It was rare for the woman to dream at all, usually passing out from fatigue. When she did dream though...it would be nightmares, well, a reoccuring one.

“That’s personal/ that’s private” as a way to turn down unwanted questions.

It’s time to practice saying, “That’s private” to invasive questions framed as innocent curiosity, yes EVEN TO YOUR FRIENDS! If you feel like not answering something personal (or even any question): that’s personal (bonus points if it’s not really an invasive question but you still don’t want to answer it for some reason. Makes it hella funny to stand your ground on “why do you like mountain bikes to hybrid bikes: that’s personal”. Like how unhinged, but what are they gonna do? FORCE you to answer an innocent/non-important question? Lol) and SAY NOTHING ELSE.

There is such a taboo in our society for being nosy and crossing the “that’s a really personal question” that if you use this phrase right you can just. shut down unwanted questions. Ive gone for years believing that I had to be open and honest with every face that asks a question but you DONT NEED TO!! It’s so cool!

Question about sexual history: sorry, that’s private

Questions about sexuality: that’s personal

Where do you live?: that’s private

What doctor do you go to?: that’s private.

Why do you like this kind of movie?: that’s personal

What are your spiritual beliefs?: that’s personal

Why do you use amulets so much instead of writing new spells every time: that’s personal

What’s on your mind rn?: that’s private

Why do you ride this style of bike?:(not a personal question but it would take 10 minutes to explain all of the ins and outs of that decision, and not answering the full question will make me feel unheard and silly) that’s personal.

- If they explain why their asking and it puts you at ease: “ah that makes sense, the reason I like it in the ass is-“

- If they start to explain why they are asking and that hasn’t convinced you to open up: “ah, yes I see…. N-no, I won’t be answering, that’s still private”

Remember that just because someone wants to know something about you, even for innocent reasons; doesn’t automatically give them access to what’s in your head.

Batman’s no kill rule works for Batman when Batman is Bruce Wayne because that man’s impulse control is held together by spite. Every single time that he’s gotten superpowers of some sort he’s just become a straight up supervillain.
