Stick figure hcs!!!

It’s been a while since I got on tumblr and I STILL haven't posted, like, anything about my hcs (except for old writing from before I switched accts & devices but SHUSH WE’RE NOT LOOKING AT THOSE), so here’s some stick-focused world building stuff (mostly the hollowheads)!

rambles. Very much rambles. Only some coherent rambles. This is your only warning.

WTF IS A GENDER

Most sticks are closer to drawings or computer programs than humans, and their perception of gender reflects this! A few sticks across the outernet might take on more traditionally human genders, but most sticks see gender and pronouns as a fluid extension of their personality and self-expression. How attached a stick is to their gender varies from each individual to the next. That being said, most stick figure “genders” are more like pronouns (or lack of them) + flavors. My flavor hcs for the sticks (or at least the ones I have a clear idea of) are: (EDIT - this was supposed to be gender flavors and it slowly flew away from that but it’s long enough that I don’t want to delete it. I am so sorry.)

Red- uses she/he, cat videos, brainrot, bright blue artificial dye, time-out corner, three yo-yos at once

Orange- uses xe/xem, Yippee, Power of Friendship, orange juice mixed with caffeine in a Monster Energy can, loaf of bread, Take On Me music video but make it cosmic horror

Yellow- uses she/they, raccoon covered in car grease holding a wrench, ridiculously thick goggles+gloves, tism, curious. A bit too curious. Why are you googling “how to get away with arson.”

Green- uses he/him, disaster bi, theater kid (only derogatory during the influencer arc), WHAT’S UP DEMONS, it’s ME, yaoiYA BOI, Siren by Kailee Morgue

Blue- uses all prns, witchcore, “my farmer gf- or as I like to call her, my crop top,” if their eyes open yk you’re fucked, LET HIM COOOKKKK, rhubarb & lemon, Willow from ToH, 🫵rehab

Ourple- uses he/they, moth, capitalism, product is dairy free (father has not returned with the milk yet), “hello, Zuko here,” you’re literally broke how do you have so many suits, anxiety, Cavetown, flower crowns, psychological warfare, “DO YOU EVER FEEL LIKE A PLASTIC BAG*ugly sobbing*”, birb. Birb is love. Birb is life. grisp the birb.

Chosen- uses he/him (anything but ‘it’), Shadow the Hedgehog, Falling in Reverse, Transcendental Cha Cha by Tom Cardy but make it the seven stages of grief, Sobbing on the Ground, *pac man noises*, traumacore, Alan gave me depression bc he knew otherwise I would beat him in hand-to-hand combat at 14, eats pizza crust-first, coffee as dark and bitter as my soul, cornered stray dog, 🇺🇸F🇺🇸R🇺🇸E🇺🇸E🇺🇸D🇺🇸O🇺🇸M🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🦅🦅🇺🇸🇺🇸🍔🍔🍔🍔🍟🍟🍔🦅🦅🇺🇸🇺🇸

Perhaps even multiple felonies.)

Vic- uses she/her (annoying local qpr always wearing the same gender), a woman politician???!!/pos, I’ve been near you for five whole minutes when are you going to murder me already, wet cat, tears, fluffy blankets, bones, space, I miss my wife, Tails. I miss her a lot.

MT- uses he/him, musty crusty Old Man, *eyebrows widen in surprise*, Flashbacks to The War, beefing with literal children, Dad Jokes, dust, depression

Did any of that make any sense? Admittedly, no. Am I saying that if you bit into Red, you would taste artificial blue dye and cat videos? Yes. Absolutely. For added fun, read these like Ao3 tags.

