Slow and Steady Rush
Pairing: Jake Seresin x Reader
Song Prompt from Unclaimed Love Songs: Breathe by Faith Hill
Word Count: 100
Summary: There is peace after the storm has passed.

His fingers traced the length of your arm, circled your wrist and dragged back up to brush the hair from your neck where his lips claimed skin over and over, causing you to stir with a breathy laugh.
“What are you doing,” you asked.
You stretched your legs, arched your back and he curled in around you, arms circling your waist.
“Enjoying,” he answered.
You sank into his kiss, slow and hot, and pulled the sheets back over, hands trailing low.
The sunlight peeked through the window curtains, the world beyond the glass alive after the storm the night before.

It wasn’t on purpose. Nights when you and Jake ended up at the same bar were never planned, mostly because your friends from work always wanted to go somewhere downtown, and Jake’s friends from work always wanted to go to the Hard Deck so there was never a chance for the two groups to intersect.
Tonight, however, your friends had enough of hearing about all your nights at the Hard Deck with your fighter pilot husband who drops by work every once and a while with lunch or a gorgeous bouquet of flowers. They decided to venture out to the Hard Deck tonight for your monthly get-together and you weren’t going to miss an opportunity to ogle at your husband from across the bar while he played darts and pool with his Dagger Squad friends who just so happened to be in town visiting.
And that’s exactly where you found yourself on this lovely Friday night. Your friend walked over to your standing table with another drink for you and you thanked her with a smile. She immediately started diving into some workplace gossip, keeping her voice quiet since so many of your colleagues had managed to make it out tonight. You half-listened to her go on how bad the break room refrigerator smelled the other day but your real focus was on Jake who was playing pool with Phoenix, Fanboy, and Bob. He had Bob on his team and you were surprised to see him actually give the man a chance to play without correcting or coaching him.
You knew all about the Dagger Squad, when Jake was first sent out here you followed him, even knowing this wouldn’t be a permanent duty station, and he talked about everyone he was competing against non stop. From the moment he came home after training you were getting a full rundown of the days happening (you were sworn to secrecy of the top secret events, of course). You learned quickly who was who, even if you never got the opportunity to meet them.
After the mission, you were pulling out boxes and getting ready to move what little belongings you brought over to the island when Jake came home and surprised you to your core. He accepted a teaching position here on the North Island and you were staying for the foreseeable future.
You were shocked but over the moon. Jake would be in one spot for at least a couple years and wouldn’t be off on deployments and missions so often. You could start a family and he could actually be there for all of it.
“Hello? Anybody home?” A hand waving in front of your face brought you out of memories and a trance you hadn’t realized you were in. You laughed and smiled at your friend, but not before catching the eye of Phoenix, who totally caught you staring at Jake.
“Sorry, sorry, got a little lost there.” You waved her hand out of your face and took another sip from your drink.
“I’ll say,” she laughed, “I mean, I get it.” Her eyebrows wagged and you laughed heartily, throwing your head back. She was always complimenting your choice of husband and you had to agree with her, he was fine as hell.
“Fuck, I think one of his friends just caught me staring,” you said once the laughter died down.
“Remind me again why he doesn’t tell them about you?”
“It started off as a joke,” you start, “he wanted to see how long it would take one of them to notice, and now it’s just an ongoing bet we have.”
“A bet I am about to win, by the way.” Jake suddenly appears behind you and you’re happy to see him until his words sink in.
“You’re not allowed to interfere!” You point at him and he just laughs.
“No interference, I promise.” He leans on the table you two are standing at and you almost forget about the bet for a second because his green eyes still captivate you even after all this time.
“Well, what are you doing over here then?”
“See now, that’s where it gets interesting because someone caught you looking at me,” he tips his beer over in the direction of his friends, who scatter like chickens when you turn your head to look at them, “and they bet me $20 that I couldn’t walk over here and get your phone number.”
“Hmmm, seems like fair play to me.” Your friend interjects, looking contemplatively between you and your cheating husband.
A noise comes out of your mouth, somewhere between disbelief and betrayal. You only had one month left before the bet was yours and you could claim your prize and now this happens, the perfect opportunity falls right into Jake’s lap.
“Did none of them notice the giant ring on my finger?” You hold up your wedding rings, which glint even in the dim bar lighting and Jake takes your fingers in his hand, bending them towards himself before placing a kiss on your knuckles. You swoon. It’s impossible not to. “Don’t try to distract me, you’re in trouble.”
“Come on darlin’,” His hand fell away from yours but moved slyly around your hip, where it curled around the belt loops of your shorts, and just then, while his face was inching towards yours, your wedding song came on.
“When did this song get added to the jukebox?”
“I may have put in a special request.” His smile did you in. You met him halfway and when your lips met that familiar kaleidoscope of butterflies took flight. Jake pulled away just to smile at you some more before pressing a few quick kisses to your lips. When he backed away enough, you took the chance to look over his shoulder and see what his friends thought.
The entire group was standing around, completely gobsmacked at what just occurred and you could only imagine what was running through their minds.
“After you, Mrs. Seresin,” Jake whispered in your ear. You gave him the best glare you could but he just laughed and grabbed your hand to walk you over to the group of people you already felt like you knew.
Jake chuckled as you got within ear shot. “Everyone, I’d like you to meet someone,” he pulled you under his arm and you automatically slid your own across his back, “this is my wife.” He said it with genuine pride, a stark contrast to his usual cocky tone everyone was used to.
“Wife?” Rooster repeated, dumbfounded.
“Pick your jaw up off the floor, Bradshaw.”
You ignored Jake and introduced yourself to everyone with a quick wave. “It’s nice to finally meet you all.”
There was a beat of silence while you watched everyone process what was happening, but Phoenix broke it with a laugh. “You’ve been holding out on us, Bagman!”
“Yeah, what the hell, man!” Rooster seemed downright offended that Jake would keep such a secret from them and you couldn’t help but laugh.
“It’s not all Jake’s fault,” You come to his defense, “we had a bet going, which I just lost.”
“What bet did you two have?” Bob asked, coming forward to introduce himself to you properly.
You shook his outstretched hand, smiling. “We wanted to see how long it would take for someone to figure out he was married.”
“You… you don’t wear a wedding ring?” Rooster seemed to be having the hardest time with this revelation and it was cracking you up.
Jake pulled his dog tags out from under his shirt, proudly turning them around to display his gold wedding band that perfectly matched the one around your finger. They both belonged to his grandparents and he was so proud to give you his grandmother's band on your wedding day.
Phoenix studied the two of you for a moment, watched the way you started to sway to a song and Jake immediately joined in, watched how his attention always drifted back to you, and how his entire cocky dimenor melted away as soon as you were near.
“So, what’s the story? How did you manage to bag Hangman?” Natasha asked, leaning her hands on the pool cue in front of her.
Jake pretended to be offended. “I’m not that wild.”
You roll your eyes affectionately before diving into the story of how you and Jake met. It was nothing spectacular or anything you would want to make a movie about, but it was a whirlwind romance that ended in the two of you married in the Seresin family’s backyard three summers ago.
When you finished your story, all smiles for your husband, Rooster raised his beer in a toast. “Welcome to the family, Mrs. Seresin.”
Jake couldn’t help but smile. It felt good to let the team in on his best-kept secret, even if he was gonna pay for her losing the bet later on tonight.

Hiiii,,
Could you write something for bob? Anything. I really enjoyed ‘cry baby’ if that helps.
All the best
A/n: Hiii! I was waiting for the moment when I finally get the kick to write to Bob and this was it! I actually got a bunch of ideas, but in the end I settled for this! Hope it was worth the wait - I do plan to share other tropes for Bob as well... maybe in a Cry baby universe? ;) But for now, ENJOY!
That’s my wife

