I like the idea of Bluestreak being a Jazzprowl bitty so I thought of a little cutesy idea that Jazz and Prowl debated on his name. Jazz with something like "Blue/Blues" because it's another music genre While Prowl was more in line with something like "Lightstreak" to evoke safety or something, cause he's a nerd. When it came down to it, they combined the names to make Bluestreak :3c

Glowing Eyes
Hello taking a chance with posting one of the first transformers pics I ever wrote! A huge thanks to @foxespen for helping me so much with writing this! Wheeler, Liam, Cass, and Junior belong to her as well and Lightstreak belongs to me!
~~~~~~~
Wheeler doesn’t always understand human traditions. Even after living there for 10 earth years at this point, some things still don’t always make sense to her. Things like ‘memes’, children, or, in this case, camping. Why build or buy a house and then go sleep in the woods with all the…ugh, bugs crawling everywhere? Just the thought of them made her plating crawl.
However, she still wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. It’s nice to get away and be with the human family she’s grown to cherish. Cassidy and Junior are almost 11, and they’re still always so excited to come to the orchard every year. On top of that, the trips probably do wonders for Liam as getaways from the stress of the cities and the auto shop.
Wheeler reflects on this as she watches the campfire’s flames dance in the dark, little chunks of burnt marshmallow and hot dogs charred in the pit. Suppose she could add ‘burning your food to a crisp’ to the list of things she doesn’t understand about humans. Oh well, the kids seem to be having fun. “Careful with the sugar, kids, I doubt your old man can keep chasing you around the forest in the middle of the night forever.” She laughs as the old man gives her a glare.
“Ah, let ‘em live, woman! ‘Sides, that extra energy can come in handy in case you gotta outrun a monster.”
“Monsters?” Junior says through a mouth full of marshmallows.
“Liam, don’t.” Wheeler warns flatly. “Because I’m gonna end up being the one needing to ‘protect’ them tonight.”
“Fine, fine, I guess they won’t get to hear about the Detroit Banshee.”
“The Detroit Banshee?”
Oh, Primus, here we go.
The older man leans forward. “ That’s right, she lives in these very woods! They say that long ago, a light shot from the sky and into these woods, and that’s when… she appeared.” He gestures to the trees surrounding them. “First, you hear the branches creak, and then a ghostly wail.”
Liam shoots Wheeler a pointed wink. She rolls her optics and turns her fans on, startling the children at the light whirring sound.
“Then after that, you hear the faint sound of a woman crying. Just about the saddest cry you’ve ever heard. The kind of cry that makes you want to run off and help her.” Some critter scuttles around just behind them, sending the kids closer to Wheeler. “But that, there, is her trick. To lure you closer and closer…” He leans in, his voice softening to a whisper with every word. “Until the last thing you see is a pair of ghastly, Red eyes… and then-” Liam jumps forwards, arms stretched out towards the kids. “She Gets Ya!”
The kids screech, hurting Wheeler’s audio components as they climb and cling to her. Liam doubles over in laughter, earning a glare from his twins. “DAD, QUIT IT!”
“Hehahaha! Oh you kids are too easy!” Liam cackles.
“Yeah, thanks Liam, now they really aren't going to sleep.” Wheeler sighs.
“No problem, Wheels!” He wipes the tears from his eyes. “Now, they ain’t gonna be running around those woods, now.”
Wheeler rolls her optics for the umpteenth time, servos patting the children’s backs to sooth them. “Come on, guys, your old man is just messing with you. There’s no such thing as a ‘Detroit Banshee’”
“B-but, how do you know that? I mean, there’s such a thing as you, so who knows what’s out there?!”
“Gee, thanks kid.” Wheeler answers dryly. “ Well, it’s probably about time we get to sleep. Or at least however much we can get when your old man starts sawing logs.” The kids giggle as Wheeler pushes them to their little tents. “I’ll keep the fire going for a bit longer so you kids can see if you need it.” The kids reluctantly nod as they wish the two goodnight and crawl into their sleeping bags.
“You know you can always live a little, right? Scary stories are a rite of passage for camping.”
“Well we’ll see how smug you’ll be when you have to wash their sleeping bags because they were too scared to go to the bathroom. Now you get to bed too, you old fart, if you wanna make it to the lake at a good time tomorrow.”
