[KHRe] Yanagi Rings - Item Info
Tumblr media
The Yanagi (Salice) rings are important artifacts that are held by the Boss of every generation and their Guardians in the Oniyanagi Family.
Oniyanagi has all eight of these rings in their possession, which are two Sky rings to be held by the Boss and six others to be held by the guardians with each of the remaining corresponding ring attributes.
There was originally supposed to be only one Yanagi Sky Ring, but since the family had twin bosses back then, the material was split to create two Yanagi Sky Rings. At some point, after one of the founders' death, the ring belonging to her went missing and was only found recently.
It can interchangeably be referred to as either "Yanagi" or "Salice", both meaning "Willow". Most members of the family currently refer to it as "Yanagi Rings", while some other people from the Mafia refer to it "Salice Rings".
Some Other Notes: ❖ Kurumi got the Sky Ring previously held by the 9th Generation Boss. While Kana got the Sky Ring that previously went missing. ❖ It's tradition to give the Yanagi Rings once a successor for a position (whether Boss or Guardian) has been officially appointed. ❖ Even at the start of Daily Life Arc, the twins and Yui already has these rings on them. The same goes for the others as well, except for the Sun Guardian position, which still had no officially appointed successor as of that time.

That's all for now! The last lore stuff I posted was like three months ago, so I wanted to post another one again. Credits and big thank you to @myrmyrtheorca for helping me to check if I'm using the correct Italian word for the rings 🥹🫶💜✨ (Sou & mine's combined braincells can like do 4-5 languages right now and it does not include Italian! 🤣)

I’ve been here for like 4 hours and its just a bust like theres no tiny miniscule details and theres no complex shading but i’ve still been here for 4 hours losing my mind over the exact curvature of the lines and its just a bust. How the hell do people draw full ass pictures and not lose it. Anyway im keeping it a secret teehee 🤭 but the guy I’m drawing is immensely attractive so i guess i’m doing something right.

live nine reaction:
Tumblr media
i---
I CALLED IT ADACHI THAT MOTHERFUCKER I FUCKING CALLED IT FROM THE START NEVER STOPPED DOUBTING HIM AND I WAS RIGHT TO
ahem
i haven't yet fought him in the dungeon yet so i feel like i dont have the full picture of his motives (beyond. incel/entitled/self-important ass without regard for other people -> which i pointed out somewhere as 'evidence' in this liveblog.) so i'm gonna maybe reserve final opinion-posting on him until after i defeat him. there's still like two more social link ranks to go so. we'll see.
also what happens if i go in after him alone? the game offered... another thing i have to try at some point.
anyways very pleased with myself for picking up on the clues laid down which i think is more of a testament to good writing honesty. and i guess paying attention to the game LMAO. but i really did just hit all the 'breakthroughs' they wanted me to like right before they were revealed.
i still intend to get all the bad endings (pushing in namatame, not realizing there's a different culprit, not ratting out adachi, going in after adachi alone(?)) after i finish the true ending (i do have a spoiler-free guide lol. with 50 hours in this game im not fucking up the real ending by mistake.) because im so curious. like they all seem like plausible decisions for Fob to maybe make (maybe) and just. so intrigued. i might watch a youtube video for all the dungeon bad endings too, although i don't think they'll tell us anything about adachi because too early to reveal that.
how are we going to defeat adachi? do we kill him? i have to guess not but like. how can we prove he killed two women by shoving them in a TV?
also deeply alarmed that the metaverse seems to like him???????? what do you meannnnnnn (again. inb4 we fight a god.)
NAMATAME. not the killer but like partial credit on that guess. im being yanked on this game's chain. um. sort of got his motivations though. feel bad for him. it makes sense what he did even if totally deranged but also. maybe not.
we still don't know why people showed up on the midnight channel for Namatame to see. like: was it because they were on real TV and so the public conscious became aware of them and then that reflected in the midnight channel? but people are on TV all the time! there gotta be more to it that just that!
malicious intent directed towards us? but from what i can tell it wasn't like adachi actually did anything to any of us directly besides dropping his little tidbits.
TEDDIE
him being a shadow that developed a ego makes perfect genius sense and i did not call it at all but it works. so good.
what human emotion was he born from??? something about a want for connection???
also like how it ties into the theme of creating the true self. accepting but also trying to grow into the person you want to be. top notch thematic writing.
for a bit there i was convinced he gave his life force for nanako... wuaghhhh
speaking of. that was an emotional trip. the epic lows (we almost killed a man!!!!) and highs (she came back to us!!!!!!!!). devastating sequence. killer voice acting and writing and even the use of the clunky animation. dojima just collapsing...
playing this game spoiler free is a ride. enjoying it a lot.
what do you mean i have work tomorrow.............. want to play more!!! i played like. 8 hours today!!! and its not enough!!!!

