals to get the characters you want.

(Also I see his team consisting of off-field dps like Xiangling and Furina so he can just sit back and relax as they do the fighting and he doesn't need to lift a finger much)

I feel like Yanqing was already a player. Like he joined when it was first released but he didn't really play much. He'd log in once or twice a week then not log in for months. It's not that he isn't interested, he is. It's just he has things he enjoys more.

When he finds out you play it then he might be more inclined to try harder at it, so the two of you can do some sibling bonding time and play. Depending on AR levels between the two of you, he's either asking you to help defeat bosses when he still cannot after the nth time or you both can cry as you die to the electro hypostasis.

I feel like his luck is like, amazing as well. Like he got Keqing on the beginner banner and managed to get a good 5* weapon for her on the standard. And he's always won his 50/50s

However his luck cannot be transferred to how his artifact luck is. It takes his weeks upon weeks to get ONE decent artifact for his new 5* Ayaka.

He still doesn't play much but his game time has increased a lot more and he can understand why you like it so much...however he cannot understand why you seem to like certain characters and beg him to get you merch of them for your birthday.

He definitely struggled in DragonSpine and thought pyro and cryo characters were immune to sheer cold.

Overall, he understands a lot where you're coming from when it comes to gameplay and lore but when it comes to you simping over certain characters then he can't help but feel confused, and if he particularly dislikes a character you simp for. Perhaps disgusted (jokingly and lovingly of course)

(I'm unsure what his team would be, but he'd be a mono sword team imo)

Honestly, with my personal experiences with Genshin. I thankfully did not struggle with DragonSpine (not as much as other people did)

Phew... Now that the three day boycott has come to an end I finally decided to pull on the [Tomorrow's Catch-22] limited-time banner. To the steadfast hunters who also participated in solidarity-- you did well in exercising self-restraint~ Hopefully that will send a message to the gaming company to respect their player base a bit more!

This is the first multi-character banner where I didn't feel the desire to rank up every memory to R1 in order to obtain all of the alternate colors. The base outfit from Fantasy Blessing was enough for me, along with the R0 memory for their respective collection. I'll just wait until this banner has a rerun to get the ones that I am missing.

As always I pulled for Zayne first, where I lost the 50/50. Fortunately it was to Caleb's memory for this banner so I wasn't even upset, as I was going to be pulling for his memory anyway. Both of them took their sweet time coming home with 60+ pulls.

After Zayne I pulled for Xavier next. It still took me 60+ pulls, but I won the 50/50!

Soft Pity: Deluded Fiction (65)

I selected Rafayel for my next precise wish after Xavier. Like the other two love interests it took 60+ pulls before he decided to come home, beating the 50/50!!

Soft Pity: Extreme Dose (63)

By this time I have made 253 pulls on this banner. I could have ended it here by using the Revelry Crate (200 pulls reward) from Fantasy Blessing, but then I would have missed out on other rewards for one of the love interests...

In order to obtain thee last two rewards from Fantasy Blessing I needed to make 22 more pulls for the Rhapsody Crate (275 reward) for the final outfit with an additional 10 pulls on top of that for the Untamed Crate (275 reward) for the final hairstyle.

And so, I continued pulling.

Zayne surprised me in the next 10x pull I did after selecting Sylus for my final precise wish. This unexpected rank up unlocked his alternate color, which I was not going to complain about ahaha. It was a very pleasant surprise ♡

This meant Sylus would arrive sometime during my hard pity. I could have just done 10x more pulls and be done with it, but I was stubborn and wanted to pull his memory in order to use the free crate to R1 another memory. Once again, it took 60+ pulls.

I stopped pulling after obtaining Sylus's [Innocent Birdcage] since I pulled Caleb's [Tainted Cuts] earlier. By the end of everything it took me made 231 pulls to get all of the memories from this banner, with a surprise R1 for Zayne.

Oh, I decided to open my crate to R1 Caleb's memory for a few reasons:

He doesn't have that many memories available for combat at this time.

Ranking up a 5-Star Memory will give 750 affinity points -- that's a lot of points!

Collecting another outfit for Caleb will give 250 points! Closer to his 100 ring...

Caleb is my borderline main/hot #2 favorite, so of course I'm gonna spoil him.

HUGO VLAD IS HOMEEEEE and my luck was INSANE

I literally SCREAMED, I won two 50/50s in a row and two 75/25s in a row. I'm still in disbelief.

I only had 170 pulls, 60 pity, and a dream. No guarantee. I couldn't believe I won the 50/50 on Hugo, much less Lighter, and at ABOUT 35 PITY TOO. Left me with 40 pulls leftover when I thought I'd have NOTHING left over.

I'd already decided to do the smart thing and try for Lighter before Hugo's wengine despite wanting it a lot, and after winning two 50/50s in a row I decided even if I lost on Hugo's wengine I was not gonna be mad. And um, yeah I won the wengine. Twice. First double I've ever gotten outside the bangboo banner. When I tell you I screamed throughout this whole thing...

