Okay I’m. Usually. Usually I don’t enjoy human aus and usually I hate drawing transformers as humans because it feels so wrong to my brain.
But then I stumbled upon Dream of something more by Gemma_Inkyboots and aaauuuhh fuck. Here’s the pile of the most vague and unspecific and undetailed fanart. Because I’m being torn between “I can’t drawing human designs” and “If don’t draw something for this fic I die”.

sometimes the trans-specific rook dialogue is nice but sometimes it's just hilarious. davrin was flirting and rook was given an option to tell him about it but he went "are you sure you're okay with .........what i am..." and davrin replied "? Well. what are you." which is probably not the ideal response to that situation but you really can't blame him for thinking rook was about to reveal he was a werewolf or something.

Vox can understand Velvette just fine. They don't necessarily need to get along all the time, but they have a mutually beneficial contract that guarantees her support in the most efficient way possible, just how they both like it, short and strict and to the point. Vox does not understand Valentino. It drives him unimaginably, disgustingly insane. He knows how to handle him, make no mistake. Valentino is a never-ending powerhouse that wrangles out content from his employees like there's no tomorrow. He's proven himself to be Vox's most lucrative investment yet. He is resourceful, well-connected and most importantly predictable enough to rein in. Because he listens to you, because he needs you.
He is also, undeniably, out of his goddamn mind. Yet you've already invested too much in the corporate empire you've built together and there is no point turning back now that you have him so close to your side. It's OK however! He couldn't possibly be stupid enough to throw away the best partnership deal he's ever had just for the sake of something petty cause -oh, wait - he genuinely might just be that stupid and you never would've guessed because he's so cocksure of his bullshit that 80% of the time it ends up working in his favor anyway.
Fuck his life indeed. The kicker for this of course is that Valentino, genuinely does believe he has struck gold with Vox. Valentino is a clingy, possessive, immature, perverted, sadistic, egotistical man-child with severe rage issues and poor impulse control. No he is not aware of this at all. No he does not know why nobody is able to tolerate him and why every single person he gets close to hates his guts with every inch of their burning rotting souls. All he knows is that hell has now given him a flat faced prince in shining liquid crystal armour, riding on a cash filled horse with promises of power and luxury, who's practically handing him success on a silver platter. Doesn't mean that Val trusts him, doesn't mean he doesn't enjoy seeing him lose his shit. But at the end of the day vox has his back, and as long as Val keeps calling for him, he'll eventually turn up and make everything better. Cause hey if Vox hasn't left him yet for this long he must be doing something right. Right?

Okay but like House and Foreman both believe, for different reasons, that their relationships with their co-workers will dissolve if that "co-worker" part is ever to end. House because he doesn't think that anyone wants to be around or with him if there's no structural obligation or external activity. Foreman because he doesn't see any reason to or recognize those relationships as significant outside of their boxes.
Like, they both think the only reason they go for karaoke or whatever is because they're coworkers. But Foreman is the one who wants to maintain that distance while House enforces it because he thinks it's inevitable.

For the character ask meme:
Marvel vs Capom Megaman!
Tumblr media
Technically that would just be Classic Mega Man, so we'll go with him!
Send Me a Character
And I will tell you my:
First impression I know who Mega Man was and that there were different ones (I just wasn't sure how or if they were necessarily connected at first, so I drew him and Hub interchangeably but confusedly). I think Rock is cute, but his design was too simple for my tastes.
Something about Smash's additional details clicked so well to me. (MM11 is still not quite there for some reason, so I don't use it.)
Impression now I've always had an interest in robot characters, and after learning more about him, I was somehow able to explore so much with that concept and just Mega Man's character in general. Unsurprisingly, working with him reminded me a lot of Astro Boy and the situations he faces with the innocent mindset of a child and the body of a robot, just not as heavy (I won't talk about the Archie Comics, I stopped following after a while for reasons).
The thing about working with child characters is that they aren't always going to act like older characters, in their words and their emotional responses. On top of that, drawing them is particular too-- their faces, the things they do with their hands, etc.
It leaves a lot to think about, but the thoughts are very welcomed. Kinda like a "put yourself in their shoes" sorta exercise.
So besides the fact that I grew to really love the Mega Man series, with its fun characters and robot designs, I really appreciate the "pureness" of Rock's character. I know he's also a hero with a strong sense of justice, but in the end he's also just a child. A robot child.
Even when compared to the other Mega Mans, Rock is the simplest, purest form of the non-human. His "humanness", while present, differs from X and his complexities despite them both being totally mechanical. Hence why I chose that word "pure".
Though Rock may appear simple, it turns out it's with much meaning. At least to me it does. I have no idea if these words make sense.
Favorite moment This is a Smash thing, but watching the lights of Mega Man's eyes during his fighter reveal is always gonna be so cool.
Idea for a story I made two (ancient) comics that touch on the uncomfortable dynamic between Rock and Dark Pit. I never really clarified it, because I'm still not sure, but Dark Pit's harsh attitude toward Rock were meant to cover for something else.
It's been so long, I don't know if I'll ever return to it. But there's definitely a lot of loose ends I've still left flying around. (Y'know... Like the one with Beck.)
Unpopular opinion I don't really like Rock's MM7/MM8-type proportions. He looks way too tall and way too lanky.
Favorite relationship *Coughs loudly in Captain N*
Favorite headcanon The little depictions that remind you Rock is originally (and still is) a helper robot are very sweet to see.

i usually think of myself as almost entirely incapable of being sincerely attracted to celebrities, rather than experiencing a sort of general intellectual appreciation which i just describe as attraction for convenience. but that's not actually true. it's just that the only celebrities i find actively, acutely hot are matt bomer and conrad ricamora, and i forget about this unless you actually put a picture of them in front of me
you'll note that these are, like, the two most incredibly beautiful gay men in the public sphere today, making me actually almost indescribably normal

So far, most if not all of the drawings I've posted could broadly be categorized under one of these two art styles. They both allow me to ignore precise details (AS1's lines are too thick and AS2's lines are too rough) and thus pump out drawings quicker.
AS1 has a very straightforward drawing process; the lines are thick enough to where a lot of the details are only implied or lost entirely, and the colors/shadows have to do a lot to bring the image together (try to imagine what the neck area in the sample would look like without colors). It's great for animating, or when I just want a clean-looking drawing with minimal effort lol
AS2 is much rougher all-around; generally speaking I don't use a color pallette, I don't try to stay in the lines, and sometimes I don't even use the same brush throughout. My detailing skills are abysmal, but the roughness of this style lets me put rough details in that don't stick out or otherwise ruin the whole drawing. This style lends itself to experimentation and, beyond being messy, doesn't even look that bad?
Occasionally I may branch out and try other styles (namely pixel art), but lately I've switched between artstyles in the interest of what's most convenient for me and it's made indulging in my favorite hobby just a bit easier :>
Work within your strengths, folks
