What is Ayurveda?
Ayurveda is a centuries-old Indian medical practice that specializes in treating illness using natural remedies. The ayurvedic theory and practices are popular in India, with over 80% of the population using them.
The universe is made up of five elements according to Ayurveda: air, water, space, ether, and fire. These elements are known as the "Pancha Mahabhoota" in Ayurveda. The human body is composed of seven tissues, fluids, fat, connective tissue, blood, bones, and marrow.
Ayurveda practitioners use the five senses to diagnose. Ayurveda classifies the various constitutions into Tridoshas -
1.     The Vata dosha is dominated by the elements of air and space. 2.     Pitta dosha is characterized by the dominance of the fire element. 3.     The soil and water components predominate in the Kapha dosha.
The "dosha" (Pancha doshas) play a big role in one's physical appearance, dietary choices, digestion, and mental and emotional temperament.
How it got noticed and its evolution.
Throughout the centuries, Ayurvedic remedies have changed and evolved to suit the needs of patients. Herbal medicines, specific diets, meditation, yoga, massage, laxatives, enemas, and medical oils are examples of types of therapies that people use to treat their health problems.
Herbal compounds, minerals, and metals are commonly used in Indian medicine, known as Rasashastra.
Ayurveda utilizes the "five karmas" technique. Pancha karma therapy employs a variety of techniques to help the body rejuvenate, cleanse, and extend its life. The Pancha karma is made up of five actions that are used to cleanse the body. ·        SNEHAN ·        SHIRODHARA ·        SWEDHANA ·        BASTI ·        ABHYANGA ·        VIRECHAN ·        VAMAN
Ayurveda not only focuses on the treatment of diseases but also emphasizes the necessity of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and behavior. It aids us in fighting illnesses while preserving our original bodies, implying that ayurvedic medicine does not affect our bodies in any way.
The importance of Ayurveda is spreading all over the world. Almost everyone in the world is preferring traditional medications rather than allopathic medications.
An Ayurvedic medical practice that heals the body while leaving the rest of the body undisturbed, tries to improve the human lifestyle, relaxes the mind, and calms the spirit is urgently needed.
As a result, Ayurveda is primarily practiced in the Western world. Westerners are increasingly adopting and learning the practices of this ancient healing system because it not only treats diseases but also helps to maintain the body's natural equilibrium.

Cuts (Mighty Mutanimals)
Fifth drabble written while recovering, this time a Jagwar / Dreadmon one.
Hope you all enjoy!
*
H Drabbles V: Cuts.
By: Yawar.
Fandom: Mighty Mutanimals.
**
Space worms. Born out of a meteorite egg. Slimy bodies that disguise fangs and barbs sharp as steel. Miraculously, thankfully, not poisonous. Malignoid Worms, charmingly called. All were supposed to be dead. But it seemed at least two survived, no doubt late hatchers. So it was perhaps convenient, perhaps the opposite, that they happened to be on the path of Jagwar and Dreadmon when they were merely exploring the rainforest in search of a nearby water hole.
**
The Malignoids lay in pieces, their bodies already drying up. Soon they'd be buried. So that they'd be fully consumed by the earth itself.
The two mutants had come out mostly unscathed from the battle. Except for a flurry of cuts and slashes.
Finally on the water hole itself, they each removed his garments carefully.
Dreadmon shook his head: "Way too much red, assuming I look the way you do --and from the feel of things, we are."
Jagwar sighed as he waded into the fresh water. "Yes, well. Might as well wash up."
It did not sting nearly so much as Dreadmon would've thought. He did muse aloud: "Sometimes I wonder how clean this is."
Jagwar, who by then had waded in shoulder-deep, glanced back to say: "For humans, it'd probably be high risk. For us it should be fine. Immunne system surpassing both humans' and animals', just about." He swam closer to Dreadmon. "I can whip up something to help with the pain, though!"
"Doesn't really hurt that much..."
