University of Michigan regent Jordan Acker said masked anti-Israel protesters intruded at his home "with a list of demands" early Wednesday morning while his wife and children were sleeping inside.
In a post on X with more than 1 million views, Acker said a "masked intruder" showed up at his residence with a list of demands, "including defending the police."
"My three daughters were asleep in their beds, and thankfully unaware of what transpired," Acker wrote.
In a news release, the University of Michigan said more than 30 student protesters staged demonstrations at the private residences of at least one Board of Regents member and went to several other residences. The protesters placed tents and fake corpses wrapped in bloodied sheets on the lawn, marched and chanted in the early morning and posted lists of demands on doors.

Masked protesters held demonstrations at the private residences of at least one University of Michigan Board of Regents member and went to several others' residences on May 15, 2024, the university said. (University of Michigan)
The protesters hid their identities with masks. On social media, the university's chapters of Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP), Students Allied for Freedom and Equality (SAFE) and Transparency, Accountability, Humanity, Reparations, Investment, Resistance (TAHRIR) Coalition took credit for the demonstrations. The same groups were responsible for organizing the anti-Israel encampment on the university's Central Campus Diag, school officials said.
The university said the protesters began to disperse after law enforcement arrived on the scene.
"This form of protest is not peaceful," Acker wrote. "Public officials should not be subject to this sort of intimidating conduct, and this behavior is unacceptable from any Michigan community member, especially one led by someone who called for the death of people they disagree with."
The university said tactics embraced by the protesters were "a significant and dangerous escalation" in anti-Israel protests that have been occurring on campus. The student groups behind the action said the boundaries of a Gaza encampment on the school's campus are now "limitless."

Student protesters set up tents and demonstrated outside of Regent Sarah Hubbard's home.  (University of Michigan)
During the school's May 4th commencement ceremony, a group of roughly 50 protesters displaying Palestinian flags and chanting antisemitic slogans marched toward the stage as U.S. Secretary of the Navy Carlos Del Toro was speaking and addressing newly commissioned officers.
In addition, planes flew overhead displaying pro-Palestinian slogans and some of the protesters wore keffiyehs, clothing that has become a symbol of Palestinian solidarity, graduate Benny Shaevsky told Fox News Digital. Law enforcement confronted the protesters and pushed them toward the back where they remained for the rest of the event, he said.
Tumblr media
Anti-Israel student protesters have demanded the University of Michigan divest from Israel amid the war in Gaza. Protesters left bloodied stuffed animals outside the private residence of a school official and posted a list of demands on the door.  (University of Michigan)
For approximately three weeks, the University of Michigan has contended with an anti-Israel encampment that sprung up as part of the nationwide protest movement that began at Columbia University in New York City in April. Protesters have clashed with authorities and the school has reported incidents of vandalism. They have demanded that the school fully divest from companies invested in Israel and claimed a third of the university's $18 billion endowment is tied to Israel, which the school has denied, MLive reported.
While the school says it respects the free speech rights of students, officials clarified that "going to an individual’s private residence is intimidating behavior and, in this instance, illegal trespassing. This kind of conduct is not protected speech; it’s dangerous and unacceptable."

an incomplete list of hate crimes in the past fourteen (14) days against jews not in Israel, in no particular order
A shul was defaced with swastikas (Minneapolis, US)
A shul was firebombed (Montreal, Canada)
An ATM dispensed antisemitic banknotes, complete with 'Fuck Jews' (Sydney, Australia)
Swastikas at public high schools (Virginia, US)
Antisemitic stickers at the Boston University Campus ("spreading" from Harvard)
More antisemitic grafitti (Indiana, US)
(or maybe 12) 5 antisemitic attacks in Zurich (Zurich, Switzerland)
(or 13) Swastika grafitti in Pittsburgh, where I live (Pittsburgh, US)
(or 14) A car burned and grafitti sprayed in another antisemitic attack in Australia (Australia)
(or 15) That Melbourne arson attack (Melbourne, Australia)
(or 16) Jordan Acker's home was vandalized (Michigan)
(or 17) The San Francisco Hillel was vandalized with antisemitic grafitti (San Francisco, US)
(or 18) An Israeli in California was wounded after someone DROVE A FREAKING CAR INTO THEM (California, US)
(or 19) Someone intentionally cut off the peyot of a Jewish boy in New Jersey, akin to ripping the hijab off a Muslim woman, only it takes a while for her to get another hijab (New Jersey, US)
Mind you, as far as I know, this was a relatively typical two weeks. Goodness knows there were many more that went unreported. And many of these were basically unreported in the non-Jewish news, because no one really pays attention unless it's something big, like arson. Imagine if some tailor destroyed the hijab of a Muslim girl after saying not to, as her mother begged for him to stop. National news, right? But if it's a Jew - no one cares.
But tell me more about how antisemitism isn't a big problem and I shouldn't worry again.

