Sean Connery plays the mastermind, Lesley-Anne Down his girlfriend and Donald Sutherland a safecracker with whom they team-up. I generally don’t like caper films because the protagonists are criminals, but Crichton wisely makes the characters played by Connery and Sutherland likable rapscallions; meanwhile Down is babelicious, in particular in her jaw-dropping first scene. Crichton intentionally made the movie more farcical compared to his novel and I appreciated the wit and low-key humor. I didn’t expect to like this movie, but it won me over. The film runs 1 hour, 51 minutes, and was shot primarily in Ireland (Dublin, Bray, Cork & Moate), but also Pinewood Studios, England. GRADE: B-/B JPV852: Seen this once before many years ago but decided to check out the new Blu-ray from Kino Lorber. A solid heist-thriller though what struck me was these thieves were stealing gold meant for British soldiers, so not exactly stealing from some corporation, and our lead played by Sean Connery had no issue murdering a guy. Even so, still found it entertaining and some suspense-filled scenes, among them a great sequence with Connery on top of a moving train. **3.75/5**

⭐ James Bond is a fictional character created by novelist Ian Fleming in 1953. Bond is a British secret agent working for MI6 who also answers to his codename, 007. He has been portrayed on film by actors Sean Connery, David Niven, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig, in twenty-six productions. All the films but two were made by Eon Productions. Eon now holds the full adaptation rights to all of Fleming's Bond novels.
⭐ In 1961 producers Albert R. Broccoli and Harry Saltzman joined forces to purchase the filming rights to Fleming's novels. They founded the production company Eon Productions and, with financial backing by United Artists, began working on Dr. No, which was directed by Terence Young and featured Connery as Bond. Following Dr. No's release in 1962, Broccoli and Saltzman created the holding company Danjaq to ensure future productions in the James Bond film series. The series currently encompasses twenty-four films, with the most recent, Spectre, released in October 2015. With a combined gross of nearly $7 billion to date, the films produced by Eon constitute the fourth-highest-grossing film series, behind the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Star Wars, and Wizarding World films. Accounting for the effects of inflation the Bond films have amassed over $14 billion at current prices.
⭐ The films have won five Academy Awards: for Sound Effects (now Sound Editing) in Goldfinger (at the 37th Awards), to John Stears for Visual Effects in Thunderball (at the 38th Awards), to Per Hallberg and Karen Baker Landers for Sound Editing, and to Adele and Paul Epworth for Original Song in Skyfall (at the 85th Awards), and to Sam Smith and Jimmy Napes for Original Song in Spectre (at the 88th Awards). Additionally, several of the songs produced for the films have been nominated for Academy Awards for Original Song, including Paul McCartney's "Live and Let Die", Carly Simon's "Nobody Does It Better" and Sheena Easton's "For Your Eyes Only". In 1982, Albert R. Broccoli received the Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award.
⭐ When Broccoli and Saltzman bought the rights to existing and future Fleming titles, it did not include Casino Royale, which had already been sold to producer Gregory Ratoff, with the story having been adapted for television in 1954. After Ratoff's death, the rights were passed on to Charles K. Feldman, who subsequently produced the satirical Bond spoof Casino Royale in 1967. A legal case ensured that the film rights to the novel Thunderball were held by Kevin McClory as he, Fleming and scriptwriter Jack Whittingham had written a film script upon which the novel was based.
⭐ Although Eon Productions and McClory joined forces to produce Thunderball, McClory still retained the rights to the story and adapted Thunderball into 1983's Never Say Never Again. The current distribution rights to both of those films are held by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, the studio which distributes Eon's regular series.

