Just once I would like a Peter stuck in Gotham story where Tony gets dragged along with him for the ride.

Like they drop down and Tony is like

“Not an ideal situation, good news is we’re not dead. Bad news that looked like a one way trip for us. We’ll cross that bridge when we get to it. Now we should focus on short-term goals: food, water and a place to stay, everything else can wait.”

I want Tony to be out there working his ass off from helping people with broken items then getting a job at wayne enterprises and starting a technology revolution in this dimension because he just can’t stand how out of date everything is and then running to pick up Peter from the rich kid school and the two of them trying to do reconnaissance and failing miserably.

Peter for his part is having a great time with school and his new vigilante gig.

Peter’s vigilante friends in school are worried about how bruised Peter looks sometimes and think that Tony is abusive before breaking in and just hearing Tony being a mother hen.

Then one breakout things are not looking too good and Spider-man just says

“Karen, activate Papa Protocol.”

And then like ten minutes later in comes Ironman with a bone to pick with the rouges.

Bruce doesn’t know if he loves Tony or hates him but his kids find him hilarious.

I've always found Alexander Saburov interesting, especially P1 Rubin's take on him where he tells how Alexander in incognito saved people from burning house and went unrecognized for the deed (nor flaunted it). Wonderful and easy to miss characterization.

YES saburov's fucked up sense of performing duty by putting himself at risk... my favorite... have had thoughts brewing in response to this that aren't quite cooked enough yet but it's very much a gendered standard that he holds himself to IMO, of idealized masculinity as a responsibility. as an active role and as the way things must be done. making the choices that he thinks need to be made regardless of how bad they are for him. pairing beautifully with katerina's self-destructive attempts to conform to the extremely feminine-gendered role of mistress, pairing wonderfully with the two of them's catastrophic attempt to conform to the heteropatriarchal nuclear family archetype by adopting the changeling :^) and especially how this is a function of how saburov relates to his Job, a role that's been passed down in his family and Actually Is critical to the function of the Town, inescapably so as long as the system of rulers exists

okay, so i've mainly thought about re7, but!

animals:

mia (rabbit)

chris (bear)

clancy (squirrel)

the other two sewer gators are rats maybe

rosemary (hare)

mostly, it's all the protagonists are animals because, like my other tag for it suggests it's vaguely peter rabbit inspired - so the basic concept i started with was just "hare ethan + the bakers as the farmers is a really fun idea" and then went from there!!

i'm still unsure about some animal assignments (leon, claire (bc even if she & chris are siblings i don't think a bear suits her vibes), etc). evie is a chinchilla because 1. i like chinchillas LOL and 2. i thought it would be neat :] she is still very moldy though!!

(sidenote: fun fact about this au i find interesting is that the bakers aren't cannibalistic; they just kinda decimated the local wildlife/animal population)

also yes i do!! marguerite's one of my favorites of the baker family and i treasure the nice moment we got to see of her and jack in the daughters dlc very much. i'm sad she didn't get to be more relevant tbh, she seems so sweet unmolded. i like the concept that she liked bugs even before getting infected, it's an endearing character trait to me hehe

i'm actually currently working on an (unrelated to this au) fic, a 5+1 of a basically happier timeline where evie actually gets adopted by the baker family and marguerite's part is the first section of it :)