The University of Michigan’s alleged frustration with local prosecutors stems from a November campus sit-in at which Ann Arbor police arrested a group of 40 protesters. The Washtenaw county prosecutor Eli Savit, a progressive prosecutor who is also Jewish, announced in May that his office would dismiss 36 cases and recommend four for diversion programs where they faced a light punishment.
That incensed U-M’s pro-Israel regents and police department because they wanted swifter, tougher charges, according to sources with knowledge of the process, who spoke with the Guardian on the condition of anonymity. They then asked Nessel to take the cases and university police sent warrant requests to her office.
Multiple legal observers said it is unprecedented for a state attorney general to take protest cases instead of local prosecutors. In September, ACLU Michigan wrote in a statement that it was “especially concerned” the state’s highest law enforcement office was deployed to issue only minor charges, such as misdemeanor trespassing, for some protesters.
[...]
U-M denied wrongdoing, and the university and regent Jordan Acker said it was “not true” that the university asked Nessel to investigate, but rather that Nessel offered to take the cases. He then said the attorney general’s unprecedented involvement in a protest case was justified. “I would say I don’t think we have seen anything like this before either, where you have a coordinated, foreign-funded student protest that is engaging in violent activity,” Acker said. (There is no evidence the encampment received any foreign funding, and students blame reports of any violence that took place when the encampment was cleared on police.)
[...]
Nessel received $25,000 from the Michigan Jewish Democratic caucus, which was founded and is partially funded by state representative Noah Arbit, an outspoken pro-Israel politician, “good friend” of Nessel and frequent critic of pro-Palestinian advocates. He recently labeled student protesters “sick cowards”.
Meanwhile, a Democratic U-M donor and school of information board member who last year faced no consequences after allegedly verbally and physically assaulting Arab American students has, along with her husband who is a university donor, given $26,000 to Nessel.