Daniel Craig in Spectre (Sam Mendes, 2015)
Cast: Daniel Craig, Christoph Waltz, Léa Seydoux, Ralph Fiennes, Monica Bellucci, Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, Dave Bautista, Andrew Scott, Rory Kinnear. Screenplay: John Logan, Neal Purvis, Robert Wade, Jez Butterworth. Cinematography: Hoyte Van Hoytema. Production design: Dennis Gassner. Film editing: Lee Smith. Music: Thomas Newman
Why has the James Bond series not run its course by now? It has survived regular cast changes, including its central character, who has been played by six different actors: The Bond of Spectre, Daniel Craig, had not even been born when the first film in the series, Dr. No (Terence Young, 1962), premiered. Even recurring characters have been recast: M, Miss Moneypenny, and Q have each been played by five actors, and M underwent a change from male to female when Judi Dench took over the role in GoldenEye (Martin Campbell, 1995), though the part reverted to male (Ralph Fiennes) at the end of Skyfall (Sam Mendes, 2012). Yet the series has retained a reassuring familiarity, even to the point of typically beginning with a spectacular action sequence that almost certainly can't be topped in the remaining parts of the film. In Spectre, Bond is in Mexico City, where he shoots a bad guy, setting off an explosion that has him scrambling to escape from the building's collapsing façade, then chases another bad guy escaping from the rubble onto a helicopter, on which they struggle for control as it careens wildly over the crowds celebrating the Day of the Dead in the Zócalo. Then come the credits and another Bond-film staple, the thematic pop song: This one, "Writing's on the Wall," sung by Sam Smith, who co-wrote it with Jimmy Napes, won an Oscar. And then it's down to the usual business: chastisement by M (Fiennes), gadgets by Q (Ben Whishaw), and pursuit of the villains seeking control of the world. In Spectre there are two: One, Max Denbigh (Andrew Scott), is trying to take over control of intelligence services all over the world, while the other is a familiar figure from earlier Bond films, Ernst Stavro Blofeld (Christoph Waltz), who is in cahoots with Denbigh. (Blofeld, who had been a regular supervillain in the Sean Connery era, was absent from the Bond films after 1983 because of copyright litigation that was settled before Spectre, which takes its title from Blofeld's global criminal organization, was filmed.) There are also vodka martinis, shaken not stirred, to be quaffed, and "Bond girls" to be bedded -- although in recent years, Bond's sex life has become less wildly promiscuous and the women have become more complex characters. In Spectre, one of them, Madeleine Swann, is played by Léa Seydoux, a more than capable actress who sometimes seems to be fighting against the limitations of the role, trying to make Madeleine a more interesting figure than the screenplay allows. So to return to the original question: Why do we still gravitate to the Bond films when there are more novel action-adventures to be had? The series has been so frequently imitated -- Tom Cruise's Mission: Impossible movies are virtually indistinguishable in formula from Bond films -- that maybe imitation suggests the answer: We crave the familiar, but we also relish the small surprises when the formula is tweaked. In Spectre, for example, M, Moneypenny (Naomie Harris), and Q all get out of the office and into the field for a change. Spectre is one of the less satisfying in the series, marked by signs of fatigue in Craig's performance. Nevertheless, he signed on for the next one, the next one, No Time to Die (Cary Joji Fukanaga, 2021), before retiring from the series.

Who will be the next Bond?
PARIS
There are few casting decisions as hotly anticipated as the question of who will be the next 007, with many expecting that a black Bond or even female Bond is on the cards.
Daniel Craig, a somewhat reluctant Bond at times, has had one foot out of the tuxedo almost from the moment he took on the role back in 2006.
But "No Time to Die" appears really to be his fifth and final outing, and so the rumour mill is back in action.
For years, certain names have been closely linked to the role which has previously been played by stars including Sean Connery, Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnan.
Tom Hardy
Craig was an attempt to toughen up Bond after Her Majesty's top agent was threatened by an American -- Jason Bourne -- and his grittier adventures.
He was a massive success, with "Casino Royale" and "Skyfall" in particular seen as two of the best Bond films of all time, and returning the character to the style of the original novels by Ian Fleming.
Tom Hardy, often a villain or at least an anti-hero in films like "The Dark Knight Rises", "Venom" and "Mad Max: Fury Road", would be a way to maintain that darker vision of Bond.
He is currently the bookies' favorite in Britain, according to betting agency William Hill.
Idris Elba
A name that is often in the discussion is Idris Elba, known for "The Wire", "The Suicide Squad" and hit BBC series "Luther".
He set social media tongues wagging in 2018 when he posted: "My name's Elba, Idris Elba" -- echoing Bond's famous catchphrase -- but he added soon after: "Don't believe the hype!"
Bond producer Barbara Broccoli has repeatedly said that the next 007 "doesn't need to be a white man".
That has triggered some sadly inevitable racist responses, but many feel Elba has the charisma to pull off the change.
Lashana Lynch
Broccoli seemed to rule out the possibility of a female bond, telling Variety: "I'm not particularly interested in taking a male character and having a woman play it. I think women are far more interesting than that."
But that hasn't stopped speculation around Lashana Lynch, a 33-year-old black British woman, who reportedly takes over the 007 handle at the end of "No Time to Die".
Craig, however, agreed with Broccoli's position, telling the Radio Times: "There should simply be better parts for women and actors of color.
