I feel for fans who feel the need to make kairi respected more in the fandom. However, I think it’s okay to acknowledge that she hasn’t been utilized properly for a long time (if ever tbh). I think we can like her AND want more for her, and saying you want more for her or criticizing the execution of her character over the years doesn’t mean you hate her etc.
But I get being frustrated by statements like “she’s useless,” etc. because I think that’s such an annoying (arguably bad) take. (I think the criticism should be, what she has been claimed to do was not executed in a way that is actually convincing).
I do also think the fact that her character is so weak, not just physically, but her presence in the franchise, could make for some really interesting character development. So I think maybe that’s a stronger argument than trying to claim she’s had a much bigger influence than she actually does atm?

RANT
Since some of you fuckwits hate me for saying "Nomura hates Kairi", let me make this clear:
I don't say it just to hate. I used to love KH (check my entire blog for evidence) but ever since Kairi has been utterly trashed and she so happened to be my favorite character, I decided to hate how KH became that way.
And I know for a fact Nomura indeed hates Kairi. KH4 will be no different. She will be trashed or irrelevant again.
Come back to this KH4 and I will be proven RIGHT. I would love to be proven wrong but guess what. Any "development" Kairi seems to be getting from here on out, they're 100% fake. Nomura doesn't want her succeeding because he HATES her.

noooo don’t advocate to get rid of one of the main character’s two best friends who narratively and symbolically has always represented home safety and stability in contrast to the one associated with change and risk that ultimately form a nice narrative balance between the things that change and the things that don’t because both are important in life when growing up she’s so cute ahahaha

Division Discourse [Terminus Edition] Welcome back to another issue of Division Discourse! [It’s been so long since I’ve done this]
Next on our list? Let’s find out the origins of OverDrive’s assistive and sibling team, Terminus! [WARNING — Like the previous edition, be warned in terms of an insane word count…This also applies to future versions.] ——————————————————————————————————————
Early Creative Process
At this point, I was pretty immersed with OverDrive’s development after 10 months of being in the community. Everything seemed pretty stable and I was getting the hang of things. Not only that, the topic of side characters or other team outside the DRB also peaked my interest…You can guess where this went. I thought to myself “What if I made another rap team outside of the DRB? An unofficial one that deals with my already established team…?” The cogs were already turning and a new idea was up on the table! After less than 10 months of pondering, Terminus was finally born, though not on the same level as OverDrive yet.
Etymology
Terminus comes from it’s Latin origin of the same name, which is defined as either “a final point in space or time; an end or extremity” or “the end of a railroad or other transportation route”. The best modern example of this would be the word “Terminal”, something that can also mean being close to death for an incurable disease… The pattern? All of these point at the end of a scenario. However, this is basically the opposite of what the team thinks, considering their goal of assisting OverDrive and preventing an “end” to their lifetime as a group as much as possible. Symbolism
No official symbols have been released for this team currently, but a presumed one would be a long grey X present in their logo, hinting at transportation or minor Roman god Terminus while the X easily represents opposition [See above] and the colour grey motions toward the phenomenon of “grey areas” that the team are trying to find around their world. Group Character Development
Due to the lack of interaction around the community so far, there hasn’t been much development surrounding the group as a whole. The best pieces of information would have to be stories that the members have appeared in or birthday event asks… — Individual Character Development —
It’s October of 2024 and the team has somewhat been established, all that was left were its members. I was stuck at this point. I didn’t have much motivation to create any new characters and I wasn’t sure which old OC’S to make use of…That was until I rechecked OverDrive’s family profiles. Sure, the siblings of the main trio were nothing special at the time and only made just to have some sort of family connection. None of them could possibly have any sort of story or lore that contributes to OverDrive already, right? Right!? Kairi Seishin
What’s not to like when you have an adorable sister that carries on your former legacy? If there isn’t another juicy sentence that would describe her, then what even is a true description about…? In the early days, Kairi was rendered as a positive upbeat sister when making her first appearance in OverDrive Drama Track 1. This trope continued up until Terminus was finally created. An interesting detail is her choice of career in the music industry, which turns out to be a DJ similarly to when Eko’s character was just developed. In Terminus’s debut season, Kairi was almost considered to be a female version of her brother, though slightly more lax and calculative. Having learned about Traffic Light becoming Chuohku hostages and manipulating Hypnosis Microphones, she easily jumped on the bandwagon and perfected her skills in under a month with the help of her musical skills along the way. Now, she goes beyond what others see of her. Though she may have doubts on her abilities or fearing the future ahead, her allies will always support her just as she does vice versa. Deciding to rise through her profession to enhance her skills, she’ll stop at nothing to get to the top and let her former scars fade into the past completely.
Shu Kamora [His quote under SONO is no joke, all the Scooby-Doo references aside]. Taking a closer look at Yuno’s siblings, I ended up splitting them into halves considering they match pieces of his personality. Let’s take a look at the 1st half, shall we? In the early days, Shu was displayed as the older brother on his family profile. This era possesses the least amount of character development aside from his own creation. His career in criminology points at Yuno’s obsessive desire to avenge his father, which is a factor the 2 siblings share together. In Terminus’s debut season, Shu was unexpectedly childish upon his arrival as a character. Loving to tease his sister and sometimes dote on Kairi, his protective nature began to stem after figuring out Mai’s sexual harassment surrounding NSDS Studio. Overtime, this increased to calling them a younger sibling figure. Now, his behaviour takes a different approach. Becoming an expert criminologist and keeping tabs around Fukuoka, he’s quite determined alongside his siblings to set his father free and go as far as to expose his captor to prevent any further incidents. As a side job, he doesn’t mind tossing a few rogue rap teams around, having known OverDrive beat them in a landslide…
Zaria Kamora [If you want to understand her somewhat better, just search up figures of justice and you’ll receive a chunk of her personality already] The other half of Yuno’s character, what will this one unfold for us? In the early days, Zaria was displayed as the older sister on his family profile. This era possesses the least amount of character development aside from her own creation. Unlike Shu, her career in advocacy points instead at exploiting Chuohku and avenging her father at a different angle. In Terminus’s debut season, Zaria appeared to be a slight grown up version of her youngest brother. Both carrying more commonalities, even Itsuki has difficulty telling the 2 siblings apart. Figuring out Yuno’s writing identity, she instead encouraged it and calls it another source to get the answers they truly need. Now, she takes life in stride despite its rough upbringing. Though her siblings are more focused on their current careers, Zaria tends to reminisce on her father more often and takes more time in showing other rap teams who’s the boss in her life. It all boils down to her everlasting love for both her family and given the opportunity of walking the very earth. ———————————————————————————————————— [HYPNOSIS MICROPHONE belongs to KING RECORDS]

