This got longer than I expected so I'll put it under a cut! Maybe I'll reblog this every so often to add on if I think of more

Favorite pizza topping headcanons based on nothing but vibes

Leo: spinach and feta, sometimes those red pepper flakes too

Raph: pepperoni, black olive and onion

Don: Hawaiian* (Every family has one. The others boo him but he sticks to his guns)

Mikey: pepperoni, sausage, bell pepper, sometimes garlic and bacon bits

Favorite fruits based on mostly vibes except Leo's

Leo's favorite is canonically apples. He probably slices them with his katanas every time to look cool. If he wants to treat himself he might dip them in cinnamon sugar

I feel like Raph would just house a whole watermelon or a pumpkin for himself (and probably spit the seeds at Mikey to annoy him whenever he thinks Splinter won't catch him)

I headcanon Don with a big sweet tooth so he'd probably like the prepackaged fruits saturated in the sugary syrups like canned peaches and mandarin orange cups

Mikey's tastes are changeable so he may not have a favorite but he does like to test his tolerance by trying all the most sour fruits he can get his hands on. He may even add citric acid to go even further beyond. He's definitely sprinkled citric acid on his brothers' fruits as a prank and told them it was sugar (Don and his sweet tooth will forever hold a grudge for that)

Raph: mint chip with a ton of extra mini chocolate cups (bro was very clear yelling before the ice cream run in The Ultimate Ninja that he wanted mint chip)

Don: cherry chocolate chip, usually plain but occasionally whipped cream or other fruits like blueberries or raspberries

Mikey: spumoni, with every topping ever. Sprinkles, nuts, chocolate chips, extra cherries, cream, syrups, you name it. No one knows how he manages to fit it all in the bowl

I wrote a whole fic about Mikey making his brothers' favorite pick-me-up chocolates, also based on vibes

Leo: milk chocolate hazelnut truffles

Raph: extra dark chocolate mint cups with a dash of honey

Don: milk/dark chocolate cherry almond cordials (sprinkles optional)

I'm still undecided for Mikey's favorite chocolate as of writing

*A few of their "controversial" food opinions to bicker about based solely on vibes

Leo: Likes black licorice and licorice-like flavors such as anise and black jelly beans. Likes rice and fish but not sushi (he and Don have extensive debates about this logic). Insists the shape of pasta noodles influences the flavor. Finds the Oreo cookie better than the filling. Thinks cheesecake is overrated.

Raph: Don't even get him started on the "right" way to cook a burger or steak or any sort of barbecue. French fries don't need any condiments. Edge brownie > center brownie any day. Liked pumpkin spice before it was cool and is very annoyed that it's now considered basic and stereotypy.

Don: Pineapple on pizza, as mentioned above. Thinks bacon is overrated but he's learned not to say that in Raph and Mikey's presence. Ketchup on scrambled eggs. Creamy peanut butter > crunchy. Cilantro tastes like soap only to him and he's exasperated that he's the only one

Mikey: Will go to bat for candy corn. Insists candy corn pumpkins taste different from regular candy corn but he'll defend them both. Milk goes in before cereal, he likes it more when it's soggy (Raph will try to steal and eat it before it can get soggy so the rest of the household doesn't have to watch it sit and soak)

What do you want to bet Mikey has such a steel stomach because when they were kids his brothers pulled the "Bet you won't lick that. Bet you won't put that in your mouth lol" and he was like "Oh, yeah? Watch this" and then they all panicked because "Wait, no, you weren't supposed to actually swallow it!!" And then they didn't learn their lesson and did it again, rinse and repeat until his digestive system is ironclad

Would a Heimlich maneuver work with their hard plastrons? If it does, they probably learned how to do it at an early age thanks to Mikey

I'm sure at least once someone has pointed at an unidentified object all "What's that?" and he's popped it in his mouth to find out. (I may or may not have done this before myself but it turned out fine, I'm fine :D)

I have a problem

I'm falling on the rabbit hole of the batfamily, most espeficially the x reader fanfics and headcanons, and it's turning into a hyperfixation that's consuming me. I'm not even joking, i've been these two last days obsessively writing in my mind a full au of yandere!batfam x neglected!reader (yes, it's the most common and everyone has seen it already but HUSH). I hate my brain. I'm not even that deep into the dc universe, haven't been in several years. I'm team Marvel ffk

The worst part is that it's not even a deeply defined plot, like my current proyect. I just have the vibes and random scenarios and headcanons about the mc, and a bunch of cliches from all the batfam x neglected! reader put together in a mix. My arcane playlist isn't helping either. And recently I've played Watch Dogs Legion again and it's only giving me inspiration for this au.

So warning: Maybe I'll post a few things about this to get it out of my brain, because I can't be the only one suffering here. Don't worry to those who follow my other writing, I have no intention of abandoning it (not when I have already everything planned), but it's going to take slower than anticipated.

Another sigh left his mouth, this time more of a surrender, since how could he argue with a pregnant woman? He rubbed his face before pulling the blanket away from his body "alright, alright..guess I can't argue with the baby"

For a name, I'd simply go with Billie. Is it simple? Yes. But the alliteration is fun and the simplicity is useful. I don't want to have to find a name that matches perfectly, okay?

Billy as a girl would be very interesting, mostly because of her position in the world bring just so different. So, we'll break her down in two parts.

Mortal form: that's a homeless little girl. If Billy is unsafe as a boy, she's certainly unsafe now. Being a young girl wandering the streets would put her in more perceived danger than her male counterpart.

I'd say she'd probably be even more distrusting of others than her male version. And possibly more mean or aggressive. When you're a ten year old girl, by yourself, you learn very quickly that kindness is perceived as weakness, and that being perceived as weak is dangerous.