The senior grumbles about her needing to get off his back, but goes to his tent nonetheless.
Wheeler finds herself staring up into the night sky… this world is strange, the people on it even stranger. She supposes she should feel alienated, after all being a literal alien. Oddly enough, she’s never felt more at home. She’s never able to connect with any of the bots on Cybertron, always feeling like she was unwelcome on her own planet. Of course, this world isn’t perfect. Wheeler is sure there’re plenty of people that don’t want her here, but the people that do make it pretty impossible to care.
But still, some things she was just unable to connect with them on. There isn’t much she could do about it, but sometimes she thinks it might be nice to have someone that understands how she feels in those moments…
Wheeler is brought out of her thoughts by loud snoring, glancing at her family to see them all fast asleep. Oh well, there isn’t much use dwelling on it now. She grabs the bucket of lake water and dumps it on the fire. Once fully extinguished, she lays back on the tarp covered ground and lets her optics close as she drifts into recharge.
-------
“Wheeler… Wheeler!” Her blue optics blink as she feels little hands smacking at her faceplate. She pushes them away and turns over. Alas, it is in vain. The tiny hands continue to torment her. “Wheeler!”
She lets her optics stay open this time, staring back at the scared little faces in front of her.
“Alright, alright, I’m up. Who needs to go to the bathroom?”
“No, Wheeler, it’s the Banshee! We heard her!”
Wheeler groans, “No, it’s not.”
“Yes it is! Listen!”
Wheeler loves these two to death, but she swears that she’s gonna strangle them one day. Still she sits up and listens around. “I don’t hear any-”
Wheeler freezes as a soft sob rings through the trees.
“O…ok some weird animal is making noises.” She stands with a sigh, knowing she was gonna have to check it out. “Just stay here, I’ll go shoo whatever it is away.” Wheeler follows the sound.
Most likely it has to be an owl, or some other bird. Wheeler counts herself lucky that most animals out here aren’t that big. Especially since she isn’t that tall in comparison to other cybertronians, only standing at about 13 ft. Hopefully it isn’t something like a bear, she really isn’t in the mood for trying to scare one of those away.
As she nears the source of the crying, slowing her speed to a creep. As she carefully brushes some branches out of the way, and freezes.
That wasn’t a fucking animal…. It was a cybertronian…. And a big one. A flier with scarred purple armor hunched over on the forest floor.
She needed to go back quickly and get the Jacksons out of here. Wheeler begins to back away, but in her silent panic, fails to notice the root her ped was now hooked on. She yelps as she falls, her wheel getting stuck in the root. She starts to yank her ped, only to freeze as the glowing red eyes zone in on her. The figure stood to her full height.
Shit, she was really tall!
“Who are you?! What are you doing here?!” a blaster is now in her face, furthering her panic.
“H-hold on! I’m not here to cause any trouble!” Her optics trail to the insignia on the bot’s chassis, or at least what is left of it. Wheeler recognized the Decepticon emblem, but it was heavily scratched.
“Hey! Optics up here, brat!”
Wheeler’s optics flew back up. “B-Brat?!”
“Who sent you?”
“Wha- no one sent me! Can you please get that thing out of my face?!” Yeah, maybe it was a bad idea to back talk the bot with a blaster aimed at her, but Wheeler was also freaking out. She took a deep breath before continuing. “My designation is Wheeler. And you?”
The bot stared her down for a minute, clearly skeptical, before lowering her blaster. “...Lightstreak.”
“Now that wasn’t so hard, was it? What are you doing out here? Wasn’t exactly expecting to see a con out this far.”
“I am not affiliated with the Decepticons. And I could say the same for you. I didn’t pick up on any autobot or con signals out here.”
“Yeah, cause I’m neither. I left Cybertronian space a long time ago to get away from all that bullshit. And stop avoiding my question.”
"Hm. At least you've got half a processor in your helm. And the reason I'm out here is precisely none of your business." Despite her harsh tone and words, she knelt down and got Wheeler's ped unstuck from the root before standing and offering a hand to help Wheeler up. "Now get up. You're small enough as it is and I'd rather not talk to you when you're all the way on the ground."
Wheeler’s brow ridge twitched, but she decided not to say anything. She takes the offered servo, slightly surprised at how gentle Lightstreak was being. Before she could say anything, the bushes behind them rustled.
