Honestly it's so funny that we know Essek's intelligence score. We have so little else about his stats, but we do have his exact intelligence score pinned, cuz he happened to get roped into being thrown into one of if not the only scenario in the entire dang game where that exact number is relevant. Otherwise we could've gone on forever with, "Well, as an NPC wizard he sure does have a high int mod."

But no, now we know that he's the smartest boi because he happened to get dragged into the Astral Sea with another wizard with whom he was engaged in flirtatious competition. 😌

I get that calling white lotus lbh a sticky little 'sheep' is a canon translation and stuck in the fandom now anyway, but I do feel the intended spirit of the original word wasn't the sheeple/dumb herd animal that's more common in the western world, but instead something actually conveying sweetness, innocence, purity and youth - lamb.

Out of the 4 Avantris lizard men, we have 2 that have fuckin Voodoo shadow magic (both of which, coincidentally, are played by Richie—Mr ‘lizardfolk warlock that I’m pretty certain work under the same being’), and 2 that have fire magic (Taishen—who is coincidentally played by Mace and ends up acting like a walking lighter anyway—and Sarnax)

And also, course, Sarnax and Kremy with their red Yonan boyfriends who have a tendency to run hot because of their respective heritages

wxs and n25 have really interesting story and dynamic parallels but no one seems to talk about it since its 1/2 3/4 and that means no yaoi

1 who gets too into their work -- to the detriment of their health -- and attaches their value to how close they are to their ultimate goal in life (which truly began because of an ailing family member) who for one reason or another takes it upon themselves to "save" something deeply important to 2's well-being and sense of self, something they are in danger of losing due to a struggle with their family.

3 who struggles with confidence in their main talent/passion and feels like they're stuck because of preexisting insecurity made worse by events we see only in flashback and how they're being supported by 4 who has issues trying to move on from the past and step into the future + fights w the existential dread of how their fun will end one day but is actually the first to try and break apart from the rest..

Honestly my one biggest fear about s5 isn't Byler not being canon (even tho it's a close #2), it's all of Mike's "issues" being centered around his internalized homophobia.

Do I believe it's real? Yes, absolutely. Do I believe it contributes to how he acts/thinks? Yes, absolutely. Do I believe it's great representation? No doubt about it!

However, I do not believe it is the one and only cause for the things we see him do and the actions he chooses to take.

His character is much deeper than just int. homophobia. He has massive amounts of PTSD, survivor's guilt, abandonment issues, depression, family issues, probably anxiety, and I'm most likely missing even more things.

I'm just terrified that they're going to blame all of his actions on this one single part of his character, even though he is much more than that.

Upgrading the 'polaroid magnet' idea of 2019 for 2023's Xmas card trades, these ones are made from wood and use actual magnets! Luxurious! |D All the poses are also referenced from actual party photos i've taken of other people, to add to the candid vibe lol.

The dreamcatcher is kind of a gag gift (yes the craft project i reffed here) for some friends. Since they don't have the ability to fight their nightmares i have offered to [try and] do it for them XD

Made from: Wooden craft polaroid (plus some backing MDF pieces), magnet, misc decorating items (glitter, wooden shapes, gel pens, paint etc). The dreamcatcher is just a storebought one with laminated paper mes wired to it