"Why should a woman play James Bond when there should be a part just as good as James Bond, but for a woman?"
Rege-Jean Page
Having set millions of hearts aflutter with Netflix hit "Bridgerton" over the past year, another bookmaker's favorite is the young British-Zimbabwean actor.
He has been self-effacing about the idea, telling US talkshow host Jimmy Fallon: "If you're a Brit and you do something of any kind of renown, then people start saying the B-word."
Tom Holland
Less coy about his desire for a license to kill is Spiderman star Tom Holland.
Not content with being a superhero, Holland told Variety: "As a young British lad who loves cinema, I'd love to be James Bond. So, you know, I'm just putting that out there. I look pretty good in a suit."
Also in the running
There are plenty of other candidates, with Vogue recently offering a run-down that gave strong odds to "British-Malaysian dreamboat" Henry Golding, "Bodyguard" star Richard Madden -- or for a more cerebral twist on the character, "Peaky Blinders" lead Cillian Murphy.
For now, lips are sealed at Bond HQ, with Broccoli saying: "You can only be in love with one person at a time.
"For now, we just cannot think about anything beyond Daniel."

#WE COULD HAVE HAD CHRISTOPHER LEE BOND?????#no hate to sean connery but cOME ON
The ironic thing is that although Lee was the only Bond to have actually worked AS a spy in real life, he like all the Bond actors (with the exception of Daniel Craig) all qualify as being too tall to actually get hired by MI6/SIS.
The idea being that someone the size of the 6ft 5in tall Christopher Lee being too distinctive to blend in like a spy is supposed to... But then, in the movies James always seems to go by his own name a bunch of the time (leading to the still fanon idea that James Bond is a title, a thing the films contradict), so him looming over people isn’t that distracting within the internal logic of the films.
Interestingly, or rather frustratingly, during the casting of the ensemble D-Day film the Longest Day (which was about the Allied invasion of Europe with a cast of tons of people, including John Wayne, a young Sean Connery, Henry Fonda, Robert Mitchem etc.), the casting people declined to hire Lee for a role because they said he didn’t “look like a military man“...
...You know, despite his having actually been in the military in various forms during the actual Second World War.
Ironically they didn’t seem to make this distinction for John Wayne, who infamously dodged any and all attempts to get him to enlist, with him first saying that he couldn’t because of his wife and kids (at which point he’d separated from his wife and was living with his new teenage girlfriend, and he never saw his kids either) and later when people started commenting on how his not joining up when other actors like Clark Gable and Jimmy Stewart had done so he did approach a connection in the US armed forces to get a job...
...Only for his schedule to mysteriously always be too full to actually leave the US (the suggested job involved running guns to resistance fighters in Europe by boat, if you wanted to know). It’s suggested by some, like the Behind the Bastards podcast, that his feeling that he’d failed to step up is why he went so heavily on supporting all following wars, including making the infamous pro-Vietnam War film the Green Berets.
Tumblr media
In 1966′s Rasputin: the Mad Monk, Christopher Lee played a version of the titular Russian mystic in a Hammer horror film interpretation of his life. Oddly, much like how he was acquainted with JRR Tolkien prior to eventually getting cast as Saruman in the Lord of the RIngs film, Lee also has a connection to Rasputin also.
Or, more accurately, when he was a child he actually met Felix Yusupov and Dmitri Pavlovich via his parents, who were two of the men who killed Rasputin back in 1916. Additionally, in 1976, a decade after appearing in the Mad Monk, Lee also met Rasputin’s daughter Maria, who reported told him that he’d successfully captured her father’s “expression“.
Side-note: the Mad Monk was filmed back to back with the aforementioned Dracula: Prince of Darkness, and used many of the same sets and cast members.

Split Across the Continents Chapter #1
Disclaimer: I don't own NCIS. Never have done and never will.
Part 1 Washington DC
Lieutenant Marcus King had a hangover. It wasn't just any hangover but the kind of hangover that would have put his training academy 200lb heavy set drill instructor to shame. He checked his phone, cursed loudly at the time, and started trying to locate his clothes from the night before casually strewn across the floor. The bleached blond girl from the bed moaned as he started to pull on his jeans.
"Can't you stay a little longer? We can pick up right where you left off." Her voice was husky and sent tingles down Marcus's spine but the thought of his commander's reaction when he arrived late was more sobering than a cold shower.
"Would love to but my boss isn't too happy about being tardy." Marcus replied kissing her ear and leaving the room.
