Annabeth Chase and Jason Grace - two sides of the same coin, an analysis post.
after a long wait, I've finally posted my analysis on jason/annabeth being similar, and mirroring eachother as rivals/potential sibling figures more than percy/jason's 'bro rivalry', based on this post of mine which has crossed over a THOUSAND notes in the last week alone, and I've been getting so many reblogs and comments asking me to expand on my tags in that post and do a full analysis. so here it is. I've been procrastinating this for quite a while now for some reason but I'm glad I'm over my writer's block and I got to articulate my post well enough.
Tumblr media
annabeth and jason have had very minor interactions throughout hoo, but the parallels and similarities in their character is jarringly noticeable, which is why I hoped for a jason/annabeth rivalry and not a percy/jason rivalry. they've both been raised at their respective camps since they were literal kids, they were well versed in their respective fields of knowledge, and were well respected/intimidated in their camps.
let's start off with the lost hero
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
when jason first meets annabeth, he says that her eyes were really intimidating and fierce, so right off the bat, we have jason who's pretty put off by annabeth because she very obviously looked angry, especially since she was frustrated about jason's arrival instead of percy, and looked like she could kill jason to get percy back.
-----------------------------------------------
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
this parallels to a lot when hazel kept going on about how difficult it was to warm up to jason because his eyes were always calculating and cold, and he gave off an untrustworthy vibe, that he'd sacrifice anyone for the sake of the mission.
both annabeth and jason have a certain similar ‘look’ in their eyes, which have nothing to do with the color. they both have the tendency to make people nervous simply with their eyes, because they always look like they're thinking of new things every few seconds. Ironically, jason first perceived annabeth, the way everyone else perceived him. scary and intimidating with an icy glare and hardened eyes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They were both said to be ‘studying’ each other in distrust many times throughout. A part of why they didn't trust each other, was, in my opinion, because they embodied their least favorite shared personality trait of each other, secretiveness and guardedness. which is why annabeth got on so well with percy, and jason with leo/piper.
they didn't admire the closed off-ish vibe that they gave eachother. they both needed people who were open and carefree.annabeth said that jason looked like he knew too much information, but chose to keep it all a secret, very similar to her own guardedness from time to time, keeping it a secret and wanting to deal with it silently.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
we also know that annabeth and jason are extremely knowledgeable in greek/roman mythology, they both love debates and were quite passionate about history. they were both assigned architecture projects by the gods themselves as a mark of honor and favour.
moving on to the next most important point, they reminded eachother of the people they missed, causing them to feel resentful.
jason, barely met his sister after they reunited. he was bitter when thalia said he had to go look for percy to help out annabeth with the search. he was aware that thalia and annabeth were childhood friends, getting closer to eachother than jason and thalia ever did. she found a home in luke and annabeth, not even a few months after baby jason was thought to be ‘dead’, that knowledge would've weighed a lot on jason. annabeth became the sibling to thalia grace that jason could never be.
while annabeth? the only thing annabeth thought of, after jason had a face off with his mother's remnant in boo, was the fact that jason, who looks eerily similar to luke, could've experienced the exact same fate as him. luke was jason if he had more wrath and held grudges, jason was luke if he had less anger and resentment. annabeth could connect the dots so easily, and that was truly the moment where she gained immense respect for him.
and, when jason told annabeth that his sister was thalia? she had a very odd sort of expression on her face.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
annabeth also quotes that looking at jason made her feel bitter, because he reminded her of heras exchange, and the fact that she lost percy for months. whenever she looked at jason, she would only see her two childhood friends, a found family that was broken, and a love that was challenged.
whenever jason looked at annabeth, he would be reminded that thalia had a closer contact to her than she did jason, and had to accept that he would never know thalia as much as annabeth does.
Tumblr media
annabeth and jason also appear very confident and sure of themselves, but have second thoughts all the time. they had to put on a fake facade, to live up to their expectations and lineage.
they were both also sort of people pleasers, annabeth couldn't really say no to anyone who asked her for help with things, like carrying the sky for luke especially, because not only where they giving her a chance to execute her knowledge and skill, the thought of helping someone made her genuinely happy. jason also loved seeing people happy, always wanting to say the right thing to satisfy someone, even if it meant he had to sacrifice his own struggles to help them.
fatal flaws:
annabeth’s fatal flaw, is hubris. when you are confident and sure that you can do something, and have a sense of excessive self pride.
and jason's fatal flaw is the temptation to deliberate. hesitation and second guessing, to put it in simpler words.both fatal flaws are so different, yet so similar, and they have both flaws, just in a different viewpoint.
as a child of athena, annabeth appears super confident and even conceding at times because of her wisdom, but at the same time, annabeth had to make sure she was one step ahead of everyone. she had to rethink everything and had to have a plan in her mind all the time, fearing that things wouldn't go smoothly.
she had to hesitate and second guess herself alot, despite her knowledge, like she did when she knew she had to look for the mark of athena. piper and percy had to boost up her confidence with affirmations, to let her know she's on the right path and to just follow her gut. annabeth feels obligated to have a temptation to deliberate, because, as a child of athena, she has to be all knowing and wise, and most definitely cannot fail her mother.
and jason? despite having a very low sense of self esteem and hesitation, he was so used to leading the people who were considered slightly inferior to him in camp jupiter, and basically getting treated like a celebrity for 12 years of his life in camp jupiter, that often, he thought what he did was right, he had his own perception of what a hero should be, and I quote
[“No, no,” Jason said. “I made my choice. You’re not to blame. You don’t owe me anything except to remember what I said. Remember what’s important.” “You’re important,” I said. “Your life!”Jason tilted his head. “I mean… sure. But if a hero isn’t ready to lose everything for a greater cause, is that person really a hero?”He weighted the word person subtly, as if to stress it could mean a human, a faun, a dryad, a griffin, a pandos… even a god”- Tower of Nero]
which was normal, since he had everyone basically following his lead without question as a kid. he's expanded on this in his conversation with piper in mark of athena, where he said he felt weird to suddenly be around people who were either equal/or superior to him in power, and not being in the ‘lead’ particularly.
jason had hubris, but certainly not in a way that you would call it an ego or excessive pride. he was hardwired and brainwashed into having his own perception of what is right and what is wrong, that he thought he was always making good enough decisions, at least from a roman child soldier’s standpoint. [Like when he was okay with not saving nico because it might sabotage their mission, he genuinely didn't think what he said was insensitive until hazel called him out, because he was brought up that way. he thought he was doing the right thing, by prioritising the mission and the duty, first. Like the dutiful roman he was made to be].
both annabeth and jason, have hubris and a temptation to deliberate.
annabeth and jason, also had an extremely difficult time breaking free from the thoughts that their godly parents were always right. It took on alot of disappointments for both of them to stand up to their parents (and not just godly ones, mind you)
they've both had disappointing absent mortal and godly parents with a hostile stepmother involved and monitored with each and every one of their moves. annabeth has had to deal with her stepmother playing the ‘bad cop’ with her father not even coming to her defence, just the way hera came butting into jason's life and giving him terrible memories, taking him away from thalia, with zeus not even caring.
speaking of which, they are both the only demigods who have harboured the most amount of resentment for hera. just the sight of hera pisses them both off, as it hera, stripped off so much time away from annabeth and percy, and memories from jason, which he never permanently got back.
this is sort of irrelevant but I'll add this anyway, in boo, athena also immediately liked jason for calling out zeus's unfairness to apollo, saying something like 'the boy is right' and she gave him an approving/appreciative look for his wisdom, which is pretty rare for athena to say or do to literally any demigod ever. this makes me wonder if she ever saw jason as someone who had some sort of athena legacy in him, which is why she was so pleasantly surprised with him. ugh we could've so gotten jason and annabeth as potential sibling figures bc of how many parallels they have, too bad that the percy/jason rivalry narrative was pushed too hard.
I hope I've drawn enough parallels with their characters, as a lot of you have been looking forward to this post for a while, hopefully this analysis hasnt been underwhelming for you all to read!

.𖥔 ݁ ˖ LEAVING LIPSTICK STAINS ON LEVI
Tumblr media
fem!reader, sfw, fluff, you leave lipstick all over levi before a mission and the scouts find out, just something super cutesy & short while i work on some longer pieces hehe, pls ignore errors lol, 1.3k words
Tumblr media
“promise you’ll come back in one piece?” you say, smoothing the wrinkle between levi’s brow with a kiss.
he glances up at you from under his lashes, crinkling his nose as a short, breathy laugh escapes him, one he tries to subdue. still, he can’t deny the happiness that slips onto his features, not when joy is so fleeting because of the life that the two of you live.
cold hands run across your back, down to your hips as you straighten his collar, kissing his sharp cheekbones, the bridge of his nose. “i’ve made it this far, haven’t i?” levi mutters, squeezing your sides gently before shifting you off of his lap.
he lifts you, sets you on the edge of his desk, causing some of the papers that erwin had dropped off earlier to crinkle. a smile graces your lips as levi stands, stretching his limbs behind him, the chair pushing away from the desk with a creak.
“i’m going to be late because of you,” levi remarks, eyes narrowed playfully, but he gives you another kiss on the lips, lingering there like it’s painful to pull away.
“then stop kissing me.” your hands splay across his chest, but you don’t push him away, feeling his heart beat under his ribcage, the melody that you will always come back to. still, levi tugs your hips forward, slots in between your legs, and kisses you even deeper. “it’s time for you to go, captain levi.”
a heavy sigh weighs against your mouth, his exhale warm as he pulls back. “sounds like you want me gone.”
“of course i don’t.” your voice softens as you play with his fingers for a moment, before he's tugging them away gently, withdrawing from your figure. “i'm going to have to find someone else to sleep next to while you’re away."
normally, you would’ve been going with levi and the rest of the scouts, but an injury from your last mission prevented you from going on any more for a few weeks.
levi snorts, putting on his jacket, fixing the leather straps across his chest. “is that all i’m good for? killing titans and keeping your bed warm?”
you make a face at him, then shrug, half-hearted as he stares back at you with amusement. then, you laugh, cheerful and free; you know levi will come back to you. he has no other choice.
levi makes his way towards the door.
“levi?”
he turns, the lipstick stains still visible on his cheek, dark against his pale skin. for a moment, you wonder if you should tell him—if he’d be mad if you didn’t.
but then you remember he’s going to meet with a squad of fifteen year olds that have all almost died alongside him. if they really have a problem with their captain being loved by you, then they don’t care about him as much as you thought.
you smile and shake your head, voice holding just enough mischief for levi to notice. “just be safe. i love you.”
he softens. there are times where levi is hesitant to say the words, still worried you will be taken from him. but this is not one of those times. not when you will be separated for days, his life once again in danger. “i love you too, sweetheart.”
Tumblr media
within ten minutes, levi is down to the first floor, pushing into the room where the members of his squad are already waiting.
he’s only a minute late, but he feels like they must have been waiting for hours, the way that they are all gawking at him with wide eyes, connie’s jaw faltering slightly. “everyone here?” levi asks, doing a quick scan of the room, counting heads like he’s their babysitter.
no one says anything. eren’s eyes look like they might bulge out of his head, and jean covers his mouth, looking away as him and sasha let out a stifled giggle.
levi’s mouth draws into an even thinner line. “what the hell are you snickering about?" he grumbles, looking at each of them individually, wondering who will be the first to confess.
their eyes dart away dramatically, faces red. even eren, who is normally more obnoxious than the rest, seems to have run out of words to say.
his eye twitches; levi wonders if connie’s head might burst, or if sasha’s laugh will rip out of her first.
“well?” levi asks again, snapping, already tired of this mission. a hot cup of tea sounds nice, in bed next to you.
armin, as usual, is the one to speak up when no one else has anything intelligent to say. “well, sir,” the blonde says, gesturing towards his own face. “i think…”
levi touches his cheek, remembering all the places you’d kissed him earlier, wearing that pretty black dress and your dark lipstick. a sigh leaves him when he pulls his fingers away, the tips coming back, smeared with a deep red.
he should've known.
“i see," levi says, staring for a moment, before meeting eren's eyes, his lips finally widening into a grin.
“ooooh," eren sings, his expression smug as mikasa elbows him, her own features pinched tight. "the captain’s in looooove."
levi knows they are expecting a reaction, a spectacle of the fact that he adores you. but he’s never kept it a secret, and he’s certainly not ashamed of all the things he feels for you.
“and what if i am?” levi asks instead, pointedly staring eren down as the rest of the scouts watch the exchange. “honestly, i am surprised no one noticed sooner.”
eren’s jaw falters a bit; a small wave of silence falls over the scouts. you and levi don't make a point of hiding your relationship, but really, levi shouldn’t have been surprised that no one in his squad was observant enough to notice.
or so he thought, anyway.
historia’s smaller, high-pitched voice breaks up the quiet, repeating your name back to him, as if affirmation that you’re the one he kisses goodnight. a silly question really, considering levi has never looked at anyone else with the same kind of tenderness.
“it is her, isn’t it?” historia asks, smiling softly. “i only know because you’re always holding hands under the table when you think no one can see.”
levi raises his eyebrow. “clearly we were wrong about that.” though, of all the things to notice, he thought it’d be the way you kiss him after every mission, the way he’s harder on you than anyone else because he doesn’t want to lose you.
eren shrieks your name like he’s never heard it before, and levi is starting to wonder if the boy actually is an idiot. his old squad had known immediately; petra caught you sneaking up to levi’s quarters when you thought everyone else was asleep, kissing him on the cheek when you thought everyone's back was turned.
it’s been a long time since then, he supposes. maybe the years have taught you subtlety.
“how long have you been together?”
“does she actually like you?”
“do you—” connie makes a lewd gesture with his fingers. “you know.”
“connie!” jean shouts, whacking him on the back of the head. “what do you think! dumbass.”
“hey!" connie says, rubbing his head. “geez. i just can’t picture it.”
"i’d rather you didn’t." levi’s face turns sour, disturbed by a room full of teenagers discussing his private and romantic life. “bring it up again and i’ll leave you outside of the wall on the next mission.” he pauses, crosses his arms with an exasperated exhale. “and she likes me just fine. at least, she has for the past five years.”
“five—”
a new wave of questioning starts and levi pinches his temples, shakes his head, the red smear of lipstick still on his face.
levi almost wishes you could’ve been there to field the questions instead. you’ve always been better with the kids, connected with them a lot easier than levi had.
even if it was would’ve exposed his lovesick eyes, the tiny lift of the corner of his mouth when you were around.
he’s never been very good about hiding it anyway.

JE SUIS LÀ POUR TOI
Modern Stack x Reader
Ignore the fire in the picture pls. Lol
Excuse any errors. Enjoy
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ghosting was your defense mechanism. Having been hurt countless of times in the past made it hard for you to completely trust anyone that came in your life and show interest.
No matter house much they show up and show out, that little voice in your head is always ready and armed with all the wrong words to convince you that it’s all for show. They’re just doing it cause they want something from you.
They don’t really like you, just passing time.
You’ve fallen victim to the little devil in your mind. Sure it cost you a few great relationships but the lack of effort put in to to truly trying to keep you in their life always made you believe that you were actually right. No one truly likes you.
That’s until you met Elias, alias Stack.
It’s almost like someone out there, it be God or any other Divine Creature, knew exactly what you needed in that moment. Stack was truly a blessing. A gift.
Your biggest criteria for your partner was that they had to be funny. Someone with whom you can share hearty laughs mixed with some deep conversations.
With Stack, you found all that and then some.
That man could laugh you out your panties. But once he got you in that bed, nothing was funny anymore. Your previous laughs turned into cries of pleasure. Lips singing a totally different tune which translated the state of euphoria he had you in.
Never had you met a man with a skilled mouth inside and outside the bedroom.
Every thing was copacetic. Until you started going ghost on him.
It started with you taking hours to respond to his text messages. Purposely missing his calls. Engaging less in conversation.
Until you started to actively limit your rendezvous. Each day of the week had its own unique excuse.
Despite him trying to be understanding and giving you time, Stack could notice something was wrong. Sure you’ve only known each other for a fraction of time, but that doesn’t mean he hadn’t been paying special attention to you.
You really came into his life and transpercer son coeur like a cupids bow.
When he found himself thinking about you at random times of the day, loosing interest in his little pass time ladies. That’s when he knew he wanted you in life. At least for a little while longer.
He tried to practice patience with you. Be understanding. Don’t smother you too much and be annoying. Lord knows he’s never felt such strong feelings for someone before. But after a few days of you ghosting him, he couldn’t take it anymore.
He didn’t even put much thought into what he was going to do. All he knew was that he hasn’t seen you in a minute and he was gonna see you today.
———————————————————————
There you were in your small bubble. Just enjoying the quiet of your home. At least you were trying to.
Before Stack, staying alone in silence for a prolonged period of time was not a problem. But things have changed. You don’t remember when they changed. They just did.
The silence in your home right now is just an indication that something’s missing. Someone’s missing.
Whenever stack was around, silence was a rare guest in the domicile. Whether it was the booming voice of his off key singing. Him telling you stories about all his multiple adventures. Even sharing some stories of his past crazy situationships.
Other times, his soothing voice was the only thing that could get you back to earth. Whispering sweet words in your ear. Cradling you in your arms so as to shield you from your thoughts. Sometimes he wished he could get in your head and remove all the weeds that have been growing there. Replace them with beautiful, colourful flowers.
Seven loud knocks in interval came to your door. The first few knocks were faint. But as the seconds passed without you opening up, the knocks became louder and louder.
At this point you feared your nosy older neighbours would be disturbed.
Approaching the door on your tippy toes so as to not reveal any human activity and alarm the other person of your presence, you looked through the peep hole.
“You don’t even gotta look. You already know it’s me, love. Open up.”
He was right you already know who stood on the other side of the door. You didn’t think he’d show up this soon. That’s a record. Normally they just get used to your absence. And vice versa.
“Aye, you better open up ‘fore I cause a scene for your bougie ass neighbours.”
You sighed proceeding to open the locks. As the door swung open his hand was in mid air as if waiting to knock again.
At the sight of you, he dropped his hand and with it went the wrinkles on his forehead. His face relaxed. Heart beating a bit slower when he saw you were still in one piece and breathing.
The both of you just stood there. No one uttering a thing. Simply contemplating each other.
No matter how much you tried to convince yourself you didn’t miss him, seeing him in front you made all the feelings you tried so hard to hide away came springing up to the surface.
“You really thought you could get rid of me that easily? I told you, you’re already in my system.”
“You not even gonna let me in?” His question was out of the ordinary. Any other time he would’ve already let himself in the minute you opened the door. Problem was, this wasn’t any other time. He knows he has to go slowly with you. Take his time so as to not push you away even more.
You didn’t give a verbal answer. Just stepped aside and he took the hint. Besides you couldn’t trust your voice in the moment. Your brain was running a thousand miles per minute trying to find the right excuse you were going to dish him.
Now inside the house, you were waiting for him to unleash his anger. Tell you how foul you were. Get all the things he has to say ofc his chest before storming out.
That didn’t happen. He looked at you with the softest expression in his eyes before meekly declaring “I miss you.”
Now that’s..new. Not knowing what to say since he caught you off guard. You simply stood there looking at him. You wanted to tell him how much you share the same sentiment as him. How much he has been occupying my mind lately. The word’s didn’t make it to your lips.
“You don’t even gotta tell me anything right now. Just let me be there for you. Please?”
Yeah, that did it. First it was the slight expansion of your nose, then you lips quivering lightly, like a child ready to cry, throat constricting, then finally your eyes stinging before they became blurry.
———————————————————————
You don’t recall how you got here. You body completely enveloped by a warm blanket, body melting in the comfortable mattress.
Looking outside the window, obscurity had taken over the sky. Time had really passed. How long have you been out?
Your senses started to awaken slowly but surely. One thing captured your attention. The aroma of some good home cooked meal seduced your nostrils. That’s when your stomach decided to announce itself with a loud grumble.
You left the comfort of your bed as you headed for the kitchen.
The sight in front of you tugged at your heart strings. There in your decent size kitchen was Elias, wiping down the kitchen that was visibly messy after his cooking. He was so focused on his task he couldn’t even hear you come in his space.
Not knowing how to announce yourself, you let out a small “ahem”. That caught his attention.
Turning around, he smiled as soon as he saw your face.
“You’re awake. I wanted to get done here ‘fore coming to wake you up. I know you don’t like eating when the kitchen’s messy.”
Good lord. He couldn’t get more perfect than this. Here he was taking care of you. Not once has he shown you his displeasure with
“It’s fine. The food actually directed me here. It smells nice.”
“Yeah I figured you’d be hungry after you wake up so I decided to throw something together for you.”
“Thank you.”
He plated your food before pulling out a chair which you thought was for you until he sat down. He patted his knees inviting you to sit on him instead.
“Are you sure..?” Came out your hesitant voice.
“Come on.” He said simply with a small smile on the corner of his lips.
You missed the proximity. You know he did too. Stack is the definition of touchy feely person. You will never find yourself close to him without him finding one way or another to touch you. Nothing sexual. He just constantly needs to touch you. You weren’t complaining.
You sat there in silence. Enjoying each other’s presence. You couldn’t help the sounds coming from your mouth. The food was
“You gonna have to slow down on those sounds. I know the foods not that good.”
“But it is though. What did you put in it?”
“Just some of my love and a pinch of salt to taste.”
“Corny.” You said flicking his ear slightly. Both sharing a laugh after.
“Stack, I’m really sorry about going ghost I-“
“Shh, we can talk about it tomorrow. I’m not going anywhere, you hear me? For now I just want you to enjoy your meal and rest some more. We gon’ talk about everything tomorrow.” With that he placed a kiss on your forehead. One on each cheek. On your nose before finally landing on your lips.
Yeah, you can’t comprehend how you were able to make it through the past few days without his lips on yours.
The kiss got hungrier. Messier. Each one pouring their all in the kiss. Hand’s roaming all over. Gropping, kneading, massaging the flesh.
As his hands found your breast and left a squeeze you couldn’t help but moan in his mouth. The vibration shooting straight to his member.
Breaking the kiss for air, your lips found themselves leaving open mouth kisses on his neck, sucking licking. Trailing up to his ears as your hands simultaneously found themselves going south, straight in his pants.
At the contact, his thighs jolted as your soft hands found him.
Your fingers found themselves playing with the his bulbous head. Spraying the already present thick liquid all over it. His thick leg’s spread apart to give you more access.
By now you, were straddling only one of his thick thighs. Rotating your hips chasing that sweet friction. You were definitely high off the pleasure.
Retracting the hand that was in his pants, you brought it up to your lips, licking around the digit. Sucking it like honey. He watched intently. Eyes narrowing lightly.
He took the finger that was in your mouth, coated with your saliva, and put it in his own mouth.
You proceeded to get on your knees ready to present him your excuses the only way you knew for now and show him how much you missed him.
“Wait, wait, what’re you doing?”
“What it look like?-”
“Nah baby, you don’t gotta do none of that.”
It wasn’t rare for you to use sex as a means to escape whatever mess going on in your head. Stack knew that. He never wanted you to feel like you were obligated to do anything.
“I want to. Please.”
“You sure?”
“Mhhm” You said eagerly. Mouth already salivating at the thought of what was about to happen.
Who was he to stop you. Sure he didn’t want you to feel like you had to do any of that but also if you wanted to he wasn’t going to stop you. Lord knows his body missed you bad.
One things for sure, it was going to be a long night.
Don’t forget to comment and reblog. Thank you for reading! 💋

