prompt: 'can you write erik struggling to bake and frost a cake for someone he cares about? i think it'd be hilarious like magneto girl dinner (or girl desert?'
yes i can. vaguely au-ish. what if they were slightly normal during the brotherhood. loosely based on kworei's series re: magneto and the twins except this one is a lot more ridiculous
-------------
“We are not buying a cake,” Magneto says.
“But it’s our birthday!” Pietro exclaims. He waves his hand around. “It’s a whole thing, you know? I don’t expect you to know what happens at a birthday party, but usually, there’s cake.”
Magneto arches an eyebrow at him. Pietro meets it readily. “I know the details of a birthday party, Quicksilver.”
“Yeah, ‘cause that’s totally a normal thing to say,” Pietro mumbles very fast. Magneto begins saying what? so Pietro pushes on, “Yeah, well, anyway, if we’re not buying it then we’re baking it.”
“I think your free use of we is rather preposterous, Pietro,” Magneto puts down the newspaper he’s reading at last. A glance at it tells Pietro he gave up on the crossword for the day. “Happy birthday to you and your sister. I am not involving myself in your plans. If you want to bake, you are responsible for whatever happens.”
“So you’re leaving me? In a kitchen? By myself?” Pietro points behind him. “What if I set the kitchen on fire?”
“It’d be your problem.”
“Oh, so you’d let me burn down your operations base? What if I poison Toad? What if, I don’t know, Mastermind walks in and an egg lands on his head? Surely that would cause some in-fighting in the Brotherhood. Not as if we don’t do that already, but—”
“Fine,” Magneto snaps. He stands up, cape dramatically flowing as he does. “Get yourself to that kitchen. I will do it with you. Do not make me regret it.”
“You’ll regret this day for the rest of your life,” Pietro announces proudly. “But it’s fine because it’s going to make Wanda happy, and we like Wanda.”
Magneto stares at him, pointedly doesn’t say anything, and keeps walking evenly to the kitchen.
“Where is your recipe, Quicksilver?” Magneto begins as soon as they arrive. “You cannot come to the battlefield without a plan of attack.”
“You’re so weird,” Pietro mumbles again. He does have a recipe written down—he asked a shopkeeper to tell him the recipe, and he’s been safe-keeping it for the past two months. Wanda was going to be so thrilled. “It’s sponge cake. So, um, pre-heat the oven to 180 degrees—” Pietro hears the oven turning on. “Oh, can your magnetism do that?”
“Yes.”
Pietro holds back the compliment. But it is kind of cool. Regardless—
“Okay, so, we have to butter up the—” the pan already flows to the kitchen table. “See, this is kind of cool, but you’re ruining my process.”
“You asked me to be here.”
“I guess I did,” Pietro speeds off to grab the butter, at least, so Magneto doesn’t get to flex and be all cool with his powers the whole time. “We need, um, sugar…? Eggs. More butter. Vanilla extract. Self-raising flour.”
“I presume you got all of this already?”
“More like stole it, but yes,” Pietro opens the cabinet. He takes it all out, and before Magneto gets to do anything, he’s already done—the sugar and butter are already whisked, he’s cracking the eggs and beating them as they come, in the next second he’s already adding the vanilla, the flour, and just a dash of milk. Not like anyone else drinks milk here. “Okay, so, that’s that.”
Magneto frowns at him, but perhaps he’s a little impressed at how fast he is. “Why exactly did you call me, Pietro?”
“Honestly?” Pietro leans on the counter for a second before he pours the mix in the pan and puts it inside the oven, all before blinking. He comes back to Magneto again and continues leaning on it. “I’m terrified of the piping part. I’m not delicate. I just want to write ‘Happy birthday Wanda’ on it.”
“And you think of me as delicate.”
“Not really, but like, the tips are made of metal, so I assumed you’d have more accuracy and neater handwriting than me,” Pietro explains. “I think so, at least.”
Magneto makes a sound—a chuckle? Something somewhat positive. “Such a task is nothing for the Master of Magnetism.”
“Sure, sure. I guess we just… wait…?” Pietro hates this part. Why can’t time move fast? “So… saw how much you sucked at the crossword today—”
“We can wait in silence,” Magneto says, leaving no room for argument. Pietro isn’t even offended—hey, he isn’t the one being bad at the newspaper.
Longest hour of his fucking life.
“We’re not decorating on a hot cake, Pietro, have you no sense of anything?”
“But waiting sucks so muuuuuuuuch—”
“Okay, here,” Pietro says, taking out the frosting from the fridge. He loads it on the little bag and adjusts the tip before handing it to Magneto. “Remember, just: ‘Happy birthday Wanda’.”
“Are you not writing your name?”
“Nah, it’s for her. So, Happy birthday Wanda—”
“I heard you the first time, Pietro,” Magneto says as the pipe floats to him. “Now, if you may be quiet—”
“And after you add the letters maybe you can do the rest of the decorating around the border—”
“Boy, that is not what we agreed—”
“Well! To be fair, you did not agree to this either, you—”
Uh-oh. Pietro hears a splat, and next thing he knows, the entire decoration is one huge pile on top of the cake, and of course Wanda is back from her day off just then.
She stands at the doorway, looking torn between laughing at them and being horrified. “...I’m back?”
“Happy birthday?” Pietro tries. “We baked you a cake.”
“And got in a fight with the piping bag?” Wanda asks as she steps closer, scooping it up with her finger. “This is very…”
She looks at Magneto, then at Pietro, then at the cake. “It’s very ugly.”
“If you are going to be ungrateful—” Magneto begins, but he’s cut off by Wanda.
“But it tastes fine!” she gives Pietro a hug, and he easily returns it, proud. Magneto watches them interact, and if Pietro didn’t know any better, he’d say he’s embarrassed of his decoration accident. “Thank you both.”
“Next time,” Magneto says, floating a knife to him, cutting the cake, “Next time, I am just letting Quicksilver buy a cake.”

I have so many Dadneto wips at the moment. I have no idea how this happened. But I just want to know which one you think is the most interesting… then maybe I’ll work on that first?
The gist of the stories:
A.
Actually… this fic, I think has the least dadneto. It focuses on Peter and Wanda’s relationship. Peter gets imprisoned in an anti-mutant facility and realizes later on, it was the place his sister was held in almost a decade ago. It was where his sister died. In the end, Erik saves him (of course?) but Peter doesn’t think he deserves to be rescued when his sister didn’t get the same.
B.
Erik wonders what the purpose of his powers really is when all it brings is death and destruction, which isn’t surprising since it came from his rage. But then, his son came along, with similar power to his. And instead of thinking it was a curse, Pietro loved his power. He fiddled with metal with his little hands, and every time he did it, he did so with a smile. He doesn’t carry with him the rage and grief the way his father did. But then Pietro died. In a fire. Erik failed to save him.
Decades later, with Erik’s hands bound and a inhibitor around his neck, he watched as the white-haired boy with broken leg stiffly warp his fingers as he tears the metallic floor off the ground and haul it at the guards charging at him. At this moment, Erik starts to realize… that maybe his son never died at all.
By the way, that was the train scene in Dark Phoenix. Didn’t watch it so I have no idea how it went. Mystique and Jean never died because I said so.
C.
Apocalypse never resurrected. In this story, Magda is both Nina and Peter’s mother. Magda thought her twins had died; while Peter thought his mother died with his twin sister. Magda never told Erik about the twins. Instead of dying, Erik brought Magda and Nina to the mansion when Nina’s mutation manifested. He wanted Charles’ help. When Peter went to the mansion looking for the professor, he didn’t expect Erik to be there. But he decides to stay anyway, because hello, that’s his dad! He wants to know him. But what he doesn’t realize is that his mother, is also getting to know him and figuring the pieces out the he is, indeed, one of her twins.
D.
A young woman appeared at the mansion one day, and said in front of everyone that she was Magneto’s daughter. The information was fast to disseminate. Everyone knew it instantly— including Peter. Peter internally evaluated his sister and realized how beautiful she was. She had Erik’s eyes and even his stern gaze. She held herself with such confidence and elegance. And this made Peter doubt himself even more if he was worthy of being called Magneto’s son when Magneto’s daughter literally looked like the epitome of a goddess. So he decided, he would never ever tell Erik the truth even if he died. Erik got along with his daughter. Everyone also loved her. But in truth, she was lonely. She sought her father because she wanted a family, and even when she did get a family, she still felt a hole in her heart. Just like how Nina would always have a space in Erik’s heart, Pietro would always have a space in Wanda’s heart that would never be filled by someone else. Wanda decided to tell Erik that she is a twin. She and her twin brother got separated as kids. And that her twin was somewhere out there in the world and she wants to find him.
I have to cut this one short, it was getting too long 😅 For those who thought this was Lorna, I’m sorry! I can’t write her yet. Maybe next time!
#i have 2 more WIPS i didn’t include here#cuz i think they’re not interesting enough when it’s not the entire story 😅#anyways#please let me know what you think!#peter maximoff#quicksilver#dadneto#quickson#if no one votes i’ll delete this asap AHAHHAHA 😭#magneto#erik lehnsherr#xmen#xmen movies