The seedy hotel that he had spent the last few hours was quiet at this hour, well almost quiet, the loud couple down the hall were clearly nowhere near rest and Marcus inwardly smirked as he heard the unmistakable voice of his fellow marine getting some action. He quickly exited the hotel and started towards a 24 hour convenience store which he hoped would sell something breakfasty at this hour. The one guy on shift was peering over his phone checking Facebook as Marcus began examining the selection of poor quality donuts and muffins. He was half asleep, so he didn't hear someone approaching him. He didn't hear the bullet either.
Navy Yard DC.
"So you see Ziva, Sean Connery was so much better at being James Bond than Daniel Craig." Tony finished what had been an almost twenty minute monologue to a rather bored Ziva as they left the elevator and headed towards their desks. Despite Ziva's complete lack of interest in James Bond, Tony had seen fit to educate her on what he felt she was definitely missing out on.
"Daniel Craig is rather good looking don't you think? I mean that scene in Casino Royale…" She teased Tony as she watched his face turn to a scowl.
"He's not that good looking." Tony muttered as he emptied his gun, wallet, keys, and badge into his top desk drawer. Ziva laughed at the remark as she sat down at her desk and just enjoyed the view of her partner for eleven years on and off sink down into his desk. Sure he wasn't as young as she had been when she had first met him but then neither was she.
She nodded a quick good morning to McGee who appeared to be rather engrossed in looking at a webpage. She nodded across at Tony as she crept across to see what he was doing.
"Engagement rings, McGoo?" Tony called him out as they leant over his shoulder. McGee sighed and continued to scroll through the webpage.
"I'm going to propose to Delilah but I need help choosing the ring." McGee explained as he accidentally clicked on a ring that was almost as tacky as it was tasteless.
"Not that one. It looks awful." Ziva cringed as McGee exited the screen and went back to the main page.
"You can trust me on this McGagementring." Tony nodded as he commandeered the mouse and started to scroll through.
"Since when do you have experience picking out engagement rings?" McGee snorted as he tried to grab his mouse again.
"Still sore McGee. Still sore." Tony said, grabbing the mouse back.
"It's been fifteen years Tony." Ziva said exasperatedly. "Don't you think you have moved on?" Tony rolled his eyes.
"No time for rings now, dead marine stuffed into a convenience store display. Grab your gear." Gibbs hollered as he thundered through the bullpen wearing his classic sports coat and holding his trademark coffee. Tony and Ziva left McGee's side faster than bullets as the followed their boss towards the elevator.
"Yeah I have moved on." Tony muttered into Ziva's ear as they headed into the elevator.
After what felt like the scariest twenty minutes in McGee's life, the NCIS truck screeched to halt outside a run down convenience store with a neon sign above it detailed six packs for five bucks. The marine inside was splayed in a grotesque fashion inside a display with three bullet holes in his abdomen and one in his head.
"Morning all." Came the cheerful voice of Ducky accompanied by Palmer.
"Cause of death, Duck?" Gibbs didn't bother with the pleasantries.
"I have only just arrived but I can probably estimate the gunshot wounds although which one remains to be seen." Ducky mumbled as he handed the liver probe over to Jimmy.
"Time of death was 5:30 this morning, Doctor." Jimmy added as Tony and Ziva walked back into the store.
"Found another body boss. Appears to be the store clerk. Gunshot wound to the head. Had a phone on him." Tony added keeping it brief.
"No witnesses either." Ziva added.
"Boss, this is Lieutenant Marcus King stationed at the Pentagon. Wife is Maria King and they have a ten year old daughter April." McGee added as he checked their portable AFIS machine. Ziva felt her breath catch in her throat. Ten year old daughter… She banished the thought. She couldn't think about /her/ now. She quickly focused on collecting evidence so to avoid catching her boss's eye. As she focused on looking for shell casings she felt Tony come up behind her.
"You okay?" His voice was low and she knew the implied tone behind it. He knew why she was almost going to pieces of the mention of a ten year old.
"I will be." Ziva answered as she put a 9mm shell casing into an evidence bag.
"Ziva…" His voice trailed over laced with concern which simultaneously made her want to laugh and cry at the same time. She grabbed the rest of her kit and headed towards the van. She couldn't cry now, not where she was working. She threw her gear into the back and turned to go towards the cab when she was faced with Tony, the same look of concern on his face. He pulled her into a hug and she felt herself relax into it. It was just Tony after all.
"I'm sorry." He whispered into her ear.
A/N: This is my first fan fiction. I hope you enjoy it!