"Overt hatred of female characters is often rooted in misogyny, as is their treatment by their creators" and "people, least of all women, don't owe sympathy to these characters for or in spite of the faults in their writing" are two statements that can coexist 👍
Media™ will have you swinging between "Why should I even give a shit about this character if their creator is the first one to treat them like dirt. Whatever man" and "I need to point a gun at everyone in the writing room and then surprise-kill myself in front of them" depending on the time of day. And that character? A woman

hi this is really stupid but a common misconception that's been bothering me for a LONG time and is constantly used in akuroku discourse.
"nomura saying nobodies dont age was a lie" has never been proved, their only evidence is zexion growing up because they think hollow bastion took a year or less to fall and organization 13 taking the same time, however this is not true and this is talked about in kh2.
in this secret ansem report, ansem says that he met xehanort YEARS ago, of course it's never confirmed how many years it's been by this point (and from what i know i believe it's only been 2-5 years, probably not above 7 because kairi was sent to destiny islands some time before this happened and seems to know sora and riku way too well, HOWEVER that is only my own intepretation.)
Tumblr media
i also highly doubt that axel himself would lie, he himself says that nobodys dont age either. he also describes roxas as being "AROUND 10 years seperate from when he himself became a nobody" which bbs was around 10 years before kh1 so because this is an estimate axel more likely meant a number above 7 years. this also goes with axel at one point saying something like one day were working for xemnas the next we're nobodies as if indiciating it probably wasn't more than 2 or 3 years.
however you can intepret axels age as whatever you want, but don't get mad over someone else's intepretation, i just personally feel like from what's shown in canon he is more likely only 2 years older than roxas.
"but roxas is 15" roxas does not have a canon age and is partially based on both sora and ventus as a result of them merging hearts. that does not make him only soras nobody he is also ventus's. he could be 15 or 16, or maybe not even have an age at all. and if you unironically call him 2 years old i am going to laugh im sorry.
if you headcanon akuroku to be age gap i also don't mind because i just don't care what people ship regardless, i think ship discourse is stupid especially when it mispreads information. like when people say vanven is canonically brothers when vanitas saying brothers was a metaphor for "my other half".
the "axel and zexion got too tall for it to only be 2 years" argument is stupid because did you see how tall riku got in only a year. (yes it was confirmed only a year) in canon now riku is most likely an adult during the events of kh4 because remind limitcut is a year after the events of base kh3.
Tumblr media
and axel was only around 15/16 in bbs, he is not gonna grow past 18 most likely gonna stop growing at 17 because that's how bodies work and i thought this was obvious idk. is it not common sense that growth spurts exist cuz we can see riku obviously had one as well
i honestly think it's really funny when the kh fandom just says every ship they don't like is problematic when it's either up to interpretation or just not toxic at all. if you dont like a ship that's PERFECTLY fine. just be respectful about it