WTF ARE THE HOLLOWHEADS

In my hcs, the hollowheads are not siblings *coughcoughchodarkpropaganda*. However, Vic and Cho are practically twins. Why? A hollowhead’s physical appearance (since I usually draw them like Fleshy Human People) is mostly determined by their creator’s intentions when creating them. Alan can only see them in stick form, so their appearance being shaped by his intentions is kinda like how ppl have hcs of their ocs that are still a part of them even though they’re only in the creator’s head and haven’t been drawn yet. Vic and Cho are so similar bc they’re only in we’re both drawn as punching bags, even though Cho was a challenge and Vic was a training dummy. Sec didn’t actually have a comprehensible mortal form until xey found RGBY (just picture an Eldridge Horror exploring Alanspc when TSC was first introduced) bc Alan created xem without any intent to make xem alive or any idea of what xey’d be for who xey’d be, so TSC is Art. Literally. Xey embody art itself. That’s why xeir whole green glowy power is so effective, it’s not meant to be an offensive measure, but a large part of the outernet IS art, so xey have a very wide range of control (or xey would have, if it was what xe wanted when xe realized it. Xey find more purpose and joy in just existing with xeir friends. Xey connect and create. It’s xeir whole thing).

A hollowhead’s appearance is also heavily shaped by the attachments they make, most notably their secondary colors. Their second color reflects the deepest attachment they make. When a hollowhead is first created, before they make any attachments, their second color is clear. The hollowheads’ pupil/irises being different colors would also make them blind until they form an attachment (light passes through clear stuff instead of being absorbed by it), and by that logic, even while attached, most hollowheads are some form of colorblind. Vic has never not been blind while Dark is the only hollowhead with Rainbow Premium™️. Second’s secondary color is Green, Chosen’s is red, Dark’s is black, and Vic’s was white but faded mostly back to clear with hints of silver (after Misti’s death, Vic kinda self-isolated and got addicted to the VR memory tech). Attachments forming appearances is also the reason why Sec is the only one with a cursor ahoogie. Vic has a large, cursor-shaped scar on their back. It fades while Mitsi helps her heal, but starts growing again once she starts blaming the cursor for Mitsi’s death. Sometimes, during her really bad flashbacks, her old cursor scars will start to show up on her skin, even though she has a new body with no scars each time she’s drawn. Chosen still has all his cursor scars. They function like normal scars. During his terrorist years, Cho also gained a “halo” after seeing the one on the Angel of Death poster. With each attack, he’d gain a few small, jagged, triangular red arrows floating around his head. Dark thought they looked cool, but Chosen would sometimes feel like they were poking him. Cho would gain more arrows per attack as the destruction went on, having an overcrowded full-on halo by the time he stopped killing sticks. It hurts a lot, these days. Sometimes, when the sunlight hits it just right, the halo flashed purple. Although his other powers remained unaffected, Chosen’s fire started to burn a little redder after escaping the PC. After the Showdown, it sometimes burns his hands. Just a little, not so much that he can’t use it anymore. It just hurts when he does. The same thing happened with Dark’s fireballs. They got darker as time went on. Dark only has a few scars. The star-shaped one on his neck only gets deeper. When under the mission code’s influence, Dark’s secondary color reverts to clear and the whites of their eyes go black. With the virabands on, Dark’s pupil/irises turn red. During the Showdown, they had red pupils and black eyes. The virabands also project six small screens in front of their face which look like eyes with the same coloration. These projections act as a targeting system for the virabots, give quick stats on how many are functional, track the location of the other band if only one is being worn, and look really fucking cool (according to Dark).

a girl rushed forward from the crowd, holding a half-full red solo cup and wearing a halo headband that had slipped sideways. she looked at the angel, then at you.

“oh my god—yo, are you both okay?”

the angel looked at the tanned skin girl with her eyes wide open. “do i look okay?”

“relax, winslow. it’s just throw-up, not acid. go rinse off. you’re fine”

before winslow could argue, two boys came over—rafe and jj- you had obviously heard about them, just the hottest hockey players in campus-dressed like… you actually didn’t know. rafe had devil horns. jj like a… cowboy?. they grabbed winslow by the arms like she was a fallen soldier.

the cowboy looked at the angel’s friend, curiosity in his eyes “she yacked on the wings?”

the girl nodded “full exorcist moment”

oh great. the hot girl just thought about you like the exorcist girl. yay.

“damn. you need help getting her out?” rafe was the one talking now.

“nah. she’s with me now.” muttered the hot girl looking at you.

next thing you knew, the tanned girl’s arm was around your shoulder, guiding you through the crowd. you barely heard her over the music, but her voice felt steady. grounding.

she led you upstairs.

into a bathroom.

locked the door.

sat you down against the tub.

you started crying before you even meant to.