Someone, Somewhere, Right Now
{ @house-of-dadneto }
Now on ao3
Summary:
“I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I’m full.” Peter exclaimed, a full grin upon his face, as he leaned back in his seat and closed his eyes in bliss. He would have broken someone out of the pentagon sooner if it meant eating like that again!
Of course, the teen, thus missed the concerned looks that all the adults gave each other at such a remark.
Somehow, this leads to Pietro spilling his guts, because no one will ever blame his wonderful mother. Magna Maximoff is a saint, and it's not her fault Pietro probably eats enough to feed a whole football team.
Unfortunately, Erik did not get the memo that he had a son, but he'll do his best to be there for him now. And giving his son a hug and a talk about how wonderful he is isn't a bad way to start.
Embrace
Peter wasn’t asking for a lot of thanks for literally saving everyone’s asses. I mean moving bullets and knocking out all those guards—anyone!
At least Claws, Logan, whatever, gave Peter a thank you. But really, what Peter really wants for his epicness is some food.
C’mon he’s fifteen and his superspeed burns up a lot of calories. A man’s gotta eat after all!
So, when he’s jammed in-between Claws and Magnets (Erik yeesh, hope this terrorist isn’t the guy mom was talking about) he practically begs high-as-kites Hippy Dude (Charles, and that sounds like a snobby British name if Peter’s ever heard one. Not that he can complain since his birth name is Pietro. Ugh, talk about a name that everyone makes fun of! Kids are not nice!) and Glasses (Hank, honestly he’s just a normal nerd) to pull over for some fast food because, once again he is starving!!!
Anyways, Peter eventually convinced (more like worn down) everyone to get him some food. And man, God bless McDonalds (whoever came up with those burgers, chicken nuggets, and fries knew what they were doing!).
Peter simply engorged himself on 6 burgers, 8 fires, and 40 chicken nuggets. Oh, and like 3 liters worth of sprite before he licked his lips and sat back with a sigh.
Ignoring the looks of disgust, awe, and disbelief that were thrown his way all throughout his feast.
Wow, for once he couldn’t eat a single more morsal. That’s never happened before!
Hank decided to speak up, adjusting his glasses as he gave a quick glance to the backseat from the driver’s side, “Peter… you’ve never been full before?”
Peter blinked his eyes open, his stomach full and his thoughts calm for once as he practically sat in a food coma.
“I mean I’m sure I have when I was little,” Peter worded out slowly and unsure, “But I can hardly remember a time before I was fast.”
Charles spoke up, “You mean before your mutation activated. What age was that?”
Pietro signed, relaxing into his seat, “I don’t know like six, seven? A decade ago man.”
‘That’s so young,’ Charles thought alarmed.
Erik looked over to the young man concerned, “How old are you now?”
Charles sent Erik a sharp look, likely to retort about not recruiting teens for his Brotherhood.
“Almost sixteen!” Peter said happily, “As of March 12th I’ll be able to get my license. I’m super stoked!”
Erik returned a scathing glare to Charles and practically spit out, “You sent a fifteen year old to break a terrorist out of the pentagon!”
“Hey man!” Peter called out but was ignored as the two once-friends-and-lovers-turned-enemies argued.
“It wasn’t my idea!” Charles defended scandalized, “Ask Logan here!”
Logan simply pretended to sleep, snoring rather obnoxiously. It was clear he wasn’t in the mood to answer any questions.
“Don’t deflect your blame Charles!” Erik yelled, for some reason rather protective of the teen.
Logan seemed to snort a bit before going back to his loud snoring. While Hank just shook his head and stared straight ahead, determined to drive without getting distracted.
Peter simply watched as the two adults went back and forth like an amusing tennis match.
(If the match was full of sexual tension and would likely end in some heated making out that is).
Charles rolled his eyes, “Really Erik? You want to talk about taking responsibility. You, who could never accept a peaceful life and one where not everyone is out to get you. Where dozens of innocent men died trying to protect Raven and the other’s when the old Brotherhood attacked! Where humans like Moira were working with and even liked us?!.”
“Moria shot you!” Erik yelled full of venom, his hatred for that woman clear even now. For hurting the man he loved.
“No! She shot you. You are the one that deflected the bullet that ultimately paralyzed me!” Charles roared back, his hurt still displayed as the man in the end held him oh so gently like he was a precious treasure, but then left him leaving him like some scorned widow.
Erik’s face flickered with shame and regret, and he breathed deeply in, “Charles, I’m sorry.” I’m sorry I couldn’t be the man you wanted me to be. That I left you that day. That I couldn’t just try and compromise.
Charles looked like he wanted to do anything but forgive Erik, but then he looked into his once friend’s eyes seeing the deep sincerity and regret in those blues.
The ex-telepath sighed, “My apologies Erik, I know it was an accident. I shouldn’t have said that.” Charles never truly blamed Erik for that, but his lover leaving and finding himself unable to walk again was a kind of hell that he never wanted to fall into again.
Erik shook his head, “No you were right to.” He hurt the man he loved after all.
Then, before the two could say more, because Peter couldn’t hold in his question anymore, “Wait you're paralyzed?! How?! Sorry, but just you’re walking, right? Unless I’m crazy. Did I somehow manage to imagine this whole thing? That’s a new level of crazy if that’s the case. I mean-"
“Peter!” Charles interrupted the teen’s rambling, “Yes, I’m paralyzed. Hank managed to come up with a treatment for my spinal injury though, so I could walk.”
Peter nodded his head, “Oh, that makes sense!”
Hank sighed in relief as the tension seemed to finally completely dissipate, and now his scientific mind could finally address his concerns with the teen’s appetite now, “So Peter, do you usually eat that much?” Wow, Hank, that was an awkward way to bring back the topic.
Peter looked at Glasses a bit weirdly before shrugging, “I mean I guess not. I mean I eat a lot, but I’ve never bothered to keep track. I probably have like a million meals a day, and well,” Peter fidgeted a bit in his seat, a bit embarrassed, “I steal most of my food since Mom, ya know, can’t exactly afford to pay for all the food I need to consume.”
Peter rushed out, though, before anyone could say anything, “But don’t blame her. My mom’s the best mom that could mom. She really does her best. I mean I’m a complete loser who can barely pass my classes, and ya know she’s an immigrant from Transia, and not a lot of white-pricket fenced Americans are exactly nice to immigrants let alone a Romani and a single mom at that!”
Peter sighed reminiscing, “I barely remember Transia, but I remember coming to America. God, by then my silver hair was fully in! I used to have auburn hair man! Like Magnets here,” Peter gestured to Erik.
“And, everything was just so slow all the time. I mean it still is, but I just didn’t understand it then — my powers, or mutation, then. I couldn’t sit still or talk slowly, or normal I guess, and I was hungry all the time!” Peter let out with frustration.
“Mom practically worked herself to the bone to provide for me. I mean I can’t imagine the food bill alone, and I was tiny back then. I didn’t eat nearly as much!” Peter sighed frustrated with himself.
“And that’s not coming up with all the other stupid shit I did. I mean I was just a stupid kid with weird hair and an accent coming to America, and kids of course made fun of me. And the teacher demanded I speak proper English.”
Peter scoffed, “Like I wasn’t fluent in speaking English, German, and Polish, and still, ya know, learning to read and write properly. But just because I had a bit of an accent and didn’t accept any of the other kids bullying — I was the delinquent kid!”
Peter signed. “And don’t even get me started on the butchering of my birth name. It’s really not that hard to say Pietro Maximoff, is it?!”
Erik choked at the name (it couldn’t be right? Not the same Magna Maximoff. Surely, not his ex-wife.).
Peter simply continued, not noticing Magnet's weird reaction, “But wherever, I’m cool with Peter now, even prefer it most of the time after all these years.”
“So yeah, my mom’s amazing! So don’t blame her for thinking she’s starving me!” Peter glared at all the adults around him — fiercely protective of his mom.
Erik decided to speak up first, “She sounds lovely, child. Was she…” Erik swallows, “Is your mom’s name Magma Maximoff per chance?”
The only sound could be heard was the car’s hum, and even Logan’s faux snores completely stopped as everyone held their breaths.
Peter looked wide-eyed at the man — his neurons firing at rapid rates, pulling things together much faster than anyone else. For all everyone claims he is stupid — it’s just everything is so slow for him, but if he’s allowed to think and work as fast as he can there’s nothing that would stop him from figuring things out.
And there’s certainly nothing stopping him from connecting his mom’s words of knowing a man that could control metal.
Of comforting a young Pietro with silver hair on his freakish nature by explaining that he’s simply gifted like a man she knew long ago. Of how his mom’s eyes crinkled with bittersweet joy as she told Pietro of the man’s gifts and how he inherited special traits like that man.
God, Pietro really is stupid isn’t he.
“My mom knew a man who could control metal,” Pietro chokes out, his words losing a more of his American accent the further he spoke, “My mom is Magna Maximoff, survivor of the holocaust. A Romani woman who fell in love with a Jewish man when they escaped. When they fled to Transia and had my oldest sister Anya. When everything all fell apart in a fire, killing my sister. And then my mom fled unknowingly pregnant because the man, my father, was out for vengeance.”
Erik had tears streaming down his face like comets — wishes that never came true, of candles blown out that he never witnessed.
“Oh, my son.” Erik practically sobbed, “I’m so sorry. If I knew, I would have never left your mother and you.”
Pietro’s lip wobbled, but he steeled himself desperately trying to claw the feeling of shame of crying in front of others. His ex-stepfather’s words echoing in his head that men don’t cry, “Words mean nothing, old man.”
Erik’s eyes, though full of tears, were full of ironed steel — an unrusted edge even as time stood against him, true and honest and strong, “You are my son, and nothing would have kept me from you had I known. Nothing would have kept me from loving you.”
Pietro felt tears leaking in his eyes and wetly said, “You can’t say that!” He yelled full of self deprecation. “I’m a screw up, good-for-nothing asshole. I am a moron who can’t sit still and-”
“You are mein Sohn.” Erik said full of conviction, and Pietro couldn’t stand that look full of pride and love, but Erik gently tilted the teen’s face to face him, “And there is nothing that would keep me from loving you.”
Tears escaped Pietro’s eyes and he tried to stop them, but they just kept coming.
“And you are a brilliant young man with an amazing gift,” Erik smiled a genuine and true smile held for his most precious gift, “After all, I don’t think just anyone would be able to get me out of the Pentagon in mere seconds and save everyone on top of that. So thank you, mein kostbarster Sohn.”
My most precious son.
Pietro, no longer able to hold himself back, crashed in his dad’s open arms. And despite himself, found himself crying on his dad’s shirt, just glad that he was hidden from view, for as long as he was in his dad’s arms nothing would harm or judge him there.
This is what it felt like to be hugged by a father. To be loved by a father.
Pietro sobbed and hugged his dad back tighter, and his dad gripped back just as tight. Father and son together again, and for once everything in the world was just right.

Ask game.
AU College Single father!Erik and Professor!Charles Dadnetp. Adorable child Lorna. Forbidden relationship. Sexual tension. Age difference.
Thank you so much!
@fullcatkryptonite First of all, thank you so much for the ask! I like getting prompts/asked to make summaries like this!
Secondly, I apologize in advance if what I'm wrote isn't what you had in mind.
Lastly, I wrote a summary based on the tags you made and I'm posting it here, and it's pretty long (I'm sorry, I can't write short things). However as I wrote the summary I had the idea for a full-blown fic and I actually started writing it. If you like the summary here, I'll be sure to write the actual fic for you! or, alternatively, if you want you could use the summary and write your own fic, i don't mind.
I can't give you any promises to finish the fic asap (my wips are glaring at me, plus i haven't finished my fics for cherikweek2024), but i'll do my best (if you want me to write it).
Sorry for rambling. Anyway, enjoy the summary below!
#AU College #Single father!Erik #Professor!Charles #Dadneto #Adorable child Lorna #Forbidden relationship #Sexual tension #Age difference
***
Charles is a professor at a university, and while he flirts a lot, he draws the line at dating his own students. He knows many of his students like him or have a crush on him (thanks to his telepathy), and he may flirt a little sometimes, but he won't ever date his students. He knows things could end badly for him (and the student) if they start dating, plus, the university would not be happy about it.
Meanwhile, Erik is the single father of Lorna, who is around one year old at this stage. Erik and Magda didn't plan the pregnancy, it was more of a one night stand for them, but when Magda told Erik about the pregnancy he was ecstatic.
Unfortunately, Magda passed away at childbirth and Erik (who has always wanted a family) doesn't want Lorna to be raised by others or thrown into a foster home. Magda's parents are upset that their daughter is dead and kind of blames Erik for it, so he isn't close to them.
Erik is doing his best to juggle between being a father and attending university -- one of the classes he attends is taught by Charles.
Charles notices Erik because Erik's attendance is sporadic (this is because Erik has to take care of Lorna when babysitters aren't available, plus Erik is working two jobs in his spare time), and yet Erik's grades are really good. Other than noticing that Erik is hot and smart, Charles doesn't really notice that much.
However, things change after an incident in the park: it's Saturday and Erik takes Lorna to the park, and he sits on a bench with her on his side, and Erik is floating some metal objects and Lorna is giggling. Basically they're having a good time, but then a mutant hater (I shall call this person Karen) sees Erik's actions and starts screaming/cursing, basically making a racket.
Erik is upset, of course, and he gets more and more angry when Karen says, "Is that even your kid? Will the child be safe in the hands of a mutant like you? You're a danger to society, I should call child protective services!"
Angry (rightfully so), Erik stands up and starts shouting back at Karen, and in the midst of the argument Karen throws her drink at Erik (to splash him with it). Erik instinctively dodges and then he freezes, because shit there's Lorna behind him, and maybe Karen is right, he's not fit to be a father, how could he dodge when his daughter is behind him and oh god --
And the drink splashes unto Charles, who is standing in front of Lorna.
(Charles had been taking a walk in the park when he heard the racket and felt Erik's rage and anxiousness, and when Charles saw Karen throw the drink at Erik and Lorna he didn't think, he just moved to block it, because he could feel Erik's anxiousness and love for Lorna and, well, it was the right thing to do).
Erik is relieved because Lorna is alright, and then he realizes it's his professor standing there and he's just stunned. As for Karen, Charles mind-whammies her to go away and leave them alone. Anyway, thanks to this incident, Charles finds out that Erik has a daughter and he's a single father.
Charles starts helping Erik out, giving him the study materials for the classes that he missed, babysitting Lorna when he can, and just accompanying Erik. Charles is amazed at everything Erik has accomplished, because Erik is a good dad. He can change diapers and read fairytales and work 2 jobs and still get good grades.
Slowly, Charles finds himself falling for Erik, and vice versa. Unfortunately, Charles tries to keep in mind that Erik is his student, for god's sake, how can he date Erik? There's tons of sexual tension between the two of them, but every time things are getting really close, Charles pulls away.
It makes Erik frustrated, and he starts thinking maybe Charles is just doing this out of pity, maybe Charles doesn't like him, and how could Charles like him when he's a single father? When he's a failure to Lorna and he can't give her the life she deserves? So Erik hides his feelings, and Charles hides his feelings too.
Anyway, after misunderstandings and shenanigans, about one and a half year later, Erik and Charles find themselves locked inside a room, the metal doorknob melted into mush (courtesy of Lorna, who discovered her powers). Erik tries to unlock the door and Charles is angry, thinking Erik just hates him and wants to run away, and they argue and kiss and make-up.
Once Erik understands that Charles does love him, and Charles realizes that yes, he wants Erik even if Erik is his student, the two of them make up and start dating. Obviously it's a secret, and they have to do their best to make sure no one notices (Charles has, on more than one occasion, used his telepathy to cover up his hickies or to hide from prying eyes when he and Erik want to make out a bit after class).
When Erik finally graduates, the two of them can finally date openly, and they lived happily ever after.
The End.

