Day 27: A Muggle AU Fic

Of Bookshelves and Baby Carriers by poppunkpadfoot (Wolfstar, T, 11.8k)

The customer standing in front of him is quite possibly the most beautiful man Remus has ever seen. Like, he looks like a model or something. He has long, black hair, flattened by water, and just the slightest amount of scruff on his face, and… And a baby strapped to his chest. Okay.

This fic is cute AF! 😍 Doing a reread of this again made me squee about how Remus is such a precious cinnamon roll who needs more hugs, Harry is adorable, and Sirius' flirting is hilarious. So much flangst, this is a bookshop fic, and 1000% a pick-me-up if you need something to brighten your day. A+++ aka go read this ASAP!

Day 28: An Under-Rated Fic

Chimera by Literallyliterary (Flintbell, E, 11.5k)

Years after Hogwarts, years after the war, Katie Bell finds herself traded from the Harpies to the Tornados and into the hands of team captain Marcus Flint. It’s a lot easier to ignore a childhood crush when you have to take orders from him, right? …Right??

I always love a good Quidditch fic, and this one seriously delivers, especially with all the UST built up from Hogwarts days. The way Marcus and Katie push each other's buttons but are clearly attracted to each other is amazing, and there are just so many Feelings waiting to spill out, especially after they get physical. It's spicy, it's got that fiery Gryffindor-Slytherin relationship dynamic we all love, the mutual pining is for real, and the competitive streak is so alive. For the game, for a chance, and yeah, this was what really solidified my love for this rare pair when I first discovered them. Def give this a shot if you'd like to dip into new ships!

Day 29: A Post-Canon Fic

Winter, 1999. Harry thought going to New York would help him get his head on straight, but all he has to show for it are sore feet and a fridge full of takeaway containers. And now he’s homesick on top of everything else. It doesn’t help that his mysterious neighbour in 2C keeps cooking dishes that remind Harry of home and all the people he lost or left behind.

I adore fics that include anything senses or food related. And gosh, this one with the angst and food as a love language is gorgeous. The small details really makes this a story I can visually see. Also, Draco cooks! 'Nuff said. And the way Harry and Draco gradually fall in love is so heartwarming. It's on their own terms, in a different country. Love, love, love. Definitely a must-read for a sleepy or rainy day.

Day 31: A Fav Amongst Favs

Drowned Boy by bmouse (Marcus/Percy/Oliver, M, 4k)

Oliver wants to drown himself. Percy wants to study, but he's willing to be distracted. Marcus probably wants trouble, but it's hard to tell.

Sooo, PoA is my 2nd fav HP book, and any references to that Quidditch game where Oliver tries drowning himself in the shower or missing moments right after are gold. Marcus and Oliver banter at each other as usual, but then Percy gets tangled in their chaos, and it kind of escalates. They're all boys with hormones, and yeah. 😜 This fic is so well written where you can see the attraction between each of them, and the dynamics work. *chef's kiss* (And since I genuinely like to delve into character studies for Marcus, Percy and Oliver, this was the fic convinced me that they're an awesome triad. Hell yeah.)

Marcus: Do you ever listen to the voice that tells you no!?

Oliver: Well, Percy wasn't here to stop me.

Audrey: He means your conscience.

Oliver: ...you mean Percy? He always tells me "no" and to "stop".

Penelope: Percy isn't your conscience. We mean the voice in your head that tells you what's right and what's wrong.

Oliver: Well the voice in my head normally tells me how nice Percy looks today, and how cute his laugh is, and how much we'd compliment each other as a couple. So take that, Penelope!

Percy: *stares at oliver*

Percy: I suppose I am his moral compass.

Marcus: And you're just going to brush over the confession?!?

Marcus: The fuck are you wearing?

Oliver: Get that off your body right now.

Percy: What are you… oh this? Boys, Cedric let me use it cause it’s pouring out there! Calm down.

Boys: FIRST NAME BASIS?

