Team Sphinx v. Team Unicorn

THE UNICORNS TAKE THE DODGEBALL WIN !!

There are many ways to play dodgeball. For this game, there are two sides - one for each team - and at each end there is a “jail” which is where the other team goes when they get hit. If you’re in jail and you manage to hit someone, you’re out of jail and can return to your team’s side. The last team with players standing wins !!

With the aggression and competitiveness that we’ve seen so far, it was no surprise that there were a few injuries on both sides. Ministry worker, Evan Parkinson from Team Sphinx was hit in the face by auror, Manon Flamel who is on Team Unicorn. It appeared that he was already injured before the match began with a fresh-looking black eye only made worse by a ball flying at his face. He was forced to sit out due to the pain. There was also some same-team injury infliction with Team Unicorn’s quidditch substitute, Laurel Ollivander, playing so viciously that she ended up elbowing her teammate and professor-in-training, Declan Rowland in the face. He ended up with a bloody nose but after some tissues he was back in. But only for a little while, Rowland ended up being one of the first on his team to end up in jail. 

Team Spinx did play well despite their team being the losing one. Quidditch keeper, Aaron Hale was one of the best players on his team, catching many of the balls thrown in his direction, his background probably coming in handy for this. He was one of the last members of his team standing. Lorcan Scamander, who works at the Ministry, also used his skills from being a seeker at Hogwarts, to do the same. He ended up in jail and though he managed to get out, it wasn’t long before he was hit again. Employee at Scribbulus Writing Instruments, Edith de Lapin, was playing well but when she tried to catch a ball, she slid across the ground and ende up getting hit. It was Diana Rosier, photographer for the Daily Prophet, who ended up being the very last player on Team Sphinx still on the pitch. Cynthia Clearwater, a Ravenclaw student, and auror-in-training, Verity Nott teamed up to hit her at the same time thus ending the same.

This is the end of round one. Up next are the two relay races where the winners of both sides play against each other. An updated tournament board will be posted shortly. We hope you guys are having as much fun as we are !!