BESTIEEE!! Tell me more about Many Adventures!! What inspired you to write it? Is there any fun plots or details you haven’t been able to add to it that you’d like to one day? LOVE YOUU
THANK YOU, BESTIE!!!!! LOVE YOU TOO!!! And OMG!!! I would love to talk about Many Adventures! Here we go!!
Okay, so, in regards to how I got the idea, I had gotten into Iron Dad after I saw Infinity War with my ex-boyfriend not too long before Endgame came out, and after I saw THE HUG in Endgame, I was even more hooked. So of course I got sucked into the Iron Dad tag on Tumblr and fanfiction. And I think I was scrolling through Tumblr one day and saw a post talking about how cool it would've been to have a limited series (it had to have been when Wandavision and Falcon and Winter Soldier were announced or something, I don't remember) centering around Tony and Peter and have it take place between Homecoming and Infinity War. And I was in love with the idea because I loved the idea of getting more Iron Dad content and having RDJ come back as Tony and really exploring how Tony and Peter went from that awkward not-a-hug in Homecoming to Peter gripping onto Tony like a lifeline in Infinity War. Although, I knew it would be close to impossible, so...I think I pretty much decided I would try to tackle that concept but of course as fanfiction.
I did some researching in regards to analyses about the relationship and the characters and the timeline of that 2-year-gap between Homecoming and Infinity War and saw that it worked. I had read a Big Time Rush fic called When We Were Young and was already working on a fic for my OC called The First 21 Years of Grey Bergman. So I was already familiar with this concept of each chapter taking place over the course of a certain period of time. I planned it out in my Notes app in my phone and began to write it. Thus on June 27, 2019, I posted the first chapter of The Many Adventures of Iron Dad and Spider Son on FF.net and then on AO3 as well in February 2020. Also, as a bonus, I got the idea for the title from The Many Adventures of Winnie-the-Pooh. I have no shame! LOL! So, yeah, that's pretty much what inspired me to write it.
As for plots and details I haven't been able to add but would like to, ooooo, that's a good question. I do have a few!
I would love to show more of Tony and Peter training as heroes together. In a recent chapter, I have them agree to train more together as Iron Man and Spider-Man for when the aliens would come back.
Another idea I had is Tony and Peter being trapped in a freezer together. I got that idea from the show Castle. So, if I can find a way to make that happen, I would love to do that.
I also would love to do a chapter where Peter is so distraught because he wasn't able to save someone and have Tony comfort him. I guess, kind of like what you did for Dadneto, bestie.
OH! I would also love to squeeze in doing a scene similar to Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man where he saves a kid and unmasks himself to help the kid feel more comfortable.
That's all I can think of off the top of my head for now, but I'm really excited to get back to continuing Many Adventures, especially during our writing sessions. But the fics are on a rotation, and I'm sticking with it to help my sanity, lol! Thanks so much for asking, bestie! LOVE YOU!!!!
Reblog if you're okay with receiving asks for backstory info on any/all of your fics.

Magneto's Kids
Chapter 6
Pietro carefully snuck in walking past the kitchen. He was halfway through the living room when someone cleared their throat.
"What are you doing sneaking around?" Pietro froze in his tracks, slowly looking back to see Wanda standing behind him.
"I had a small accident" He sighed before pulling a piece of paper out of his coat pocket. Wanda took the paper reading over it very carefully. Peter peered into the room holding a bowl of ice cream, seeing that things were about to get interesting he quickly jumped onto to couch.
"I can't believe you wrecked Dad's car!!!!" Wanda yelled at Pietro as she stormed back and forth across the room.
"It was an accident I was driving as carefully as I possibly could" Wanda turned to face her brother, giving him the, you have got to be kidding me, look before continuing to yell. Peter sat on the couch with a bowl of ice cream enjoying the chaos.
"You call going one hundred miles over the speed limit careful?" Wanda's eyes turn red and she put on her power restraint bracelets to keep from tearing down the house.
"You have no idea what it is like having to live life in slow motion" Pietro wined. Wanda was glad she had her bracelets on because by now she would have knocked Pietro out cold.
"You are literally the second fastest person alive why couldn't you just run" Pietro started to do the puppy face.
"But then I'll be tired" Peter gave a small laugh. Pietro sent him a glare but Peter just continued to laugh.
"You sound like an old man," Peter said stuffing another spoon full of strawberry cheesecake ice cream in his mouth.
"I may not be as fast as you but I'm stronger and one hundred times better looking," Pietro said trying to make himself look more buff.
"As if, you look like some kind of shield experiment gone wrong" By this time both speedsters were racing around the room. 'I hope I'm adopted' Wanda thinks as she tries to stop them.
"Why you little-" Pietro tripped over his own foot crashing into the couch. Peter turned around to laugh and crashed into the wall. 'If I am adopted I'm so un-adopting myself' Wanda facepalmed.
"Pietro this is serious, we need to figure out what to tell Dad that won't make him go on a rampage" Peter shivered.
"Trust me that is something you never want to see" Images of Magneto attacking innocent people flash in his mind. Pietro started to look very worried as he thought of a way out of this "You know I could just 'borrow' a car that looks like Dad's"
"We don't steal kid" Pietro reminded him. Wanda gave a disapproving look to her younger brother, which Peter just rolled his eyes at.
"I know for a fact both of you stole stuff while working for Hydra," Peter said finishing off the last of his ice cream "Heck Dad stole an entire bridge and football stadium"
"Okay I've got it we say that I got in a fight with these bad guys and they stole the car" Wanda rolled her eyes before walking outside.
"This is bad what do I do dad will be home any second!!?!?"Pietro turned to see Erik getting dropped off by one of his friends from work.
"Welp, dear brother of mine it looks like you're on your own" Peter zoomed upstairs. Pietro would have run too, if not for the fact that his feet felt glued to the ground. The first thing Magneto did before going into the house was check the garage.
"Hey, Dadneto what's up?" Pietro asked nervously as Erik walked in the door.
"Where is my car?"Pietro went completely pale as his dad turned to him.
"Well, you see-" Pietro was cut off by someone beeping a car horn outside. He looked out the window to see Wanda driving a car that looked like their dad's but was not wrecked.
"Sorry, Dad I had to go get some books from the library so I could study" Wanda tossed Erik the key as she walked in. Erik gave a small nod of approval before going to his room.
"You owe me one," Wanda said a little annoyed. Pietro hugged her repeatedly saying that she was his favorite sibling and he owed her his life. "You still owe me seventy thousand dollars"

Promise
Summary: It's Erik's turn to take care of young Peter, but he's out on a business trip. Again. Warnings and whatnots: Kid!Peter. Dadneto. Not following original story. Eric is practically a diplomat. Charles and Raven being Peter’s unofficial guardians .
Charles stands uncomfortably in front of his best friend's ex's house. He already rung the doorbell, he could sense the disheveled woman nearing the door. He puts on an awkward smile as the door opens.
"Charles," She says, staring at the young man in front of her. "Erik's not here?" She asks, but before Charles could answer a small gust of wind came running up.
"Papa!" The voice says loudly, excitement and happiness practically bursting from the young silver haired boy. His demeanor immediately changed as he saw his father's best friend standing in front of the doorway. "Where's papa?"
Charles kneels down, facing the young boy who was hiding behind his mother's leg. "You're father is on a business trip right now... He'll be back in two days, so in that time your father asks your Aunt Raven and Uncle Charles to take care of you!" Charles says, smiling softly at the young boy. The boy mumbles an okay before letting go of his mother's pant leg and taking the hand of his father's best friend.
~
Erik hated his job. No, he despised it.
Ever since he got this bloody job, he had missed most if not all his time with Peter. This time it was no different. He was supposed to be in America, with Peter. Taking care of his only child and son. His only family. Yet here he was, in France in a dull meeting with some businessman.
The meeting was adjourned and he quickly gathered up his things and left the room. Not caring to speak nor network with the other people in the room. His grip on his briefcase tightens as he sees his boss' assistant leaning against the doorway. He approaches the woman, his face showing no emotion. She smiles at him.
"You will be very happy to hear what I have to say."
~
Peter laid down on his bed, staring up at the ceiling. The door to his room opens and he sits up. A blonde woman stands in his doorway, a sympathetic smile etched on her face.
"Do you want to eat something, kid?"
Peter didn't respond, just shaking his head. Raven walks towards Peter, sitting down on the edge of his bed. "It'll be fine. In two days he'll be back."
"He's never here when I come here..." Peter mumbles. His eyes staring into Raven's. Her heart practically broke in half as she saw the broken look on the young boy's face. "Come here," She mutters to him, wrapping her arms around him. Peter sobs.
Raven knew that Erik wanted to see Peter but his work wouldn't allow it. She wished for once, that Erik could just come and comfort Peter.
~
Erik walks off the plane, a small smile on his face. Internally, he was bursting with happiness. His boss had let him go early. He could see Peter today. He could see his son today!
He walks over to his best friend who was standing near his car. He had called him the night before telling him about the news. He had planned out a whole day with Peter with Charles the night before. He hugged his best friend, smiling softly.
"Everything is running smoothly," Charles says, pulling back. Erik smiles. "Let's go. We should not be late."
~
Peter sits quietly in the passenger seat of Raven's car. "Where are we going, Auntie Raven?" He asks. Raven smiles, putting a finger to her lips.
"It's a secret." She smiles.
She pulls her car into the parking lot of a local diner. She leads a confused Peter into it, smiling to everyone in the diner.
"Hey speedy!" A familiar voice calls out to Peter, he looks up immediately catching the eye of his father. Peters mouth hung open before he ran up to the man. Erik sits shocked at the booth he was sitting at. He looks at Charles incredulously, before wrapping his arms about the young boy. He lifts up the young boy, seating him next to him.
Peter's lips quiver as he stares at Erik. He thought that Erik was going to not come home. He thought he wouldn't see him again.
"Hey, hey, hey, why are you crying?" Erik asks, wiping the tears off his son's face.
"I thought you would never come... I thought you left me..." Peter mumbles into Erik's shirt. Erik stares down at Peter, his lips pursed as he looks at Charles. His eyes were tearing up.
Peter thought he would've left him. Peter thought he had abandoned him.
"I would never do that son. I would never leave you," Erik says, kissing the young boy's forehead.
"Promise?"
"Promise."