“i didn’t mean to she just— the lights were— i couldn’t breathe and then— I shouldn’t have come im not– I shouldn’t be here— I-” tears were lounging down your eyes, a trembling sob growing from your chest.

“hey, hey. it’s okay! deep breath, okay? it’s okay! you did not commit a felony.” the curly haired girl crouched beside you, her hand traveling up and down your spine in a soft comforting way.

“i think i ruined her costume” you muttered between sniffles.

“It’s okay- she said herself she should’ve thrown it a long time ago- she’ll probably say it a ‘sign from the universe’— you’re good”

the girl grabbed some tissues. wet a paper towel. started gently dabbing your face.

“you always cry this cute, or is it a halloween exclusive?”

you blinked at her, confusion on your eyes. “i just threw up on your friend, and now i’m sobbing. that’s not cute”

“it kind of is”

a soft laugh left your lips. “you’re nice. I–I don’t even know you. thanks”

the girl gave you one of the prettiest smiles you’d ever seen in your entire life. “i’m kiara. and trust me, you’ll want to remember me”

Tabitha <///3 he's . sorta similar to her in many ways, with more social grace, but (at least at the beginning) probably more inconsiderate than she is. So Tabitha is having a bad time about him slinking under her nose all the time, Sly doesn't appreciate butting into his business, and they haven't done bonding even once.

7. What was your mc’s relationship with Vivian?

I honestly do not know fuck I think they were kinda close - Vivian personally taught him to pick locks, and he wasn't exactly the most social person... Goddamit i honestly don't know . That part of his brain is locked to me . Yeah i think they were close. I know in the first run he said he made peace with her death before it came, but honestly fellas he is a habitual liar. I don't think that was true. I think Vivian was the only one who tolerated his insufferable ass

He has not commited any felonies, as far as I'm aware, but there's been breaches of privacy, technically? i think it counts as breaking and enetring but does it reallyyyy if noone noticed and you didn't do anything and then locked the doors back up? And now this isn't canon but in my first run he technically did do obstruction of justice.

Now this one's legal, but questionably moral - he's so good at finding legal loopholes to let rich bastards get away with bullshit

I am going to skip over the timeline in which both him and Bishop exist <///3 But! Basically it's not a great one - it's not bad, per se, but you wouldn't say he has any friends really. He just. The one friend-like relationship he did have from law school came crashing down terribly when the guy (Marty from law my beloved) realised just how much of a scumbag Sly is at work. Be More Chill: currently what I’m obsessed with at the moment. I get why people don’t like it but it’s just very charming to me okay 😭 I just think the characters are fun, the concept is interesting and the songs are just bangers. And maybe I slightly relate to it okay. The costumes are…questionable. But I think it’s super colorful which I love. My dream role is Christine. She is literally me.

Beetlejuice: this is what me and my oldest sister bonded over when she was always hiding in her room cause she was so introverted. We used to watch the animatics and we would sing “say my name”. So I only have good memories! We even planned to see it on Broadway except COVID happened abd it closed so :( but I love Beetlejuice and the songs!

Into The Woods: THIS IS WHAT GOT ME INTO MUSICALS. I remember I would rewatch the 2014 version constantly and sing the songs. Little red riding hood is my fav and always will be and “Your Fault” is just *chefs kiss* yes.

Sound of Music: I performed in this in 3rd grade at my older sisters high school. Now this was fun. I didn’t really get the concept of nazis so I was just like “why is Leisels boyfriend now evil :(“ so uh yeah- but really good musical!!

Hairspray: the songs are a bop and seaweed was my favorite.

Heathers: I’ve never watched the original movie but I have seen clips. Songs are great!! I always liked the costumes, even if they are stagnant throughout the whole show. My friend got into it so now I’m getting back into it. I remember I loved the animatics, even though I didn’t know what was going on half the time.