babel is sooooo garbage though it’s got one cool core concept and the rest of it is so wildly unintentionally racist i don’t know how people don’t mention that when recommending it. and no i don’t mean reverse racism i mean the worldbuilding hinges upon other cultures just being much stupider than europe. it sucks!!!
I suspect you just want to fight on the internet, but I'm going to respond as if you weren't, so I can collect all my replies/posts about this in one place.
Every once in a while, I get an ask complaining about me including Babel by R.F. Kuang in this post. It broke containment, and if I were going to rewrite it today, I might not include that book. (I'd also make sure to add more SFF writing about colonialism/imperialism from authors outside the US, like R.S.A. Garcia's incredible Kairi/Grandmaster novella/short fiction series. It's a massive gap in my reading I'm working to fill. My ask box is open; recommendations are always welcome.)
Look, I sort of agree with you. Babel fails as a critique of colonialism, but it does a good job of exploring what it feels like to be BIPOC at an old, rich, powerful, white-dominated academic institution that has played (and continues to play) a role in imperialism. There's a lot of indoctrination to untangle and overcome. In America (and most of the world, let's be honest), you're constantly told how much better the West is, and has always been, than the East and global South. White supremacy is shoved down your throat from your very first classes as a child, and you're lucky if "world" history classes mention the entire continent of Africa after a few lines about ancient Egypt. It wasn't until grad school that I really started learning about the incredible spread and depth of Indigenous and global South advances in art and science, and finally found an explanation for why European societies developed certain (violent) technologies faster than other continents that went beyond simple racism. (Jared Diamond's Guns, Germs, and Steel is a flawed but insightful read.) My interpretation of Babel is that it's really about Kuang's struggle to reconcile her personal and academic knowledge of Chinese history/culture and the impact of European colonialism with internalized racism.
My frustration about all the discourse on the novel (beyond people thinking it goes way deeper than it does) is that it's ridiculous to demand subtlety in explorations of racism when people like Trump are running the country. I often find these demands coming from white Americans and British people upset at being called out for complicity, or simply mad about holes being poked in sanitized views of their countries, but who don't want to get roasted on Goodreads.

Hiii Kaaiirriii! Welcome back to front :3
If you don’t mind, I have a system related question I asked Remy but he couldn’t answer so he directed me to you ^^
We were having a lil convo and he mentioned y’all kinda discoursing on introjecting an Arcane character if I’m right, and I didn’t know that could just be done
How does it work? :3 If you want specific questions, I can do that! Also feel free to answer whenever you want to if you want to ^^
Hiya!
Okay! So this is interesting since Remy was the first to be introjected! All the other fictives in this system weren't introjected!
So for me it just felt like I was breaking of a piece of me and creating Remy out of it! This isn't the same for all systems so I do recommend going to a plural ask blog if you have any further questions!

