you’d gotten home from work to find Spencer and your daughter on the couch, a cat prancing around the living room. 

the sight made you pause, carefully dropping your keys into dish before moving towards them with caution.

“what’s this?”

your daughter practically leaped up from her space on the couch, a bright smile on her face.

she reached for your hand, pulling you towards the couch where the cat now sat in Spencer’s lap, his hand petting it softly.

“daddy got us a cat!”

he flashed you a smile, one that made any frustration disappear as quickly as it appeared.

“did he?”

your daughter nodded again, curling into Spencer’s side and taking over on petting the cat.

you couldn’t be mad, not really, it was just more surprise than anything.

“does it have a name?”

she beamed again, failing to hide her giggles as she shared the cats name.

that made you pause again.

your daughter did love Derek, they were like best friends, always together whenever he came over to visit, but naming a cat after him felt a little too much.

“that’s great sweetheart—could you maybe go to your room while i talk to your dad?”

she nodded, carefully lifting the cat and taking it to her room, smile still bright on her face.

you waited for the sound of her door shutting to direct your attention to Spencer, hands planted on your hips.

“you let her name it Derek?”

he sighed, moving to the edge of the couch to reach for your hands, carefully pulling you closer until you stood between his legs.

“she wanted to, wouldn’t stop talking about naming him Derek the whole drive home”

that was your daughter all right. Derek Morgan’s biggest fan, always singing his praises, just as a neice would.

still, it didn’t stop the feeling you had for naming the cat after him.

“she’s too young to be making decisions of the cats name”

you both knew that wasn’t true, you were just trying to find reason for the cat to not be named Derek.

“honey she’s ten”

his voice stayed in that soft tone.

you told, gaze flicking between Spencer and the cat that sat idly on your couch.

Spencer reasoned, his voice soft like it always was. that softness that wrapped around you like a hug, but also infuriated you at times.

but even now, looking into those brown eyes that held so much love for you and the life you’d created together, you couldn’t stay annoyed at him for long.

Christmas was always traditional spent in Boston with the triplets parents every year and it was always such a really good time fillled with the neccessary christmas festivities.

So when Madison was born she always knew around december they were on a plane to go see grandpa and grandma. You guys were all sitting around the table having christmas eve dinner which was also another tradition you guys had in the Sturniolo household.

"um so i have announcement"

justion abruptly announces standing up from the table holding onto his wife's hand.

"okay what is it sweetie"

"so we are having a baby everyone"

justin annouces as everyone lets out a series out gasps followed by a series of 'congratulations' and ' we are so happy for you.' Chris should have seen it coming because if it was one thing we knew for sure about madison she was always asking questions that quite frankly she didnt need to know the answer to just yet.

"daddy how are babies made exactly"

madison loudly asks as matt and nick immediately look over at madison with their jaws dropped. There was no way Chris was giving that answer to his daughter not just because they were literally in front of the entire but also because she was way too young to know that information yet.

"um"

chris trails off a his parents lightly giggle at the toddler. Chris slowly turns to face Madison sitting next to him at the table noticing she had yet to finish her mac and cheese on her plate.

"how about we finish our food and we can come back to this"

chris states confidently knowing that she would end up forgetting the question she had even asked in the first place afterall she is 2. she doesnt have the long of an attention span.

Madison nodded her head begining to finsih the food in front of her ad hris lets out a deep exhale of air in complete relief.

"well that happened"

nick chuckles out as chris simply rolls his eyes playfully.

Smitten and Damsel now, gotta get my designs in before the next contest and princess week (which is in august but theres so many princesses)

Smitten:

Avian - so very pink, it was rare even in the time that avians lived for them to be brightly colored. usually designated for aristocracy... not that any one alives remember that

He/she - likes most feminine terms except when it comes to like Knight and prince. would be prefer to be called damsels Aletheas dashing prince or her galant knight, otherwise shes Alethea's wife/girlfriend/lady lover etc

Beguiling Voice - when he speaks people listen and he can get anyone to do anything, kinda like charm person, friends or bardic inspo from dnd depending on the context

he has no memories of the HEA path but does have nightmares abt it the most. Alethea remembers it perfectly tho but isnt gonna bring it up in case it upsets him

when they both meet up w the rest of the voices and vessels, shes very overwhelmed in the other princesses presences. trying to balance the love he has for all of them and the belief he needs to be completely devoted to Alethea causes her a lot of insecurities. none of which he talks to alethea abt cuz she doesnt want to upset them

cant fly v well but pretty good at gliding and using her wings to gain more air during her jumps

Damsel Alethea

Human - Mage, specifically a soul mage where as Prism was a arcanaic mage. the big difference is prism pullz on the threads of reality already there where as Alethea pulls on the threads within them. its harder it control and far more volatile. obvs fire themed

They/them - projection beam go, it takes them so long to figure it out, another voice has to tell them gender is bullshit. up until then when it was just them and smitt they felt they had to be the woman in all this

fire form and beguiling voice - similar to smitt but theyre less aware of it for a while and take even longer to figure out how to stop

the first vessel and voice pair they meet is nightmare and paranoid bscause they werw in the ballroom of the palace. then cheated and razor soon after that. followed a little while after by Cold and Lethe.