Tumblr media
The weight of that night lingered in every breath you took. The memory of Joel's touch, his hands tracing every inch of your body, had seared itself into your skin, refusing to fade. It wasn't just the physicalㅡ it was the way his voice had trembled when he whispered your name. The way he'd held you like you were something sacred something he couldn't afford to lose. But you both knew that after last night, everything had changed. There was no going back
The secret you now carried inside you was heavier, pulling you further into an abyss you couldn't climb out of. And the worst part? You wanted more. Now that, you had tasted what it felt like to have him, the craving for him was worse than ever. You were addicted. The first morning without him felt empty wrong. You should have been able to bury the night, to bury the guilt, but instead, it gnawed at you, weaving into the longing that wrapped itself around your chest like a vice. You scrolled through your phone again, reading the last text he had sent.
• miss you, baby. I can't stop thinking about you. Wish it was you here with me.
your heart twisted in your chest as you read it again, your fingers hovering over the screen, aching to respond. He was gone. He had left early that morning with your mother, whisked away on a honeymoon that was supposed to be filled with love and joy: A honeymoon that, in a cruel twist of fate, was meant to celebrate his new life with her.
But here he was, texting you and you couldn't help but answer the pull that tied you to him. You could practically hear his voice when you read his words, feel the roughness of his hand brushing against your skin in the way your body still hummed with
the memory of him, and your cunt still felt him deep inside of you. Your fingers shook as you typed your response:
• I miss you too.
You stared at the words, hating yourself for them, but unable to stop. You hit send before you could think twice. A sick sort of thrill coursed through you as you imagined him reading it, imagined him lying next to your mother, his phone lighting up with your message, pulling him back to you even from miles away.
You had woken up in his arms, tangled in the sheets, the air between you still thundering with the afterglow of the forbidden but impossibly sweet. You had watched him get dressed in silence, his eyes lingering or you with a mixture of longing and regret before he had leaned down, kissed you hard, and whispered, "This changes everything." that it had. You hadn't stopped thinking about him a second since. But the worst part was, neither had he. Another message came through, lighting up your phone, pulling you from your thoughts.
• I need you. Being here with her feels wrong, baby. don't know how I'm gonna survive his week without touching you. ❤️
your breath caught in your throat as yot read it, heat blooming low in your belly. He missed you. He wanted you. Even while he was supposed to be with her, on their honeymoon, he was thinking about you.
You hated the way it thrilled you, how the hought of him being with your mother didn't make you sick with jealousy, but instead only intensified the twisted longing that had wrapped itself around your heart. You knew it was wrong, god, it was so wrong, but now that you'd had him, you couldn't stop wanting more. You typed back, your fingers moving quickly, not giving yourself a chance to reconsider.
• need you, joel, I dunno know how to do this.
the truth of those words settled over you. you didn't know how to do this. how to navigate this mess of secrets and lies, of immense guilt. All you knew was that the need for him hadn't gone away: it had only grown stronger. As you waited for his response, you lay back in your bed, staring up at the ceiling. you mind replaying every moment of the night before. Your phone buzzed again.
• ill find a way for us to be together.
it was insane. It was dangerous. But he means it. And so did you. this impossibly tangled knot that you couldn't unravel, no matter how hard you tried. And part of you didn't want to. You wanted him. Still. More now than ever.
Your phone vibrated once more
•When I get back, I need to see you. Alone We'll figure this out, I promise.
You were already too far gone
Joel’s name lit up your phone screen, the buzzing pulling you from your thoughts. It was a shock, seeing him call. You hesitated for a moment, your thumb hovering over the screen, before finally answering. “Hey,” you said softly, your voice shaking slightly. “Hi, baby.." Joel’s voice came through low and rough, like gravel under your feet. There was a pause before he spoke again, the silence thick. “I couldn’t wait any longer. I had to hear your voice.”
Your heart plummeted at his words. The sound of his voice alone sent a shiver through you, bringing back everything from the night before—the touch of his hands, the way he’d kissed you like he couldn’t get enough, the feeling of him filling you up. You swallowed hard, your voice barely a whine. “I’ve been thinking about you all day,” you confessed. There was a soft sound from him, almost like a groan, the tension in his voice unmistakable. “I’ve been thinking about you too, baby. I can’t stop. You under me like that, full of my cockㅡ it’s all I can think about. I keep replaying it. I miss you so much.”
Your breath caught in your throat. Hearing him say it made it all so real, the intensity of it, the wrongness, and yet how much you both wanted it anyway. You squeezed your eyes shut, the memory of his hands on you still fresh, your skin tingling. “It’s been so hard," you whispered. “ I hate that you’re there with her...” The words slipped your lips before you could process them. He exhaled deeply, like he was struggling to hold himself back. “I know,” he muttered, his voice tight. “I’m trying to be here, I really am, but all I can think about is you. You’re all I want. I wish I was with you right now, not here.”
What he was saying hit you hard. He was supposed to be on his honeymoon, with your mother. But here he was, calling you, telling you how much he missed you, how much he wanted to touch you, hear you moan his name again. It was twisted, but you couldn’t deny the way it made you feel—desired, important, needed. “Joel...” You didn’t even know what you were asking for. You just wanted to hear him say more, to fill the aching silence between you. “I can’t stand being away from you,” he said, his voice cracking slightly. “Being here with her… it’s all wrong. 'm thinkin' about you the whole time. I want to be with you, not hidin' this.” The admission made your heart race, your body responding to the urgency in his words. You sat up on your bed, the phone pressed tight against your ear, needing to hear more.
“I need you,” you whispered, not caring anymore about what it meant. “I don’t know how to stop wanting you, Joel. I made everything worse. I don’t know what to do.” Joel’s voice came through soft but strained. “I don’t want you to stop. I don’t want this to end. I need you too, baby. I’ve needed you for so long, and now that I’ve had you…” He trailed off, breathing heavy on the other end of the line. “I can’t stop thinking about it. About us. I don’t know how I’m going to survive this week without you.”
Your heart ached hearing him say it. You imagined him there, lying next to your mother, feeling the same torment that was tearing you apart. The thought should have made you feel worse, but all it did was make you crave him more. “When you get back...” you began, your voice unsteady. “What’s going to happen?” There was a pause, tension .” I don't know, little girl. But I need my hands on you again, feel you around me, kiss yaㅡ we'll figure it out."
Before you could respond, you heard a faint sound in the background—your mother’s voice, calling for him. Your stomach twisted, the weight of everything crashing down on you. You felt like throwing up. He was still with her, still living this life he didn’t want, while you waited, caught in the middle of it all. “I have to go,” Joel said quickly, his voice urgent. “But I’ll call you again. I miss you, baby. We’ll figure this out.”
And then the line went dead.
You stared at the phone in your hand, the silence deafening. Your mind raced, thoughts tumbling over one another, but all you could think about was him—how much you still wanted him, even knowing how wrong it was. The pull between you was too strong, and you didn’t know how to stop. his last words were ringing in your ears—“We’ll figure this out.” But would you? Could you?
Your hand shook as you placed the phone down, the weight of everything suddenly pressing down on you with crushing force. The room felt colder, emptier, like all the air had been sucked out the moment his voice disappeared from the other end of the line. You had been holding it together, balancing the edge of something dangerous and intoxicating, but now, in the quiet of your room, the dam finally broke. You pressed your palms to your face, feeling the burn of tears already welling in your eyes. You couldn’t stop it. The guilt, the longing, the impossibility of it all—it came crashing down like a wave, and you were powerless against it.
A sob escaped your throat, low and broken, as you curled into yourself, hugging your knees to your chest. The tears came hot and fast, spilling down your cheeks in heavy streams. You didn’t even try to hold them back. You wiped at your eyes, but the tears kept falling, your breath coming in sharp, uneven gasps. You hated this—hated how torn you felt. Hated that, despite knowing how wrong it was, you couldn’t stop wanting him. It made everything feel impossible. You wanted him so badly, it ached. But the guilt—it clung to you, wrapped itself around your heart and squeezed, suffocating you with its weight.
The sobs came harder, your body trembling as you rocked yourself, trying to find some sort of release from the storm inside you. The image of Joel lying beside your mother, on their honeymoon, gnawed at you, twisting the knife deeper into your chest. How had you let it come to this? How had you fallen so far, wanting something you knew you could never truly have?
But even through the disgust, through the pain, you couldn’t stop thinking about him. His voice, his touch, the way he had looked at you. It had felt real. Too real. And now it was like you were caught in a spiral, unable to pull yourself out. You cried harder, the sound of your sobs filling the quiet room, your heart breaking under the weight of it all. You pressed your face into your knees, feeling the dampness of your tears soak through the fabric of your jeans.
It wasn’t supposed to be like this. You had wanted to make your mother happy, to stay away, to be the good daughter. But Joel—he had always been the one thing you couldn’t resist. And now that you had crossed that line, there was no going back.
The phone buzzed softly beside you, the screen lighting up with a new message. You didn’t need to look at it to know who it was. Even now, your heart still reached for him, wanting more of the thing that was tearing you apart. But you couldn’t. Not right now.
So, you sat there, curled up in your bed, crying alone, knowing that despite everything, despite the pain, you were already too deep. And you weren’t sure how to climb out.
the time slipped through your fingers.
The sun had barely set when you heard the familiar sound of tires crunching on the gravel outside. Your heart raced in your chest as you glanced out the window, the bright glow of the headlights cutting through the dusk. Joel’s truck. They were back. He was back. you hated that he had to go away for work so often. even though the honeymoon ended early, he had to leave again for something regarding his job, so this was the first time you saw him in weeks.
The past week had felt endless—long days filled with quiet moments where you found yourself staring at your phone, hoping for a message that never came. After that phone call, everything had felt suspended, like you were teetering on the edge of something you could never go back from. You had tried to keep yourself busy, but every time your mind wandered, it drifted back to him—the sound of his voice, the memory of his touch. The longing, the guilt, the jealousy... it was all there, swirling together in a storm you couldn’t control.
You stood by the window, watching as Joel’s truck pulled into the driveway next to your mother’s. He climbed out, his tall figure silhouetted against the setting sun, a bag slung over his shoulder. You saw him exchange a few words with your mother, who was already standing on the porch, a wide smile on her face as she rushed over to greet him.
You blinked, shaking off the sudden wave of jealousy that washed over you. Stop it, you told yourself. She’s your mother, and he’s with her. You pulled away from the window, trying to steady your breath. But it didn’t help. The pit in your stomach only grew deeper. You couldn’t escape the feeling—the weight of what had happened, the shame that gnawed at you. You had always known this day would come, but that didn’t make it easier to face.
The doorbell rang, sharp and sudden. You froze for a second, your heart thudding against your ribs. Your mother called out, “I’ll get it!” But you knew it wasn’t her who he had come for. it was you. so you rushed in front of her, muttering a soft "i got it." When you opened the door, you saw him standing there, looking every bit like the man you had spent the last weeks fantasizing about. His dark hair was tousled, his eyes still shadowed from the exhaustion of travel, but there was something else—something hungry.
He was wearing a simple flannel, sleeves rolled up to reveal strong, calloused forearms. He looked worn, but somehow more real than before. More him. You could feel your nipples harden at his sight. “Hey,” he said softly, his voice low.
You nodded, feeling the tension coil tighter between you. For a moment, neither of you said anything—just stood there, caught in the gravity of what had happened, what you both knew but weren’t quite ready to speak.
Your mother’s voice interrupted the silence. "Come on in," she called out from the living room. "I was just looking at the pictures from the trip. Joel, why don’t you show her the ones we took from the beach?" Joel glanced at you, his eyes searching your face, but you forced yourself to smile, hiding the turbulence inside. You could already feel it— those pictures, the idea of him sharing his time with her, touching her, laughing and smiling while you were here, waiting, stuck between two worlds.
As you stepped into the living room, Joel followed, and your mother handed him a small photo album that just came in the mail with a beaming smile. "Look at this one, Joel. It’s from the sunset on the beach. I swear, the sky was never so perfect!" she exclaimed before heading to the kitchen to make some drinks for the three of you. Joel opened the album, flipping through the pictures. There they were—Joel and your mother, side by side, arms wrapped around each other, smiling as they stood by the ocean. You could see the joy in your mother’s face—the happiness you had always wanted for her, but it still stung. The sight of them together made your chest tighten with something you didn’t want to acknowledge. were you jealous?
Joel glanced up at you, sensing your discomfort. He cleared his throat, his voice lower than usual, as if he was trying to say something that hadn’t quite formed yet. "I missed you," he said quietly, glancing back at the pictures.
You stared at the photo of Joel and your mother standing on the beach, their hands intertwined. The image of them together, so carefree and happy, only deepened the ache inside you. You clenched your jaw, feeling the jealousy flare up—jealous of the way they had spent those days together. Jealous that he had touched her, laughed with her, shared moments you had longed for. He caught the shift in your mood, the way your eyes narrowed at the pictures. You couldn’t hide it. Joel stepped closer, his tone more serious now. "Hey, don’t look at it like that. babyㅡ"
You blinked, feeling the sting of unshed tears. "Like what?" You asked, trying to mask the hurt in your voice. "Like I’m..." He paused, his eyes searching yours, his hand hovering, almost as if he wanted to reach out but stopped himself. "Like I was with her, and not with you."
"But you were." You blurt it out.
Your heart hammered in your chest. The way he said it made the jealousy bubble up even more, but there was something else in his voice too—something like regret, like he was just starting to feel what had happened between the two of you. "I just..." You swallowed hard, your throat tight with emotion. "I can’t do this, Joel. Seeing you with herㅡ it hurts."
Joel’s face softened, and he took a step closer, his hand finally finding yours. His touch was grounding, reassuring in a way you hadn’t expected. "Hey, look at me," he said softly. "It wasn’t like that. I’m with her, sure. I promised her, and I’m tryin' to be a good man for her, but it’s not the same. You’re different. You’ve got a hold on me, baby. on my soul and heart. I can’t explain it.." You stared at him, your heart a mess of confusion and desire. His words sent a wave of relief through you, but it didn’t erase the pain. You wanted him, but he was still bound to your mother, and that fact ate at you from the inside out.
"I can’t pretend," Joel said, his thumb brushing the back of your hand. "it’s not something I can just ignore. And I won’t let it destroy you or me. It’s just... hard to figure out where to go from here." Your breath caught in your throat. "I don’t want to lose you," you whispered. "But I don’t know how to do this—how to live in this space between what’s right and what feels so damn wrong."
Joel’s expression darkened for a moment, the weight of the situation pressing down on him as well. He lifted your hand to his lips, pressing a gentle kiss against your knuckles. "I know it’s messy," he murmured. "But it’s not goin' anywhere. I’m not goin' anywhere."
There was no easy answer, no clear path to walk. But in that moment, as you stood in the same room as Joel and your mother, no matter how hard you tried to fight it, you knew that whatever happened, you couldn’t walk away from him.
Not now. Not ever.
The early evening sun cast a golden glow across the kitchen as your mom stood in front of the mirror, giving herself one last look before grabbing her purse. She hummed to herself, the excitement of her night out with friends clear in her every movement. She was still glowing from the wedding, from the honeymoon. The happiness on her face felt like a knife in your chest.
"You're sure you'll be alright here?" she asked, her voice light, not really expecting a different answer from you. " I won't be too late." You nodded, trying your best to keep your smile steady. "Yeah, Mom. We'll be fine. You deserve to have fun." Your mom turned to Joel, who was leaning casually against the kitchen counter, his hands tucked into his pockets. "And you.." she teased, stepping closer to him and pressing a kiss to his cheek. "I know you're not much of a party guy. Try not to be too boring while l'm gone."
Joel chuckled lightly, a smile twitching at the corner of his mouth. "I'Il behave,"' he promised, though his eyes flicked toward you for just a moment. a brief, loaded glance that made your heart flutter.
Your mom laughed, oblivious to the tension in the room, as she slung her purse over her shoulder. "Alright, don't wait up for me. I'll be back later." She waved, her heels clickingsoftly against the floor as she headed out the door.
The sound of the car starting up, the engine humming, and the tires rolling down the driveway were the last reminders of her presence before the house fell into silence. The quiet between you and Joel was immediate, heavy, as if the very walls of the house knew something had shifted. You stood there, not sure what to do. "Guess it's just us now," Joel said, his voice low, rough around the edges. He knew what he was doing. You swallowed hard, trying to keep your voice steady.
"Yeah... just us." You could feel his eyes on you, the same gaze that always seemed to see right through to the heart of you, the gaze that made you feel vulnerable exposed.
Joel pushed off from the counter, taking a few slow steps toward you. His movements were deliberate, careful. "You alright, baby?" You looked away, trying to gather your thoughts, trying to pull together some semblance of control, but it was no use. "I thought i could handle it, being here with you..." Joel's jaw tightened, and he stepped closer, his eyes never leaving yours. "It's been hard for me too," he said quietly, his voice strained. He reached out slowly, his hand brushing your arm, the touch so soft it sent a shiver through you. "This whole thing," he muttered, his eyes dark, intense, "it's not what I thought it would be. Not with you here. It ain't easy for me either."
Your pulse raced as you looked up at him, your eyes meeting his. "I don't know how to stop," you whispered, your voice trembling. Joel's hand moved to your waist, his grip gentle but firm. His touch was warm, grounding, but the fire between you was undeniable. "I can't stop." he admitted, his voice barely above a whisper. "i've tried, but..."
He trailed off, his eyes flicking to your lips. You could feel the pull between you growing stronger, the tension wrapping tighter around you, making it harder to breathe. "Joel.." you gasped, not sure what you were asking for. "I know, baby.." you couldn’t bring yourself to pull away. "I need you." you finally muster some courage. Joel's eyes darkened at your words, and before you knew it, his lips were on yoursㅡ soft at first, tentative, but when he felt you respond, the kiss deepened. His hand moved up your back, up into your hair, pulling you closer, his touch igniting something inside you that you had been trying to keep buried.
The kiss was everything you had been wanting, everything you had been denying yourself. It was soft but intense, slow but deliberate, and it left you breathless. But even as you kissed him, even as his hands gripped your waist, pulling you into him, the reality of it all lingered in the back of your mind.
you pull back for a second. "We shouldn't be doing this." Joel's grip tightened on you, his eyes searching yours. "i know, darli'. we shouldn't." He pulled you in again, his lips finding yours, and this time there was no hesitation, no second-guessing. It was raw, intense, and everything you had been craving. His hands moved over your back, your arms, as if he couldn't get enough of you, as if he had been holding back for too long. You let yourself forgef everything. He picks you up and places you on the cold kitchen counter, your legs wrapping around his middle. "Need'a taste you, sweet thing." You moan as he undresses you from your flimsy shorts, pulling them down and getting on his knees in front of you. "No panties, baby? filthy little thing." Though it wasn't on purpose, you can't help but blush at his reaction. Joel inched closer, rogh beard rubbing against your plush skin, making you jolt. finally, he sticks his tongue out, dragging it through your dripping folds. you grab onto the counter, leaning back on your hands as you try to bite back moans. "Look at ya, dirtying your moms counter. don't you feel bad?" he teases. you don'tㅡ for anything. it all fades away. the moment he digs into you, your eyes roll to the back of your head. joel circles his tongue around your swollen bud agonizingly slow. you try to push his head further, signal him to go faster, but he's adamant that he takes his time.
it doesn't take long until you feel yourself unraveling, that pit forming into your tummy as your muscles tense up. Just then, Joel pulls away with that, leaving you gasping for air. "Not yet, baby. want you to come on my cock." he was so vile, wiping his face with the shirt he had on before undoing his pants. they fall to his ankles and he scoots closer so that he's between your legs, his lenght resting snug between your puffy lips.
"Please, joel, don't do this to me.." You whine, unable to resist longer. "Pretty desperate thing. 's okay, I'll give it to you." With that, he pulls you closer and aligns himself with you dripping entrance. even if it wasn't the first time with him, it still stings, the stretch deliciously painful. "Fuck, baby, look at that. this pussy was made for me, yeah? say it baby. say this pussy is mine." he grabs you harshly by your face, as he pushes in fully. " 's all y-yours, joel, 'm all yours."
"damn right you are. my little girl, so eager to take my cock.." he deliberately snaps his hips, the tip slipping past your cervix. the pain was taking over your body, and you let yourself sob as joel holds you close while he starts moving. " 's okay, sweet thing. i got you. you're alright, you can take it." you are alright.
Joel leans down to capture your lips into another kiss. His lips are warm and inviting, igniting a spark within your core. The kiss deepens, filled with an intensity that speaks of desire. His hands slide down to your waist, pulling you closer as his fingers trace delicate patterns on your skin. The world around you blurs as he pushes inside of you faster, harder, and you hiss softly through the kiss. he's moving his hips the same rhythm as your heart that was pounding against your chest. "I can never get enough of you.." he growls through broken grunts as he moves into you, your walls clenching around him. "Joel, godㅡ" he leans down again, planting soft pecks across your collar bones and down to your breasts. "yeah? c'mon baby, tell me how good it feels."
"feels so good.." Your moans echo through his head like a melody, and you can feel Joel's grip onto your waist growing tighter. the familiar pool into your lower belly makes its presence known as your back arches against his hold, one hand slipping under one of your thighs as his lips write kisses from your neck to your pebbled nipples "I'm so closeㅡ" Your little cries are enough to send him over the edge. "I love you so much, baby, shitㅡ 'm gonna come some deep in you. feel me in your little tummy?"
your heart almost stops. he loves you. joel loves you. he said he loves you while he's drilling into you on your mom's countertop. and he's your mom's husband. as he's fucking deeper into you, the words slip out without warning, no second-guessing. "I love yㅡou, Joel!" he closes his eyes, forehead resting agains yours as his hips buckle from releasing white ropes of warm liquid inside of your velvet walls, the feeling overwhelming and suffocating. you wait for him to calm down a bit before you bring your hands to his face and pull him up for another kiss. You both catch your breath. finally, he breaks the silence, while taking his shaft out of your pulsing cunt.
"fuck, baby... look at the mess you made. you bad girlㅡ lick it up now." you whimper as you try to move your limp body down the counter, bending yourself over to lick up the juices and come that dripped from you. joel licks his lips, watching as his seed trickles down your thighs. he takes two fingers and with no warning sticks them up in you, as you still lick the cold surface. "Want it all in you." you feel his warm, thick fingers swirling around your cunt, pushing back in any come that may have slipped out. "You'll look so pretty with my baby in you."
Joel loves you.

Tumblr media
sukuna's steps echoed through the corridor as he made his way to his bed chambers. he knew you'd be there, you always were. it was the same routine every time. you fight, someone storms off, and then a few days go by until one of you fold and come crawling back. it was a twisted game that had continued on for centuries at this point.
he swung the door open, eyes falling upon your figure perched on the edge of his bed.
"welcome back." his voice was rough, blunt, but deep down there was a hint of something else. he felt a warmth inside of him that he'd been ignoring since the day you waltzed into his life. a comfort in knowing you were safe, that you were home. but as always, he quickly brushed the feeling off before it could settle.
"enough is enough." you murmur, fidgeting with your hands in your lap. "we can't keep doing this, sukuna." you say, the words filling the room with even more tension.
he scoffs, stepping closer as he leans down, his face just inches from your own. "how pitiful." he laughs as he takes in the way you avoid his gaze. "so how do you plan to stop this then? hm? surely you have a solution prepared if you're willing to whine about it so confidently." he says tilting his head and raising his eyebrows mockingly.
"you don't have to be an asshole." you retort, eyes narrowing with a glare as you finally meet his gaze. his smirk gets wider when he recognizes the anger in your voice.
"must we have this conversation every time?" he says, crossing his arms over his chest. his shadow looming over your sitting figure. "you say we need to stop, I agree to disagree, and guess what happens next," he leans down, gripping your chin tightly. "you almost never leave, and the few times you do," he leans in closer, lips brushing against yours, "you always return."
he closes the gap between you, his grip on your chin loosening as his hand moves to cup your cheek. his touch rough, a collapsed thumb brushing over your cheekbone. his lips molded against yours, moving in perfect tandem, as that's what they were made for.
"if this isn't what you want, why do you return?" his voice is low, he dips down kissing and nipping at your neck as he helps you undress with ease. you knew deep down you should say no, let this vicious cycle end here.
but the way his hands moved down your body, practically tearing your clothing off. the way he guided your hand to the growing bulge in his pants before slipping them off with everything else. the way he looked at you as he slowly teased the head of his cock against your entrance, it made you forget why you ever wanted to leave him in the first place.
you hated that he was right, hated the way his touch still gave you butterflies after all this time, the very thought of it made you nauseous. yet in moments like this, the only thing you could think about was his large hands roaming your body. the way his lips feel against your collarbone, his breath warming your skin.
"you will never leave me." his deep voice rumbles into the crook of your neck as his arms wrap around your waist, his hips finding their pace as he finally bottoms out inside of you. "I will make sure of it," he captures your lips in another kiss, "I will find you, no matter where you try to hide. no matter who you try to beg to save you, it's no use." he rambles on as his hips speed up their pace, a shiver running down your spine.
your nails drag down his back, moans muffled against his shoulder. his words barely register in your mind, but you can tell by his tone that it's a promise. there's no where in this world Sukuna wouldn't go to find you, to bring you back to him, where you belong.
"we're destined for each other," he continued, his voice rough as his thrusts become sloppier, "even if I hate it." he gritted out, "even if you hate it."
he leans down, resting his forehead against yours, breath fanning over your face. "let go. submit to me, like you always do." his words no longer carried that familiar sharpness to them. instead they were replaced with a small sense of vulnerability that you'd never get used to hearing. almost like he was begging, pleading with you to just listen. but his strength still loomed over you, the glare in his eyes that reassured you what he'd do if you dared to even insinuate his weakness.
he groaned as he felt your walls flutter around his cock, angling his hips so he could hit that spot you love so much. he lets out a deep moan as your back arches, his head dropping back into the crook of your neck as his hips stuttered in their rhythm. his cock twitches inside of you, a moan of satisfaction leaves your lips as he fills you up.
"mine." he murmurs, his voice low and rough as his thrusts begin to slow. he lifts his head to lock his gaze with yours, his eyes narrow, possession filling them as he speaks, "you belong to me. do not forget that." his tone was sharp, leaving no room for second guessing
"what if I don't want to belong to you?" your voice comes out in a raspy whisper, your words shaky as you struggle to catch your breath. his gaze remains locked with yours, eyes narrowing ever so slightly.
"bold of you to assume you have a choice."

it wasn’t common for heats to start late, especially well into your 20’s. but it wasn’t anything to worry about too much either. you remembered being jealous of the other omegas you knew when their first heat hit. wanting to ‘fit in’ and relate to them, but now, you were eating all those previous feeling. this shit was hell.
your body is on fire, the heat that you’d had been trying to fight off instead made you restless and desperate for relief. it's been building for days now, and you know you need to find release soon or risk going mad, the stress wasn’t good for any omega. let alone a sweet, innocent lil thing like you.
you hear a knock on your door, and you know it's toji. his scent is like no other alpha you’ve ever been around. it’s a deep musk, with faint hints of sandalwood. his scent alone, through your door even, is enough to have you gasping for air. your body physically reacting to the way he smells.
you open the door and there he stands, tall and muscular, his black hair falling loosely around his sharp features. he raises an eyebrow at the sight of you, dressed only in a thin shirt that clings to your sweaty body, your nipples hard and straining against the fabric.
"well, little omega, you're looking ripe," he says, his voice deep and full of promise. "could smell ya’ from a mile away." he’s staring down at you, his own body reacting to just how sweet you smell. he had been attempting to court you for a while now, you always smelled so good to him. but this? he was intoxicated.
you shiver at his words, your pussy clenching as a wave of desire washes over you. every rational thought flying from your head the moment his scent wafted towards your overly sensitive, twitchy nose. it was stronger than when your door was shut, almost knocking you back on your ass.
"please, toji," you beg, your voice hoarse and needy, not knowing what you were even pleading for. "it’s t’much. hurts." a slow, dangerous smile spreads across his face, and he steps towards you, taking your face in his hand, his touch firm and demanding.
"gonna take care of you, doll," he growls, his thumb brushing your cheek. "but y’gotta do as I say and give yourself to me completely.” you whimper, nodding eagerly, already lost in the haze of your need and his commanding presence.
without warning, he presses his lips to yours, kissing you hard, his tongue demanding entry to your mouth. you moan into the kiss, your hands clutching at his shirt as he backs you into the room, kicking the door shut behind him. he breaks the kiss, his green eyes burning with desire as he looks down at you.
"get rid of em’," he commands, speaking about your clothes. he snaps the waistband of your flimsy pajama shorts to further prove his point. his voice, rough with want. "wanna see what i got t’work with."
you quickly strip, your hands shaking as you reveal your bare body to him, your breasts heaving as you pant with anticipation. toji growls low in his throat, lust flashing in his eyes.
"such a pretty lil’ thing," he says, reaching out to cup your breast, squeezing it roughly. You whimper out at his touch, your knees buckling as pleasure spikes through you.
"more.. please.." you plead, your hands clinging to his broad shoulders. with a rough laugh, he pushes you back onto the bed, following you down, his weight pressing you into the mattress. he pulls away slightly, taking in the sight of you spread out before him, your legs falling open easily.
"such a needy omega," he teases, reaching down to stroke your inner thigh. "lil’ pussy already s’wet for me hm?" you blush, feeling your face heat up even as your core burns with need.
"all f’you toji.." you whisper, lifting your hips up towards his hand, seeking more contact. he chuckles, tracing the outline of your sex with his finger, teasing you mercilessly.
"greedy little thing, aren't you?" he murmurs, dipping his finger into your slick folds, collecting your essence on his finger. he raises his hand to his mouth, sucking your juices off with a lewd noise. "fuck.." he growls, licking his lips. "..i could feast on you all day."
you squirm beneath him, your body arching off the bed, desperate for friction. "touch me," you beg, your hands now tugging at his clothing. "need you so bad." a dark, satisfied smile stretches across his face, and he sits up, quickly shedding his clothes, revealing his hard, muscular body and thick cock, straining towards you.
"bossy too," he laughs, positioning himself at your entrance. he wanted to take his time with you, open you up for him. there would be other times for that though, the slick pouring from your pussy was driving him insane. he was just as impatient as you were.
with a hand pressed against the pillows your head was resting on, he uses his other to grip the base of his cock. sliding the tip through your drenched folds, basking in the slick sounds that started filling the room mixed with your small puffs of air and high pitched whimpers. finally, he began to push in slowly.
you cry out, your body trembling as you adjust to his size. he was huge, and thick too. your eyes glanced down to where he was splitting you open, widening realization just how stretched your cunt looked taking just half of him. toji groans, his eyes rolling back in pleasure.
"so tight, so fucking perfect," he grits out, beginning to move, he fucked you with half of his cock for a while, you were squeezing him too tight for him to push anymore into you. the hand that was once on his cock moved to splay across your lower tummy, hands large enough that his thumb could press against your clit at the same time.
the small amount of pressure was enough to throw you over the edge unexpectedly. a violent orgasm ripped through your body, slick coating his cock while clear fluid sprayed, splashing against his torso and back on to you. it was messy, so fucking messy. but you couldn’t find the time to be embarrassed when it ripped an animalistic growl from toji.
“oh.. you fuckin’ dirty girl.” your back arched off the bed while your mouth dropped into a silent scream. with one sharp thrust he buried the rest of his cock into you. “cumming all over me, making a mess.” it was mean, he knew it was mean. your poor cunt already battered from just half of him, but the way you squeezed down on him while you came— he needed to feel it again. this time around his full cock.
you start to meet his thrusts, your body moving in perfect rhythm with his, the bed rocking with the force of your joining. toji leans down, capturing your mouth in a hungry kiss, his tongue dueling with yours as his hands grip your hips, pulling you onto his cock again and again.
the room fills with the wet sounds of your coupling, your moans and cries echoing off the walls as toji fucks you relentlessly. You can feel your orgasm building again, your body coiling tighter and tighter with pleasure.
"m’close," you gasp, your nails digging into his shoulders. "gonna cum-" this time you were able to at least feel the orgasm building up in you. you gaze up at him, eyes glazed over with lust and teary.
"not yet doll, almost there.." he grunts, his hips are moving sloppier now. you can feel the swell of his knot every time his hips slap against the back of your thighs. you were squeezing down on him tightly, trying to hold back the orgasm that was threatening to rip through you.
“knot.. knot. please toji, knot.” you were chanting, begging, pleading, all of it. he almost blew his load just hearing you beg for his knot. he looked down between your bodies, a dull pang of uncertainty pressed at his chest. he was, large. he had came to terms that most omegas wouldn’t be able to actually take his knot.. but you were begging so prettily, how could he deprive you?
“it’s gonna hurt doll..” toji wheezes out, hissing when you squeeze down on him tighter. he looks back up towards your face, which was now messy with tears and drool. another smile pulls at his lips, the scar stretching along with it. he’d give you anything, everything.
you start to whine and try to push your hips on to him, attempting to push his knot in you for him. toji’s eyes rolled into the back of his head watching you try to fuck him back.
“fuck fuck fuck, cum for me. milk my cock doll, give it to me.” toji growled, falling to his elbows above you. your chest pressed against his, skin on skin sending your core trembling around him.
his words send you over the edge, and you cry out as your orgasm crashes over you, your body shaking as waves of pleasure ripple through you.
toji groans, his hips stuttering as he continues to thrust, his own release building.
"good fuckin’ girl.." he groans, his eyes fixed on where your bodies are joined as he watches his length disappear into your depths, fat knot slowly starting to stretch you further. "can't hold out much longer..."
you whimper, still sensitive from your climax, as he pounds into you, his balls slapping against your ass. you felt the sharp pain of him finally pressing his know into you, your eyes widened and teeth latched to your bottom lip hard enough to draw blood.
“i know baby, i know…” toji coos, leaning forward towards your face. his hot tongue laps at the blood that was dotting across your bottom lip. he ground his hips into you, allowing himself friction without needing to pull out at all.
“mark.. toji.” you wheezed, weak fingers tangling into the hair that fell along his neck. you tugged him towards your neck, glistening with sweat. animalistic instincts took over him completely, a low growl rattled through his chest and against yours.
“gonna make you mine, fuck.” toji hisses, sharp canines dragging across the delicate skin of your throat. you pushing your neck into his mouth, piercing yourself on his sharp teeth was enough to finally send him over.
with a roar, his hips still, his cock pulsing and knot swelling even further as he fills you, his hot cum shooting deep inside you. the teeth against your neck bite down, both of your eyes roll back at the warmth that floods you both from being marked, and doing the marking.
toji collapses on top of you, breathing heavily, his face still buried in your neck. he laps at the deep bite with his tongue, licking away the blood that dribbled from it.
he kept you plugged with his cock, lifting himself up with strong arm to hover over you once again. a forearm slipped behind your neck, pretty much cradling your head. he was able to keep himself balanced like that while his other hand pressed softly against the back of your head.
“c’mon doll, need you to do it too.” he moved your head towards his exposed neck. toji tilted his head out of the way, chuckling when he felt your own, much smaller, canines pierce his skin. another growl, that sounded more like a purr, vibrated against your lips while you lapped and sucked at his wound the same way he did yours.
you two laid there, for hours, falling asleep with him still inside of you. the pattern of waking up to him rutting into you, fucking, and falling back asleep happened for a few days afterwards. he claimed it as ‘wanting to make sure’ he was taking care of you.