Since just like with a certain voice actress on a 2000s Cartoon Network show, there's not a lot of information on in this case writer/director Shane Acker, the man behind the dark, twisted, action-horror post-apocalyptic animated film 9 from you guessed it 2009.
So here's all the trivia that I could find on the guy if anyone's interested in reading for yourself:
Tumblr media
• In an interview, Acker cut to the chase on why he hasn't directed a movie since aforementioned 2009 and here's what he said — "Have a lot of the movies I've been attached to as director fallen into development hell, yes. But the bigger reason is mainly personal, I've just been living my own life. I would absolutely love to direct another feature or anything really but at the same time, I'm enjoying what I already have in life. I'm kind of a schlub that way right down to the fact that I'd nowadays rather sit back on a nice Sunday, watch football and eat bacon and pepperoni pizza than deal with modern studio executives who probably get higher pay every time they yell and scream in your ear".
• He's already listed The Brothers Quay, Don Hertzfeldt, Jan Svankmajer and brothers Christoph Lauenstein as influences previously however recently he's named Terrence Malick, Edgar Wright, Gore Verbinski, Jordan Peele and Richard Kelly as some of his favorite filmmakers.
• Speaking of favorites, he's given some of his favorite movies — Donnie Darko, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, Dredd, The Watcher In The Woods (1980) and The Chronicles Of Narnia: Prince Caspian (surprisingly).... then he gave some his favorite TV shows — Tales From The Crypt, Bob's Burgers, Squid Game, Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Sons Of Anarchy.
Tumblr media
• When asked what was it like working with Tim Burton since he was producer, Acker spoke high praise saying "I would work with him again if the time comes. Tim was a phenomenal producer who allowed for so much creative freedom while at the same time contributing his unique voice and view to the project".
• On the flip side, here's what he thought of the other producer Timur Bekmambetov — "He was very, very, very, very, VERY fucking russian as all hell. I'm surprised he was a Hollywood producer..... he was quite the interesting person".
• He does indeed have an idea for a new project that he not only wants to do but intends on having it be his second film as director, describing it as "The Incredibles crossed with Raiders Of The Lost Ark, it's an animated action-adventure with edge we haven't seen since honestly the early 2010s. I'm still deciding on whether it should be another PG-13 or an actual R".
Tumblr media
• On modern media, here's his blatant thoughts on it so tough shit to any dope who reads this and gets offended because of stupid reasons — "I think it's been awful. There's barely any genuine storytelling now and instead it's all politics. It's all about representation, obnoxious wokeness, pandering, subverting expectations and shoving as much modern bullshit themes into them than actually telling stories with characters who you care about".
• He's most certainly not a fan of a certain film called Star Wars: The Last Jedi — "I know this is saying quite a lot since I've only been able so far to direct one feature but honestly I wish Last Jedi was never made at this point. Not only is it a truly terrible movie but it's created so much hostility, so much shilling, so much toxicity that it becomes unbearable. If this is that film's legacy than it's a failure".
• There is however one positive about all of this and it's that the one movie that he's excited for and interested in — what is it....

University of Michigan using undercover investigators to surveil student Gaza protesters
from the article:
The University of Michigan is using private, undercover investigators to surveil pro-Palestinian campus groups, including trailing them on and off campus, furtively recording them and eavesdropping on their conversations, the Guardian has learned.
The surveillance appears to largely be an intimidation tactic, five students who have been followed, recorded or eavesdropped on said. The undercover investigators have cursed at students, threatened them and in one case drove a car at a student who had to jump out of the way, according to student accounts and video footage shared with the Guardian.
Students say they have frequently identified undercover investigators and confronted them. In two bizarre interactions captured by one student on video, a man who had been trailing the student faked disabilities, and noisily – and falsely – accused a student of attempting to rob him.
The undercover investigators appear to work for Detroit-based City Shield, a private security group, and some of their evidence was used by Michigan prosecutors to charge and jail students, according to a Guardian review of police records, university spending records and video collected in legal discovery. Most charges were later dropped. Public spending records from the U-M board of regents, the school’s governing body, show the university paid at least $800,000 between June 2023 and September 2024 to City Shield’s parent company, Ameri-Shield.
[...]
In a statement, the University of Michigan said it had not received any complaints about the investigators. It did not deny the surveillance. “Any security measures in place are solely focused on maintaining a safe and secure campus environment and are never directed at individuals or groups based on their beliefs or affiliations,” a spokesperson said in an email.
City Shield did not respond to a request for comment, nor did Jordan Acker, a regent and an outspoken critic of the protesters.
The university has had an antagonistic relationship with pro-Palestinian campus groups, which have been organizing protests and demanding the university divest from Israeli companies, and set up an encampment in 2024. It took the unusual step of recruiting Nessel to prosecute students charged with alleged crimes during 2024 protests instead of allowing local prosecutors to handle the cases, as is typical. The Guardian previously detailed the regents’ close personal, financial and political relationships with Nessel.
Regent documents and media reports show at least $3m in spending by the university on security – undercover and not – and higher education consultants in response to students’ activity on campus.