Selena gomez porn video
Articles, Tagged With "Shakespeare" All content material that's unrelated to The Walking Lifeless will likely be removed (this contains generic image macros and reaction photos). Johnny Depp (June 9, 1963-) - Actor and musician identified for his portrayals of offbeat, eccentric characters corresponding to Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean” movie sequence. The actor has made it known that he hates being famous and, in truth, never even wanted to be famous in the first place. One could adorn their car with a bumper sticker, displaying their love for the actor to the world. Perhaps it is because of my background in performing arts, but I'm extremely joyful to hear that professional actors at the top of their video games are finally making it into the MMO genre. Shah Rukh Khan who was a struggling actor at that time found his foothold within the trade and soon became a megastar. One other gifted actor in tamil industryMore than an actor he also a good dancer.Usually his filims getting good opening in boxoffice. Observe: Tomorrow, July 4th, will see a list of the highest American-born girls film actors placed for a vote. The quantity of exposure their views obtain is usually going to be outlined by how well-known they are. If Steve Forrest appears to be like a bit bit like actor Dana Andrews who did a variety of movie noir films of the forty's and 50's that is as a result of Steve is actually his younger brother. Then they shout my title and i'm like 'huh?' Anyway i all i can take into consideration is being well-known. He's really talented and versatile, and he's one of the highest-paid actors of at present! McKellen is a British actor with loads of expertise as an actor, having popularised his two most properly-recognized performances as Magneto in the X-Men franchise, and Gandalf in The Lord of the Rings franchise. Stevie Surprise, probably the most well-known musicians of our time, was born blind on account of a condition called retinopathy of prematurity - a watch illness that occurs in a small proportion of premature babies the place irregular blood vessels grow on the retina. We'll be adding more to this checklist as our favourite Korean actors and actresses unite as one. Most just lately, the actor could be seen in a lead function on CBS' Elementary, including the simply-wrapped fifth season. Naomi Judd (January eleven, 1946-) As country music's most famous mother/daughter team, The Judds scored twenty prime-10 hits and fifteen #1s. Morgan Freeman has change into well-known for starring as aspect roles in films now for a while, and a lot of the time these motion pictures have gone on to become blockbuster success stories, so it could only make sense that a minimum of 10 motion pictures would have been viewed by a single common movie-goer. I verify it day by day to make sure I am not... after all I'm not well-known so I assume I'm trying within the wrong place as soon as again. John Carpenter (January 16, 1948-) - Movie director, screenwriter, producer, editor, composer, and actor. Deepika Singh in Diya aur baati hum - Indian TV actresses are no much less in relation to painting tough police lady. Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan, and Daniel Craig every mirror on the affect and significance of taking over such a famous role. Hilltoppers (1929 -) - Jimmy Sacca, (October 7, 1931-) - Donald McGuire, (July 9, 1930-1987) - Seymour Spiegelman (October 1, 1930 -), later added a pianist, Billy Vaughn, (1919 -1991) - Group started whereas attending Western Kentucky College and went on to grow to be world well-known. I find with my remark that the Hollywood film Trade are usually not hiring more Mexicans actors but more Latin region like Sofia from Fashionable Family which she is Colombian and Jennifer Lopez in her Puerto Rican native. Kaczmarek was married to fellow Wisconsinite actor Bradley Whitford for seventeen years (1992-2008). Take into account, too, that the well-known faces listed under comprise only a drop in the bucket - the list of well-known introverts additionally often consists of Michael Jordan, Gwyneth Paltrow, Harrison Ford , Charles Darwin and David Letterman , among many others. Once I watch him in Murphy's Law of Love, I'm very pleased with myself admiring an excellent actor like Danson who came this far! Eduardo Kuno Becker Paz is a Mexican actor who appeared in telenovelas, in US and Mexican cinemas too. Being known for being an actor and the characters he's related to tend to frustrate Elba. The former actor - who had quit Hollywood for the military selena gomez porn video - was a University of Maine hockey star before getting his appearing break in Miracle, which chronicled the victory of the U.S. hockey staff over the much favored Soviet Union group in the 1980 Olympic Games.

Daniel Craig has signed up for a fifth James Bond #Film - but how does he compare to the #actors who played the iconic #spy before him?
Roger Moore has starred in the most #films, but Sean Connery's outings made the most money at the #US #BoxOffice, if the figures are adjusted for inflation.
Connery's films were also more acclaimed by #critics - although Daniel Craig isn't far behind when the reviews are ranked.