He sat at the end of your bed with ease. Dressed in a white button up, loose black slacks with his black blazer wide open. His tie was loose around his neck. A button or two undone to see his inked skin, two buns and a few short strands fell into place. He had a couple of rings on both hands with his nails painted black for the occasion, a dinner date for two to be exact.
He was waiting patiently for you to get done dolling up for the night.
He observed you from head to toe. Forest green hoodie with the word "chicago" in bold white lettering, a black tennis skirt reached mid thigh and white socks just below your calves.
Your lemonade braids were pulled back into a low pony with your edges swept. Diamond studs and a singular diamond necklance. Mascara, black eyeliner and dark chocolate gloss. You sprayed on a bit of coconut and pineapple scented perfume, examined yourself in the body mirror one last time before turning to Choso.
He was sat oh-so-very nonchalantly, while he bobbed his head to the music. Eyes trained on your physique, they gradually glower up when he notices you smirking and waving the black eyeliner in your hand.
Cotton sheets beneath his fingerprints, he nonchalantly leaned back on his veiny ring clad, hands. Man spreading, with his feet planted firmly on the wooden floor, they tapped away at the beat of the song playing through the flat screen tv. It was light but not distracting. Soothing but not overwhelming.
As you approached him, he was caught off by your bold choice of action. Bottom lip caught between his teeth. He felt the space in his lower region grow tight. Aroused, excited and anxiously waiting, he sat there painfully hard. When you proceeded to straddle him, you felt him freeze in place.
He was tense at the weight of you. Not that you were heavy or anything like that, but...the pressure you applied was not helping his case. Rocking back and forth to readjust your hips, he was sure you could feel him, but you reacted as if nothing was there. "Let's do the right one first. Look up for me." You instructed gently, reaching for his face and starting to outline his eye.
Throughout this entire process, he sat still. Still as a rock, internally freaking out while you moved against him. His fingers started to curl in fists as he tried to restrain himself from rocking up against you.
Loving how your warmth veiled around the pronounced area. Creating just enough friction to make his jaw tighten and his adams apple bob.
When you officially finished the black liner around his eyes and pulled away, you let out a soft chuckle. "Tch, you good?" You asked, getting a good view of the light blush across his cheeks. His eyes fluttering a little, rolling them before looking at you with fake confusion.
"Yeah? Why wouldn't I be?"
You smirked, not saying anything.
He watches you place the cap onto the liner before placing it back in your make up bag, turning to him you fix a few strands before looking into his eyes.
"Because... you're hard as a rock." You snickered.
"Wow, didn't know you could tell." He states sarcastically, rolling his eyes.
"Oh I can tell alright." You amused teasingly.
The bed suddenly squeaks from your sudden rocking back and forth.
A hiss is emitted when you grind on his erection. Immediately his hands grab at your hips and stop you completely.
He frowns. "Really?"
"What?" Feign innocence and a shrug, "I'm just saying baby you're not that hard to notice." You state confidently zipping up the bag and tossing it perfectly onto the dresser.
You turn to him, your arms dangle at his shoulders when you lean forward to bump your nose against his. He scoffs, turning away.
Choso feels you kiss the side of his face delicately, leaving traces of your gloss onto his skin. You giggled at his childish behavior when you heard him start to grumble underneath his breath. Giving you his undivided attention again, only this time he had a pout of his own.
Your eyes are hooded, admiring how your lips gently pressed to his with no hesitation. You kissed deliberately slowly with needy intent, his head tilts a little as he presses his lips further into yours, applying just enough pressure to kiss you deeper.
With every parted moment you could hear him exhale, inhaling that taste of you along his tongue. He could feel your nails scraping gently across his neck, careful not to ruin his hair. You suddenly felt a shiver when his large hand slid up your skirt to grope at your thick, chocolate thigh, his thumb started to caress at your flesh gently. Effortlessly encouraging your arousal to soak your panties, gingerly you could feel the thin material start to stick against your pussy lips as you started to wind your hips.
Internally you were starting to grow antsy, breaking the kiss to let your lips travel towards his jaw. He whines your name at the feeling of your teeth grazing and nibbling at his skin. As you leave love bites at his neck, you mumble, "Want me to make you feel better? We still got time to kill." You reassure, voice hush but still audible.
Choso nearly whimpers, feeling his long digits apply pressure to your pillowy fleshy, to the point they turn white. Choso guides for you to steadily rock against him. His breathing grows heavy, your gazes lock, he gulps down his hesitation, pleas for you with a lustful glare. "Please."
Sticky, wet, sounds filled the four white walls as you ride him. Inch by inch, his dick slid inside your creamy, leaking hole. To the point he could feel your cervix press at his tip. While one arm was wrapped around your waist holding you tightly against him and the other held himself up, he continued to pound into you with persistence.
Addicted to your warmth and walls puckering around him. "Fucking shit just look at you, doll. All small and pathetic, God your fucking shaking baby." He chuckles hauntingly. "I might actually like you in this state, just begging me to fuck you so well. Mm, I can feel you clenching around me baby, you like that don't you? Huh?" He kisses at your cheek, towards your jaw and neck, till he reaches your shoulder blade where he plants his nose and inhales your scent. You wail into his shoulder when his pace starts to grow fast and his thrust feels more rough. Your fingers curl around his blazer for dear life. Lips gaping and eyes clenching. Your sounds grew careless as you whimpered and moan into his shoulder as loudly as you could.
At some point you felt yourself grow tense, breathe shakey and voice cracking. You start to fuck him back when you tell him you're close.
Laying on his back now, his hands held you by the hips with the skirt hunched up. Excited eyes observe his dick fucking into you ten times quicker. To hear you holler and scream his name in shock, your hands gripped at his forearms for leverage.
Becoming a whimpering moaning mess, your mouth parted trying to catch your breath. Your walls start to tighten, squealing like an injured dog as your nails are embedded into his skin, cursing loudly "Shit, baby there...yes, right there!" You cry, toes curling and head lulled back. Shared intense sounds of an oncoming orgasm is heard from down the hall.
"Fuckfuckfuck, fucking...shit!" He grunts, head pressing back into the mattress, his eyes clenched when feels his seeds erupt in your cervix.
There was a moment of stillness between you
Overwhelmed by the intense climax you both shared. You took a deep breathe in to then exhale at the impact of your body falling on top of him.
"Fucking hell, doll." He groans, brushing his hands past your skirt. Warm calloused hands groping at your ass, he chuckles when he feels you start to move again. "Tch, just can't get enough can you dolly?" His gaze snaps down to your mischievous eyes glaring into his.
"No, never." A devilish smirk curls onto your lips.
You moan as your hips bounce back on his pulsating dick, loving the sticky, squelching effect at your center, allowing your shared juices to gush from out your entrance and trace and travel down the length of his dick.

SUMMARY: In the quiet corners of the library, Mattheo Riddle finds his carefully crafted world of solitude disturbed by you; teasing, persistent, and impossibly close. As playful banter turns into an unexpected confrontation, what begins as frustration quickly unravels into something deeper. Surrounded by books and silence, neither of you can deny the undeniable tension building between the two of you. But with secrets lurking in the quiet and a growing attraction neither can ignore, the library might be the least safe place to keep your distance.

It was Friday afternoon and Mattheo was, for lack of a better word, annoyed. The tapping of his pen against the wooden desk echoed in the otherwise silent library, a steady reminder of his mounting frustration. He’d reread the same paragraph at least five times now, the words blurring together into an unhelpful mess.
It wasn’t the subject matter that irritated him, he could handle Defense Against the Dark Arts with ease. No, it was the unmistakable laughter drifting from the other side of the room, soft but persistent, pulling his focus away like an irresistibly irritating charm.
He glanced up, narrowing his eyes in the direction of the disturbance. Of course, it was you. Sitting prettily with a group of friends, comfy clothes and a fluffy blanket draped over your frame and your head thrown back in laughter as though the library wasn’t meant for quiet study but for socializing. Not that he had never done that with his own friends, just… the one time he comes to the library to study, he can’t even finish reading a stupid paragraph.
“Focus,” he muttered to himself, turning back to his book. But it was easier said than done. Mattheo tried to drown out the laughter by diving back into his notes, scribbling down something, anything, that looked like progress. Yet, no matter how hard he tried, the sound seemed to follow him, growing louder in his mind.
“Merlin’s beard” he exhaled sharply, slamming his pen down onto the desk. That earned him a few annoyed glances from nearby students, but he didn’t care. He had always prided himself on his ability to focus under pressure, but this… this was unbearable.
And then, as if to make matters worse, your gaze met his. Across the room, you caught him looking and tilted your head slightly, a faint smirk tugging at your full lips. Mattheo’s stomach did an uncomfortable flip, one he adamantly chose to ignore.
Quickly, he dropped his gaze back to his book, heat creeping up his neck. “Brilliant,” he muttered under his breath. “Just brilliant.”
But the damage was done. Out of the corner of his eye, he could see you whisper something to your friends, and soon enough, you stood up and started walking in his direction.
Mattheo’s fingers curled around the edge of his desk as his brain scrambled for something to say—or some way to disappear entirely. Anything to avoid the confrontation that was now inevitable.
“Hey Riddle, are we… perhaps, bothering you or something?” you asked, your voice dripping with false innocence as you leaned casually against the edge of his desk. “I heard some sighs here and there, so if you have a problem, you’re welcome to voice your concern.”
Mattheo’s jaw tightened, his dark eyes lifting to meet yours. He leaned back slightly in his chair, his expression carefully neutral, though the slight twitch in his jaw betrayed him. “A problem?” he repeated, his voice calm but laced with irritation. “No, no problem. Just enjoying the background noise of your… charming social hour.”
You raised an eyebrow at his tone, that smirk still playing on your lips. “Charming, huh? I didn’t know you paid attention to me enough to notice.” He scoffed, crossing his arms over his chest. “It’s hard not to notice when you’re broadcasting like a damn Howler across the entire library.”
The group of friends you’d left behind stifled a few snickers at his jab, but you didn’t falter. If anything, it seemed to amuse you even more. You leaned in slightly, lowering your voice just enough to make it feel like a challenge.
“Well, Mattheo, if you’d rather I leave you alone to brood over your little book there, just say the word. No need to stew in silence like some tragic hero.”
His eyes narrowed at the teasing edge in your voice, and he felt the heat of frustration mingling with something he refused to acknowledge. “Trust me,” he said coolly, “I’ve survived far worse distractions than you.”
“Oh, I don’t doubt that,” you replied easily, straightening up but keeping your gaze locked on his. “But something tells me this is different.” With that, you turned and walked back to your group, leaving Mattheo with his jaw clenched and his thoughts more scrambled than ever.
- ★、
Mattheo didn’t move for what felt like ages after you returned to your seat. His pen sat forgotten on the desk, his fingers idly brushing over its edge as his mind raced. He told himself it was annoyance, that your relentless teasing and smug little smirk had gotten under his skin. But deep down, he knew better.
You’d been a thorn in his side for weeks now—always a little too sharp with your words, a little too close when you didn’t need to be. And yet, you weren’t like the others. You didn’t cower under his glares or shy away from his sharp remarks. Instead, you leaned in closer, pushing his buttons with a precision that felt maddeningly deliberate.
Finally, he pushed himself to his feet, ignoring the curious glances of nearby students. He didn’t have a plan, not really. All he knew was that he couldn’t sit there any longer, stewing in whatever this was.
You noticed him before he even reached your table, the subtle shift in your posture betraying that you’d been watching him too.
“Back so soon?” you asked, a teasing edge in your voice.
Mattheo stopped just short of your group, his jaw tight and his gaze fixed squarely on you. “I’m voicing my concerns,” he said, his voice calm but with a weight that made your friends fall silent.
Your brows lifted in mock surprise. “Oh? This sounds serious.”
“It is.” He glanced at your friends, who were now watching the two of you with undisguised curiosity. “Alone.”
A ripple of anticipation passed through the group, but you merely stood, shrugging as though it were no big deal. “Lead the way, Riddle.”
He guided you toward a quieter corner of the library, the silence between you heavy but charged with something neither of you acknowledged. When he finally stopped, he turned to face you, his expression unreadable.
“Well?” you asked, folding your arms. “What’s this about?”
Mattheo hesitated, the words he’d rehearsed in his head suddenly feeling inadequate. “You… drive me insane,” he said finally, his voice low.
You blinked, caught off guard by the unexpected confession. “Excuse me?”
“You heard me,” he said, his frustration bubbling to the surface. “You’re always there—laughing, teasing, getting in my head. It’s like you enjoy making everything harder than it needs to be.”
A small smile tugged at the corners of your lips. “Maybe I do,” you said softly. “But you’re not exactly innocent in all this, are you?”
His brows furrowed. “What’s that supposed to mean?”
“It means,” you said, stepping closer, “you’re not the only one who’s been distracted.”
For a moment, his resolve wavered. You were close now, closer than you’d ever been, and he could see the flicker of uncertainty in your eyes that mirrored his own.
“This is dangerous,” he murmured, almost to himself.
“Probably,” you admitted, your voice barely above a whisper. Neither of you moved, the space between you charged with unspoken tension. It wasn’t dramatic or sudden—it was slow, like the weight of the moment was sinking in for both of you.
Mattheo’s fingers twitched at his sides as if he were holding himself back. “You’re not making this easy,” he muttered.
“And you’re not stopping me,” you countered.
That was all it took. His hand lifted, brushing against yours for just a moment before he let himself take the risk. His touch was hesitant, almost testing the waters, but when you didn’t pull away, his grip grew firmer.
His forehead rested lightly against yours, his eyes searching yours as though he were waiting for a sign. You didn’t say anything, but the soft intake of your breath was enough. Slowly, tentatively, he leaned in.
The kiss wasn’t explosive or rushed. It was careful, deliberate, as though both of you were afraid to break the fragile moment. When he pulled back, his gaze lingered on yours, and for the first time, his usual mask of confidence was gone.
“This doesn’t mean anything,” he said, though his voice lacked conviction.
“Sure, Riddle,” you said with a small smile. “Whatever you say.”
But the look in his eyes said otherwise.

well, come and get it now,
when jake agreed to go bar hopping on a regular wednesday night with his friend group, he was not expecting the chain of events that would lead to where he was now.
sure, he was hoping for a good time, especially since wednesdays were designated ‘dollar beers’ and the usually expensive alcoholic drinks were at a more accessible price. it was the perfect opportunity for broke college students to go out and get drunk while on a budget.
that was why he did not put up much of a fight when jay let him know about their plan for the night, quickly coming to terms with the idea that he was going to have to show up to class horribly hungover. he knew no matter how many excuses he offered, jay was not going to take no for an answer.
so, at 8 pm, jake took one last look at himself in the mirror, psyching himself up for what the night had prepared for him, before heading to jay’s place.
come and get it now.
“you made it.”
jay commented as soon as he propped the door to his apartment open, a satisfied smirk adorning his face.
jake trailed behind his friend like a lost puppy, a bit anxious and painfully sober. once they reached the nicely decorated living room, the group was finally complete.
by the look of it –if the others’ flushed cheeks were something to go by–, the night had already begun.
his friends were chatting loudly, the sound of laughter and alcoholic beverages being passed around filled the otherwise neat area. the cold night air made him shudder as he joined the group, the smell of weed coming from the balcony making his lungs burn.
baby, show me what you’re doing,
before he knew it, jake found himself surrounded by sweaty bodies, the stuffy air enhancing the effect of the weed he had smoked earlier. the music blasting out of the multiple speakers scattered around the bar, the bass making his body feel numb.
jake joined his friends, dancing with not a single care in the world, the concerns about school quickly slipping out of his intoxicated mind.
it felt great to finally be able to relax for once.
however, just as he was starting to enjoy the night, he somehow managed to make a fool of himself.
“fuck,” jake yelp, utterly embarrassed. “i’m so sorry, i swear i didn’t mean to spill your drink!”
come and turn around.
“you can make it up to me by getting me a new one?”
the sound of your melodic voice made his head tilt upwards, following the source, shame washing over his body when he got a look at you.
you were hot.
a little stunned by your pretty face, he struggled to say something.
“o-of course!” he blurted out a little too loudly for comfort, and jake’s cheeks grew hot when you giggled at his awkwardness.
we only met each other just the other day,
“i take it this is not your scene?” you wondered out loud, obviously trying to start a conversation with the cute boy.
“uh, something like that,” he mumbled, scratching the back of his head, visibly nervous. “i don’t usually go out on weekdays, especially when i have class morning classes the next day.”
“i see,” you hummed, thinking about your own morning classes tomorrow. but who cared, right? have fun now and deal with the consequences later.
“so, uh, what’s your program?” you smiled to yourself at his attempt at keeping the conversation alive, relieved to know he interested in you enough to engage with you.
“chemistry.”
his eyebrows shot up at your words, impressed.
“no way, i wasn’t expecting that.”
“yeah? what’s yours?”
“physics.”
you gasped loudly, feigning shock, and he smiled abashedly.
“good thing i’m into nerds.”
but you already got me feeling some type of way.
you were so bold with your words, so smooth with the way you flirted with him. your honey-like voice had him blindly agreeing with you, almost in a trance-like state. you could be asking him to trade his soul for a chicken nugget and he would instantly agree, no questions asked.
the way you blinked at him, long lashes fluttering so innocently as your glazed over eyes stared straight through him, spiking up his heart rate. your body leaned closer with his every word, fingers toying with a loose strand of your silky hair in such an endearing way his fuzzy mind could not comprehend.
it had to be illegal to be this attractive.
and you were guilty as charged.
now, if i could figure it out,
one thing led to another and soon your lips were on his plush ones, leaving a kiss that felt like a cup of hot chocolate in the winter. warm and sweet.
jake was able to shake off the initial surprise and deepened the kiss. one hand found its way into the nape of your head, pulling you closer, and the other to the small of your back. his touch was hot and reassuring, allowing you to get lost in the feeling of his mouth on yours.
your short dress rode up revealing more of your thighs as you reached for his broad, strong shoulders for support, your weight leaning on his athletic body. and to your delight, you could already feel the hardening bulge in his pants.
he pulled away, his breathing uneven and lips swollen, appearing dazed.
“wanna get out of here?”
i’d take you back to my house so we can meddle about.
jake barely managed to lock the door before you were pushing him against it, arms going to wrap around his neck to bring him in for a kiss. your hungry lips on his, your hot body against him, the scent of your perfume. the combination of sensations overwhelming his senses and leaving him panting for air.
he couldn’t get enough of you.
jake noted to thank jay later for almost dragging him out of his house.
your ministrations, the gentle but eager touch of your hands and your searing lips on his sensitive neck had jake struggling to keep up, far too aroused to think straight. his pants had become considerably tighter since he met you earlier. and he couldn’t help but push his hips into yours, searching for some much needed relief.
the giggle you let out at his desperate attempt at humping you had a frustrated whimper almost escaping the poor boy.
so pretty.
“aw, is my puppy getting impatient?” you asked in the most taunting tone, getting off on teasing him.
“y/n, please, i need something,” jake pleaded, cock throbbing in his jeans. “anything.”
and who were you to deny such a polite boy?
somehow you both managed to stumble into his room, hands never leaving the other.
‘cause it’s not just a figure of speech,
jake’s body fully sprawled on the bed trembled when you brought a hand to cup the tent in his jeans. his groans only grew louder, raw with desire as you slipped your hand under the fabric and made direct contact with his length.
jake thought he was having a fever dream from how stupidly hot his body felt. each caress of your soft hands had him weak on the knees, hips bucking to follow your touch, not caring about how needy he seemed.
your panties were drenched as you felt him up, mouth watering at the thought of his dick fucking your throat until you choked.
but that could wait. what you needed right now was his mouth on your dripping core.
you got me down on my knees.
“fuck, please,” he whined, “let me taste you.”
jake looked at you from his place on the floor, looking all desperate to get his hands on you. you could see his pretty eyes shining even in the darkness, a glint of need letting you know just how much he wanted you.
slowly, you lifted your dress to reveal your underwear, your fingers teasing the hem of the garment.
he swallowed, his mouth uncomfortably dry. his own fingers itched to reach for you and get your panties off himself, too eager to get more of you to wait.
your eyes scanned the boy in front of you, eyebrows scrunched together, a bead of sweat dripping down his temple. despite your limited vision, you could easily make out the outline of his cock in his pants. you almost wanted to jump straight into business just to get a look, wondering what shade of pink it was.
key word: almost.
“what’s wrong, puppy?” you teased, biting back a smirk. when he only huffed in response, you decided to push further. “speak up, sim, i asked you a question.”
his hard cock twitched from the confines of his jeans at your tone.
you looked annoyed, tapping your foot impatiently as you waited for an answer.
“i need you, please,” his words came out slurred, too horny to care.
you nodded, raising a brow at him. “it wasn’t that hard now, was it?”
his body almost vibrated with excitement when you pulled your panties down your legs. you stepped closer to him once they hit the floor, and his eyes immediately shot to the discarded piece of clothing, breathing getting heavier when he found the wet patch at the crotch.
among the wide range of traits you possessed, liar wasn’t one of them. the sight of him, on his knees, begging to please you, had you rubbing your thighs together. your neglected core dripping with arousal.
“be a good pup and eat me out.”
jake perked up as soon as his brain processed your words, scooting closer without a care for his knees. he hummed when you gasped at the feeling of his tongue licking a stripe up your slit.
it’s getting harder to breathe out.
jake groaned when you pushed his head closer, his nose digging into your pussy and putting pressure on your clit. his hands immediately went to grab at your thighs, gripping them for dear life.
he was enamoured with the way your hips bucked into his mouth, your plush lips letting moans escape. it was like music to his ears.
girl, just scream it out,
jake could barely breathe but he didn’t care. all he could think about was the intoxicating scent of your arousal, how sweet you tasted on his tongue. he could feel a mixture of your juices and his saliva drip down his neck, and he felt like he was about to cum in his pants like a bitch in heat.
his hips desperately humped the air, too engrossed in making you cum all over his face to feel embarrassed. your fingers tangled in his soft locks, tugging at the roots whenever his tongue swiped just right only egging him on to work harder.
tell me what you’re thinking about.
“j-jake,” you whined, feeling the knot in your stomach tightening at the speed of light. “don’t stop.”
bet, he thought.
if the way your thighs were trembling around his head was something to go by, he knew you were close.
feeling you fall apart just from his mouth only was driving him insane. he couldn’t wait to see you take his cock, velvety walls stretched around his thickness. he wanted to hear your sweet moans as you struggled to fit him whole, pussy too tight for such a big dick.
hell, just the idea if it had jake eating you out like he would never get pussy ever again. his skilled tongue poked at your entrance, trying to push it as far as he could, relishing in the squelching sounds filling the room.
“fuck,” he moan into your pussy when you pulled his hair a little harsher than before, the vibrations directly against your clit sending you over the edge.
you swore your mind blanked out for a second there. your orgasm washed over you like a tsunami, leaving you light headed. your body convulsed as if you were experiencing a demonic possession first hand, hips humping jake’s face like a rabid dog, riding out your high. and if it weren’t for jake’s grip on you, you would’ve hit the floor.
once you regained a hint of control over your body, you pushed his head away from your sensitive core.
to your satisfaction, jake looked as equally as fucked out as you. his once pristine shirt was now clinging to his toned body due to the sweat, his dark hair disheveled and sticking to his forehead. his pupils were blown out, chest heaving up and down at a concerningly fast pace.
you had him exactly how you liked men, utterly ruined.
with a sly grin on your face, you pulled him back up on his feet by his shirt. before he could yelp, your lips crashed against his in a heated kiss. jake stumbled towards you, unintentionally pressing your body into the cold wall behind you.
his hands grabbed your hips to pull you impossibly closer, need to feel more of you. your fingers wandered back to his hair, playing with the strands of silky hair and hissing against your lips when you pulled a little too hard.
his body felt like it had been lit on fire, the touch of his large hands almost burning you, leaving behind an invisible outline of his hand on your skin. the kiss you shared grew more passionate, more desperate with each passing moment, your tongues waltzing to the pace of your fast-beating hearts.
although you were enjoying the heated exchange, you both needed more.
no, i wanna see you undress now.
you hastily removed your clothes, tossing them somewhere in the room. jake followed suit, matching your eagerness, ready to pounce on you the moment he got the chance.
soon you found yourselves all over each other once again, hands touching and feeling up the other’s body, lips finding each other with a growing intensity.
jake placed you on his bed, looking down at you like you just escaped his wildest dreams.
i wanna hear you confess now.
“i want you to fuck me, jake.”

