As someone who really don't feel any particular way about Luke's partner (because it's not my place), I'm getting to a point where I'm getting a certain satisfaction from the fact that she clearly makes so many weirdos very miserable lmaoooo like it's gotten to a point where I'm hoping he keeps bringing Antonia everywhere so that hopefully, he frustrates the weirdos enough that they finally unstan & leave the fandom for us normal people who are here to enjoy his work. Because seriously, I'm not following what the end goal of all this is like, what do they think is gonna happen? Do they think they'll complain hard enough that Luke will finally have an epiphany and go "you know what, these strangers on the Internet are right and clearly so much better equipped at deciding what is good for me than me, so I will dump Antonia and let them tell me who I should be with" like, what do they think these constant meltdowns will achieve 😭😭😭

It's especially confusing because these people SWEAR they don't care but I just saw some on Twitter who went and researched who Antonia "stole" her Wimbledon look from. Like, I thought y'all didn't care? I thought she was irrelevant & a nobody? So how come it looks like she owns considerable real estate in your mind?? People you don't care about aren't supposed to rattle you this much, Susan 😭😭😭😭

Yes you don't have to like everything your fave does, yes you don't have to like your fave's partner if you don't want to but let's get to the other part: you also don't have to be a nasty, mean-spirited, bullying piece of shit to them. Just like you don't have to like them, you also don't have to mistreat them. And if you are struggling to know what is the appropriate way to behave towards people whom you don't care about or even dislike, here's a suggestion: shut the fuck up about them and stay out of their business. Do not go read their interviews unprovoked, do not analyse what they wear, and do not stalk them on social media. Not very hard.

Absolutely wild to me how sometimes you don't even realize the way you'd been taught to perceive things as a kid was kinda fucked up, actually, until decades later.

Example:

As a kid, I constantly lived in fear of damaging shit in my parent's house. The walls. The floors (especially the floors. The wood was beautiful. Shiny. But so easy to scratch). The cabinets.

As a sixteen-year-old, I once took my car to the dealership after work and paid a very dear sum of $250 ($10/hr cashier salary) to fix a slight scratch in the paint because I knew if my father saw it there would be hell to pay. It didn't matter that I parked far out, like I'd been taught, and someone scratched it anyway. It was my fault. I failed in my duties as a steward of my vehicle.

Every time I scratched a rim on a curb while parallel parking or got a door ding or, god forbid, didn't wash and vacuum that car every weekend, it was treated like some sort of moral failing.

Last year, when my husband and I first moved into our house, he scraped the side of our car when parking in our (Very Narrow) garage. When he told me, my first instinct was to be afraid for him. Like something terrible was going to happen to him because of this mistake. I urgently reassured him that it was okay, it was an accident, I wasn't mad. Baffled, he was like, "Yeah? I know? Like, thank you for the reassurance, but I'm only a little annoyed, I'm not upset. It's just a car." And I had to take several minutes to process that. It's...just a car.

We keep the car tidy. We maintain it. But we wash it maybe 4x a year. We only vacuum it after dirty road trips or when the dog hair starts to get annoying. It has scrapes and dings and the leather seats have stains. But that's ok. Because it's just a car.

This morning, I realized that a small rock had gotten embedded in the felt foot on one of our bar stools. Neither of us had noticed. There are now scratches on our beautiful hardwood floor. My immediate response was fear accompanied by a heavy measure of paralyzing guilt. "I'm so sorry," I told my husband, "I should have noticed. I'll figure out how to fix it, I swear. I can probably sand down that section and match the stain and--"

"Whoa, hey," he said. "It was an accident. And it's fine. Floors are going to get damaged. They're floors. We live here. There was damage in places before we even bought the house, remember? It's not a big deal. It's just a floor." Right. It's just a floor. Right.

My husband's mom is visiting and this afternoon, as I was sitting in the kitchen looking at the scratches on the floor, I offhandedly asked her if my husband had ever broken or damaged anything as a kid. "Of course," she said. Household items. A TV. A wrecked car during his teen years. I asked how she punished him.

"Why would I punish him for things like that?" she said. "They were all accidents."

Right. Of course. Right.

We were watching the glass blowing competition show on netflix because it's really cool to see those talented artists do their thing...

But I will NEVER forgive the judges for eliminating an amazing artist who's concept was that plastic hamster tubes are actually dangerous for hamsters yet they are normalized in our society so they made a beautiful glass rendition of an endless loop of colorful hamster tubes as an expression of how we can be trapped by society in a loop of behavior that is normalized but actually killing us

And the judges were like "this isnt DEEP ENOUGH" because they dont care enough about hamsters to learn and interpret the artist's statement at the level it was meant for.

They literally saw the glass renditions of colorful tubes that represent suffering and being trapped in a glossy predesigned hell and went "this is too normal and isnt saying anything important actually" Fuck them!!!!

Anyways Gemma should have won and I'm so happy to see that she didn't let it stop her amazing concept and she continued with it outside of the time constraints of the show. Fuck yes Gemma

As a trans man, I've been followed into the men's bathroom. I've had coworkers stalk me in the bathroom and report back to my manager. I've been harassed in men's bathrooms. I've been harassed in women's bathrooms (before I came out). I've almost been assaulted in public bathrooms.

"Men's bathrooms aren't policed like women's bathrooms" is straight up a fucking lie. Using the bathroom as a PASSING trans man is unsafe. Can't piss standing up? Ever heard a cis man loudly comment about you pissing sitting down in a public restroom?

Again, bathroom bills may SEEM targeted, but it hurts us all. Trying to force trans men into women's bathrooms, to cut them off from men's restrooms- it does a lot of the same shit it does to trans women.

Except now no one wants to consider this. At most even other trans guys will make the joke "oh so you want a big hairy buff trans man going to the women's shitter?" No. Actually. They WANT more of a reason to beat me into the tile floor. These laws are used to make that easy to sweep under the rug.

Not telling y'all that you should be able to identify AI slop (but it is a valuable skill, you totes should), but if you're to be accusing artists of being AI left and right at least go and do your homework, or at least do the bare minimum and use AI identification tools like Hive Moderation, so you 1- don't ruin someone's lifehood 2- don't make a clown out of yourself maybe

Like, i get it, AI slop and "AI artists" pretending to be genuine is getting harder and harder to identify, but just accusing someone out of the blue and calling it a day doesn't make it any better.

The AI clowns shifted to styles that have less "tells" and the AI arts are becoming better. Yeah, it sucks ass.

As far as i can tell and as far as any tool i've used, the Artist didn't use AI. which leads to the next one:

they accused the artist of this one of using Ai. the name of this artist is Nestor Ossandon.

He as already been FALSELY ACCUSED of using AI, because he drew a HAND THAT LOOKED A LITTLE WEIRD, which caused a statement from D&D Beyond, confirming that no AI has been used.

Not to repeat mysef, they're accusing the art above, that is by Nestor, to have used Ai.

REAL artists are not machines. And just like the AI slop, we are not perfect and we make mistakes. The hands we draw have wonky fingers sometimes. The folds we draw are weird. But we are REAL. We are real people. And hey, some of our "mistakes" sometimes are CHOICES. Artistic choices are a thing yo.

If you're to accuse someone of using Ai, i know it's getting hard to identify. But come on. At least do your due diligence.

Here in the UK there's a lot of weird classism tied into accents. Today accent diversity and representation in broadcasting is actively pursued but in Tintin's time there certainly was a preferred accent to have.
