One of my favorite small things from Jet Lag Tag 3 is just the existence of terrible Trenitalia ticket machines causing them to miss trains, because this was my exact experience as a tourist in 2019 that set off a train of events that landed me stranded in Pisa at midnight and splitting a cab to Florence with strangers

#the ticket machine caused me to miss my trian out of riomaggiore #and forced me to wait an hour for the next train #which was then so late that i missed my connection in pisa #which was the last for the night since it was past midnight when we arrived #so the entire train station was basically closed (even bathrooms) when we arrived #no more trains until morning. one random bus in the middle of the night but who knows about that??#we found a random lost looking australian couple who ALSO missed their connection #and pooled our money to split the only cab still avaliable #and that guy drove us like a madman and got us to florence at like 1 am #it was a fun story--couldve turned out much worse but now it just remains one of my more interesting travel snafus #but it has me laughing so hard at the jet lag boys every time they attempt to operate the machines lmao #like yes sir. I have Been There