hi! i don't know if you've done this before but can i get some dadneto fics? just erik bonding with his children or charles and erik being a couple and spending time with their kids?
Hi anon, thank you for the ask. First of all, I'm so sorry for the long wait but I hope this list will compensate for that. There are so many dadneto fics out there and I hope you'll find some here you like!
Dadneto Fic Recs
One Second and a Million Miles – Madneto
Summary: Between being a parent to the best baby in the history of man-kind and co-running a Mutant Center in Hell's Kitchen, Erik Lehnsherr has his hands pretty full. Too full, certainly for romance; something that has never really been on his radar to begin with.
All that changes, however, when he meets Dr. Charles Xavier. Handsome, intelligent, capable, kind, an Omega level telepath, and one of the best pediatricians in the state, he's everything Erik didn't know he was looking for. But he's also Lorna's pediatrician which means, of course, he's off-limits. Except how is Erik supposed to try and forget his crush when he and Charles keep running into each other as if fate is trying to tell them something? When, as Charles says, they seem to want the same thing?
Your Father’s Daughter – ConsultingWriter
Summary: Wanda proves just how much she takes after Erik. Pietro reeled back before leaning back in "They didn't tell you what happened? Wanda got in a fist fight and totally wailed on this guy, I mean, on one hand I feel kinda embarrassed for him, but it was so epic."
Erik's eyebrows shot to his hairline. Wanda got in a fight? That was....surprising, to say the least. Wanda tended to take after Charles in temperament and preferred talking to violence.
Not What I was Expecting (So Much Better) – lazulisong
Summary: Erik, the single father, hires Charles, the grad student with the slightly shady past, to be his manny.
Marrying a Mob – Ook
Summary: Charles is a teacher at a very exclusive school. When armed men burst in on the trail of two children, of course he stands up to them and gets hurt. The children are Erik Lehnsherr's children (of course); a "prominent businessman" or, less politely, "mobster".
Erik is grateful to Charles for saving his children's lives at the cost of his kneecap. So very grateful.
Naturally he tries to reward Charles for his actions. Equally naturally, Charles will be having none of that.
Azazel finds the whole thing unspeakably hilarious. Naturally.
Take a Chance (On Me) - Ook
Summary: In which Charles, terrorised by his abusive ex, takes his young son to a small town in America, where they both settle down and make friends with their neighbours. Particularly the town mechanic, Erik, and his foster son, Alex. Requester stated they wanted to "drown in H/C. "
Can’t Buy Me Love – niniblack
Summary: Erik's a single dad struggling to make it work and nab the promotion he's been waiting for. The last thing he needs is to get involved with politician and notorious playboy Charles Xavier.
(The Maid in Manhattan pastiche that no one asked for.)
Sink or Swim – endingthemes
Summary: Erik is a struggling single dad of three kids with a burning hatred for Sebastian Shaw, the man who wronged him years ago. He’s tried to move on with his life, but a run-in with Shaw’s rude, spoiled omega, Charles, drags up old anger.
When Charles ends up in the hospital after an accident, Erik goes to confront him only to find that Charles has amnesia. In the confusion, Charles mistakenly assumes that Erik is his mate.
Erik knows he should clear up the misunderstanding, but how can he pass up this perfect chance for a little revenge?
(An Overboard AU)
Some Assembly Required – manic_intent
Summary: For the kmeme: "Alex and Hank were two teenagers who frequently fight in school. One fight got so bad that the principal called in their fathers (as both came from single-parent families)/ guardians for a conference. This was how Charles and Erik meet."
I ♥ NY (It’s My Friends I’m Not Sure Of) – oddegg
Summary: Erik is a single, successful man who likes quick sex with no strings attached. Then, he meets college professor Charles and it's love at first sight, at least for him. Charles, who heard of Erik's notorious ways, wants nothing to do with him besides being friends. Cue Erik bending over backwards to steal Charles' heart.
Series
Runs in the Family – Anonysquirrel (chibirisuchan)
Summary: In which mpreg!Charles Bakes All The Things, overprotective!Erik calls his small round tea-drinking husband "Vati's little teapot", Tony Stark/Bad Ideas is Stark Industries' most profitable OTP, and Alex and Steve are somehow along for the ride. And the cookies.
Heli Cases - Black_Betty
Summary: "Heli Cases" is a program on PBS whose aim is to educate on the rapidly increasing occurrence of genetic mutation in the general populous by breaking the complex science down into palatable, easy to digest pieces.
It is also the only thing that helps Erik get his fussy daughter to fall asleep.
(Featuring Dadneto, baby Lorna and the struggles of single fatherhood, and Charles as the host of a late night show about genetics.)
For here you are, standing there, loving me - orphan_account
Summary: Charles is a brilliant grad student, at Columbia on a full-ride. But his scholarship doesn't cover rent or the other necessities of living, so when his mother finally cuts him off, he is well and truly fucked. Enter emotionally distant father Erik Lehnsherr, in need of a live-in nanny for his seven adopted children. Who have driven off the eleven previous nannies. And who are all highly powerful mutants. Really, how hard can it be?
Or, the modern day The Sound of Music AU no one asked for.
Dress Your Family in Plaid and Skinny Jeans - cygnaut
Summary:Erik and Charles meet at the mutant playgroup/parenting support circle and they instantly hit it off. And so do their kids, Lorna and David.
Videos on the Internet - WaxRhapsodic
Summary:“Papa! Charles makes videos on the internet!” Nina chimed excitedly.
Charles blushed a furious red at her innocent words as he tried to stammer out an explanation in the face of Erik’s newly intense, calculated perusal that took him in from head to toe.
He gave a nervous laugh, “I’ve never heard it put quite that way, Nina.”
Still Going Strong - JackyJango
Summary: Speaking of forty-eight, Erik hates it. Hates it even more that others are aware of it. While he’s pragmatic enough to know and accept that aging is inexorable, the increase in number gives the people around him the freedom to pounce at him with questions, opinions and advice he'd fought to keep at bay all year.
Besides, Erik believes that youth is a state of mind, not a phase in one’s life.
You have a child’s mind in a man’s body, Charles constantly tells him.
But despite his age, Erik is healthy. He works out daily. His muscles are steel and he can dead-lift four hundred pounds. He can break bones without breaking a sweat. Most importantly, he can still carry Charles to the bedroom and fuck him senseless. And as long as Erik can do that, he’s perfectly happy.
Daddy Cool (In the Summertime, When Weather is High Remix) - JackyJango
Summary: Erik inspires a brand of fear in people that Charles has never been able to wield-- a combination of awe and terror-- the kind that comes from watching a Tiger prowl in the jungle. Charles doesn’t know whether it’s Erik’s cold, commanding demeanour, or his ability to pull a submarine out of the churning Atlantic that has others withering under his stare. Even their oldest children are not immune to Erik’s looming presence or the sharpness of his grey-eyed glare. Hank and Sean stammer while speaking with Erik, and Alex, who is outwardly austere, idolises the Metalbender. They all respect him in their own ways; of that, Charles is sure. The younger ones are a different story altogether. They’re scared of, what they dub as, Erik’s ‘Shark Grin’. It’s oddly entertaining to see them run away when he smiles, leaving a dumbfounded Erik in their wake.
It's also strangely what makes their mentoring-- or what Charles likes to think secretly as parenting-- work.
Or the 5 times Charles and Erik were good parents and 1 time they weren't.
Notorious DILF - bettysofia
Summary: Lorna Dane practices her photography every day. Her favorite model, who frequently ends up on her Facebook wall? Her dad. All of her friends always comment on how ridiculously hot he is.
When Charles Xavier happens to come across a photo of a ridiculously hot older man on Facebook he is instantly smitten. And he is determined. He is going to get that man.
Ohana - royal_chandler
Summary: Erik's children are absolute hellions. If by hellions, one means children who are incredibly protective of their new family unit and won't let a few household mishaps get in the way of keeping it together.
Shake It Up - professor
Summary: Erik has spent so long at this parenting thing he no longer recognizes when someone is hitting on him.
The other side of the coin - flightinflame
Summary: Alex knows he's damn lucky to have this job. Sure, the boss is kind of a dick, but he's a dick to everyone, and Alex appreciates him. He just can't believe the man has a softer side.
Erik Lehnsherr’s Guide to Parenting – keire_ke
Summary: Alex disapproves of school car washes, despite the abundance of wet bikinis on pretty girls. Erik doesn’t approve of his son shirking money-making duties. Human AU.
The Big Reveal (Your Faves Are Problematic Remix) - sebastian2017
Summary: It causes a small stir when Professor X and Magneto both have children starting at the same kindergarten. It’s a VERY big stir when someone figures out it’s actually just one: David Xavier-Lehnsherr.
Wrap me up, unfold me - hllfire
Summary: Charles Xavier is hired to tutor the daughter of one Mr. Lehnsherr after the man hears word of Charles' services. Unemployed, hungry and with no home to go to, Charles takes the job in a heartbeat, finding himself in the middle of a house full of gifted people like himself, from staff to his employer and the child he's supposed to teach. In his heart, there's only thankfulness for the man who hired him, but dealing with Mr. Lehnsherr turns out more complicated than he expected, especially after he finds himself falling in love with the man.
Home - diner_drama
Summary: Charles managed to bear three nights of constant wails from the apartment next door before he finally caved and knocked sharply on the door of his new neighbour. He was rewarded with the sight of the sleepy man framed in soft light of the doorway, his handsome face creased with tiredness, and his clothes rumpled and askew. A babe of four months or so was cradled against his chest, matching her cries to the dulcet tones of another infant behind them in the apartment.
Plastering his most winning smile on his face, Charles tried to keep the balance between reassuring and forceful. "Erik, get Pietro and sit down with both of the children on your sofa. I'll make up two bottles and we'll feed them together, and then you need to get some sleep."His neighbour didn't move, blocking the doorway and scowling suspiciously. "Who the fuck are you?" he hissed.
Playing House - ClarkeStetler, Goosenik
Summary: Erik Lehnsherr has been 'fighting for mutant rights' for the last couple years. Some might call it terrorism, but those people were narrow-minded. Unfortunately, this means that when Magda Maximoff died, no one was able to locate him to let him know that his children were without a guardian. Charles Xavier was selected as their foster parent instead, and had been doing an excellent job for the past year. Erik is back now and has no intention of being separated from his children, but working together for the kids is easier said than done.
In a different situation— some anonymous bar in some overpopulated city, perhaps— Erik would absolutely have been interested. He was slender and looked about Erik’s age, but his eyes took up the majority of his face and were almost alarmingly blue. His dark curls looked like they were made for a hand to fist in. His anger was nearly palpable, sparking off him in waves that Erik could physically feel. Under any other circumstance, he’d be attracted, would have immediately started things working to get the pretty little Englishman back to his place.
Not this circumstance.
“You will not,” the Brit snarled at Erik, “Not be taking custody of my children.”
Mansion by the Lake - flightinflame
Summary: When Nina manifests her abilities, Erik takes her and her mother to the one place he knows they will be safe. He finds himself once more thrown together with the man that he loves, and who he believed was forever lost to him.
For Charles, Erik's arrival brings challenges but also hope. And he could never turn away a child in need of help.
A Place To Belong - TempusNoKitsune
Summary: "Reverend Mother, Raven....I- please. I don't want-don't need a break. This is where I belong."
She shakes her head. "No Charles, I think that you do. In fact, I'm not going to give you a choice. If you still wish to return after your break you will be welcomed with open arms."
[The Sound of Music AU that no one asked for]
You Again - ag3nta
Summary: Charles absolutely hates Erik after meeting the mutant in college. Nearly ten years later, Charles thinks he’ll never see him again, that is until their kids become best friends.
Big Daddy Mags - JackyJango
Summary: Erik thinks that this all too early. But Charles had insisted that he had wanted to meet the kids. What was the hurry? They had known each other for only three months and been only on a couple of dates. He had not voiced any of his concerns at the time. But now, he’s sure that this is a very bad idea. He really likes Charles. Genius, smart, kind, mutant and gorgeous Charles. And his kids have a tendency of scaring away his potential partners. The last time it had happened, Emma had run away like she'd seen wildfire.
On the Way Home - brilliantdreams
Summary:Erik and his daughter Lorna are heading home on the very crowded evening train and the man in front of Erik has absolutely no balance.
Sundays With Charles - Penguina
Summary: Erik is a struggling single dad. His life is a mess, he's constantly drowning in problems - financial, emotional and parental - until one day it hits him! A car hits him actually... and it changes his life forever. Because that is when he meets Charles Xavier - a young man who brings sunlight and smiles back to the Lehnsherr family.
However Erik realizes his feelings for Charles change from friendship to something else and that is a big no in Erik's book.
Would you like to stay forever? - Daslebensmittel
Summary: Erik and Charles have great thing going, except that Erik's kids haven't met Charles yet. They expect the worst and hope for the best, but the kids have their own ideas.
The Family Man - ag3nta
Summary: Erik lives a very lavish lifestyle that changes one night on Christmas Eve when he disarms a robber at a gas station.
The next morning, Erik wakes up with three kids, and he’s married to his college sweetheart, Charles.
Erik Lehnsherr’s Baby and Child Care : 1st Ed. - ourgirlfriday
Summary: When everyone told Erik that having children would change things, he agreed wholeheartedly. For one, they’d need to get more food from the grocery store, and recalibrate the booze to juice ratio currently used in the apartment. He and Charles would have to either eschew mid-afternoon couch sex or become much stealthier about said mid-afternoon couch sex. The office, currently overflowing with Charles’s genetics texts and Erik’s maps and dossiers, would have to be converted to a baby room. They’d need toys of some sort or another. And he’d most certainly no longer be able to leave spare grenades on the end tables.
Daddy or Papa? - Pillow_Bee
Summary: A video goes viral in the month of January – it is that of a blue-eyed, dark-haired boy, two years old at most, who is being filmed by his Papa while his Daddy jokingly asks him to choose, “Who do you like most, darling, Daddy or Papa?”
After being asked the question several times and failing to give an answer that satisfies both his parents, the two-year-old bursts into tears (naturally).
Words and Pictures – pocky_slash
Summary: When Lorna's powers manifest early, Charles Xavier's mutant picture books are the perfect teaching tool. Erik just hadn't expected the author to be so young. Or attractive. Or available.