═══════☆♡☆═══════
It was crowded in Hard Deck, as it was every Friday night. Bob usually didn't mind, always staying close to his group by the pool, but today was different. All of a sudden, he felt annoyed by the pushing bodies, making it hard for him to see the entrance of the bar. Because today was not an ordinary night at the pub. Something special was happening for Robert Floyd, thanks to special someone about to make an appearance.
And just as he thought about her, he manifested her presence into the bar.
Bob would recognize his wife anywhere. Even in a totally packed Hard Deck, where he probably wouldn't be able to find his own mother. She made her way through those sweaty bodies, her 'excuse me's and 'thank you's flowing through his ears like a melody.
Bob started to look for a place to put his beer to for the time, ready to meet the girl of his dreams at the bar just like they agreed to. When he finally found a small space under the window, he heard a loud whistle. His head snapped.
"And who is this pretty lady," Hangman's voice made the whole company turn as he gazed towards the bar. "Ha, Hangman," Rooster joined him at the staring contest, nudging his ribs. "You can bet, she wouldn't go for a guy like you," he grinned, seeing Jack's shocked face. "A guy like me?" He repeated. "Then what are you? A trashcan?" He retorted, wiping the smile from Rooster's lips in a second.
Bob gulped. He followed the direction in which the two were looking.
His body froze on the spot, trying to figure out what to do. They were eyeing her. She was beautiful, as always. It was these moments, when Bob couldn't comprehend his own luck. His right hand traveled to his left, subconsciously playing with the ring on his finger. Well, shit.
"You're just worried she wouldn't go for a trashcan like you," Hangman provoked and everyone could only watch with a small smile how quickly Bradshaw took the bait. "We'll see about that," and with that, he was on his way to the center of the room, Jake Seresin right at his heels.
Bob was too stunned to do anything. Something in him started to burn, eating him from the inside, pinching every corner of his heart. But he just kept on twisting the golden ring, not noticing the questioning look Phoenix gave him. Her face twisted in surprise at first, connecting the dots pretty quick despite the silence from her best friend. But then she was right beside Bob, nudging his shoulder a little.
"Don't worry," she whispered. "She's got the same ring on her finger," Bob only managed to nod. Natasha's face brightened. "Congrats," she gave him a smile and Bob shared the enthusiasm with a small lift of the corners of his mouth. "Yeah," he said, finally picking up the courage to take a step forward. "I told her about you, although I wish this wasn't the way they meet for the first time," Natasha caught his arm in his motion.
"Hold on," she said, nodding towards the three at the bar. "I wanna see this,"
"Hey there," Rooster went all out. His huge frame surely made an entrance for him, but an additional smile and a confident greet couldn't hurt. And beside that, chicks are digging his deep voice.
Before you even got to turn around, another man was standing beside him, his smile brighter as ever. You eyed them both, with Hangman pushing Rooster to the side and stepping forward. "Is he annoying you? I can take care of him for you," Hangman cooed, not noticing your slight lean backwards, away from the two peacocks in front of you. It took you a while to recognize them, but after a few seconds, it was unmistakable who these two were. You knew them from a photo of the whole group Bob was showing you after he got back from his mission. You weren't sure if you were supposed to laugh or cry. Who would have thought you would meet like this?
☆ ☆ ☆
"That's Hangman" Bob pointed at a handsome pilot with a smile that shined with bright white teeth. "Avoid him at all cost," he looked at you, his eyes completely serious, which only made you burst into a fit of laughter. "I'm serious," he said, the corners of his mouth tugged upwards. "I can see that," you breathed, your hands travelling to his back and rubbing it reassuringly. "But noted," your kiss tickled Bob's cheek, spreading a tint of pink across his face.
"And this is?" you pointed to a tall man with a stache, his big arm hugging your husband around the shoulders. "Oh, that's Rooster," Bob's eyes softened. "And this is Nat, right?" you exclaimed, pointing at the woman hugged by Rooster from the other side. "Yeah, that's her," you two shared a smile as you watched Bob slide his fingers across the photo. "I can't wait to meet them," you said softly into the warm morning and Bob couldn't help but smile sweetly. "They mean a lot to me," he whispered back, gulping. "I know," you turned his face towards you before pecking his lips, both of you falling into a calm silence of comfort with each other.
☆ ☆ ☆
You slightley stretched upwards, trying to look past the men's broad shoulders that bumped to each other, trying to push the other out of the way. Your husband was nowhere to be seen and although you were quite enthusiastic to meet his crew, enthusiasim was pretty far from what you were feeling now. You watched the two glaring at each other and you bit back a smile. If only they knew.
"Can I buy you a drink?" Rooster pushed forward, making Hangman stumble back. "Get in line, chicken," Hangman grabbed his shoulder, forcing himself next to you instead of Rooster. "Boys, I hate to say this-" you began, your fingers falling on the ring on your left hand.
"Come on, sweetheart, let me get you something," before you could finish, you were blinded by Jake's perfect set of teeth, the photo from Bob apparently doing it injustice. "Guys-" you tried to speak up, but to no avail. "Penny, one more on me," Jake called to the woman behind the bar, who only nodded, preoccuppied with other customers. You sighed.
"Don't listen to him," Rooster touched your right hand gently, making you look at him. Ah, missed. The two completely ignored the shiny stone on your ring finger glistening in the dimmed lights of Hard Deck. You decided to let them go in this one, forcing on a straight face as they bickered with each other.
"They are all over her. Maybe I should-" Bob watched the bar, an anxiety creeping into his voice. Phoenix looked closer, noticing the crease forming between his eyebrows and the way he narrowed his eyes. His hands, unbeknownst to him, closed into fists. He was ready to shoot.
"Bob?" she grabbed him by his shoulder, grounding him. He looked at her, his brown eyes a little lost. "I've got your back," she tightened her squeez and that was all Bob needed. It was time to get his wife.
"And why shouldn't she listen to me? She obviously likes what she sees," Jake retorted, nudging you with a flirty smile. "Cause you're a casanova, Bagman," Rooster fought back. "You wouldn't smell love even if it was right under your nose," you had to pause at those words, yanking your hand from Rooster. This was going too far. Bradley looked at you in surprise, to which Hangman bursted out laughing. "You too, so it seems," he got out through heavy breaths, leaning on the bar for support. "Nice one sweetheart,"
"Speaking of love, gentlemen," a woman's voice came from behind the two competing mountains of men. They both turned to the lieutenant who grined at them. If she didn't have ears, she would be smiling all around. "Nat," you sighed in relief, recognising her immediately. "In the flesh," she grinned at you. "It's so nice finally meeting you," she said, Jake and Bradley exchanging confused looks. "Bob told me so much about you," you ignored the two, clinging to a conversation with Natasha like a tick. "Bob?!" the loud yell of both aviators brought you back to the reality. "Are you Bob's sister or some-"
"Yeah, no, I didn't have you for the types to go after married women," Nat giggled, cutting off Hangman as the two completely paled. They slowly turned towards you, their eyes falling on your left hand resting on the counter. A silence fell on the Hard Deck.
"Whose-" Rooster was the first to recover. "Mine," a bright smile blossomed on your face as you saw Bob walk from behind Natasha. "Sorry, looks like I got here first," he grinned as well before stepping in front of you. "Penny?" he called out, but he didn't have to say anything else.
That night, Hard Deck was filled with the dreading sound of a bell and if Rooster and Hangman could become more pale than they already were, they probably did. "Guys," Bob turned sround, his hand automatically traveling to your lower back. "This," he looked at you, his eyes twingkling in the warm light.
"Oh no," Hangman groaned, rubbing a hand through his face.
"Oh shit" Rooster let out.
"This is my wife,"
Your face brightened hearing the words as cheers errupted from around you - everyone ecstatic they will get a free round. And there was a lot of them. "Nice one, Bobby," Coyote and the rest joined the group, not even trying to hide their smiles. They mirrored Bob's contagious smile, the warm atmosphere spreading to everyone around. Well, to almost everyone.
"How do you want to pay?" Penny stopped by amidst pouring shots, smirking at Hangman and Rooster, both still in shock, grilled in their own embarrassment. "We-" the two looked at each other pleadingly for help from the other. "Shit," both said at the same time. "Well, lads," Payback and Fanboy patted their shoulders. "It was nice to know you," they pushed them lightly towards the door leading to the empty beach.
"I'm gonna kill you, Bagman," Rooster glared at his friend, Jake only laughing slightly. "Can you believe it? Our little Bobby found himself a wife! And I went after her!" he laughed at himself. "Yeah, cause you're a fucking idiot!" Roosters last words disappeared into the night, drowned in the laughter and chatter of the people around.
"Well, that was something," you giggled, looking back at the two men, now having it out with each other, their feet sinking in the cold sand. "You're okay? I'm sorry I didn't come sooner," Bob started to apologize but you knew how to shut him up.
"I'm okay. Better even, now that you're here," you pulled back. "And here I was, thinking that they wouldn't like me," you joked, making Bob snort as others joined you.
"Congrats, man," Fanboy hugged Bob around the shoulders, giving him a tight squeeze. "You seem like a lot of fun," Coyote laughed, pointing at you. "I sure am. If only they listened," everyone followed your motion to the entrance, "they could have had some fun too,"
Everyone laughed as you looked at your ring one more time. "But honestly, Bob, where did you find her? She's hot! Do you have siblings?" Payback had to chime in, other boys only agreeing with his statement and awaiting your answer. You only shook your head, earning a few groans from the group. "No wonder she got those two out of their minds," Natasha smirked.
"Yeah," Robert's eyes fell to the floor, suddenly feeling overwhelmed from the compliments. A sheepish smile spread on his face.
That's my wife

Tiny Red Dress
Notes: Jake "Hangman" Seresin x Fem!Reader (1.5k words)
(feel free to make requests! I need all the help I can get)
Summary: Jake asks for your help to make a girl jealous.
Warnings: None
🦋 Masterlist 🦋 Part II
Hangman needed something from you. He’d asked favors from you before—covering shifts, running errands, etc.—but none specifically because you were a woman.
“You’re a girl, right?” He asked the morning after a particularly rough night at the Hard Deck.
“Bad start, Seresin.” You had just left the locker room, hair damp and soaking into your t-shirt. He waited for you, still in his flight suit with his hair tousled from the helmet. There was no denying Jake was attractive, especially with his cheeks a little sunburnt. It sometimes felt as if he was specifically put on this Earth to test you, your own personal chiseled red apple.
“Look, PJ” he started and extinguished all your goodwill.
PJ was a call sign given to you during a particularly awkward game of 2 truths 1 lie when you revealed that after getting your pilot’s license as a teenager, you managed to swindle a bunch of rich people to pay you boatloads to fly them around California. It was supposed to stand for Private Jet but when he said it, you knew he meant Plain Jane. You heard him joke about it to the guys.
You stepped around him, making your escape down the long hallway. But he followed, singing some sob story about some poor girl who wanted nothing to do with him after a one night stand.
“Maybe you just weren’t that good,” you called behind your shoulder.
He barely acknowledged your retort except for the smirk you could clearly hear in his voice, “Oh, it was good.”
“And you just want me to bear witness?” You were leaning against your car now, in the parking lot which he had followed you to.
“Wow, PJ. I didn’t realize you were into that sort of thing.”
“I just thought you needed reliable back-up with the guys since your “unbelievable” prowess is genuinely un-believable.”
He boxed you in, hands at either side of you, with that cocky smile still plastered on his face, “I want you to help me make her jealous.”
—
“Ha!” You practically snorted as you yanked your car door open forcing him back in the process. “Good one.”
But he blocked you from closing it, arms stretched wide. Jake was close enough now that you could smell his citrus aftershave mixed with jet engine fuel. “I’m serious.”
Your lips parted in surprise.
“I asked Phoenix, but she wanted nothing to do with this.”
Every time you let him open the door a crack, he ended up slamming it in your face.
“I’ll make it worth your while.” His tone was practically salacious. You understood how this worked on people, and even though you knew better something in you wanted to keep playing with him. Not that you had much of a choice.
“How’s that?”
“You’ll get the male attention I’m sure you’ve been sorely lacking.”
“Bye, Jake!” You tried pulling your door shut but he prevented you, again.
“Wait, wait!” He sighed, “Come on, I’ll do anything.”
You cocked a brow, “You handy with a drill?”
The following evening you received a text from Hangman: meet me at the bar in an hour.
And then another immediately following: wear something hot.
You had half a mind to show up in your sweats but as you looked around your newly bought condo with all your artwork and photographs sitting in their frames against the wall, you thought better of it. You wanted that gallery wall so badly and had been collecting the pieces for it for years but it was such an undertaking to actually execute. But now, you could just get idiot to do it for you.
.
The Hard Deck was in full swing when Hangman arrived, making a beeline for the pool tables in the back corner where Rooster and Coyote were mid game.
It was still early, he arrived about twenty minutes before you were supposed to, but Daniela was already there, commanding the bar.
It wasn’t often that Jake wanted more from his hook-ups but she was smoking hot and they had a great time together and it’s not like he wanted more more… She didn’t flat out refuse him either, just kind of dismissed him, and he needed a way to regain some of the power.
He wouldn’t have asked you if he had any other options. It’s not that he thought less of you per se, he had just never really thought of you like that at all. You were one of his teammates, nothing more.
Jake forced himself to stop staring at Daniela, focusing instead on heckling Rooster. He liked Daniela, maybe. He liked the way she seemed to suck up all the attention in the room, how wonderful it felt when she chose to direct it towards him, and did he mention the sex was really good?
“Did you get Phoenix to go along with your plan?” Bob asked, sipping around the paper umbrella in his drink.
“No,” Jake sniffed. “I got PJ.”
The guys exchanged a look, one that he couldn’t decipher. So, never one to shy away from confrontation, he asked them.
“Are you sure you’re ready for that?”
Jake rolled his eyes; Rooster was always so sincere. “Ready for what?”
“I don’t know…”
“That.” Jake followed Bob’s gaze to find you in the tiniest red dress he had ever seen and he could’ve sworn his heart stopped.
.
You took an acting class in college and could totally do this. You straightened your spine, refrained from pulling on the hem of the dress that had been in the back of your closet for god knows how long, and mouthed “is that her?” to Jake across the bar.
He and the guys stood in a line staring at you, mouths agape, nodding. You couldn’t help the thrill that ran through you.
Getting into character, you flipped your hair and slipped through the crowd that seemed to gather around this girl and sat next to her at the bar. Even Penny did a double take at the sight of you.
You needed a way to get this girl to notice you and took the opportunity when Penny set down a bright red drink in front of her.
You leaned forward slightly, pointing at it with the brightest most genuine smile you could muster, “That looks so good! What is it?”
“A Dirty Shirley!” She said and slid it in front of you to try. You’d had one before of course but took a sip anyways and exuberantly asked for one also.
When you spun on your stool, you saw the boys in the exact same position and gestured for Hangman to get his ass over to you already. You wanted to get this over with as quickly as possible. And he did, within three strides he was all over you.
You spread your thighs, leaning back against the bar, and pulled him by the shirt between them—only enjoying his wide-eyed look a little bit.
“Hi,” he breathed, hand ghosting over the bare space above your knee before you pushed it down to your skin.
“Did you miss me?”
.
Jake could feel his palms sweat but didn’t want to take his hands off you. For a guy who usually had too much to say, he sure couldn’t think of anything now. You were waiting for his response. “Yeah, of course,” he said but it came out all weird.
How did he not know? How did he not see it? See you?
He needed to say something. “You’re—“
“Meet me in the bathroom,” you said, loud enough Daniela to hear you. Shit, Daniela. But then you scooted around him, body pressed right up to his, and she completely disappeared again. He followed you to the dark hallway that led to the restrooms in a trance.
“That oughta do it.” You said, checking your phone with complete indifference.
“Y/N,” he spoke softly. “I—“
“Yeah, you’re welcome.” You peeked at your phone again. “Okay, Bob says she’s looking in our direction.”
Jake couldn’t help but smile at how giddy you looked outlining the next steps of your plan.
“—then just say something like…” You made your voice all deep in imitation of him, “‘wouldn’t be fair cause I would just be thinking of you’ or whatever dumb shit you say.”
He laughed.
“You ready?” You asked.
He tried to think of a way to get you to stay, to let him put his hands on your waist, “Wait, how are you getting home?”
You waved him off, “I drove,” and he had no choice but to follow you back out into the crowd.
You were stomping a bit, in a huff, and spun like a swivel back at him.
“Bastard!” You shrieked and slapped him, hard. When the bar went quiet, you winked whispering that you would see him at your place tomorrow. And he, like the rest of the Hard Deck, watched you leave.
The bar returned to normal but he was still watching the door.
Seemingly sick of waiting, Daniela came up to him first. “Hey, Jakey.”
“Hey.” He responded.
Daniela directed him to look at her with her perfectly manicured fingernail. “Do you want to come home with me, baby?”
And, to his own surprise, he really didn’t.

