as i approach 100 followers and soon become tumblr famous and known across the globe i think it's high time i made an introductory post. hiii ^_^ i'm deme!! or demeter. or dante. or jack. pick your poison from the tetrad

in my free time, when im not staring blankly at whatever assignment ive been tasked with doing (and that i am promptly not doing and that i am instead merely contemplating with growing dread), i like to create! i've been brushing up on my html and javascript in the past year or two, and i made a fully fledged choose-your-own-adventure last year on my birthday! what? you want to see it? erm. no. sorry. the site is scary i need to finish the rest of it you can wait til then

i enjoy long walks on the beach i mean writing and drawing! i'm working on like. three books right now? two are on the backburner. the third one is also on the backburner but i'm trying to reel it in like a bigass fish that is trying to pull me into the ocean depths. i also enjoy drawing from time to time but i would not say i'm particularly good at actually finishing pieces. i'm definitely better at finishing drawings than i am at finishing pieces of writing.

i've combined all three of these interests of coding, writing, and drawing, into my webcomic, finality! you can read it here. as of the time of writing, it's not very long, but i have most of it planned out. as of this september, i'll have been planning it out for a whole three years. scary!

tldr a bunch of preamble, introduction and context

Heya, im Tracy, or Quantum Temporal Anomaly(depending how "Human" u want to see me atm) ive been makin drawings online for the past 7 years!!! IM OLD :D (either that or i was online far too young)

im not a master at any craft yet, but ive spec'd into Drawing(krita, photoshop,Clip Studio,paint, debatably Ibis Paint), 3D Modeling(blender), a wee bit into HTML and CSS(Brackets), 3d printing(Ender 3 and CR10), could talk about most of those at a reasonable proficiently

ive only recently got into Godot some time last year, after learning very VERY barebones Unity(and Scratch...less said about that the better) in senior year of highschool and kinda been on and off with it since. although its been more than a year since i first picked it up, in reality ive only dedicated like, a bit more than a month of days to Godot.

so im still very much a novice when it comes to godot and programming in general, but ive been slowly learning!!

so far, ive been thinkin up of a game inspired by MegaMan Network transmission/Rockman WS but with less limitations of the hardware it was made on(although now through the limitations of a dude who has no clue how to code!!), i wanna see the chip system+platforming be fulfilled to at least an image of it's fullest potential!

(also maybe ill take some stuff here and there from MMX)

we have something!!! spaghetti code, sure. could be better, absolutely. i have restarted the project from scratch like, seven times? this time ive gotten the furthest! basically ""final"" movement code+MMX Dashing, and the foundations to an actual Chip system!!

ill be making more dev logs, probably on me cleaning up some stuff so i can write out my though processes and struggles

the player script is functionally a giant 270 line mess rn BUT i know why, i didnt use composition..

i dont have much lore for this character bc rn theyre functionally a blank sleight bc i dont want to commit my actual characters to this.

PS im running Godot 3, i hate the tile mapping system in Godot 4 and idk why its like that. i heard it better for 3D games but it does suck missing out of new features..

life update!!!!

hi hello friends good morning good afternoon good evening its that time of the month again! this isnt really a big life update like the last time bcs i just thought id list down a bunch of things ive had on my mind.

first of all, im very happy to announce that i was able to watch 16 movies last march !! exciting!! i know ive said the last time that i quit the bingewatching thing but HONESTLY im in a work from home setup and the only way to keep me inspired is by watching a movie ... i am yet to find other ways to stay inspired so watching movies will just do for now... ALSO im gonna try to update my newsletter for the first time this year and itll probably be about the movies that i saw this march that i liked ! im now comfortable with turning the newsletter to be more about movies bcs nothing major has been happening in my life lol . so pls stay tuned for that newsletter post if ur interested!

