Garrus: Garrus Vakarian. i am putting in lemonade because Shepard just got dumped and I can tell they will try to go hard tonight, so....

Mordin: Mordin Solus. Sprite. Team consisting of hardened military and criminal element. Lots of liquor suspected. Trying to protect liver.

Jacob: I'm Jacob. i am putting in OJ, because I am kinda scared of Shepard

Shepard: Hi, this is Shepard. it's been some long ass week, so I'm putting in some Everclear *sniffs the bottle amd recoils* *starts pouring* *assesses and pours in way more*

Jack: *flips off camera* *adds liquor*

Cut to entire squad taking a shot. Cue sputtering and shouts of "Jesus Christ!" and "Holy Everclear!!". Shepard with mild grimace pouring themselves, Zaeed and Jack another shot.

So, Rocky Horror Picture Show is one of my favorite movies. And I am currently obsessed with Mass Effect. This is what I think the Squadmates' opinions would be if Shepard put it on for everyone to watch it (many it would be their first time seeing it).

Ashley- She would say she doesn’t like it but it gives her an ✨awakening✨

Cortez- He appreciates it and likes it but isn’t a super fan. He did go to midnight showing, when he was younger.

Edi- She loves it. I think EDI would be a musical girly in general.

Garrus- He’s just kind of confused by it. He supports Shepard liking it but Hot Pootie gets stuck in his head all the time.

Grunt- He doesn’t get it but likes the vibes and violence. He would do the timewarp at parties with Shepard

Jack- She’s already seen it, she even thought about getting the Boss tattoo.

Jacob- He doesn’t really like it and is mildly concern that Shepard likes it

James- He’s an ally himbo so he loves RHPS. He’s trying to convince everyone to do a group costume next halloween, mostly because he wants an excuse to wear his gold shorts (that he already owns).

Javik- He is surprised how much he actually likes it.

Joker-He enjoys it but his favorite thing now it to put on Hot Pootie in the bridge anytime Garrus comes in to get the song stuck in his head, again.

Kaiden- He's similar to Cortez, he appreciates how RHPS helped the queer community 200 years ago but he's not a fan. He did go to the midnight showing once, in costume and learned to never again.

Kasumi- She loves a good time, and that's what RHPS is.

Legion- Understands why humans and other organics enjoy it but movies aren't super appealing to Geth.

Liara- She doesn’t get it and doesn’t like that she doesn’t get it. She ends up doing the research into the nuances of RHPS and the references. She then watches it again with her new understanding and becomes slightly obsessed with it.

Miranda- She likes it until she starts comparing the fact that she built Shepard and she becomes a bit uncomfortable.She becomes extremely uncomfortable when the others points out the similarities.

Mordin- He’s contacting his old Theater group to see if they can do a production of it.

Samara- She understands why others may like it, but it is not her cup of tea

Tali- She thinks it is fantastic! Touch-A-Touch-A-Touch-A-Touch Me is her favorite song

Thane- He loves that Shepard loves it.

Traynor- Surprisingly she's never seen it before. She really likes it and is debating buying a corset.

Wrex- He thinks it's funny. His favorite part is when they eat ✨️dinner✨️

Zaeed- He played Rocky at midnight showing one summer. It holds a special place in his heart.

Me and a friend decided "hey Kai Lang is...boring and contributes nothing really interesting other than killing ur crewmates, but like why and how?" And also "hey Jacob just kinda...is bland and doesn't really contribute anything to the plot after really his first scene and he also cheats on u how do we make this narratively interesting?" The answer get rid of Kai Lang and replace him with Jacob

Now this does mean we have to do some rewriting make it so his betrayel really hits and also that we can add some subtle foreshadowing. 1 I would make his kit based on swordfighting from the get go really just make sure that sword skill is interesting. 2 when he originally hates thane make sure there is some added scenes or dialog about them building their friendship through training. 3 make sure that him and Miranda are written to kinda really understand eachother. 4 make sure that Shepard is the one who gives him an upgraded sword

I will add more to how to make this REALLY fucking hurt later but I think this gets the general idea out there so that I can build upon it

idk how many people know of the mass effect archives (basically DA keep for mass effect), and the descriptions here got me giggling like an idiot.

some of these are based on semi-canon info, like Mordin's 1/4 scale model translating to being 6'10" at full scale, but mostly it's just based off Vibes™️

for no other reason than i worked at an ice cream shop for eight years, here's what ice cream the mass effect characters would eat

shepard: neapolitan, strawberry for their paragon side, chocolate for their renegade, vanilla to balance

garrus: moose tracks, but will pick it apart just for the peanut butter cups and give shepard the leftovers

tali: literally any booze flavored ice cream

liara: mint chocolate chip because she secretly kind've fucks with the taste of toothpaste but will never admit it out loud

kaidan: butter pecan. it's not everyone's favorite, but it's his, and he's totally cool with it

ashley: whatever the 2183 equivalent to the tonight dough. cookie dough chunks, brownie chunks, butterscotch, chocolate chips, malt chunks, everything

wrex: this man is old as balls!!!!!! rum raisin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

mordin: coffee ice cream, because he likes the taste of coffee but if he were to actually drink it he would spontaneously combust

grunt: those froyo shops that were everywhere in 2014 where you could make a bowl with like 5% froyo and 95% other toppings and it cost 14 dollars

thane: doesn't like ice cream because it reminds him of how he abandoned his child and how his wife is dead and he could never go back to the life he left behind, the life of stability, because his body is engineered for a deadly purpose and he can never atone for his sins rocky road

samara: this woman is old as balls!!!!!!!!!!!!! pistachio!!!!!!!!!!!

legion: tried vanilla ice cream. too sticky, got stuck in his wiring.

james: one of those brownie sundaes that weighs approximately 5 pounds and is majority whipped cream

traynor: something smooth and rich and velvety and inexplicably sexy, like raspberry chocolate chunk

edi: takes the idea of ice cream a little too literally and just has a bowl of heavy cream with ice cubes. is confused why everyone is disgusted.