Nightmare fucking hates them, and everything they represents, tries to kill them by pushing them in a spring they camped near once. Razor doesnt really hate them (it cant really hate anyone) but does love drama and hurting people. Para had to pull alethea out because they dont know how to swim. afterwards para yells at nightmare and theres a whole drama w that thatll be outlined in their post

Lethe finds them interesting and with their firey soul she can possess them with out them getting hypothermia. cold was expecting to not like them or at most think they were dumb, but on a scouting mission it learned to see them as something wiser than they let on around others. he likes them after that

While cheated and para were the ones who helped them with their gender, they actually got their name way before that when they read a diary in an abandoned house. it was diary of a woman and mentioned her daughter named Alethea who became a knight a long time ago

veilguard spoilers regarding a josie romance. but can we talk about the letter josie sends to a romanced inquisitor because. i’m sorry. fucking losing my mind at the fact that the inquisitor and josephine are close enough friends with the guy the inquisitor duels in her romance to be invited to meet his third child. implying they’ve been invited to the other two. at a baby shower and getting introduced as the one who dueled the baby’s father because he was trying to steal your girl. antivan romances insane.

ITS TOO FUNNY. i cannot imagine how they met and how yvette probably was like “teehee…. the man that my sister spurned…. has fallen in love with ME!” and the best/worst part is that ortranto really has. i like to think of them running around with each other and secretly meeting as though their families actually hate each other (they really don’t lol) . the ortrantos would probably be delighted to have their son actually marry a montilyet like they wanted, even better that they’re actually in love and it’s not arranged!

i have this image of josie going like “you can’t marry him. is this a joke, because it’s not funny. i almost embarrassed him! the only reason the ortrantos do not hate us is because he is a very kind man who saw that i was in love with the inquisitor! ….yes i suppose a very kind man like that could love you…….. yes of course i want you to be happy…… yvette gabrielle montilyet, i fear you are not hearing what i’m saying— DON’T SAY YOU ARE ALREADY AN ORTRANTO. of course i must believe that there was a big scene caused (once again) by a montilyet and ortranto that ends with lord ortranto making a speech where the publicly declares his love for yvette in front of all of antiva city to see and hear. so there’s no backing out from this one. in my mind there’s a rehash of the big “BECAUSE I LOVE HER!” (ortranto, desperate but genuine), “you do?” (completely aghast josie who has somehow missed the fact her sister has been giggling even more than usual), plus an “OF COURSE HE DOES!” (a thrilled yvette) that reminds josie so fondly of her own love story that she's immediately relaxed (and suddenly accepting) about this whole thing <3

explanation below for anyone interested. it's a bit long 🐖

basic explanation for people who dont go here. or the tldr: the rift is a separate dimension in hypixel skyblock where reality and time itself do not function the same. the other npcs tend to take on different forms in there. this is my interpretation of what might happen to techno if he were to travel into the rift based on some other theories about the place and my own headcanons for him

less basic explanation for the rest of you: ok so. first thing to get out of the way, the rift isnt completely separate from the main reality. SOME of your own thoughts and feelings influence the way you exist in the realm and the way the realm itself behaves. not very many people seem to take on forms ENTIRELY divorced from themselves, save for maybe enigma (we dont know who he was originally, if he was anyone at all)

but i have a theory backed up by absolutely nothing that your rift form is mostly influenced by three different things: your inherit magic, your ability to control and manipulate that magic, and your overall stability. stability will look different from person to person and you dont always know if someone is stable or not just by talking to them. even something as simple as a phobia might change them drastically. still, the rift is unstable itself, so sometimes people get altered horrifically even though they were perfectly fine

my main points of reference for this are that some of our most altered characters are some who check all these boxes, and some who are relatively normal dont check any of them. lathrop/porhtal is split into a bunch of eyes and has one human-looking form that sits motionless at the wither cage and doesnt speak. we know he was incredibly magical, eventually got a great grip on said magic, but was also very very unstable. the wizard is very magical, is a master of said magic, and is pretty well put together. he is nearly unchanged in the rift. barry is the same as the wizard but went a bit nuts before he left, so in the rift he seems just a bit... off

on the opposite side of things, maddox is someone who we are told has ZERO magic in him. the only thing that changes in the rift is the fact that his helmet is red now. kat has never shown us any magic and seems to be pretty normal, so she's also just a different color palette in the rift and happens to have a weird job

anyways back to techno. (btw if you're reading this and happen to not be a regular here this is a mix of headcanons and "canon" but im treating it ALL as real and true facts for the sake of this drawing ok). he could be one of the most magical people here... but he has no idea how to use any of it on command. if you asked him if he possessed any magic, he would say no. his healing ability, while it is VERY strong, is passive, and he was only able to gather magic during the resistance fight with the help of the wands we were given. but he was able to gather a lot of magic during that fight, concentrate it, and release it all on his own. not many people could handle that. he also worships the blood god and has its blessing, and has some connection with spirits in the form of the voices / chat / whatever you wanna call them. there might be even more to him, who knows