Love You A Little Bit
Summary: Jake Seresin doesn’t say ‘I love you’ easily, but he lives it.
Warnings/Genres/Troupes: fluff.
W/C: 808
Pairing: Jake Seresin x fem!reader (you - no descriptions of body type or ethnicity).
Notes: inspired by Love You A Little Bit by Tanner Adell.
Beta(s): @deanwinchesterswitch - and as always she saved me from myself. Any mistakes belong to me.
Graphics: divider made by @writercole // title card made by me.
Master Lists: Jake 'Hangman' Seresin // Main
Jake Seresin has a way of making you crazy.
Not the painful kind of crazy, not the stormy uncertainty of guessing where you stand or doubting if his heart is in it. No, Jake drives you the other kind of crazy, the dizzy, giddy, off-balance kind. The kind where one wink from across the tarmac can short-circuit your brain. The kind where he steals your oversized hoodie, wears it around base like a trophy, and somehow makes you smile even as you threaten to punch him because when you ask for it back, he just smirks and claims he lost it.
It’s silly. It’s maddening. It’s warm and loud and bright. It feels like being seventeen again, like falling in love for the first time with someone who makes every day feel fresh and brand new.
“You left this in my truck,” Jake says, sliding up beside you at the Hard Deck, holding up the hoodie like he’s presenting a lost puppy.
“Sure you didn’t steal it again?”
He grins but sounds serious. “I’d never.”
With a scoff, you take it from him and toss it over your shoulder. “You lie with a straight face way too easily.”
“That’s Navy training, sweetheart,” he says. “Also, don’t act like you didn’t leave it on purpose. Felt like you were hugging me all day, and my truck smells like you now.”
Your cheeks warm, but you give him your best deadpan look. “You’re lucky I like you.”
Making your way over to the group, Jake falls in step beside you, smugly proclaiming, “Oh, I’m very lucky,” but the way his fingers brush your hand as you walk is anything but smug.
The truth is, Jake Seresin doesn’t say ‘I love you’ easily, but he lives it. He loves hard and shows it in his own ridiculous, obnoxiously endearing, unexpected way. He leaves notes in your locker with dumb pickup lines - “Are you a no-fly zone? Because I’d risk it anyway.” He buys you coffee after your early flights. On warm Friday nights, parked up at your spot overlooking the water, he taps the beat of whatever country song is playing on the steering wheel, then turns and sings like every lyric is written about you and he means every word.
And yeah, he drives you a little bit insane.
Just like earlier that day, he flew too close during a training exercise just to make you laugh. You were ready to chew him out when he landed, but then he pulled off his helmet, hair all tousled, sporting that damn cocky smile.
“Admit it,” he’d said, voice low and teasing. “That was hot.”
While you didn't deny it, you most definitely did not admit to it.
Setting the hoodie over the back of a chair, Jake bumps his shoulder gently against yours. “Wanna dance?”
You give him a side-eye glance. “Trying to distract me from the fact you challenged me to a game of pool?”
“I’ll let you win for a weekif you dance with me,” He promises, extending his hand.
Brow arched, you challenge him. “Let me win. Since when do...”
Jake prevents you from finishing the retort with a firm and sudden kiss that melts into soft and passionate. His fingertips run down your arm, a soft caress that leaves goosebumps in its wake. He laces your fingers with his and pulls back. “Dance with me.”
The song on the jukebox changes as he leads you onto the middle of the floor, something slow, threaded with a guitar, that matches the sway of the waves outside.
Wrapping his arms around your waist, he pulls you close while your arms loop around his neck. The two of you fit together like jigsaw pieces.
His soft lips close to your ear, his warm breath tickles when he murmurs your name.
“Hmm,” you reply, lost in the movement of your bodies pressed together.
“I think I kinda, might, sorta... love you a little bit,” he whispers.
It isn’t picture perfect. A regular Tuesday, dim lights and jukebox static, nothing special. Still, you never know when the moment will become the moment until you’re right in the middle of it.
You smile, making sure he can feel it against his cheek. “Just a little?”
“Well...” Jake leans back to look at you, deep green eyes, warm and steady, filled with a tenderness that makes your breath catch. “...a little more than that.”
Heart fluttering, you take a deep breath to keep it from skipping a beat or two and whisper, “I love you,” and press a gentle kiss to his lips. “Kinda, sorta, like just a little bit more than that, too.”
Jake Seresin is a lot of things, reckless, relentless, ridiculously charming, and cocky, but when he loves, he loves with whole damn heart and he's given it to you.

But Daddy I Love Him | J.H.S
Summary: You finally tell your dad and Rooster about your secret relationship with Hangman. Content Warnings: Secret relationship, mentions of food/eating Lyric: "Now I'm dancing with my dress in the sun, and even my daddy just loves him." Pairing: Jake "Hangman" Seresin x Mav's daughter reader
Buy me a coffee
“I know you like to get involved with what I do for work, but I need you to stay away from Hangman, got it?” Your dad had asked you one night over dinner.
“Why? What’s wrong with Hangman?”
“He’s an asshole, that’s what’s wrong with him,” Bradley said.
“Yeah, okay.”
You just couldn’t stay away. The first time that Hangman got you by yourself was on the patio of The Hard Deck. Everyone was too busy inside to worry about what was going on so close to the water. He did a pretty good job of chatting you up and getting your number before you went inside because your dad was getting worried about you. That was months ago, and you and Jake had done a pretty good job of keeping your relationship a secret so far. You had a few close calls but nothing too serious, mainly just Payback and Fanboy catching you hugging or being too close to each other for “acquaintances”. They definitely knew, but Jake scared them into not telling Mav.
Both of you knew what you wanted out of this relationship. You wanted to marry each other but there were a few things you needed to do first. The most important being that your dad had to know about the relationship, even if he’d be unhappy about it. That was the most nerve wracking part, since he was the one who told you to stay away from the Dagger Squad, Hangman in particular.
“You should come by for dinner tonight,” your dad had told you over a phone call while you were sitting on your couch with Jake. Jake quickly shook his head and you had to stifle a laugh.
“I actually have plans with some college friends who are in town,” you lied.
”Oh, which friends?”
”Just some friends from the tennis club that I was in. I don’t think I talked about it that much with you.”
”Oh, okay. Well, have fun.”
”Thanks. Oh, I’ve been meaning to tell you that I’ve been seeing someone. He wants to meet you and Penny. Let’s schedule a dinner at my apartment some time in the next few weeks. How does that sound?”
By the end of the phone call, you had dinner scheduled and had told your dad a little bit about your new boyfriend. He didn’t know that it was Hangman, and if he had somehow figured it out, it wasn’t obvious. You spent the rest of the night with Jake, mainly relaxing and watching movies on the couch. As you both climbed in to your bed, you talked about telling everyone else.
“Let’s tell Bradley on the same day as dinner with my dad. Actually, we’ll call and tell him after. I don’t want him to let it slip to my dad before we get a chance to say anything.”
The next couple of weeks flew by, and there were only a few hours until your dad and Penny would be at your apartment for dinner. You told Bradley about dinner, and he decided to join, so you didn’t have to go to the base just so that you and Jake could announce your relationship. Jake joined you at your apartment while you cooked dinner. You had him set the table and put a bottle of wine on ice. There were plenty of beers in the fridge, since you only had wine on special occasions. (Mainly because you weren’t really a fan of it unless it tasted like jam.)
Bradley walked in with Penny and your dad at the perfect time. You were pulling the lasagna out of the oven and Jake was in the bathroom. You mentioned that when your dad asked you where your boyfriend was, leaving out his name.
It was a surprise to everyone when Jake walked out of the bathroom and asked if you were all ready to eat. Bradley immediately got a beer out of the fridge, Penny looked impressed, and you couldn’t quite describe the look on your dad’s face. Everyone sat down and started eating, and things were mostly quiet except for the occasional ask to pass something across the table.
“So, how long have you two been dating?” Your dad asked.
“A few months, and before you get worked up, we’re happy.”
“I’m not worked up, okay? I just wanna know why you kept it a secret for so long.”
“That’s what you’re wondering about?” Bradley asked, “I mean, Hangman, I knew you were seeing someone when you started skipping nights at The Hard Deck. I’m wondering why this, why now, y’know? Like, why get us together for dinner to announce this? Not that I’m really complaining, I get a free meal, but this could’ve been a text, really.”
You sighed and put your head in your hands out of embarrassment. Bradley did have a point, but you were mainly focused on trying not to laugh.
“We’re thinking of getting married. That’s why you’re all here, because one day, we’re gonna have a big ceremony,” you glared at Jake while he was speaking, “or we’ll head down to the courthouse, and we’ll want you there to celebrate with us.”
“Do you love him?” Your dad asked you.
“Yes,” you said as you nodded your head.
“And do you love her?”
“Absolutely, sir,” Jake said.
“That’s all I needed to hear. Get married, have fun, do whatever you want. But try not to rush into it, okay?”
“Wait, really?” You asked through chuckles.
“Yeah. If you’re happy, I’m happy. I couldn’t really stop you, anyways, since it is your life.”
“I’ll cheers to that,” Jake said. You clinked wine glasses and beer cans before handing out dessert. You had made a cheesecake before everyone arrived, so all you had to do was pull it out of the fridge and cut it. Bradley stayed a lot longer than anyone thought he would, not leaving until midnight when you pointed out how late it was getting.
It was somewhat surprising that your dad had approved of the relationship so easily. It was even more surprising that Rooster was okay with all of it. Either way, you weren’t complaining. And since you and Jake were more comfortable with being open about your relationship, you started going to The Hard Deck with him and the rest of the Dagger Squad. You even loudly supported him at the next air show that he had, while hanging out with the other partners of the group.

