i saw a post on here which is a paragraph explaining that peridot being aroace is canon and not a headcanon

but i don’t get it.. rebecca herself has literally drawn lapidot (implied atleast), and cartoon network has posted lapidot like a bagillion times

why are people stubborn about this? there’s so many signs that she isn’t aroace😭

sure, maybe she’s ace, which isn’t a big deal but when there is literal PROOF that lapidot is canon/heavily implied why are people denying it?

obviously it’s perfectly fine if her being aroace is your own headcanon

but just saying it’s canon that she’s aroace is a bit …

I turned Peridot into an actual cowgirl with Lapis as a horse girl. This is a horny Lapidot au

Peridot is a dairy cow and Lapis is a blue roan mustang.

Some world building Hybrids were made by the diamonds due to experimentation(human, animal, and semi gem for their weird color) and just kinda pulled a Qu and left. Hybrid milk is actually way more helpful for humans/hybrids to consume than standard cow milk. However for this AU, Peridot's job isn't to be a diary cow hell she barely knows that she is one when she was living at the barn, which is an animal Hybrid sanctuary in a weird way. She figures it out once a mustang Hybrid started living with her and things got "heated" quick. Even if she is a horse, Lapis does use the milk to help with her energy boosts and kind of puts her depression at ease, since she was formerly a wild hybrid.

i haaaaate lapidot. well hate is an exaggeration but i really dont like it. we get ONE canon aroace main character, peridot (implied through this scene in log date 7 15 2, fusion here is clearly an allegory for experimenting with romantic and sexual touching) but the fandom ignores that for the sake of shipping! i love lesbian ships as much as everyone else but steven universe is absolutely full of other canon, implied and fanon lesbian couples. it would be nice if they wouldnt erase peridots sexuality and let her exist outside of shipping as a proud aroace character!!