Saw a rather mean post last night, and genuinely, I do not understand how people can play Persona 5 (particularly Royal), and come out thinking Akechi genuinely hates Joker when Morgana outright states for the audience, "You don't really hate Joker, do you?" Akechi laments how they didn't meet a few years earlier and how they could've been "great rivals, perhaps even friends." o_O Like... is this a vanilla thing? I genuinely don't get it. The interrogation room wasn't even his idea (SIU director mentions as much). It's not even about the ship- the game spells out that their bond is more complex, and it just so happens that a lot of people like to explore it as one. Even as platonic, tho, there's a shit ton of depth. Idk, any time I see discourse (especially people making fun of Shuake fans and stuff), I just question how many people actually paid attention to the dialogue. Even the "I hate you speech" reads as him being extremely emotionally constipated and conflicted. Plus, y'know...
Tumblr media
Very hateful. Sure. :p Idk, maybe certain playthroughs of the game remove all those moments where the game spells out that they have a special bond (Maruki even states it isn't based on hatred, but that's only if you get his third awakening). Just wish people would get off their high horses, if anything. Sometimes I see people get really condescending about liking Akechi or liking Shuake, and like... just block the tags if you don't like these things instead of posting untagged ship/character bashing and making fun of fans? At least have the decency to tag it as something that Shuake fans can filter because some of those posts are really mean-spirited. :/ You think we haven't heard it all before? I may be new to the fandom, but I have heard that this BS has been going on for years.
I don't think it really matters if there are "healthier" ship options because some of us prefer the messiness, the depth, and complexity. It's not for everyone, and I respect favoring more straightforwardly sweet and wholesome dynamics or wishing your favorite pair got more spotlight. I'm a Riku and Kairi shipper in Kingdom Hearts, for crying out loud. :P I get it, but you're not gonna win anyone over to your side by telling them that [insert ship here] is better. In my case, it makes me more averse because of how deeply their relationship in the confidant, engine room, and third sem touched me and seeing people go "yeah, but you are wrong for feeling that way, THIS is better" is just... yeah. :/ (Also, people gotta learn the difference between hitmen and serial killers. Akechi is the former, which I've ranted about before, but yeah.)
So many fandom problems could be solved if people didn't take the piss out of others for shipping something they don't personally like. x_x; By all means, feel the way you feel, it's okay to not like things.