* Jake is captain of the football team and son of the town’s mayor, super rich boy vibes
* Wholeheartedly believes you and him should be together because he is captain of football team and your cheer captain
* All brawns no brain up there, his poor skull is sitting there collecting dust and head trauma from getting tackled one too many times. 🏆 𓈒⟡₊⋆∘˚⊹ ࿔

🎸⋆⭒˚。- Bradley Bradshaw as ‘Punk Outcast’
* Rooster is a free-spirited, rule-less, angsty, outcast
* Stays to himself and rarely ever talks, seriously no one has heard the guy say more than three words since high school
* working to put himself through college even though the stress from college and work is kinda making him flunk out
* Butts heads with Jake, two sides of different coins mixed with egos, passive aggression, and LOTS of testosterone leading to many physical fights between the boys. ᶠᶸᶜᵏᵧₒᵤ! ‧₊˚🕷‧₊˚

☥🦇 ݁ ˖ִ ࣪ - Nat as ‘Freak Loner’
* Out of her nerdy, timid shell from high school and free as can be…Natasha has voiced her disdain for all oppressive nature and love of the unknown, terrifying, and paranormal.
* She doesn’t feel the need to pretend to be uninterested in her education to fit her aesthetic when all is said and done, Natasha wants something to call her own and a degree is just that. So she’s willing to swallow her pride on how the world forces you into school for years right into the capitalist system of working for even longer before screwing you over even more the longer you let them..though she sure won’t be quiet about it
* But don’t be fooled by her dark makeup, passionate outburst, and spooky demeanor as hard she tries to bury her, that nerdy timid girl within Nat keeps kicking no matter how hard she beats her down. 𓉸ྀི ✮₊⊹₊⋆ ☠︎︎ ⋆₊ ⊹✮

It was all honestly a little overboard but you loved it all, love how busy it made you and how you were praised by seemingly everyone around you.
* Your family being the second wealthiest people in Woodsprings (thank you mommy and daddy) it was a given you never worried about how you were going to pay for college, the thought never crossing your mind until you overhear some peers complaining about how THREE jobs weren’t even enough to cover book fees so they would have to go to the local community college instead…it left you with an odd feeling never really having had the chance to acknowledge your privilege °❀⋆.ೃ࿔*:・

⊹₊⟡⋆ 🔪 - Bob Floyd as ‘Ghostface’
* The man of the hour, our beloved robby. Fed up with being bullied and patronized, bob fights back…he didn’t mean for the guy to die but he would be lying is he said he didn’t like the silence that came with one less of those losers gone.
* Sweet boy who lives with his single mother trying to help her pay bills by working a variety of on campus jobs, from handyman to security to library assistant…anything that pays to lighten the load off her back
* Geek Charming in the flesh, bob but always robby to you has always been super smart which is why he was head of chess club, class president, and valedictorian in high school and awarded a full-ride scholarship to Woodsprings University
* Robby has had a crush on you since the first grade, it’s honestly a mix between creepy and embarrassing how bad he had it for you but you rarely noticed him anyway. When you did seem to remember his existence you were always so sweet just like he knew you to be his sweet girl

Hot take that shouldn’t be a hot take:
my biggest pet peeve is when people tag something as a x reader but it’s actually an oc…..i got to the last chapter of a fic only for the description of the ‘reader’ to be of a white person.
then the author got nasty with me after i called her out about it but that’s whatever
it takes an extra 2 mins to have a generic description of a person rather then give the details of their appearance but some of y’all are just too lazy to do even that