She'd still be naturally kind, of course. She's kind unconsciously, it's simply in her nature. But when she's thinking, she tries to come off as "strong".

Champion Form: that's a goddess warrior lady. That's basically Wonder Woman in a new suit.

She might end up with a reputation for being a kinder, sillier Wonder Woman. Just as strong, but somehow less intimidating. She's still built incredibly. Just has an aura of love and joy.

She takes her mother's face.

For his name, I'd choose a name that's also incredibly common and begins with M. It's a toss up between Marcus and Max. I think "Marcus Marvel" keeps the OG energy better.

This is an upper class white man. For all I talk about my indigenous!Batsons headcanon, it isn't canon. That's an upper class white boy.

I think the mental image of this rich white boy running around with two homeless girls sounds terrifying. There is a definite power imbalance here.

For this reason alone, I think it makes more sense if Marcus is trusted slightly less in this version, at least by GB!Freddy. Especially when they all meet. Later? Inseparable. But at the start there is an air of distrust.

Obviously, he can't continue mocking people for losing to "just a little girl", like Mary does, but I think he does mock people for losing to a child more than anyone else.

It's worth noting that Mary is a very traditionally feminine character. She likes dresses and flowers and shopping. I think this would carry over to her male incarnation.

I feel like, for all his privilege compared to the other two, he's experiencing bullying in his own right from being a feminine presenting man. In the 40s, especially, this would be a recipe for disaster. He doesn't have to be queer for this to work.

Name wise, there are so many options here. However, I will go with Frida Raine Freeman. Freddy, as a diminutive of Frederick, means "peaceful ruler". Frida means "peaceful" and "Raine" means lady or queen. I think she'd only go by Frida, though.

Frida would, like Billie, be more distrusting than her male counterpart. I think it would be a reasonable response, given how vulnerable she would be.

After all, this girl would be a missed paycheck away from prostitution.

A lot of homeless girls have to turn to sex work in order to survive. That is the simple reality of the world we live in. I can imagine that a gender bent Freddy would have at least brushed against the field before getting her job selling papers.

I think she would also maintain her slightly dated fashion. She'd have incredibly long hair, something that stopped being fashionable in the twenties, and wear much longer skirts. This would keep people away from her, at least a little bit.

The skirt might also serve the purpose of hiding her leg.

Freddy, in his older comics, is actually seen flirting with girls. And I think Frida would also flirt with people in the same way. A kind of childish crush/first love vibe.

I do think that she may do it more subtly. There's a slight stigma our general culture puts on girls flirting, where the pursuit is a man's job and women that flirting are promiscuous in some way.

I do think that Frida would be the most affected by gender stereotypes. Mostly because Freddy is shown to struggle with society too. He's a disabled Jewish kid. He is repeatedly shown getting beaten by people simply for being in their vicinity. Especially with the 40s run where all his villains are Nazis except Sivana Jr. And so I think she'd conform the most, largely out of self preservation.

Just a girl trying to not die.

In her Capt. Marvel Jr form, she has a shorter skirt, and her hair is tied in two long plaits. Think, Mary but blue with plaits.

I've always imagined what their life would be like if they happened to share a house and how their dynamics would play out, so I'll set the scenario based on your request.

❧ The LaDs Men as Friends - Shared house edition

He's the loudest—always getting on everyone's nerves with his antics and pouty demands. Rafayel will block the bathroom for hours with his extensive baths and beauty routines: Since he's basically a fish on land, he's super cautious about keeping his skin hydrated.

Imagine him opening the bathroom door in a bathrobe, with a face mask on and a bowknot keeping his purple bangs off his forehead, as he yells at the other guys: ''I'm gonna burn y'all in your sleep if ya don't stop knocking on the damn door!!'' Then he slams the door shut, locks it again, and puts his Airpods on full blast, while the others continue to desperately hammer against the bathroom door, needing to use the toilet.

Rafayel pretends to be annoyed by everyone in his household and murmurs''These silly humans...'' while also using his evol and wielding his dagger to protect his friends without hesitation whenever they run into trouble. Though they get on his nerves sometimes, he wouldn't want it any other way.

Xavier is in a constant catfight with Rafayel for always eating his cheesesticks behind his back. In general, he's the one who constantly empties the fridge and eats everyone's snacks and food. Even Zayne can't help but let out an exasperated sigh, pinching the bridge of his nose in disbelief, when he finds another empty cookie package in the cabinet—for the third time this week. And its only Tuesday.

Whenever Xavier isn't busy snacking, his friends usually find him either reading a book or napping in the most unusual places around the house, giving them daily heart attacks. Once, Sylus almost spilled his drink when he tripped over Xavier's sleeping form, curled up on the soft, fluffy carpet in the dimly lit hallway. ''Uhh... I'm not quite sure how I ended up sleeping on the floor... it just looked so comfy here and the stairs to the bedroom seemed like too much effort…'' He rubs his neck sheepishly and gets up with a yawn, while Sylus taps his foot impatiently, shaking his head at the silver-blond.

Definitely the ''mom'' of the friend group. He takes care of everyone's well-being while occasionally cracking one of his dry jokes, causing an awkward silence in the room. Surprisingly, nobody feels called out when he scolds his friends for eating too much junk food or staying up too late. ''Rafayel, where are your slippers? The floor is cold—at least wear some socks.'' And the Lemurian? He rolls his eyes and mumbles something under his breath but eventually gets up to grab some socks from his room.