Five Hargreeves x Female!Reader
wc: 2239 (not proofread yet!)
warnings: swearing, fighting, lmk if i missed anything
find part one here my masterlist here
Hi lovelies! While writing I realized that this was going to be more than two parts like i had originally thought it would be. but regardless i hope you enjoy and don't forget to give me feedback! pls ignore and grammar errors! thank you <3
-------------------------------
“Welcome mi familia to my home away from home. My dearest Hotel Obsidian.” Klaus introduces, arms spread wide and breathing in the musty glory of the hotel. “Oh how I’ve missed her. Lookie who’s here! Mon frère Chet! How are you? We need your finest rooms good sir!” Chet places a sign on the table cash up front. The group of super siblings empty their pockets managing to gather enough for two rooms.
“So what’s our next move you guys? Because the Sparrows can attack at any given moment. I know I would.” Diego asks, anxious to kick some more ass. Luther turns towards Diego, placing his hands on his shoulders, “Diego, just relax man. They’re not coming, they’re going to need a couple of days to recover with the way we left them.” “You really think so?” Diego asks hopefully, at this moment you peek around Luther’s body into Diego’s view and shake you head, sliding you thumb slowly across your neck. Five notices you trying to rile Diego up and drags you to the elevator.
“First, I get kidnapped. And now I have to bunk in the boys room. Just kill me now.” Y/N complains as she is forced into the room being shared between four men. “You can complain all you want Y/N, but I have to keep an eye on you, so deal with it.” Five huffs taking a seat on the lower bunk bed. You roll your eyes, “There are only four beds in here dipshit and five of us. Where the hell am I supposed to sleep?” Five smirks at you, putting his hands behind his head and fully reclining on the bed as you make a gagging sound.
The other three brothers enter the room shortly after and begin to discuss how there are now other versions of themselves out in the world. Your curiosity gets the best of you, “What was you guys’ version of me like? Everyone seems to like her so much better, she couldn’t have been that great.” The men all speak at once listing all of the good qualities other you had such as her kindness, or her mindfulness, or her hopefulness. You jokingly smile extra big and say, “Doesn’t she just sound like a ray of sunshine.” The rest of the night is uneventful as everyone is exhausted from the events that occurred earlier.
That night, you end up taking the bottom bunk and Five sleeps on the floor next to it. The morning sun shines directly into eyes, disturbing your slumber. As you wake up and try to adjust your eyes, you feel a pressure on your hand. Lifting your head from the pillow, you glance over the edge of the bed and see a slumbering Five holding your hand–warmth spreads across your face. You quickly snatch your hand out of his grip, startling Five awake, he immediately scans the room for any threats. Five furrows his eyebrows once he makes eyes contact with you. No words are exchanged between the two of you as you get out of the bed and head towards the bathroom down the hall.
While freshening up in the bathroom, Y/N takes note of everyone in the restroom. There’s an elderly lady, a woman in her late 40s that looks like she’s done every drug on planet earth–twice, and a tan woman with a young boy standing behind her. The woman stares at you as if you’re familiar with one another. “What the hell are you looking at lady?” You says while drying your hands. The woman laughs in disbelief, “No fucking way.” You raise your eyebrows at the lady and exit the communal bathroom, startled to find Five dressed in a suit and waiting for you. “This entire hotel is full of freaks.”
The two of you take a seat at the table joining Klaus and Diego. The table covered in boxes of Chinese takeout, Five hands you a container and chopsticks, “Eat up, you must be starving.” You nod your head as a thank you and dig into the noodles. The siblings discuss their next course of action, if they have to fight the Sparrows to get the briefcase back or stay in the timeline. Across from you, something has caught Diego’s eye as he abruptly drops his food and rushes away from the table. You turn your body to see where he’s run off to and see Diego chasing the woman from the bathroom.
Diego returns to his seat five minutes later wih a young boy who claims to be his son. Not a single one of the Hargreeves at the table question the legitimacy of the relation. “So if you’re his dad..Is that blonde lady his mom?” You question, not seeing the resemblance at all. Diego nods in confirmation, “She claims he’s my son and that lady, is Lila. You two have met, she tried to murder us like two days ago.” “Two things Buddy. One, I am not your Y/N. And two, you’re an idiot. No wonder she tried to kill you.” You say, piecing the missing information together.
A short haired Vanya approaches the siblings. “Wow Vanya! I am loving the haircut! It really suits you!” Klaus calls out, admiring the new style. “Oh, it’s actually Viktor.” Viktor says awkwardly. The brothers glance at each other before Diego speaks up, “Who is?” “I am, always have been.” Viktor confirms. “Does anybody have a problem with that?” Everyone at the table shakes their head no and congratulates Viktor. “Look, I met with Marcus last night he agreed to give us the briefcase in exchange for Y/N. He says he doesn’t want to start a war.” You sit up straight at the mention of the trade.
Five’s face hardens at Viktor’s statement, “Absolutely not Viktor. I don’t know if you’ve noticed but this timeline in perfectly acceptable, there are no apocalypses or psychopaths coming after us. And last time I checked, you don’t speak for this family. There won’t be any unnecessary trades. Especially not if they include Y/N.” “You’re wrong Five. We don’t belong here. Allison is miserable, her own daughter doesn’t exist and you’re holding Y/N hostage just because she looks like your Y/N!” Viktor argues back. Five seethes in Viktor’s face, “I said no.” Five drags you off the chair forcing you to follow him. You hear footsteps chase after the two of you, “Five! Five wait up!” Five stops, still holding onto your wrist as Klaus catches up. “You two sure move quick for such little legs. Anywho…how would you two like to join me on a little roadtrip? We can relax and cruise the open road, it’ll be a grand ole time!” Five agrees to go with Klaus against your wishes.
Leaning against the car, you scan Five’s figure, “Like what you see?” Five says cockily, smiling at you. “That is the ugliest outfit I have ever seen. Genuinely, you should burn that for the sake of everyone else. And take that stupid hat off, you’re embarassing me. What did I ever see in you.” Five’s smile drops but before he can make a rebuttal Klaus skips over towards the car, “Let’s go bitches! This is going to be so much fun!” It was not fun by any means. Thirty minutes into the drive, Klaus and Five start arguing due to the fact that Klaus tricked Five into coming to meet his birth mother because he was scared to do it alone.
“You were scared? So you brought me along like an emotional support schnauzer?” “I would say you’re more like a little cute, feisty chihuahua.” You say mindlessly. Five turns and glares at you, you’re certain he’s picturing murdering you in his mind. The fighting goes on for a little longer before the boys make up at the big ball of twine. Soon enough, you guys arrive at a farm where Klaus’ mother is supposedly living. Five tells Klaus that this is something he has to face alone and that he’ll stay with the car.
Five moves the car to the side of the road and turns on a radio station playing songs from the 60s. He then exits the car just to open the rear door, “Scoot over, I want to stretch out my legs and do my crossword.” “You are such an old man. I don’t know how I could be into that.” You say while scooting over to make room for the teen. Five slides in next to you ensuring that his body is facing yours, “I’ll have you know that I have a lot of redeeming qualities that you loved. Not to mention, I’m a sweet talker Darling.” Five brushes his hand against your cheek, holding eye contact with you. Five’s green eyes are intense as you stare back noting the specks of blue in them. “I know, it’s hard to look away from them right?” Five winks at you finally breaking eye contact and sitting back, attention back on his newspaper. You blink rapidly trying to process what had occurred between the two of you.
Suddenly, a pulse rushes through the car shaking it as it passes. Five immediately sits up, hand gripping yours as he scans the area for signs of danger. You two exit the car, still holding hands. “Five? Where’d the cows go?” You question pointing towards the previously filled farmland which was now completely vacant. “Damnit can’t I get just one day off?” Five sighs throwing his hands in the air. The teenage boy gets to working on equations trying to figure out what he and his siblings fucked up now. In the distance, you hear a faint yell. A few seconds later comes Klaus with an angry Amish mob chasing after him, “Start the car! We’ve got to go now!” The three of you clamber into the car and speed off.
Klaus tells Five his findings and experience with the Amish and how his mother died before he was born. Five stomps on the breaks, causing you to fly forward, “We are so fucked. We’ve created the Grandfather Paradox.”
Once back at Hotel Obsidian Five takes you with him to find Lila. Her son, Stanley, tells you that she’s in the women’s restroom. Five is about to enter before you stop him, “Hey perv, this is the ladies room. Let me go.” You spot Lila in the bath and wave at her, “Y/N! Long time no see. Well actually, I guess you’ve never met me before but…I know you. And I can’t stand you just as much as I hate your husband.” Lila throws a knife in your direction and you are about to move out of the way when you feel a rush of air as you are blinked across the room.
You pull out of Five’s grip, “I can handle myself Five. And he is not my husband!” Lila approaches the two of you fully nude, “If you lovebirds are done with your couples quarrel. I’d love to get this over with.” Five and Lila fight and blink around the bathroom–you never knew two people could have the same powers. Lila manages to knock Five off of his feet, she then blinks to you and punches. You duck down, narrowly avoiding her fist. You sweep your leg at her feet aiming to knock her down. Lila lands on her back and you use your powers to transform into Luther in order to have an advantage, size and strength-wise. You swing your arms up in the air readying to pummel the woman into the ground. Lila mimics your power also transforming into Luther–your eyes widen as you realize what her powers are. Lila pulls her legs to her stomach before kicking them out, launching her legs into your stomach. You fly back, groaning as you land on a sink and breaking it off the wall. Curse Luther and his stupidly big monkey body.
Five has recovered and catches Lila off guard by slamming his body into hers. While distracted he squirts her in the face with soap, “Okay! Fuck! That’s enough!” Lila calls out, wiping the soap out of her stinging eyes. Five blinks over to you as Luther, “Y/N? Are you okay?” You transform back into your teenage self, accepting Five’s outstretched hand, “Never been better.” After making sure you were okay, Five grabs the briefcases from Lila’s possession. They were of course broken and the two decided that they would use their powers to travel to the Commision.
“We can’t bring her, we barely have enough power to bring ourselves.” Lila states motioning towards you. Five looks at you trying to figure out where to put you for the time being. Five walks you to his brother Diego, “I need you to watch her. I’ve got things to do and she can’t come with.” “What the hell? No! I’ve already got one little shit to take care of. I don’t need another.” You scoff at the conversation between the men, “I can hear you guys, you know?” They both ignore you. “Just make them watch each other, I don’t know. Figure it out, I’ve got to go.” Five walks off quickly with his hands in his pocket. Diego looks at you and rubs his face, “Stanley! Get your ass over here and come meet your Auntie!”

"be honest with me right now...would you still love me if i was a worm?"
han taesan's laugh echoed against the walls of his cozy apartment, the one he shared with yn ln, the idiot who had asked him the question.
"darling, you know i'd love you even if one day you woke up to find yourself a monstrous vermin!" he'd exaggerate and she'd giggle, calling him a nerd for the obvious line he stole off of franz kafka's book, to which he'd respond with: "if you got the reference, you're just as much a nerd as i am!"
yn gets up and heads over to the kitchen, pouring herself her fifth iced-coffee of the day. "you know you'll get sick if you drink too much coffee, darling" the boy said, chuckling lightly when she rolled her eyes at him, joining him back on their living-room couch. "oh please, you're telling me this like you don't drink just as much!"
it wasn't unusual for the young couple to bicker this way. especially because of how similar they were; two yappers - or at least that's what their friend woonhak called them - who happened to fall in love. the living room was their favourite spot in the whole flat. on off days like this one you would find the pair snuggled up on their soft sofa, a blanket each - because sharing one would almost always end up in an argument.
the wide-screen tv played whatever movie from the late 2000s they decided to re-watch - partly because they enjoyed the routine, mostly because everything that was new didn't quite compare to the "classics". that didn't really matter though, because they'd end up forgetting all about the movie anyways, preferring to entertain each other instead. it could be anything. something as simple as a conversation about what silly prank riwoo pulled the other day, or what kind of an ugly outfit the girl had seen on a mannequin. sometimes they didn't care to talk at all; sometimes they'd kiss, and other times they'd do way more than that.
"darling, how many times have we seen this movie?" taesan asked, eyebrows furrowed in confusion as the familiar scene appeared on the television. "i mean it's not even christmas time yet? why are we watching 'love, actually' again?" his girlfriend gasped in disbelief, looking at him as if the answer was obvious.
"for baby thomas brodie-sangster."
the boy scoffed, "oh please, the man is like- in his mid-thirtees now and he still looks like a baby!" she rolled her eyes again, "well duh! that's his charm! now shut up, you're annoying" she said, glaring at him coldly. it didn't last long though, the minute he shot her that stupidly adorable smile of his, she had forgotten all about how annoying her boyfriend was. her eyes went soft, the pout on her lips turning into a smile of its own.
"what?" he asked, tilting his head unconsciously to the side. he already knew the answer though, just because this has had happened countless times before. his hand moved to caress her cheek, the warmth of his touch making her blush. and then he said, in a voice so proud and almost cocky:
"falling in love with me all over again?"
he expected a nod, an agreement from her, but what he got instead was the shake of her head and an obnoxious giggle. "no...just wondering how i ended up with you- i mean a billion fish in the sea and i ended up with han-can't keep his mouth shut-taesan-ow!" taesan grinned as his girlfriend smoothed her palm against her head where he had jokingly slapped her.
"no, babe that one actually hurt" yn said, putting an end to his glory. his gaze softened and he was quick to react. "shit! i'm so sorry, darling..." he spoke softly this time, just above a whisper, and he pulled her close towards his chest. the boy pressed about a million kisses over the same spot on her head; again and again and again. it was sweet at first, the girl was just about to forgive him- well, until the innocent kisses became ticklish.
"tae...taesan...stop! it tickles!" those were the only few words she managed to muster out in between her laughs. in his usual menacing ways, the boy pretended not to hear his pleading girlfriend. instead, he thought it'd be a great idea to just straight up tickle her on purpose.
"haha! this is what you get, baby. i'm not stopping until you admit you're crazily in love with me...or until i get tired, whichever comes first" taesan taunts as his fingers continue to poke at her sides. "ah! never!" yn yelled, using all the strength in her body to flip him over, landing him on his back. she used his strategy against him, fingers rapidly tapping against his lower abdomen. "fuck..." she stopped and cussed, sitting completely still on his lap.
"you're not ticklish?"
he shook his head, a stupid smirk gleaming against his lips. "ugh, i hate you" she mumbled, giving up and falling down against his chest. his arms wrapped around her waist, her head nuzzled into his neck. "i win...now say it" taesan spoke, stroking her hair sweetly and tucking a couple strands away behind her ear. yn sighed dramatically as she sat up again.
"han taesan, i am crazily in love with you!"
the boy couldn't help but smile, breaking into a loving set of laughter, his hand moving to cover his mouth out of habit. contagious, she smiled as well - even if she hated the fact that she had lost - "i love you too, yn ln...my darling" he grinned, leaning into her lips and closing off any of the excess space between them.
"mm~ i like the taste of this lip-balm...you know if you use it more, i'll kiss you more" taesan said, licking his lips as they parted with her cherry-flavoured ones. "liar...you'd kiss me just the same amount with or without!" she argued, "and what makes you think that?" he retaliated. "cause you're obsessed with me!" her statement makes him laugh, "and you aren't?" he chuckled when she didn't respond.
"that's what i thought"
yn just hummed after that, not really planning on arguing any further. partly cause she was tired from all the tickling, but mostly because she just couldn't. taesan was, correct! afterall, she is just...
crazily in love with him.
the end.

making cookies for my love - sho haizono ( gn reader )
yes im basing this off of stir and mix jsdajfn ITS SO CUTE ;;; this is also , in fact , determined by a poll i made and my friends voting lolll ( idk how to make cookies btw if there r any errors pls ignore ) also decided to make it a valentine special because of his voiceline :edwardheh:
happy valentines :ruichuu:
Tumblr media
you huffed as you looked at the ingredients you spent your day looking for and buying . you smiled and took out the cookbook and flipped to the chocolate chip cookies page .
" you asked for these ? " subaru took out bowls , measuring cups and hand mixers . you nodded his way and gestured him to place them on the counter before you . you decided to ask subaru for help since he was the only one free at the moment and knew about your crush on sho .
you nod in delight , " yes , thank you so much for your help suba ! " you started to follow the instructions in the cookbook while humming a melody . subaru watched as you add a little bit more sprinkles and chocolate than you should have and sighed lightly , " sure you think that's fine ? "
you looked at him and smiled slightly , " he deserves it for all his hard work y'know " subaru lets out a chuckle of agreement as he helps clean the used utensils .
you put your partially completed cookies into the oven and set it to 15 minutes . as you wait , a feeling of terror washes over you as you looked at subaru , " what will i do if he hates me ? "
subaru laughed at your worried expression , " i'm sure he won't , " you looked down and started fidgeting with your fingers , " will baked goods set his heart free ? " subaru could only sigh and pat your back in reassurance , " why don't you stop worrying and let yourself go for it ? "
just then , the both of you were startled by the sound of ' ding ! ' from the oven , indicating that the cookies were complete .
after the cookies cool down , you pack the cookies inside a yellow box , tied with a red ribbon and a note slipped under the knot . you sigh and placed it in your bag . you exchanged farewell gestures with subaru as you both head to your destinations ; subaru to his dorm and you to vagastrom .
reaching said house , you bumped into the man himself , " oh hello sho ! fancy seeing you here , " you started and subtly obscuring the sight of the bag containing his treats . " mmh fancy seeing you here too , " he replied with a smile .
at the corner of your eyes , you noticed a paperbag filled to the brim as your heart sank , " are those ..? " he followed your trail of gaze and lifted up the paperbag " these ? yeah , these are all the chocolate i got . no idea how i'm gonna get through them all ... "
you tightened your grip on your own bag and forced a smile , " i see , congrats then .. " he quirks an eyebrow at the shift of your behaviour and folds his arms , " so ? you didn't get me anything ? "
you rubbed the back of your neck and let out a dry chuckle , " i mean , you've received alot already , it'd be troublesome for me to add some more y'know ... "
sho gave you a long stare and then cracked out a chuckle , " even with all these chocolates , none of them can ever beat the ones made by the one i have my eyes on , "
your face heat up at his words and took the box out of your bag and shoved it to his chest , " h- here .. i- it isn't the best cus i tweaked the ingredients a little . i really hope you like it ... "
at that , you sped walked away back to clementia . sho just shakes his head and sigh in content , opening the lid of the box and popped a cookie into his mouth , " mmh , just how i like it , " he said to himself in delight , walking back to vagastrom in satisfaction .

the allure of a long lost prophet
lowkey featuring kidnapper!lottie

Autumn (2021) Present Day
Your unconscious mind is hazy, showing you flashes of memories you’d long since buried. The crash, the wilderness, the cold of that first winter… the hunger. Things you wish would stay hidden in the recesses of your brain.
You remember running, the hunter turned prey. Always running, desperately fleeing your imminent demise.
Consciousness dawns slowly and as you wake up, several things register at once. First: the unfamiliar environment. You’re in a room not your own, sparsely furnished and rather foreboding. Second: the blinding headache, as if your very skull was splitting open. And third, and perhaps most importantly: your wrists are bound behind you. You’re sat in a chair, body aching in protest. Not necessarily at the position itself that you’re seated in, but the fact that you’ve mostly likely been here for quite some time. At least an hour or two if you had to guess, given the numbness setting into your extremities.
“Well, fuck.” You don’t even register that you’ve spoken out loud. Kidnapped, you think. Just your luck. As the reality of the situation begins to set in so does the fear of what’s to come.
In a crazed frenzy you tug and pull at the ropes to no avail, only succeeding in scraping your wrists raw. You refuse to cry out for help, wary of who might answer. With a huff you give up on that particular venture, taking deep breathes in an attempt to calm yourself and form a useful and coherent thought. Thankfully one comes in the form of a helpful realization. Those idiots who kidnapped you didn’t think to check your pockets. You’re able to shimmy one hand into your back pocket and grab your pocket knife. You grimace, remembering the day your father gave it to you. He wasn’t good for much but he did have the occasional fatherly win. This was one of them.
You open it, bending and twisting uncomfortably to saw through the restraints binding you. Once free, you assess the damage done to your wrists, grimacing at the reddened skin. You spot a few places where the skin has broken open but decide to ignore it for now in favor of escaping.
As tempted as you are to examine the room for clues at to who might’ve taken you and what they might want, you need to leave. The next problem on your list: the fucking door is locked because of course it is. Easily solved by… you contemplate, looking around. Your eyes lock in on the pair of windows to your left. An attempt at opening them is fruitless but you had anticipated that much. You wonder if jumping through one of the windows could work. Your captors may have thought to lock them but they certainly wouldn’t expect you to pull something like this. Be it panic or sheer idiocy, you brace yourself and dive through the glass and onto the porch outside. With surprisingly minimal damage from the shattered glass you scoff slightly, not expecting that to have worked out nearly as well as it did. A quick look around reveals absolutely zero sign of familiar scenery. Dense forest seemingly surrounds you at every angle and it is at this moment that the panic that had been brewing inside of you fully takes hold. With little thought you break into a run, truly aimless in direction with one goal in mind: escape.
As you run, you can feel branches snagging on your clothes and scraping at your skin. While you pass other cabins similar to the one you were locked in, you hear distant shouts and various voices calling out to each other. The panic worsens and you fear being caught at any moment.
Winter (1996)
You’re running… faster than you thought possible, absolutely frantic in your efforts to get away. It chose. You can feel the weight of that damned necklace resting on your collarbone. Thoughts of Jackie surface and you sob. You can’t share her fate. You have to find a way to survive… no matter what.
Present Day
Running faster, you heave for breath, panting in exertion. You curse the universe for giving you asthma as you begin to feel an attack coming on. Wheezing sets in and you eventually have to stop to catch your breath. The forest goes quiet. All that can be heard is your breathing and a primal, ice cold fear shoots down your spine as you feel a presence behind you. You turn slowly, shaking slightly. Lottie fucking Matthews in all her glory approaches and opens her arms out wide. For a moment you’re tempted to fall into her embrace like you did all those years ago in the wilderness. Instead, you turn on your heels and bolt in the opposite direction once more. Just when you think you’ve lost her, fate in her infinite humor causes you to trip. You land harshly on the ground and manage to get the wind knocked out of you. Through gasping breaths you get back up, ready to run again but she’s already there in front of you.
“Please, don’t hurt me”, You whimper, “I just wanna go home.”
“Hurt you?” She frowns, “Darling, I’m here to protect you. You’re mine, remember? My sweet little dove. I would never ever hurt you.” You can feel it then, the pull towards her, like it never went away. “You’re meant to be here… can’t you feel it?” You let out a confused whining sound, tears falling from your eyes. “Shhh, hush now, love. You’re alright.” She comes close and wipes your tears as they fall. “I’ll take care of you, like I did before, you just have to let me.”
“L-Lottie, I— I don’t understand, please…” That all consuming panic returns, clouding your mind.
“It’s okay, calm yourself, dove. You are exactly where you need to be.”
“N-no, I— I don’t belong here, I need to go…” Breathing properly becomes a near impossible task and you begin to hyperventilate.
“You’re safe here, darling. This is all for your own good.” Your breaths come faster and faster, your head growing fuzzy and light. She puts a hand on your chest, guiding you to slow your breathing. You fight it at first, the panic too strong but eventually you calm, sagging into her. She holds you in a strong embrace, rocking you slowly from side to side. “That’s it.” She coos. “Good girl.” Your chest warms at the praise. As much as you hate to admit it, you missed this, you missed her.
“Lottie why am I here?” You murmur into her shoulder.
“You tell me. I searched for years only to find you like this… broken, alone, a shell of your former self. I couldn’t leave you like that, not after everything we’ve been through together.”
You tremble as she refers to the wilderness. The things that occurred over 25 years ago still fresh in your mind, haunting you despite many (albeit futile) attempts to move on.
“You feel it too, don’t you?” She continues, “The pull. It wants this, us… together again.” You step away despite her trying to keep you close in her arms. “There’s no use denying it, no use fighting. It’s still in us, it never left and you know as well as I do that it has a way of getting what it wants.”
“No.” You shake your head. “No, Lottie I— I can’t do this, not again. Please…” You cut yourself off, bringing a hand to your mouth and holding your other arm around your stomach. The very thought of your gruesome survival and the things you had to do back then bring a wave of nausea over you. You had barely made it out alive and even then, the guilt was enough to make you wish you hadn’t. “I— I won’t.”
She stills, stone faced. “Oh really?” You nod, trying your best to stay resolute and ignore the damn near magnetic allure of her words. It’s difficult, Lottie is as captivating as ever. She hums at your insistence. “Somehow I doubt that. You’re strong, my love, but at some point you must realize you can’t do this alone.” You falter, recognizing the truth in her words. “It’s okay to rely on others, to rely on me, just like you used to. I’ll protect you. I’ll keep you safe and help you heal. You never have to be alone again.” Your heart stutters in your chest. As much as you’d hate to admit it out loud, she’s having an effect on you.
“Come here.” She’s stern, commanding. You balk at the audacity… and yet you can’t help but obey. She brings you into her arms once again. See darling? How easy that was?”
“Lottie…”
“You’re going to stay here, at Camp Green Pine, and I am going to help you. I’m afraid I won’t take no for an answer.”
You give in and at long last your racing thoughts quiet. It’s safe here, in Lottie’s arms. It always has been. You relax into her hold.
“There you go, good girl.” Burying your face into her shoulder you catch a whiff of her perfume. It’s different from what she wore when she was young but somehow still familiar and so very Lottie. “Come, I’ll take you back to your cabin and we can get you settled for the night.” She begins leading you back through the forest, a guiding hand on the small of your back. As backwards as it sounds, giving up control is rather freeing. And when it’s Lottie? Giving up control comes to you as easily as breathing does.
As you walk, you distractedly rub at your scraped wrists, the soreness from the rope burn setting in. She notices your movements and frowns.
“I am sorry about the circumstances of your arrival here, I had hoped to at least be there when you woke to ease you into things.”
“Yeah, well…” You trail off with a shrug. She stops walking and turns to you.
“May I see?” You nod wordlessly and allow her to take your wrists into her hands. They’re smooth and warm, soothing to the newly formed scrapes and bruises. She tuts, a crease in her brow. “You must’ve put up quite the struggle to cause such injuries. We’ll get you some first aid and then it’ll be off to bed with you.”
Her tone is chiding, motherly. She continues walking, leading you to a cabin in the distance. Autumn leaves crunch under your feet and you find it nice to focus on something other than your current predicament. You shiver as a particular frigid breeze blows through. You’re certainly not dressed for the weather, only in a long sleeve t-shirt and jeans. She pulls you closer, rubbing a hand up and down your arm. “We’re nearly there, the nurses station is just over this way.”
“You have a whole nurses station here?” You question, deeply confused.
“It’s just a precaution, I’d much rather have it just in case as opposed to being caught unprepared. Plus, it’s much easier than driving all the way into town for a minor illness or injury.”
“Right…” You mumble. A thought comes to mind. “You are pretty secluded all the way out here, is that intentional?”
“Many people find it quite healing to be this far away from the rest of society, myself included.” You don’t have time to ponder the ramifications of that sentence because she stops suddenly at the door of a building.
“Here we are.” She pulls out a set of keys and unlocks the door, bringing you through and reaching to flip on a nearby light switch. What meets your eye is a room not unlike the school nurse’s office you frequented in your youth. You stand awkwardly in place as Lottie rummages around, gathering various medical supplies. “Sit.” She gestures to the bed. You hesitate briefly but a stern look from Lottie has you moving to do as she says. You wring your hands together nervously, always one to be uncomfortable in any medical situation, even one as unconventional as this. You think back to the weeks after your rescue. Each and every one of your surviving teammates had to stay in that hospital. You tense at the thought of it. She lays a gentle hand over yours. “It’s alright, I’m just going to clean your scrapes and bandage them up.”
“Right, sorry.” Your hands still and you fight the urge to fidget in another way to compensate. You settle on chewing at your bottom lip. Lottie is quick and precise as she takes some kind of antibacterial wipe and gently cleans your wounded skin. She rubs some antibiotic ointment over the worst of the scrapes and then carefully wraps some gauze around each wrist, securing them with a bit of medical tape.
“There, see? All better.”
“Thanks, Lottie.” She hums in acknowledgement and reaches a hand out. You take it instinctively, almost scoffing at your own compliance but following her regardless. The two of you walk in silence, both lost in thought. Eventually you come upon a seemingly random cabin, only distinguishable from the others by the number on the door. 296.
“I trust you’ll be alright until morning without further incident?” You nod sheepishly. “Good… sleep well, darling. If you need anything before then, my cabin is just over that way.” She gestured vaguely to your left but in the dark it’s hard to make out anything in the distance. “Number 320.” She brings a hand up to cup your cheek briefly before nodding once and turning to leave. You stand there on the porch, dumbfounded for a moment, before shaking your head and begrudgingly deciding to go in and at least try to get some rest.
As you enter the space you take notice of the fact that it looks overall much nicer than the one you initially woke up in. It’s fully furnished and decorated nicely. There seems to be a living area, a bedroom, a bathroom and a small kitchen as well. Maybe, you decide, living here for a bit won’t be too bad. You look in the closet, hoping for a change of clothes before you resign yourself to sleeping either in jeans or without pants. To your surprise it’s stocked. A monochrome wardrobe of purple. You shrug, thinking you’ll take what you can get and pick out something to sleep in. Once you’re changed you flop bonelessly into the bed, sighing deeply at the mess of a day you’ve had. Exhaustion hits you hard and you damn near immediately fall into a deep, dreamless sleep.

