The humans! I have so much fun drawing them, they’re all so cute together :)

(A drawing of three characters in a sunny field. Wally, a tall thin trans girl wearing bohemian late 60’s style clothes, with light skin, shoulder length red hair, buggy antennae, and thick red cat-eye glasses. Johnny, who’s tall and fit, wearing a preppy yellow sweater vest covered in ink spots, and has light ruddy skin, neat brown hair, and more alien antennae. Orange, a short fat trans man with the same curly orange hair and buggy antennae as his sister, Wally. He also wears a bright blue mod dress.

They’re drawn in three different pairs. Wally and Johnny walking along as she gushes about something and he smiles into the distance. Johnny and Orange dancing a fast, high energy dance. Orange, trying on Wally’s jacket as she holds his shoulder from behind.)

There are so many things I could (and will) say about them, but just to introduce you for now: they’re 17-18 year old humans living in a small New England city in the 60s. Johnny and Wally are childhood friends, Wally and Orange are siblings, and Orange and Johnny are dating. At least two of them are hanging out at all times and so far, only one of them has figured out they’re queer.

*I recently became aware of a whole bunch of obscure punctuation marks that I never knew existed.  This goes to show, you can learn something new every day if ya poke around in various nooks and crannies in the world.  As a result of this literary discovery, I’ve created a series of images that honor these obscure punctuation marks. I shall periodically post some of these images as a celebration of stuff I never knew before.  Not sure I’ll ever actually use these punctuation marks in my day to day comings and goings, but it’s nice to know they’re around just in case I need ‘em.  Plus, they look kinda fancy! Without further ado, may I present the:

“Interrobang”

This is perhaps one of the more useful obscure punctuation marks in the series. It can be used to express surprise and unbelief simultaneously. If you want to ask a question excitedly, use the interrobang instead of “?!” at the end of a sentence.