Masseuse
"You're right," he replied, his voice taking on a more sultry tone. "We never did finish that massage, did we?"
Pairing: Jake “Hangman” Seresin x fem! Reader
Genre: Smut, romantic and fluffy
Word count: 4.3k
Summary: Jake offers to give you a massage which turns into a romantic confession.
Warnings: Unprotected sex, oral: fem receiving, p in v sex.
a/n: Guys idk I just love writing friends to lovers it's so cutesy. Anyways as always I hope you enjoy and send me any requests you might have. I also would like to thank everyone who’s following me and supporting me, I’m very grateful for it 😣🙏
Hangman was walking beside you, his arms above his head as he yawned slowly, tired from the training. His bag was slung over his shoulder, it was a long few hours, he turned to you with a smirk.
“Damn that was a tough training session.” He chuckled as he walked slightly closer to you.
“Ugh, I know. I’m all sore,” you whine as you stretch your arms, glancing at his cocky expression.
“Aww, poor thing,” he teased, a smirk on his lips as he turned to look at you, his hand moving to pat the top of your head playfully. “Need me to give you a massage?” He asked, his tone a mixture of jokingly and seriousness.
You stop walking and turn to face him, “Are you being serious?” you raise an eyebrow.
He paused as well, tilting his head and staring at you. “Course I am,” he replied, his smirk still plastered on his face. “I can’t have my best friend in pain, I’ll take care of you.” He teased, crossing his arms.
“God, you don’t know how good that sounds right now.” you reply, rubbing your side softly.
His smirk only widened at your words, his expression turning from playful to a more sincere one. He moved towards you, his hand reaching out to grasp your side, gently massaging where you were rubbing previously. “I always give the best massages, I promise,” he teased, his fingers gently kneading the sore area.
“Mmm I’m sure you do.” you murmur, eyes fluttering closed with the sensation. “Should we go to your place or mine?”
His smirk transformed into a grin, his hand continuing to massage gently at your side. “Well mine is closer,” he teased, his fingers still working the sore muscles gently. “Plus, I have some things that could make the massage better,” he added, his tone suggestive but still playful.
“Then lead the way.” you open your eyes, stopping his hand. “But don’t take too long, I really want to lay down.”
He chuckled, dropping his hand from your side and nodding. “Whatever you say, princess.” He teased, moving to turn around and gesture for you to follow him.
His pace was moderately fast, his long stride making it easy for him to stay ahead, yet still close enough that you could reach out and grab him if you wanted. It didn’t take long for you to arrive at his place, he unlocked the door and ushered you inside, shutting it behind himself with a flick of his wrist.
You throw your bag onto the floor and immediately start looking around, taking in the room around you. “So where do you want me Jake?”
He chuckled at your eagerness, closing the door behind himself and locking it before turning to look at you. “Well, you said you wanted to lay down darling, right?” He teased, his smirk returning. “I suggest the bed.” He joked, his tone low and suggestive.
“Don’t go getting any ideas,” you reply playfully, plopping down on the bed, laying on your stomach.
He chuckled again, watching you as you laid on his bed, stomach down. “Oh honey, I always have ideas,” he teased, his eyes trailing over your body before he began to make his way closer to you.
His stride was slow and lazy, almost like a predator before he approached his prey. He knelt down beside the bed, his fingers reaching out to rub against your back, gently massaging the sore areas.
“Keep your thoughts PG Jake.” you sigh as your body relaxes into the mattress, a soft moan escaping your lips with the pressure of his touch.
He rolled his eyes. “It’s never PG with me, sweetheart,” he teased, his fingers working their magic as he slowly massaged your back.
A smirk formed on his lips as your body relaxed, your soft moan sending a shiver down his spine. “Damn, you weren’t kidding when you said you were sore,” he teased, his fingers gently kneading the tense muscles in your back, working them out.
“I’m sore everywhere.” you whine, as his fingers slip under your shirt, working on your tense muscles.
He bit his lip as his fingers moved under your shirt, gently massaging your bare skin, his touch firm yet soft. “Oh, baby, everywhere?” He teased, his smirk widening as he continued his movements, his fingers working out the knots in your muscles with ease.
“Jake,” you practically moan his name, getting distracted mid sentence. “Should I take off my shirt?”
He chuckled at your moan, his fingers pausing for a moment as you spoke. A smirk formed on his lips as you suggested taking off your shirt. “Oh, honey, I thought you'd never ask.” He teased, his eyes trailing over your shape. “Can I do the honors?”
“Go ahead,” you turn your head softly, relaxing further into the sheets. His smirk widened as you gave him permission, his hands moving to the bottom of your shirt, slowly pulling it over your head, discarding it onto the floor.
His eyes raked over your bare skin, his fingers gently tracing the muscles of your back, tracing patterns that sent shivers down your spine. “God, you’re beautiful.” He murmured.
“Jake… quit flirting with me.” you groan as he straddles your hips, knees on the sides of your thighs. He chuckled as he straddled your hips, his hands trailing up to start massaging your shoulders, his fingers kneading the muscles gently.
“But sweetheart, I can’t help myself when you’re laid under me like this,” he teased, his voice low and seductive. “The way you’re laying, the way you move, the sounds you make-“
“Jake.” you cut him off, “I’m just here for a friendly massage.”
He paused his hands as you spoke, a smirk still on his lips. “You really think I’m gonna keep this to a ‘friendly massage’?” He playfully retorted, his hands moving to your sides, his touch slightly more teasing than massaging.
You turn underneath him, looking up at him “Jake, we’re friends..” He stops as you turn, his eyes meeting yours. He paused, his usual smirk fading slightly as you spoke.
He sighed, his hands moving to rest on either side of your head, pinning you down between his arms. “Sweetheart, I’m gonna be honest with you.” He started, his voice quieter than before. “I don’t just see you as a friend.”
“You don’t?” your eyebrows furrow as he gazes down at you, hands moving to his sides.
He shook his head, his eyes never leaving yours. “No. I don’t.” He whispered, his voice quiet but firm.
“You drive me crazy, you know that? The way you fly, the way you talk, the way you make me smile-“ he paused, his gaze turning more intense, “The way you look right now, pinned underneath me.”
You’re left speechless with his confession, stuck gawking up at him with widened eyes. He chuckled at the look on your face, his smirk returning as he observed your reaction. “Speechless, huh? Never thought I’d ever see that day.” He teased, his head tilting to the side as he stared down at you.
Your fingers tangle in the roots of his hair, your free hand pulling his face to yours. “Don’t get too cocky now.”
He allowed you to pull his face closer, his smirk widening at your touch. “Oh sweetheart, when am I not cocky?” He taunted, his breath mingling with yours as he spoke.
He shifted his position slightly, his body now pressing into you, pinning you even more effectively underneath him. “You know, I could get used to you being under me like this” he teased again, his hand tracing up and down your side gently.
You gasp at the feeling of his hardness pressing into your thigh, “Jake, just kiss me already.”
He chuckled at your gasp, his smirk widening at the way your body reacted. “Well, since you said it so nicely.” He teased, lowering his head down to meet your lips. His hand moved to the back of your head, holding you in place as his lips crashed onto yours.
The kiss started off relatively soft, his lips gently moving against yours, but quickly became more hungry, his tongue pushing at the seam of your lips, desperately seeking entrance.
You shift underneath him, arms pulling him closer to you as you let out a soft moan. Your thighs wrap around his waist as his lips move to your neck. He groans at the feeling of your thighs wrapping around his waist, his hands moving to grip your hips, his fingers gripping them possessively.
His lips move across your neck, his teeth nipping and sucking at the sensitive skin. “Damn, sweetheart,” he groaned, his hips grinding against you. “You’re driving me crazy right now.”
You arch into him at the pressure of his movements, “Fuck. Jake, please.” your fingers dig into his shoulders. He lets out another deep groan at the sound of you begging.
“What do you want, sweetheart?” He panted, his hips still moving against yours, his chest pressed against yours. “Want me to take you right here, right now?” He teased, his lips moving back to your neck, his teeth nipping at your skin again.
“You know me so well.” you retort, moving to pull his shirt away. He chuckled against your neck as you pulled at his shirt, his lips leaving your skin for only a moment as the cloth was pulled away from his body.
He quickly returned to his previous position, his hands moving to grip your wrists and pin them above your head, his body pressing into you once more. “You’re impatient, aren’t you?” He taunted, his lips finding your ear, his teeth nipping at the lobe. “Want me that badly?”
“Jake, I've been waiting for you for years. Don’t make me wait any longer.” you groan, arms shifting in his grasp. He groaned at your words, his grip on your wrists tightening.
“You really that desperate for me?” He panted, his teeth nipping a little harder at the sensitive skin of your neck. “Been waiting for me for years, huh?” He shifted himself slightly, his hips pressing closer to yours, his hard length evident between your thighs. “How long have you wanted me?” He whispered, his voice low and slightly possessive.
“Don’t let that get to your head, and no more talking.” you grind against him, impatient with his teasing.
He let out a low growl at the feeling of your movement, his hands gripping your wrists a bit tighter but not to the point of pain. “So damn impatient,” he grunted, his hips pressing harder into yours, desperate for friction, desperate for more.
“Fine,” he muttered, “no more talking.” His lips met yours again in a hungry kiss, his tongue delving into your mouth, silencing any words you might have said.
Jake groans into your neck as he lets go of your wrists, his hands moving to caress your breasts over your bra, his thumbs brushing against your sensitive nipples. You arch your back, pushing them into his palms, and let out a soft whine.
His mouth follows the trail of his hands, kissing and nibbling down your neck until he reaches the fabric that separates his mouth from your skin. With a quick movement, he unclasps your bra, letting it fall away, and his eyes widen with desire as he takes in the sight of your bare chest.
He takes one nipple into his mouth, sucking and flicking it with his tongue as his hand tweaks the other, making you squirm under him. His hands roam over your body, feeling every curve and dip, as his mouth continues to worship your breasts, leaving you breathless and desperate for more.
Jake's kisses grew more feverish as he made his way down your body, his teeth grazing the sensitive skin of your collarbone before his tongue trailed lower, over your abdomen and lingered at your navel. His warm breath tickled the skin around your belly button as he flicked his tongue inside it, eliciting a giggle that turned into a gasp when his hands began to tug at the waistband of your pants.
His eyes met yours, filled with a fiery need that mirrored your own. "Let's get these off, shall we?" he murmured, his voice thick with desire. You nodded, your breath hitching as he deftly unbuttoned and unzipped your pants, sliding them down your legs with a gentle urgency.
Your panties soon followed, leaving you exposed and vulnerable beneath him, but the way he looked at you made you feel anything but weak. His gaze was one of pure adoration and hunger, his hands trembling slightly as they roamed over your bare skin.
He took a moment to appreciate the view, his eyes drinking in the sight of you laid out before him, your legs spread slightly in invitation. With a wicked grin, he dipped his head and placed a soft kiss just above your clit, making you quiver in anticipation.
His hands continued to explore, one sliding down to gently cup your ass, the other to trace the line of your inner thigh before it disappeared under the fabric of your panties. "So wet for me," he murmured, his thumb brushing against your already soaked pussy.
"I can't wait to taste you." He didn't waste any more time, diving in and pressing the tip of his tongue against your clit, flicking it in a way that had you moaning and bucking your hips up to meet him.
The sensation was electric, his warm breath and the gentle abrasion of his tongue driving you wild. As he teased and tormented your clit, his hand slid back down to your opening, his index finger circling the entrance before pushing inside you gently. You gasped as he filled you with one digit, the feeling of fullness adding to the exquisite pleasure building within you.
He chuckled against your skin, feeling you tense around him, and he began to pump his finger in and out in a slow, steady rhythm that had your muscles clenching around him. His mouth remained focused on your clit, the combination of his skilled tongue and the pressure from his finger pushing you closer to the edge of ecstasy with every passing second.
Jake groaned against your pussy, his free hand moving to palm his clothed hardness, the fabric of his jeans straining against the length of his erection. Your desperation grew as you grinded down against his hand, desperate for more. His tongue swirled around your clit, the pressure increasing with every pass, sending waves of pleasure through your body.
Your breaths came out in ragged gasps, and your hips rocked into his face, seeking relief from the delicious tension he was building. His fingers inside you curled slightly, brushing against your g-spot, making your eyes roll back with pleasure. He knew exactly what he was doing, and it was driving you crazy.
You moaned out his name, the sound a mix of need and pleasure as you moved against him, silently begging for more. His hand on your hip held you in place, guiding your movements as he worked you closer and closer to the edge.
The room was filled with the sounds of your moans and his muffled groans, the scent of arousal thick in the air. Your legs began to shake, and you knew you wouldn't last much longer. "Jake," you whimpered, "I'm so close."
He responded by sucking harder on your clit, his finger pressing deeper inside you, and the combination was too much. You came apart beneath him, your orgasm crashing over you like a wave, leaving you trembling and gasping for air.
He didn't stop though, continuing to lick and suck at your sensitive bud, drawing out every last drop of pleasure. As the tremors subsided, he pulled away, his eyes dark with desire as he looked up at you. "Now, let's see if I can make you scream," he murmured, his voice thick with lust.
Withdrawing his finger from you with a gentle pop, Jake leaned back, giving you a moment to catch your breath. His eyes were filled with desire as he unbuttoned his pants, revealing his thick, hard cock that was straining against the fabric of his boxers.
He looked at you with a question in his gaze, his hand hovering over the waistband. "Ready for the main event?" he asked, his voice low and gruff. You nodded, your eyes never leaving his as he slid down his boxers, freeing his erection. It stood proudly, the tip glistening with pre-cum, and he stroked it once, twice, before positioning himself at your entrance.
He looked into your eyes, seeking permission, his expression earnest. "May I?" he asked, his voice a soft rumble. You nodded again, your own desire reflected in your gaze, and he slowly pushed into you. The sensation was overwhelming, his length filling you up inch by inch, stretching you to the point of pleasure and pain.
You gasped as he breached your barrier, the feeling of fullness unlike anything you've ever experienced. He paused, giving you a moment to adjust before he began to move, his hips rocking in a steady rhythm that had you arching into him. His eyes never left yours, his gaze holding you in place as he claimed you in the most intimate way possible.
You wrapped your legs around his waist, pulling him deeper, your body begging for more. And as he began to thrust in earnest, the sound of skin slapping against skin filled the room, punctuated by your moans and his grunts of pleasure. The intensity grew with each stroke, and you knew this was just the beginning of a passionate night filled with pleasure beyond your wildest dreams.
Jake's movements were deliberate and slow, his cock sliding into you with a tenderness that was surprising yet incredibly erotic. Each inch was met with a soft groan from you, your body stretching to accommodate his size. He watched you closely, his eyes dark with passion as he pushed deeper, savoring the way your walls clung to him.
His hands held onto your hips, guiding you with gentle precision as he began to move in and out, setting a slow, rhythmic pace that had you whimpering with need. Each stroke was measured, as if he was memorizing every part of you, making you feel cherished and desired beyond anything you've ever experienced.
"You're so tight," he murmured, his voice a hoarse whisper that sent shivers down your spine. "I can feel every part of you." His hips rolled in a hypnotic pattern, his length hitting that perfect spot deep within you, making your toes curl and your nails dig into the bedsheets. His lips found yours again, his kiss deep and lingering as he continued to move within you, the intimacy of the moment threatening to consume you both.
Your arms wrap around his shoulders, nails digging into his skin, urging him closer as you try to absorb every inch of him. You arch your back, pushing your hips up to meet his, eager for more of his deep, powerful thrusts. Each time he enters you, it feels like your body is being claimed by him, filled in a way that makes you feel both vulnerable and incredibly powerful.
Your legs lock around his waist, pulling him into you with a need that borders on desperation. The rhythm builds, a crescendo of passion and lust that resonates through the very core of your being. Your breaths become ragged, your moans louder, as he continues to move within you, his pace increasing with every beat of your racing heart.
The connection between you is palpable, a dance of desire that leaves you both breathless and yearning for more. His eyes never leave yours, the intensity of his gaze a silent promise that he won't stop until you're both lost in the bliss of release. And as you feel the beginnings of another orgasm building within you, you tighten your grip, pushing down against his hips with all the strength you have, silently begging for him to take you over the edge once more.
Jake's thrusts grew more urgent as he felt his climax approaching, his hips moving with a fervor that matched the racing beat of his heart. His eyes remained locked on yours, the depth of his passion unmistakable as he drove into you with all the pent-up desire of years of longing. As he reached his peak, his body tensed, and with a guttural groan, he released himself deep inside you, filling you with his warmth.
His hand slipped down to your clit, his fingers beginning to circle it with the same rhythm as his hips, not wanting to leave you behind in the throes of passion. His touch was masterful, applying just the right amount of pressure as he felt your body respond, your muscles tightening around his cock, drawing out his orgasm even as it pushed you closer to yours.
Your moans grew louder, mingling with his own as the pleasure grew to a fever pitch. His movements grew erratic, driven by the intensity of his release, but his attention never wavered from your clit, working it with a fierce determination that had your eyes squeezing shut and your back arching off the bed. And just when you thought you couldn't handle any more, your body gave in to the sensation, and a second, even more powerful orgasm crashed over you, making your entire body spasm with pleasure.
As the aftershocks of your shared release rippled through you, he collapsed on top of you, his breaths coming in ragged pants as he buried his face in the crook of your neck, his heart hammering against your chest. For a moment, the world ceased to exist outside of the two of you, lost in the blissful haze of passion and intimacy.
Jake's body trembled slightly as he tried to catch his breath, his chest heaving against yours. The intensity of what had just happened left him feeling both satisfied and vulnerable, and he buried his face deeper into the crook of your neck as he tried to wrap his mind around the emotions swirling within him.
He'd wanted this for so long, and now that he had you in his arms, safe and satisfied, he didn't want to let go. But there was still something else he needed to say, a confession that had been burning within him since the day he met you.
“Jake..” you murmur his name, he raised his head slightly to look at you, his eyes filled with a mixture of vulnerability and determination.
"There's... something I need to tell you," he began, his voice a soft rumble against your skin. His hand came up to brush a strand of hair away from your face, his touch gentle yet shaky. "I've been trying to find the right time, but... there's never been a perfect moment."
Your body tenses with his words, anxiety filling you with his words. “What’s wrong?” you grip his forearms gently, fingers digging into his muscles. Jake noticed your tension, his expression turning even more concerned.
He shifted his body so that he was fully facing you, his eyes fixed on yours. "It's nothing bad, I promise," he started, his voice slightly reassuring. "It's just... something I've been holding onto for a long time. Something I've been too afraid to say."
“What is it Jake? Spit it out, you're scaring me here..” your eyebrows furrow as you gaze at him. His hand came up to cup your cheek, his thumb tracing soothing circles against your skin.
"I'm sorry. I don't want to scare you. It's just..." He took a deep breath, steeling himself for the words he was about to say. "The truth is... I've been in love with you for a long time. Years, actually."
You let out a shaky sigh before giggling, body relaxing into the mattress underneath you. Jake's eyes widened in surprise at your response. He had anticipated many reactions, but laughter was not one of them. "You're... laughing?" he asked, his voice filled with both confusion and disbelief. "Why are you laughing?"
“How long have you been in love with me?” your hands move to cup his cheeks, thumbs brushing over his cheekbones.
A slight frown tugged at the corners of his mouth, but he didn't pull away from your touch. "Since the day I met you," he admitted softly. "Ever since I laid eyes on you, I've been captivated. It was like a punch to the gut, and I couldn't shake the feeling no matter how hard I tried."
“You should’ve said something earlier.” you press a soft kiss to his lips, teeth tugging on his bottom lip as you pull away. He chuckled softly as you pulled away, a hint of amusement in his eyes.
"Yeah, hindsight's 20/20, right?" He cupped your chin, his thumb brushing over your lips. "I was scared. I didn't think you felt the same way, and I didn't want to ruin our friendship if I was wrong."
You kiss him again, loving the taste and feel of his lips against you. Jake melts into the kiss, his arms wrapping around you and pulling you closer. He deepened the kiss, his tongue meeting yours in a slow, passionate dance.
It was a kiss filled with years of pent-up desire, years of holding back his feelings. When he finally pulled away, he rested his forehead against yours, his breath coming in short gasps. “I love you too Jake, I always have.” you murmur, pressing a kiss to the tip of his nose.
He was certain he'd misheard you, or that this entire moment was a dream. But the feel of your body against his, the tenderness in your voice, told him that this was real. That you genuinely felt the same way about him. He tightened his arms around you, pulling you against his chest.
"You have no idea how long I've waited to hear you say that," he murmured, his voice filled with both ecstasy and relief. He lays back, pulling you onto his chest, you trace soft circles onto his chest.
“Jake, you know…” He hummed in response, his eyes half-lidded as he reveled in the feeling of your touch.
"Yeah, sweetheart?" he asked, one of his hands idly playing with your hair.
“We never finished my massage.” you murmur, cheek pressed against his smooth skin. A sly smirk tugged at the corners of his mouth as he processed your words. He didn't know how he could have forgotten about your unfinished massage, considering how much he'd been looking forward to it.
"You're right," he replied, his voice taking on a more sultry tone. "We never did finish that massage, did we?"

