I'm 28, and I found JWCC when I was 25 I think. I joined a Discord server and almost all of them were below 18. It was so isolating because I'm trans and an adult, and I felt like I couldn't truly engage with any of them because of all the anti-trans panic nonsense. While there were a few actual adults, none of them talked to me. And only the moderator was actually older than me and she was never online.

Well last fall, one of my friends in the server experienced a loss and was sad, but they felt overshadowed by another person's vent. I tried to help him feel better but he thought I was trolling him, and he told me I can't talk to him anymore. I left the server voluntarily to get him time to cool down, but in a DM the moderator said she doesn't want me back in the server.

About three months before this, another friend abandoned me because I texted them while they were sick, which I didn't know because they didn't text me. We had read and fell in love with each other's fanfics, and they helped me come out as nonbinary first and then trans.

Losing these people was traumatic.

This the reason why I stopped most of my JWCC/JWCT writing for almost a year.

i feel like every jwcc/jwct account i've clicked on and followed has been 15yo is that like the required age to be in the fandom you are either 15 or 20 there's no in between

It's a two-week long event celebrating the release of Jurassic World: Chaos Theory and with it the return of our favorite characters and found family. It's not a competition, it's meant to be a way to celebrate this new show and have fun with this incredible fandom!

-> who can participate and how?

anyone can participate by making content based off one of the prompts showed in the official post. however, you don't necessarily have to stick to the prompts. if your idea differs a little from them, you're still free to submit it

-> what can i create for this event?

pretty much anything! fanart, gifsets, fanfictions, moodboards, textposts, edits, as long as it centers around jwcc/t it's good to go!

-> what content is allowed in this event?

as for what can be submitted for this countdown event, there are only 2 simple rules:

all works must be SFW. for example, for fics this would mean nothing above the T rating in ao3. i want everyone in the fanbase to be able to participate in this event. character x reader content will also not be allowed.

don't steal other people's work! and please don't submit works made by/with AI

Whatever cold weather he was expecting was nothing compared to all the negative press.

Daniel Kon hadn't spoken more than twenty words to Kenji in the year since Ben had entered his life, but he was adamant that he hadn't been the one to leak it.

Kenji called bullshit on that claim after rumors spread online that Kenji was dating a man.

He was unable to hide it from the public any longer, the unrelenting whispers and sharp glances piercing through him, and in an effort to finally get it off his chest, he'd called a press conference at the Spokane International Airport.

A wall of reporters from various local and national news stations blocked his path to the car, microphones held out eagerly towards him. Whatever he said today would set the course of his remaining life. He wasn't going to survive this, not the way he wanted to.

"Mister Kon, when did you come out as gay?" a reporter from KREM 2 News asked him, her voice lofting over the others.

"Okay, I'm not Mister Kon, that's my dad," Kenji said, struggling to breathe normally. "Also, I never came out as gay."

A cacophony of voices erupted for one second before the same reporter fired off her next question. "If you are not gay, why are you dating a man?"

Kenji swallowed hard, scrunching his brows at the retort. "Bisexual people exist. I am one of those people. I like men and women, I just have a preference for men."

Loud chatter engulfed him again before a man's voice rose above the rest. This reporter was from MSNBC. "Mister Kon, how long have you been bi?"

"I am not Mister Kon!" Kenji snapped, a sudden lapse in his cool, obnoxious public image. Closing his eyes briefly, he allowed himself a second to collect his thoughts, and then he spoke. "I've been bisexual my whole life. I hid it from my father, Mister Kon, because I wanted to please him by pretending to be straight. But, you know … that didn't work."

Over the next wave of clamouring voices, one from KXLY 4 News Now pierced through the rest, loud enough for Kenji to hear. "Where is your boyfriend?"

"He's in a city called Nunya, Nunya Business!" Kenji snapped, jabbing a finger toward that reporter as he backed away from the crush of media.

Slamming the door to his blue Audi R8 Spyder, he let himself sag in the driver's seat, smoldering at all the thoughts whirling in his head. Gay man, Ben needs a therapist for his depression, Kenji might be gay, the girls need them, Ben needs a ride home from work, Ben needs Kenji.

"Things were supposed to be perfect. But they AREN'T, because of HIM!" he screamed at himself in the rear view mirror, pounding the steering wheel, the face staring back at him reminding him of his dad.

In a sudden fit of rage, Kenji let out a roar of suppressed anguish only he could hear, and his flailing arms struck his steering wheel six times, the horn responding each time.