Nevertheless by the time they got out and lay on large boulders to sun themselves dry, Dreamon moved to rest on his right side, closer to Jagwar. Some of the cuts could still be seen up close. "I can think of a quicker way to nurse these," he said. "If you don't mind getting a bit I guess weird."
Jagwar grinned. "Never once minded 'weird'. What did you have in mind, friend?"
He had extended his hand for this. Dreadmon took it. Leaned in closer and licked the inside of Jagwar's elbow, the small laceration close to the gap. The taste was rather... funky.
Jagwar let out a small chuckle. "Ah, that! Well, then, come here!" He did a small leap, one of this feline traits. Returned the favor by mouthing Dreadmon's right shoulder, then licking the back.
There wasn't exactly pain from it, more like a spike similar to small electric shocks. The two looked at each other in the eye. Breathed in, out. Touched noses. Touched tongues. Held each other for a long, long time.
**
Later they were resting on the shore. Still holding each other, reluctant to pull apart and get dressed.
Until Jagwar said: "...that is one way to get your mind off of pain, certainly!"
"And probably as addictive as painkillers," said Dreadmon. "But so much better."

So my dumb ass will be adding alph.onso because I truly cannot wait a fucking week for T.UA 😔 and will be screaming about it. That and hel.lbo.y cause that's the agenda right now.
I've watched the leaked sparrow clip ( link for context ) multiple times just so I can see him. Genuinely I am a burden to society. ALSO lil ramble about him because I am not immunne to spar.row acade.my propeganda
Also note for future refrence - This is before T.UA S3 comes out. If certian things happen / details are revealed about him, I will obviously stop and probably delete this : )
Okay SO at first I was like " hmmm funny guy I think he'll be my favourite " because I prefer more jokey characters w/ senses of humour over stoic/serious ones, Like if you can make me laugh. You've already won my 60% of my heart. I thought it was just gonna be ones funny moments and I'd just be chilling. This was first when all the trailer stuff was coming out. He stood out to me almost immediately because of his personality n' shit I think. That and I thought his power was fun in theory, otherwise probably very not fun. So this was around 19th of May last month.
Over said time I just collecting slivers of content from him but I wasn't like. Fully hyperfocused on T.UA until rewatching it the past few days because I thought might as well, Because it's like about to happen. Then I get over excited and start going through it again and start having thoughts
Then he's is invading my thoughts and I'm just like " uh oh. " and I tried playing it off like ' haha it's just one of those small things again ' but nah. My fucking dumb ass is a little freak and accidentally fell in love again whoops I keep slipping. Who the fuck is mopping these halls cause they're doing a shit job. How am I NOT supposed to fall for him???
I wanna have a shitty pizza date with him and we watch bad movies together and make fun of them. And then idk sleep because it's late and we're tired and then it's like wow bed hugs. That's what I want. Hold his face in my hands and tell him he's pretty and loved or something cheesy like that.
New tag is long but its from a song that reminds me of him 😔😔

Chronic Illness
Things I still don’t see depcited very well, Chronic illness. There is still a kind of feast or famine when it comes to illness - like healthy people exerpeince illness. As a one time expereince.
An occasional cold/injury at an imopturtune time
A sudden death or the long comign death of an elder
A brush with a major illness that is usually overcame or occationally succumbed to
These are all incidents with a beginning and an end- the certainty of a complete story line- not the lingering messiness of life.
Pausing parenthetically here to say that this is a differnt than the depiction than disability; which is displayed as permenant and inesacapble prison.
The consistency is the key in the depiction. If you own a wheel chair you are stuck in it for good. The nuamce of having pain that flares up which is managebel one day and requires assitance the next is just far too much nuance for tv.