The morning rays of sun peek through the curtains of your room, shining on your face. You wake slowly, not yet fully processing where exactly you are. Blinking blearily, you rub the sleep from your eyes. A groan escapes you as the events of last night fully register in your tired brain. You lay there for a moment, palm to forehead before giving yourself a mental pep talk. ‘It’s going to be fine. There’s nothing weird going on, just a friendly group of… purple people. Totally not a cult run by an ex.’
With a yawn you haul yourself out of bed, mentally preparing yourself for the day ahead. You take off the bandages on your wrists and inspect the damage. The bruises look worse but the scrapes have scabbed over and you think you can leave them uncovered as they finish healing. You eventually decide to shower before facing whatever fresh hell Lottie has cooked up and search around for towels. You find them in a hall closet, more purple. You shrug, it’s definitely not the weirdest thing about this place. Taking one from the stack you make your way to the bathroom. You start the water and undress while waiting for it to heat up. Avoiding your reflection in the mirror, you step under the stream. You sigh, standing motionless under the falling water for a moment before mechanically going through your shower routine. Thankfully like the closet, the shower is stocked with anything one might need and you gladly use the products provided. Once finished, you turn off the water and step out, drying off with your towel. You grab another set of clothing from the closet and get dressed, only slightly perturbed at the fact that everything seems to be in your size. Once ready, you approach the door, taking one last deep breath before stepping outside.
Despite the urge to stay hidden away in your cabin, you want to walk around and get a feel for the general layout of the ‘intentional community’ Lottie has created here. As you walk, a few people pass you by, all dressed in purple and donning friendly smiles. It’s almost unsettling, how happy everyone seems.
“Y/n?” A voice behind you causes you to startle slightly. You turn and are met with the sight of a girl maybe a few years younger than you sporting a nervous looking smile. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to startle you! My name is Lisa, Charlotte wanted me to find you and give you a tour.”
“Right… listen, I appreciate it but there’s really no need, I’m not planning on staying long.” Lisa frowns, fidgeting with her hands.
“She insisted.” You fight the urge to roll your eyes, deciding to put the poor girl out of her misery and agree to the damn tour. “Great! We’ll start with the common area…” Minutes pass as she leads you through the compound and despite feeling slightly bad about it, you tune out most of what Lisa is saying in favor of wondering what the hell you’re doing here and why you haven’t just left yet. Your thoughts are halted as you realize Lisa is looking at you expectantly, as if waiting for an answer to a question. You nod, hoping it was a yes or no. She sighs. “You haven’t been listening, have you?” Your initial instinct is to deny it but honestly you don’t have the energy for that today.
“I’m sorry, I…”
“It’s okay, it’s a big adjustment, I get that.”
“You do?” You ask, a bit shocked if you’re honest.
“Of course I do. Becoming almost completely cut off from the rest of the world like this isn’t easy. We try to ease people into things, make the transition as smooth as possible but in your case I’m sure it’s been a rough adjustment. For the first week or so you’ll have a chance to settle in and get used to how we operate here, you won’t have many mandatory groups until later on.”
“Pause…” You pinch the space between your brows. “Mandatory what?” You hope to god you didn’t hear what you think you did. She looks sheepish and you brace yourself for her answer.
“Right, I guess no one’s really filled you in yet.” She takes a breath, “Here at Camp Green Pine we focus on healing through community. That includes mandatory group therapy and recreation. You’ll be given a schedule at some point later today, I’m sure.”
You can’t help but feel a bit indignant. Not only have you been essentially kidnapped but now you’re also being forced to confront your problems in a group setting?? What kind of fuckass cult have you gotten yourself roped into? Lottie has a lot of explaining to do.
“Yeah… it’s definitely gonna be a no on the group therapy thing for me, I’ve been through enough counseling to last a lifetime.” Your mind involuntarily flashes back to the months after you were first rescued. How after the hospital, everyone’s parents made them go through therapy to process everything that had happened. The thing is, no one even really knew what it was you were all supposed to be processing. Sure, the trauma of the crash itself and the deaths that came with it but everything that followed? That was the real horror. The group made a pact of silence. No one was to share any details of what happened out there. You were all well aware of the agreed upon consequences that would befall whoever spoke up. Vague generalizations were fine, lies were encouraged. Anything to keep the truth a secret.
“Y/n?” Lisa’s hesitant voice snaps you back into the present.
“Right, I appreciate the tour but I think I’m good to explore the rest on my own.” You feel a bit bad brushing her off like this, especially when she makes a face not unlike a sad puppy but you stay firm in your decision.
“Oh, okay, um… I— I guess I’ll see you later? You missed breakfast but lunch will be in about half an hour in the dining hall.”
“Got it, good to know.” You make a note to avoid the dining hall at all costs in approximately thirty minutes and go on your way.

As you explore, you take notice of the fact that surrounding area that seemed so vast and daunting in the dark is actually quite beautiful during the daytime. You wander around for a while, admiring the nature around you. Eventually you find a stream. Thinking it must connect to the lake you saw near the dining hall you decide to follow it back in the direction you came from as you’ve surely succeeded in skipping lunch with everyone by now. You head to the kitchens to grab some food and then sneak back to your cabin, keen on continuing to avoid the frankly creepy cult members Lottie has acquired.
Once back in your cabin you rummage around and find a pen and a notebook, thinking it might be a good idea to do some journaling. It’s something you picked up from Shauna in the wilderness and despite the two of you having some issues, you never quite shook the habit. Amidst the words you doodle mindlessly, adding in some sketches here and there. Time slips away and you don’t even notice until the sun begins to fade, darkening the room you’re in. Fatigue hits you like a truck and you can’t help but crawl into bed. You’re on the verge of sleep when you hear a timid knocking at the door to your cabin. You ignore it, hoping whoever it is will take the hint and fuck off but after a few seconds it becomes clear that that hope is futile when the knocking sounds again. You groan and pry yourself out of bed, shuffling tiredly towards the door. Opening it, you find Lisa. She sports a concerned frown as she takes in the sight of you.
“Hey, is everything okay? I noticed you weren’t at lunch… or dinner.” You sag a bit, your previous anger at her for keeping you from falling asleep fading.
“Yeah, I’m alright, I— I don’t know, I didn’t really feel like eating with everyone.” She furrows her brow.
“I know it can be intimidating but I promise everyone is super welcoming. It’s important to start building on your relationships here.”
“I’ll keep that in mind.” An awkward pause follows, neither of you really sure what to say. You break the silence. “I appreciate you checking in but I’m doing fine.”
She unfortunately sees right through you. “It’s okay if you’re not, you know. Everyone here is a work in progress, we all have our days.” She laughs lightly. “I mean god, when I first got here? I was in a pretty rough spot and it showed. I was probably a total nightmare to deal with.”
“Why did you come? Did Lottie snatch you up too?”
She thinks for a second. “I had tried the traditional route of therapy and meds but… nothing had ever really made much of a difference.” She crosses her arms and takes a breathe. “To be honest I was running out of options. I heard of Camp Green Pine from people in town talking about Sunshine Honey and managed to track them down at the street market. We got to talking and… I don’t know, I guess something just resonated. I felt truly hopeful again for the first time in years and I joined not long after.”
You hesitate, “And you… like it here? You think it’s helping you?”
“You don’t have to sound so skeptical, Charlotte’s done a great job with this place. It’s really making a difference and helping people heal.”
“Somehow I doubt it’s that simple.”
She makes a face, as if trying to figure out how far to push you. “You and Charlotte… there seems to be a bit of history there.”
You huff, “That’s certainly one way of putting it.” A beat passes. “Is there a question?” You can’t help but be a bit defensive.
“Sorry.” She backs down, “I guess it’s not really my place.” You hum in acknowledgment. “Well, um… I guess I’ll let you get some rest. See you tomorrow?”
“Yeah, maybe.”
She frowns at your noncommittal response. “Goodnight, Y/n”
“Night.” You close the door and go back to bed, all but collapsing into it. Sleep comes quickly and you’re out like a light.

You struggle to have a moment of peace, even in your sleep. Ever since the plane crash you’ve had recurring nightmares. In the wilderness you would wake up sobbing so often that the group eventually had you sleep alone in the attic to avoid waking everyone else. It was Lottie who eventually figured out how best to calm you down from that state. She would sleep next to you and take it upon herself to help soothe you whenever you had nightmares. Even once the cabin burned down, you and Lottie shared a hut, growing inseparable. After your rescue you were a mess. Lottie had been sent off to god knows where and you were left hopeless and alone. Things got so bad that your parents eventually sent you away to an institution where you spent years of your life in various therapies in the hopes to “cure” you. Over time you learned how to better compartmentalize and shove certain memories down in your mind where you could no longer reach them. The nightmares stopped with your trauma successfully locked away. It was better like this, your parents were happy and everyone assumed you were back to your normal self. You were fine. Until tonight that is.
Winter (1996)
You’re running. You have to get away because if you don’t they’ll catch you. You won’t survive, you’re way outnumbered. If you fight one of them, though— maybe there’s a chance. You heave for breath as you run, the gold around your neck feels suffocating and you fight the urge to rip it off. The wilderness chose you, but maybe… maybe you can make it reconsider. If it spared Nat’s life then who’s to say things can’t work out for you as well. You pause, hiding for a brief moment. It’s freezing outside and the wind bites at your exposed skin. You contemplate, your mind working faster than ever. Fighting won’t work, even if you manage to corner one of them alone then what? Kill them? You can’t, not directly at least. If brute force won’t work you’ll have to figure out a way to outsmart them, you weren’t a straight A student for nothing. A trap, you decide, that’s the only way you’ll make it out of this alive. The sounds of the pack grow closer, shouts morph into animalistic howls and you cover your mouth to keep from sobbing audibly.
A moment passes and you decide it’s now or never. You bolt from behind the tree and sprint as hard as your legs will allow. A solid force tackles you from the side. You look up and of course it’s Shauna. Fuck. Any of the others you could’ve potentially handled but Shauna? You’re fucked. She swings the knife towards your neck and you block it with your arm. It slices deep into your flesh and you cry out as blood gushes from the wound. Shauna takes advantage of your distraction by pinning you down and holding the knife to your neck. The look in her eyes is borderline feral and you’re sure that if you manage to make it out of this alive it will haunt you for the rest of your life.
“Shauna, please…” You whisper, desperate to get through to her without alerting the others.
“Shut up!”, She practically growls, pressing the knife further into you. The noises from the others surround the two of you, closing in. She repositions the knife in her hands, holding it above her head. The fact that you can no longer see even small hints of the girl you once knew is devastating. Except… there! A slight hesitation, for just a split second she falters. In that moment you manage to free one of your hands and swing at her as hard as you can. The hit lands square on her cheekbone and you twist, forcing her off of you while she’s distracted.
Present
You wake with a start, jolting up in bed. You pant heavily, realizing that you’re dripping with sweat. Your heart feels like it’s beating out of your chest and you tremble violently. It takes several minutes to stave off the impending panic attack that typically hits you after a nightmare as vivid as this one. Almost subconsciously, you hold your arm close to your chest. The jagged scar running up it is a testament to your near miss with death that day. A quick check of the alarm clock on the nightstand confirms your suspicions. It’s nearly 5 in the morning and you won’t be getting any more sleep tonight.
As much as it pains you to do so, you can’t help but remember the events from your dream in excruciating detail. Despite your best efforts to keep things buried, every once in a while they resurface. Not completely of course, but just enough to leave you reeling each time. Journaling, you think, might help to lock things back up where they’re meant to be. To you it feels as if you’re extracting the memories straight from your mind and forcing them onto the paper where they can no longer torment you. You write until your hand cramps and the words blur on the page. Putting your pen and notebook to the side you flop back down in bed. The sun has only just begun to rise. You wonder if it might be best to go back to sleep now and skip what you can of the day. At least it would save you the effort of avoiding people. And hey, maybe if you keep this up you’ll never have to confront the fact that you’re essentially being held captive at a wilderness retreat run by Lottie Matthews of all people.
_________________________________________________
The next few days pass with little incident. You follow the same routine of minimal participation and if possible all out avoidance. To your honest and absolute shock, there’s been no word from Lottie since your first night at the compound. You’re… not really sure what to do with that. Lisa is still making an effort to include you which while nice of her is making things more complicated. What you really want is to disappear… just for a little while. But if that were really true, you suppose you would’ve left day one instead of sticking around. You see, the real truth is that you’re lost. You’ve been lost for years, maybe even since the wilderness. So instead of running for the hills like usual, you stay and observe.
Of course that doesn’t keep you from getting fed up every once in a while. For instance, the group session you’re in today. You decided to show up to avoid suspicion but it’s of a lecture than anything and you find it to be extremely irritating. A pale, middle aged man drones on and on about how he believes there are no truly bad experiences in life. How everything we go through as humans shapes us into who we are, therefore making pain necessary. While you agree to some extent you can’t help but scoff loudly, rolling your eyes and shaking your head, storming off into the woods. What you don’t notice is Lottie watching from the corner of the room with a frown on her face. Unbeknownst to you, she follows.
You make your way to a recently discovered spot in the woods. It’s a bit of a ways away and secluded, with a nice big rock to sit on and watch the stream go by. You pace, feeling anxious and restless while trying to keep creeping thoughts of the wilderness at bay. It’s become harder lately to ignore them. You don’t even notice the fact that you’re chewing on your bottom lip until you taste the familiar tang of blood in your mouth. You hear the snap of a twig behind you and turn sharply, startled. Lottie stands there, looking uncharacteristically timid.
“What are you doing here?” You ask, unintentionally accusatory.
She hums, “I could ask you the same question seeing as you’re supposed to be in the midst of one of our riveting wellness groups right now.”
“Riveting is certainly one way of putting it.” You grumble.
She chuckles lightly, moving closer and for a moment you’re struck by how little has changed when it comes to your attraction to her. You can’t help but feel entranced by her, just like you always were. If she catches you staring, she’s kind enough not to mention it, instead switching the subject. “How are you finding it here, Y/n, be honest.”
“It’s… fine. Different.” You keep your answer intentionally short. She sees right through it.
“After all of these years you’d think you would’ve gotten a bit better at lying, my darling.” You shuffle uncomfortably at being called out. Before you can come up with a retort she speaks again, catching you off guard. “I’m sorry.” The apology confuses you.
“For what?” You cross your arms, trying to keep your defenses up.
“I had assumed, given our history, it would be easier for you to settle in than the others. I’m sorry I misjudged.” Lottie reaches both hands out and strokes up and down your arms
“I’m not sure I understand…”
“You’re clearly struggling, my love. Don’t think I haven’t noticed.”
“But…” You try to interject but she cuts you off.
“I have my ways of keeping tabs on people here, especially when they’re old friends of mine.”
“Friends.” You scoff, “Is that what we are?”
Lottie hums, smiling. “No… I suppose not.” She tilts her head and her hands go still, resting on your shoulders. “In fact, I’d say you and I are much more than friends, wouldn’t you?” You can’t help the heat that rises to your face at her words. You look down, avoiding her eyes, but she lifts a hand to your chin and tilts your head back up to meet her gaze. Her thumb strokes your cheek and you sigh. She takes a breath before speaking again. “Aren’t you tired of running, Y/n?” You can’t help but close your eyes, your face crumpling slightly. You take a shaky breath before speaking.
“I…” Your voice cracks. “What other choice do I have?” Once you start, the rest spills out. All of your doubts, your worries, everything you’ve been holding in. “If I stop, it’ll get me, I know it will and I can’t— I can’t let it… I’ll be consumed in one way or another and a part of me thinks it was always going to happen. I drew the queen that day. It was supposed to be me who died.” A tear falls from your eyes and Lottie wipes it away with her thumb. “Lottie, I don’t think I was meant to survive that.”
She hushes you gently. “How could you say such a thing? It was the wilderness that spared you, saved you. It saved all of us who survived.”
“Did it?” You interject. “Because it didn’t feel that way.” You prepare yourself to confess something you’ve never told anyone. “I set a trap, Lot. I outsmarted Gen and she died in my place. I killed her. The Wilderness didn’t spare me, I killed someone to save myself.” The words feel sour on your tongue but the relief of finally telling someone is immense.
She smiles tearfully. “You think I didn’t know that? I knew you would find a way to stay alive that day, I willed it to be so. And besides, it wouldn’t let you die, it liked you too much. You were one of the few people who knew how to listen but the others were suspicious. They thought I was favoring you, protecting you from the draw in some way. The wilderness did what needed to be done to cement your place at my side while preventing a rebellion. You were never in any real danger.”
“Well I sure as shit thought I was!” You yell, exasperated. “What about Shauna?? Did the wilderness plan on her taking a knife to my fucking neck? She was going to kill me, Lottie!”
“But she didn’t. Have you never wondered why?”
“Of course I’ve wondered. But what good does that do me? Shauna having one single moment of hesitation could mean absolutely nothing.”
“Or… it could mean everything. It could mean the wilderness gave you a chance to escape. To live.” She seems so resolute in her belief that it makes you doubt your version of events.
“So if it doesn’t want me dead, then what? Another draw? Another sacrifice? You know as well as I do it won’t stop there. In fact it sounds to me like the only way it’ll ever be satisfied is if all of us die. Almost like we were never meant to make it out in the first place.”
“What are you saying?”
You sigh deeply, losing steam. “I don’t know.” You pull back, moving just enough to be out of her reach. “I can’t hear it anymore, Lottie. I know it’s there— I feel it. But I can’t listen the way I did before.”
She furrows her brow before seemingly coming to a decision. “Close your eyes.”
“What? No, I…”
“Close them.” You hesitate for a moment. Realistically you could walk away, go back to your cabin or leave altogether. Return to your semi normal life. No wilderness, no weird purple cult… no Lottie. You close your eyes. “Good. Now, tell me…. what do you hear?”
You take some deep breaths, centering yourself. “I hear the water from the stream, I hear the wind rustling through the trees, I hear my voice.”
“What do you feel?”
“I feel the ground beneath my feet, I feel the sun warming my skin.” She steps closer to you.
“Keep your eyes closed… what do you see?”
“I see… the team playing soccer. I see Jackie scoring the winning goal. I see myself packing for nationals.” Your voice grows shaky and hesitant.
“Keep going, you’re doing a good job.”
“I see the plane, we’re flying… no. We’re falling.” You continue, picking up speed, not even fully aware of the words leaving your mouth. “It’s crashing, down down down, into the trees. I see fire, the lake, the cabin. It’s there, it’s with us.” You’re frantic, now. “More fire, it doesn’t want us to leave. And then, and then the cold. But the wilderness provides a feast. It’s still hungry, it wants more, it wants— blood. A hunt.” You open your eyes, shaking violently. “It wants a hunt.” Tears run down your face and Lottie pulls you into a hug.
“It’s okay, you’re alright.”
You shake your head in disagreement. “None of this is alright. I— Lottie I’m scared.”
“I’ll keep you safe, love, you don’t have to worry.”
You pull back, looking her in the eyes. “It’s not me I’m scared for.” You say softly, your face scrunched up.
She tilts her head. “What do you mean?”
You try to brush it off and hope she lets it go. “I just have a bad feeling, that’s all.”
“Maybe that’s all it is; a feeling.” She attempts to reassure you.
“Yeah, maybe.” You feel completely wrung out, having forgotten how much energy it takes to tap into the wilderness like that. Lottie can clearly sense that there’s something else weighing on you but seeing how exhausted you look, she decides to leave it be for now.
“Come, it’s nearly time for dinner and I know you haven’t been eating as much as you should be.” Damn her. She turns, holding out a hand for you to take. The two of you walk hand-in-hand back to the main area of the compound but when you move towards the dining hall she gently tugs you past it to her own cabin.
When you step inside her cabin you’re taken aback at how every inch of it is so very Lottie. From the tapestries on the walls to the beaded curtains separating rooms it all has a unique touch to it, like every corner was filled with intention and care. Parts of it remind you of her childhood bedroom and it makes you want to cry a little bit, the fact that so little has changed. You stand frozen near the entrance as she rummages around in the kitchen, gathering ingredients. Lottie seemingly knows her way around a kitchen which is only a slight bit surprising to you. Cooking almost seemed beneath Lottie and you honestly would’ve assumed that she had someone to do things like that for her. But here she was, whipping up a meal from scratch, partly due to the fact that you haven’t eaten yet. She must catch sight of you still standing motionless out of the corner of her eye because she pauses to guide you to a seat before resuming meal preparations. You watch on in awe as she seemingly effortlessly whips up a full meal for the two of you. She hums the occasional mindless tune while cooking and you can’t help but fall a little bit further for her. It’s hard to know where you stand with Lottie but you can only hope that things work out— for both of you.
As she adds the final touches to the meal you admire how peaceful she looks. Confident, too. Completely in her element in ways you never would’ve expected. Evidently you become lost in thought because when you blink back to reality, Lottie is looking at you with an exasperated fondness.
You clear your throat. “Sorry?”
“I said I hope you like pasta, I’m a little low on groceries at the moment and the next shipment won’t be until tomorrow.”
“Oh, yes. Pasta. Love it.” You stammer awkwardly before gathering your thoughts. “Honestly, it smells amazing Lottie.” She absolutely beams at the compliment and you damn near swoon. She brings over two plates and sits next to you.
You both eat in comfortable silence, basking in each other’s presence. As much as you would absolutely deny it if asked you’ve always found comfort in Lottie, even before everything happened. You remember the first time you saw her. You had moved to Wiskayok midway through your sophomore year of high school, making it a rather difficult adjustment. You had been there a week and still hadn’t really connected with anyone or formed any new friendships due to your shy nature. You were at your locker one day while she was walking down the hall with Taissa, coaching her through asking out a crush— some redhead. It was as if subconsciously you could feel her approaching because just as she passed by, you turned and accidentally made eye contact. She was the most beautiful girl you’d ever seen and you knew right away that would mean trouble. It was honestly pure coincidence that you tried out for the same sport. You’d played a lot of soccer all throughout your childhood and hoped for that same sense of community and teamwork. You and Lottie both made the varsity team and the rest was history. Junior year you had several classes together and decided to become study buddies to help each other pass the harder courses. Growing closer over the years did absolutely nothing to curb your crush but you hid it to the best of your ability.
And then the crash.
It felt like everything— your whole life, collapsed in on itself. There was so much emotion the first few days that you barely spoke a word to anyone. It wasn’t until that day at the lake that you managed to talk a bit with Lottie about everything that was going on. She was your rock out there. So when she started having visions you were the first to take her word for it. You would follow her anywhere and do anything for her, she just had to say the word. And then, be it psychosis or spiritual awakening, you heard it too. You became Lottie’s right hand in the wilderness, worshipping those hungry spirits. You never faltered, never had even a single moment of doubt in your faith.
With rescue came devastation and in turn left you a broken shell of your former self. You spent years trying to convince yourself it was all in your head, that you were desperate for some form of hope to cling onto so you created a religion of false gods that demanded you do terrible things to survive. It only worked to a certain extent but it was enough to convince your family you were back to your normal (if not heavily traumatized) self.
Lottie clears her throat and you realize you’ve been staring into space instead of eating. “You alright, Y/n?”
“Yeah, I’m okay.” You sigh, picking up your fork and finally tasting the food she made. You bite back a moan as the flavors melt on your tongue. She looks pleased at your reaction for a moment before her face clouds over with an expression of worry.
“When’s the last time you had a proper meal?” Her question catches you by surprise and you struggle to come up with a believable lie to soothe her concern. “If you have to think about it, it’s been too long.” She says sternly. Unable to think of a decent response you shrug, curling in on yourself a bit and tucking back into your meal. “You need to take better care of yourself… I worry about you.”
“I’m sorry.” You sag, feeling like you’ve disappointed her in some way. “It’s just— I don’t know, it’s hard sometimes.”
“To eat?”
“To do anything. I just feel so… heavy sometimes. Like the weight of everything—everything we went through, everything we did, is just… holding me down.”
“Sweetheart… come here.” She pulls you towards her, guiding you to lean your head on her shoulder. She strokes your hair, speaking softly. “I can help you, you know. If you let me in, I can help you.”
You nod, giving in. “Okay.” You finish the rest of the meal with Lottie’s arm around you. It all feels rather domestic and you can’t help but wish for more nights like this with her. When you’re both done eating you make a move to clear the dishes and wash everything in the sink but Lottie stops you.
“You don’t have to do that, let me.” She chides gently.
“I want to.” You reassure. “And besides, it’s only fair after you cooked such an amazing meal.” She smiles, her face flushing slightly. It’s reminiscent of your youth and your chest aches fiercely with affection for her. The truth of the matter is that all of the things you felt for Lottie back then still exist within you. You don’t think you could get rid of them if you tried. So instead, you decide to embrace them. “Here, we can do them together. I’ll wash, you dry.” She acquiesces with a nod and you find a rhythm washing the dishes together.
You finish up, drying your hands on a towel and leaning against the counter as Lottie puts the last of dishes away. “I’ve missed you, you know that?” The words slip out before you can stop them. She looks at you thoughtfully.
“I’ve missed you too, love.”
“So uh, what next? What does this mean for us?”
“I’ve never been one to feel the need for labels, I find them constricting.” Your mix of confusion and slight disappointment must show on your face because she elaborates. “Call it what you want, girlfriends, partners, lovers, as long as you know that you’re mine… just as much as I am yours in return.”
“Really? You mean that?”
“Of course I do.” She assures. You pull her into a hug, clutching onto her tightly. She holds you, swaying gently while you cling to her. It’s comfortable, familiar. You really had missed her. She was always so caring towards you, in ways you had never experienced before Lottie. “It’s late, darling…” You pull away, suddenly feeling like you’ve overstayed your welcome.
“Of course, sorry, I’ll get out of your hair.”
“Don’t do that, don’t pull away again, I wasn’t finished.” She brings you in close again, her hands on your waist. “I was going to suggest you borrow something to sleep in and stay here for the night.”
“Oh…” Your face heats up in embarrassment, you have a habit of jumping to conclusions.
“Would that be alright with you, love?”
The look she gives you has any excuse you could’ve come up with dying on your tongue. You nod, letting her lead the way to her bedroom. She opens her closet and you balk, the amount of silk dresses and flowing kaftans is absolutely absurd. She slides them to the side searches for something you can borrow. She eventually settles on a matching satin set of pants and a tank top and hands them to you, her eyes searching for your approval.
“These are perfect, thank you.”
“You’re welcome. There’s a bathroom through there if you would like to change privately. There should also be a spare toothbrush under the sink and you’re more than welcome to use any of the skincare products.”
You go to the bathroom, changing your clothes first. The pants are a bit long but comfortable enough that you don’t care. You find the spare toothbrush and brush your teeth, washing your face with one of Lottie’s fancy cleansers afterwards. You moisturize and decide that’s good enough, at least for tonight. Leaving the bathroom, you go back to the bedroom. You freeze when you see her. She’s now wearing a satin nightgown that falls to around her mid thigh. You drink in the sight of her, feeling rather like a blushing teen. She must sense your presence because she turns, smiling at the sight of you in her clothes. She always was a bit possessive.
“Did you find everything okay?”
“I did, yeah. Thanks.” She pulls back the covers and crawls into the bed. You shuffle, only just now realizing she intends for you to share.
“Come, it’s late and I know you’re more tired than you’re letting on.”
And who are you to argue? You walk around to the other side and follow suit, making yourself comfortable. Lottie turns off the bedside lamp, casting the room into darkness. Slight hints of moonlight peak through the curtains, illuminating her face just enough for you to make out her expressions. She looks unsettled, maybe a bit restless. You move a bit closer to her and reach out, taking one of her hands in yours.
“Goodnight, Lottie.”
“Goodnight.”
You fall asleep, still clutching her hand.
_________________________________________________
Lottie looks at you, admiring how peaceful you seem. She thinks over what you said. A hunt. Well that’s not an option— not again… not when she isn’t sure the two of you would be protected in the same ways you were before. She wasn’t lying when she said she didn’t favor you or protect you from the draw, both you and Lottie were the only ones that could hear the wilderness back then and as such had its favor. But circumstances had changed. You’d both left it, abandoned it and she was worried it might come back to bite you. She knows what she must do.
Slipping out of the bed, she gently removes her hand from yours and smiles gently as you curl up, hugging a pillow. She finds a pair of shoes and a knife, leaving the cabin and walking the familiar path to an old tree stump in the woods. There are several old candles in a circle around it and next to it is a pack of matches. She carefully strikes a match and lights each candle one by one. She takes a deep breath, centering herself. Approaching the makeshift alter, Lottie takes a knife to her non-dominant hand. “Please let this be enough.” She begs, slicing into her palm. Barely noticing the sting, she squeezes her hand, letting the blood drip onto the tree stump below.
When you wake up, you’re not immediately sure why. As you gain a sense of your surroundings you realize you’re alone. You reach towards where Lottie was when you fell asleep, feeling the cold sheets. She must’ve left not long after you fell asleep, you frown. Something is wrong, you’re sure of it.
You throw on a jacket and some shoes, preparing yourself to find her. Eventually, while searching the nearby area of forest you see a thinner path that looks less frequented. You follow it, letting your intuition lead you. It’s there that you find Lottie, knelt on the ground as the last hours of darkness bleed into morning. Her cheeks are stained with dried tear tracks and her hand sports a deep cut straight across the center of her palm. The blood crusted around the wound hints at how long she’s been there and you approach her quietly, careful not to startle her. You crouch down beside her and lay a gentle hand on her shoulder.
“Lottie…” The concern bleeds into your tone and when she looks up you can’t help but sigh softly at how lost she seems.
“This has to be enough— blood, it wanted blood, that’s what you said. I gave it what it wants.” It sounds like she’s trying to convince herself. You and her both know it doesn’t work like that but you hope, just this once, it can be satisfied with a bit of spilled blood rather than a full on draw.
You help her up, supporting some of her weight as you bring her to the nurse’s station. You’re both silent as you walk. She seems shaken and you can’t really blame her. You feel absolutely awful that you had a hand in making her spiral like this. The things you said yesterday after what you saw? They were clearly bound to affect her in some way and the fact that you were too blinded by your own feelings to notice makes you feel slightly sick to your stomach. You wish she would’ve opened up to you instead of putting up a front and helping you to her own detriment. The two of you used to be so in tune but now? It’s evident that the years of separation have done damage to your ability to communicate with each other.
You open the door to the nurses station and shuffle Lottie inside, sitting her down and grabbing supplies. The thought that it was not long ago that she was doing this for you strikes you. It feels like so much has changed since that first night at the compound. You gather similar supplies, gauze, tape, antiseptic, and antibiotic ointment. She hisses at the sting of the antiseptic and you breathe a sigh of relief as she seems to have regained awareness.
“I’m sorry, it’s almost done.” You slather on some of the antibiotic ointment and tape a bit of gauze to her palm, securing it with a small roll of cloth wrapped around her hand. “There, all better…” You hold her bandaged hand between two of yours, wishing you could do more to help her.
“Thank you, Y/n.” She says solemnly. You hum in acknowledgment, bringing her hand up to press a kiss against it. You’ll be okay, you think. Both of you… eventually.
You hope.