University of Michigan Hired Private Investigators to Surveil Anti-Genocide Students: Report Editing Team / June 06, 2025 at 12:41PM/ https://ift.tt/iVbMewz image/video: false According to the report, five students said the surveillance felt like a tactic to intimidate them. Some described being cursed at, threatened, and followed by car. In one case, a student had to jump out of the way to avoid being hit. Many of these investigators appear to work for City Shield, a private security firm based in Detroit. Records show the university paid at least $800,000 to City Shield’s parent company, Ameri-Shield, between June 2023 and September 2024. Students said they were able to identify dozens of undercover agents. Some of these agents sat near them in cafés and bars to listen to their conversations. Others faked disabilities or made false accusations of theft to create confusion and fear. Katarina Keating, a member of Students Allied for Freedom and Equality (SAFE), said the surveillance began for her in November. “They have spent millions of dollars to hire some goons to follow campus activists around,” Keating said. “It’s just such a waste of money and time.” Josiah Walker, another SAFE member, recorded investigators who followed him. In one video, a man accused Walker of mocking disabled people. In another, the same man pretended to be deaf and later shouted false accusations that Walker tried to rob him. Walker said he counted at least 30 different people tailing him before he stopped keeping track. He later discovered that some of them were part of a group chat called “U-M intel,” which included University of Michigan police. Walker faced misdemeanor trespassing charges in 2024. Those charges were dropped after body-camera footage and videos raised questions about how the evidence was gathered. “The degree to which all these entities are willing to go to target me is amazing.,” Walker said. “Leave me alone.” Another student, Henry MacKeen-Shapiro, was sentenced to four days in jail based on claims by City Shield agents that he violated a court order by posting flyers on campus. He denies the accusation. Attorney General Dana Nessel and the FBI under President Donald Trump have also taken part in raids targeting student activists. Students say the level of surveillance increased sharply after those actions. The University of Michigan confirmed it had hired security contractors but denied any bias. “Any security measures in place are solely focused on maintaining a safe and secure campus environment,” a university spokesperson said. “They are never directed at individuals or groups based on their beliefs.” City Shield and University Regent Jordan Acker declined to comment. Legal experts say this may be an unprecedented use of private security to monitor students. “This certainly is not the best thing for a culture of free speech on campus, because it does cause a chilling effect, said Lindsie Rank, a free speech advocate. The crackdown comes amid a nationwide wave of protests against Israel’s genocide in Gaza. As anti-genocide activism grows on US campuses, many universities have responded with increased policing, surveillance, and disciplinary action. Under President Trump’s second term, federal agencies have taken a more aggressive stance. A special task force on antisemitism has reviewed billions in federal grants to pressure schools like Harvard and Michigan. While Harvard pushed back, the University of Michigan appears to have complied—at the cost of student trust, privacy, and freedom of expression.

