The thing about Tom King is that I do think he's an idiot and a terrible writer but even if he exclusively wrote comics that I enjoyed such as Woman of Tomorrow and made creative decisions I appreciated like creating Viv Vision. I would still want him and his career dead because he's a racist former employee of the CIA who had a hand in planning the invasion of Iraq and all the mass death of innocents that followed. In a just world he'd be in jail for crimes against humanity and him sucking as a writer 99% of the times is a completely different, far less important, reason for my hatred of him. If anything the fact that he sucks as a writer but is still so successful despite both his lack of talent and his past is just one example of what's wrong with modern comics, a symptom rather than a cause.

Steve being the one to steal the car in catws is one of my favourite things simply because there's no way Natasha "The Black Widow" Romanoff doesn't know how to steal a car.

Which to me implies that she pretended to not know how, or at least waited just a bit to see if Steve would do it.

Simply to know if he could, figure him out.

every single outfit carol wore in the marvels made me physically sick. there ain't no reason someone is allowed to look good in everything i don't understand.

and don't even get me started on kamala's cute ass nerdy outfits. the way she was wearing a captain marvel shirt when she met her??? mf adorable i cannot. kamala dancing is something i didnt think i needed in my life.

I wrote the first part to a Marvel AU fan fic idea that's been living in my head for a few weeks now and I'm trying to decide if I should post it or not

the idea mostly focuses on Spider-Man and Daredevil, though some other Marvel characters are important to the storyline (Harry Osborn, Black Cat, Kingpin, etc.). essentially, the idea builds on the concept of Wilson Fisk becoming mayor of New York and working to eradicate vigilantes.

my main hold up is that I wrote this with an OC instead of as a reader insert and so I'm not sure if you guys would even really like that, y'know?

anyways, I'm just rambling for the sake of rambling. if anyone has any opinions on OC fan fics and what not, I'd love to hear them!

I’m obsessed with the idea of Tony slowly getting to know Peter just by listening to his voicemails (after Peter gets Tony’s number and starts sending him updates instead of Happy). As time passes, Peter is convinced that Tony hasn’t listened to any of them so he starts getting more and more unhinged and saying way more than he would ever say to Tony’s face and Tony is just lurking, growing more and more fond of this kid that rambles to his voicemailbox.

Peter’s still a shy bean to his face, so he doesn’t mention that yes, he actually does listen to the voicemails in fear of Peter stopping.

And then one day Tony slips up and mentions something that Peter told him in a voicemail and Peter is completely mortified. You mean his mentor actually listens to them? He’s heard Peter regale his most embarrassing school stories and gush about his childhood crush on Thor? He thinks his life is over until Tony panics and tells him that receiving the voicemails is one of the best parts of his day. Peter stares at him like a lost puppy and Tony shies away from the feelings and everything’s as awkward as usual.

But that night, a voicemail comes in, and it’s no different than any of the others. Peter yammers like his heart depends on it, and Tony can’t help but feel that it’s an acknowledgement of the fact that yeah, they may have a difficult time talking to one another in person, but they both care, and maybe if they keep trying, they can make this father-son thing work.

And Tony thinks that next time a phone call rolls in, he just might answer.

if i had a nickel for every time disney or their associated studios hired a major award winning actress with clear, strong beliefs and morals to portray a character who also embodied those ideas, only to throw them to the wolves when the general public turned on them for no reason, provide them with no protection from a violent and hateful audience, blame them for the failings of their respective studios and the reception to their films, i’d have two nickels. which isn’t a lot but it’s really fucked up that it’s happened twice.

Reading marvel crossovers is like waow they're bringing in so many characters here I'm learning so much and some of them seem really cool. Reading dc crossovers is like I don't care about the police please stop trying to make me care about the police I do not care about this cop and his friends are we almost done yet.

Funny thing about Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan in TFATWS, they weren't even acting at all. They were just being themselves lol

Honestly, I love it when actors have such a great rapport/chemistry with each other that it comes out on screen.... kind of makes everything better imo

Bit out of nowhere from me but I hate hate HATE how nowadays comic book writers who have never touched an Iron Man comic before write him as a tech bro without any kind of class awareness

As if Tony hasn't canonically been homeless and almost died because of it

As if there weren't lots (and I mean LOTS) of Iron Man comics that are a direct critique of capitalism because no matter how intelligent and talented Tony is, he loses a lot of money because he focuses on doing the right thing and not on making the line go up

As if Iron Man didn't have lots and lots of old comics warning about climate change and global warming

And I blame 1) The Civil War comic and 2) The MCU for this

people LOVE using the excuse of “just bcuz the writer said so doesn’t mean it’s canon” and that the line “i’m not a lesbian, i’m not anything” doesn’t actually make yelena aroace

okay. so by that logic, deadpool isn’t canonically pansexual (even tho the writers confirmed it)

and by that logic, loki isn’t canonically bisexual since “a bit of both” isn’t actually a direct confirmation of his bisexuality

if you’re telling me that yelena needs to say the words “i’m aromantic asexual” in order for her aroace identity to be canon, then that same logic better apply to other queer characters, otherwise you’re being a hypocritical aphobic asshole

if you can’t accept a queer characters canon identity based on their actions or words unless they literally say their sexuality/romantic identity out loud, you’re losing so much representation (especially of the casual queer kind) and character diversity