You knew it was him, though his back was to you. For you had been walking behind him all your life.
An entourage of personal guards surrounded your father. Cyclone. The strongest band of ninja from the Oasis village. All of them carried shields fashioned like scorpion pedipalps. Face masks covered all but their eyes. In the center was your father. The elders listened with rapt attention as he raconteured some epic story containing a dragon with arms outstretched and a stentorian voice. Baki sat among them, his eye shifting between you and Father. Neither Kankuro nor Temari were present yet.
“Ahh,” said Ebizo. “And here is Lord Kazekage now.”
Your father turned to see who had come, his eyes widening underneath the disk of his village head hat; they were devoid of the madness you were accustomed to seeing in them.
“(Y/n) …” Father ignored Gaara to marvel at you. He strolled, arms wide, to you. “My angel.”
He roped arms around you; you suppressed a flinch. He parted to caress your face. “I’ve been blind without the light of your smile,” he said.
“Father …” Your voice was high with hope. “I’ve … I’ve missed you.”
“Not nearly as much as I have missed you, my star.” His voice hadn’t been this gentle in addressing you since you were a child, lulled to sleep by the bounce of his knee. “How I managed in the dark, I will never know.”
Gaara bowed to him. “I have hoped to meet you for a very long time, Lord Boutoku.”
“Oh, son-in-law.” Your father strode toward Gaara, arms ready to embrace him. “You are the splitting image of the fourth Kazekage himself.”
He enveloped Gaara as everyone watched, not sure of what to say.
“Come,” Father urged. “There’s much to discuss.”
Your father’s Cyclone parted down the middle to admit the three of you. You followed Gaara to the table, but your father remained on his feet.
“It is a shame Lady Ikanago is absent,” Ebizo said. “She would have relished this the very most.”
“There will be more than enough time for me to become acquainted with the Sand’s dignitaries, surely,” your father said.
“Lord Boutoku was just telling us about the customs of your village,” Baki told you.
“Yes,” your father said. “Now —“
The door burst open. Temari and Kankuro came through.
“Don’t start without us —!”
“Kankuro, get off my foot —!”
“Ahh,” your father said, “and this must be Lord Kazekage’s eldest sister.”
Their eyes widened before they hastened to compose themselves, hands going behind their backs.
“Uh — yes.” Temari bowed. “A pleasure.”
“It’s very nice to see you again, Lord Boutoku,” Kankuro said.
“The feeling is mutual,” your father said. “Come, come. Now that we’re all here, we can discuss the wedding at last. But first.” Your father clapped his hands, and a servant knelt at his side, offering something in his hands. Your father took it to give to you. “Your mother made me promise to pass this on to you when the time came, and I infringe upon her memory if I withhold it from you a moment longer.”
A small velvet box. You opened it: a ring.
Your mother’s ring.
“It’s beautiful,” Gaara said.
You gawked at the miraculous rock for a few seconds longer before slowly raising your head to your father. He had loved no one in the world more than her. Hideo a close second (and you last, probably). Warmth blanketed over your entire being as Father squeezed your hand.
“I am sure Lord Kazekage had his own plans for securing a ring. I hope he does not mind,” he said, eyes soft on you.
“Not at all,” Gaara interjected. “The Oasis is very loyal to its traditions; I suspected something like this may happen.”
And he gently took the ring box from your hand as the members of the council watched, entranced by the sight of Gaara taking the ring from the box and sliding it over your finger.
You raised your hand to the light; the ring shone like a star he’d pricked from the sky just for your finger. You observed the scene, as if it had been plucked from one of your daydreams. Gaara before you, your father blessing it all, Kankuro, Temari, and Baki smiling.
“I’m … so happy,” You said, choked with emotion. “Thank you, Father, I — Thank you …!”
“What a blessed union,” Ebizo said. “Hopefully, Lord Boutoku will be open to answering a few of our questions?”
“Of course,” Father boomed. “Of course!”
Your father spoke of the traditions of your village. Dual colors were decided on, a mixture of the Sand’s beige with your village’s blue, along with the special foods that have become specialties in the Oasis. By the end, there was a layout for the reception, who would be coming and then seated where.
It was surprisingly fun for you. Temari had taken it upon herself to bring a binder to keep the information safe and at hand. You were waiting for your father to pause in the event of possible objections, but it obviously wasn’t necessary; the council was besotted with your father, hanging on his every word as he circled the council’s oval table as though lecturing them.
“Now,” Father sighed dramatically with a pat of his thigh, “if the council would oblige me, the trip here was excessive, and I am not as young as I used to be …”
“Of course,” Ryusa said. “A period of rest is warranted now.”
A Sand guard appeared by Gaara’s side to whisper, “It’s time, Lord Kazekage.”
Gaara nodded as you frowned, confused. It hit you: Matsuri.
“Gaara,” You murmured. “I want to come. I know this will be hard for you.”
“And I would like you to be with us.” Gaara lowered his head. “But perhaps it’s better for you to stay and reconnect with your father.”
A few seconds and you said, “Okay.”
“And,” Gaara smiled, “perhaps excise a few details?”
You chuckled. “Will do.”
You gave Gaara’s arm a reassuring squeeze before he raised from his seat, Kankuro and Temari following him.
“I’ll send one of them to tell you how things went,” Gaara said.
You nodded and watched the three of them leave. By the time you turned your attention back to the council, it was disbanding. Your father came to you.
“I finally have you to myself, my dove,” he said. “Lord Kazekage has fixed me with my own quarters. Come along. We have much to talk about.”
You didn’t know what to expect as you entered your father’s private room. Similar to yours, save for the luxuries yours didn’t possess (which, you were sure, was Temari’s doing in an effort to impress him). A fireplace crackled in the quiet space, dousing amber light on the sitting room floor as the curtains were drawn. Two plush loveseats faced each other, separated by a rug and a coffee table. A large bed sectioned off in the corner.
Your father followed you in, Chuuyou on his tail.
“These knees.” Your father sank into a couch with a pained sigh. “Never get old, (Y/n). Promise me that.”
“I promise,” You said simply to obey.
“Chuuyou.” Father turned to him. “I applaud you for protecting my daughter, as you have. You have made both your village and head proud.”
“Thank you, my lord.” Chuuyou bowed his head, both out of respect and, though he could not hide it from you, to conceal his guilty expression.
He’s still thinking about the beach.
Seconds passed in silence. You sat across from Father, feeling as though it was what he was waiting for, and remained stock still. Another sigh from him. He appeared aged in a way he never had to you before.
“Despite all my orders,” he said after a century, “you still have not tried to poison him.”
Oh no. You balled your fists in your lap. You shrank into yourself, desperate to make yourself smaller.
“I’m sorry.” You hung your head. “I’m sorry I disobeyed, I … I just couldn’t.”
“… Thank the gods.”
You looked up. “What do you mean?”
“I mean, I have been rash.” Father ran a hand over his face. “There is more benefit to you marrying the Kazekage than there could ever be in disposing of him.”
“But …” Hope, once again, sat tentatively inside of you, unsure of its place in this conversation. “What about Hideo?”
There it was — the insane look common in your father’s eye rushed into his irises, all for it to disappear as quickly as it had come. Father lowered his gaze, his entire being depressed and deflated, and for a moment you felt the full weight of your father’s losses like it was yours. And in a way, it was.
“I have lost a great deal, by living in the past,” your father said. “I refuse to lose anything else … It was a mistake to send you here under such nefarious pretenses.”
“Father …” You were so quick to tears lately and now was no different. You couldn’t believe it. Relief and sympathy raised within you. The vice, wrapped around your heart always, fell away.
“Just tell me one thing,” he said, looking up at you finally. “Do you think you may come to love him?”
You thought, now, of Gaara, and the unobstructed path that now led to him.
“Yes.”
Matsuri was relocated to the Sunagakure prison later that day. Multiple accounts of her espousing her jealousy and displeasure of Gaara’s imminent marriage to you had reached a variety of ears, and, with all the evidence against her and no more cards to play, her guilt was obvious.
In the midst of all of this, all you wanted to do was go to Gaara — to be there for him and because, freed from your bond of violence, you ached for him — but you fought against it. Surely what he needed now was time to breathe. Despite knowing so little of her, you knew Matsuri had been his student, and to watch her fall into treason due to personal feelings had to be traumatic.
You just wanted to be out of the way. You couldn’t shake the feeling this was partially your fault to begin with. You kept to your room, unsure of what to do with all this free time and lack of anxiety. You couldn’t believe you were free. You admired the little piece of sky sparkling on your finger. You only had the slightest recollections of your mother wearing it as she held you, tending to your tiny body and needs.
You held your ring finger with a tenderness mirroring hers, sat at your windowsill as evening sighed into night, the soft whistling of the wind brushing past a village at peace, when a knock ripped you from your reverie.
You straightened. “Come in.”
You expected a maid who’d come to tell you dinner was ready, but —
“Are you all right?”
You startled. Gaara shut the door behind him, never taking his eyes off you, and let himself into your room. He was without his Kage robes, dressed in his trench coat.
“Gaara,” You said, astonished. A pause.
“I’ve not seen you all day.”
“I thought it best to stay away,” You said. “Are you all right?”
His eyes rounded with clarity. “You’ve heard.”
“Maids like to gossip.”
He was quiet for a second. He looked away. “It is done.”
“I am so sorry.” You removed yourself from the window seat and crossed the room to him. You folded your arms, having it awkward to have them simply dangle there, and you weren’t sure if Gaara would like to be touched.
Gaara’s head hung still. He looked so aggrieved, tiredness lining his face.
“What happened?” You asked carefully.
“There was an abundance of evidence,” Gaara began. “The elders were especially hard on her. Matsuri cried a great deal.” His hands clenched at his sides. “She kept saying it wasn’t her and that she’d been framed, yet there was nothing she could do or say to defend herself.”
You sat on your bed. “Sit with me,” You said, patting the space beside you.
When he did, he continued: “I forgive her.” Gaara turned to you. “Please do not let this taint your view of who she is. She is still a very talented and gifted shinobi.”
“I won’t.” You shook your head. Despite the anger you felt for Matsuri at the last meeting with the council, it had long since passed, and all you felt was a hollowness for the man beside you, his aggrieved bewilderment your own.
Gaara gazed into his lap, invisible brows furrowed by sorrow. “I … am still perplexed as to how this could have happened … Matsuri … But I also know love is a powerful force that can make people act contrary to themselves.” His hand inched toward yours, resting on your lap. “I know because … though I felt sympathy for Matsuri, I feel as though my heart wasn’t with her.” He looked up at you. “It was with you.”
“Gaara …” You held his hand. You were beyond flattered, and, with the new conditions you were under, you felt you could really lean into the reserved but true affection Gaara was giving you. You, now, lived in the serene turquoise of his eyes as the faintest of smiles crossed his face.
“I wanted to return to you to be by your side. All I could think about was you today, and the ring … Our future.” He rose from the bed, your hand still in his. “Come. There is something I’d like to show you.”
“Of course,” You said, curiosity lilting your voice.
Gaara led you down hallways. You realized you had never been to this area of the palace before. It was a more secluded part of the palace, quieter; nothing but a simple vase potting an enormous plant by the new, mysterious doorway you were led through.
He led you to a door, and all clicked into place for you.
His room. Gaara’s room.
At that moment, you realized you had never actually been to Gaara’s room. You couldn’t even tell anyone where it was in the palace. Sweat pressed against your palms. Warm light filled the room, but it was bare save for a simple wooden desk, a lamp, a bed, a carpet — but what caught your attention was the collection of cacti on the desk.
Definitely Gaara’s room.
He let you in first and you heard him close the door behind him as you took it in with a small smile.
You turned to him. “What do you want me for?”
“I invited you here because I wished to see you in private,” Gaara said. “I want to be alone with you. I’ve …missed having you by my side since the tent. I’ve never had anyone so close to me for so long.” Color came to Gaara’s cheeks. “As a couple,” he began, approaching you, “we should be sharing a room — and a bed.”
You turned to it, conspicuously wide enough for the two of you. You stared. Nothing was keeping you from Gaara now.
“Then perhaps we should make it truly ours.”
Gaara searched your face, your meaning lost on him, as you approached.
This time, you kissed him.
You cupped the back of his head, where crimson hair ran between your fingers. When Gaara reciprocated, your legs weakened, but he kept you steady with all the strength with which you’d been familiarized.
You had not realized your feet were moving backwards until the slight jab at the back of your knees.
With a whimper, you fell backward. Gaara quickly caught you. You sat on the bed, scooting away from him, which he took as a beckon to follow. You sighed when your head pressed into the pillows. Gaara blanketed your body with his, his lips possessing yours a second time.
You moaned, opened your mouth for his tongue to come play with yours. You welcomed the pressure of his body on top of you, your hands once again losing themselves in his hair as he flicked and nibbled against your lips.
“Show me,” Gaara moaned against your jawline, his tone raw and commanding as your hands scaled his back. “Show me everything from the books. I want to know everything.”
“That could take a while,” You hummed, your lips parting as he nibbled at your flushed skin. But we have time. We have all the time in the world.
“Then you should start now.” Gaara nibbled on your neck. Your heels dug into his calves as his wet tongue swept over the vulnerable skin.
You fumbled, pulling yourself out from under Gaara to work your shirt over your head, grappling with the deja vu you felt as you tossed it aside. You couldn’t wait. You couldn’t. Gaara awkwardly fumbled with the buttons of his trench coat until you assisted.
So many layers. You shed your pants away, now down to your underwear. You had never let another see you this naked before, let alone nude, besides your maids, and there were no secrets amongst women. But somehow, you were not nervous as you unhooked your bra. Gaara’s motions had stilled to a stop. Flutters went straight to your cunt with the way his eyes scanned you, hungry, as it slowly unfolded before him.
Your panties hung around one bare ankle when Gaara brushed a hand over your leg. He hooked fingers under your panties to pull them away himself and onto the floor.
“I want to touch you.” His tone was impossibly husky, low. His hand traveled from your leg to your inner thigh.
You laid back down for him. You were completely bare for him now, you realized, as his eyes roved hungrily over your naked flesh. Gaara’s head settled over your chest, pressing kisses against the valley of your breast, one hand preoccupied with your nipple —
“Mm …!” You arched into him. Gaara’s teeth grazed against another nipple. His curious tongue swirled against the rising bud. You heard the buckles of his uniform unfastening as your head sunk in the pillows, and you knew he was in the midst of shedding the remainder of his gear as he busied with your breasts. His naked skin pressed against your thighs. Your cunt throbbed, maddening you to be touched.
Thankfully, Gaara’s curiosity worked in your favor; his lips traveled down your skin, brushing over a nipple before sliding past the bones of your ribcage. His hands hooked over the fat of your thighs, the soft brush of your pubic hair grazing his chin.
“I remember, in the books …” Gaara’s thumb gently spread one lip, your juices surely leaking over. “The man tastes the woman. I want to taste you, too.”
Your heart skipped; Gaara’s hot breath hit your lips. “He licks up the valley of her lips …”  .
You gasped. You realized what he was doing; he was quoting Icha Icha.
His lips flicked experimentally at your folds. You flinched, a knee knocking his head.
He paused to examine you. “Does it feel good?”
“Yes, Gaara …” You gripped one of Gaara’s shoulders to compel him forward, excitement causing you to flutter. “It feels so good …”
Not needing to be told twice, he sank down, gave your folds a series of licks. You could feel him pause to taste your juices before starting again.
“Good …” he murmured. “So good … If I’d known …”
“Keep going …!”
You lost a hand in his hair. Gaara was eating you. It was unreal. His hot breath on your lips, his open palms spreading your thighs open, was something right out of your wildest dreams. He ate you gently, experimenting with this new territory that was you. You were more than happy to oblige, spreading your legs wider to become more accessible to him in a way you have never been with any man before him. You gripped the sheets at his sudden kisses, the unsuspected swipes of his tongue. His fingers gently spread and kneaded at your labia, exploring you and overstimulating you in the process.
Gaara came up, accidentally brushing a nose against your clit —
You cried out. You pressed him into your cunt. A quick learner, he tested the tip of his tongue against the nub, coaxing another series of moans from you. Your eyes doubled back as he latched on to your clit, the suction of his lips driving you wild.
You writhed underneath him. Your hands rubbed over his hands as he lapped up your juices.
“Oh — use — Gaara, you have to use your — your fingers, oh!”
Gaara paused momentarily, as though something had occurred to him.
“She welcomed his fingers like old friends into her heat …”
You felt his thumb brush against your folds. It pressed farther in until it breached the entrance of your hole.
“Gaara …!” You pulled at his hair.
He grunted but did nothing to stop you, teasing your entrance with his thumb as his tongue swirled around your clit. Your legs trembled, your back arching off the bed and into his willing mouth. Your juices seeped past the fat of your behind, only for Gaara to reach down to collect it with his tongue.
His breath quickened as he replaced his thumb with a finger, pressing it in —
“Ahh! Ha—aha!” A familiar tightness was tormenting your abdomen. Close, close. You tried to think through your haze; if you could just get him to … “Another, please, and — and curl them up, oh —“
“I will …!”
He obeyed with a soft growl, adding another finger into your slippery heat. Your strangled breath coincided with his fingers sinking in. So full, but not enough. You ached for more, bucking your hips in desperation. As instructed, he brought his fingers up in beckoning —
“Aah!”
Gaara’s tongue returned to your clit, curling his fingers again and again, your juices seeping, slipping past his digits. You rocked into his fingers, finding a rhythm with him.
He sucked and kissed your clit, fingers beckoning one final time —
You cried out, clutching at him with both hands. You clenched over his fingers, the walls around them becoming rougher and tighter as your climax came. You shuddered, biting your lip. Gaara was not stopping, inciting wave after wave through you until you plateaued. Pleasure crashed back down around you, forcing you limp against the bed.
“Gaara!” You warned, pushing him away. “Stop, stop! I — I can’t —!”
Immediately, he pulled his mouth and fingers away. You fell to your side, squeezing your legs. You panted, face hot, and in your haze wondered, in the future, if he would do this to you: edge you without realizing — or maybe on purpose? Finger and fuck your poor insides to make you a fumbling mess, as long as it was what you liked. If you told him, he would do it …
A second or so more and Gaara’s hand brushed against your elbow. “Was that all right?”
You turned over your shoulder to look at him, stars in your eyes. “Incredible.” You twisted to face him, kissing his lips, tasting and smelling yourself on him.
It wasn’t long before you were throbbing again, desperate for more contact. Your overactive imagination made it so. He embraced you in the kiss, his warm cock poking at you. You broke the kiss, panting as you brushed him aside to admire him.
You salivated at the sight of him. Your dream to have him twitching and dripping his seed down your mouth was not gone, but … but you couldn’t wait any longer.
Besides, there would be more time for that.
“I need you inside of me,” You said.
He seemed to understand. You laid back down for him to topple you. Visions of the future — you topping him, bouncing atop his cock, swallowing his seed from under his table— filled your mind. Many fantasies that had already been revisited during your alone times. There would be so much time now. You just needed him.
You helped him position himself. Your excited cunt clenched around nothing in anticipation. You bit your lip as his cockhead brushed against your entrance.
“You will tell me,” Gaara began, both an assumption and an order, “if anything hurts.”
You nodded hastily, clinging to his arms. “Of course.”
“Good,” he said, “because I may not be able to stop.”
His cock slid into you, filling you in ways you couldn’t have imagined. You clung to him, nails digging into his forearms as he filled you to capacity.
You nestled in the crook of his neck. “Gaara …”
Pain gave way to pleasure as Gaara succumbed to a thrust. Your head whirled with the novel sensations. The pain was alien but not immense. You stifled stammers out of fear they might encourage him to stop.
Under no circumstances could he stop.
Another thrust —
“Mmfm!” You threw your head back. Gaara’s lips crashed into yours as he moved against you, slapping his hips into yours.
You bit into his neck this time, nibbling at the hickeyed skin soon to bruise there. Gaara’s hand found your clit by accident — and upon seeing your pleased reaction, fixed his hand there and circled it.
He grunted with pleasure as your legs involuntarily wrapped around his waist. His pants puffed into your skin as he pounded you. “Ti — tight …!”
The pain at your core mingled with the pleasure in a way that was strangely pleasant. Your lips part to emit a confused moan-whimper. You wanted more, demanded more. So enamored with Gaara’s plundering of your cunt and his sounds increasing in volume, you didn’t feel him flinch away until his cock had left you.
Gaara pulled away, a hand glued to his cock with eyes squeezed shut. White spent spilled over your inner thigh with a frustrated cry from Gaara. You watched, mesmerized, as ropes of come spilled from his slit and onto your beaded skin.
“Gaara …” You murmured, cunt squeezing around nothing.
He opened his eyes to mere darkened slits, panting as he observed his work.
“I’m — I’m sorry …” He began to come to his senses, realizing what he’d done. “I didn’t know …”
“It’s okay.” You swept his spent from your thigh with scoops of your finger, disposing of it on the fabric. “They’re just sheets.”
Gaara glanced up at you. “Yes, but you …?”
“It’s okay.” You inched toward him. “I can’t get you back up, don’t worry …”
You caressed his cock, now turning flaccid. Gaara took a sharp intake of breath as your grip grew firm. You ran your tongue over your bottom lip before pressing a soft kiss to his head. You tested the waters, taking him into your mouth slowly  to see how he would react. Another kiss and swipe of your tongue —
“Nnrgh …” Gaara fisted the sheets.
You resisted a smirk as you drew back, eyes flickering up at him. “Good?”
“Yes …” His breathing had grown labored, no doubt due to the gentle strokes you spoiled his overstimulated shaft with.
You leaned forward to run your tongue over the ridge of his head, outlining the span of it with your tongue. Gaara’s short, nearly inaudible gasps spurred you on to trap his head between your lips and suck.
“Ah, hah-ah —“
You took in more of him, feeling the veins trailing his cock grow more prominent with each new inch into your mouth. You grazed your fingertips over his balls as you dared another inch, hollowing your cheeks to serve his twitching cock.
“All right.” Gaara’s hand laid on your shoulder. “Enough — enough.”
You obeyed and released him with a pop. He was near fully erect now, his cock level with your face. You dug nails into your thigh. It had been so hard for you to resist tweaking your clit with him buried in your mouth.
“If you go on, I won’t last,” he explained.
You nodded and followed the gesture of his gaze back into bed. He returned to his rightful place above you.
“One day soon, I’ll be on top,” You rambled, cheeks red and hot, as Gaara repositioned himself above you. “I can’t imagine how good you’d feel.”
“That day will be today. I only want to get this right now,” Gaara said, and with the tiniest bit of fanfare, placed his head at the tight ring of your cunt and slid inside.
“Aah — AHAA!”
“You seemed to like this before,” Gaara said, voice raised with teasing tilt as he rolled two finger pads into your neglected clit, accompanying his play with deep, slow thrusts.
“Mm …!” You arched into him, your leg spasmed in his hold as he tapped at your clit, Gaara’s fingers dangerously close to where his cock and your opening met. “Gaara!”
“That’s it,” he said. “That’s what I want to hear.” His thrusts quickened inchmeal, but a simple step felt like a mile. “I won’t be a novice for long, (Y/n). I’ll learn everything.”
He slapped a hard thrust into you and stayed there, your hips to his.
“I’ll make you feel everything,” he said as your head fell back into the disarrayed pillows.
You clenched him hard without meaning to. He had to stop talking, otherwise … The encouragement of your cunt was enough to make Gaara rock into you, lustful grunts sounding above you. You closed your and looped arms around his; his clit play would not stop; three fingers tweaked and circled your clit now, your pleasure mounting.
“She finds herself at the peak of climax, and he would be the one to deliver it to her …!”
With a loud moan, you clenched around him tighter and relished the startled moan he gave. His frown rested against your forehead. He seemed to be battling both with the pleasure he felt and the struggle to understand you, how this was possible. Your clit fixed between his two fingers, driving you mad as he filled you again and again with his cock.
Tightness gripped you again, and you knew were you were close. Gaara’s hand abandoned your calf to knead at your breast, eyes closed as he lost himself in you.
“I — I’m …” he panted. “Again …!”
Gaara’s cock twitched inside of you. Close. How could he not be? You knew this wouldn’t last long, even with the help of your mouth. Your mind blared white, bright with the idea of Gaara coming so deep inside of you —
“Ahah …” Your vision gave you another pleasured throb you didn’t need. “Gaara …!”
Stupid, stupid. You couldn’t let him, you couldn’t —
But you wanted it. Wanted him. You gripped on to him tighter. “Do it,” You ordered. “Do it, I want you — want —“
Yet as he slammed into you one final time and the warmth of his come filled you, you could do nothing but hold him closer and take it. His fingers tormented you, the stimulation sending you over the edge as well.
Gaara pulled out, and you felt the slick of his seed seep from your hole onto the sheets. You moaned, clenching around his spent.
So good …
“Amazing …” he remarked, eyes on your drooling cunt.
You tried to wade through the pleasure thrumming through you to understand your mistake, but couldn’t. The after-sex buzz proved too profound. You could hardly register it as a mistake at all, what with how good you felt, pleasurable aches simmering underneath your flushed skin. You dragged Gaara close for another kiss.
Once released, Gaara said, “I’ve never experienced this level of closeness with anyone …” He wrapped arms around you. He lowered his gaze to your beaded clavicle while you played with the damp ends of his rustled hair. “It is strange, but wonderful, too.”
“Neither have I.” You grinned. He’s so grateful. You admired the light smile that came to Gaara’s face. “Was I good?”
Gaara glanced up. “Is it possible for someone not be to be good?”
You couldn’t discern your blush from the natural post-coitus flush you had. “It’s possible.” You wished you hadn’t said it; Gaara’s brows knit together, his eyes wandering with thoughts. Apparently, you’d given him a new worry. “But you were amazing,” You hastened to add.
His expressions softened. “Good. I’m glad.” He watched you pepper his hand and arms with kisses. “I want to be as good as the men in the books.”
“I think you’ve already achieved that, my love.”
Gaara nestled closer to you in the sheets. His hand flexed — open, close — as you left a kiss on his green veins. “Do we need to stop?” Gaara asked.
You met his eye, your mind drunk with him.
“No,” You said and pulled him forward — for the two of you to be pulled under.