Zayne always has an open ear for his friends. Whenever someone needs to get something off their chest, they approach the Doctor, and he genuinely tries to comfort them. ''Xavier… I don't think Sylus hates you for accidentally poisoning him with your tiramisu. However. Make sure to remember that dishes with raw eggs need to be refrigerated…''

He's the one who would probably get along with everyone, giving off protective big-brother vibes. He mostly watches his friends quietly from the background with an amused smirk, shaking his head at Rafayel causing a scene over someone spilling his paint, Xavier serving a suspicious-looking tiramisu, or Zayne gathering the others laundry from the floor with a frown. ''Doc, are you sure you want to touch that? I remember seeing the fish doing... unholy things with those socks.'' Sylus says with a mischievous grin, earning a dead stare from Rafayel. ''Hold up! I did WHAT?!''

He just loves teasing these idiots.

But Sylus is also the life of the party and always up for a night out with his friends. The guys had a blast at the karaoke bar once when Sylus was drunk enough to wholeheartedly sing Miley Cyrus' Wrecking Ball. Of course, Rafayel recorded the whole show and teased him the next morning while the silver-haired man had the worst hangover ever. ''Listen, Fish... I'm adding a cat to this household if you don't delete that NOW!''

Skrimm - has an account on most platforms, but hardly posts on any of them. Likely has a private instagram or private Twitter he uses mostly to complain or make fun of his friends. Doesn't post at all on tiktok, but knows a few too many niche references to pretend he doesn't use it. Prefers shorts or reels but ultimately doesn't doomscroll as often as you'd think.

Queenie - has an account on most platforms like Skrimm, except she does post on a few of them. Mostly her tiktok and Instagram. She posts beekeeping videos and gardening tips, and people love her for her southern charm and raunchy sense of humor. Occasionally posts a hunting video with a really clickbait-y title for fun. Has a Tumblr!

Taishen - has a personal tiktok account he never posts on, and a Serenitea account thats almost entirely managed by Mei Li at this point. In turn, he runs his Facebook like the navy, ALWAYS updating it with new blends and all the fun he's having abroad.

Barnabos - only has Facebook and Twitter, only uses Facebook to keep track of his sailing buddies and Twitter to keep track of Skrimm. Only posts to reply to people, or to post ridiculously dangerous photos of sea monsters he's fighting

Jornir - barely knows how to use his camera app. If he has any social media, it's entirely Queenie's fault, and he never posts on it himself. If you look at his gallery it's full of pictures of birds, plants, the most gorgeous candid landscape shots you've ever seen, and blurry pictures of his friends. He has 4 photos of himself in there: one stealthily taken by Queenie, one properly taken by Taishen, and two accidental selfies that he hates. Has a Tumblr... Which is again Queenie's fault

five favorite Gale headcanons you use in your fics

Ooh tough question! Thank you for asking 🥰

It's tough mostly because I spend so much time working on the fic I can forget the headcanons are mine alone - they might be supported by the canon, but they don't belong to it. These are the first five I could think of, there are more (Chosen stuff, Morena stuff) and I'm working on some post-game thoughts as well.

Gale is demi (sexual and romantic). Can of worms, I know, mostly because the definitions for demi vary wildly. I do think he can latch onto someone pretty fast - we see it happen in Act 1, and I don't just mean his ridiculously easy approval numbers - but the latching has to happen before he will feel any real attraction. Once he does, though, you can become a tentacled monster and he's still all about it. I hc his pre-Mystra relationships as few in number, intense, and short-lived due to his narrow focus on work/magic.

Gale is switch and vers. Once he gets going he does not hold back; he is inquisitive, creative, and passionate, he doesn't want to be limited in his options. I don't think he'd like pain play, and I think at first he might be bad at communicating boundaries as a sub given his desire to please. I've given this one extra thought because I've noticed most headcanons correspond to personal preference - it's easy to justify Gale being a dom if that's what gets your motor running, for example. My personal preference leans more in that direction, but based on his *waves hands* whole vibe, I think he'd be switchy.

Gale can play the piano in his tower; in fact he's pretty good. He had a brief flirtation with music composition before he gave up in disgust, realizing he was only moderately good at it. Moderately good is not acceptable.

Gale doesn't like to cook for only himself. He enjoys cooking for others - both in the sense of enjoying feeding people and as a performance, which he will of course do his best to nail - but if he's home alone he's eating the Faerun equivalent of PBJ and cleaning the crumbs off his scrolls afterward (obv I am an American, pls insert your local quick and easy food here lol).

This one just came up in the last posted chapter - I headcanon that the orb is connected to the crown and the stones (this is barely a reach, the orb is canonically a battery that powers the crown) and Gale can feel this connection. The way I write the orb is that it has worked its way through his entire body, plugging itself into his nervous system, which is why he can trade impulses with it (when he wants, it wants, and vice versa). The direct link between orb and crown will continue to appear in various ways throughout Act 3.

hi, i just wanted to drop in and ask if you know of any other blogs that post hp meta/discussion that are also very jkr critical? i love everything you write, but many of the other blogs i find when perusing tags are... questionable. its kind of a requirement for me to know that the people posting hp on my timeline don't hate trans people so if you know of anyone else who meets that criteria, i'd love to be linked!

Okay. Now the last thing I want to do is write a callout post (or the opposite of a callout post? A call-in post?) BUT. I do also know that this site can be hard and frustrating to use before you've built up a good follower list for yourself. I know it was definitely rough for me there at the beginning, when I first exploring HP tumblr.

So, this is not meant to be a comprehensive list, this is me going through my recent reblogs and DMs, and if anyone feels they should be on the list (or wants to be taken off the list - people use their fandoms to have a good fun chill time, and I respect that. Having a good fun chill place to exist is unbelievably important.)

