I just need to vent for a second...I'm in the process of leaving my job of 15 years at a social justice nonprofit in Texas due to funding cuts related to state, federal, and corporate anti-DEI bullshit. Plus this is where the Christofascist dream comes to thrive.

As soon as I had been laid off, I started paying attention to my in crisis physical self and the body issues I had been ignoring as I burned out at work and tried to fundraise to save our org0. I discovered just as I am losing my health insurance that my complex endometroiosis is back...my IUD stopped releasing hormones early which control my endo growth and a recent ultrasound revealed I have growths in my pelvis region again, most likely endometriomas that have come back, given my condition.

My gyno is so over booked there's no way to get help or have it controlled again for the foreseeable future until I find a new job in a dying field in a Christo fascist state that would rather let someone like me die of a failed pregnancy in parking lot than they'd approve an in-office IUD replacement.

As far too many of us fucking know, the impacts of bigotry and fascism at the federal level aren't nebulous scary looming forces that """""may""""" cause issues. They are a state of affairs of SO MUCH SUFFERING AND PAIN for no reason other than billionaires want more money and the religious right wants to control us all, so they struck the most unholy of alliances. It's all so fucked. We're all so fucked. And I'm one of the lucky ones, comparably. I want to puke with rage.

probably talked about this before but it is still crazy to me of phi's status as patient zero for radical-6. she is the host the virus first claims. her twin brother created the virus. she knows what it will do, knows what apocalypse will happen, but can't do anything about it. she begs diana to kill her, it's an act of mercy for both herself and the world, but diana cant do it. against her wishes she has to live she's the only character to get it at two separate instances - and she has the capacity to remember both of them. the virus's main symptom is suicidal ideation. a lot of this only happened because she had the idea to use the bomb to escape - delta forcing her to have blood on her hands as a result. there's definitely some degree of guilt involved. or what of the 3 months between ztd and april? the months she spends recovering, only to become a vessel for the next 45 years? this is the phi that ends up back at the end of vlr. the phi who unintentionally caused the very thing she swore to stop

Happy Fifth Anniversary to Clone Force 99 !!!! ❤️🖤🩶🖤❤️

it was exactly five (5) years ago on this date (Feb 21st) that Hunter, Crosshair, Tech, and Wrecker made their onscreen debut in The Clone Wars Season 7 !

it feels like this time with our boys has been forever and a blur at the same time. i wish we could have had more seasons with them; but with the release of their 4-issue comic miniseries and full-length novel this year, it looks like CF99 will be sticking around one way or another for the next five years :)

mere words cannot express what this show and these characters have meant to me these past five years. there have been tears of joy, tears of happiness, and a neverending abundance of admiration and love. i know they're just pixelated people on a screen, but they mean the world to me and have changed my life for the better.

my deepest thanks go out to all those involved in creating and bringing The Bad Batch and their story to life, and for keeping it going for three wonderful seasons.

and my thanks go out to you, tumblr community! it has been an absolute joy getting to laugh, cry, scream, and fangirl together with you these past five years. your discussions, memes, artwork, gifs, photosets, fanfics, merch, and zines have made this show even more enjoyable and memorable. thank you!!!!!! and here's to the next five! 🫡💖
