The Cross deserves way more recognition. Like they are such a cool band and I’m so pissed that I only know the member’s names (apart from Roger Taylor and a bit about Spike Edney) I know someone posted a questionnaire they did about what bands they were in before but that’s kind of it. I want to discuss their songs with people and how the music makes me feel.

I understand why many who surround the musicians that departed want to keep working within the same parameters, though I do ask myself in the case of Queen what are Taylor and May's actual motives. I mean, they had so many singers who replaced Mercury, yet none of them achieved his stature. Then again, that remains a highly impossible task, but I think they had a correct notion with Paul Rodgers, i.e. they went outside the box. Nonetheless, their album with him shows they couldn't really fully integrate him, though the moniker of the band, Queen + Paul Rodgers, probably gave us a hint what we're dealing with. Still, some tunes manage to achieve great results, such as the one in the link, yet you do feel like both Taylor and May saw Mercury singing this.

If you ask me, the most interesting case of the frontman replacement remains Queen. The fact they're actually continuing as a band baffles me, because you cannot substitute Freddie Mercury. I feel like both Taylor and May know what, which is why they worked mostly with those who don't resemble him. We already discussed their cooperation with Paul Rodgers, released under the moniker of Queen. I still think the LP should be seen as Mr. Rodgers' solo disc, where the two members of Queen guest. Nonetheless, I do understand, why they chose to revive Queen on this platter, both of them wanted to see on whether or not they still got the stuff. I would say they do, some songs on Cosmos Rocks are intriguing, though they really should use another label for this collaboration.

Queen's biopic movie Bohemian Rhapsody is coming this November 2nd from 20th Century Fox studios. Why implementing pay-for-performance is challenging
Medicare’s Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) aims to link physician quality of care to their reimbursement.  At first glance, paying more to high quality physicians seems like a great idea. However, a paper by Liao et al. (2018) surveys physicians from a large national sample maintained by the American College of Physicians (ACP).  They find some key concerns physicians have over MIPS:
Respondents reported believing that MIPS would encourage behaviors that could represent unintended consequences (results not shown). The majority believed that it would encourage physicians to “focus on aspects of care being measured to the detriment of other unmeasured aspects of care” (69 percent), “avoid sicker or more medically complex patients to improve performance on quality or utilization measures” (60 percent), and “change clinical documentation to improve performance on quality measures” (56 percent).
In part due to these concerns and the reporting burden it placed on physicians, the Medicare Payment Advisory Commitee (MedPAC) recommended eliminating MIPS and instead creating a voluntary value-based reimbursement scheme for physicians.