My bio:
*read before you follow, like or interact!*
My name's Orion (my online nickname to protect my privacy)*. Here's some background about me:
I'm 30 years old
I'm an interfaith believer in Christ, with many additional Christian influences of Native American Christianity, Quakerism, Catholicism, Ringātu (Māori indigenous Christianity), Calvinism, Celtic Christianity, Hellenic (Greek) Christianity, Appalachian Indigenous Christianity, Hellenic (Greek) Judaism and Messianic Judaism as part of my faith and beliefs (yes, like it or dislike it, we interfaith Jewish believers in Christ exist. You don't have to worry about me forcing it on you as I'm aware it's a messy and complex topic to get into but don't get nasty, rude or disrespectful in my comments via invalidating my Jewishness or insistently trying to force me to not talk about my faith. Respect me and I'll respect you and vice versa).
This page and account is an adults only page for grown 21-30+ adults and older adults only.
I'm autistic, neurodivergent and mentally ill, with comorbid clinical depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, chronic and severe debilitating OCD, borderline personality disorder, complex PTSD, schizophrenia, antisocial personality disorder, schizoid personality disorder, schizotypal personality disorder, etc.; I believe in both professional diagnosis and in self diagnosis and every mentally ill and neurodivergent individuals' illness and neurodivergency presents differently in each individual, so don't start any pointless discourse as it always tips into ableism, disrespect, rudeness and neurotypical social desirability standards and I'm not in the mood for any of that.
*Besides Orion, I also use other nicknames for myself: Kairi, Kaworu, Dionne/Dionysus, Satsuki, Elliott, Orchid, Mars, Marama, Ares and Ashe.
I'm extremely mixed race, with extensive Black Native, Afro-Indigenous, Afro-Native, Afro-European, Afro-Aboriginal, Blasian, Romani, Melungeon, Asian-Indigenous and Jewish ancestry. Don't start any pointlessly rude and disrespectful discourse thinking you have any right to dictate how a mixed race and biracial individual should identify or express themselves or what they should look like; it's racist, featurist, colorist and plain rude, point blank.
I support the Jewish community especially as I'm Jewish and a Jew of color, so antisemitism will not be tolerated.
I'm also pro Palestinian and anti zionist and yes, like it or not, being Jewish doesn't automatically equate to being zionist and being Jewish doesn't require anybody to be zionist; plus, zionism's fascism and white supremacy, and with me also being a mixed race Afro-Palestinian / Palestinian Jew, I refuse to have anything to do with zionism. If you're zionist and have a problem with any of this, block me immediately.
I'm intersex. I was born intersex and have a large amount of intersex variants (i.e. polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), PCOS-related hypoandrogenism, XXX syndrome, Non-classical Cogenital Adrenal Hyperplasia (NCAH), hypogonadism, partial androgen insensitivity syndrome (PAIS), etc.); the only type of questions I'll answer are questions that are respectful not just to me but intersex folks at large, especially intersex women/femmes and black and brown intersex women/femmes of color and also intersex men/mascs and intersex men/mascs of color. Any questions that get invasively oversexual, rude and intrusive will be stopped immediately. And any form of intersexism, interphobia, intermisogyny, intermisogynoir as well as intermisandry and intermisandrinoir, whether it be intersexist erasure and invalidating intersex folks' existence, regurgitating of harmful and offensive right wing conservative or radical "feminist" eugenicism that reduces and stigmatizes, and wrongly and falsely paints intersex folks as medical deformities or pitiable defects in need of "fixing" (aka promoting unethical and unwanted surgeries that leave us intersex folks physically, mentally, emotionally and psychologically damaged and traumatized) or just any type of manipulative, abusive and disrespectful intersexist gaslighting and endosplaining will be reported and online trolls that do these things will be blocked. Oh, and if you're a radfem = instant block. Ya'll are the worst perpetrators of everything I mentioned and I know ya'll are bigoted, extremist IERFs (Intersex Exclusionary Radical Feminists) by proxy, and we have nothing to talk about and I have no interest in listening to any of the baloney ya'll have to say. Ya'll are not feminists and are not radical, ya'll are frauds and chronically online fake feminist Karens.
I'm an Appalachian and an Urban Appalachian and want to know more about that part of my culture especially given my Melungeon heritage and my roots in midwestern and southern states such as Texas, Louisiana, Virginia, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Ohio, Mississippi, Missouri, Tennessee, Illinois, Georgia, Indiana and Florida, and the Ozark Mountains.
DNI (do not interact) if you're: zionist (liberal or conservative), right wing conservative, Donald Trump/MAGA supporter, Andrew Tate defender/sympathizer, Amber Heard defender/sympathizer, Justin and Hailey Bieber fan or defender/sympathizer, Ron Desantis defender/sympathizer, Lovatic/Demi Lovato fan/defender, Trey Songz defender/sympathizer, Ronnie Radke defender/sympathizer, radfem, redpill fratdude, racist, white supremacist, misogynistic, misandristic, divester, an apologist for any type of abuse towards others, if you have any hateful antisemitic views, if you have anti Palestinian racist and xenophobic views, etc.
My sideblogs are @madswiftiemaggotjester (venting blog) and @alienbymidwestprincess (trashposting/memes/politics/humor/paranormal blog)

Not only did Nomura kill Kairi but he did so two times in a row! I'll have to see some serious redemption before I'm even remotely convinced he values her as anything other than manpain fodder or a plot device.

