(For context I have never been on twitter nor have I seen pacific rim, nor have I been active on any other social media pre tumblr)

I asked for you to message me for the opportunity to have a productive conversation between ourselves, which is something I'm actually open to. Tumblr has no group message function and I have the common decency not to share your url. Doing this through the ask box is clunky and slow, I was hoping to have an actual conversation with each other and at least get to a point where we can respect each other's opinions. Also, seeing your account would have made it possible for me to avoid those incorrect and hasty assumptions about you. I'm open to hearing your opinions, really, but only if you can give me the proper space to defend mine. I didn't post those asks you sent not because they "reveal" how much of a moron I am (I do that perfectly well myself, thank you), but because I could address them much better in direct communication and not via ask box carrier pigeon. I really hope you do respond because chances are we're going to end up in each other's orbit very frequently. If I was scared and going to have my friends gang up on you, I would've posted the asks publicly and left the comments and reblogs open for them to say whatever. If we message it's just the both of us free to say whatever we want. So please just swallow your pride and give me an actual chance to explain myself.