Marcus: alright Oli let’s go we have to kill someone

Percy Weasley headcanon time, part 2!

all the Quidditch captains at Hogwarts crushed HARD on him

Oliver Wood: obvious reasons, they are roommates (oh my god, they are roommates), they're in every class together, Percy has canonically been at Gryffindor's Quidditch matches, etc. i could go on.

Roger Davies: captain of the Ravenclaw in case you don't remember( can't blame ya). but Percy is smart and clever, he would charm the pants of any Ravenclaw without even trying. a fellow scholar who plays Quidditch too. everytime Ravenclaw meets Gryffindor, he tries to impress but fails cause Oliver Wood.

Cedric Diggory: he got the biggest boy crush on Percy and it was literally his bi awakening. not only is Percy smart, but he's also incredibly kind and responsible. he takes a page of Percy's book and values good sportmanship (this is the reason why the twins can't stand him, they've seen him yearning after their brother)

Marcus Flint: he doesn't like any Gryffindor at all, not even when pigs fly and it rains lava. but Percy is different, he's the Golden Student of not only Gryffindor, but of the whole school (no he doesn't count Hermione). Percy is smart, clever, determined, kind, righteous and so incredibly pretty. if it wasn't for his blood status, then Percy would've been poster child of "the ideal spouse" the pureblood families always nags about.

Conclusion: Oliver and Marcus gets into fistfights every week because of this and no one relents until someone is nearly dead (the only reason Snape gives detention to a Slytherin, of all things, cause he didn't sign up for his own student's blood feud)

Poor Roger Davies gets friendzoned the whole time cause Percy genuinely believes they're friends and he can't ruin that cause Penelope Clearwater will literally murder him in his sleep

Cedric decides to play it safe, earn Percy's affection slowly and maybe the Perfect Prefect will fall for him...eventually.

Too bad Fred and George is deadset on NO ONE dates their brother...except maybe Oliver Wood, but he has to prove himself with twelve quests (that was a total lie)

Outcome: Percy eventually dates Oliver Wood and he's incredibly happy with him. He doesn't even know that his five brothers and baby sister threatens Oliver if he ever hurt him. He's mildly annoyed when he finds out, though.

Academic disasters but it’s a ghost hunting show (it be funny if it’s set in the hp world so ghosts are real and the videos are for muggles. It’s penny idea. kinda like buzzfeed unsolved basically lol)

Percy is so mad because you know ghosts are real we see them everyday but Oliver is like nah they aren’t

It’s super funny to think about because of their personalities you’d think it’s the opposite

Percy definitely likes researching the history behind the haunted buildings they go to

Oliver understands half of it but just likes hearing Percy talk.

Penny is a ghost believer she’s like as a little girl I’ve always believed in ghosts once I was minding my own business and then felt chills down my spine and then a chair fell over. No one was near the chair.

Oliver: it was definitely the wind

Penny: I WILL KILL YOU

Audrey does believe in ghosts because they’re right there what is she suposed to do about that.

Marcus is the camera man. He “claims” he doesn’t believe in ghosts for the camera. He knows they’re real dudes a wizard he knows them he probably has an ancestor haunt his house 😭

Marcus main job is to record but you can hear him in the background giving his opinions. He just argues and makes fun of Oliver and Penny.

They all have a designated color for the text because yes.

Oliver is maroon

Percy is blue

Penny is silver

Audrey is yellow

Marcus is green

and what if somehow fate brings them together (LET'S SAY Marcus is friends with Penny because she works with young children-wizards and MARCUS has a young child) + (Penny has been friends with Percy and Oliver for many years) + (at Penny's house party the two just bump into each other)

AND WHAT IFFFF from two enemies they turn into classic friends-guys with jokes about each other but without hatred

Oliver teases Marcus for the fact that his daughter braids his short ponytails, and also for the fact that Marcus has braces, and also for the fact that Marcus' team lost to some French team AGAIN

and Marcus is teasing Oliver for being married to the most boring man in the world (we're talking about you, Percy, look at the camera), for being gay and taking a double surname (still without hate), and for having TWO DAUGHTERS instead of one