Dear Evan Hansen: ….okay. I remember I was super into the animatics. But then I learned the plot and was like: 😨 so

Hamilton: my oldest sister was super into it and I remember 6 year old me asked her “so what’s it about?” While we were driving to nyc and got a very long summary. I also used to watch many animatics and szinn was my fav. I do actually like it. I think it’s a bold concept that somehow worked and LMM did a great job at utilizing RAP and THE FOUNDING FATHERS.

Wicked: so I actually saw this on Broadway when I was 6 and I completely forgot everything. But I do remember when Glinda came down in those bubbles and I thought that was the coolest thing ever.

Theory Of Relativity: a modern musical that my school actually did a production of. Super fun! It’s a song cycle which I’m not super into but I liked the songs.

The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals: not Broadway but god DID I LOVE THIS. The characters are super interesting, I love the idea of a musical apocalypse. The fact every song was a “villain song” was so cool and the jokes killed me.

Nerdy Prudes Must Die: I love a good ol underdogs rise up story. Until the underdogs commit a felony <3 i feel like there would be no songs I would skip except “dirty girl” just cause…yeah. But I absolutely loved the characters! I thought Ruth and Richie deserved better. Grace is crazy but girl really was all, “It was an act of god!! 😇” NO IT WASNT.

Anyways. That’s everything. I love musicals. I think they’re very nice and I seriously wanna act in more

I have said this before and I'll keep saying this, I am in no position to speak into anything that happens behind closed doors, what we show online is, droplets in a very big bucket of what our lives truly are.

no that’s very true. tumblr has always been my safe space to get away from my offline problems and stuff but i internalise everything so tumblr kind of became like a journal of sorts. but i still keep things vague and don’t use names and rarely use genders because people are nosy and will create narratives because they’re bored. i did start to actually journal but chunky tore it up and i never got around to buying a new one 😓 and i forget that so many people read my stuff because i try to keep to myself as much as possible (i am trying to be a bit more social though) so people tend to think they know me better than they actually do based on what and how i post. it takes a LOT for me to actually open up to people whether online or off but i find that every time i do it ends up biting me in the ass so i think im done doing that 😂

ahh thank you for sticking up for me but honestly people seem to think im a pushover because of how i present myself and thats not really the case at all. but it is what it is and honestly can’t be helped because i cant control other people’s actions i can only control how i react to them~ how others treat me isn’t a reflection of me but the unhappiness they see in themselves and all i can do is hope they are able to find peace or at least work on their own shortcomings so they don’t feel the need to take it out on others ✨

and yes everyone has shortcomings but we’re only human. it’s not about being perfect because you’re right, no one is but no one is expected to be. it’s just about how can we be the best version of ourselves for ourselves and others. that’s what im striving for in all this self work i’ve been doing. this past year has pushed me to the edge and i know i didn’t handle a lot of it well and i just don’t want to be that person. i don’t enjoy stooping down to another person’s level because i know im better than that. i don’t really think it sets me apart from anyone else or that it puts me on some pedestal though and im really not trying to brag im just kind of rambling im sorry.

I basically just apologized because I was the og anon who mentioned the full leak the SH Sunday info came from was sus/heavily stated not confirmed from what I gathered online, but many people saw it, took it, ran with it outside of the full context and made it look more confirmed. It seems a lot has happened to your inbox since then so I hope it wasn't too much of a bother! I overthink these things...

honestly I have personally seen great reasonings both for and against the SH and AE for Sunday. I have faith that whatever they write for him will be great regardless, but I do hope it will be AE just to see him more x) I heard (I don't recall this being said in a stream but I may be wrong) that Shaoji's fave character from the cast IS Sunday, so I definitely think extra care will be given and regardless of where he ends up, the story will be satisfying.

