So I want to make homemade pins, out of the plastic rings that you'd usually find on cupcakes (or as an alternative to Trick or Treat candy). It's something that I've been wanting to do for a while now, and I really want to try it.

I have the rings that I want to make into pins as a test run (as shown above). And if they work, I want to do this to the other plastic rings that I have on hand.

I choose some basic pin blanks (with backings), and I'll be grabbing them soon. But I haven't decided what adhesive to use on them. I'll list the options I'm deliberating on under the cut below.

The main options I'm debating on are either a gel super glue or UV resin. E6000 is another option I could use, but I'll explain why I'm hesitant to use that one in a bit.

On one hand, with the gel super glue, I could easily adhere the pin blanks to the plastic itself and I know how to use it. But on the other hand, the glue might not stay for long. However the only super glue that I've tested for longevity is the type with a more watery consistency.

With the UV resin, I've never actually used it before (nor do I have anything related to resin stuff yet). So I'm not sure how well it could be used as an adhesive. I've seen other people use it for shrinky dink or clay pins, but not to secure the actual pin back to whatever the person is using as the visible pin part.

With the E6000 glue, I've never used it before and I have done research on it (for an unrelated project a few years back). The main thing that I'm hesitant on is the fumes. I know that it has to be used in a well-ventilated area, and I would have to use a mask. I'm incredibly hesitant on this specific material because I have asthma. There are other reasons why I have this hesitancy, but it's mostly related to said asthma.

I've probably been over thinking this entire detail about what adhesive to use, but I'd want these pins to last. Those are the main three options that I'm mulling over, but it's those first two that I'm seriously considering. I'm also thinking about the option to have some fabric on the actual backs of the pins, in between the visible parts and the backs, but that might introduce more problems.

I'm not actually sure about the small details such as these, because I've never made any homemade pins before. I've made Perler Bead magnets in the past, but I'm not sure how much of the knowledge I've learned from doing that could carry over to these homemade pins.

RPG Bingqiu Au

Ok, so what if Bingqiu died at Mai Gu Ridge. (Shen Qingqiu didn't get to self save and Luo Binghe did destroy Xin Mo (or killed himself after Shen Qingqiu died idk)) but instead of just being dead, they got transmigrated together.

My vision for this would be some dnd esc world with different classes, species, monsters, quest and, of course, cool lore.

Now, obviously, since they aren't aloud to have good things (at least in the beginning) Luo Binghe and Shen Qingqiu are not put together/know the other one is in the same world. I imagine Shen Qingqiu ends up saving some poor soul (who just so happened to be Luo Binghe) who seemed to have chosen a class they didn't know how to use.

Luo Binghe (at first) chooses a class to honor Shen Qingqiu and picks either a only magic class, a scholarly type class (this isn't dnd so I'm making this up!) or some form of bard (simply because Qing Jing Peak did teach music). This probably wouldn't be too much of a problem... if he still had the protagonist halo. (Tbh it would still be a problem since that's not lbh's style of fighting but things would be easier)

Shen Qingqiu ends up convincing this stranger (lbh) that they should switch to a class that suits them. The only problem is that he's going to be starting from nothing so it'll be dangerous for him to travel alone! Sqq decides that he'll travel with this person to make sure they don't get into any danger!

And to distract himself from the loss of the man he loved in his previous life

I imagine after tons of shenanigans, quests and miscommunication they realize who the other is

Also, I think it would be amazing if the system gave both of them new names for their next lives. Luo Binghe's new name would be Romeo and Shen Qingqiu’s would be Juliette... he goes by Lee

I'm planning on drinking boozy hot chocolate and bingeing s6 of wwdits tonight once the sun goes down. I probably won't put most of my liveblogging in the main tags (they probably don't need the additional spam rn) but I'll probably use my usual "nandermo tag"/"wwdits tag" combo if you want to block it.

in that weird place where I didn't particularly enjoy a lot of s5 but I still have mild hopes for s6 and I do feel a compulsion to watch the (apparently very complicated) ending live tomorrow. for old time's sake.

but alright screw it, just to set the record straight: i loved Big Time Rush lots and lots, that much is obvious. the nick show itself was such an integral part of my childhood, and i absolutely have no regrets about rediscovering the band last 2020 and diving in headfirst right into the deep end *Hot Summer by Heffron Drive starts blasting out* of their music and inevitably joining the fandom. i'm especially forever thankful for all the interesting experiences and fun projects and amazing friends i've made along the way, so i'm sincerely always going to have a certain fondness for BTR in the deepest crevices of my vv heart and soul.....

although yes, certainly *that* whole situation and other such related unfortunate controversies had kinda soured it to the point where i got uncomfortable calling myself a rusher—but that ultimately wasn't what made me fall out, it was just plain 'ol ✨burnout✨ idk keeping up with the fandom just got a little bit too hectic and way too toxic for me, so i moved on to other things better for my peace of mind. anyway, i'm mostly into cool J-pop stuff and ofc my most beloved svensk pojkband FO&O nowadays (also for language-learning purposes hehe :^D) and tbh these have been so incredibly wonderful and healing for me.....but i confess, i still kinda miss BTR and check in on them from time to time. hell, i even have a whooole bunch of chaotic BTR ocs that casually live rent-free in my mind now and forever and i'm constantly tempted to return to this rotting blog just so I can endlessly infodump lore abt them but i'm Annoying™ and who'd want that anyway soooo ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

so yes, i do love Big Time Rush. despite everything, i still like the show and the music, i like all the silly wacky unhinged creations and nostalgic memories i have of it, i like the fandom generally and seeing notifs still pop up on this inactive blog as the ever-faithful rushers continue to thrive and be inspired by the band and its legacy (shoutout to all the new-wave tumblrushers hehe i see u guys much love and hugs and i hope y'all keep up all the fun vibes and creativity here mwah xoxo (⁠*⁠＾⁠3⁠＾⁠)⁠/⁠～⁠♡), and i really don't wanna allow anything to ruin all those good feelings i got from them, even if that means being critical and letting go of certain aspects. i don't have to love everything about it, really. just enough for me is hopefully enough ❤️‍🩹