But I would say these are are blogs who regularly write meta about Harry Potter that is primarily rooted in the books, while remaining critical of the books in way that I enjoy, and are some combination of funny, earnest, and academic (and drama-free, that's a big one.) I haven't gone and background checked them all or anything, but these are people who I've either had good, meaty conversations with in the DMs, have publicly posted about disagreeing with JKR and her political views, or that I've just followed for a while without any problems. Or some combo of the above.

As I'm sure some of the people on this list will tell you, we *definitely* interpret the books differently and have different headcanons, but their style of interpretation is one that fits with the kind of experience I want to have.

Their last post was a link to their new Sirius/Fanon Sirius one-shot - which was so sweet, clever, and well-written. Which I think is very much their vibe. I massively enjoy their "Harry Potter Characters in Therapy" series.

@pangaeaseas - a really fun follow. They post a lot, they're funny and their ideas are unique, original, and sometimes totally off the wall. It's like they keep throwing out fun little bookclub prompts/discussion starters, and then we all have a really nice time.

@its-the-allure - lovely, and my intro into some really fun, chill fandom communities. @etl-echo-audiobooks is fantastic, they do live readings of fic of their discord and then turn them into audio books. Did one of my metas once! Also they're currently running a Drarry fest, I snagged a prompt but there are plenty left.

@the-phoenix-heart - has been a mutual for a while. Their original stuff is mostly art, when it comes to text-based stuff they're more of a commenter and reblogger. But they're a GREAT commenter and reblogger. They know their stuff, and I would feel weird leaving them off the list.

@blorger - always has an interesting take, especially when it comes to worldbuilding, and they always do their research and cite their sources. Their last post was all about debunking the popular fanon that the non-Snape teachers are really prejudiced against Slytherin as a whole. Also, great fic reccomender.

@360degreesasthecrowflies - probably the most political blog on this list, which they would definitely agree with. What I really love about them is the way they're willing to go into historian mode, and find and repost some really excellent HP Meta originally written for Livejournal. I was never on Livejounal, so all this stuff is new to me, and I feel like it also provides a really good perspective on fandom history.

@arkadijxpancakes - really well-written, well-thought out, well-supported meta. Great thoughts on worldbuilding. One of the only blogs I've found that really digs into the Weasleys, but they have great takes on everything. Has a very reasonable, focused, lets-get-to-the-heart-of-the-issue vibe that I really appreciate.

@riddlesmoon - followed me recently, and I know you don't post as much original content as you'd like, but I think your comments are hilarious and very insightful, and you *should* write more meta.

@hollowed-theory-hall - another person who can cite their sources really impressively. Tends to do very comprehensive deep dives into worldbuilding out things like the magic system and in-universe politics, or doing very in-depth text-based character analysis. I also love it when they post designs and art, because they went in a very different direction than the films did, but it still totally works.

@trothplighted - I know them from their main blog, which is about literature in general and not HP, but this post got them to resurrect their HP meta blog! I've had fun discussions with them, and they have good takes on other literature, so lets see how this goes :D

@regheart - A good, mellow follow (but with absolutely zero tolerance for JKR and her antics.) A good blend of art, fic recs, and fun good takes. Just read a post of their reccing fics that are pro-Jilly, but still willing to dig into their potential issues as a couple. Which I think is pretty representative.

I 100% expect to add to this list as I think of/find more people, but that should be enough to get you started.

On the one hand, only one person has a bond with them, and their whole in game schtick is dependent on the body of water, So its going to feel like a Pinky and The Brain and Elmyra situation to the outside observer. On the other hand, uncomfortable growth is a running theme, and after introductions they would have fun chemistry with the party and serve as proof of existence/individuality for Winnifred, I think? on your third hand, learning to let go is important for Mg. “I have eaten my cake and must break reality to have it too” and having them as like, a pen pal would also be nice. On your final hand that mostly exists for symmetry, you are the god of your au, the audience will have a blast even if you suddenly add in Optimus Prime to give advice and flirt. Indulge and everyone else will have fun. People don’t usually add much to the party, so seeing it will be fun and relatively unique if you choose to do it. To quote that sackboy meme: “get jiggy with it.” Ok sorry have a good day! Sorry for any mistakes I’m half awake.

I 100% Shelly can work well with different themes if I want to pull the strings in different directions I could! i personally love the idea of Loop (And by extension Siffrin) having friends outside the party because!!!! its so important!!! for them to do that!

Loop especially because statically it had been at least a year of time loops (my headcanon was that it was like, idk, 3 years?) and that's A LOT of time spent with their family. like, i love my family, but i can't imagine spending that much time w/ them that closely ya know? it'd be healthier for Loop to learn that hey, you can form bonds with people outside ur family circle buddy.

Like, literally, their whole world was the family for so long!!!! but also just inventing OCs feels a lil unnatural to me (ok, that's a lie, i've done it before for Fallen Royalty) so choosing my favorite NPC to be relevant is a good compromise. Although, the pick has more weight to it than that.

Siffrin only has an acquaintanceship with Shelly, there was no chance of a real friendship because of the World Ending + Loops just not allowing for something to grow. BUT I think the activity and the downtime separated from their situation would have been SUPER helpful, mentally. That's kinda what Shelly represents to me. The freedom to learn an activity that's NEW and unassociated from everything else.

Also I know it was a metaphor but "add in Optimus Prime to give advice and flirt" is so funny cause now i'm imagining what a plot derailment it'd be for Loop to fall for Shelly. Like everyone's like "who the fuck is this random fella kissing siffrin"

I heard the song "Frontier Psychiatrist" by The Avalanches and it immediately reminded me of your Bill- the artists make songs out of clips from old movies, and I feel like this one is a perfect mix of chaos, tragedy, Bill's childhood, and the Theraprism.