Hello!! I love how you write your stories! Is it okay if I request a story about Peter figuring out he can move/control metal while hanging out with the other x-men? And he accidentally makes them all start floating (because he's controlling the metal in their clothing) and everyone is trying to get him to calm down? Maybe even throw in some dadneto?
Hey Love ❤️ really sorry about the wait work has been a real bitch lately. I promise I haven’t forgotten any of you.
Magnetic
Pairing: mostly just dadneto but it does have a pinch of cherik because it’s canon in my mind
Words:1220
Warnings: my language but that’s about it
Summary: Peter becomes a human magnet 🧲
Masterlist
///::::///
Peter didn’t get upset often, he was the type to bottle his emotions until they exploded from the internal pressure. He had been shoving down his feelings about Erik for over ten years now and unknowingly shoving down his secondary mutation from manifesting along with said emotions. But like with all things emotions can’t be stamped out they will come out sometime if you don’t deal with them and it’s usually at the worst moment possible.
Peter’s moment came in a petty argument with Scott. Something a twenty six year old shouldn’t be doing especially with someone nearly ten years younger than them. It wasn’t even a good argument; it was over something as asinine as whether Peters silver pants were lame or not.
Peter and the kids had been chilling in one of the common areas. The kids pretty much flocked to Peter like a cool older brother. It had made him uncomfortable at first, he didn’t want to be that guy who hung out with teenagers. Adults that hung out with kids were weird, he was much more comfortable hanging out with Raven. He just wished she would drop the whole you should talk to your dad thing.
“Nice pants” Scott had scoffed at the speedster who only raised his eyebrow at the kid.
“Thank you, I spray painted them myself,” Peter informed him, his eyes twinkling. This only seemed to piss off Scott even more, he wanted to argue and it seemed like Peter wasn’t having it.
“Oh we can all see that” Scott scoffed and Peter felt a small thread of irritation run through him. Scott was notoriously a shit stirrer and liked to get under people’s skin.
“Nobody likes a bully, Scott,” Jean said without looking up from the copy of Hamlet she was reading. Scott looked properly chastised after being called out by his girlfriend. Peter knew that wouldn’t keep his mouth shut long.
“Yell nobody likes looking at a metallic eyesore” Scott laughed and Peter could feel his irritation building up. Jean huffed and got up just in time to drag scot away. It was too late though the emotions had already started to bubble up and instead of word vomit all the loose metal in the room started to levitate.
Once the objects were floating they started shooting towards Peter causing him to make a very “manly” squeal of surprise. Jean and Scott who had been in the doorway about to exit stopped to stare.
“What the hell” he yelled, unable to unstick any of the metal that had become attached to his person. Peter could feel the panic and anxiety start to build up which only threw his new found powers even more out of control. He tried shaking at superspeed to get the metal to fall off.
“I’m gonna go get the professor” Kurt declared with wide eyes when he saw that Peter was not in control. Kurt was gone with a bamf up to the professor’s study. Unfortunately for Peter or some might say it was fortunate, his father Erik happened to be up there playing chess with the professor.
***
*BAMF*
Erik blinked in surprise when the blue child teleported directly into Charles’ study. His surprise quickly turned to irritation, he was reminded again that this was a school and there would be no peace. His irritation then turned to slight guilt when he saw Charles’ worried face.
“What is wrong my boy?” Charles asked the nervous blue child. He couldn’t be more than 15, still all gangly limbs and awkward stares.
“It’s Peter, everything is sticking to him!” The frazzled teenager yelped. Erik felt an inexplicable rush of concern for the silver haired mutant. He had grown to like the boy in the brief time that he had known him.
“Kurt would you be kind enough to take us to Peter” Charles’ voice sounded right like he knew something and wasn’t sharing the information. Kurt nodded, taking each of the men’s arms. With a bamf the three were in one of the common rooms.
Erik for all that he had seen in his life could honestly say he had never been more stunned. There standing by the sofa was Peter covered in metal odds and ends looking completely miserable with a teaspoon stuck to his cheek. Erik stared mouth agape at the sight before him.
“It seems Peter has manifested a secondary mutation” Charles' voice brought Erik out of his stunned stupor. Peter, who had only just noticed the two new arrivals turned lobster red with embarrassment and began frantically shaking his limbs trying to dislodge the metal from his person.
“Peter, you need to calm down, only that will free the metal, Charles' voice cut through the chaos. Peter froze resembling a child with their hand caught in the cookie tin.
“Students please clear the room please,” he continued and the students dutifully filed out of the room leaving just Peter, Charles and Erik. Erik took the time that Peter was standing still to study the boy with his new knowledge. He hadn’t noticed before, his shock of silver hair and loud clothing drew one's eye away from his facial features. Peter had a very familiar face, he had Magda’s smile. He also had Erik’s nose and his Mama’s eyes. Erik was floored how he could have missed something so glaringly obvious.
Peter was his child, his adult child. He had missed out on his child’s entire life. He refused to miss a minute more he would be there for Peter no matter what, the Brotherhood be damned. Nothing came before his family, not even mutant kind.
Peter was following Charles' instructions , breathing in deep and holding them before letting them out. Slowly the bits of metal began to drop from Peter’s body.
“That’s it Peter, find your happiest memory” Erik suggested, coming to lay a hand on the boy’s shoulder. Peter’s breathing stuttered at the physical contact but quickly evened out again. It took Erik and Charles another fifteen minutes but soon Peter was completely calm and a pile of metal lay at his feet.
“Peter, can we talk?” Erik asked, Peter’s eyes went wide but he nodded. Charles excused himself without a word and Erik made a mental note to confront his lover about keeping things from him.
“So...what did you want to talk about?” Peter asked laughing nervously as he rubbed the back of his neck.
“You said something to me ten years ago, with the chaos I didn’t have time to give it thought,” Erik started and Peter made an audible gulping noise in the back of his throat.
“Huh? Did I, about karate I think?” Peter deflected, uncomfortable with the building tension.
“No Peter, I think you know what I’m referring to. You mentioned something about your mother knowing someone who could bend metal.” Erik stated pointedly but not unkindly.
“Uh yeah” he rubbed even more furiously at the back of his neck.
“Yes and now you are experiencing a secondary metallokinesis mutation. Tell me Peter, was your mother’s name Magda?” He asked and Peter could feel all the emotional walls he had built crumble.
“Yes” Peter answered looking anywhere but at his father. That’s why he didn’t see it coming when he was suddenly wrapped in Erik’s long armed embrace.

Ok but what about a Dadneto AU with Scott and Jean’s kids: Imagine Jean was pregnant in DP and has Scott’s kids and they end up on earth by some magical way or whatever but SCOTT NEVER KNEW SHE WAS PREGNANT. so in like sixteen years a girl named Rachel and a boy named Nathan come to Xaviers looking for a place to stay but they look incredibly familiar to Scott unfortunately he can’t ask them about it because every time they see him they run away.
you really said: "okay, but imagine pain."
okokok but imagine jean (before she realized that xavier locked her memories away and angst and stuff) telling xavier but her wanting him to keep it a secret. like- scott would definitely call charles and he would have no idea if he should keep it a secret or not.
scott: "they just- something about them reminds me of her so much, you know? i know it's a dumb thing to wonder but i just wanted to ask."
charles, conflicted: "well... uh- i cared about all of you kids so much it felt like you were my children too?"
scott: "ok... well i've never interacted with them they just kinda spy on me."
charles, having peter and erik flashbacks: "well... um... maybe you should just... talk to them?"
and scott would be like "thanks professor!! have a nice day" and just be nice to him like the softie he is
#i just#i tried to keep it lighthearted but oa#*ow#x men#scott summers#rachel summers#nathan summers#charles xavier#ask#anon

