I know a lot of people harp on Italy and Australia and even all the way back to Valentine’s Day 2024, however, I feel like something solidified during this stop.

Decisions were made and that flows over into what we saw during the Toronto and Irelands stops. Very couple coded behaviors imo. This is where that rumor about that Spain trip comes into play, too. I’m not saying that rumor is true…but I’m saying I wouldn’t be surprised.

So what if this is where some agreement came into play?

NYC had already happened. Antonia made it known she was there. We saw the footage and whatever you may think about her existence there, what if it’s what prompted a deal?

Because people were noticing things between Luke and Nic. They were flirting too close to the sun but also the fandom at the time was noticing Antonia as well.

Apr 11, Xi'an, China, Beilin Museum (Stele Forest):

I must preface this post with an unfortunate news: because the Museum dug up a Tang dynasty taimiao/太庙 (imperial ancestral shrine) within the Museum area itself while renovating, all of the actual steles have been moved in order to begin excavation, and all we saw were ink rubbings of the steles. I will provide some pics I found online of the actual steles where possible.

Jingjiao Stele/大秦景教流行中国碑:

First up is one of the most famous steles of the Beilin Museum, known in the West as the Jingjiao Stele or the Nestorian Stele. The actual name is 大秦景教流行中国碑, which translates to "Memorial of the Propagation in China of Jingjiao from Daqin". Jingjiao/景教 is the ancient Chinese name of Church of the East, and Daqin/大秦 is the ancient Chinese name for Eastern Roman Empire. The stele was first erected in 781 AD (Tang dynasty, during reign of Emperor Dezong of Tang).

This stele is not only valuable because of what it records, but also because it has Syriac on it too:

According to Wikipedia this is what the Syriac text on the bottom says:

"In the year of the Greeks one thousand and ninety-two, the Lord Yazedbuzid, Priest and Vicar-episcopal of Cumdan the royal city, son of the enlightened Mailas, Priest of Balach a city of Turkestan, set up this tablet, whereon is inscribed the Dispensation of our Redeemer, and the preaching of the apostolic missionaries to the King of China. ["The Priest Lingpau", in Chinese] "Adam the Deacon, son of Yazedbuzid, vicar-episcopal. The Lord Sergius, Priest and Vicar-episcopal. Sabar Jesus, Priest. Gabriel, Priest, Archdeacon, and Ecclesiarch of Cumdan and Sarag."

Letter about a Stomachache/肚痛帖:

This is my personal favorite, by famous Tang dynasty calligrapher Zhang Xu/张旭 (685 ? - 759 ?). This work is hailed as one of the greatest examples of Caoshu/Cursive Script/草书.

The actual contents are quite funny, however, and it roughly reads:

忽肚痛不可堪，

"Suddenly I have an unbearable stomachache,

不知是冷熱所致，

I don't know if it's because of the cold or the heat,

欲服大黃湯，

I wanted to drink some medicine,

冷熱俱有益。

Which should alleviate the symptoms regardless of the cause.

如何為計，

What should I do,

非臨床。"

Not near bed."

Because Zhang Xu may have been trying to hold it back while writing, you can see feel how his stomachache progressed in the way he wrote everything. Caoshu truly is an expressive script. In fact it's so expressive, the last three characters (on the very left) have become unsolved mysteries in academia. In my own translation above, I just directly translated the three characters that most academics think is on the last line.

Logograms Making up a Picture--Kuixing Pointing at the Dipper/集字魁星点斗图:

This is a very interesting stele, in that it's a carving of a painting that's made up of Chinese characters, which evolved from pictures themselves. The painting is by Ma Dezhao/马德昭, and the stele was erected between 1862 - 1874 (Qing dynasty). It depicts the Kuixing/魁星 (translated as "god of literature", but he's not the only god of literature btw) standing on the back of an Ao/鳌 (mythical turtle creature) and pointing at the character 斗, which is short for the Big Dipper.

The characters making up the god of literature reads:

“正心���身，克己複禮” (written out above in red-orange-yellow-green-cyan-blue-purple-magenta), which roughly translates to "rectify your mind, improve yourself, have self-restraint, and practice good manners".

This painting subject also has a legend behind it. One version says that when Kuixing was a human, he was a talented and learned scholar who received first place (called zhuangyuan/状元) in the imperial exams, but because his ugly appearance scared the empress, he was chased out of the palace. Out of anger at how he was treated, he threw himself into the sea and drowned. The Jade Emperor pitied him, so he gave the scholar a red brush, and made him watch over all imperial examinations. Thus Kuixing became the god of all students and aspiring scholars.

Logograms Hidden in the Picture--Bamboo Poem about Guanyu/关帝诗竹:

This stele erected by Han Zai/韩宰 in 1716 (Qing dynasty) is similar to the previous one in that it's also a picture made up of Chinese characters, but it's more hidden within the picture.

It's a poem about Guanyu/关���, the famous general during Three Kingdoms period (220 AD - 280 AD), and it reads:

不謝東君意，

I shall not be thanking the spring wind's kindness directly, ("spring wind" here refers to Cao Cao/曹操, who treated Guanyu well)

丹青獨立名。

But shall leave my name in history as an upright loyal person.

莫嫌孤葉淡，

Although the leaves may be sparse,

終久不凋零。

They will never wither and fall.

The poem was supposed written by Guanyu before he left Cao Cao to reunite with his sworn brother Liu Bei/刘备, and uses the imagery of bamboo--both in a visual sense and in a literary sense--as a metaphor for Guanyu's unwavering loyalty.