I'll add more as I find more favorites, but so far these have been ones that I've either read multiple times, sent to friends, or that made me fall for a character whose part of a fandom I don't typically enjoy. Also, if you were wondering if this is the same post as before, it's not. I had some technical difficulties (read: I am technologically incompetent) and in a desperate attempt to fix things deleted EVERYTHING.
Happy reading,

Cry-baby
Jake ‘Hangman’ Seresin x fem!reader
⤞ My masterlist ⤝
summary: Jake Seresin is a walking pile of ego and pride, but who would have thought he would find himself an angel of a girlfriend. Who also turns out to be a huge cry-baby!
a/n: since I’m sick I decided to binge-watch the two Topgun movies (again) and it has definitely brought back the love I have for this franchise!!! And who can be a better writing material than our young aviators from the second movie? And although I don’t know how I got this idea, it wouldn’t work on anyone but Jake Seresin. ENJOY!!!
warning: a bit of swearing but otherwise just fluff ;)
── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──
You and Jake have been dating for a while now. You still couldn't believe it. Jake. Seresin. He was a walking embodiment of confidence, ego, pride and perfection, an aviator on top of that, which meant he was also always cornered by women everywhere he went. Always ending up on top. And yet he picked you. And this was never about an insecurity of yours or some self-doubts.
It was about the fact, he invited you out even after your kind of disasterous first date.
"Woah! Somebody better bring a fire extinguisher soon," Jake commented the second you came into the restaurant for your first date, taking off your coat. You rolled your eyes, knowing this must have been one of his overused lines, but a small smile crept on your face. And that was all for Jake Seresin to brighten up like the sun itself. You spent your whole first date just talking, Jake always asking you questions and finding all the opportunities to brag about himself. You barely knew each other, introduced by a distant relative in one of the family gatherings. But despite all your doubts, he was an amazing listener and talker, the conversation between the two of you flowling as smoothly as ever.
You learned a lot about Jake from that first meeting. He was stationed far away from his family ever since he joined the Navy, missing his little sister who seemed to grow twice as much everytime he came home. He didn't really talk a lot about his first years in the Navy. He loved all types of sports - according to him, he was just so good in all of them - and he enjoyed old love songs. He was also a big lover of board games, altough not a lot of people knew that about him. He especially loved them, thanks to the fond memories with his family. As the evening went, you started to slowly but surely fall for Jake Seresin. Although with his charm, you were sure it was inevitable.
Yet you couldn’t be more different from him. You were never good in board games and it only ended up in others fighting. You were never a big fan of sports - you didn't really grasp the rules quick enough to stay interested, and to be completely honest with yourself, you sucked in every one of them. On the opposite, you loved baking - Jake admitted that he was never very patient for that mysterious art. You absolutely adored trips to the nature - Jake had barely any time for that, flying off in jets that produced too much of CO2 (you had to breathe through that one).
Despite all of these differences, you seemed to find a greater understanding in one another. While you adored Jake Seresin as a family guy, he immediately suggested a hike in the mountains, connecting both of your hobbies. At frist you thought Jake Seresin was the type of guy to hit and run, end the first date with an extra sleepover and then disappear without a note the next morning. But his eyes stayed trained on you the whole night, his hands stretched out in the middle of the table, taking yours in only if you let him, and letting go, once you needed them to support your story with additional gestures.
"What about love songs? Or any songs in general? Although I am warning you, I am prepared to fight for the honour of my love songs," Jake winked at you, the butterflies in your stomach making you let out a loud chuckle. "Okay, I'll keep that in mind. So, songs, huh?" you hummed, trying to come up with a genre you liked. Because you loved love songs, but behind close doors. The reason being something a guy like Jake Seresin probably wouldn't want to know on the first date. But you could never pick the right timing.
"Mary," a man at the table behind you said, the name catching your ears together with the romantic songs suddenly played by the band, slowly closing in on the table. The man got up, taking the attention of the whole restaurant, before kneeling on one knee. "Oh god," you managed to whisper to yourself as your eyesight started to get a little blurry on the edges.
"Will you marry me?"
The time has seemed to stop as you weighed your options. The best one for now seemed to be the bathroom.
"Yes!" Mary exclaimed, throwing herself onto her soon-to-be husband. The band, the candles, th whole restaurant getting up to clap, it was all too much. You had to go. Now.
"Excuse me," you got up as tears welled up in your eyes, fighting to get out. Nobody really noticed your escape except Jake, who looked quiet puzzled at your sudden disappearance, but decided to make nothing of it. Yet. But suddenly it was 10 minutes since you left and he couldn't help himself but start to worry. So he decided to investigate.
He walked up to the bathrooms, waiting for anyone to come up from the ladies' room. After a few seconds, one woman did, stopped immidiately by Jake's towering figure. "Sorry, is there a pretty lady about this tall there? I have a suspicion my date might have escaped," he joked a bit on his own account as he began to feel nervous, but still trying to keep his cool. The woman was not laughing the slightest.
"There is. But I don't know what you have told her, that girl is crying tears like a waterfall," and with that the woman was gone, leaving Jake even more confused. "What the fuck?" he said to himself, trying to pick up the courage and open the ladies' room to check up on you. He stood there frozen for a few seconds.
After that, he finally managed to at least knock.
"Y/n?" he asked, not hearing any response for a few seconds. "Y/n, I know you're there. If you haven't already escaped... Is everything okay?" he knocked once more, now finally getting an answer.
"Yes, yes! Everything is just fine!" you facepalmed yourself, trying to make the redness go away, along with the rest of the tears. You just have to stop thinking about the couple.
"I don't know about that. Apparently you are in there, crying," Jake yelled from the corridor. Shit! You cursed, still trying to salvage what you could. But Jake was still there, knocking. Nothing could save you.
"Y/n," Jake was slumped against the wall after what felt like an eternity of knocking, his two fingers lazily knocking out different rythms before you opened the door, startling him. "Holy mother of god!" he yelped, looking down at you. Your face was all puffy, eyes reddened together with your cheeks. From the embarrassment obviously. "I'm sorry," you whispered, taking in a deep breath. "I understand if you don't want to continue this anymore, or see me again, it's completely-"
"Hold on, hold on, hold on. What are you on about now?" Jake interrupted your already memorised bathroom speech. You two stared at each other in confusion, your mouth opening and closing for good 10 seconds before Jake decided to take the interrogation into his own hands.
"Why, exactly, are you crying?" he asked, his eyebrow cocked. You gulped. "There's one thing I haven't told you about," you looked down, the floor suddenly more interesting than the hotshot in front of you. And Jake didn't like that. "Hey, hey," he snapped his fingers gently. "Eyes are up here," he smirked and you rolled your eyes, wiping your nose. "I do listen to love songs, very much but," your gaze again fell on something behind him, the couple no longer there. “I get very emotional, as you can see, anytime something like that happens.”
"Do you have like a chronic emotional crying syndrome or what?" he asked with an almost mocking laughter in his voice as he looked to where you were looking. Your brows furrowed. "Yes. Yes I actually do," you said a bit fiercely for your character, immediately cooling the fire rising inside you. You didn't want to make it even worse than it already was.
"Wait, really?" his head shot back at you, now actually full of surprise.
"Well, it's not an official condition," you mumbled, now slumping next to him against the wall. Who cares about that dinner anyway now?
"I just cry everytime I see or hear something that rises too many emotions in me. I cannot control it. Everything is just so beautiful and breathtaking! These tears attack my eyes and I have to run away for at least a whole half an hour until I'm all fine again," you confessed, waiting for his reaction, although you knew exactly what it was about to be. He didn't disappoint.
Jake Seresin broke into the biggest fit of laughter ever. Although he was at least trying to be quiet, you had to give him that. "Yeah, right," you mumbled, pushing yourself off the wall, ready to pack your things and leave. Another ruined date. Thanks taken couples, you really make it easy for us.
"Hey, wait! Where are you going!" you heard Jake try to call after you between his laughing and panting. You were already by the table. "Y/n, where do you think you're going!" Jake cornered you there, tears of joy sparkling in his eyes. "I'm sorry! I just- I haven't met anyone like you so it seemed a little funny to me, I'm sorry, really, I didn't mean it," he started apologizing, bits of chuckles escaping his lips. "Yeah, you still seem to find it funny," you pouted, ready to leave.
"No, no, I promise, I mean it when I say that I'm sorry," he caught you gently by your wrist. "But here I was, crushing my ego, thinking this hot chick just escaped the thorugh the bathroom window because I was ugly, can you believe that?" he wiped his tears. “I swear, even I have some weak moments,” he wiped the tears away, shaking his head with a few chuckles. His hand relaxed, letting yours go, because you suddenly didn't feel like going yet. "You're so shallow," you hit his chest playfully but he caught your hand on the place where his heart was beating.
"But this hot chick hasn't escaped, right?"
You let out a loud laugh that was caught between his lips. And that's how your first of many dates went. You couldn't believe your luck, nor your memory from that day. And after a few months of dating, Jake took you to cinema to see his favorite film, leaving out the fact that this was the only film making him emotional enough. He sniffled quietly next to your storm of tears, occasionally breaking a smile at how hilarious you were, when in fact you were just the same, laughing at him. It was a miracle how you two found each other.
"That's Hangman's chick?" Nat pointed to a woman in the corner of the bar, close to where Hangman was playing darts at least 100th time this evening. She was holding a strawberry milkshake in her hand, dangling her feet as she watched her boyfriend win (100th time, again). And everytime he did, he leaned in for a peck, quickly wiping the tears of joy off of her cheeks- from yet another of his wins.
"It's like he kidnapped her and the ransom is to act this with him, or something," Rooster mumbled, making Natasha let out a loud laugh in surprise. “Someone is jealous, huh?” she teased, Rooster rolling hus eyes. "She looks nice, kind," Bob noted, smiling the girl's way. "Yeah, definitely not Hangman's style, they're like peas and carrots," Rooster noted again, a teasing smile on his lips.
"What do you know?" Phoenix shrugged, turning around for her turn in the pool. "Maybe there's a side of Jake we are yet to discover," she said nonchalantly, hitting her ball straight to the hole. "Bull's-eye!"
But the game was interrupted by the sudden long ringing of Penny's bell.
"Attention!" she shouted across the bar, every guest prickling their ears. "There's a couple, Ben and Mary, who have been frequent guests of ours to the point where we call them family," Penny smiled as the whole bar agreed, lifting their drinks. "But today, Ben has a special announcment he wants to share with you,"
A man walked into the middle of the bar where probably Mary was standing, taking a deep breath.
"Mary?" he asked, lowering himself on one knee.
"Oh no." Hangman's head immediately shot to you, but you were already staring at him, tears already glistening in the light.
"Yes, Ben?" the woman asked, already knowing what's coming. Everybody knew.
You won't make it to the bathroom. Jake lifted his eyebrows, nodding to the bathroom across the bar and shaking his head.
You sniffled.
Beach? He pointed to the open door nearby, leading to the beach.
You nodded frantically and as the words 'Will you marry me' fell from Ben's lips, you were already out of there, heading for the ocean waves.
Jake hugged you from behind, hiding his amused smirk (which you knew was there), quickly wiping the tears already streaming down your face. "You cry-baby!" he said mockingly.
"I know! But it's all just so beautiful," you sniffled, already used to his teasing.
"So are you, babe"
"And you"
You turned around. Jake’s eyes looked at you in content, making you feel like you’re the only one for him. Because you are the only one for him.
“I love you,” he whispered, pushing a strand of your hair behind you ear, his hand resting on your cheek.
“I love you too,” you whispered back.
“Even when you’re a little cry-baby!” Jake pinched you cheek lightly, his mocking tone making you laugh out loud. That was until he locked the laughter by connecting your lips with his, keeping it all to himself.
Thanks taken couples, you really make it easy for us.