You had very little appetite at breakfast, your mind still enamored with the previous events that had come to pass.
Gaara was, of course, not at breakfast; tending to sensitive Kazekage duties was of the utmost importance. So instead, you choose to eat with Kankuro and Temari.
Gaara had quite the … stamina. You were sure you had looked like murder for the rest of the night; bed hair and wild eyes as you walked Gaara through all the things you had only read about and heard from other noble ladies. Aches you fought to keep discreet restricted a lot of your movements.
The sounds of Gaara’s soft pants and whispers of praise were still in your ear long after they had faded into time. Warmth spread through your cheeks as you stared idly at the water remaining in your glass, looking but not seeing.
“So close, (Y/n) —“
“You feel amazing —“
“Don’t make me stop —“
“(Y/n)? (Y/n)!”
Temari tore you from your reverie, the images of last night turning to watercolor in your mind.
“Watch the salt,” she said, pointing to your plate.
You looked down to see your hand pouring a hill of salt on your fish. You sighed, put it away and shoveled the hill from your plate.
“I’m going to give a speech at the wedding,” Kankuro said, mind made up.
“I think that’s a great idea.” Temari sipped her tea. “Just as long as you tell me what you’re going to say.”
“What?” Kankuro crossed his arms indignantly. “You don’t trust me?”
“Oh, I wonder why, Mr. psychoactive cactus man?”
Kankuro sighed in defeat as you giggled. “All right, fine,” he replied.
“Do you have anything written?” You asked, desperate for something to cling to so you might live in the present.
Kankuro shrugged. “Not yet. I’m not as good with words as Gaara.”
“Nonsense!” You playfully slapped him on the shoulder. “I’m sure whatever you say will be lovely. You’ve got to let me read.”
Kankuro held up his pinkie. “Promise.”
“I hope Lord Boutoku’s quarters are to his satisfaction,” Temari said as you wrapped your pinkie around Kankuro’s. “We wanted only the best to make him comfortable.”
So it was her. You smiled. “He’s doing well. Thank you, Temari.”
“No problem!”
Better than well, actually; your father had returned to a softer version of himself, ordering servants to and fro and requesting to be served all of his meals in bed. You resisted an eye-roll, thinking about the prima donna that he was. As long as he was happy, you supposed.
“All right, I’m outta here.” Temari set aside a napkin and rose from her seat. “Long day today.”
“With what, exactly?”
“Lady Ikanago has requested details about Lord Boutoku’s arrival, and I said I’d go fill her in,” Temari explained.
“Gonna grab her some painkillers for that hip, too?”
Temari threw a bun at Kankuro’s head, which he aptly caught and bit into.
“Or maybe some purple pandemonium.” Temari snickered as Kankuro blanched. She left her chair. “So long, you two.”
You waved goodbye to her and returned to your breakfast, humming quietly before taking a sip of your water —
“So,” Kankuro began. “You and my little brother sure had fun last night, didn’t you —?”
— You spit out your water.
“Wha — what?” You dabbed yourself frantically with a napkin.
Kankuro’s laughter shook his shoulders, the bun becoming clearly too heavy to hold under the weight of the mirth.
“How do you —“ Your mind went to wild places. “He didn’t tell you —?”
“Are you kidding?” Kankuro said. “Of course not. He’d never; he’s ever bit the gentleman he seems.”
“Then …” You looked around helplessly. “Then how …?”
Kankuro tapped a finger on his temple. “A brother knows these things; I got a good look at him earlier this morning.” He took another bite out of his now crescent moon of a bun and added with a mouth full, “plus, the two of you are such virgins — all dazed and bashful. If this is you trying to hide it, then the whole village will know.”
“Oh, gods.” You hid in your soup. You had passed out long before Gaara and had woken up in his bed without him in it, accompanied only by a simple note telling you Kazekage duties had pulled him away and to go back to sleep full of good dreams.
Kankuro chuckled. “Don’t sweat it. Nobody heard anything.”
“That’s not helping me to not sweat.”
“It’s okay!” Kankuro couldn’t stop grinning. “Really! I’m glad of it.” He shook his head, his smile not having died. “I was worried it’d never happen for him, my poor little brother.”
You groaned, elbow supporting your weight as you ran a hand over your face. “Does Temari know?”
“You’re still alive,” Kankuro said, “so no.”
That earned a little dry laugh from you, a spark of mirth, and it was gone. You looked up through a crack in your fingers. “He looked happy this morning when you saw him, right?”
Kankuro’s expression sobered a bit as he looked into your worried face. “Of course.”
You sighed, relieved.
Kankuro scooped another egg onto his plate. “You gonna go see if he’s still happy?”
“He’s busy.” Both your arms folded on the table. You looked out the window at the faraway blue sky. “I don’t want to bother him.”
In truth, you had no idea what you were supposed to do after sex. Icha Icha was coming up dry on that front; the couples usually lazed in bed or fell asleep together and the time skips gave you no idea what was meant to happen the day after.
“You’re too timid, sis.” Kankuro reached over and pinched your cheek as you grumbled. “Don’t worry about that; we bug him all day with little things. He always says he doesn’t mind. Breaks up the monotony of the day.”
You smiled to yourself. “I don’t know …”
“Both of you think too much,” Kankuro said. “Do you even think last night would have happened if my brother was so sensitive to everything you did? Stop worrying.”
You chuckled. “Okay, okay. I’ll go myself.”
“That a girl.”
You straightened your back as you neared Gaara’s office. Despite your nerves, you did want to see him again.
“Do I look all right, Chuuyou?” You asked.
He blinked, as though surprised you would expect a reasonable answer about fashion from a shinobi. “The skirt complements your legs very well, my lady.”
You nodded, assured. You had opted for your precious fishnets again, with wedged sandals and a skirt to soften their effect. Would everything be different post-coitus? For better or worse? You let yourself into his office.
“Gaara?” You sweetened your voice as the door creaked open.
Two other Sand ninjas flanked Gaara’s desk. Their heads raised when you entered. You met Gaara’s eye immediately, who stiffened upon seeing you.
“Hello, gentlemen,” You said. “I would like a minute alone with my fiancée.”
The ninja exchanged glances. You watched in mild amusement as they obeyed without a word from Gaara and exited.
“They are instructed to listen to you now as well,” Gaara said as the door closed, reading the question on your face. “I thought it appropriate, as you will be a part of my family from now on.”
Butterflies fluttered in your chest as you strode to his desk. You will be a part of my family. You admired your cactus gift now present atop it, now the parent of two tiny succulents flanking either sides of it.
“I apologize for leaving so abruptly,” Gaara said. “My responsibilities as Kazekage …”
“No!” You dismissed him with a nervous laugh. “Don’t apologize, it was nothing.”
“I never would have left you for anything less imperative,” Gaara said while shuffling papers.
Gaara’s fingers grazed yours as they ghosted the wood of the desk. And, upon instinct, you crossed the desk to him. He stared ahead. Rose-colored the pale in his face as he set aside a folder.
“Last night was … all right?”
“That’s a bit of an understatement.” You looped a finger around one of his. “Funny. I was going to ask you the same.”
“Nonsense.” Gaara’s grip grew firmer on your hand. “You were — are — everything a man could ask for.”
You lowered your gaze sheepishly, not knowing what to say to that.
Gaara gave an affirmative nod. “Good. At any rate, there is still much I wish for you to teach me.” He opened a drawer. You gawked at his collection of Icha Icha novels.
“You keep these in here?”
“They don’t interfere with work, I assure you.”
“I could’ve sworn I taught you enough last night!”
“Perhaps for one night,” Gaara said, “but not indefinitely.”
You giggled as he rose to admire you. A gentle smile narrowed his eyes. Gaara’s thumb brushed the side of your face. He left a kiss on your forehead.
Gaara …
“I intend to spend more time with you once my work is done,” Gaara said as he parted from you.
“I understand,” You said and, feigning tiredness, you added, “and in the meantime, I guess I’ll look to see what my father is up to.”
Gaara nodded wordlessly. You pet his hand, not quite through with the feel of his touch, before waving goodbye to him before leaving the office.
You might as well have been walking on pure air; there was nothing tethering you to the earth. Nothing at all.
The end of the month began to draw near. You, your father, and Gaara were in talks about how the two villages would intersect from now on. Father was willing to split his Cyclone down the middle and gift you some of the members, but you weren’t too sure. There were certain classified documents he promised you could now read and, if you deemed it wise, share with Gaara. Those you were more interested in; if you could assist in the coming together of your two villages in any way, that was how you wanted to occupy your time. The diplomacy enthralled you.
But it wasn’t because you didn’t appreciate the effort; Father hadn’t been this warm toward you since the days before your mother had died. It made you feel precious to see him grow incensed about the attack at the beach. You had to suppress laughter when he promised he would send his best to hang your attacker at a town square, slice him into pieces (whatever suited his mood that day) until you steered him on to a different subject. You often had your breakfasts with him now, where he either asked you about your days with Gaara’s family or reminisced about the good old days of being a shinobi (whenever those were, but you knew better than to interject).
And, of course, there was the ever-elusive oasis.
You asked Father if he had told Gaara anything about your village’s greatest secret, but his answers were always vague. Supposedly, he was saving the juiciest information for last.
“He’s told me nothing,” Gaara said during one breakfast Father hadn’t roped you into, “and I think it’s because I haven’t asked. I don’t wish to seem too eager.”
“Well, they can have it,” Temari had said, twirling her fork. “I’m not really that curious about some puddle of water in the middle of the desert — no offense,” she added to you with an apologetic flash of a smile. “I just care about how much of a precedent this will set for other villages we’ve rivaled with.”
“Temari’s right,” Baki said before turning to Gaara. “Excellent deduction skills, Lord Kazekage; we wouldn’t want to make Lord Boutoku uncomfortable with our inquiries. The council is doing more than enough of that on their own.”
Kankuro, you noticed, had been strangely silent on the matter.
You and Gaara were sharing a room now, which you were sure was some kind of symbolic metaphor. You had few possessions to move in besides things that were left in your closet; the clothes you had brought with you to Sunagakure, the clothes you’d bought with Temari, simple knick knacks. Gaara was more than liberal with his personal space and seemed to welcome the intrusion.
You woke one morning — ready to retch. You tore the sheets off of you and sprinted to the bathroom. You ducked your head in the toilet and vomited until you dry-heaved.
You collapsed to the side with a groan. You wiped your mouth and flushed it away.
“Are you all right, my lady?” one of the servants asked, her voice muffled through the closed door.
“I’m — I’m fine!” You rubbed your chest, stiff and aching from the retching.
What was this all about? You hadn’t eaten anything out of the ordinary? In fact, you’d barely eaten anything at all the past few days. Nothing beyond what was necessary to sustain you. Your mind had been on things far more urgent than food. How could you —
A sharp, cold chill ran over you.
No … it can’t be.
 … It could.
Leaving out your first night with Gaara, the others had been … extensive. And sorely lacking in protection.
Oh. Oh —
“Damn you, Jiraiya-sensei!” You hissed as you scampered to your feet.
This wasn’t supposed to happen! His characters never used protection! What a fantasy!
But you should’ve known better, after all the stories noble women had shared with you about their accidental pregnancies. Some had even fallen pregnant on their cycle. All of these cautionary tales had impelled the younger ones to be more careful. You had not been careful.
You were pregnant.
Your head spun as you faced yourself in the mirror, ready to … you didn’t know. Laugh maniacally? Cry? Be … happy?
Happy?
You brushed a hand over your belly. Could it be possible you were growing life there at that very moment? Your child? Gaara’s child? You would be a mother? All of these casualties formed chaotic webs inside your mind, one string falling after the last. Your overactive brain flashed images of you and Gaara and children that looked like both of you. A family. A proper family …
Worry was replaced with rising elation, like a morning sun coming to bring clarity. What if you were pregnant? Wouldn’t it be a good thing? And the wedding … no one would ever know you had gotten pregnant before; in no way would you start showing before the time came.
Who would you tell? Who could you tell? Temari? Would she be upset with you?
You wished, more than anything, to have your mother.
She would know what to do. You felt a strange kinship with her suddenly; was this what it was like for her when she had discovered her pregnancy? Your mind went a mile a minute. You knew who you could tell.
Finally, you stepped out of the bathroom to see serving ladies and Chuuyou looking concerned.
“I’m fine, really!” You assured. Your mind was made up. “Chuuyou.”
“Yes, my lady?” his soothing voice hit your ear.
“I need to see my father.”
“Ahh, and if it isn’t my favorite daughter.”
Chuuyou stepped aside so you could enter your father’s room. The windows were drawn to let in the morning sun. Tendrils of steam curled into the air from his teacup. All of this was contradicted by him fanning himself on one of the couches.
“Hello, Father,” You greeted.
“Come, come.” He centered the tray on the table.”And to what do I owe this early meeting? I wasn’t expecting to see you for a few hours more.”
“Well, uh.” You watched your father’s hands dance around the tea. He poured you a cup and offered it to you. You accepted it with a tight smile. “I have something to tell you.”
Father sipped his tea. “I’m all ears.”
“Well …” You lowered your gaze to your mug, the steam heating your chin. “I woke up feeling sick this morning —“
“Oh, don’t tell me.” Father snapped his fan closed with a chuckle. “You inherited your weak stomach from your mother. Shame, shame. The woman was my entire world, but the poor thing could be so —“
“I think I may be pregnant.”
…
Breeze whipped the curtain hems with a howl. Chuuyou seemed to take in a sharp breath in the corner, unseen by you; You only had eyes for Father. He’d become a statue, facing you without seeing.
“Pregnant?” Father’s voice was hushed, low. “You’re sure?”
“We — well, I’m not entirely sure.” You twiddled your fingers. “I haven’t done any tests, but it’s a possibility …” You cleared your throat, lowering your gaze. “Highly possible. I was sick this morning, and I’ve never felt anything like that before. We can visit the infirmary together to be sure —“
“You stupid girl.”
You glanced up — hot tea seared your face.
You screamed, hands flying to your face as you doubled over to the sound of china shattering.
“Chuuyou!” Father roared, “close the curtains!”
You collapsed on the floor, still holding your face. Every part of your face burned, hot and horrible. You wailed. Curtains rustled. A hand seized the hem of your shirt to hoist you to your feet.
“Get up — GET UP — look at me!” Father snarled, shaking you.
You obeyed with a frightened whimper. Your blurred vision of Father struggled to focus in the darkness. “Father — father, please —!”
“What did I ever do for the gods to curse me with you?” he yanked you closer. “I’ve been as patient as possible, but this? I am so sick of your whorish ways!”
“Father, fath —!”
“Chuuyou told me everything about your filthy little tryst with the Kazekage in his greenhouse,” Father hissed, hot breath close to your face. “Why do you think I’m here —!?”
He tossed you. You were a fool to think the couch would meet you; your back collided with the hard ground. You stumbled, fumbling away on the wet floor on wobbling hands and feet as Father advanced.
“Did you think I would be overjoyed to see you married off to our greatest enemy? Stupid girl!” He picked up another tea cup and threw it at your head. You dodged with a shriek and it split apart at the wall.
You gasped, clutching at the wall. Something came to light in your head, wedged by the horror. The greenhouse … You glanced at Chuuyou. At the same moment, he met your eye.
You had been alone with Gaara in the greenhouse. But you were never alone, not really. And Baki had been assured by his own informants the two of you hadn’t been seen. But you had been seen. But not by Matsuri. By someone who was always watching, for you had your guardian, your supposed protector.
Your shadow.
“It was you …” You whispered. “You spread the word about the greenhouse …”
Chuuyou lowered his gaze. “Yes …”
“You told him!” You pointed to Father, a set of dominoes toppling in your mind. “You set up Matsuri!”
He closed his eyes.
“Yes,” he muttered. “Once I realized you were truly falling in love with the Kazekage, I decided to take matters into my own hands. I left your side at times I knew you wouldn’t notice or care, and assured there were two Matsuris when there should have been one. I had a clone of her visit a gossip columnist in the village. I knew it would cause a scandal.” He bowed his head. “And it did.”
You shook your head, the level of scheming overwhelming to wrap your head around. “How could you?”
And one of Gaara’s closest? His precious student, of all people? But, with a sickening feeling in your stomach unrelated to the fetus growing there, you began to understand: It would appear as though Gaara was a leader, a Kage, who did not have his house in order, who could not control those closest to him. An unstable house was one easy to topple. How he must have felt in the desert, when morning had come and Gaara was still alive.
“The Sand must be defeated, My Lady —“
“Do not call me that!” You shrieked. “You have no right to call me that!”
“This village is duplicitous, it is evil!” Chuuyou went on. “All the years of humiliation, of oppression ― it cannot be undone by something so cynical as a political marriage! They must pay for the pain they have caused us.”
“You helped to sully Gaara’s reputation to spread doubt in the council.” You felt you might retch again. “To strengthen the factions already against him.”
“His reputation has already been sullied. He is a monster — he was born on —“
“And my reputation, Chuuyou?” You murmured, your heart breaking even more than you thought it could, thought it capable. “What about mine?”
Chuuyou opened his eyes only to cast his gaze to the floor, shame keeping him from lifting his chin.
“You were supposed to protect me …” Rage and sorrow toiled inside you. And he failed both times.
You felt dirty and depraved, deprived. Chuuyou, the one person you felt you could always trust even if his shadowing had been bothersome at times. But then … What kind of fool were you? Chuuyou had been chosen by your father, after all. Anyone imposed by him should have raised your alarm, should have cast doubt within you.
“The opinion of those living in the Sand will cease to matter once I have instilled myself as their ruler,” Father said. You had not forgotten he was there. You could never forget. “I was really hoping you would surprise me,” Father’s voice was low as he glowered over you. “Everything I have taught you … I was hoping you had some sound reason for delaying your task. But instead you come to me, suspicious of carrying his child. You are so pathetically predictable.”
“So it was all lies,” You said. “All of it, from the moment you came.”
“My time here has been miserable,” Father hissed. “Having to watch you play house with that thing” — he threw his hand — “and his family. I am here for one reason and one only, and that is to take matters into my own hands.”
Your eyes widened at him. It was all beginning to make sense now. The letter — it had come after the greenhouse. Your father and his Cyclone. You had thought him simply paranoid, wanting his own protection.
That was not why.
You thought of the other Oasis ninja littered all over the palace — the entire village. Perfectly poised to act. All they needed was to be given word …
“So you’ve just been —“ You struggled to get words out. “Biding your time?”
“In a manner of speaking,” Father said. “It seems, despite my intentions, I have friends in this village.” His smile was cold. “Members of the council would like to see the Kazekage’s removal.”
A cold chill. Joseki. And only the gods knew who else. No. No …!
You weren’t quick enough — Father grabbed you again.
“I would hate to kill kin,” he said. “I am giving you not a mission, but a choice. Either you kill your beloved, or you can join your mother and brother in the afterlife.”
You stared at him. Tears ran down your face. “You wouldn’t,” You whispered hopelessly. “You wouldn’t.”
The madness had returned to your father’s eyes. Dread sank you; the madness had never left him.
“It would be a shame if I had to kill my unborn grandchild as well, a blight on our family that it is.”
He dropped you and you fell sloppily to the floor. You cradled your head as it throbbed. You cracked your eyes open, sobbing in the corner as Father left the room, and Chuuyou, his sorrowful gaze lingering on you, followed him.
You hated no one more than yourself.
You had no idea how long you laid on the floor, shattered dreams and china surrounding you. Darkness and quiet swallowed up the room. Spilled tea long cold wet the bottom of your sandals. Time blurred miserably, thick and colorless, and you inferred that it must’ve been hours. You had managed to pick yourself off the floor and skulk to the room that had once been yours. Chuuyou’s loss weighed your step where he would’ve trailed them. Locking the door behind you, you waited to collapse on the bed to collapse in every other way.
You screamed into a pillow, your tears wetting the fabric. You clenched fists into its plush, and you were sure you could rip it apart, powered by nothing but anguish.
Emotions had blinded you. You were so desperate to believe your father had changed his mind you had missed the truth: he only wanted to succeed where you had failed.
He was playing along. All this time … All the while working out sinister background details with Joseki and — horror rained down on you — others to take down Gaara. Had all those times at his bedside been a lie? You couldn’t quite believe it; Father’s joy had seemed so genuine, his laughter — when was the last time you’d heard him laugh? He’d been a different person, an echo of something long lost. The memories of all those mornings evoked a different ache in you, impelling you to touch a hand on your chest. I lost the father I never had. That’s why I feel the way I do.
Chuuyou (your shadow, what a joke) had, at some point, slipped away to frame Matsuri. What was her role in this? Beside your angst lay curiosity; a part of you wanted to go to her cell and ask her yourself.
But you couldn’t. There was no time. Angst. Curiosity. Alarm. You were possibly carrying Gaara’s child — and wouldn’t be for much longer, if you didn’t do something fast. You wiped your tears with the back of your arm, releasing a shuddering breath as you rose from bed.
There was only one card you had to play: you had to tell Gaara. Now.
You picked yourself up from your self-hate, composed yourself, and left the room for the one you shared with Gaara. He had to be there by now; it was late afternoon. The last time you had turned your head to the sky, it had been periwinkle. Your head had swelled with dreams. You hadn’t wanted to die.
You lugged yourself around, giving idle hellos to maids and servants who greeted you, working past hallways now familiar to you until you made it to the bedroom door and entered.
“Gaara …!” You were relieved.
Gaara sat at the bed’s edge, one leg swung over the other. Unharmed. He raised his head to smile at you. “(Y/n). Hello. I was just waiting for you.”
You brought him into a hug. “Thank the gods …” You whispered into his sleeve.
You felt his hand still at the small of your back. “(Y/n) … There have been some issues.”
You pulled back to stare inquisitively up at him. Carefully, you asked, “What do you mean? … What types of issues?”
Gaara cast his gaze low. “Would you be opposed to remaining only in the palace?”
“Gaara.” Your brows furrowed. “What’s going on?”
Gaara still averted your gaze. “I hate asking this of you — you’ve been so sequestered already — but … There are anti-Kazekage sentiments brewing across the village.”
“Anti-Kazekage …” You trailed. Did this have to do with the greenhouse? Or your father? Or both? “Gaara, oh no … I’m sorry …”
“Don’t be,” Gaara said. “It’s as I told you: not all have come to accept me. And as there has been a significant uptick in drama lately, it was to be expected. I highly doubt it will leak to the entire village. I’ll deal with it.” He glanced up at you at last. “But I fear for your safety, especially after what took place at the beach …” He stopped, invisible brows furrowed as he appraised you. “Is something the matter?”
“Yes.” There was no point sugarcoating. This was it. You couldn’t be a coward anymore. Do the right thing for once. For your husband. For the baby. “My —“
But your tongue refused to work; it lay limp in your mouth. Your lips parted, but only breath escaped. Sound, no words.
Gaara took your hand. “Take your time. That is what Temari would always tell me when I had trouble speaking as a child.” He paused. “As a young child.”
“I’m all right,” You said, creating some distance between the two of you. “I’m — okay, really! It’s just, my —“ Again, your tongue froze. Your lips closed against your will, refusing to help you impart speech. You tried to force words out — only to remain hopelessly tongue tied. You closed your eyes with a sinking realization.
Your heart ramped. Panic set in. Oh, no. Oh no oh no.
Father’s done something to me. I can’t say it! I can hardly  think !
“Are you okay?”
“Gaara …” Fear shallowed your breath. It gripped you like a child hiding from the dark, and you wished you had a teddy to hug. I’m so scared. What should I do?
“(Y/n).” Gaara’s voice was firm now.
You closed your eyes, bringing Gaara close. “No.” You shook your head. “I — I just …” You fought tears. You couldn’t tell the truth, and now you truly couldn’t. I can’t tell him — I literally can’t tell him. “I just can’t stay inside anymore! I feel so claustrophobic, but — but I always seem to be causing trouble for you … That shouldn’t be the case for someone you love.”
“No.” Gaara caressed your cheek. “If anything, I cause trouble for you.” And with all the authority of a Kage, he said, “I will address this. I’m sorry, truly, but it will only be for a few more days. No longer.”
Like you cared about living or being anywhere besides the Sand palace. Like you wouldn’t want to burrow into it and stay forever. Wordlessly, you brought him into a hug. You wanted to burrow inside him, hide in your fiancée, the only place you felt safe. Even if he couldn’t save you.
“If anything, I cause trouble for you,” Gaara said. He stroked the nape of your neck, his voice as gentle as autumn rain. “Forgive me.”
You pinched at his sleeve, a cue for him to comfort you more, and, miraculously, Gaara obliged, running a hand over your arm.
“You … could never cause trouble for me.”
“Do you think (Y/n) has been acting strangely lately?” Gaara asked.
His siblings lounged around the sitting room, accompanied by Baki. Despite the demands of their respective duties, some days were slower than others. Gaara lived for these days where he could enjoy the company of his family and friends, and he enjoyed it now, even with his concern for you.
At his inquiry, Temari stopped fanning herself. “Hm?”  “I haven’t noticed anything. Though … I haven’t seen much of Lord Boutoku lately. Oh.” She sighed and rested her chin on her palm. “I hope the council’s not crowding him too much. Did you hear Ryusa kept him out all day yesterday?”
“Serves him right,” Kankuro grumbled. “Geezers. All of them. He’s got some nerve, always retiring to his room because he’s tired — like he doesn’t have servants waiting on him hand and foot.”
“I’ve heard about people having …” Gaara fought the anxiety inside of him as he reached for the term, “cold feet …”
“Certainly not, Lord Kazekage,” Baki said. “You must understand: women are mysterious creatures. They need a great deal of time to themselves.”
“I second that,” Temari said. “It’s a surprise you’re not married, Baki.”
Baki gave her a flat look. “Oh, is it?”
“Gaara,” she said, ignoring Baki, “I’m sure she’s fine. Don’t worry.”
“Yeah, I’ll go check on her for you,” Kankuro said.
Gaara frowned. “But …”
Kankuro placed a hand on Gaara’s shoulder on his way out. “Big brother will take care of it. Don’t worry.”
Gaara appreciated the levity, and after a second or two nodded.
“Thank you, Kankuro.”
Kankuro made it to Gaara’s quarters. He could hear the trickle of shower water. The bed was perfectly made, along with the rest of the room. Not a hair out of place — beside your necklace on the bedside table.
Kankuro sighed. Worried about nothing, as always, Gaara. The necklace’s disk caught in the lamplight. Curiosity tugged at him. He approached the necklace. He remembered the pomp-and-circumstance that came along with Lord Boutoku bestowing it on you. The whole thing was cheesy, but … sweet. He knew how much you loved the thing, were never seen without it. Maybe the old man wasn’t so bad. Crazy, but not bad.
Kankuro grazed the necklace’s face — he misjudged it, though, and it clanked to the floor.
“Woops.” He knelt down to retrieve it, only to see its disk had cracked open.
His eyes widened. “Oh no,” he hissed. “No!”
Kankuro, what the fuck did you —?
Glistening black caught his eye. The necklace had broken apart at its center like a metaphorical heart, allowing something to … seep from it.
Something was inside the necklace.
He leaned forward to further inspect it.
Your hands ran absentmindedly over your body. The hot water did nothing to change the corpse-cold temperature of your skin. With numb fingers, you shut the water off, your hair dripping over the valve.
You felt othered from your own body, trapped in it with no choices, no resolution. The clock ticked imminently to doomsday in your mind. When would Father attack? Would he make you watch it as punishment?
I hope he kills me first. I do not want to see what he does next.
You palmed your stomach and imagined the fetus occupying your womb. The only thing anchoring you from life, and you had even failed this life before it was even born.
Drip. Drip. Drip.
Only a few days ago, you were reeling at the prospect of marrying Gaara, only sooner you were imagining starting a family. What a risible delusion. What a farce.
Drip. Drip. Drip.
You left the shower and wrapped a towel around yourself. A new set of dry clothes lay folded for you, and after drying off, you dressed. Fresh clothes. Soft. Flowery-scented shampoo, soap. The warmth of the clothes failed to penetrate your skin, much like the shower water had. You felt carved, rounded out and empty, like a shell whose creature had long since slithered away.
You reached for your necklace — it was gone.
What? Your reverie cleared enough for you to ponder. Had you misplaced it? Remembering one moment from another had become a struggle. What had you done with it?
Unless it was taken?
Your eyes widened. Panic shattered the reverie completely. What if Father had taken it, or had someone do it?
You exited the room, head swinging either way. Where would you look? The only place that came to mind was the sitting room. You headed there, descended the stairs to the last floor —
“Has anyone seen my —?”
Gaara was there, waiting for you. And Temari and Kankuro. And Baki. And a dozen other sand ninja.
You froze on the stairs.
Kankuro, blank-faced, lifted his hand: your necklace chain roped around his fingers and hung there. “Looking for something?” He turned half of the necklace’s broken face and the poison dripped blood-black dots onto the floor.
Your body, flushed from running, ran corpse-cold again. “I …”
“(Y/n) …” Gaara said. “What is this?”
Your throat was too constricted to help form words. A thousand knives seemed to hold you in place.
“An incredibly powerful agent, I’d say,” Kankuro finished for him in a detached, clinical voice, though nothing could conceal the cold fury underneath. “Extracted from the Red Spine plant. Grows from her side of the desert. I’ve even read about it … You would’ve been dead in seconds, Gaara.”
You shook your head wildly. “No, Gaara, Kankuro — I can explain …!”
“So that’s why Boutoku’s here,” Temari said under her breath. You could see the whites of her knuckles from where you stood. Shadows shrouded her eyes before she fixed you with a murderous glare. “You planned to poison him.”
There was no air in your lungs. “No … no …. Wait, I — please —“
“This whole time …” Kankuro’s anger simmered under his breath, barely held back. “It’s all been a ruse. You were waiting for us to let our guards down —“
“No!”
“I knew something was off!” Temari roared, a hysterical edge to her voice now. “I knew something was wrong! This whole time — and when you woke up in the infirmary and flipped out about the necklace being gone! You thought we’d found out!”
Tears were streaming down your face now. You tried to move your mouth helplessly to reveal the truth, but no words were forthcoming. As Father designed, your tongue rolled and failed you.
It doesn’t matter. I knew. I agreed to all of this. All of it.
“There must be some explanation.” Gaara’s voice was measured, but even you could detect the hint of desperation in his tone. “A misunderstanding …?”
You kept moving your mouth, but you were sure you only appeared stammering and pathetic, grasping at straws to craft into lies. Your legs failed; you slumped to a step. You caught Baki’s eye, quietly pleading, but disappointment seemed to keep him silent.
“There isn’t, Gaara.” Kankuro took a step. You’d never seen him look so imposing; his face paint rendered him monstrous. “She’s been wearing that fucking thing since she got here, since I brought her to you —!”
Kankuro threw the necklace, emptied of its contents, into your face. You yelped, catching it with trembling hands. Temari’s
hands shook, aching, probably, for a weapon to strike you with.
“You snake!” Kankuro hissed. “After everything —!”
“Gaara …” You looked up — and your heart fell to pieces.
Gaara was a stone, but his eyes were lined with moisture. You had brought him to near tears.
You had done this.
“What do you have to say for yourself?” Baki asked. “If you’ve anything at all to say.”
“Please, Gaara  …” You were crawling away from the stairs now, toward them. “Please, please …”
Save me.
Gaara turned away from you. His expression was cold.
“Take her.”
“No!” You screamed as ninja advanced to grab you. You kicked as you were hoisted to your feet. “No, you can’t, Gaara!” You were being thrust through the threshold when your voice ripped from your throat: “I’M PREGNANT!”
The shinobi paused, turned to Gaara for guidance.
Gaara searched your eyes, his expression reserved in his desperation for this to be true.
“Please,” You sobbed. “It’s true … You can’t do this. You know it’s possible.”
He turned around, this time his back to you. “She’ll be given a test to confirm whether this is true. We can no longer take her on her word. We’re done here … Take her.”
You sobbed miserably as you were dragged away. Temari and Kankuro’s words filtered through your awareness, but nothing registered.
“Matsuri needs to be released, we need to go get her —“
“We have to deal with Boutoku now!”
“I can’t believe this —“
But it all fell away as you lolled your head to the side. Brutal daylight hit your face as you were dragged from the palace’s entrance, and through blurry eyes, you watched the place that had become your home grow farther away. Nothing but a dream.

