COD GHOSTS OC

Callsign: Rapace

Nationality: Italian

Age: 36 (2027)

Her story is still a wip, I have yet to flesh out all the details. She was also born as a joke... that I ended up developing too much!

BACKSTORY

Rapace was born and raised in a lab in Italy, alongside a few others. All of them were human experiments, they were taught to obey the authority and were trained for the Army— making up a top secret faction/task force.

The way they were treated had it's drawback— they constantly argued with eachother and there was an unspoken competition among them. They would go as far as sabotaging eachother during missions, just to get whatever prize their superiors would give them. Which often included some free time and free will: a rare occasion.

Rapace is a shapeshifter. She can take on the shape of any living being as long as they have a brain and a heart. She even has an enhanced healing factor. Such abilities required a lot of studying— That, plus being raised in a lab, brought Rapace to excell in scientific subjects. She never had access to humanistic subjects. (If we want a canon abiding Rapace, she's simply a human experiment, with a shit ton more endurance and plenty scars.)

Eventually, she was rescued by the Task Force STALKER, aka Ghosts. More specifically, Rorke and Merrick. (wip)

As the Italian Government, nor its Army reached out for Rapace, she took matters in her hands and managed to make herself a sort of soldier for hire. The details aren't specified, but she heavily relies on contracts which go into heavy detail, in order to not cause conflicts.

Then, she would be hired by the Ghosts multiple times for aid.

Even though she was trained to obey the authority, the days back in the lab still had an aftermath. She was deemed reckless, careless and selfish.

She pretty much got on everyone's nerves, but she was valuable. They put up with her just for that.

The only ones she truly got along with were Rorke and Merrick— Rorke, becoming a figure to look up to, and Merrick forcing her to go to therapy. (I will write about her relationships in another post.)

When Rorke goes MIA, her whole world crumbles.

Which, surisingly enough, motivates her to actually care about therapy.

Slowly, she changes— tries to follow orders and begins to comply. Becomes friendlier, her taunts turning into harmless teasing. Overall, a better soldier and a better person.

(will write about her role in the codg campaign in another post.)

PERSONALITY

She keeps a lighthearted exterior, a bit flirty at all times— playful and jokes about all things. Some dislike how she seems to not take things seriously, but they'll take that over how obnoxious she used to be.

However, under all that, she can be pretty serious. That's how she's always been, afterall. She's not afraid to speak her mind and to be strict when the situation calls for it.

TRIVIA

She's not immortal— moreover, when she heals from bullet wounds she has to undergo surgery to take them out of her body.

Overall lets others lead the way, because she only knows how to lead the way in a way that benefits her strengths.

Is better at english than she is at italian. She knows all the scientific terms for stuff. She knows sign language and latin, and a bit of spanish, french and german. She can't fluently speak these three.

She hates physical touch. Flinches all the time, the only times she doesn't flinch is when A) it's people she trusts or B) she's fighting

She loves animals and knows way too much about them. Communicates with them well.

Absolutely loathes Italy. Only goes there if the missions requires her to.

She's not good at arts, as they are humanistic subjects. She can try to understand them (poetry, paintings, music...) but she'll never fully understand them. It upsets her, because she knows they're important.

She has lots of freckles. She doesn't use labels, but she isn't cis or het. Pretty much doesn't care.