Tiny Red Dress ✯ Part II
Part I
Notes: Jake "Hangman" Seresin x Fem!Reader - This is my first attempt at smut 😭 (1.4k words)
Warnings: Smut, no actual sex but pretty close, mdni!
This is for y'all: @lomlbuckybarnes @sisterslytherinog @fandomhopped @ohhdarlingxo @shawnsblue @saltyturtlejudgeflap @callsign-magnolia @calirindo
🦋 Masterlist 🦋
Jake showed up two hours early from your requested time and you were nowhere near ready. The guy was never early, priding himself with being exactly on time—with military precision, of course—but not today when you ignored his knocking for twenty minutes because you were sure it was your horrible neighbor Judy who never seemed to buy her own sugar.
“You’re early,” you said, still in your oversized Navy t-shirt and sleep shorts.
“I brought coffee!” He handed you a to-go cup from the hand not carrying a toolbox, much too chipper for 8 A.M. on a Saturday.
“How’d you get in the building?”
“Tyra buzzed me up.” Jake said, distracted by your apartment. It was the first time he’d been there and hadn’t expected it to be so green. For some reason, he would have assumed you had a black thumb, maybe because you all spent so much time on base. Who’s been watering your plants?
“Another one of your conquests, I’m sure.” You rounded the corner into your kitchen, putting the island between you and Hangman.
“Am I just some slut to you?” He smiled.
“Absolutely.” You said and planned to stop there but curiosity got the best of you, “Speaking of which, how was your night?”
—
Jake didn’t want to tell you that he didn’t go home with Daniela. He showed up early because he was sure that seeing you back to normal, bleary-eyed and bed-headed even, would snap him out of whatever that red dress did to him. But it didn’t. Not even a little. “You know I don’t kiss and tell.”
But he did. Frequently. You didn’t want to push but you noticed his smile falter and wondered if something happened. You lingered a little after you walked out of the Hard Deck. You saw Daniela walk up to him. You saw them talking. You left after that, sparing yourself from the scene of them leaving together, but you couldn’t imagine anything happened but that. Did it not live up to his expectations?
Jake saved you from inquiring further by digging through your pantry, “Don’t you have anything besides sugar cereals?”
“What, my Trix aren’t good enough for you?” You reached to grab the box back from him but he yanked it away.
Jake bit his tongue. “Haven’t you heard of a well balanced breakfast?” He towered over you, holding the cereal box well above your head.
“Yeah,” you rolled your eyes. “Sucrose and Red 40. What else is there?”
“I don’t know. Protein, fiber…” Jake trailed off, enjoying himself more in this moment, with you looking up at him like a cat plotting its attack, than he had in a while.
You jumped, hand outstretched to grab the box, catching Jake off guard. On reflex he tried to catch you, palm slipping beneath your shirt to find the expanse of your back where he should have felt the band of your bra.
He sucked in a sharp breath and the cereal box fell to the floor, scattering little puffed flowers across the kitchen tile. “I-I’ll clean this up,” he stammered. “You go get dressed.”
.
You retreated to your bedroom, at a complete loss for what the hell just happened. Hangman had seen you in casual clothes before, covered in sweat and grime from long training days, bloody and exhausted but he had never reacted like this. Jake had always been calm, collected, and completely in charge. But this was…whole new territory. Did Daniela hurt him?
“You want to go to the beach later?” You yelled. The main reason you decided to buy this condo was because of its proximity to it. Sure, you were totally house poor now but you spent most of your time at work anyway.
You couldn’t decipher his response but it sounded something like an affirmative. You had never known him to pass up a beach day; and despite how much he usually annoyed you, you were enjoying his company this morning. So you slipped on a black bikini beneath your cut-offs actually looking forward to the day ahead.
Jake remembered being cool once, maybe. There was a slight chance he’d always been a bumbling idiot and this was his own personal Twilight Zone episode on the perils of an overinflated ego. He texted Bob a quick I’m cool right? And looked under your sink for a dustpan. He was just glad he had dodged the beach bullet.
He had seen you in a bathing suit before, during team building exercises with Maverick, but he wasn’t sure that was something he wanted to deal with right this moment.
His phone buzzed with Bob’s reply: are you sick???
That was probably it, he thought, he needed to do whatever chore you needed done and isolate himself before the brain dead spread.
“The dust pan is in the front hall closet,” you said emerging from your bedroom. You needed to dig through the pile of freshly laundered clothing on your couch to find a shirt and didn’t think much of Jake seeing you in just your bikini top.
“I thought we weren’t going to the beach.” Jake looked wide-eyed. He felt like he was back in middle school, when his attraction to girls was new and not fully within his control.
“Oh, sorry. I just assumed—“ You stopped dead once you caught a glimpse of his face. “Oh my god!” You couldn’t help your grin. Suddenly it clicked, why he was acting strange, Jake didn’t find you so plain anymore. “You’re so into me.”
Jake groaned.
“Admit it.” You prodded.
“Admit what?” He rubbed his face, so pained by this entire interaction.
“That you’re obsessed with me.”
.
You made it your goal to make him absolutely miserable for the rest of the morning and boy were you succeeding. You never did find that shirt, but you did blow out your hair because, more than anything, you wanted him to admit that he found you super crazy scorching hot.
“You know, I have been needing a good drill.” You had your back up against the wall he was working on. The gallery wall was nearly complete, all Jake needed to do now was install the screws and actually hang the artwork. “Really I just haven’t had anyone to teach me.” You bit your lip, “Would you teach me to drill, Jake?”
His hand slipped, the drill bit missing the screw entirely and making a hole in your wall.
You couldn’t help but laugh, partly in disbelief. You could believe the effect you were having.
“You think this is funny?” He said, setting the drill on the floor to box you in.
“Kind of.” You looked up at him through your eyelashes and pushed back your hair to expose your neck. It was as if the character from last night had taken over and it almost scared you how much you liked it.
This was the most turned on Jake had ever been in his life and you hadn’t even touched him. His initial contact was hesitant, tracing up your arms and along the strings of your bikini.
He kissed your neck and nuzzled his way down to suck on your pulse point. Your breathy moan went straight to his cock.
God, he couldn’t fucking believe it. Jake got bolder, pulling you flush against him by the belt loops. He kissed your clavicle, breath heavy, and flicked your hard nipple through the triangle of your bikini.
It was nearly painful how hard his dick strained in his jeans thanks to your breathy whine.
You turned to face the wall, ass grinding into him. It felt incredible. You felt incredible.
You pulled your hair aside so Jake could watch as you popped the bow of your bikini knotted around your neck. “Fuck,” he swore as the top fell. “You’re so fucking hot.”
He reached around you to touch your breasts but you grabbed his wrists and moved them down to your hips, letting him control the speed.
You ground faster and he couldn’t help but buck into you. “Baby, wait,” he whispered, “I’m gonna—”
You laughed, tying back your bathing suit before you turned to face him and his wet jeans. “Did you—”
“Yeah,” he said completely breathless. “I can’t believe it.”
“Can’t believe Plain Jane made you cum your pants?”
Jake actually blushed and satisfaction bloomed in your chest.
“Find me on the beach after you deal…” You gestured vaguely at his crotch. “And don’t forget to finish the wall!” You said, already out the door.

