I will admit that it's hard seeing Homestuck 2/Beyond Canon as anything beyond a metatextual "oh, you want more of the story? well, this is what you get for wishing there was more, everybody you liked is miserable or awful now" directed at its predecessor's audience, at least/especially before the new team took over, but every once in a while it still does something that REALLY hits. the new [S] update was SO good

SO! Fairies feed on emotions, and different courts have different diets! The most common one is "desire". However, desires can't be harvested unless it's released from the human's body and becomes magic. The best way to do this is to have the person "Make a Wish".

This is why Fairies can't get desires from adults! Adults have a strong resistance to memory-tampering magic, which means their wishes are near impossible to grant if Fairies want to stay hidden.

After the wish is granted, the desire is removed and sent to the Big Wand. From there, desires leak out across Fairyworld, and fairies get to eat! It tastes best in the form of chocolate cake, I've heard.

okay well... this is gonna sound Bad lol. but no, and it's p much impossible to compile such a specific list bc liam doesn't really work like that. not in the way noel does. liam's love language, if we want to think about it in those terms, is quality time. he is, in the best possible sense, a little animal who lives fully and completely in the moment, without the "artifice" or distraction of planning ahead, considering his actions, or making calculated efforts. [by which i don't mean he's INCAPABLE of doing those things, only that they don't come instinctively to him in the way they might to other people.] his method of showing/experiencing love is to exist with someone, soaking in and sharing presence, talking and drinking and having a laugh. he has surely said and done so many incredibly beautiful sweet things for noel over the years, most of which never got recorded, compliments and thoughtful observations and casual little acts of affection, but it's noteworthy that the things he has said on the record, as it were, are hugely centred around noel's music--aka the thing that's most important to noel in the entire world. if we're defining "doing something sweet" as some combination of: 1) making the other person feel happy/loved/appreciated 2) INTENDING to make the other person feel that way (regardless of success lol) then basically every time liam opened his mouth about noel('s music) over the past 30+ years counts, and the list would therefore still be impossible to compile due to sheer volume.

HOWEVER, here's a little honourable mentions category <3:

Janeway’s chaotic, Chakotay likes to cause problems on purpose; their potential child would be a walking disaster. Like one day the kid finds a plasma torch and gets stars in her eyes. Chakotay gets the tool away from her faster than he’s ever done anything in his life and then he sits with his head in his hands for 30 minutes because instantly he can see his future; a life of trying to keep pretty pretty fire away from a Janeway baby.

A week later Janeway comes up to him like ‘hey, hon, I can’t believe I’m the one having to say this but you can’t teach our four-year old how to weld’

There's a reactor on youtube that called Dick the 2nd best detective in the world and someone commented this :

"LOL sorry but Dick Grayson isn't the '2nd Greatest Detective in the World', maybe top 5. I just needed a second after that cause Barry is a better detective than Dick cause he's a "professional" detective in his daily life... cause the guy who's a former cop is not apparently LOL

Dick's canonically confirmed to be second best to Bruce in detective skills. I can't say whether he or Bruce are better than Bobo (Detective Chimp) because I'm not that familiar with Bobo. Although, Dick called Bobo the world's greatest detective recently in Titans: Beast World #3.

that's a tough ask anon, I like a ton believe it or not lol. It also depends on the fandom, each fandom has so many brilliant writers in their own regard. This will also be a bit biased (hi mutuals teehee) and not on a scale because writing is something we're always improving on.

@solxamber: I really like her stories and how creative she can get with things! She started with a bang and just keeps going.

@goosewriting: They have some incredible world building and are really good at keeping things in character. Idk, I'm bad at giving reasons without sounding repetitive 😣

all times john’s left the boys alone. he did it because they needed to learn how to survive without him, how to take care of each other because one day he might leave for a hunt and not come back. he couldn’t let them rely on him too much. when sam was seven or so, dean would’ve been around eleven, john left them at a cabin in montana with a barely stocked kitchen and half a set of survival skills between them. snow piled up two feet that winter and he wasn’t sure if dean knew well enough how to start a fire. they could’ve died. john knew that. he could’ve come back to two small, lifeless bodies wrapped around each other for heat that wouldn’t stick. but he couldn’t coddle them, they needed to learn to fend for themselves. and sure enough, when he pulled up a week later, smoke was curling up out the chimney and his boys were scared and hungry but warm, rationed three cans of beans and melted snow in front of the fire for water when the pipes froze.