“Wheeler! Where are you?!”
“Did you get eaten by the banshee?!”
Lightstreak retreats back to the shadows as Cassidy and Junior pop out of the shrubbery.
“Wheeler! You’re not eaten!” The two run up and cling to her stabilizers.
“Of course not, you dorks. There’s no banshee out here.” She shook her head.
Cassidy looks behind Wheeler and screams while pointing.
“THE BANSHEE!” Wheeler turns back and sees Lightstreak’s optics. Great! Now she had two piss scared little kids and a giant ex con.
“Uh… hey, can you come out for a sec! Just so these brats will calm down. I promise these two aren't venomous or whatever!”
Lightstreak hesitated for a moment. She wanted to just leave, but she didn't want the children to be scared. She really had no qualm with humans.
Slowly, she stepped out from the shadows.
"Really? Banshee? Not the most creative nickname I've been called, but I think I like the sound of it."
The kids peek out from behind Wheeler, “Another robot?”
“Yep. Another robot. In fact she’s an alien like me, and therefore not a banshee. Which means you can go back to-”
“Wait!” Junior interrupted. “You’re an alien like Wheeler?”
“I…Suppose I would be an alien to you, yes.” It wasn’t exactly the reaction Lightstreak was expecting. She especially didn’t expect the children’s look of curiosity to melt into pure excitement as they rushed to her before either bot could make a move.
“That’s so cool! How long have you been here? Are you and Wheeler related?” Cassidy asked quickly.
“Huh? No we’re-”
“And you’re so big! Do you also turn into a scooter but like a giant scooter? Can we ride the giant scooter?” Junior cut Lightstreak off with his own rapid fire.
What is with these two?! “That’s not-”
“Do you live in the woods? Do you have a place to go?” The twins gasp in unison and whip around to Wheeler. “Can she come back with us? Please, please, please, please!” They begged.
Wheeler felt her brow twitch more. “ Guys, now come on- we don’t- it would be rude-” The little pouts bore into her spark… ugh she better not regret this.
“... fine.” the two cheer. “IF she is ok with it.”
“Absolutely not! I am not going anywhere with-” The kids turn their puppy dog stare on to Lightstreak. And by the allspark, she has no idea what she’s looking at or why it makes her feel bad for not agreeing. “...fine, I'll go with you.”
The two squeal in excitement, jumping around their new friend. Wheeler groans, the sugar rush decides to kick in now? This was not how she thought the weekend was gonna go.
“Alright then, come on.” Wheeler motions for Lightstreak to follow her as she picks the two children up. “The camp site isn’t that far from here.”
As they walk the kids turn to face the flier. “My name’s Cassidy, this is my baby brother, we call him Junior.”
“Hey, you’re only 12 minutes older than me!”
The young girl ignores him. “What’s your name?”
“Lightstreak.”
“Do you turn into a giant scooter?”
“No, I turn into a jet.”
Junior gasped, “ Can you fly us around?”
“Not happening, squirt.” Wheeler shuts him down, earning a whine.
Cassidy jumps in, “Is that why you’re so tall?”
“Yep.” Lightstreak wasn’t sure how much they knew about Decepticons, but regardless she didn’t need to indulge them on the specifics of flier coding genetics. “Are all humans this chatty?”
“Just the obnoxious ones.” Wheeler retorts, earning a chuckle from the larger bot.
“You’re just mad cause she’s bigger than you!” The children both blow raspberries at her, earning a full on laugh from Lightstreak.
“Well, if Wheeler here is a scooter then it makes sense why she’s so small and adorable. I bet I could carry her around in my subspace.”
“Try it and I’ll dismantle your legs.” Wheeler shot a glare over her shoulder strut.
Lightstreak needs to watch herself, she’s starting to like these three.
Oh man. Year 1 in RainbowClan did NOT go well. Things were chugging along relatively smoothly until Moon 10, when Amberstripe did something INCREDIBLY. STUPID. I'll get into that under the read more, though.
+ Lavenderstar: The Clan's leader had a good year. He drove off a gang of rogues with some of his Clanmates, invited Lightstreak, Dust, and Blizzardpaw to join them, and mentored Blizzardpaw personally. Unfortunately, he has the same bout of greencough that everyone else has, so he's currently out of commission.