On that note, is there a specific genre of Earth music or an artist that Bill would listen to? We know there was music in Euclydia, but is there any flavor of human music he likes? (Or would at least tolerate?)

Boy are you ever in luck because I have a whole post about what (mostly human) musical genres I think Bill would canonically like. And an addendum. And what he'd think about dreamcore. And a few specific bands I was asked about. And the ONLY Lemon Demon song I'd ever add to his (and Mabel's) playlist. So running this poll caused me to reawaken my headcanons on which Sailor Moon character would be the Batfamily's favorite. I think I did this before but I'm being more thoughtful right now.

Bruce Wayne: In the tags I was musing about this, and basically, Tuxedo Mask is very like him (Sad orphan, wealthy, introverted, kind of uptight, has less powers than the others, like high places) but that would actually annoy him because he doesn't like himself. I settled on Sailor Jupiter as his favorite, he relates to her having a similar background (orphan, martial arts skills) but the way she's able to be so openly sweet and nurturing, when he struggles to show those sides of himself, makes him admire her, annnd that also really reminds him of Dick. He also really likes Sailor Pluto, vibes with her loneliness and mystery. He is,to the surprise of many, a Chibiusa fan, because she's essentially Usagi's Robin and she gives him parenting feels. Hotaru as well, for the goth aesthetic and general introversion and reminding him of Cass.

Dick Grayson: Sailor Moon. He thinks she's very funny and sweet and loves her stupid speeches. I think he'd also be a Chibi-Usa fan and passionate defender. He does find it very funny how much like Bruce Tuxedo Mask is (and he appreciates his ridiculous speeches) so he's a fave too.

Barbara Gordon: She likes Mercury a lot, but her true favorites are Sailor Venus and Sailor Jupiter, they remind her of Dick and Dinah, and she just thinks they're fun. Hotaru also gives her a lot of feelings for reminding her of Cass.

Jason Todd: I think he'd like Sailor Mars and Sailor Uranus about equally (and he also likes Sailor Neptune). He really relates to how Haruka believes in doing what's necessary, even killing, and even vibes with how she's conflicted sometimes. Michiru is hard for him to pin down but he does really like her.

Tim Drake: Immediately Sailor Mercury came to mind. Considering his taste in friends and love interests he might like Sailor Venus (though the fact she reminds him of Kon would just annoy him half the time) but yeah, I think he'd vibe with Mercury the most, not just the "she's smart one" thing but he'd find her sweet and root for her to come out of her shell. He'd also be fond of Tuxedo Mask.

Stephanie Brown: Sailor Moon, but Mars and Venus are close seconds. She loves silly girls and she loves angry girls. She's fond of Hotaru too because she reminds her of Cass.

Cassandra Cain: Sailor Saturn, she really relates to her, but she also likes Sailor Moon a lot, mostly because she reminds her of Steph a bit and Usagi triggers her protective instincts.

Kate Kane: Like many a lesbian (myself included), Uranus and Neptune meant a lot to her when she was young and even if it weren't for that I think she really vibes with their personalities. Uranus might have the edge considering her taste, but I'm going to give her Neptune as a fave, she finds her intriguing.

Damian Wayne: Sailor Mars, self explanatory imo. Also he pretends he doesn't actually like the show and calls it stupid. He likes Luna and Artemis and Diana a lot.

Selina Kyle: Luna and Artemis and Diana lmao. But as far as humans go, Sailor Neptune. Her elegance and general loyalty and moral conflict appeal. She also likes Sailor Mars, and does feel protective of Sailor Moon. Tuxedo Mask reminding her of Bruce alternately makes her frustrated with him and have affection for him just like real life.

Alfred: Tuxedo Mask, he likes his taste in clothing and yep, reminds him of Bruce. He also likes Sailor Moon.

I have not read enough comics with Duke to pin him down, I'm sorry, (Maybe he'd like Sailor Moon? From what little I've read?) Same with Harper.

Ok wait I have vague GIG(G)S ideas:

Impulse: an Experienced Ghost Hunter(TM)!

He worked for whoever the in-game company is (they don't have a canon name as far as I'm aware?) for a while before going independent.

Accidentally made a pact** with a demon during his early days and is now racing to reverse it before he dies and his soul gets eaten

Something about the pact gives him plot armor so he's lowkey immune to dying (yes this is counterproductive. no I don't know why/how this works yet. probably something happened to make the contract go awry)

Surprise surprise, making deals with a demon goes against company policy, but breaking the pact like they want would also probably kill him. He makes a get-away by stealing their van, and since he's got the equipment and skills for it, he continues ghost-hunting to make a living while on the run.

He also offers services as an electrician on the side just for extra cash, which is great because faulty electronics is often a sign of EMF stuff.

He gets little demon horns? Maybe? It's for the vibe (and maybe a tail too, to hold his lighter with)

The cheat sheet is just a journal (or maybe a collection of journals?) full of notes he's taken over the years

Skizz: a literal and metaphorical angel*!

For backstory and world-building reasons I haven't figured out yet, he forms a sin-eating pact** with Impulse, and that's why they stick together (besides the fact they enjoy each other's company, of course).

He's a tradesman on the side just like Impulse, but he does more home-repair and carpentry stuff.

All his clothes are torn-up because he keeps dying in stupid ways, but he hasn't replaced them yet because he insists it makes him look cool.

He's in charge of taking pictures because his ✨angelic presence✨ counteracts the EMF stuff that messes up the camera. They used to have a much nicer one that wasn't affected by EMF back when Impulse first started, but they managed to break it and haven't been able to afford one like it since.

Honestly I don't have enough headcanons for him yet and it makes me sad :(

Gem: a totally normal… individual!