Wrote this little dadneto in the MCU thing, so have fun. ‘
____
Erik Leshner stood in the collapsed building, next to the bomb siting on the floor looking harmless. He could barely look at the destruction around him. He had left his children in their hands, two of the only people in the world who knew why he had to abandon the twins. Now they were gone, their bodies lie somewhere underneath the rubble their last breaths long gone from their lungs.
The songs of war had moved into the distance, leaving their path of destruction in their wake. A path that his children had been right in the middle of. Erik wanted to scream, to tear the broken building off of its foundations and throw it far away. But deep down he couldn't, he was still too numb from hearing about the tragedy. Not only that but he couldn't destroy the resting place of the Maximoffs no matter how hard he tried.
Irena and Oleg, Erik wasn't even sure how he had known them. Perhaps it was through Magda, or perhaps he pondered he had known one of their parents a long time ago. Either way he knew them and despite being so closed off, liked them. They liked him too, by some twisted logic they trusted him and adored him like family. So when he ended up at their door asking them to take the twins, the only reason they hesitated was to make sure Erik had been sure of the decision.
Erik had never been sure of the decision. Now standing here among the wreckage he felt even less sure, as if he had made the wrong one. One of thousands of wrong decisions that he had made in his life. One of many more yet to come. Still Erik couldn't help but wonder how any of this would have turned out had he decided to keep the twins with him. He told him self over and over again that the outcome would have been worse. He could have had an attachment to them, and then have them ripped away from him. Just like so many other people he had cared for throughout his life.
Erik turned to face the giant hole in the building. Snow and ash fell on his hair making it look much more gray than it was. The smell of the cold mixed with the smell of burning wood and plastics from the nearby rubble where buildings once stood. Erik couldn't help but turn again to take a look over the destroyed apartment, hoping to find the bodies to give them a proper burial. All he could see were the shattered remains of items that had belonged in the apartment. Most items held little to no significance, a broken TV playing some sort of sitcom, the couch where they had told the Maximoffs that they were expecting, the small guest bed strangely still intact.
Erik took a double take, the bed as he had remembered it was hardly steady. For it to survive the initial bomb blast was nothing short of a miracle. An extremely unlikely occurrence considering there was what appeared to be a defective bomb sitting right next to it. That's when he noticed the room itself was not nearly as damaged as it should be. One side had been obliterated, whilst the other remained almost perfectly intact. The other three small rooms of the apartment seemed to be gone themselves, with nothing but piles of concrete in their place.
Erik walked over slowly to the bed and closed his eyes in relief as he heard the squeak of a terrified child from under the bed. Erik chose a slab of concrete to sit down on, trying to make himself less intimidating to the child underneath the bed "Its okay I'm a friend." He said in broken Sokovian.
"You don't speak Sokovian that well." Came a young boy's voice from underneath the bed.
"No I don't. You however speak English quite well for someone your age."
"I'm not young your just old." The child said sticking his face out slightly eyeing Erik with curiosity.
"Peitro don't." A second child's voice came out from under the bed, much softer than the boy's.
"It's okay I don't bite." Erik said, releasing some of the tension in his shoulders. They had both survived, and since they had survived one or both of them had manifested their powers.
"What are you doing here?" The boy asked still timid but not nearly as much as his sister.
"I was looking for survivors Peitro." Erik said.
"Hey how'd you know my name!" Peitro yelled.
"Your sister told me." Erik replied knowing he just lied to his kid.
"Oh." Peitro said, inching further out from under the bed, "You look funny, kinda like the people on the TV."
"Peitro!" The girl cried slapping him on the arm.
"Wanda what was that for?!"
"You don't know if we can trust him, besides that wasn't nice." Wanda said.
"You can trust me Wanda." Erik said, "I won't hurt you I promise."
A DVD case flew out from underneath the bed, clearly propelled by something other than a child's physical hand. Erik attempted to dodge the object but failed when it veered off what appeared to be its projected course, hitting him in the shoulder. Wanda peaked out a bit testing the water trying to see if Erik was telling the truth. "You promise?" She asked hesitantly.
"I promise." Erik said reaching a hand out. The girl slid from under the bed into the pale light of the street lamps reflecting off the snow. Erik had expected her to be covered in bruises and cuts, but all he could see was dirt and grime. "What day did this happen?" He asked softly his heart sinking as Wanda took his hand. She looked pale, and it was clear that she hadn't had any food or water in a day or two.
"Friday." She said a distant look in her eyes. Erik could feel his heart clench, last he had checked his watch it was one in the morning on Monday. These children— his children had been stuck up in the building for two full days. Sitting waiting for either the bomb, the exposure, or the lack of food and water to kill them. Erik silently cursed as a tear ran down his cheek. "Are you okay?" Wanda asked.
Erik took his free hand and wiped the tear away, "I'm okay." He said to her trying to reassure himself that he wasn't about to lose it and add to the chaos. "A little ash in my eye that's all."
"What's that?" Peitro asked pointing to the tattoo on Eriks wrist.
Erik looked down and slid his sleeve up a little more so that the twins could see. "I'm an orphan like you." He said quietly, "Some very bad people took my parents away from me. Then they gave me this tattoo and told me to work. There was a lot of killing, and a lot of families were torn apart."
"Are we gonna get torn apart?" Wanda asked.
"No." Erik said, "You two won't because I know you two will stick to each other like glue."
Wanda turned to face Peitro and the boy nodded. "Are you going to take us with you?"
Erik felt his heart sink. That was the exact question he was asking himself. "No, I can't. My work doesn't leave me much time for family."
"What do you do?" Peitro asked.
"Why are you here then?" Wanda asked.
"Slow down." Erik said aiming the comment towards his son than his daughter. "I work on top secret missions for the US government. Missions that don't allow me to have a family." Erik said knowing he was yet again lying to his children. "As to your question Wanda, I knew your parents."
"I would remember you." Wanda said.
"I knew your parents a long time ago, before you were born. I'm sure I knew them as very different people than you did. When I heard about what had happened I had to see. I'm glad the two of you are alive."
"Barely." Peitro said "I'm starving."
"How about this, I take you back to my hotel room and you can clean up and sleep? I'll take you two to the orphanage in a couple days." Erik said knowing it was a stretch. The truth was he needed to make himself scarce soon otherwise the authorities would find him, an occurrence that was sure to become nasty.
"No." Wanda said, "We go to the orphanage in the morning."
"I understand." Erik replied. He did understand, to the twins he was a stranger. A stranger looking to use them rather than it being out of the kindness of his heart. They were probably right, had they been any other kids he would have used them, or even disregarded them and left them to die.
"What now?" Wanda asked.
"Tell us a story!" Peitro said, running to where the bookshelf used to be at a slightly inhuman speed. "Aww they’re gone." He grumbled running back to his sister and Erik.
Erik smiled softly, Magic and superhuman speed, just what the situation would have needed. Magic was in the twins veins, and their mother was quite gifted with her magic. Speed on the other hand seemed to be a new addition to the mutant tree, but that didn't mean that it wasn't predictable. After all Peitro had seemed to be constantly moving around in the womb, and the one time Erik had called Irena, she told him they couldn't stop Peitro from running off.
"Do you have any stories?" Wanda asked looking at her father.
"Yes I do Wanda. Not in books though, stories in my head."
"Tell us one!" Peitro yelled.
"I know the perfect one." Erik said standing up and sitting on the guest bed back against the wall. He patted next to him and one twin sat on either side of him. "A long time ago there was this group of people..."
"Is there any action?!" Peitro asked.
"Why is it always fighting?" Wanda asked "Why can't you accept a peaceful story about people?"
"Shh, there's plenty of both." Erik consoled the twins before starting the story again. "This group of people were fighting for people like them, people who were different."
"Different how?" Wanda asked.
"These people had powers, abilities beyond your wildest imaginations. They fought so others like them and their children could live in a world that accepted them. Some of them looked different, and had strange appearances. Some of them looked like you or me, but had powerful abilities that one would never be able to guess."
"Like flight?" Peitro asked.
"Yes like flight." Erik confirmed the soft smile returning to his face, "They created silly little names for each other, each one embraced a part of who they are. They called themselves the X-men."
"Are the X-men real?" Wanda asked.
"Maybe they were. This was so long ago no one is quite sure. I doubt if they were real they are still around anymore." Erik said pausing to collect his thoughts. It had been so long ago on the beaches of Cuba where he had stood, in his mid twenties and full of rage and anger. That man that had stood there was gone, replaced with a much more dangerous combination of those primal emotions.
"Keep going?" The boy asked leaning in closer to Erik.
"Only if you don't interrupt any more." Erik teased.
"We won't we promise." Wanda said sending a glare towards her brother.
Erik continued to tell the twins the exploits of the X-men. How in the end they saved the world, and how they were held as heroes among the people they had fought so hard to gain acceptance from. How in the end they were forced to keep themselves a secret for fear that they would be hunted down despite their heroics. How even though heroes can do all the right things sometimes life makes them walk a different path.
Erik finished the story and looked down. Both twins were snoring softly, having fallen asleep likely for the first time in days. Erik couldn't keep in the tears, he could feel as they ran down his face. The cold making the trails of moisture they left behind burn on his skin.
He still remembered the last time he had held them like this. Three days after they were born Magda had come down with a fever. Three days after that she was dead, not even the hospital was sure what had happened. Erik still could feel as both newborns were in his arms fast asleep unbeknownst about their mother in pain and agony next to them. He could still feel the tears as he watched the doctors rush in to try and save her. The numbness when it was all over and when the sun rose. He still felt the pain, sometimes as if it were happening all over again.
That was the first time the twins had lost their parents. Erik knew he changed after that, he always knew he would. Now sitting here holding the twins he realized they never even knew that they had lost their parents before. For them this was the first time they had experienced this, pain that lasts for a life time. Erik had given them up so they wouldn't have to experience this in the event he got into some trouble he couldn't simply solve with magnetism. Ironically that didn't save them. The act meant to save them and let them be children had failed.
So what was stopping him from taking them home? Living a quiet life somewhere? Erik knew the answer, he was afraid. Afraid to loose again. He knew that if he knew them, and then lost them things would go bad very fast. He didn't want that, Magda, his mother, anyone who had loved him, didn't want that. The anger and rage he held would explode, and Erik knew that if he were to explode the world might not be around anymore.
Peitro stirred a bit, and Erik looked down to make sure he was still asleep. Both twins looked a lot like their mother. They had inherited the dark brown hair and the same shaped nose. Peitro's eyes were just like Magda's. Wandas eyes were like his own, as well as her personality. Erik feared for her, not about what had happened but rather what would happen and what events might set her down an even darker path than the one she walked.
Erik sighed, exhausted from finding his way to the small country. He had seen the news, the several city blocks leveled by bombs. Thousands dead by the estimates and thousands more injured. He had come as fast as he could, unfortunately he feared he was not fast enough.
He pulled both twins in closer to him, in the hopes that his body heat would be able to keep them alive for the next few hours. Neither one seemed to mind or maybe they were to tired to even care. For a second Erik could imagine that they were at the little home he and Magda had bought, sitting in the room with the skylight watching the stars. But they weren't and they never would. Erik placed a small kiss on the top of each twins head before drifting off to sleep himself.
Hours later he was woken by the flashlight of a Red Cross worker. Erik wasn't expecting them to have shown up, but it was for all the better considering the twins had to go back into normal society. Although most people would write the story of him floating the three of them in the air down to the ground as the overactive imagination of a child.
The volunteer that had climbed over the building started speaking Sokovian. Erik could barely understand them, and neither twin was up, "Ich spreche Deustch." Erik said without thinking.
"Um." The young woman said, "Do you speak English?"
Erik chuckled, "Yes I speak English."
"Are you hurt? Are either of your kids hurt?" She asked, slowly trying to remember the right sounds to say.
"No. The kids need food and water though." Erik said softly looking at the twins. They looked worse than they had previously, something Erik attributed to the lack of light at night.
"You are fine?" She asked confused.
"Yes, I'm a friend to their family." Erik said.
"You were not here when the bombs dropped then?"
"No." Erik said.
"Can you carry them?" The woman asked signaling some people at the bottom of the building.
"Yes." Erik said, "One at a time though." The woman nodded at him and Erik stood up sliding Peitro to lie on the bed while scooping Wanda in his arms. Erik nodded at the young woman and she helped direct him to the edge of the building where there was a makeshift rope ladder. Erik took hold of the ladder with one hand holding tight onto Wanda. Erik climbed down carefully trying to protect Wanda from the wind blowing snow and ash their way. Erik made it down and placed Wanda on a makeshift bed in the back of a pickup truck. Erik repeated the same thing with Peitro nearly falling a couple times due to the wind.
Erik placed Peitro next to his sister and looked at the two of them sleeping peacefully next to each other. He sighed knowing what had to come next. He didn't have the heart to wake them up, they needed their sleep. "Don't loose each other." He started to whisper to them "Don't let anyone push you down. Stand up for one another and stick together. The world is hard and cruel, having someone by your side will soften the blows. I wish I did. Don't forget who you are either, don't loose yourselves to the pain and rage. Just remember who you are and you'll be fine."
Erik stood up and looked at the young woman who had climbed down after him. "Can I trust you'll get them somewhere safe?"
"You are not taking them?" She asked confused.
"No." Erik felt his voice crack, "I can't." The woman nodded at him and the small band of volunteers packed up the area. Their sweep had yielded no one except the twins and there was no reason for them to stay in the area. Erik watched as they climbed in the back of the truck protecting his kids. He watched as the trails of exhaust disappeared off into the distance. That was it he knew, he was lucky to even get this chance. For the second time in his life Erik Lehnsherr had abandoned his children, and this time he was even less sure of his decision. But now it was over, he would never see them again, and he knew that was for the best.

Erik Lensherr has been 'fighting for mutant rights' for the last couple years.