another thing is ive decided to make this blog more personal! for the past year ive made this blog to be more about movies and gifs and stuff, and as much as i love getting the notes and reading ppl's tags, im going to try and make this blog work for me this time :) hope it doesnt get annoying or something... im also in the process of fixing my about pages and tags and all. ive used tumblr since 2012 so im still struggling with the setup. LIKE yes i want to maximize the fact that you can edit html pages and its cute and lets me be creative but at the same time, im on my phone majority of the time . and i dont like being on my laptop after work because ive literally just been using a laptop the whole day. for work. im rly shy to post some stuff about me (bcs i havent done it before fr insert the tom hanks dialogue from joe vs the volcano abt doing some soul searching and coming to the conclusion that hes just boring so he stops doing it) so if u see me doing it as an attempt to fix the personal pages on my blog, im sorry! AAAND as for the gifs thing, im thinking of changing my film diary tag, one thing i really enjoy is taking note of dialogues i love from a movie so i might just do screenshots. i really miss making gifs even though most of the gifs i end up with are LQ , but it just really isnt feasible now . (also some movies are just so tempting to gif LIKEEE valley girl and everytime we say goodbye 😭😭 it physically hurts me that i cant gif josh whitehouse and tom hanks in those movies....)

ALSO im really very very happy that ive gained new followers recently. i enjoy chatting with you guys and get so happy whenever i get the notif that someone sent me an ask/message!! ive been idle on stan twt/fandoms in general so its been a really long time since ive actually... talked to people... it makes me really happy talking to u and im sorry if my happiness doesnt show in my replies/posts. as i said, its been a while since ive done this and i usually go on here as soon as im off work (when my brain is semi-fried and the words are not wording anymore) . i hope i dont come across as bored/uninterested :(

general observations, differences between here and tumblr (both good and bad), and caveats under the cut

the ability to use html and css in posts is fantastic, and while i do sometimes miss being able to change the formatting with a simple highlight like on tumblr, the added abilities to customize more than makes up for that. i've only used it a bit myself, but plan to use it more going forward, and you can get some fantastic shitposts on your dash because of this. note that only posts are hyper-customizable. blogs themselves aren't as customizable as on tumblr (think the default/mobile theme here)

i think their pro-privacy, anti-algorithm, anti-numbers philosophy is admirable. it's not perfect-- funding is a continual trouble, although they have plans for making it sustainable.

as with all smaller websites, it is a bit of an echo-chamber and has its share of drama and controversy.

the fewer number of people also lead to there being fewer good posts than on here, especially if you have niche interests, but my dash is still quite active, and i have to check it at least once a day to keep up-to-date.

if you edit your original post, all reblogged versions of the post are updated as well.

it has a comprehensive cw system built into posts, more reminiscent of mastodon than tumblr. there is discourse about its use or over-use, but on the whole i think this is a big improvement.

i (thankfully) haven't run into anybody or any post that required blocking or silencing or muting yet, but the options are there and thorough.

related, there is a no-nonsense attitude towards bigotry. i havent run into any bad eggs myself, but from what i've been given to understand they are sniped more or less as soon as they're discovered. there may be moderation issues as the website expands (this is one issue where places split up into smaller groups like mastodon have benefits) but as of right now, it seems to be working just fine, and better than tumblr.

there's no general within-post search for the sake of privacy and to limit harassment opportunities, but unlike tumblr, the tag search is functional. in addition, all posts with tags you've bookmarked show up in a separate, single tab on your dash, in proper chronological, non-algo'd order, which is a good way to discover new people to follow and posts to reblog. this is similar to "your tags" on tumblr, but unlike tumblr, i trust it to work

i haven't used this yet, but sideblogs are able to comment, ask, like, follow, etc, separately. no more "follows from [main url]"

in general, i like the vibes better than pillowfort, the other tumblr replacement site, and its a much more satisfying tumblr replacement than mastodon, because, well, its not like twitter (although i do like mastodon for other reasons).

there are some odd things that differentiate it from tumblr that you have to get used to at best, and can be extremely frustrating at worst:

notes cant be viewed per-post. they're all under your notification tab, chronologically listed. this hasnt been a problem for me, but i understand that this can get messy if you have a lot of followers/notes

if you are not OP, you cannot view others' reblogs. i've found that this is mostly fine, but it does mean you cant dive into the notes to see if anyone has added anything you'd like to reblog instead of the version on your dash. changing this is one of the most requested features. it doesn't seem to conflict with the site's anti-numbers ideals as long as it only lists contentful reblogs (those with additions), so i'm hopeful it will be added.

