The courts are proving useful. The judicial branch is the only thing holding back maga so far!

We have seen a few good political wins lately.
• Some US aid payments have been demanded to be paid.
• Birthright citizenship is protected.
Edit: I added sources. The intersex one was a Montana thing only so I removed it. I also clarified this post a bit. Sorry y'all for the confusion.

My dad’s always been this proud patriot American type (mind you he’s an old-school democrat born ‘61). He’s seen many things America has done: The Cold War, The Vietnam War, Kent State, The Iraq War, etc. Yet despite his opinions, my dad still says, “America is the best country in the World”.
Yet, recently, during a discussion about European vs American infrastructure (of which he agrees with me on, he’s been to Europe), he tried still to say to me, “We’re still the greatest country in the world”.
I interrupt him and said, “We elected Donald Trump, twice”
My dad stopped mid-point, nodded his head to the side, and said, “Fair point.”
So congratulations, Donald Trump! My dad’s decades of Cold War propaganda have been undone, by you, just sitting in the White House.

I find it funny when conservatives claim that stalin and mao were literally hitler when they mourn the loss of someone who led and assisted in the genocide (henry kissinger) of millions and excuse slavery, the trail of tears, interventionism, american atrocities in vietnam and korea, the gaza genocide, and segregation. please y'all, make up your mind before you come at leftists, my god

This man (the boarder Czar) is evil. He and others are the reason immigrants are being sent to concentration camps (in guantanamo bay).
Tumblr media
History will see him as he is. Evil. He is quoted as saying at CPAC, "I'm not going to be satisfied until every Criminal Alien gang member every Criminal Alien every trenda agua is is is eradicated from this country" and just remember that this people see not having documentation as a crime in itself.
This is what is being done in guantanamo bay.
Tumblr media
A modern day concentration camp is being built. This place has been historically known to be used by the USA to do crimes against humanity. Starvation, waterboarding, all the horrors. This is the USA's favorite spot for this due to being outside the states and not subject to many laws.
Let this get you mad but use it for good. Be vocal day to day. Talk to friends and family about politics. Be brave and stay informed!

"Hard times are coming, when we'll be wanting the voices of writers who can see alternatives to how we live now, can see through our fear-stricken society and its obsessive technologies to other ways of being, and even imagine real grounds for hope. We'll need writers who can remember freedom-poets, visionaries-realists of a larger reality."
— Ursula K Le Guin

I'll never get over whiny Republican men crying over the fact that people don't want to hang out with them because of their barbaric beliefs.
"Why wouldn't you want to hang out with a conservative???"
Idk, maybe because they hate my existence and think my right to bodily autonomy is conditional and doesn't count sometimes??
"Just because someone is in a political party doesn't mean they agree with everything in it!"
Sure, but you're still supporting and voting for the people who do.
"You're the REAL extremist because you won't be friends with people who actively work to strip you of freedoms and human rights!!!"
Lmao ok. It should really be socially acceptable to tell someone they're a fucking moron.
What's that German saying? If 10 people are sitting at a table and one of them is wearing a swastika, there are 10 Nazis at the table?

People will tell you that wanting everyone to have food, clothing, shelter, healthcare, clean water, and education is a radical political stance, but to me, it is a desire borne out of being a caring, compassionate person who wants to end human suffering.
Wanting to make sure everyone's needs are taken care of is radical only in an individualistic society that worships at the alter of personal responsibility and judges whether people are worthy of having their needs met in the courtroom of meritocracy.

Yeah, I’m a queer disabled immigrant. I’m also rich. And it’s not about queer people or disabled people or immigrants. It’s about the Global South, it’s about the exploited workers taken far away from their families, it’s about the poor people, both in the Global North and the Global South. It’s about the children who are far from their families, both in the Global North and the Global South. And guess what? I will strangle 5000 Global Northerners to death with a kanga if I have to, but I will not EVER put the well-resourced above the under-resourced. Ever. And I know that in my country there’s a question of whose pain matters and whose pain doesn’t. And I know that in my country only the pain of the middle class and above matters. But one day all the poor people all across the whole world will rise up and band together and form a formidable commoner army. And they will kill all of you, as they should.