Everybody talks about how great an Avengers reality TV show would be, and I totally agree, but what about an X-Men reality TV show? Like, Charles allows a TV crew to come and record around the school so more kids want to go, and it all goes to complete shit. Like, imagine what they all would be doing
Peter-
He’d be annoying as he possibly could, and prank literally everyone. He’d try to make it look like the worst possible place you could go to. Sometimes Warren would get in on his pranks, unless Kurt found out and forced him out of it. He’d constantly annoy Scott to the point of Scott being completely ready to murder him, and would skip out on all of his chores. They try to get him to stop going on camera, but this little bitch always finds a way. He is super immature, but can act serious if needed. He’d make a bunch of shitty references and play video games all the time. When someone is talking, you can almost always see him doing Fortnite dances in the back for no reason but his own amusement. He plays a bunch of old songs, and is always blasting them, in the middle of the night. Scott almost throws his speakers out the window multiple times. He also has a record player- and he usually plays Queen or some shit. The show has almost gotten copyrighted so many times because of him.
Scott-
Tries to make the school look perfect. Talks about the academics, the clubs, and how everyone is welcome. In a lot of angles, you can see him quietly studying in the background. He introduces the newer kids to the camera crew, and the crew follow him around as he shows them around the school. He’s completely done with Peter’s bullshit. The crew has witnessed him try to laser Peter multiple times, but he only does it because he knows Peter can quickly dodge it. He’s often the subject of Peter’s pranks. Tries to make it look like they live in a safe environment, five minutes later the kitchen and common room are both up in flames, Ororo is trying to put them out with her powers, Jean happens to be the one who started them after Peter pissed her off, Peter’s running around because somehow his jacket caught on fire, Jubilee is bawling her eyes out, Warren is pissing himself laughing, and Kurt’s no where to be seen. He has teleported all the way to Guatemala. He is starting a new life there. He can no longer deal with the constant fear he has living there. Scott is just 320% disappointed with his friends antics.
Jean-
It takes the camera crew a while to find her, sometimes. She tries not to be on it a lot. She usually hides out in the back of the library, studying. She can also be found hanging out with the group, one of the only times she seems content when they film her. She also tries to help a bit with Scott’s cause, that the school is great, but often finds herself listing the shitty parts instead. She sets stuff on fire because of Peter a lot, and is quick to apologize after, begging for forgiveness. She can also be found at the archery range, but they decide not to bother her, as she seems happy and calm and not stressed for once. She’s usually the calmest one, except for one she gets really pissed. Everyone goes to her for advice, and she’s actually insanely trustworthy with information (Well, she has been hearing everyone’s secrets her whole life).
Kurt-
Literally has no idea what is happening. 110% confused he just wants peace and quiet. He was surprised the first time he watched a TV show, and now they’re suddenly in one? And there’s no script? What is he supposed to say?! He goes to Jean for help because he’s kind of embarrassed that he doesn’t get it. Even after getting advice, he’s still really confused. Almost every time the camera lands on him, he teleports away because he’s scared of screwing it up. Warren tries to assure him he’s fine, but he’s still scared as hell. Sometimes the camera crew catch him reacting to things he’s never seen before because of the circus. Jubilee usually is the one introducing him to them. Oh, him and Jubilee watch the Bachelor together. The camera crew find him sleeping all the time. Doesn’t matter where. He is asleep. They do not bother him. The simply get a quick shot, and move on. He’s just an oblivious adorable dork who needs help around things.
Warren-
Having the time of his life. He loves the cameras, because he can say things the whole world can hear. Has criticized his dad multiple times on camera, hoping he would hear it. He gets in on Peter’s pranks a lot and loves pissing people off. He honestly does not give a fuck if people are mad at him because he holds his own opinions. They catch him drunk multiple times, and it’s always fucking hilarious. The flying shots they get of him are pretty cool, too. He’s, surprisingly, apologized on the show about the Apocalypse situation. Acts protective of Kurt, and is almost always seen with him. Warren and Peter hold a love-hate relationship. They make fun of each other a lot, but, they’re kind of best friends. They tell each other almost everything. They’ve been caught smoking on the roof and talking before, and Warren calls him his birth name to annoy him. Warren’s wings are super fluffy, and the whole group seems to think so, because they’re always all up on them. He was caught red-handed one night when they found him with a bunch of conditioner, bringing the entire bag into the bathroom to shower with. He had to admit it then and there- he conditions them in fear of anyone getting hurt because of them. He acts bitchy, but he cares. He was lucky enough to earn their trust in the first place, in his opinion.
Ororo-
She often talks about serious issues on camera, because she finally has the platform to do so. The camera crew comes with her to Black Lives Matter and feminism events. She protests often, and people start to recognize her at the protests because of the show. She sometimes disappears for days to weeks, confusing everyone when she comes back with a group of new mutants. “Found them, adopted them,” Is her only response when questioned. She can be insanely hilarious at times. When she’s super upset, she’ll make it storm for days and lock herself away in her room. One time they recorded her decking a guy for catcalling her, even after she said to go away. Her hair is constantly changing, and nobody knows how. She’ll not leave the mansion at all and one moment she has this hair style, the next she’ll have a different one.
Jubilee-
Literally ecstatic about the cameras. Bubbly the whole time, she’ll bounce around and show the camera’s her favorite areas of the school. She rants about the most random shit on camera, and at random times will shout herself out. ‘Follow me on Instagram @-’ ‘My Twitter is-’. She’ll talk about her favorite shows and her dreams and such, and she’s just really pure the whole time. An absolute queen. She lets the camera crew record one of her girl nights with Jean and Ororo. Most expect it to be super cliche, with facemasks on while they paint each other’s nails. But- but no. They’re pranking everyone. Scott automatically believes it to be Peter, meanwhile the trio is climbing in the vents over him. Everyone in the mansion is surprised after seeing the episode, and Peter has a smug look on his face when Scott apologizes for getting pissed at him.
Wade-
Nobody knows how the fuck this dude is getting into the mansion. He literally should not be there. He keeps sneaking in and talking about shit that no one understands. ‘Wow, a TV show in a movie franchise?!’ They try to kick him out, but he keeps coming back somehow. He is everywhere. There is no stopping him. Starts paintball fights in the corridors and where the hell did he get all of these paintball guns?! They’ve tried every single thing they could, but, Wade is there to stay. Only a few people have actually seen his face since he’s always wearing that damned mask.
Charles-
A tired Mom™ . Regrets the show a few weeks in, but he can’t stop now. There’s a fan base. A fan base! And so many more young mutants have been registering to get in! Talks about mental health a lot, and how they can offer therapy sessions at the school. Tries to stop all of the shit that happens, but never can. He just needs a fucking break for Heaven’s sake. Get this man a vacation, stat! Actually very proud of all the kids, though. For everything they’ve done. They aren’t scared to talk about issues that need to be talked about, and, that makes his heart swell a bit each time.
Erik-
Not there half the time. When he is, he’s hanging out with Charles or scolding Peter. The kids call him Dadneto on camera, and he pretends to hate it. Also, trains the kids, a lot. Talks about how mutants should be viewed as equals (Charles wont let him start with his usual ‘Homo-Surpremacy!’ monologuing. So, he sticks with equality instead.) Makes an apology video apologizing for every time he’s tried to end humanity. Only there to support Charles, honestly.

Peter, I Am Your Father by Queen_Valkyrie, Words: 5576 (COMPLETE) Peter Maximoff knows he should tell Magneto, big-bad-but-not-that-bad-all-the-time-I-can-sense-there-is-good-in-him-Charles-always-insists-terrorist-guy, that he's Peter's father. But it's painfully difficult to bring himself to do so.
A Knife In The Gut by Queen_Valkyrie, Words: 3081 (COMPLETE) - sequel to Peter, I Am Your Father "Every smile Peter warily offered him, every joke made at his expense, every midnight conversation pained him like a knife twisting in his gut." After Erik finds out the truth about the young man who once helped break him out of the Pentagon, he tries to connect with his son. Things don't exactly go according to plan.
That Whole Father/Son Thing by mysterytour, Words: 3054 (COMPLETE) Part of Erik doesn’t wasn’t to climb out of the well of depression and live in the world without Nina and Magda. How can he smile or laugh again when they can never smile or laugh ever again? He feels like ash caught in the chimney stacks. Everything is exhausting. Peter and Erik bond over food. Erik and Jean bond over tomato plants. Jean and Peter bond over prog rock.
Bad With Names by Cyane, Words:1469 (COMPLETE) Erik sighed. "Pietro-"He froze. Jesus Christ, did he just call him Pietro?!
The Day will Dawn by Cyane, Words: 11227 (COMPLETE) Four times someone else was there for Peter, and the one time Erik was.
We Live in a Beautiful World by Cyane, Words: 8405 (COMPLETE) His heart was screaming at him, telling him that he couldn't save all those people. He couldn't save his precious Nina, he couldn't save his lovely wife. He couldn't save any of them- he didn't. He lost that chance. What remained of his family was dead. Everyone. But he had the chance to save Peter.
The Five Times Peter Called Him Dad, And The One Time He Meant It by thecattydddy, Words: 5183 (COMPLETE) Peter Maximoff has known that Erik is his dad for a while now, but knowing something and admitting something are two very different thing.Classic Exactly What It Says on the Tin.
Silver by thecattydddy, Words: 1609 (COMPLETE) Peter's about to die and as he stares up into the face of death, he can't help but wish they had been wrong about his father. That they had just misunderstood, but it was becoming apparent by every second ticking by that they had been right. Erik Lehnsherr - Magneto - was nothing more than a monster.
Woodstock 83 by blarfkey, Words: 7373 (COMPLETE) Peter's mouth runs just about as fast as his legs. No secret is safe from him! Except his own, apparently. The Universe hands him opportunities to confess on a silver platter and Peter just cannot freaking spit it out.
The Sun Will Shine When Morning Comes by blarfkey, Words: 5352 (COMPLETE) - SEQUEL TO WOODSTOCK 83 If Erik and Peter were a Venn diagram, their circles would not intersect. Erik thanks God every day for it. Peter has no temper. He has no rage, no tragedy. He is light where Erik is a shadow. Right now he is moaning piteously on the couch because his medicine has worn off and his headache has returned. “I’m dying,” Peter croaks. “Dad, I’m dying. I’m not gonna make it. I’m going to the spirit in the sky.” Erik rolls his eyes. There is a certain twisting in his gut, both thrilling and painful every time Peter calls him “dad.” It snags like a hook.
Jail Break by blarfkey, Words: Words:5717 (COMPLETE) It's totally normal in Suburban America for the dad to pick up his rebellious teenager from jail, right? Even when it's the Pentagon instead of the local police station, and your dad is a Mutant Supremacist Assassin and America's Most Wanted who didn't post bail so much as murdered all the guards? Whatever. Peter will take what he can get at this point, even if it means the most painfully awkward road trip in the history of the universe.
Two Lonely Souls In A Fish Bowl by blarfkey, Words: 14033 (COMPLETE) - SEQUEL TO JAIL BREAK There are tons of fun activities in Peter’s new life at Westchester. You know, like the never ending cleaning and dusting of all four floors of that gigantic mansion, trying to arrange Charles’ old clothes into outfits that wouldn’t get Peter’s ass kicked in a theoretical high school, getting home-schooled by a genius telepath who always knows when Peter cheats, and Peter’s favorite: midnight visits from his crazy terrorist father who may not be as awful or crazy as Peter thought.
Clowns to the Left of Me, Jokers to the Right by blarfkey, Words: 15735 (COMPLETE) - SEQUEL TO JAIL BREAK & TWO LONELY SOULS IN A FISH BOWL “Look man,” Peter says, “you don’t wanna fuck with me, ‘kay? My – my dad’s gonna find me, he’s gonna kick your ass. He’ll kill everyone in the building. He’s fuckin’ nuts.” The Man smirks. “Aren’t you a little old to be depending on your old man to save you?” Before Peter can give a witty retort, The Man pats his cheek and leaves. No one is going to come for him. He is going to die here. Alone.
Shine On You Crazy Diamon by blarfkey, Words: 24335 (COMPLETE) - SEQUEL TO JAIL BREAK & TWO LONELY SOULS IN A FISH BOWL & CLOWNS TO THE LEFT OF ME, JOKERS TO THE RIGHT Five years later, Peter has gotten his college degree and settled into life as a P.E. teacher at Charles' school. He's got his whole routine mapped out: combat training with Erik and Raven in the mornings, running the Baby Mutants ragged on the field until they start planning his assassination in the afternoons, mixed in with calling Hank every variation of "nerd" American slang can provide and staring at Raven's butt when she's too busy to kick him in the throat. After all the crazy shit he's had to go through, he finds comfort in this new-found stability, even if it means he's officially a Boring Adult who shops for prunes and wheat bread. And then Wanda blows up a car.
Luke, I am your father! by PalauMaggot, Words: 2365 (COMPLETE) Okay seriously. He could have done so much better than that. Facing off with his father who gave him the best line to come clean about being related to him and he goes and says, ‘I’m here for family too.’ Yeah it’s serious and the truth and vague and everything else but come on. The guy had his wife and only child (that he knew about) killed in front of him. So he guessed that springing the whole “You have a son!” on him during the ending of the world probably would have done more harm than good. Erik might have thought they were trying to manipulate him or something. OR: How Peter tells Erik that he's sort of his long lost son.
Like Father, Like Son by leahx, Words: 4191 (COMPLETE) Peter Maximoff might not have his father's name, but evidently, he has more than enough of the infamous Lehnsherr genes, including the ones that will one day be responsible for Charles' inevitable breakdown. Or the time, after the Apocalypse, when Peter screws up and accidentally ups the population of Lehnsherr/Maximoff-ville to plus one. And Charles isn't amused.
7 Tries by krispool, Words: 741 (COMPLETE) The 7 or so tries it takes Peter to talk to his father.
And from the ashes of their world, we’ll build a better one by AryYuna, Words: 25946 (COMPLETE) “She’d never really allowed herself to think about coming back to Westchester, lest she’d end up abandoning everything in exchange for the safety of that place. The mission was too important, more than her comfort, more than everything. Safety was for the others, for the dreamers like Charles, for the kids she rescued, but someone had to live in the real world so that others could hide – her brother, Erik, Hank.” Apocalypse has destroyed everything, but they can repair it. Together.
Late Again by Bravo_48, Words: 70931 (COMPLETE) The "Apocalypse Incident" has taken its toll on Erik Lehnsherr as the aftermath of the battle has left him hollow and lost on what to do with his life. He's been from a wanted terrorist to playing the role of a henchmen to a god, but nothing felt as important to him as being a father, but even that ended with tragedy. Bless Charles' heart of gold for helping him piece himself together, but he still feels so lost........ Peter Maximoff has always lived for the thrill (and speed) of life, but that doesn't mean he can always handle it. It took him a week for his brain to register that "Magneto" was his father and a month to fully accept it. The guy didn't seem so bad. Without Erik, Peter would have never found out how to break into highly secured prisons or how great it is to be an X-Men! Too bad Erik doesn't know how much of an impact he created in Peter's life... Funny part is that even with his ludicrous speed, Peter always seems too late to tell him so. (And always picks the worst times to try.) Especially when his life decides to turn upside-down in the process.
It’s Not So Black And White by Nishloo, Words: 6913 (STILL UPDATING) Peter Maximoff is an already complicated kid - boy turned x-men, a plethora of night terrors, and the inability to look his father in the eyes. Maximoff Triplets AU
Because I adore both MCU and X-Men, both Evan and Aaron’s portrayals of Pietro, and Dadneto. And what is timeline really where the X-Men movies are concerned now?
- Magda assumed she was just having twins at first - two healthy boys born within a minute or so of each other - but a few minutes later she feels another contraction start, and suddenly there’s a baby girl added to the little family.
- She names the boys Peter and Pietro (as they were practically born at the same time) and the girl Wanda.
- She was prepared to raise twins, but triplets...she knows that would be practically impossible, given the fact she can expect no help from her family for having kids out of wedlock. She also knows it’ll be harder to hide the babies from their father if he ever learns of them.
- So she reluctantly asks her sister, who is planning on emigrating to America soon, to look at Peter for her, explaining that if there was a way she could keep all three of them and know they will have the best life, she would do it in a heartbeat.
- Peter’s raised in America by his aunt (though he calls her ‘mom’ despite her trying to get him to do otherwise) and Pietro and Wanda are raised by Magda and eventually, her husband.
- While Peter’s navigating the world of bullies thanks to his unusual hair color, Pietro and Wanda’s lives have been destroyed with the death of their parents and forced to adapt to life on the streets.
- It is also around this time that all three triplets begin showing signs of their mutations, not that any of them know what’s happening (though Pietro and Wanda use their budding powers to aid them in surviving).
- As Peter’s entering high school (already with a few thefts under his belt), Wanda and Pietro have been approached by HYDRA about undergoing an experimental process for the sake of their country. Figuring it can’t be any worse, they agree.
- The experiments cause Pietro and Wanda’s mutations to develop fully, instead of over time. Meanwhile, after finding out about Peter’s activities, his aunt finally tells him everything she knows about what’s happening to him - how his father is a mutant, that he has two sibilngs out there, that his mother had to make the painful decision of sending one of them to America.
- Peter ends up attending (read: getting sent) to Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters, a school that specializes in and acts as a safe haven for mutants. Where he meets his biological father, who apparently co-runs the school with Professor Xavier. Not that the man has any idea, and Peter tries to figure out how to start that particular conversation, trying to ignore the Professor’s attempts at helping him (seriously, he knows the man means the best and his basically dating his dad, but being to read someone’s mind is still highly creepy)
- Meanwhile the events of Age of Ultron happen, with one HUGE exception.
- The X-Men also show up to help, and Peter basically ends up saving Pietro’s life by using his extreme to deflect each and every bullet. It’s one way to meet your long last triplet, at least.
- Pietro is slightly in awe, slightly jealous, and slightly wary of this newcomer with the same powers as his, especially when he introduces himself as ‘Peter Maximoff’, because him and Wanda had no other living family.
- After the battle, the Avengers thank the X-Men for their help, while Pietro and Wanda stare at Peter like he has three heads because holy shit, they might be related?!
- Charles takes control of the situation, suggesting everyone get some rest, recover, and that they can talk tomorrow.
- The Avengers have basically adopted Wanda and Pietro, and stubbornly insist on being there for whatever conversation. So in the living room of the Avenger’s Tower all Avengers are gathered, along with a highly uncomfortable Peter and Erik.
- Erik basically blurts out “I’m your father” the same time Peter blurts “I’m your brother”
- Naturally Wanda and Pietro don’t believe Erik, and only mildly believe Peter
- Bruce offers to do a DNA test, which everyone agrees to with various stages of reluctance
- Yep Wanda and Pietro are Erik’s kids, and Peter is apparently their long lost triplet
- “Oh lord there’s three of them” - Tony, probably
- “So does this mean I can’t adopt you two?” - Clint, being glared heavily at by Erik
- The Avengers say they’ll stick by the twins (now apparently two thirds of a set of triplets) whatever they choose.
- Erik tries to keep a mask of indifference but can’t hide his worry and fear that his other two children will reject him
- Everyone gives Wanda and Pietro space, and the two decide they’re staying with the team and becoming Avengers (because they’re a family, now, despite everything and they haven’t one for so long) but they agree to get to know Erik and Peter and maybe they can spend weekends at the mutant school to learn more about their powers?