so that's already a setup for disaster, but what about his stability? well he's constantly followed by a chorus of thousands of voices all screaming at him and god itself might be hanging around in that mix, led a war against the server staff and a dictator that lasted for 2 years skyblock time, and did the whole potato war thing which was ~70 years server time iirc. i wouldnt really call him stable KFJHG

so what you end up with is a very violent beastly thing, nearly unrecognizable save for the fact that he's still a pig (my first point, you dont become a COMPLETELY different thing under most circumstances). i think he's entirely out of control of himself and would not remember a trip to the rift. a stability elixir might help him in terms of being more aware of himself (i think sirius really downplayed what that potion does lmao it's not just a fun drink, he wanted to guarantee himself some control over his mind while he was conducting his "business" in the rift) but there's no saving the physical form

i wanted him to be beastly to mimic what happens to "dante" in the rift (the memory of dante, it's complicated. but dante and bacte are most likely two different people who are also the same person). yeah he was a big slime in the overworld, but now he's more monstrous. he also doesnt speak, he might not have any idea what's going on. same could be said for techno in a way. of course this is related to dante, what else would you expect from me :P i want to see them fight at the colosseum so bad...

initially in the post for the old sketch i said he was based on what i think would happen if he got a hold of some sulphur. i actually think that would be about the same as his rift form because sulphur seems to do very similar things under certain circumstances. always corrupts your form, can sometimes make creatures MUCH larger (matriarch, kuudra, magma boss), heightens your magic (mage outlaw), and can make you incredibly violent (barbarian duke)

Okay, I have 'returned' from my minor Tumblr absence. I say 'returned' because I never truly properly left, as you might've noticed from the few things that I reblogged onto my main and whatnot. Part of it was just a break, but the other major part of it was... I went to a concert!!! Of one of my favorite bands that means so, so much to me.

Big tangent below that isn't very selfshippy related.

Now, I don't know how much I mention NSP on here, perhap's I have once or twice when talking about songs that I've added to my F/Os playlists, but I don't think I ever really went on anything too lengthy. And I know I've mentioned Game Grumps a few times on here as well- definitely not as much as Jerma- but One of the co-hosts of Game Grumps is the lead singer in NSP, and both NSP and Game Grumps mean a lottt to me, even if I don't mention them often. They've gotten me through a lot for a very long amount of years, ever since I was around 11~ish. Made me laugh, helped me sleep, relax, entertained me, and have said a lot of motivational and heartwarming things that have helped kept me going. Getting tickets to go see the band was nearly entirely on impulse, which is something that I don't really ever do, but this was beyond worth it. It... it felt like it reset my brain, almost. If that makes any sense. Like my brain was a computer that had been running on sleep mode ever since it first booted up and finally got restarted for the first time ever. I'm upset that I can't have the entire thing burned into my memory second by second cause it was incredible. The lights and noises were overwhelming at first and I had moments questioning if I should regrettably step away but I managed to cool myself down. It was magical, there was some crying, there still IS some crying, and probably always will be, and they did some really cool "Hey, however you identify or who you love is completely okay with us." TWRP was also there, which is a slightly longer story, but they were also brilliant. I used up a lot of my energy and tears during their songs that I didn't have any left for the songs that I actually anticipated crying over! I could go on for ages about it, but I wouldn't have chosen anything else. I actually think I needed this. It feels like I can think like...better. More clearly. I feel more relaxed about my future and spending money and just...UGH. There are the watery eyes. Maybe because I anticipated crying during some of the NSP songs it didn't hit me, but the TWRP stuff really came at me from out of left field and the little intermission dialog and..man. maaann. It was really funny as well and. I wish I could remember it forever I really really do. I never thought I would ever get to see any artists that I enjoyed live, honestly. Most of them don't tour anymore or are all UK based, and I didn't know if or when NSP would tour again, nonetheless if they would be anywhere close to me. I HAD to. And I'm glad I did.

I know this perhaps sounds like every other description expereince of someone going to a concert but.It just felt so good. To be in a room where I practically felt like I could just.. be myself. I will say the worst thing to come from all of this is just potentially slowly forgetting details and that now I will get FOMO over any and all future concerts that they ever have. Concerts aren't really my thing but that.. was magic. And inspiration and awe and. I still can't get over TWRP's songs and the little intermissions about the lead singer hyping us up over our humanly hidden potentials.

It's almost hard to listen to any of their songs now after listening to them live! My phone camera desperately needs to be cleaned so the few pictures that I got during the moment we were allowed to have phones out are really fuzzy. I got a really good spot standing at the top of some small staircases so I could see over everyone(and it was also a good spot to sit/lean against the railings). It was worth it. it was worth it all. It was worth the sleepiness and hunger and thirst and frustrations. In fact it exceeded that.

I also got to stop by an IHOP and BurgerKing and ironically I love both of those places and yet neither of them are within like an hour drive of me.

re: "good girl" i think they say it once randomly as a joke and its just one of those things that gets him wayyy more than they expected it would. so now its their secret weapon and they use it very sparingly and every single time he gets super embarrassed about it but it works ill tell you what.
