Why all the Rock: Legit Ballads & midtempos for Tenors

I asked a guy friend (who's a tenor) what types of songs he thinks are the hardest to find for his voice type, so I made a list! Some of these are more done, but I'm trying to suggest things that are less used (as such there's no Les Mis on here).

Maria from West Side Story

On the Street Where You Live from My Fair Lady

Watch the Moon from Doctor Zhivago (maybe...depends on the cut)

Bonnie from Bonnie & Clyde (A little less on the legit side, but def not as pop/rock as the rest of the score)

Emma from Emma (Yes, I also put this on the baritone list. It lives in the middle of them)

The Voice Across the Moors from Jane Eyre (might be a bit hard to cut, but St.John's part is so great for a legit tenor)

Sail Me Away from Lestat (beautiful underdone legit ballad for a tenor? Hell yeah!)

Johanna from Sweeney Todd (If you don't want Maria, why not just repackage it with a new name?)

Where's the Mate for Me from Showboat

Make Believe from Showboat (this is actually a duet, but it's so easily arranged into a solo)

Love to Me from The Light in the Piazza (really anything Fabrizio sings in LITP)

I'll Be There from Pirate Queen (perhaps a bit more belty, but I think it could be done well in a legit style).