The street lights blur as Jake stares through the rain-splattered windshield. His fingers tap restlessly against the steering wheel, an unconscious rhythm that once matched the beat of your voice, singing along to songs that never mattered except for the joy they brought when you were together. Tonight, the silence is a suffocating weight.
You had called him. Finally. After weeks of distance, hollow promises of ‘everything is okay’, days of unanswered texts, and vague excuses, you had finally said the words he both craved and dreaded.
“We need to talk.”
A lump of emotion rises in his throat, thick and hard to swallow. He checks the time: eleven minutes past nine. You’re late, or maybe Ellen let you leave early, and you’re already gone. Maybe you’ve made your choice, and not showing up to talk is your way of letting him know it’s official.
Jake contemplates if that would be easier for both of you. Because he isn’t entirely sure he can handle hearing you say it out loud.
The lights inside the coffee shop switch off, and Jake holds his breath. The door swings open, and there you are, wrapped in the navy-blue coat he bought you last winter, smiling and chatting with your boss, Ellen. You catch sight of his car and pause, and he wonders if you were hoping he wouldn’t show up.
You turn your back to him while Ellen locks the door and then wave goodbye as she jogs off into the rain and toward her car.
Jake opens the door and steps out, heart pounding as he meets you on the sidewalk. “Hey.” His voice is tight, a knot of hope and dread fighting for control.
Hesitating before walking toward him, your expression is unreadable, but you softly mimic, “Hey,” hugging yourself against the cold or perhaps shielding your heart from this moment.
For a long moment, neither of you speak. The distance is more than physical. It’s a canyon of unspoken words, fears, regrets, and love that may no longer fit.
It isn’t supposed to be like this. You’ve never been the couple who struggled for words. You are the ones who take midnight drives and whisper secrets over ice cream, the couple who can tell what the other is thinking with just a glance. But now, there is only awkward silence and uncertainty.
Finally, he exclaims. “Please, just tell me now. If you don’t feel the same anymore, if...if you’re done, just say it.”
Your slight pause and deep inhale speak volumes before the words pass your lips. “It’s not that simple, Jay.”
It feels like a pair of wheel chocks have been dropped on his chest because you didn’t deny it. “It is to me. Either you love me, or you don’t.”
A sharp exhale accompanies the shake of your head. “It’s not about love. That has never been our problem.”
His brow furrows, confusion mixing with panic. “Then what is it?” You look away, eyes glistening with more than just the rain as you bite your lip. He knows you’re gathering the courage to say things he’s been afraid of for too long.
“You’re leaving.”
The ache in his chest intensifies with the rapid pace of his pulse. Desperate to rectify the situation, he imploringly reminds you. “We talked about this.”
“I know. You’ve wanted this forever.” Your voice wavers with the tremble of your lips. “Flying for the Navy, serving, pushing yourself to the limit—I get it. And I love that about you. But I also know what this means for us. You’re about to dedicate years of your life to training, deployments, and God knows what else. You’ll be gone more than you’ll be here.” The pain in your eyes is enough to make him flinch.
Stepping closer, he urgently implores. “But I’ll come back to you.”
Your smile is bittersweet, full of sadness. “That’s just it, Jake. I don’t know where I’ll be. I want out of this town as much as you do.”
Your reasons differ from his but are still valid. He gives a mirthless smile because he knows. You’ve told him your plans: to travel the world for a few years and work as many different jobs as you can until you find the one thing you love.
“I don’t want to be the person someone comes back to,” you continue sadly, “I want to be someone’s here and now. Not their waiting game.”
He wants to argue, to tell you that you can make it work because it always has worked, but bile rises in his throat instead, and he chokes it back. Deep down, he knows you’re right. The moment he received his acceptance letter, he threw himself into preparations, physical training, paperwork, packing, and goodbyes without ever really considering how much this would cost or how much it would change everything for each of you.
Resignation lies heavy in your sigh. “I just don’t think I’m built for that kind of life. Loving someone I’ll always have to say goodbye to.”
Hands clenching into fists, he swallows thickly around the lump of tangled words. He has always pictured you waiting for him, the reason he fought and trained harder, but that probably wasn’t fair. Perhaps love isn’t supposed to be something that asks for such sacrifice.
Your words sink in like a stone thrown into a still pond, and he slowly nods. “That’s all I needed to hear.”
A million memories crash over him: quiet afternoons, shared dreams, a future that was always just out of reach. There are no words left to say as you stare at each other, only the weight of goodbye pulling you under.
“Jake.”
His name is barely a breath, but it’s enough to tell him what you need. Stepping closer at the same time, he waits for you to make the next move as your eyes search his like you’re memorizing every detail. Then, before either of you can think better of it, your hands lift to his face, pulling him down into a kiss.
It’s slow, aching, nothing like the last time your lips met. There’s no fire, no desperation, just the quiet, painful understanding that this is the end.
Jake melts into it, letting himself feel everything he’s about to lose. The future he had imagined, the proposal that would never happen, the reunions he once dreamed of—he says goodbye to all of them in that kiss.
The salty taste of tears lingers on his lips, and for a fleeting moment, everything feels right again. But reality crashes in, and he pulls away, breathless.
“I love you, Jake.”
His eyes sting, and the words scrape roughly against his vocal cords, made raw by the shunned emotions. “Goodbye, Angel.”
And just like that, it’s over.
Slowly, he backs away, his gaze locked until he can no longer bear it, and he spins to rush to his car. Once inside, he grips the wheel like a lifeline, keeping him grounded. As he pulls away, he glances in the rearview mirror—one last time.
The image of you with your arms wrapped tightly around yourself grows smaller, eventually fading as the distance grows. With his full attention now on the road ahead, Jake realizes, with depressing clarity, that sometimes it isn’t about falling out of love; it’s about knowing when to let go.

Pool duel
Hi ! Sooo it's my very first time on this app, and also maybe one of my first draft in full english. It's not my native language so if there's some mistakes or syntax inconsistencies, I'm sorry for it. Be free to give me advice or even ideas of what you would like to read !
Enjoy <3
Pov : Y/N and her teammates decompress at The hard Deck's bar after an intense training session in the air. They were in a pair, and as usual, Hangman wanted to show off during the exercise, leaving Y/N and Payback in the lurch.
Rooster x Reader
The Hard Deck was alive with the buzz of laughter and chatter, the jukebox belting out classic rock tunes that mingled with the clinking of glasses. Y/N leaned against the bar, her arms crossed as she sipped her beer, trying to ignore the ever-present voice of Hangman echoing through the room. Phoenix stood beside her, tossing a peanut into her mouth and rolling her eyes at Hangman’s antics.
“I swear, he’s got a special talent for making everything about himself,” Phoenix muttered, loud enough for Y/N to hear but not so loud that Hangman could catch it.
Y/N smirked. “You’d think he’d be tired after pulling all those stunts during training. But no, he’s just warming up.”
Across the bar, Hangman was holding court, his grin as wide as his ego. “I’m just saying, if you’re gonna keep up with me, you’ve gotta think faster. That’s what flying’s all about—quick decisions, sharp instincts. Right, Payback?”
Payback rolled his eyes but kept his cool, leaning back in his chair. “Whatever you say, Hangman.”
“Whatever I say is right,” Hangman quipped, flashing a cocky smile at Y/N. “Isn’t that right, Y/N? You and Payback barely made it out of that last exercise without my help.”
Y/N’s jaw tightened, but she kept her composure. “Maybe next time you can focus less on showing off and more on teamwork, Bagman” she shot back, earning a chuckle from Phoenix.
Hangman’s grin widened. “Teamwork’s great and all, but let’s be real—it’s about who’s got the skill to stand out. Speaking of skills, how about a little pool? Unless you’re afraid to lose again.”
Phoenix nudged Y/N. “Go for it. Wipe that smirk off his face.”
Rooster, sitting nearby with a drink in hand, gave Y/N an encouraging nod. “You’ve got this, sweetheart.”
Y/N set her drink down and strolled to the pool table, picking up a cue with an air of nonchalance. “Alright, Hangman. Let’s see what you’ve got.”
***
The game started, and Y/N deliberately missed her shots, her expression carefully neutral. Hangman’s confidence grew with every ball he sunk, his taunts growing bolder.
“Come on, Y/N. I thought you’d at least make this interesting,” he said, leaning on his cue with a smug grin.
Y/N’s lips twitched into a small smile. “Oh, don’t worry. I will.”
The room seemed to pause as Y/N straightened up and lined up her next shot. With precise, practiced movements, she began clearing the table, one ball after another finding his mark. Hangman’s grin faltered, then disappeared entirely as Y/N sank the final ball with a flourish.
The bar erupted in cheers and applause. Phoenix whooped, her and Y/N high-fiving. “That’s my girl!”
Rooster was on his feet, a proud smile lighting up his face. “You never cease to amaze me, sweetheart.” Rooster then kisses Y/N, to the whistling and applause of the bar crowd.
Hangman’s expression was a mix of disbelief and irritation as he tried to recover. “Alright, alright. Guess you had it in you after all.” Y/N handed him the cue with a sly smile. “Guess you’ll think twice before underestimating me again.”
The rest of the team laughed, their camaraderie filling the bar as Hangman’s ego took a well-deserved hit. Y/N take a sip of her beer, her spirits lifted by the victory and the pride in his eyes. For tonight, the Hard Deck was theirs, and she was exactly where she belonged.
***
Later that night, Y/N is sitting at the bar, alone, watching the bar continue to come alive. Rooster approaches her and leaned in close , his voice low and warm. “That was incredible. I’ve seen you fly, but seeing you hustle him like that? I’m impressed.”
Y/N chuckled, her cheeks flushing slightly. “Wait. Is that means you're not impressed when I fly ?"
“That's not what I'm saying.”
She laugh “It’s all about strategy. Let him think he’s got the upper hand, then strike.”
He grinned, brushing a strand of hair from her face “Remind me to never play pool against you.”
“Oh, come on,” she teased, nudging him lightly. “I’d go easy on you. Maybe.”
“Maybe?” he echoed, leaning closer. “You’re dangerous, Y/N.”
“And you like it,” she shot back with a playful glint in her eye.
Rooster's grin turned mischievous, his voice dropping even lower. “Oh, I do. Especially when you’re bossy. Maybe you could show me how you handle a stick later—might learn to you a thing or two tonight.”
Y/N felt her cheeks heat, but she refused to back down, narrowing her eyes at him with a smirk. “Careful, Bradshaw. Don’t start something you can’t finish.”
Rooster chuckled, the sound melting into the lively atmosphere of the bar. Later that night, Rooster kept his promise...