apologies if any of these have been asked before, feel free to ignore. from the ask game:
7. Is there anything you used to like but can’t stand now? 9. Most disliked character(s)? Why? 14. Unpopular opinion about your fandom? 19. What is your least favorite thing about your fandom?
Never feel bad for sending nice asks!
7. Is there anything you used to like but can’t stand now?
I'm going to assume "anything" means "a property". Well, I'm certainly not into Homestuck or Supernatural anymore. But that's a pretty easy shot to take if you were on Tumblr in the mid 2010s, and most of that can be attributed to me not being 13 anymore. I guess I can say Panic! At the Disco and Twenty One Pilots. I used to be really big into emo bandom when I was in middle school and now I can't fucking stand half the bands I used to keep up with because a lot of them turned out to be assholes in real life + their music went extremely downhill in quality as they aged. Such is growing up, I guess. They say never to meet your heroes.
9. Most disliked character(s)?
Let it not be said that I lack the conviction of a good petty hatred. When it comes to most of these characters, my dislike of them is genuine but also not that serious. If a character you love makes it on here then rest assured that I don't care and I'm not about to bite your head off.
A) Yoshiya Kiryu from The World Ends With You
I honestly just don't like his bitch ass. He's funny sometimes and he delivers a couple of really good lines, but I'm not very impressed with him as a whole. Mostly, Joshua just reads as a gifted kid who decided having more star stickers meant he was a superior species or something like that. That was intentional for sure. I don't have a problem with how he was written; his place in the story was perfectly good for what the devs were going for. I just find him insufferable and have no desire to make fan works with him present. Apparently he's only insufferable to me though, cause the whole fandom loves him to the exclusion of everything else.
B) Kairi from Kingdom Hearts
Look, I didn't want to dislike her. I hate coming off like a Gamer Bro who just doesn't want to see or think about women. I'm a certified dyke. I hate seeing a female character done dirty by her writers. Unfortunately, I think this is just one of those situations where a female character doesn't resonate with me because she's pushed too hard as a heterosexual love interest and the little kid lesbian in me says "UGH!! GROSS!!!" when she shows up. Well... maybe it's a little more complicated than that. Whenever the Gamer Bro Weirdos say bad shit about her then it's all Kairi town over here with me, but if it weren't for the freaks running away with it for the purposes of misogyny, I would be writing my own critiques of her like I would with any other character. (It's annoying to me that the recent evolution of feminist discourse leaves very little room for being like. legitimately annoyed with the bad representation of women and girls that we get. We just have to girlbossify her and shut up or whatever.) I think Kairi is a blatant example of the generic "Girl=Pink" character that exists in most male-target media, and her writers really should be criticized on that basis more often than they are. Some people are willing to take the crumbs and run away with them, and good on them. I'm not.
14. Unpopular opinion about your fandom(s)?
A) Punk music isn't exactly a fandom but I'll count it. Controversial opinion apparently: you don't need to do anything to be emo/goth/punk besides listen to and collect emo/goth/punk music. The rest is pick and choose. It bothers the shit out of me when people say something like "you can't be goth if ur homophobic/transphobic/mean/etc.!!!1!" like that's going to make people say "aww man" and walk off like the sad-ant-with-a-bindle image at the door to the goth club. Dude, assholes aren't barred from having a good music taste and wearing black leather. Like, sometimes--and I'm sorry to break this to the UWU softboy neo-punks out there--people you hate are going to be a part of your subculture whether or not you post an anime girl meme about it saying they can't. Music doesn't require moral purity. Not even punk music, which is sometimes very political. It's dumb when republicans bump Rage Against the Machine, but for every punk band that's progressive there's another one with shitty politics that sounds near identical. Some of the first punks turned out to be conservatives later in life. This is because punk was founded as a music subculture. The people who refuse to acknowledge this know nothing about alt music history. Punk is about music and having loud opinions. Good opinions and bad opinions are all punk if it's set to a screaming guitar and a tin can microphone.
B) For the TWEWY fans out there: Joshua's gayness is not actually a progressive win. At the time TWEWY was released, it was not considered a good thing for characters to be gay. He's the morally bankrupt villain of the first game who shot the main character multiple times and explicitly made plans to detonate a whole district of Tokyo because of his shitty and self-centered outlook on life. While he gets a bit of a rehabilitation at the last minute, Joshua is not exactly a good guy. At most he's a bit of an anti-hero. TWEWY is a great game and I love it to death, but it is far from perfect in how it treated both women and gay people. I'm tired of people acting like his gayness was meant to be anything besides another indication of him being immoral. In America in 2025, this might not occur to players anymore as an intentional thing. However, the game came out in 2007 in Japan--a conservative country that was once allies with Nazi Germany and was an occupying force in Korea--where gay marriage was and continues to be illegal. (I'm not insinuating that Japan is worse than any other country, because it isn't, but people treat the Japanese government like it can do literally no wrong and that Japanese conservatism is somehow less harmful than any other kind.) It would have been understood by the contemporary Japanese audience of 2007 that Joshua being "fruity" was a negative trait. I don't understand why I see so much uncomplicated praise and love for a gay villain stereotype with no recognition of the fact that Japanese queer people deserved BETTER from their media then, and that they deserve BETTER now.
19. What is your least favorite thing about your fandom?
Lack of creativity. It doesn't even matter what fandom I'm talking about because this applies to them all. I legitimately get annoyed at how cookie-cutter every fandom space feels. Like, can we please get some originality in here? Why is there never any interesting conflict in fanfiction? Why are characters always filed down and contorted to fit the most contemporary values of our time (which will be outdated in 10 minutes)? Why don't they get fleshed out with realistic issues or backstories? Why can't they fight with anyone? Why can't they be wrong about something and learn from it? And why does every character, no matter what their cultural, national, or ethnic background is, come across as a white culturally-christian American? Do you guys even care about exploring other cultures or is that just mouth flapping??? I know people write fanfic and engage in fandom for fun, but sometimes it feels like people will just take any possible excuse to be ignorant about foreign cultures or be incurious about people who think differently to themselves. Grow up.