OP is not notified of tags on reblogs. all comments that are towards OP and not towards your followers belong in the comments. unlike other things in this list, this isn't a downside so much as a neutral difference that has taken me a long time to get used to.

the comments are generally important. reblog chains are still used, but comments (replies) are more functional than they are on tumblr, with proper ability to reply in comment threads and a better UI. they are used more often on cohost than on here, especially if you want to start a convo with OP and others viewing the post. as far as i can tell, everyone can see every comment, unlike the reblogs.

photoset layouts are not as flexible as on tumblr

discovery hasn't been a big issue for me as someone who is primarily a reader/viewer (if anything, the functional tagging system and unified bookmarked tags tab makes it easier), but ive heard that for creators it can be frustrating

i am under the impression that pillowfort is the place to go for specifically fandom posting. more fandom people have been joining cohost though, especially since a bunch of tumblr people joined a couple weeks ago.

i realize this isn't exactly a hard sell, but want people to be aware of potential downsides before creating an account. despite these things, i really do urge you to check it out if youre interested! it's a good place :)

How have you been doing? I recently got a bit too BPD and now I’m in this little stage where I really wanna improve as a person, getting into self care and all that shit. It’s a bit silly, and I’m sure it’s something akin to mania, but I think it’s good for me to feel so stimulated to take care of myself! For me, it’ll get me a compliment or two from my FP and overall I’ll feel better for them. And I end up feeling good for myself so…happiness for the whole family!

i've been doing really well!! it's similar for me actually, i'm finally doing some really hard work with my therapist and it sucks but it's making me want to get better. i really do believe that it's what i'm here to do, and it feels wonderful to have a purpose again. i always say that the meaning of life is something you have to find for yourself, but i never really bothered with it. i always considered myself a lost cause. but maybe i can get out of this. maybe one day i won't feel so small and scared ... it feels wonderful to feel wonderful :]

and it is good !! even if it's just mania, it's always good to take care of yourself. i always relearn some unfortunate truths whenever i bother with self care like "i feel more like a person when i bother to shower and eat breakfast" LOLOL

overall i've been doing a lot better i think :] im finally starting to break out of the mindset i worked myself into with my ex and im feeling much better for it. i've actually had several people irl tell me that im looking visibly better completely unprompted and it catches me off gaurd every time haha

i haven't been doing much but !! im hoping to get back into the swing of things, especially with school coming up in september ... but it's gonna be the last year before college!! im a senior!! wtf!! it feels weird going into senior year at 16 but i did start kindergarten at like 4 years old so i guess it tracks /silly

right now the project i want to get back on is my neocities ... it's a total mess right now while i figure out html and css, but hopefully eventually i can make it my own !! it's very vaguely space themed right now but eventually i wanna theme it off of myself since like. all of our interests come and go but unfortunately i remain /silly .. it'll be difficult but lots of fun !! I’m sorry that you haven’t gotten the response you’ve been wanting; I just got the chance to go follow you (yippee!!!) and I also hope this answer can serve as a promo for @pamabutnormalthistime too!! 💜☺️ I put my long answer under a readmore for you!!

The Tumblr roleplay community (you might see this get referred to as the rpc!!) is really fun thing to be a part of, even if it’s daunting to join for the first time!! A lot of making a new blog is subject entirely to what you want it to have- but there are little features you can add that’ll help you organize things to your liking!!

When I started here it was my first ever time making any sort of rp blog- a lot of the beginner’s guides I found were older and spoke about processes that aren’t used as much in roleplay today!! This handy post here explains a lot of the terminology that you might see floating around- and this guide on the same blog walks you through some of the basics too!!

Your blog can be anything you want it to be! If you want it to have an aesthetic sort of theme that fits your muse (character), there are loads of custom HTML themes out there that you can apply to your blog on desktop!! But it’s also okay if you don’t add a theme too- you can let your writing speak for itself!

Some things that I found really helpful to add to this blog were a Rules post, an About post, and a small Mun section talking a bit about me!! Rules pages aren’t necessary, but they’re really helpful for setting boundaries for what sorts of things you are or aren’t okay with on your blog!! (An example is “Will/won’t respond to NSFW asks, please don’t hound for replies unless it’s been one week…") It’s a nice way to keep yourself safe, and also detail how you’ll be writing with anything that gets sent in! (And it's also a nice way for you to quickly learn about any pages you'd like to interact with!) 💜

An About post (or page) can be really helpful for detailing basic information about your muse!! If you’re writing a canon-divergent version of a character, or you have a special backstory that you’ve fleshed out, this section is a wonderful place to put it!! Having an About post can help others see how you’ve made your muse your own, and it can be really exciting to type out even small mundane facts (like height, eye color) to give your character more life!! Some roleplayers also like to include a list of verses in their About section- if you create different universes for your muse from interacting with different medias, or exploring different AUs in your character's story, it can be a nice place to keep track of them all!!