No chronic conditions are featured as they are intended to be
Definition of chronic
1a : continuing or occurring again and again for a long time
2a : always present or encountered
b : being such habitually
Be it physical ailment, mood disorder or a compromised organ or immunne system it must have a plot trigger - that’s not how chronic illness work
Sometimes you wake up depressed
although gaining an increase in spotlight depression is often punched up with a suicide attempt. A harsh reality to be sure, but the more often it presents as intrusive thoughts, inefficiencies in daily life, fatigue, these are all less sexy to be sure but a decent story teller can easy see the drama in being constantly late for things because you are too tired to get ready on time - hell intrusive thougths can be about as creative as they come. But instead of the big pay off of a break down, it’s the nuance of how a person constantly plauged by such a regualrly disruptive day to day reality.
the pain can change from day to day
On monday you can feel kind of crummy but doable as the pain is isolated to one area and you can just call it a day early. On Tuesday you can feel pretty good because Monday you called it in early. On Wednesday it can be absolute hell all over and you have to go from crutches to your wheelchair. Or Thursday you know you will need a assistance because you are going to unfamiliar terrain. Variation is a part of life and shouldn’t be seen as some narrative inconsistancy.
Failing to see that a signifiacnt percentage of the population feels vastly differnt from day to day is oversight to say the least. It leaves a bunch of us out, people with good days, bad days, and the worst days.

I know my current situation and my personal posts differs a lot to most people's on this website and I just want to say that I'm thankful for all the support I get and I'm glad you haven't given up on me, I know it's hard to be supportive and helpful or know what to say to someone who's physically ill the way I am, like... you can't magically make the pain or my exhaustion go away. Neither can I. It's all about waiting (each time I increase the dose of my medicine it takes like 4 weeks or so before/if I notice any difference) and acceptance. I'm currently just trying to take a day at the time because whenever I think of the future, I just get so sad and hopeless. Depression/dissociation is a symptom of the disease I have so I just have to keep that in mind. When the thyroid isn't working properly it affects the whole body hence why it feels like every inch of my body is sick and not functioning properly. Doesn't make it any less real but sometimes it feels like I worry too much.
Also my immune system isn't working properly so whenever I get sick, like the cold I got a few weeks ago, it knocks me out completely. Not sure if it's related to the thyroid disease to be honest but I'll find out soon cuz I'm getting that checked as well. It's one of the things that has brought be down a lot lately cause I've been suspecting for years that I have a bad immunne system. Little did I know there are actual diseases which might be responsible for that or that you can get really ill if you don't get treatment for it. My body is terrible at dealing with illnesses/infections of any kind and I never get a fever (when I say never, I mean never), which is something I've been dealing with since I was a kid and I can for the love of God not understand why my parents never reacted to it and had a doctor check it out. It went so far I got resistant/allergic to antibiotics for a long time. I don't want to blame my parents for this but I discussed this with my mum a while ago and she said that they were so busy with my brother so they didn't have time to even think about this. I just can't shake off the feeling that IF they just might have paid a little more attention to me then MAYBE this could've been prevented. The signs were so clear. It's pointless to ponder about it now though. Now it's all about finding out what's working and what's not and fix it. It takes time though and a lot of energy. It's not until you get this ill you realise how unfair and tricky the healthcare and the doctors are. Not to mention how discriminating they can be towards women. Once again though, it's all about patience and staying strong. I might spend this weekend in bed but it doesn't mean I've given up. It's important to keep that in mind.

7 Ayurvedic Tips to Drink Water that You Didn't Know!

7 Ayurvedic Tips to Drink Water that You Didn't Know!
Are you drinking 8 glasses of water every day? If not, then now would be a good time to start. While not having sufficient water has many side-effects, it is equally important that we are mindful of ‘how’ this water is consumed. The principles of Ayurveda suggest that the way you choose to drink water also affects your overall health. Interesting, isn’t it? Ancient Ayurveda has numerous theories regarding tips to drink water which have been followed over centuries.According to the book, The Complete Book of Ayurvedic Home Remedies by Vasant Lad, water is the manifestation of consciousness. Water is fluid, heavy, soft, vicious, cold, dense and cohesive. It brings molecules together. Water is a chemical energy, which means it is a universal chemical solvent. Water exists in the body as plasma, cytoplasm, serum, saliva, nasal secretion, cerebrospinal fluid, urine and sweat. It is therefore necessary for absorption of nutrition and to maintain life; without it, our cells cannot survive. Considering how essential water is to human life, here are some handy yet important Ayurvedic tips to drink water.