The sources are from square enix, not a third party. It’s clear you are just going to keep changing the goalpost. Soriku wasn’t even the main focus of the post but you still got upset by it. If you prefer soriku good for you but I prefer sokai and I always have. Accuse me of being “surface level” all you want. It’s clear your entire argument is just calling me dumb and a “cishet”(I am not “het”. Bisexuals are real thanks) bigot so this conversation is over
Dude I don't even get what you're talking about with moving the goal post. Yeah I prefer Soriku. My main thing was a rebuttal both to your assertion that it's one of the few good, positive heterosexual relationships and dissecting why exactly it didn't seem to be optimal in my eyes either. My main argument wasn't even about Soriku per se, just bringing it up by comparison a few times. And you still didn't answer what exactly you were talking about when you said Soriku shippers take away from Kairi's accomplishments. Do you even have an example? Because maybe I do also have a misconception that can be rectified, like with the paopu fruit thing.
Like if in all the years and ages of media, where LGBT was often blatantly taboo, you're saying Sokai is one of the few positive ones, I don't know what to tell you man. And I never called you a bigot? I got the vibes from your original post based on everything else and especially the whole "no good hetero representation" argument. Like yeah do you be bi idc. I can still critique your takes without accusing you of anything. I mean fuck I have the agender flag in my pfp and asexual and aromantic in my bio I'm pretty sure, if you wanna talk about erasure. I don't give a shit about your sexuality, bi or otherwise, just your take. I only said in my first reblog you sounded unfriendly to the community with your argument about very little good hetero representation. Very reminiscent of "too much gay stuff let's have a straight parade" sorts of folks. And I said nothing about you being bi or being bigoted after that, so I'm not quite sure why you're crashing out this hard unless it's just that you're not liking the discourse on your public post made on a platform specifically for discourse.
It's clear that you have no interest in having a good faith discussion if this is your reaction. If you looked at my critique of your take and decided I was calling you dumb, then I'm sorry you took offense. But genuinely taking me saying a take is surface level and you twisting it into "accusing" you yourself as being surface level, proves, at least to me, that your argument is in bad faith. At best, you're sensitive and take critique on your post as a personal affront. At worst, you're intentionally twisting it as a way to be right in your own mind. Because rather than meet any of my discourse or even answer a genuine question head on you slink into my inbox as an anonymous question in some paltry attempt to what? Make me feel bad? Make me upset? Idk what you want man.
I am still interested in what way Soriku shippers take away Kairi's accomplishments though.
But yeah I didn't intent to call you cishet. I saw you were bi. I meant the argument sounded like that sort of take and that's on me for not wording it well.

Who would you say is the weakest character in Kingdom Hearts?
In terms of development? Kairi. The fandom that keeps trying to make her happen…. She sucks get over it
In terms of battle? Also Kairi
Strongest out of wielders of light Aqua and Sora (tho whether it’s because he is that strong or if it’s because of his heart is a discourse) and. Probably Axel there’s no way he would be able to weasel around as much as he has without being on the stronger end. And his quickness to gain a keyblade points to it too imo.
Wielders of Darkness beyond the obvious Xehanort trio I would probably say… maybe Larxene and Vanitas? And Marluxia.