You heard of not-deer? Yeah, it's kinda like that >:]c Has she been replaced? Was she once Gem but has been transformed into something else? Has she always been this way and no one noticed until now? Who knows!

She and Grian met in middle school while causing trouble in the same arts class and have been buddies ever since.

She liked to spend a lot of time in the woods near her home partially due to a casual interest in botany and partially because she and Grian could get up to shenanigans without getting caught. Even when they moved to a different country for college (it was the only university they could find that offered decent programs for both architecture and medical science, not to mention his cousin offered to let them stay at his place rent-free), she enjoyed driving out to the nearby national park to hang out. That park was also her last-reported location before she went missing.

If you look too close, there's subtle details that hint that something's not quite right---eyes that reflect light, limbs that are a little longer than they used to be, very sparse blinking, and a smile that's a little too wide...

Grian was going to be her first victim. He was an easy target, after all---unlikely be missed under the right circumstances, and scatterbrained enough to fall for her tricks---but there was never a good time to strike without blowing her cover. Eventually, the cravings for human died down completely, and she (mostly) forgot he was supposed to be her meal instead of her best friend.

She likes to study other people and mimic their behavior, and she's gotten a lot better at it than she used to be when she first reappeared.

Imp and Skizz both realize there's something off about her, but she's not exactly aggressive or anything, so they just let her be. It doesn't help that whenever they try to question Grian about it, he insists there's nothing wrong.

She usually stays in the van because for some strange reason, the ghosts don't like to appear when she's around.

Although she didn't get to study anything in-depth, she does have more medical knowledge than the rest of the crew, and getting her to help is cheaper than going to a doctor.

Grian: a blind clairvoyant!

Despite Gem's disappearance, Grian managed to pull himself together enough to continue college in the fall. But about halfway through his degree, Jimmy pulled him along to study in a supposedly haunted part of the library because no one else would bother them there, during which the whole building experienced a blackout. The staff fixed it quickly enough, but when the lights came back on, Jimmy was confronted with a knocked-out Grian. For the rest of the semester, he'd be plagued by headaches, insomnia, sleepwalking outside and sleeptalking about the moon and eyes, paranoia, periods of amnesia, and other symptoms that almost made him drop out of college.

Ever since, he's had has this uncanny intuition for when something's about to go wrong and often suddenly knows things without any explanation as to how. Skizz swears it's like he's got eyes in the back of his head or something.

When Gem popped up right after he graduated and suggested to him that they leave on a long roadtrip, he wasn't really in a state of mind to question it. He just thought it would be a good chance to get his head on straight, and strangely enough, just being near Gem helps him to think much more clearly. He just assumes it's because they're such good friends.

He gets possessed at Point Hope, and although the crew manages to exorcise him, he still occasionally gets the urge to set sail and never come back. He's also noticed a lot more mollusks in strange places since then, though surely that must be unrelated...

Scar: a lovable salesman!

He's also considered an angel*, and he definitely likes to play the part to sell his wares.

The GIGS crew buys their supplies from him since certified sources are rare and trustworthy vendors are even rarer. Scar is still a pretty shifty guy, but he hasn't let them down yet---killing off his customers beloved friends would be bad business, after all!

He lives on the road just like GIGS for his own reasons, so they have to arrange to meet with him way both they run out of supplies.

His previous life is a well-kept secret, but he had an interest in the occult even before he became an angel. He claims it was to contact his old pets from beyond the grave, but unsurprisingly, no one quite believes him.

He loves to make outdated references, but no one knows if it's because he's that old or he's just a nerd.

Sometimes he'll join the crew on an investigation for fun, but he dies more often than not, and recovery is so inconvenient that he doesn't like to be on-site very often.

The crew:

They mostly deal in ghost identification, but they do offer extermination for an extra fee. It's more expensive than companies that specialize in extermination, but that's just the price for convenient/speedy service.

Each person has an unofficial role with Impulse as the ringleader, Skizz as the photographer, Gem as the man in the chair, and Grian as the odd-jobber. Of course, everyone has a little experience with everything, but they're most comfortable like this.

They all live in the van, and will usually stay in a town for anywhere from a few days to a couple months depending on how much work is available.

They tend to stay nights at motels and the like, but when money's short or there's nowhere to stay nearby, Imp and Skizz usually sleep in the cab of the truck while Grain and Gem get to camp in the back with sleeping bags.

Pay is split five ways: each member gets a set stipend for personal stuff, and the rest goes towards "work expenses" such as food, motel fees, gas, and the occasional treat for a job well done.

Other appearances:

Pearl, a mysterious woman with a wolfish grin and strange knack for attracting the supernatural.

Jimmy, Grian's well-meaning cousin who accidentally gets Grian possessed, freaks out when he goes no-contact on a sudden "road trip" with someone who's been presumed dead, and then nearly dies himself after an investigation gone wrong.

Lizzie (Jimmy's cousin on the other side) and her husband Joel, who contact GIGS for help and are surprised to find two old acquaintances among them (which is how Jimmy finds Grian again).

Ze and his new colleague Sneeg, two employees of Imp's old company that they run into at a haunting that got double-booked.

BDubs ("is that even a name?" "shut up. like you can judge, Mr. 'my-name-is-Grian-not-Grain.'" "yeah--- well--- at least I'm not named after some stupid stars!"), a very concerned patron who insists on supervising the investigation and gets roped into helping.

Ghostie-ghoulie stuff:

The supernatural is common enough to be recognized but isn't typically considered a part of everyday life.

"Ghost" refers to any supernatural creature that forms from human souls, which mean their appearences and attributes can vary just as much as human personalities. However, their traits can be greatly affected by the circumstances in which they were created (aka how a person died), so there's enough commonality to classify them.