hey!! Your fic recommendations are always elite–I was wondering if you had any kid fics, thank you <3
Hi anon. I have plenty of kid fics for you. Since you didn't quite specify what kind of kid fic you wanted I decided to divide it into fics where Charles and Erik are kids or get deaged and fics that involve kids. This is kind of a long list so I hope that there are plenty of new fics for you to read.
Cherik Kid Fic
--They are kids or get deaged--
Conspiracy of Kisses - Alaceron

Chasing After You - Alaceron
Summary: Charles isn't very good at tag. Erik helps
We’ll be the sum - afrocurl, ninemoons42
Summary: In between bouts of blanket burrito-ing and vegging out on movies, Charles and Erik figure out how they currently feel about each other.
Of course, they're schoolboys and they're on a sleepover and also Edie dotes on them both excessively, so things work out just fine.
Growing pains - ikeracity
Summary: Twelve-year-old Erik Lehnsherr is an angry, closed-off foster kid with trust issues and a bad temper. Ten-year-old Charles Xavier is a lonely kid in boarding school who just wants a friend.
Logan pretends he doesn't think they're both fucking adorable.
Valentine’s day – ikeracity
Summary: Kid fic! Erik waits impatiently all day at school to give Charles a card for Valentine's Day. Maybe Charles has something for him too...?
Now You Know You Know it Now – luninosity
Summary: Erik’s not sure why he keeps glancing at the other boy. Not as if Erik likes other kids, or other people in general, for that matter. But still—he finds himself looking. Again.
This Family Comes with Batteries - Fishwrites, lynneh
Summary: An orphaned Charles Xavier goes to live with his Godfather: Tony Stark. This story is a tale of what would have happened to the events of MCU, if Tony was raising a six year old telepath in Stark Tower. There is also the matter of Charles' robot AI manny/bodyguard/tutor/only-friend, David.
You’re Not Doing This Alone – flightinflame, Lynds
Summary: What's meant to be a simple recruitment mission leads to both Erik and Charles being de-aged back to thirteen years old. Terrified and out of their depth, the boys try to hide their situation and help each other until they can work out what is going on.
Charles Xavier, A Retelling – Extra_fried_noodles
Summary: An attempt to reverse his paralysis goes wrong, and Charles is de-aged into a 2 year old toddler. While Hank scrambles to fix the situation, the whole gang is here to help. Through a mix of selective memory, they watch Charles relive his childhood, revealing some deeply hidden and painful truths.
Protective Instinct – Groovyhornbill
Summary: Charles and Erik were testing Cerebro’s new prototype when things went very wrong.
Divergence – Lynds
Summary: Universes and timelines collide, dropping two younger versions of Charles Xavier into the midst of the hunt for Sebastian Shaw. Now the newly formed X-men have to deal with a strangely quiet and self-reliant six year old, and a sixteen year old covered in bruises.
Erik, in particular, has to accept that the man he loves hasn't had the kind, happy upbringing he wished for him. But these children are here now, and Erik's not going to let anyone hurt them this time.
--Where they have kids--
Sink or Swim – endingthemes
Rumor Has It - blueink3
Summary: "Did I hear the doorbell earlier?"
"Yeah, but I'd steer clear if I were you. It seemed a little tense. I don't know what's going on, but there's a kid out there who looks freakily like the prof."
Nearly six months after Cuba, Charles' life is turned upside down for the second time. Though he's slowly learning to adapt to the first, he's not sure he can handle the second. Luckily for him, there are a few people out there more than willing to help.
Words and Pictures – pocky_slash
Summary: When Lorna's powers manifest early, Charles Xavier's mutant picture books are the perfect teaching tool. Erik just hadn't expected the author to be so young. Or attractive. Or available.
Write this number down (you can call it anytime) – pocky_slash
Summary: When Erik upsets his children, they have a habit of running away from home--and straight to Charles' school for cookies and consolation. Charles doesn't mind the visitors, but as they appear more and more frequently, he realizes that sooner or later, he and Erik are going to have to talk about what happened on the beach and what it means for their future and the future of Erik's children.
Dress Your Family in Plaid and Skinny Jeans – cygnaut
Summary: Erik and Charles meet at the mutant playgroup/parenting support circle and they instantly hit it off. And so do their kids, Lorna and David.
Not What I was Expecting (So Much Better) – lazulisong
Summary: Erik, the single father, hires Charles, the grad student with the slightly shady past, to be his manny.
Heli Cases – Black_Betty
Summary: "Heli Cases" is a program on PBS whose aim is to educate on the rapidly increasing occurrence of genetic mutation in the general populous by breaking the complex science down into palatable, easy to digest pieces.
It is also the only thing that helps Erik get his fussy daughter to fall asleep.
(Featuring Dadneto, baby Lorna and the struggles of single fatherhood, and Charles as the host of a late night show about genetics.)
Doing Something for Yourself – Pookaseraph
Summary: Erik is a hard working engineer and single dad, Charles runs a local Community Center where Wanda and Pietro spend their time after school. Erik accidentally makes Charles' acquaintance one Wednesday evening when he's running late from work. Erik has no idea if he stands a chance with his new acquaintance, but that isn't going to keep him from falling for the guy.
A Good Dad – listerinezero
Summary: Ten years later, Magneto has left the Brotherhood and Raven asks Charles to help her find him. Charles discovers that Erik is the single father of five year old twins Wanda and Pietro, and he is doing everything he can to keep them safe from his former enemies.
Take a Chance (On Me) – Ook
Ohana – royal_chandler
Summary: Erik's children are absolute hellions. If by hellions, one means children who are incredibly protective of their new family unit and won't let a few household mishaps get in the way of keeping it together.
One Second and a Million Miles – magneto
Her Only Mutations Were Her Blue Eyes and Her Auburn Hair – Pookaseraph
Summary: While sneaking back out of Russia, Erik and Charles stumble across Anya, Erik's presumed dead daughter, and it changes quite a few little things along the way. Fluffy, self-indulgent, fix-it.
Despicably Yours – Cesare, veryorangecat
Summary: Erik Lehnsherr, AKA Magneto, is a supervillain without equal... except maybe one: Charles Xavier, AKA Professor X, AKA Erik's next door neighbor. When their competition heats up, Erik decides the only way to get ahead is to adopt four mutant orphans to infiltrate Charles's mansion.
Things don't go as planned.
The Wrong Impression – Rosawyn
Summary: Charles is trying to balance the responsibilities of his career with his responsibilities as a single father to a tiny baby. It's not something he ever thought he'd have to do, and it's not as easy as those women on the internet make it look! He does't have much of a social life (unless talking to his sister on the phone and attending a parents' class where he's the only guy count), and he doesn't even have time to think of dating. He's just trying to keep his job - and keep his son fed and healthy.
Naturally.