I honestly didn't think this was possible. I was already despairing about how this was gonna go because I'm f2p and haven't had time to grind much in games lately. I was thinking at best I could probably guarantee Hugo and his wengine as long as I won the 75/25 on it. But I really wanted all three, and I got all three + another copy of hugo's wengine (idk what to do with it now but I'm NOT complaining). It feels like a balm to help make up for all my rotten gacha luck in the past :')

also this is my first time ever playing hugo and he is SO darn fun (and beautiful and amazing and ahsdkshdsjdhs). I'm still learning how to play this team but it's already a BLAST. I literally couldn't be happier. This whole thing made my day.

Pretty happy with his build too. Since nobody was sure about his BiS disc set I prefarmed three x2 sets and called it a day.

I think Lighter's is serviceable considering I spent most of my time prefarming for Hugo and didn't have much time left to farm for Lighter. Of course I'll be working on improving both their builds but I'm pretty much a newbie at ZZZ and I can tell you for sure my builds in Genshin were nowhere NEAR this good when I was a newbie at that looool.

Anyways I'm thinking of making a YT short about my incredible pulls so maybe I'll get that posted later, we'll see :D

Anaxa's banner finally released and I won the 50/50 and got Anaxa. Then I tried my luck and actually got his Light Cone! I was so ridiculously happy that I went ahead and started the Divergent Universe and Anaxa was just killing everything. This man was hypercarrying me. As much as I love using Dan Heng IL, I may have finally found a character to replace him with. Now, I just need to find better relics for both so they can do stupid damage.

I also want to build Aventurine and Bailu better. Both characters are lvl 80 and have their signature Light Cones with their talents maxed. Maybe I could also do the same for Sunday after I get his Light Cone next time.

Son of Gorgo is finally here!

After waiting for weeks for Mydei to be released, he's finally here. I've saved up a little over 300 pulls just for him cuz I planned on getting his signature light cone as well. I was both at 50:50 for both character and light cone but I was already at pity 60 on character banner cuz I was a little intrigued with The Herta just because of her treasure-finding compass gimmick (good thing I didn't keep pulling lol).

Fortunately last night I got his character right away but had to lose on the light cone to freaking Clara again... I've had enough of her light cone, it's already at S4 ffs stop coming homeeee!

If it weren't because I won my 50:50 on the character banner, I wouldn't be left with decent saving for Castorice. Her banner is coming up next so I have to prepare some fund.

Last night I also got Yanqing's light cone from the standard banner. I wasn't paying attention on the pity but I was already around 70-ish. All in all, I got a lot of 5* last night. And I'm glad I still have enough left for Castorice.

YANDERE AETHER AND LUMINE IDEAS pt.2

Okay, I know I wrote one, but if I had an idea, I’ll write it.

- All right, we know that the Traveler has the teapot and everything else, but let’s specify in a specific AU. Basically, with the Traveler knowing that he is in a game and knowing the “player”.

- Imagine that Aether or Lumine know about Gacha’s system, and they watch you try to get all the possible characters, the two share the adrenaline and excitement when their 5 stars arrive. And when do you lose the 50/50? Wow, they are also very discouraged, but sometimes they are happy about it.

- Like when you praise a character more than you should, no matter the genre, the two would be absurdly jealous. Lumine would do her best to modify Gacha’s system so that you lose your 50/50 to the character she hates the most, maybe this way you learn not to have your eyes on someone else!

Aether, he would already let you win the 50/50, but Aether would be praying inside for you to lose your 50/50. He tries to hide the emotion when you lose the 50/50, but he is so relieved! But and when do you win? He is refusing to accept this, making the Boss of your favorite character more difficult and worsening the artifacts and ascension materials. It gets so much worse that you even give up on improving the character!

- Aether and Lumine saw that you had entered the game, you were nothing special, you were not the hidden God or something like that. It was just you appearing in one of the missions with your vision and helping in what the Traveler needed.

- Imagine their joy when they found out that your Banner was approaching, they both explored all Teyvat in search of gems, did all the missions and gathered all the money possible to ensure you, damn, there is even a space in the teapot just dedicated to you and that’s where they will make their wishes.

- Imagine their sadness and look they would do to any character after the loss of 50/50, they are staring at whoever it is (Dehya, Qiqi, Keqing, Tighnari, Mona, Diluc, Jean..) with hatred for having lost the 50/50.

- At least they are on the guarantee, to say that they were anxious when they saw the golden light is a joke, because they would both run to catch you when you magically fell from the sky, hugging you and smiling a lot. They would give you the best weapons and the best possible artifacts!

- Normally, we can use the characters we won in the Banner, but here it wouldn’t work that much because some get busy. But you? Who said you’re busy? No, you’re not! You will travel entire Teyvat with them <3