Just like any other being, ghosts need energy to function. They absorb this energy in the form of heat and expel it and electromagnetic radiation. If they output enough of this radiation, they can create EMFs that can be detected by readers. This is also why haunted areas tend to be cold and events/hunts can be tracked by spikes in EMF levels.

If ghosts aren't formed enough enough energy to subsist right off the bat, they can wither away without intervention.

Most ghosts the GIGS that exist are fairly new, so they aren't strong enough to kill anyone. It usually takes at least a year of residence for enough EMF to gather for them to mess with the environment, and even longer to cause events. However, the older a ghost is, the more its sentience slips away.

The reason ghosts kill can vary wildly and may even depend on the type of ghost. Some ghosts are simply territorial, some hold grudges towards the living (though they aren't always aware enough to realize what/why), and some even want to possess the living.

Possessions are incredibly rare because it takes an immense amount of energy to possess someone, but most ghosts are no longer sentient to want such a thing by the time they've amassed enough power. Possession of a living body is even harder for the exact same reason.

*Angels and demons don't actually have anything to do with Christian mythology. Unlike other ghosts, neither are fully dead. The link between their soul and body is just messed up, though due to the rarity of both entities, how exactly this occurs is severely under-researched. For demons, their soul has been banished from their body (the still-functioning body is called a zombie and can be killed to destroy the demon), and their creation typically happens within an abundance of "bad energy" (ex: violent murder). On the other hand, angels are permanently bonded to their bodies and are created in the presence of "good energy" (ex: heroic sacrifice). They can also be killed by destroying their bodies, but unlike demons, the fact that their soul remains inside the body means they're able to regenerate even though the scars always remain. Both entities can rot (not age) to death within the average human lifespan but can prolong the wait by consuming energy, and both tend to have very clumsy/uncoordinated bodies due to the messed up soul link.

**Also, although it costs demons a lot of energy to form a pact with humans (and again, the manner in which a pact is formed/maintained is unknown), the fulfillment of a contract will grant them much more power than they out into it---it's bascially an investment. Angels can do a similar things called "sin-eating" but it works in reverse: it takes a little energy to make the pact, but the fullfilment will drain them greatly (no I don't exactly know how this works yet either. but it sounds cool so I'm keeping it >:]c )

Diabolik lovers headcanons pt. 3 (even more stuff)

Hi, it's been a while, no? Even though I feel a bit like I'm screaming into an empty void, I do enjoy writing my thoughts down.

The Diabolik Lovers fandom gets smaller and smaller and since just a few blogs are active, I wanted to post more! I know that without Rejet producing more content (that is canon and not "just" new merchlines, even though I deeply love the art), the dl fandom is bound to shrink. But: now, there are a lot of very respectful blogs, which I do enjoy! The toxicity just shrinks a lot on smaller fandoms. And I really love that no slander of Yui is happening!

Now, lets get into the headcanons after my short ramble.

First of all: Shu.

Genuinely loves dogs (remember the scene with Yuma? The little puppy? Yes.)

All fluffy dogs are loved, just as all other dogs.

Loveslovesloves Golden retrievers and sheperd dogs. Likes big dogs a bit more than small dogs, more to hug.

Deeply hates toads. Not frogs, toads. He thinks they're quite ugly and hates how big they can get

Shu is Not dumb but being a little fuck by not-obeying-karlheinz's-orders-like-being-good-in-school

Has only socks with terrible obnoxious patterns, like the weirdest psychedelic shit? I'm talking about rainbow colored mushrooms on sunyellow backdrop and comical faces. (Ngl, it's a vibe)

Huuuuge crush on Yuma. He likes his long hair and the fact that Yuma doesn't try to lie to him. Shu likes honest people and Yuma with his blunt approach is amazing for him. Also, he is convinced that Yuma is very simple to understand, nit at all complicated like some other people.

Next in Line is Reiji! What a surprise.

Has a huge collection of Hand cream and lotion. He has those long, slim fingers and his nails are manicured so impeccable that they don't even look real anymore.

Wears only black socks. Its a hassle to sort them since some of them have different lengths or fabrics

Has pet rats. Definitely pet rats.

They're cute and all but he's named ever single one outrageous names like Berthold and Brunhilde, the typical old german names you'd read in very old books.

Reiji Is able to speak not only german, japanese and the demon language but can also speak latin (even though shu is on a much higher level), a bit of French and russian.

Would be the type to do things simply out of sprite. Shu once mentioned not liking blue curtains and now all curtains are blue.

Has an academic rivalry with Ruki. All the other students (including Ruki) think they're flirting, only Reiji is oblivious.

Next: our boy Ayato!

Hates bees with a passion.

Kanato once "gifted" him a box of bees out of spite (the little shit put the whole bee hive in that box), ever since then Ayato runs as soon as humming from a bee can be heard in a ten mile ratio. (Being outside is very exhausting for everyone, himself included)

Very much enjoys shows like Brigderton and say yes to the dress. Loves the drama and the intrigue.

Ayato actually? Doesn't hate his brothers??? He likes to bicker with them, especially his other triplets, but genuinely cares about them. He's just a bit too emotionally stunted on that front (thank you cordelia).

Likes not only takoyaki but also any type of japanese festival food. I'm talking about mochi, dango and tayaki, etc.

the type to have lactose intolerance and ignore it completely to seem "cool"

went on an ice cream date with Yui once and spent the entire night in the bathroom because he was too proud to say no

Actually wears makeup? I'm not talking about full-on glam but a bit concealer and eyeliner. Ayato has red mascara and omfg he looks so good with it???

Laito and he enjoy playing those multiplayer games for nintendo

He has an entire village on animal crossing that is managed by him and Laito together

Next in line: Kanato!