Why don't you like cripplepunk?? /genq
hooooo ok so im going to assume you dont follow us because we have spoken about this at least twenty times by now (mostly me because i used to call myself crippunk and then stopped after seeing that it was an even more toxic environment than the aro community is, which is an incredible feat, but that is a rant for another time)
heres a quick summary
cripplepunk, just like most other subgenres of punk, is a circlejerk-"fuck yall, im better"-brand of punk that 'physically disabled' gatekeepers latch onto, because i guess they have nothing better to be doing other than wasting everyones time. the concept was created with the idea that 'physically disabled people need their own resources' which, while a nice thought on the surface, comes at the expense of literally anyone they dont deem 'disabled enough' and they advocate for the separation of 'physical' and 'mental' disabilities. couple that with the fact that disability is not an easily defined state and it's easy to see why this doesn't work.
this isnt some flaw or mistake. crippunk was coined this way by design, and its creator admitted to that. its an inherently flawed way of thinking and only leads to more infighting. it was never meant to peacefully coexist with mentally or neurologically disabled people, it doesnt take into consideration someone who is disabled by their mental illness, and it inherently believes that if you arent in some physical external form of disability, you are not disabled enough or in this specific way. and despite what crippunks would like for you to believe, they do not advocate for you, do not care, and will only tell you to "make your own spaces" as if you dont belong in the conversation surrounding disability rights.
we do not believe there is any feasible nor functional difference in what disables you aside from what kinds of accommodations and treatment you need. we are all freaks under the eyes of capitalism. the brain is a part of the body, and if your brain is disabled, you are disabled. for that reason, we strongly oppose the concept of cripplepunk. we believe they will not get rights by whining about how theyre More Oppressed than people with mental/neurological disabilities.
if youd like more on why someone might dislike crippunk or not feel included by it, theres a few movements in the wake of it, such as our personal favorite unitypunk. and if you want better explanations from us: heres the unitypunk tag on our blog, scroll through it.
and INB4 they find this post and throw a temper tantrum like they do with everything else: yes, we are crippled. a quick scroll of this blog should tell you as much. lmao. lol, even.

One of the biggest gripes I have with some furry art is that for whatever reason lately I've been seeing more characters that are meant to be bears (the animal) drawn skinny. Maybe it's that I'm so accustomed to body-positive furry art here, maybe it's the algorithms on other sites thinking that skinny or buff characters is what furries must all like, maybe it's the former while personally managing to miss out on that kind of stuff on this site but regardless of reason it rubs me the wrong way. The #1 trait associated with bears in a lot of people's minds is often that they're big and 'friend shaped' (fat) and it's like idk. Weird to me when that top trait is ignored. Half the time when I see bear characters drawn skinny I mistake them for dogs at first glance because their literal big defining trait just isn't there. It's like drawing an elephant character without a trunk or an axolotl without external gills, it reads as uncanny to me!
Inb4 'artists can draw what they want': yeah no shit, I know that and this isn't meant to shit on any specific person's art OR generally discourage furry artists from drawing characters how they want. This is simply something I've observed and I think is worth analyzing/discussing, in part because it does say a lot about the pervasiveness of fatphobia. Why is it that when translating defining animal traits to anthro characters, fatness is something some see as worthy of ignoring? Maybe it's explicit fatphobia, maybe it's implicit biases that have yet to be realized. Or maybe it's not knowing how to draw fat characters, in which case you'll never get better at drawing them unless you try. Regardless of reason, it definitely speaks to the power that sociopolitical notions of fatness have in a lot of modern culture, even within spaces by and for people who are different from the norm.
Also inb4 'but isn't making a character skinny just adding a trait': idgaf what EXTRA wild features people give their furry characters. Wings, crazy colors, mixes of features that would never be found in nature, I'm all for it, you go add arms and legs to armless and legless species too. Adding stuff is cool. Conversely though, making a character skinny from a species that is not that IS removing a trait of that species, not adding something extra. Again, consider the examples of the trunkless elephant and gillless axolotl. It just looks weird to remove a core part of what helps define a species' look. Also, much love to the people who draw their characters fat regardless of species, you do so much for furries and furry art enjoyers. <3