It felt like it had been a long time since _____ and Cale saw each other. In reality, it was merely a few days. It probably just felt like an eternity because they were both busy.
Sure, let’s go with that…
The two exchanged short pleasantries before the conversation switched to how one of the Gyerre Duchy’s vassals was committing human trafficking.
At first, the healer silently listened to the assassin and the young master talked. But then a familiar name was mentioned.
The Chryshi
_____ who has naturally and unknowingly switched their positions from in front of Ron to Cale's side perked up at the mention of a merchant guild and the Chryshi household.
A puppy-like young master and a bunny-like healer young master that naturally gravitated towards each other every chance they got…
No one knew how much this fact entertained a certain benign old man.
The so-called bunny-like healer started tugging Cale's sleeves as an indication they had something to say, too uncomfortable to speak first because there were a lot of people.
"Hmm? What is it _____, do you know something?"
Ignoring how Cale's voice softened a bit when addressing the healer, they all tuned in as to what the healer had to say.
"Back when I was with my adoptive family, I heard them bring up the Chryshi and some merchant guild in the same sentence. Whenever the conversation was about that they would also bring up about how it brings in so much income.”
_____ could see the intrigued reaction forming on Ron’s face.
“Also, there were nights when I would hear them have secret meanings with that Baron household... I wasn't allowed to take part in important conversations when I was back there so I can only tell you about things I overheard."
Cale once again feels like a headache coming.
However, it checks out if the Perduellios are part of this human trafficking scheme. How else would they get information about an ‘orphanage’ that sells blessed and gifted children?
It just makes sense.
And everyone could see that Cale hates that it makes sense.
Because if the Perduellios are part of this scheme then it would mean the orphanage _____ came from is a slave house with an orphanage front.
As if _____ hasn’t had enough in Cale’s opinion.
They already suffered from those bastards called Perduellios. If the place they came from was a slave house… how much more abuse did they experience?
“Ron, Freesia, include the Perduellios in your investigation.”
“As you wish young master-nim”
Everyone finalized the plan before moving on to another topic.
“Are you sure you’ll be fine staying alone at an inn? I can send one of them with you.”
What’s this? A certain redhead young master is acting out of character?
“I’ll be fine. I know the Gyerre territory like the back of my hand. I have done so many projects here since the Perduellios are aligned with them.”
Just as Cale mentioned, the plan is for _____ to stay in an inn. They would dye their hair and eyes as disguises too. This was because the chances of them being discovered here were higher. Not only does everyone know them, but Perduellio’s people also frequent this place.
So they had an idea to make _____ stay at an inn and pretend to be a traveller. It’s a great plan, only if Cale and Raon weren’t so hesitant.
Despite those hesitations, everything proceeded as planned.
The next day _____ went to a teahouse they used to frequent before. It was a few blocks from where Cale was drinking and should have windows so they could look at the houses from across the bridge.
Walking inside the establishment made the healer feel nostalgic. Going inside this teahouse was the only time they could semi-relax before. They were only allowed in there so rumours of the Perduellios not letting _____ have any downtime do not spread. Still, they were grateful for all those times.
_____ went to sit at an empty table with a window view. They would sit where they used to but for some reason, that table was filled with all sorts of flowers and gifts.
“Are you a traveller?”
A childish voice asked the healer. When _____ turned around to see who was talking, they saw the child of the owner of the teahouse.
“Yes I am, how did you know?”
Thankfully _____ had asked Raon to change their voice last minute.
“It’s because I saw you looking at that special table! Everyone here knows why that table is so special! You look like you don't know, so you must not be from here!”
Seems like _____ hasn’t been around here for a long time.
“That table belongs to Roan’s Medicus! Well, not belong but when uhm, when they were still around they would go here and sit over there and admire the view so my parents decided to decicate that table to them… I’ve always wanted to play with them… they were so pretty that I felt shy… I wish I had asked though…”
Guilt stabbed _____’s heart at the child’s words. They have seen this child look at them back then. However, they just thought the child was curious.
“But I'm not sad! Mom said that they are resting peacefully now! She told me that maybe they had to go because the Sun God missed them already! I'm sad that Sun God didn't ask me first if I won't miss Medicus-nim, but I understand their feelings because I'm a big girl now!”
Despite saying she's not sad, the child's eyes look teary as she talks about the healer.
“Oh, I was talking about the table! After hearing what Mom and Dad did, everyone started bringing gifts and flowers! Everyone said that it's so that if ever Medicus-nim’s spirit visits here they'd know just how much we love them! See that flower over there? I picked it myself to give it to them!”
_____ had no idea that people admired them to the point of doing something like this. It made their heart swell. Maybe they have done more than they thought they did.
“Really you did? I'm sure Medicus-nim will be happy when they see it…”
A woman came out from the kitchen, making the healer unable to finish their sentence. _____ knew this woman well, it's the shop's owner.
“Oh my! Mirari what did I tell you about bothering our customers!”
“Oh no, don’t worry it’s fine miss. We had a good conversation.”
The woman who seemed to be in her mid-thirties looked at _____ apologetically.
“I’m glad if that’s the case, but I’m still very sorry. She has suddenly started acting like this after hearing the news about the Medicus.”
Oh…
_____ doesn’t quite know how to feel about that.
So instead they just reassured Mirari’s mother that no harm was done. Nonetheless, the owner was insistent that they’d been disturbed and said that they could have something on the house.
“Traveller-nim choose tiramisu! It’s really good! Medicus-nim always ordered it!”
_____ doesn’t know if they can take any more of this.
They don’t know what they’ve done to make someone this fond of them.
“If Mirari-nim insists then I’ll get a tiramisu cake.”
The healer smiled as they waved goodbye to the child that’s being escorted back to the kitchen. As they did they wonder how such a small child could leave such big lingering feelings.
Nothing else happened after that encounter. _____ just sipped their tea and ate sweets as they watched the windows.
Then it finally happened.
Cale had gone outside acting all trashy.
As they did _____ couldn’t help but let out a small chuckle. It’s funny to see the young master acting drunk when he's clearly not. Plus that red flush on his face looks cute.
…wait what?
Uhm anyways…
Soon _____ saw the signal for them to make a move. The signal that they talked about yesterday was Cale’s shield. As soon as the redhead summoned the famous silver shield, the healer went out to be on standby.
Everything became chaotic. _____ could see the citizens not knowing what to do as the famous young master Silver Shield caused havoc.
_____ used that chaos to their advantage and went underneath the houses Cale had been eyeing since this morning.
Once they got to where the victims were _____ started healing all the severely injured people. As much as it pains the healer to pick and choose who to heal they still do. This was because the Gyerres had to see for themselves just how much these people had suffered.
So as much as they want to heal everyone, _____ only attended to those close to dying.
“Kind _____ the people our human is waiting for are here!”
Raon’s voice echoed in _____’s mind midway through finishing all the houses. That was their sign to get out before Antonio Gyerre or his knights saw the healer.
That night two cute kittens infiltrated _____’s room.
“Cale said you might use all the potions he gave to you on other people nya!”
“We are here to heal the healer nya!”
On and Hong greeted the injured healer on the bed as they welcomed themselves in through the window. _____ could only send a small smile in return, too hurt to form a response.
“Our youngest and Cale wanted to come here themselves but they still have something to do nya.”
Hong stated as he switched to his human form to properly use the healing potion he and On had brought. Meanwhile, his older sister is inspecting the healer’s body. She’s assessing every wound she can find, no doubt to tattle to Cale later.
With the help of the two siblings, _____ started feeling better in no time. They would try to do it midway themself but the healer has learned not to disturb the two kittens when they set their mind to do something.
After they were done they shifted back into their kitten forms to curl up and cuddle with _____.
Safe to say _____ slept soundly that night.
A few days later _____can finally regroup with Cale. They agreed to meet up outside the Gyerre territory, just before they had to meet up with Mary and Tasha.
_____ entered the carriage and greeted Billos. They were about to sit beside him when they felt Cale tug on their clothes. It confused the healer because why is Cale stopping them from sitting beside the merchant when they usually sit across the redhead? So _____ looked at the young master only to see him patting the space beside him.
“I assume you’ve been well?”
“Yes, thanks to you and the kids. I’m glad that you seem to be in good spirits too.”
Cale quickly assessed the healer's body to confirm if they were feeling better. After seeing that they were, the redhead grabbed a pillow from somewhere and placed it on the healer's lap. He then laid down on that pillow and started sleeping as if Billos wasn’t even there.
In turn, Billos just acted as if the young master wasn’t doing anything out of the ordinary.
Time passed and they soon arrived at the entrance of Vegas CIty where the merchant got off. As soon as he did Cale got up from _____’s lap to talk to them.
“Ron and Freesia had investigated the Perduellio Family. It turns out that the assumptions were correct. The Perduellios have been working with the Chryshis and have been smuggling people.”
Oh…
Was it too late to put their hood back on now?
Because _____ feels like they’re about to cry…
Oh no
_____ can feel the waterworks start. They tried to suppress it, but the news was just too much to bear. Especially after the conversation they had with that child named Mirari.
Tears fell as _____ absorbed the news Cale told them.
In the back of their mind, someone was telling them that they seemed to be crying a lot these days but they currently can't care.
"I didn't... I genuinely didn't know anything..."
The sorrow _____ felt at the involvement of their family felt foreign to them. Their heart feels as though it was being crushed by how heavy it was while their head feels light. They also started questioning their role and achievements. Although they didn't take a direct part in that terrible sin, they feel as though they still have a great responsibility as they were part of that family.
"I know they weren't the greatest... But I never thought they would stoop so low. What they did to me was fine but this…”
They may have not taken part in the act, but they unknowingly helped fund it.
And that made _____ feel so so guilty.
“While I was healing people, feeling like I was righteous, they were doing such a sin behind my back. Using the money I have accumulated from the sick for such a task.."
Cale can't take this anymore. He can't take _____’s tears anymore. But he doesn't know how to handle a crying person.
So he did the first thing that popped into his mind.
Cale offered his shoulder.
Well, he first wiped _____’s tears before semi-hugging them to place them on his shoulder.
The point still stands, Cale is doing something unusual.
Raon, Hong, and On watched this predicament with their jaws practically on the ground. They had seen the redhead act in all kinds of ways to get what he wanted. But never like this.
Plus, he wasn't acting. That makes it more shocking to the children.
And maybe _____ would be the same if they weren’t engrossed in their feelings.
But they are, so they just accepted the comfort the redhead silently offered and cried to their heart's content.
Later on, when Ron checked the carriage, he could see the bunny healer's head on his puppy master's lap. Both of them slept while the children were quietly chatting amongst themselves.

a/n: just a small fun fact, I wasn't gonna assign a name at first because I was too lazy but then I learned that Perduellio was the capital offense of high treason back in Ancient Rome

Stunt Work | Johnny Cage x Trans Male
Pairing: Johnny Cage x Male Reader (trans male/masc)
Summary: you’re a stunt double working on one of Johnny’s films, he’s annoying to work with and you think you both mutually hate each other…at least you thought.
Warnings: NSWF! 🔞 MDNI!!, mentions of afab anatomy, there’s almost no plot but I tried my best so it’s a little layered.
Word Count: 3.2k
A/C: I didn’t really proof read this a whole lot, so ignore any errors pls <3
Part 2 here <-
Tumblr media
“Alright, Cage, you gotta commit to it man stop flaking— grab his shoulder, flip him over and leg lock.” The director instructed Johnny who was shirtless, sweating and in an overall fussy mood because he couldn’t for some reason commit to performing the stunt on you all the way.
“Hop off my sack, man. I’m trying.” Johnny breathed heavily.
“If I may-“ you tried to put in a word of advice but it was quickly shut down.
“Listen, G.I Joe, zip it-“ Johnny barked, all cocky.
“You both been acting like cats and dogs all day, cut it out!” He yelled and then turned to Johnny, “What’s gotten in to you? You’re literally a martial artist, an actor, and you keep stopping at a simple leg lock?” The director whispered at him, patting his back.
The director not reprimanding his shitty behavior and only talking about his stunt block made you scoff loudly.
Johnny gave you a brief look before looking away and shaking his head, “I know I am, I’m the best there is— I’m Johnny Cage for god’s sake.”
“That’s the spirit! Now, another take! We’re gonna get this!” The director yelled.
You rolled your eyes and got to position, as well as Johnny getting in to fighting stance in front of you.
“Action!”
Johnny started throwing his moves at you, you dodged them successfully and then the sequence he struggled was next. He grabbed your shoulder, flipping you over on to the padded floor harshly which made you groan, and then finally performing the leg lock on you— extending your leg between his thighs on the floor as you grunted. You thought he finally got the move down until you felt something firm against your thigh as he kept it in a hold. You hesitantly look down and notice that between his legs was a rock hard erection making you go completely still and your eyes widen. Of course, he noticed your reaction and he immediately let you go and stood up with an embarrassed look on his face. A blush covering his cheeks as his shades hid part of his face.
“Way to go, Johnny! That’s my boy!” The director yelled.
You got up from the padded floor and cleared your throat, a heat coming from your neck. Not really looking at him as you were ready to run off set to your trailer.
“Are we done?” You look at the director and ignore Johnny’s flushed face.
“Yes yes, go ahead and take your breaks.” He patted an immovable Johnny’s back.
Without even a second thought you rushed to your trailer, a bunch of feelings and thoughts flooding your head. You were confused as to why you felt an attraction to the asshole, you were supposed to hate his guts, right? But now, since it’s pretty obvious he didn’t wanna do a leg lock all day was because he didn’t wanna reveal the rock hard boner he got in that position with you it made any rationality of in your head vanish.
An hour passed since you were trying to relax in your trailer, that is until you heard a few firm knocks on your door making you jolt and walk to it.
“Listen, if the stunt needs more rehearsing I might shoot myself-“ your words caught at the back of your throat as you saw a showered Johnny in front of you with a raised eyebrow and an amused expression.
“Easy, G.I Joe. It’s me.” He grinned at you.
“No- we ain’t doing this shit. You cannot just knock on my door with a smile and expect me to forget how much of an insufferable dick you’ve been.” You went to close the door on his face but he shoved his foot in and firmly moved his way in.
“What the-“
“Unclench your ass, I just need to talk.” He walked in with his hands in his pockets, he was wearing slacks and a navy blue dress shirt with his usual shades.
You slam the door closed as you turn around and near him, “The only reason why I’m letting you in is because I need this damn job— I would have kicked your ass by now.”
Johnny smirked, completely not phased by your red angry face, taking his shades off and looking in to your eyes with his big brown warm eyes. “Listen, I know I was a bit of a dick but I like you despite our quarrels on set. It’s an eat dog eat dog world out there, baby.”
You scoff loudly, “Baby?”, a redness in your face.
Johnny walked around your trailer, looking at your room and decorations on the walls. “Never had anyone call you pet names huh, stud?”
You shake your head and follow behind him, “Forget that. Why the hell did you have a boner when you did a leg lock on me?”
His cocky smile suddenly falters as he turns around to meet your eyes, his face uneasy. “That’s what I came to chitchat about. I’d appreciate if you didn’t go around to gossip about that. It wouldn’t be good press.”
You laugh dryly, “So you didn’t come to explain yourself but rather save your ass?”
Johnny rolled his eyes, “I’m a star, I don’t need any bs like that getting out there you understand? Plus, do you honestly think I could have controlled what happened?”
You shake your head, “That’s not the point. You know how many accidental boners I’ve experienced while doing stunt work? There’s friction when doing stunts it happens, it nothing perverted, But all of the actors I’ve worked with have apologized, just out of decency.”
Johnny actually stayed quiet, pondering on what to say, “I’m…I apologize. You know, I don’t usually apologize— I’ve been so out of it today and you being around just messed with my focus.”
You approach him more, “You’re blaming me for not being able to perform a stunt? I was distracting you?” You say bitterly.
“I’m not blaming you. Only explaining. I- I didn’t want to do the stunt all the way because I knew the second I got you on that leg lock…you’d feel it.” He looks away, a hint of vulnerability for the first time all day.
You sit down on a chair, taking a deep breath, “It wasn’t the friction.” He continued, looking at you with a certain emotion that you couldn’t quite tell what it was.
“What-“
“It was you. Moment you walked on set.” He played with the rings on his fingers, a more serious look on his face.
There was a warmth that overtook your body, a shock. “But-“ you were cut off.
“Just let me get this out alright, G.I Joe? I know what it looks like; ‘Johnny Cage getting a boner over another guy’, it’s not ideal for my image. It’s not ideal for Hollywood if it got out that their poster boy for masculinity, heterosexuality and womanizing was…not necessarily that all along.” He swallowed deeply now, sitting down next to you and looking away.
“…I guess you’re more layered than I thought. A dick with shades of gray.” You say, trying to be somewhat lighthearted at the rather shocking truth.
Johnny chuckled softly playing with his hands, “I am a dick sometimes, that I don’t deny. But the truth is, most of what people see is a facade— As most publicity of actors in hollywood is. I was raised in to this industry to fit a certain mold and you do it long enough you sort of become that regardless…” he trailed off, now looking at you, “As corny as it is, I haven’t felt a more genuine attraction in years.”
You blush, taking a deep breath, “So, have you always liked guys? Or is this something…new?”
Johnny thinks deeply, “Always. I get with anyone really. I’m an actor, of course I’ve gotten with dudes.” He grins at you, a hopeful look in his eyes that urged you to elaborate on your own thoughts.
“I guess we finally found some type of common ground Hollywood, I’m pretty…fruity.” You cheese.
“You are..?” His brown eyes turned to a dark color suddenly, a sort of hungry expression in his face. “And you…fancy me also, right? I see it in your face…”
You take a deep breath, “Careful with the ego but yes.” You chuckle, “Think I was…quite mad that your little slip up on set didn’t turn me off.”
Suddenly you feel his hand on your knee, his thumb grazing over your pants, “Come on then stud…we both want it.” He says in a deep husky voice.
A shiver runs down you leg, “Isn’t it unprofessional to get involved with- with coworkers?”
He chuckles, “Oh sweetie, unprofessional is my middle name.”, he glided his hand up your thigh now, studying your every expression as he did.
“Good point…” you breathe faster, a warm feeling festering in your lower abdomen.
“Shhh…shhh.” He whispered, “Let me just…I’ve been harboring a boner all day because of you, we’re doing this…” he trailed off, his hand now reaches the button on your jeans undoing it.
“Wait I-“ you stand up in a slight panic, “There’s something I gotta say before we proceed…”
Johnny raised an eyebrow at you, confused and stands up with you, studying your face.
You start pacing around, “I’m trans. A trans guy. I just wanted to say something before we-“
Johnny chuckled softly, a relief on his face, “Sweetheart, I thought you were gonna tell me something horrific.” He touches his chest, “Don’t worry about it, stud.”
Your face turns amused, “Are- are you sure you know what I’m saying?”
Johnny approaches you now, rubbing the back of your neck with his warm hand, “You’re a trans man, I understand. But a man nonetheless.”
You grow goosebumps as he touches you, “That doesn’t bothe-“
“It doesn’t, This is Hollywood baby, you know how many different folks I’ve gotten down with? I got you.” He now made his hand trail down your chest, rubbing it passionately.
Your breath hitches and you become warm all over, his hand then trails down your abdomen to under pants, his hand reaching the waistline of your briefs. Pulling you close against his chest with his free hand, “Now, come here, be a good boy…” he kisses your lips for the first time firmly, all warm and wet.
You sync your lips with his and hum against his mouth, a groan leaving his throat the deeper he went. Sliding his hand in your briefs now, rubbing your crotch up and down making you moan against his mouth.
“Fuck…” you hiss, making a grin form on his lips.
Johnny then suddenly slips his hand out and starts undoing your pants, but before he pulls them down he looks in your eyes for approval. When he sees that you nod with a gulp he immediately pulls then down to your knees leaving you in your briefs, “Don’t worry, honey…” he whispers as he cups your jaw and kisses you on the cheek. He pulls back while gently guiding you to the couch, your back against it as he finishes pulling your pants off. There was a primal look in his eyes as he crawled between your legs and was on top of you, his chest laying against yours as he leaned in and kissed your neck desperately.
“Shit-“ your breath wavers, your skin hotter than the sun.
“Mmm- taste so good-“ you heard a groan leave the back of his throat, he then trailed his hands down to your hips and gripped them tightly. “You okay? You ready?” He looked in to your eyes for any hesitation— as cocky as he was you saw an undeniable softness in them now. A want to please, a want to do something for someone. The way his eyebrows quirked up slightly waiting for your answer, like a kid looking for some sort of validation. For someone to tell him yes and that he’s doing well. It made you reconsider everything you knew about him so far. Maybe he was just a man desperately trying to look for connection in an otherwise soulless industry that broke people. He wanted connection, he craved it— he wanted realness with someone.
You nod, rubbing his sides tenderly. He closed his eyes briefly at that, sighing deeply with a small smile on his lips. Then, he reached the hem of his shirt and pulled it over his shirt, immediately going to unbuckle his belt and his pants. At a point, you saw he was struggling to get them off, maybe it was nerves, maybe it was frustration, so you sat up sightly between his legs and reached up gently to his belt undoing it with ease. You later unbuttoned his pants as well, but giving him space to take off his pants on his own. Johnny stayed completely quiet when you did that small act for him, observing you with a want that grew tenfold but with a side of that softness he emitted no matter how hard he tried to hide it. Big brown eyes like chocolate itself.
You chuckle up at him, “What, Hollywood?”
The actor snapped out of it, shaking his head, sliding his pants down and throwing them to the floor with the other clothes. “God, I wanna fuck you.” He said bluntly, taking his boxers off now, his dick in full view and without any hesitation going back between your legs, touching the hem of your briefs with his fingertips and with a sudden halt.
“Johnny, it’s okay…” you look down at him with a shy yet flushed face.
Johnny nodded, a grin back on his face as he used both of his hands to slide your briefs off— your heart accelerating at how slow he was going. He finally slid them down your legs and immediately his vision went your throbbing pussy— like an inevitable reaction. The actor licked his lips as he positioned his thighs and hips accurately, leaning over you. He looked in to your eyes as you felt his burning cock hitting your inner thigh, teasing your entrance.
“Hnnngh-“ you groaned, almost desperate now as you moved your hips against him, a trickle of sweat down your temple.
Johnny let out a chuckle as he placed his finger below your chin to look at him, “I ain’t even in yet handsome…take a breather.”
“Don’t tell me what to do you ass.” You chuckle and playfully slap his shoulder.
Johnny smirked at your behavior, reaching down between his legs and grasping his length that was oozing with precum already. Positioned it at your core and carefully slid past your folds with his hips— carefully studying your face as he laid down over you, wrapping his arms around your shoulders.
“Ahh-“ you moaned softly, digging your fingers in to his lower back…trying to push him faster inside.
“Easy…easy….” He said with reassurance, his mouth agape as he finally made it all the way in making him grunt as he felt your walls clenching around his cock.
Johnny then took no time nuzzle in to your neck as he pulled his hips back slightly and then rammed in to you with no warning, making you let out an earth shattering groan against his ear. His arms locking around your waist tightly now as he held you against him like you were air itself and he’d die without it. There was a slight tremble to his body the more he rammed in to you.
“Jesus- fuck-“ your eyes grew a bit watery as you cursed, a coil already tightening in your lower abdomen while you tried to gain your breath.
“Oh- Wrong J name, baby-” He moaned with a bit humor beneath, peppering your neck and jawline with kisses as his buckling against your wet tight pussy became more frequent.
It was a cumulation of moans, groans, curses and senseless phrases between you both. You noticed his face was flushed, his cheeks pink as he pulled back a bit to study your face. “That feel good, sweetheart? That feel- Fuck-“ he whimpered, and it was the hottest thing you’ve ever seen. “Answer…” he continued, with a stern tone now.
Your chest heaved faster as he picked up his speed, “y- yes, god- so good-“, your hands gripping his lower back more as he pushed in and out of you.
“You’re gonna take it like a good boy- mmm, sweetheart-“ He groaned as he grabbed your hips now more harshly, you could tell he was close as well the way he became more direct and possessive. A constant harsh rhythm was formed by his hips, his dick reaching in to the deepest depths inside as he hit your g spot over and over with no mercy. With no breaks or signs of stopping, you whined loudly and shook— feeling your height coming.
A the coil inside you soon snapped, making you whimper as you reached your climax— coming all around his swollen length. Johnny leaned in to your neck, moaning against it as he came right after you— his warm come filling you up to the brim.
“Fuck- fuckkkkk-“ he groaned as he bit down on your neck and then licked alongside your jaw.
Wrapping your arms around his neck, you held him close as you tried to come down from the electricity that was currently running through you both. Johnny then reciprocated… sighing loudly, still inside you and wrapping his toned arms around your waist not caring how sticky and sweaty you both were against each other. He was content of sorts, a small smile playing on his lips, closing his eyes against your chest as he listened to your quick heart.
“You okay, Hollywood?” You rub his back tiredly.
Johnny chuckled lowly, “I feel like a million bucks, baby.” He leaned in and took a long sniff of your neck, “I love how smell-“
“That’s sweat, don’t patronize me-“ you laugh, your face red and full of embarrassment as you realized he hasn’t made any attempt of moving out of you.
“Oh shush— you have a musk. You might get me addicted, sweetheart.” He rubbed your sides now, his hair sticking in all directions.
You snort loudly now, rolling your eyes at his charming yet annoying behavior, “Okay fancy pants, can you pull out of me? I need to pee, I don’t want a UTI!”
His eyes widen at the realization and he carefully pulls out, “Oh- oh I apologize, stud. Next time I’ll remember-”, the actor says apologetically and stands up with a slight tiredness, carefully helping you up as you wince.
“You’re getting pegged next time that’s what.” You say humorously with a grin as you walked to the bathroom in your trailer and he walked behind you like a lost puppy.
“Oooh, challenge accepted, G.I Joe!”