As far as relationships go, he's got decent platonic affection with most of his Clanmates and romantic affection toward Sagedust, Gingerdapple, and Whitefalcon, with Gingerdapple being his top pick.
+ Heathersight: Strangely, our deputy didn't do much this year. The most excitement he saw was a Twoleg petting a loner. Most of his patrols were hunting patrols, though, so he still played a vital role.
Again, decent platonic affection with most of his Clanmates, but he also has a romantic interest in Gingerdapple, so we'll see how THAT little love triangle turns out. Hopefully he'll end up with Cinnamonstep, but Cinnamonstep may have his eye on another cat after the events of Moon 12...
+ Sagedust: His year, like Heathersight's, was fairly relaxed. He saw Twolegs wandering around on two separate occasions, as well as coming across some Twoleg trash. He also invited Thistleleaf into the Clan and gifted Flurryfeather some pink poppies. Right now, he's dealing with a nasty case of yellowcough.
For relationships, he's closest to Whitefalcon. Their platonic affection is almost completely maxed, and their romantic attraction continues to rise. Because of their closeness, he's taken an active role in raising Whitefalcon's kits, and was hit hard by something that happened in Moon 12 related to Whitefalcon and his kits.
+ Graymist: I've become quite fond of this one. He volunteered for extra duties on their very first moon as a Clan, and I thought that was sweet. Loved him ever since. Graymist had a busy year. He was there when Lavenderstar saved Lightstreak and invited Blizzardpaw into the Clan, as well as on Silvershadow's patrol when they met Darkfreckle and Tawnybird. Right now, he's serving as a temporary medicine cat while Sagedust recovers.
Moon 11, he and Blackwillow became mates after an adorable herb gathering date. I adore them so much. Hoping to see BlackMist kits soon.
+ Dust: This pretty boy joined up as a medicine cat Moon 3, and the very next moon, he was out watching the moon rise with Cinnamonstep. There's some MAJOR drama in his life right now, which I'll get to when I cover Amberstripe. Suffice it to say that he and Amberstripe had a hot-cold courtship going on up until Moon 12, at which point Dust turned to Cinnamonstep for comfort. Dust's righteous personality definitely had something to do with him struggling to forgive Amberstripe.
Relationship-wise, he's not the friendliest cat, so his platonic affection with most of his Clanmates is pretty low. The only cat he dislikes is Graymist, and I honestly have no clue why, because Graymist doesn't even seem to know he exists.
+ Ash: Not much to say about this poor old boy. He was abandoned by his Twolegs and found by Silvershadow and Gingerdapple. Unfortunately, he has redcough, so he's unlikely to survive. At least his last days will be comfortable, and he'll be welcomed into StarClan.
+ Thistleleaf: A handsome cat, to be sure, but not a very interesting one thus far. He joined up during Moon 2. He did disappear for a few days during Moon 5, and I suspect he spent some time near some Twolegs nests, as his status had to do with kittypets. He originally lived in a Twolegplace when he was a loner, so it would make sense that he may go back to visit. He was one of the cats who was on Lavenderstar's patrol when Dust was invited into the Clan, but they have no real interest in one another.
Relationships are lukewarm. He really dislikes Lavenderstar, for reasons unknown, and has minor dislike for Gingerdapple, Silvershadow, and Amberstripe. Overall, an enigma.
+ Amberstripe: Oh boy, where do I even begin with this absolute disaster of a cat? Let's start from the beginning. He also had a busy year. He was part of the patrol that drove off the gang of rogues during Moon 1, and he helped Lavenderstar save Lightstreak. All the while, he was accompanying Dust on herb gathering patrols. They often bickered, but there was an undeniable attraction as well.
Then he chatted with a cat from another Clan during Moon 10. Unbeknownst to him, the cat had greencough, which he contracted, along with a nasty case of frostbite. He survived both, but his greencough spread...
...and claimed the lives of two of Whitefalcon's kits. Twilightkit and Gossamerkit were three moons old. Icekit caught Amberstripe's greencough as well, but with intense care from the medicine cats, he was able to pull through.
Amberstripe could have lied. He could have placed the blame on the luck of the draw. Any cat could contract greencough just by venturing out during Leaf-bare. The guilt ate him up inside, though, and he swiftly confessed his mistake to the Clan. Lavenderstar has confined him to camp for the time being as punishment for his reckless actions, and Dust--well, Dust is taking his patrols with Cinnamonstep now.