Ole Miss: 2025 Gator Bowl Champions
Tumblr media
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- — Jaxson Dart's final college pass was a 69-yard touchdown that got him chewed out by coach Lane Kiffin on the sideline.
It's one the quarterback will never forget.
Dart threw for 404 yards and four touchdowns in his final start for Ole Miss, leading the 16th-ranked Rebels to a 52-20 romp over Duke in the Gator Bowl on Thursday night.
Dart connected with Jordan Watkins seven times for 180 yards and two scores, including the longest pass play of the night with 1:27 to play. Kiffin ripped him for it afterward.
“I love him except for the last play when he checks to a pass play he’s not supposed to do,” Kiffin said. “He's got to learn a little better class there.”
Dart added 43 yards rushing, leaving EverBank Stadium with grass and dirt stains all over his red and white uniform.
The senior never considered opting out of the bowl game. Instead, he helped the Rebels (10-3) make history. With the victory, Ole Miss notched double-digit wins in consecutive years for the second time in program history and the first since 1959-60.
“This place changed my life," Dart said. "It was the best decision that I made. Just the relationships that I built with everybody here will last a lifetime.”
Ulysses Bentley IV, another senior playing his last college game, ran for 70 yards and two scores for the Rebels. Isaiah Hamilton returned an interception 50 yards for a touchdown early in the third quarter. All of them got to celebrate with sideline dunks on a portable basketball hoop adorned with Duke logos.
This ACC-SEC postseason matchup was never close. It wasn’t expected to be, either. Ole Miss was a 17 1/2-point favorite, according to , mostly because the Blue Devils (9-4) were without quarterback Maalik Murphy and running back Star Thomas. Both entered the transfer portal after Duke’s regular-season finale.
Third-year sophomore Henry Belin IV made his second career start and was harassed all night. Belin completed 25 of 44 passes for 236 yards, with two touchdowns and the interception. He was sacked three times.
Belin’s TD passes were two of the team's few highlights. Sahmir Hagans' 99-yard kickoff return — off a cross-field lateral, no less — was another.
One of Ole Miss’ few miscues came when Kiffin called for a trick play on fourth down. Kicker Caden Davis’ pass got picked off in the end zone, and Dart took nearly every snap the rest of the way.
“I think the thing that jumped out today is a special quarterback who played special," Duke coach Manny Diaz said.
The takeaway
Duke: The Blue Devils won't put too much stock into the loss, not with Belin getting a rare start and more offensive help on the way.
Ole Miss: The Rebels had most of their starters play in the bowl, a testament to how they feel about Dart and Kiffin. CB Jadon Canady and RT Micah Pettus, both starters, entered the transfer portal. And LB and leading tackler Chris Paul Jr. opted out to prepare for the draft process.
Key injuries
Duke cornerback Terry Moore, who intercepted the kicker’s pass on the trick play, left the game in the first half and ended up in the locker room. Ole Miss offensive lineman Eli Acker injured his right knee on an extra point in the second period and was helped off the field.
Chewed-up field
The field at EverBank Stadium was far from pristine. The center section of grass was mostly chewed up, looking more like a community sandlot than the bright-green sod that usually seems pulled from a resort golf course. The Jaguars hosted Tennessee in an NFL game four days earlier, leaving little time to get the turf in its best shape. Overnight temperatures in the 40s didn’t help regrowth, either.
Up next
Duke awaits the arrival of former Tulane QB Darian Mensah, who will reportedly get $8 million in NIL funding over two years to play for the Blue Devils.
Ole Miss will turn to highly touted left-handed QB Austin Simmons, a redshirt freshman from Miami. Simmons enrolled two years early and spent the last two seasons watching and learning from Dart.

Tumblr media
These are important tags I think.
After googling this myself trying different search queries and filtering results, I managed to filter out a lot of the garbage results and got some of these as hits from major news sources. I seriously doubt that there's any particularly coordinated effort being made here*, but rather is a rancid combination of:
Clicks-based reporting (which will deselect a lot of legitimate findings about antisemitism and/or things framed fairly, because the other stuff is more popular, because the population is antisemitic)
Overall poor reporting quality (journalism has largely seen a slump in quality as news reports are forced to keep up a constant firehose of current up-to-the-minute stories to remain competitive), and,
Unchecked antisemitic bias from the reporters and writers themselves.
That said, the effect is the same: stories on antisemitism don't sell unless they are reported in an antisemitic way or against one's political enemies, and there aren't good checks on journalism bias to counterbalance this problem. Jews as a group are far too small in number to make a measurable impact on our own, and we lack the solidarity necessary to shift the cultural conversation, so the antisemitism narratives continue to perpetuate themselves.
Anyway, for my fact-checking girlies out there:
(*Documented attempts to steer leftist conversations about I/P and antisemitism from Qatar aside)
I think news sites are straight up trying to bury antisemitism stories. They have started avoiding using words like antisemitism and Jews almost full stop. At least the big papers. I google Jews or antisemitism often to look for news about how bad it’s getting but when I tried looking up the Anne frank play that was besieged by Neo Nazis the only way I found the articles was by specifically googling nazi flag. And it turns out there were like ten antisemitic rallies that threatened Jews in buildings and areas in the last few days ONLY covered by local media and none of them show up by googling Jews or antisemitism. SEO seems to be the reason. Maybe so Jews don’t show the articles around and people don’t connect the rise of far right and far left (let’s call a spade a spade, terrorist organizations both domestic and foreign) groups. Since people from the far left and far right are the people reading the articles the most and usually the ones writing. Idk. It feels disgusting to have my safety and existence be threatened and for these vultures gleefully making money on it.