So idk if you see the tweet but Warren Graff clarify a HUGE misinformation and i appreciate this clarification.
Seems like people are realizing their mistakes and Apologies (despite the fact it's took them a whole decade and years for them to realise that)
Oh yeah, I saw!
Tumblr media
Inb4 this fandom, in their total lack of self-awareness, try to pretend that they "knew that all along" and "were always just looking out for dear old Pontaff"... as if they didn't spend the past decade acting like it didn't click with them when Graff's coworker was put through the wringer by those very people:

also now and again i idly think about like, having or raising kids, along the lines of "if i was a parent id want to raise my kid this way, teach them this, do this w them" etc, right. and to be clear i decided i never wanted kids really really early on, like since i was a fairly young kid myself i always said i never would have kids and i never budged on that. before hysterectomy i was asked if i wanted to freeze my eggs first and i didnt even think about it. i remember that conversation because it was literally a couple minutes call w my gender therapist on the phone while on the subway, and when he asked me that i immediately went "no, i dont need that". but now and then ill ponder it, right, and sometimes i start thinking "what if i made a mistake? what if someday in the future i do want a kid, and theres no way for me to get one?" (inb4 'you could adopt': first adoption is a hard process and id get screened out v early due to my mental illness history, second im not competent to describe all the issues there are w the system of adoption but look up the opinions of anti-adoption adoptees as to why "just adopt!" is not the response to childlessness). anyway i get all in my head about it for a sec and start thinking all this "what if?" shit.. and then like. i literally just remember how it was when i used to parent my little sister, and how demanding and hard that could be, and how stressful it is, and how i often couldnt cope well bc i wasnt able to give her my undivided attention as much as she required bc of adhd, and all the nightmares ive had about her or some other kid in my charge having horrible things happen to them because of me, and how when my roomie and i had a cat and i was sometimes left alone w her for like a week i would get so horribly stressed and anxious bc i was sure i wasnt spending enough time w the cat and she was suffering because of me and i felt so unwell about it (cat was fine im just insane.) and i remember oh! yeah! i could not possibly take care of a child of my own! i would definitely completely crumble under the weight of that responsibility and i would never be able to give that child enough time, attention and affection bc of all my mental and neurological shit! so i definitely will not be having kids lol.
anyway pointless post etc just thinking rn. its funny how often i wonder "do i regret (x) major decision i made about my life?" and in almost all cases i actually knew myself enough in the past to make the right decision. the one exception to that is my knuckle tattoos, not bc i dont wanna have knuckle tattoos but bc i shouldve picked different ones lol!

On the left is a symbol of the god of healing Asclepius in Greek mythology.
The symbol on the right is the Caduceus and is the symbol of Hermes, the messenger of the gods as well as the god of commerce (among many other things).
I'm starting to think it isn't a mistake and it isn't an irony that many Hospitals sport the Caduceus and not the Rod of Asclepius, because hospitals are no longer places of healing but places to make hundreds of thousands of dollars off people in desperate need, not to mention how they also experiment on patients with trial drugs (lying to them saying some shit like "a new drug that shows promising results, just sign here to take it"). Doctors are not healers, they are merchants profiting off the disease and injuries of their fellow man.
Some places have the Rod of Asclepius (so inb4 some douche posts that) but more often than not you see the sign of commerce and markets rather than the one of healing.

inb4 ‘it’s just the internet, it’s all fake’: just call me a slur and get back to your white power fantasy. if you type up a novel about why it’s totally fine that bespoke written racism is your ‘only escape from real life’ and that anyone who has a problem with it needs to ‘touch grass’ actually idc im not reading it lmaoo // but like what bespoke racism are you even talking about? you wrote this whole essay about providing resources and educating people who don't know they're being racist but who are we even talking about? last i checked this convo was about a vaguepost on writing mythological creatures on a supernatural site without being completely totally flawlessly accurate about something and that was all. and you're here saying it's a white power fantasy bc someone asked a question about whether this was even racist? you're arguing a good point in theory but for all the wrong reasons, because i don't actually think anything racist or prejudiced or microaggressive even happened here, and certainly nobody was respectfully reaching out to resource and educate anybody about their potential mistakes, were they?

As Kevin and Tom are walking to random places he's going to do his errands (like the mall, the convenience store, the post office, etc)—Tom just keeps nearly running off so much to the point where Kevin's pretty worried she'll injure herself again. So at some point he just straight up starts holding her hand so she won't run off anymore, or he starts clinging to her arm and dragging her places basically. /j

Yes, I am thoroughly disturbed. Now, like op, I am not sharing their name so they don’t get harassed but if you would like the @ of this account to block, dm me and do not spread it around.
This person is not punk if they are shitting on punk subcultures, which have existed since punk was made, and using aro ppl as a talking point of what not to be. Not to mention the creator (who is dead btw) did not have any guidelines on what counts as disabled as long as you are physically disabled in some way, and actually allows for intersectionality, like most punk subcultures (and even punk as a whole) does.
Ok. So. For the first time I have encountered someone who has put “cripplepunk” (quotes included!!) in their bio. And I’m sitting here like.
Tumblr media
You are mad… that I want rights? Like… cripplepunk is literally just applying the punk mindset / social conventions to disability activism.
You do not like.. disability activism?
You don’t want cripples to talk to you???
