After a few months, I've finally finished the sequel to this fic. Takes place about a week after the first one. I made him get therapy, guys. This is very dialogue heavy. Besides just referencing Subspace and Master Core and all that, because Palutena's involved here, I've also made her vent about things too. I hope her wrote her well enough...part of the reason it took this long is because I was unsure if my characterization of her was accurate enough.

Now,it’s time for the most random Kirby AU/(theory????????????? Not really though) you have ever heard,I came up with this at 1 AM while very sleep deprived

In this AU,Fecto Elfilis is actually the reincarnation of the embodiment of subspace Tabuu (the guy from Super Smash Bros Brawl) who got flung to the ancient past of the Kirby universe after his defeat and reincarnated there ig

This AU has zero basis and is very stupid,they don’t even look like! But idk,I think it’s cool,plus it involves Tabuu getting a redemption arc,sorta, through Elfilin which is neat especially if you know his lore

Uh yeah,I kinda based this off my old theory when the World of Light trailer first came out and I guessed that Galeem was a reincarnation of Tabuu and also connected (or even a) Master Core (though obviously that was disproven when the game came out)

Also somewhat related but if there is a another smash game and Magolor gets in before/instead of Bandee,I will punch a wall/silly

Last year I done some outfits for Lacazette (x) including casual and stage gear, I wanted to do some armour for him but undecided between buhurt or LARP. After spending more time learning how a set of armour work and look into a lot of fabulous manuscripts I decide jousting is his hobby now :))) 🦢🦢 He's not a professional jouster but he's well served in the sport, an intense opponent who loves wreaking people. A friend and I were theorizing, and we think that Master Core, at least partially, is a sort of manifestation of his trauma/pent-up emotions. Mostly because of how weirdly similar the Giant form looks to Tabuu, and how it shares a lot of attack patterns with him.

Oh I've always been a fan of the Master Core = repressed trauma theory but Master Giant being because of Tabuu........ oughhh (positive)

Omg,, I kinda have a similar hc with Master Core where basically the hard bros, when they experience any extreme emotion, just spill their guts out and form their "core" forms.

In my little canon, when Master was proposed to, he was so happy that he turned into Master Beast and started going full DOG MODE.

Well...I may have made it a bit too vague in the fic...but I'd say mine is negative emotions specifically. Hence why it showed up the way it did. Also...I actually haven't decided whether CH would also have this specifically...hence why he wasn't even sure it would appear the same way for him. I was thinking, to contrast MH's being him losing control (at least at first) CH's would be like hyperfocusing while in a tranquil fury. That way it contrasts how the calm and collected is no longer just that and the erratic and transient isn't...and how terrifying that would be to someone who knows them. Still not sure if I want to go that route or not though. I'd say once MH at the very least gets a waaay better handle on it (which he probably does- we never see this power again in Ultimate, meaning he most likely got better control over both it and his emotions. Though...no way he didn't let people still fight him like that...hence why you can keep coming back to fight it in that game.) he'd be able to use bits of it to make himself stronger if needed- like using the swords from Master Edge, or the scorpion-like tail from Master Beast, etc. I am glad someone else has a pretty similar take though! Yours is pretty good too! Personally, if my version of him got that happy, he'd just burst into tears, I think. Wait...proposed to?

i think that something really interesting about the armored core series is the armored cores themselves and what they thematically represent

given everything else in the games, you might initially think that they are representative of the dehumanization and removal of free will that pilots face, essentially being their cage. but, the thing is, it really seems like they're the opposite.

the armored core is the one part of their life a pilot controls. it is designed by them, for them, as an extension of themselves. they get to choose every part, every color, every decal. it is theirs. and when they're piloting it, they have control, they have freedom. this is probably most felt in 4th and 5th gen where the soundtracks constantly convey a sense of this freedom, but it is somewhat felt throughout the series.

this is also why it's an extremely common plot thread that the corporations are trying to essentially phase out armored cores in favor of mass produced machines. they don't like this one remaining bit of freedom mercenaries have and want to remove it and the power that comes with it, replaced with nondescript, impersonal machines.

Thinkin about the core bosses again (the Hands + WoL duo + Tabuu) (yes that's what I'm calling them now you can't stop me). Specifically their "cores", or central body parts.

If you don't know what I'm talking about, I'm building off some previous headcanons tying them together as similar beings.

The relation between Master Hand and Master Core has already been discussed plenty: after taking care of the Swarm, which tears out of Master Hand, we're left with Master Core.

Master Core looks like a pearlescent orb of color that becomes more red as it takes damage, and sometimes you can see the same horizontal and vertical lines you see as the Smash logo.

Certainly a lot more power than its previous Hand form, being able to insta-KO at higher difficulties, releasing a powerful burst of energy when KOed in a way other KOed characters don't, and being able to instantly KO itself at will.

At the current date I'm making this post, any existence of Crazy Hand's core is entirely hypothetical; the only reason any of us assume he has one at all is because Master Hand has one.

Unlike Master Hand having a colored orb as a core neatly contained within his body, Galeem and Dharkon both have cores that can be knocked away from their limbs and hit individually. Galeem has his glowing ball of light, and Dharkon has his eye.

That's all fine and good, but then there's Tabuu.

Tabuu's core is weird, in that it isn't spherical like the others', but is instead donut shaped. Additionally, Tabuu can shapeshift to change whether his core is attached/inside his body or if it floats outside the body vaguely in the center.

Tabuu's different shaped core could be related to his ties to Subspace. Maybe it's the reason he's able to change his shape so freely, and/or maybe it does something else. We know he has different abilities than everyone else, but we don't really know what all it changes on a fundamental level, if anything. Maybe it's just that he's more "alien" than the others.

I bring you another fic :) Somehow, this is the shortest gap between fics I've ever had...is it because both this and the last one were so short in comparison to some of the others? Anyway, this is my explanation for how Master Core works...for at least the first time it appears in Smash 4. I've got a part 2 in the works that'll further explore both what was talked about here and some stuff I couldn't fit in here.