Having a section about you (the mun!!) can be helpful too, but it’s entirely based on your comfort!! A lot of roleplayers will include basic information on themselves (like age, general activity levels, etc…)

You don’t have to include a Mun section, and you’re never obligated to give out any information about yourself!! (You can always use my Mun page- or any of my other pages- as a template for your own!! I won’t mind!! 💜😊)

Once you’re happy with how your blog is formatted, you can consider making a promo for your blog!! A promo can be any post that helps advertise your blog to other roleplayers, and it doesn’t have to be complicated or anything fancy! (Here is an example of the promo I made for this blog, which is in character and pretty simple!! This is an example of a promo I made for a newer blog of mine, which keeps things short and lists off the basics of the blog! Because my rp blogs are sideblogs, me liking a thread will show my main has liked it instead of the actual rp blog- so until Tumblr allows us to change blogs before we like things, I always like to give people I’m interacting with a heads up that the random personal blog in their notifications is still me!! 😊)

A promo doesn’t have to be either of those things, though- it can be something as simple as “Like/Reblog this post if you’re interested in writing with [character]”, and it’ll still do just as fine!! One of the best things about promos is that other rp blogs can reblog them to help boost your exposure!!! (Which I can guarantee will be happening on my end!! 😌)

Something else you might want (but 100% don't have to get!!) is XKit Rewritten!! It's a plugin for your browser designed specifically for Tumblr, and has a whole host of features that you can use to customize your scrolling experience!! I use it specifically for the "Trim Reblogs" option, which lets me trim threads I've been writing with others to keep them short when they go across people's dashes!! (You might've seen some threads on my blog that seem to start with my mutual's last reply, and only feature my add on- that's the work of the trimming feature!! It cuts out all the earlier replies from the reblog, but they're still accessible!)

If you're interested, you can add it for Chrome here and for Firefox here!! (*It's super important to add XKitRewritten and not any other versions- XKitRewritten is designed specifically for the version of Tumblr we have right now, and other versions are older and might not cooperate!!)

If you notice some of the colors in my writing (such as the shade of red I use for Ellie's dialogue, or the other colors you might see in this post) are different from the default options Tumblr gives you, that's because I'm using https://roleplayformatter.carrd.co!! It's not a necessity, but I like pasting my writing in there and copying the source code to add new colors to my writing, and help me format things in one place!! (It's fun to type into, but it doesn't save your writing!! 😂 So it only gets what I'm getting ready to post when there's another copy somewhere!!)

And these are just some of the basics!! There are other things you can add if you’d really like to! (Like icons, which you might’ve seen me use on here from time to time- small pictures of your character that you can use to display their expressions and little mannerisms!! I like to think of icons as sprinkles- they’re never a necessity, and the main flavor focus is really your wonderful writing! But they can frame and accompany what you write if you’d like them to! 💜)

Assets (like the red stone border at the very top of this answer!) can be made yourself, gathered from source blogs like @animatedglittergraphics-n-more, or even requested/commissioned from resource blogs!! I make all of my assets myself in PicsArt, and it’s a lot of fun- but also something I know everyone might not have the energy or time to do!! If icons and assets aren't for you, that's okay- it's never stopped me from interacting with anyone before!!

the image scaling is real weird for mobile vs desktop and since i coded it on desktop, it looks nicer in desktop. ive been meaning to troubleshoot it by figuring out different image sizing but i havent had the time, whoops

i have a couple of "housekeeping" code that affects the whole fic and would/may/most likely affected the tiktok code layout on ao3 so i would recommend testing it out

Ive been steadily plugging away at both interactive fictions this week; writing for Lackadaisy, and coding for Asoiaf. Here's a little update for those that are curious. The projects actually have names now!