+ Blackwillow: On a lighter note, Blackwillow is either the luckiest or unluckiest cat in the territories. This man immediately felt a sense of dread Moon 0, got frostbite Moon 1, and then sprained his paw Moon 5. He's been in and out of the medicine cat den since the Clan's founding, and I think he's going a little crazy. It is a miracle he didn't catch Amberstripe's greencough. A fucking miracle.
Other than his health concerns, the only exciting thing that happened to him was his date with Graymist. He has shockingly high platonic affection with most of the Clan, with slight dislike for Lavenderstar and Amberstripe. I like to imagine that Graymist was the one to ask him out, because Blackwillow can be prickly, but he's also got major insecurities.
+ Whitefalcon: This boy is going through it. He was the cat who invited Flurryfeather into the Clan, and as you can see, Flurryfeather is no longer with us. That hit him pretty hard. Then, of course, he announced that he was expecting and was so ecstatic to have a large litter, only to almost immediately lose half of it. His anger at Amberstripe cannot be overstated. If he wasn't currently sick with greencough, I think he may just have murdered Amberstripe in a vengeful rage.
Sagedust has been by his side, however, and has brought him great comfort. The two of them are mates in everything but name. He has decent platonic affection with most of the Clan too, so they've all pitched in to help him recover from both his illness and his grief. He's asked Cinnamonstep to look after Icekit and Rabbitkit while he recovers. He would have asked Blackwillow, who he's extremely close to, but Blackwillow's mate, Graymist, is interim medicine cat, and no one wants to risk it.
+ Cinnamonstep: He has been BUSY this year. He helped Lavenderstar chase of the Moon 1 rogues, helped him save Lightstreak, fell head over heels for Dust at first sight (he was on the patrol that recruited Dust), and was also on the patrols that recruited Darkfreckle and Tawnybird. He chatted with a kittypet twice this year, though I can't say whether it was the same one or what it might mean. Then, finally, he was one of the cats who caught Amberstripe's greencough.
Once he had recovered, he was RIGHT. THERE. at Dust's side when Amberstripe's mistake was revealed. Wasted NO time. I don't think he's consciously using this tragedy for his own gain, though. He truly cares about Dust, and his high platonic affection with Whitefalcon only sealed the deal. In his eyes, Amberstripe risked all their lives just so that he could have a chat with another Clan cat--and killed two kits in the process.
+ Silvershadow: Another cat who had a busy year. Weirdly, I find myself thinking he's the deputy a lot of the time, because he led most of the border patrols when Lavenderstar was busy training Blizzardpaw. As such, he led the patrol that recruited Darkfreckle, Tawnybird, and Ash, and also helped Lavenderstar drive out the Moon 1 rogues. At one point, he was caught outside the Clan's territory. No clue what that's about. We'll see how things shake out.
Relationship-wise, he has great platonic affection with most of his Clanmates, but he's the absolute closest with Cinnamonstep, Graymist, Blackwillow, and...
...Amberstripe. Hmm. He's probably feeling pretty sore about all of this.
No romantic prospects yet, except for Whitefalcon, who, uh, simply isn't interested. Poor Silvershadow.
+ Gingerdapple: Once again, busy year. He helped Lavenderstar drive off the Moon 1 rogues and save Lightstreak. He was on the patrols that invited Dust, Blizzardpaw, Darkfreckle, Tawnybird, and Ash into the Clan. He caught Amberstripe's greencough, but has recovered well.
He has decent platonic affection with most of his Clanmates and romantic attraction toward Silvershadow, Lavenderstar, and, unexpectedly, Heathersight.
Overall, he's a chill guy.
+ Blizzardspirit: This fella is actually a transplant from one of our neighbors, CrowClan. CrowClan is a pretty harsh Clan to be born into. There's a major focus on survival of the fittest and survival at all costs. Blizzardpaw was too gentle for that life, so he begged Lavenderstar to let him join RainbowClan. As of now, CrowClan is unaware of his betrayal.
His apprenticeship under Lavenderstar went smoothly, but was largely uneventful. At the end of the year, he FELL DOWN A MOUNTAIN and broke his leg. His Clanmates are deeply impressed that that's all he broke.