Ayurvedic Tips to Drink Water
1. Sit Down to Drink Water Rather than Standing
It is a good idea to always sit and drink water rather than standing. By standing and drinking, you disrupt the balance of fluids in the body and this may lead to a greater accumulation of fluids in the joints causing arthritis. By sitting and drinking, your muscles and nervous system is much more relaxed and helps the nerves to digest food and other fluids easily. Your kidneys also pace the filtration process while sitting.
By standing and drinking water, you disrupt the balance of fluids in the body
2. Avoid Chugging All the Water at Once
Avoid gulping down large volumes of water in a single breath, rather take smaller sip, swallow, breathe and repeat throughout the day. This holds true while having your meals too. According to Ayurvedic expert, Dr. Akhilesh Sharma, “there are three doshas in the body – vata, pitta and kapha, and how you consume water must be in accordance with these doshas. People with vata prakruti should drink water only one hour after eating a meal. This will help their food digest in a better way. People with pitta prakruti can have small sips during meals to start their digestion process early and people with kapha prakurti should have water before taking meals so that they feel full and not eat more. This will help them lose weight easily.”
Avoid gulping large volumes of water during meals and otherwise
3. Drink Room Temperature water, Warm is Even Better
Avoid ice chilled water that disturbs the ongoing process of digestion and puts off the fire. Cold water decreases the blood supply to various organs of the body further leading to constipation. Drinking tepid water can help in proper digestion and metabolism that promotes weight loss, relieves bloating and pain. According to Dr. Akhilesh, warm water helps in in controlling cholesterol levels and also keep the arteries clean.
Avoid drinking chilled water as it disrupts the process of digestion
4. Drink Only When You are Thirsty
Your body sends signals to you when it is in dire need of water. Ayurveda emphasizes on drinking water only when you feel thirsty. Every person has a different body, hence, drinking the same amount of water cannot be recommended to everybody. The body cannot absorb too much water intake; therefore it is imperative to know the thirst cues your body gives you. Measure your own drinking system without feeling too full.
Your  body sends signals when it is in dire need of water
5. Know the Indicators your Body Gives You When You are Thirsty
Your body gives you cues to let you know it needs water. One being, the color of urine, dark yellow color may indicate dehydration, while fairly clear and straw colored urine is a sign of a hydrated and satiated body. Dry chapped lips are one of the indicators of a dehydrated body. Notice these cues as these may turn into health problems.
Know the indicators that your body give you when it needs water
6. Drink Water First Thing in the Morning
Ayurveda suggests that is a healthy habit to drink water first thing in the morning, which is known as Ushapan. It helps get rid of many diseases in the body. Drinking water in the morning helps in flushing all the toxins in the body and cleanses your intestines.
Start drinking water first thing in the morning
7. Drink Water Stored in Silver and Copper Vessels
Ayurveda has always suggested drinking water stored in copper (tamba) and silver (chaandi) vessels. The water stored in these vessels has the ability to balance all three doshas in the body and it does by positively charging the water. Dr. Akhilesh agrees and points out that copper has numerous antioxidants and anti-bacterial properties that help boost the immunne system of the body. It also has anti-cancer properties. Water in the silver vessel has the power to remove free radicals from the body and gives a cooling effect in the intestines and smoothens the process of digestion.
The water stored in copper and silver vessels helps cure all doshas in your body
Important Tips for Drinking Water in Summer According to Dr. Keerti Gupta from Kirti Ayurvedic Hospital & Research Center, “Summer is called as the “Pitta Season” and afternoon time is Pitta Kaal, which is hottest time of the day, therefore, Ayurveda suggests that you should drink maximum water during this period so as to maintain the body temperature. You could also incorporate some small changes including adding Pitta pacifying ingredients in water that help maintain body heat. Some of the ingredients include lemon, mint, kokum, and fennel seeds, khaskhas and rose petals.