The Last Spring is my ASOIAF interactive fanfiction. You can customize your Lady's appearance, her House, her personality, and pick between three love interests (so far): Ned Stark, Stannis Baratheon and Ashara Dayne. It's set a year before Robert's Rebellion, when Mad King Aerys was still in power.

This update will add House Mormont, as well as the Playful & Disarming personality and many text changes.

If I have the energy, I'd love to add the beginning of Chapter 2 to the update as well; aka the aftermath of your outburst with the King. And! Improve the character creator now that I'm (slightly) more knowledgable. Also, hmm, whose the next love interest... ~

You can play an outdated version here. Includes House Arryn and Beesbury, and the whole first chapter. 25k+ words last I recall ?? Yes she's messy but she's my baby.

Next! Under the Devil's Moon is the Lackadaisy one. I haven't mentioned anything about the plot, so let's do a fancy summary:

1925. You work for Cecil Flynn, a ruthless high-rolling lawyer and gang-adjacent businessman based in Chicago. While not your first choice of employment, you made a deal with this devil three years ago. Since then you've turned into an excellent investment. Chicago has been your home for three years, but now your employer has decided it's time for a change of scenery: St. Louis. A wildly popular speakeasy has fallen into Mr. Flynn's crosshairs. It's a shame what you may have to do, but that's just business, isn't it?

This was another challenge for me: A way more advanced character creator (30+ options) and getting to choose which specific characters you feel platonically or romantically for (you can be aromantic and/or ace too!). Rocky and Mordecai are my focus in love interests, but I'm absolutely planning for more. Devil's Moon has a very different story structure than Last Spring, one that's more forgiving of additional love interests and time skips (my betas picked up on this quick).

So, that's the 411! I'm just proud of my progress and wanted to share. Once I pretty up the html I'll post some pictures. It's been lots of fun to learn more and challenge myself :>

For the lights on the screen I used a thin and flexible led panel from AliExpress that normally goes in stuff like rave masks and motorcycle visors, it has an app that you can use to customize whats on the screen. I used velcro to attach it because if I find a better one down the road I want to be able to upgrade xD

Venus enters Scorpio joining Mercury and the Sun already there. In fact, the Sun is on the anaretic degree of 29º and entering Sagittarius on the 21st. The house of Mars and Pluto is extremely uncomfortable to a lady who only seeks gratification, harmony and pleasure. Our relationships, our values, and financial matters will have to undergo significant transformations. The process probably already started when Venus in Libra just squared successively Pluto, Jupiter and Saturn, one after the other in less than a week. How was it for you?

You probably remember that the January 12 Saturn Pluto conjunction included also the Sun and Mercury. This means that these planets are soon about to close the cycle. We are integrating the energies of all the fateful events originated then. Hopefully, you have adjusted and adapted your life to it, but those who are still in denial, will be compelled to assimilate (read, ‘forcibly swallow’) the new reality. One cannot but accept that the ‘cold, rigid and purple corps’ means that it’s dead.

Want it or not, the unskilled or wrong decisions taken around the world to cope with the pandemic have cost millions of lives by now. Soon enough some cemeteries will be larger than towns, especially if and when people continue ignoring the elephant in the room and keep up with their ‘normal’ lives like nothing happened. Human beings are strange creatures these days.

I really hope I am wrong, but here is my prediction. Come January 10th, the Moon will conjunct the South Node and exactly square Neptune who in turn is also square the North Node. All planets will be on one side of the Nodal Axis, and we will be locked down by choice at home. Even the most reticent unbeliever will isolate.

To me, and I am really sad to say it, it is a scary chart, with Mars square Saturn and Jupiter square Uranus. Nice sweet Venus trine Mars and Uranus, but at the same time square Chiron, so, from Capricorn she’s not able to help much. Just heads up, folks! Better safe than sorry. You may think that the vaccine is a panacea, but keep in mind that scientists had to skip many safety steps in order to come up with it so soon. The testing samples are not within the regular standards when it comes to range, diversity of candidates and time. In fact, those receiving the vaccine will be part of the experiment. I’m not saying you shouldn’t get it, but that you are aware of what it means in reality. Long-term, it may work, it may not. They don’t know, we don’t know.

I’ve been wondering, why doesn’t every patient receive the apparently effective medicines that were given to the POTUS?