And who knows... maybe he will be given the Firefly treatment where he gets a bunch of ads and additional screen time 👀 personally I'm anxiously awaiting his merch series. hyv never fails in that department (well, maybe they miss out on small seemingly better merch ideas but still lol). Like I bought some Aven and Robin merch and I am SO excited for future versions of those that will be Sunday themed (like light cone sand block). Plus his cute little nendo with Robin and oh boy I'm getting sidetracked lol

Personally I wasn't fully sold on the SH Sunday side until I saw a video on YouTube about it. All people talking about it really glossed over details and made it sound very circumstantial vs tailored to Sunday. I also do think that though Sunday has done some morally ambiguous things, I lowkey feel like he would still ?? can't think of the word but I imagine a version of Sunday almost clutching pearls because of the intensity of what the SH do sometimes. He viewed his ideals/methods as worth it, but idk if he'd feel that way about others' methods for similar ideals, if that makes sense. Either way, I'm excited for him to be a permanently relevant cast member. WE ARE IN THE FINAL STRETCH I CAN'T WAIT

just so you know that sicing your pokemon on someone counts as assault with a deadly weapon. since draytons pokemon hospitalized you and gave you what most might consider serious injuries, that means its a class B felony. if you report it to the police thats a minimum of 5 years incarceration (maximum 25 in prison) and like a 5000 dollar fine. considering drayton has absolutely commited many other crimes his prison sentance will likely be much longer if you can successfully report him for everything else.

the legal system is the best revenge bestie <3 fuck the cops but drayton is a menace and im counting down the days until he commits a mass murder on bba campus

...I don't. Really want to take legal action. Costs a lot of money and I don't think I'd win against a DOUBLE nepo baby.

And uhm. Since I don't attend BBA anymore and it happened off campus APPARENTLY they can't really do much about it. Which sucks. But I'm just not going to be able to do anything about it.

I hear you but my point is not that you can never talk about Trump's felony convictions. It's that you don't have to call him a felon in order to do it. This is not under any circumstances a defense of Trump or out of concern for his feelings. If I were to call him a felon he would literally never know. But there are people in my life who have (barely) survived incarceration would be deeply hurt if I were to turn around and start using pejorative language like that. There's a post with thousands of notes on this site that says something like "if a felon can be presidents then all felons should be able to vote." I think that post was made in good faith, and I agree with what it's trying to say, but it's a bit of an oxymoron because they're doing exactly what they're advocating against: defining a person by their criminal record. The majority of people who are incarcerated/criminal legal system involvement are not like Trump. They are people who are poor, or disabled, or queer, or Black or Brown and living in a system that is rigged against them. Most of them also did commit the acts they were convicted of, and should be held accountable. And they all deserve to be viewed as human beings as deserving of dignity and respect as you or me. All of these things can be true at the same time.

I don't direct this to you specifically because I don't think this is what you're saying, but "progressives" are very quick to exclude people with criminal records from their armchair advocacy and dismiss their pain and struggle just because they perceive these people as having done something "bad." And as someone trying to undo (or at least mitigate) the harm of the criminal legal system, it's really frustrating. People love to pick and choose who "deserves" sympathy not out of concern for those who are suffering but in order to follow trends (see: black squares on instagram). Offline, with people actually engaged in advocacy work, I rarely hear people use this language. And it's incredibly clear with the response I've gotten to one untagged post (again, not referring to you) that it's more about being self-righteous than actually trying to engage in a constructive dialogue.

Dee's personality isn't too complex to be completely fair!!! but i love her. She's like a chaotic british auntie who is extremely saccharine and sweet in a genuine way, but also has like, Committed Several Felonies and Crimes. This is most of all relevant in the slasher AU where she's explicitly more milf-y (as she is in all AUs Ava's legal guardian, in the normal settings she looks slightly younger bc she can but i might rectify and just milf her up in every setting). She's kind of cartoonish in her essence but I think it's fun. Just a fun lass that loves gambling, committing money laundering and armed robbery in banks and casinos. In her older years she "calms down" but it's more like she resorts to money laundering through front enterprises and companies and such. She has many "friends" she's in business with that help her upkeep this kind of activity. On the other hand, she's like genuinely like one of the nicest ladies you'll ever meet. Extremely protective of Ava (she was not beyond pulling guns on teachers who threatened to fail Ava in a class just because she was a "weird kid").

Also she is bisexual! She has however very specific tastes, she finds extremely attractive older men (her age and older) as well as butches (more around her age but she ain't picky). She tends to be a moocher towards either anyway, she loves being spoiled and maintained.