I have made quite long posts about him in the past so I wont elaborate on some things that I already wrote down.

Very skilled at makeup. Like top-level skill. Wears eyeliner, liptint or gloss and glitter under and on his eyes. Light blush is a must-have!

Can crochet and knit but is often too impatient to make bigger projects

Will hyperfocus on things like historical fashion and garments for weeks at a time.

Once was so focused on the black plague that he didn't drink blood for like five weeks and passed out until he was fed some blood

Gremlin.

Has a friendship with Yuma? They plant plants together and since Kanato (canonically) likes apples, Yuma will bring him some after plucking.

Kanato enjoys tea time with Reiji

Kanato also likes to gossip with Laito. Or more like: Laito gossips and Kanato sits next to him and munches on some sweets.

Huge crush on Azusa. (I went into more detail on that in earlier posts but I'll answer any questions on that matter! Feel free to send me asks or prompts!)

He and Ayato have both the same interest for old fairy tales and will read them together on those nights were everything just comes up again

❗Laito will comfort him when Kanato has nightmares and Kanato will be there for Laito, since they went through a bit if the same things even though Laito's was much more intense

Can speak a fuckton of languages.

I don't care if its canon but Laito is like B2 Level of French. Is able to discuss theological matters is perfect french.

Can also speak italian like all the triplets but he's also able to speak a bit german, polish and romanian

Friends with Kou! ❗They're really good ffriends and can understand what the other went though. Laito stays often over night at Kou's and they spend the night watching funny movies (Deadpool is Laitos current favourite)

Laito enjoys comics. He likes Marvel and DC a lot!

We know that Laito likes crossword puzzles but like. He's so good at them it's almost frightening. Is able to not only do japanese ones but also french.

So intelligent???

Not only booksmart but also "people smart". He notices the smallest things on people around him, constantly analizes everyone. Knows a lot about medicine and psychology.

Loves learning new things.

Has immense knowledge about the universe, is able to name every single star sign on the sky.

in the games we often see Laito wear casual clothing. My headcanon is that he likes the sort of style skaters usually wear.

Really likes cargo pants since everything fits in all of the pockets

Wears oversized hoodies and shirts

Has those two piercings on his left earlobe but also has a lip piercing on the right lower lip and a septum that he got when he was bored

As soon as he's alone, he let's the perverted fassade fall down. He doesn't smile a lot actually, more along the lines of a serious face most of the time.

It took a bit for him to be able to drop that fake face of his in front of Kou and his other triplets but after some time he got used to not fake being friendly and perverted.

Dropped the infamous "bitch-chan" after some time, now uses Yui's actual name. The -chan stayed though.

Last but not least: Subaru!

has very soft plushies in his coffin

Loves those tiny fluffy bunnies. Lionheads especially!

Very gentle with animals.

Animals love him (#disneyprincesssubaru)

once tried to color his hair, it went horrible and his hair was a patchy muddy color for eight weeks

Wears black nail polish but it chips off pretty fast due to the gardening Subaru does

Bonding time with Kanato is applying nail polish together

Enjoys playing pool and darts with Shu when his older brother has enough motivation

Knows he is fucked up from all the stuff with his mother and wouldn't be opposed to therapy (at least after some sweet talk from Yui... And a whole lot of promises for new seeds for his garden and a new set of black clothes)

Has a motor bike and it's his entire pride

Polishes it every week and has a lot of clothes for biking

Takes trips to somewhere when he's bored and/or annoyed by his other brothers

does not realize that Kou flirts with him every time they do something together (obliviousness lies in the family)

The odd duo of the Skarloey, here's MightyMac! :D If there's two things that I'm an absolute sucker for it's a) Sibling (or sibling vibe) characters, and b) Secondary/background characters that don't have a ton of development. And this funky little double-fairlie fits right in! xD So here's a little doodle of them!! ^^ Separate pictures and headcanons below the cut ~

~ Headcanons ~

-Pronouns for both are He/Him They/Them -Their original name was Little Giant, but they eventually adopted the names Mighty and Mac, then later started going by "MightyMac" as it was easier. (Though unless you're addressing them both, which is relatively common, they do prefer their individual names.)

-They are the only known Double-Fairlie that has two distinct personalities (double-fairlies are typically one engine just with two faces, similar to the Culdee Fell engines).

-They were originally loaned to the Skarloey just to help with the Summer Rush, and after a disastrous first day, the two learned from their mistakes and ended up becoming quite an asset to the railway. So much so that Mr. Percival did end up keeping them permanently.

-They mostly do goods work, hauling heavy slate trains and the like, but do enjoy a passenger run every now and then.

-Mighty is older then Mac, though it's not entirely clear why. -They used to believe that they looked exactly the same; they were quite shocked to find out that they did not, in fact, look much alike at all LOL

-They do not like turntables at all. (Especially not after the turntable fiasco on their first day xD)

-They each have control over their respective "half" of the engine, but absolutely no control over the other half. This has made cooperation an absolute must for them, but they still have petty squabbles every now and then.

-Mac is more of the "leader" of the duo, tending to take charge more then Mighty. Even when he's not riding in front, he'll usually be the one telling Mighty where to go and what to do.

Mighty is generally reserved and gentle, not super talkative, but always happy to listen and help out however he can. He cares deeply for others but can be quite hard on himself. He also has no sense of direction whatsoever and often turns to Mac for guidance more then vice versa.

Mac, on the other hand, is very extroverted and will absolutely talk all day if you let him. He's more calculated and logical compared to Mighty, but can get a bit agitated when dealing with more complex or "illogical" things. Feelings are not his strong suit and he can be quite blunt, but he genuinely mean well.

Aaaand that's it!
