imagine wearing your taller f/o’s clothes. They’re a little big on you but you love wearing them, it brings you a lot comfort.

your f/o pulls you into their lap and lets you silently cry onto their chest. They take a breath before they start to talk,

“i know this year hasn’t been kind to you and youre probably terrified of what the future will bring.”

they slowly pet your head as they feel you sink deeper into their arms,

“and im not here to tell you to not feel scared.”

they lift your head up by your chin so that youre looking at them. They then wipe your tears away from your face.

“but i promise you that even if the worse does come, it will get better. And no matter what happens…”

they tenderly cup your cheeks and place a gentle kiss on your forehead, before looking down at you with loving eyes,

“i will always be there for you.”

really in love with idea of laying your head on your f/o’s lap while they comfortingly pet your head

your f/o comforting you when your feeling severely anxious (for any type of f/o)

your f/o hears the sound of the door to your bedroom opening and turns around to see you standing in front of your door with a tired, anxious look on your face.

“hey, honey,” your f/o slightly shifts their body on the couch to get a better look at you, a concerned look plastered on their face, “what’s wrong? Did you have a bad dream?”

you simply shake your head and walk over to the couch, plopping down right next to your f/o and leaning your head on their shoulder. Your f/o let out a soft coo before wrapping an arm around your body and pulling you closer to them, “you’re feeling anxious and it’s keeping you from falling asleep, huh?”

you nod your head and let out a soft “mhm”. Your f/o sighs and rubs their hand along your side as a way to comfort you.

“yeah. I know honey, you’ve been feeling more and more anxious haven’t you? Poor thing,” Your f/o places another kiss onto your head.

you let out a tired hum and lean into your f/o’s touch. Neither you nor your f/o say anything, you just sit with each other on the couch mindlessly watching TV as your f/o occasionally kisses you on the head and rubs your side.

after a few minutes, you finally manage to fall asleep. Your f/o looks at you with pure love and adoration, before carefully placing you on their lap and wrapping a blanket around them and you. They then slowly rub their hand up and down your back as they slow slowly fall asleep too, with you safely in their arms as the TV drones away in the background.

you're still anxious, you’re still worried about the future, but your f/o’s going to make damn sure that they’re at least always there for you.

your f/o takes care of you after a long day

your f/o watched you open the door and shut it behind you, lazily throwing your bags down on the floor before plopping onto the couch, your head leaning back.

your f/o chuckled before walking over to the couch and sitting next to you, placing their arm around your shoulders, pulling you closer to them.

“Rough day?” Is all they ask. It’s not like they needed to though. It was quite obvious to them today was long and tiring for you. That feeling was then solidified by you incomprehensibly mumbling something before closing your eyes. Your f/o sadly smiled.

“I know, honey…” your f/o sighed. They then squeezed your shoulders, making sure you didn’t fall asleep on them, “hey. Don’t worry. I’ll take care of you for the rest of the night, promise.”

and they kept to that promise; if you needed help bathing or changing into more comfortable clothes, they were there to help you. Once it was dinner time, your f/o whipped up your favorite food and helped feed you if need be. After dinner, your f/o carried (or just led you if they can’t) you back to your bedroom and gently set you down in your bed, pulling the covers over you.

“Goodnight, (y/n),” your f/o whispered before kissing you on the forehead. But before they could leave you reached out and grabbed their hand. You didn’t say anything but they could tell you wanted them to stay with you.

and so they did. With a loving huff, they laid under the covers with you, cuddling you as you fell asleep.

I’ve seen people say they don’t wanna share their f/o’s, which is fine and dandy! Nothing wrong with that. But I’m curious, are there any f/o’s out there that probably wouldn’t want to share the selfshipper?

I don’t think any of my f/o’s would fight for who has me but I do think that if they were all in the same room together and they all knew they each had a relationship with me there would be glorious glorious tension lol

tbh sometimes I feel like I don’t make my selfship “seriously” enough I guess?

I don’t really have any strong particular feelings on whether or not I’m nonsharing. I don’t consider myself nonsharing, but that mostly just because I don’t have any sort of strong reactions to seeing “doubles” I think they’re called. At most I just get kind of annoyed, but that’s really it

I don’t have anything to ramble about when it comes to my f/os. I don’t really have a ton of lore for my self inserts. And even for the self inserts that do have a story I feel way too anxious to disclose anything about them. That’s not to say I don’t love my f/os, it’s just more to say I don’t really have much to ramble about them if that makes sense

idk, sometimes I just feel guilty for considering myself a selfshipper because I just don’t really feel like I’m taking it as seriously as I should. Which I know I shouldn’t, I know objectively selfshipping is not a competition, but yknow

imagine your parental f/o comforting you for whatever reason. They’re sitting right next to you and petting your head, whispering that they’re “right here” and that “it’s gonna be ok, no one’s gonna hurt you” into your ear, all while occasionally kissing you on your head.

I’m usually not nonsharing* but whenever I stumble across character x oc fanart/fanfics in character x reader tags I feel a primal rage within me I have never felt before

Imagine your f/o listening to you talk about your new hyperfixation. They look at you with soft smile as you ramble on about it. The way your face lights up whenever you talk about your hyperfixation makes them feel a happiness they’ve never felt with anyone else. If you ever feel like you’re annoying them they’ll quickly shut that down, telling you that they love hearing you talk about what you love.

And if you ask them to your f/o will take no time getting you anything that pertains to your hyperfixation, figures, games, books, etc. You’re happiness is their happiness.