Relationship-wise, he's still settling in. No romance, and not much platonic affection. I'm watching him with great interest.
+ Lightstreak: This old codger came to us with a broken leg and a dream. A dream of causing problems on purpose. Most of his statuses have involved being bothersome for funsies, and I love him for it. He's a geezer with a great sense of humor and no shame whatsoever.
As such, he hasn't grown especially close to anyone, and he seems to have a rivalry going on with our deputy, Heathersight. Heathersight tells him, "Lightstreak, you can't keep switching the nests in the warriors den." Lightstreak replies, "I don't know what you're talking about, whippersnapper! Shouldn't you be working?" Heathersight recalls what murderous intent feels like.
+ Icekit and Rabbitkit: They're too young to have much personality yet, but they sure are cute. I have a feeling that losing their siblings so young will impact their personalities as they age. Icekit, especially, is likely to experience a nasty case of survivor's guilt.
==
Now onto StarClan!
+ Darkfreckle and Tawnybird: These two didn't live for very long. Darkfreckle survived his redcough for two moons, while Tawnybird survived his carrionplace disease for only one. It's a shame, because they were both gorgeous.
+ Twilightkit and Gossamerkit: It's not fair. It's just not fair. Twilightkit's current status is, "Wants to comfort a Clanmate who is grieving over him." I know he's looking down at his mother and brothers and wishing he could be with them. Gossamerkit's status is even sadder. "Is begging StarClan to send him back."
It's just. not. fair.
+ Flurryfeather: This one hurt. He was a favorite of mine, even though he was only with us for a single moon. Look at him. Stunning. Anyway, he only got to go on a single patrol, the one that recruited Dust, before dying on his second patrol while crossing a river. I was so fucking mad. Still so fucking mad.
Brigid Berlin
Brigid Berlin, an artist prominent in the New York art scene during the 1960s and 70s, continuously challenged conventional boundaries, leaving an indelible mark on the artistic landscape. Her extensive body of work spanning photography, collage, performance, audio recordings, and film reflects a remarkable dedication to artistic expression and experimentation.
Berlin's upbringing as a privileged girl born into high society adds a layer to her work. Despite the opportunities afforded by her background, Berlin chose to “go against the grain”, rejecting societal norms and embracing her queer identity and feminism. This defiance against societal expectations of her time plays a huge reason in why I find her art-ventures so intriguing.
A distinguishing feature of Berlin's work is her ability to blend "high and low culture," effectively challenging artistic elitism. By incorporating elements from everyday life alongside traditional artistic mediums, she created art accessible to a broad audience. This inclusive approach democratized art while critiquing the exclusivity of the art world.
Among Berlin's diverse portfolio, her double-exposure photographs stand out for me visually. These images, often featuring vibrant flowers on top of quite dull-looking portraits, are captivating for viewers with their striking composition.
Berlin's commitment to authenticity is evident throughout her work, resonating deeply with viewers on a personal level. Each piece reflects herself, in an authentic and very real way.
Authentic, that is what I can take away from whenever I view pieces of her work. And I believe that relates to me personally because that is what I like to capture, authenticity. Moments in everyday life mixed with a lot of collage work, I want to be able to mix my graphic design background with photography. I felt like a good way of mixing the two would be to have it shown more in a digital collage way, using bright colours, and double exposure, all things used to create something from different pieces but coming together as one cohesive piece.
Just like the photo series of Brigid Berlin’s polaroids I am wanting to have the different works, using certain things over and over again, the same motifs seen all throughout the different pieces. I am wanting to create three images that work as a cohesive piece together.
I want to add that every aspect of these digital collages are important aspects of my life today. From the use of self portraits of me with no makeup and no editing, to the use of the lightstreaks used from failed film rolls, even to the background that is almost unrecognisable but it’s flowers from my backyard. Essentially all decisions made will be stemming from my own genuine personal experiences.
For my project, “Floating” I want this to be a body of work that people can come and just see. I will want to put myself as authentically as I possibly can, I will do this with my self portraits, the use of colours, the use of textures, and the use of text. But I still want to give the viewer a chance to come and interpret it their own way as a creative who is still finding their footing on what my “style” is as an artist/designer/photographer, I want these three pieces to be a stepping stone onto something bigger or something that can help me get one more step closer to what I want my “final destination” to be.
