Hikari's rage is a very deep seated thing, but it is not indiscriminate. She'll scarcely go on the offensive to one undeserving of her wrath unless she's pushed, and even then it's decidedly NOT offense. It's defense. Putting up walls to defend herself if she feels threatened and saving her important feelings when they're necessary. Vampirism had her stuck in a nonstop rage-- everything felt so intense and hateful, and she couldn't control her emotions or how she felt, so she's learned to compartmentalize everything. It takes about a week of training before she starts actively opening up again. She lingers close by when the hamon crew congregates in one place, she may crack a dry one liner and be genuinely delighted if it gets a chuckle, someone encourages her and she looks way more confident.

It's not that she doesn't like caesar, or joseph, or suzie q, or anyone. She's suffering from homesickness, being thrust into a very tight deadline with no wiggle room, with people she doesn't know. She nearly died under the coliseum, watched someone get walked in half, misses her husband, and every day is another day she measures her progress and feels that, maybe, things are looking up.

About halfway through the month, Straizo leaves a letter on the desk in her room, knowing all the shadows to hide in and the layout of the island. They meet on the mainland at night, Hikari disguising it as a grocery trip, and she gets the information that while Straizo had infiltrated Kars' ranks, he tells her that LaBrie is there. And after that, she almost regresses in front of her peers. She becomes more anxious, prone to snapping. Rarely she'll find time to calm down, time she covets, but even in her best hours there's this undercurrent of urgency.

the labrie fight takes place after caesar's presumed death. She goes with Lisa Lisa as a hostage for the stone, recommended by Straizo not only because he trusts her to help protect his daughter, but because he's deliberately setting up the confrontation. Giving Hikari an opening to kill LaBrie. Because LaBrie cannot help himself in trying to kill Hikari while she's off guard, because above all he's a sniveling coward that knows he can't take her head on. Straizo makes LaBrie look like the traitor to Kars that was feeding the hamon users information only to turn on them before he was caught to eliminate anyone he thought knew in a bid to undermine Kars. This is decidedly a lie, but considering LaBrie was caught trying to fatally attack Hikari in that moment, this basically sealed LaBrie's fate. Now they're in one of the gladitorial arenas of Skeleton Heel Stone, fighting as a pregame for the race before Joseph arrives.

You guys wanna guess what results from immense grief from losing a dear friend and 3 years of pent up aggression that's yearned to escape to finally destroy the intended target??? Because lemme tell ya brother it ain't pretty!!

it gets extra dangerous for hikari because she's so desperate to draw out the fight and make him hurt for what he's done but if he decides to turn her again or god forbid use his Tailored Vampiric Technique on her she'll have to contend w that. It's not a curbstomp because hikari is literally just toying with him, and she'll see consequences for that.

If they ever made a Strega spinoff……omg. I think I would like. Actually collapse or something. It’d be so amazing. And frankly Strega could REALLY use a spin-off — they deserve to have their storyline be more delved into and explored!! They are such an interesting trio of characters and I think (if done correctly) they could really benefit from a spin-off. At the same time though I could see Atlus potentially like…..not writing their characters well in a spin-off or something….I guess what I’m saying here is that I want Atlus to personally hire ME specifically to make a Strega spin-off! ☺️ LMFAOO all I’m saying is I could put all those hours of analyzing them to good use!! 🙏🙏🙏

ALSO! P4 remake PLEAASEEEEE OH MY GOD 😭😭😭 however. If they do end up remaking p4 they have GOT to step up their game and change some stuff around bc….oh my goodness 😞 I love p4 so so much but some stuff really has to change. The thought of a p4 remake makes me really excited but also really nervous bc ik there’s gonna be some people pushing the “keep it exactly the same don’t change anything at all” rhetoric and I’m like…..no actually they really should change some stuff 😭😭 like. For real. A p4 remake gives Atlus a chance to take a wonderful storyline/characters and really strengthen it by not making the plentiful amount of mistakes they made the first time — like this is seriously a great chance for them. The whole “accept yourself” message sort of fell flat in the original because of how they treated the characters — I think the main issue, in my eyes at least, is that p4 had such a great layout for its characters, but then they’d sideswipe everything at the end or make a joke out of it. It was like I was watching the writers self-sabotage themselves in live action. I really hope they rethink a lot of that stuff if they remake p4, because it’s essential to have the characters actually accept their entire selves when pushing the “accept yourself” message, instead of pushing a lot of stuff under the rug/flat out ignoring it. I could also go into how Naoto’s storyline was NOTTT portrayed well, especially viewing it as a trans guy, but I’ll leave that for another rambling session. Anyways! I adore p4 and would love to see it remade, but they really need to change some things around in order to give it the impact it deserves.

Okay last thing lmfao. So far I’ve really loved the persona spin-off exclusive characters (Sho, Kanami, Labrys, etc.) so I hope they get some sort of spotlight in the future. P1 / P2 remakes would be cool as well! I’ve never gotten the chance to play them so I’d really look forward to that.

Fav Dungeon:

Adachi’s!! They did such a good job with the atmosphere and music…it’s so great. Adachi will always be a favorite antagonist of mine because he’s such an interesting character to observe from an analytical viewpoint, and I think his dungeon does a great job of capturing his overall character!!

If you're wondering why I Labrys' weapon is drawn separately (and incomplete) when Sho's doesn't, I kinda screwed up during the process and forgot to draw their weapon, so I decided to draw them separately and attach them later. Sho's is kinda easier to attach, but not Labrys' and I got lazy during her part and just... decided to only complete the part that's gonna be visible. Then I attached her weapon separately when editing the game layout. Lol.