One Stroke "Longevity"/一笔“壽”:

Again by Ma Dezhao/马德昭, this time in 1870. I must say I like his ideas. This is an abstract calligraphy piece of the character for longevity/壽, written in one stroke, but is actually composed of the numbers 九十九 (99) and 二十一 (21) (read from top down). Because 99 + 21 = 120, and if anyone can live to be 120, they will have lived a long life indeed.

Pine and Red Crowned Crane/松鹤图:

By painter Zhu Jiyi/朱集义 in 1680 (Qing dynasty). Pine in traditional Chinese imagery means resilience and longevity, and red crowned crane also symbolize longevity, especially in Daoist imagery where they are the mount of choice for many immortals. Together they make up the word 松鹤延年, which means "pine and crane brings longevity".

Dongpo's Authentic Work/东坡真迹:

This is an authentic calligraphy work by Su Shi/苏轼 (1037 AD - 1101 AD), whose pen name is Dongpo/东坡. The stele was erected in 1081 AD. Here he wrote down Returning Homeward/归去来兮辞 by Tao Yuanming/陶渊明 (365 AD - 427 AD).

Xie Fangbao's Epitaph/解方保墓志:

Epitaph of Xie Fangbao/解方保, a Sui dynasty (581 AD - 618 AD) general who died in 610 AD. Ancient Chinese epitaphs have a two-piece structure, the tablet where the epitaph is engraved (right), and a protective stone covering that has the deceased's name and title engraved on top (left), surrounded by engravings of imagery that represent the universe. This epitaph is considered to be an excellent example of Sui dynasty epitaphs and calligraphy.

Make sure she is safe, guard her with your life if you have to.” Ever since Rae had left for the Conclave at the behest of the First, her mother’s command had echoed in her ears. She’d ensured her sister’s safety for twenty years, taught her to fight and survive in a world that did not care for them. The first thing Rae had done with those skills was insist to the Keeper that she be the representative from their clan to spy on the Conclave - potentially the most influential meeting of the century, a chance for the Chantry, the templars and the mages they oppressed to meet and form a treaty.

2. One Plus Two Makes Three (CullenxLavellanxTrevelyan, Complete, M) - Competing for the affection of the same girl as another guy could be an exhilarating game, but after a period of playful tension and uncertainty, the thrill began to fade. Emotions inevitably entered the mix, and with those emotions came a sense of attachment that made Ash's skin crawl. He was out the door before she could put her panties on - still damp from the previous night's passion, now stiffening as they dried in the morning air.

3. Sweater Weather (CullenxLavellan, Complete, E) - The fingers of Father Winter wrapped themselves around Cordelia’s spine and set her to shivering. Her innate pyromancy typically kept her from feeling the worst of the chill, even in the glacial mountains of Skyhold the cold had been nothing more than a mild irritant at best. Yet, after a full day of using her magic to the point of draining herself almost entirely, her mana reserves were low, and her natural heat abandoned her. Fixing up their home in the middle of winter may not have been her brightest idea, but once inspiration struck, she couldn't resist diving headfirst into the project. A distraction from her tumultuous emotions, she knew this, yet she wasn't ready to confront everything she'd discovered at the Exalted Council.

4. I Love You, I’m Sorry (CullenxLavellan, Complete, M) - Knock, knock, knock, a sharp, firm tapping at the door to her small wooden cabin. The sound sliced through the quiet, pulling Ash's attention away from the pages of her book - a loan from Dorian that she’d already read many times over, but she’d always been a sucker for romance. Especially smutty romance.

5. A Lesson In Humour (AlistairxOC, Complete, T) - “Right.” Alistair's fingers drummed against the table, slightly sticky from spilled ale. “You want me to teach you how to notice when someone’s telling a joke?”

Back as straight as a board, Lux shifted in her seat. “That’s correct.”

His lips pursed as he considered her request. “I appreciate your confidence in my skills of wit and humour, but I’m rather curious as to why you’d choose me, specifically.”

6. Taking Dicks and Taking Pics (CullenxTrevelyan, Complete, E) - Never before had Astoria felt so insatiable. All it had taken was a little taste of a bashful blush when he’d been proven wrong, and she’d been hooked. From that moment on, Cullen had taken up permanent residence in her thoughts. That lopsided smirk that tugged at the scar on his upper lip, the crow's feet around his eyes that crinkled when he chuckled. Ugh, he was undeniably, irritatingly handsome.

7. Cadaver Hearts (EmmrichxRook, Complete, M) - Steady breathing trailed over the top of her head and through her mussed hair. Lithe fingers ran up and down her sternum, absentmindedly following the raised tissue like a map. His delicate wrist was free of the many bangles Aster adored but found uncomfortable when they dug into her sides as they slept cuddled together. She was relatively certain that if Emmrich had a choice, he’d never take them off. They were as much a part of him as his pencil mustache, though she’d never ask him to remove that. She enjoyed the way it tickled her upper lip or cheek in chaste kisses.

8. My Soul to Keep (ReaderxViktor—Arcane, In-Progress, M) - The room was unfamiliar. Shelves of leather-bound books lined the walls, trinkets scattered around - at first glance seemingly random, but once you gave it more thought, their placement was nothing if not precise. A worn leather couch sat at the centre of the space, facing the shelves, two end tables on either side. A cozy, wine-red rug slipped beneath a coffee table stained with water rings, remnants of long-forgotten mugs. A modest kitchen sat off to your right, tiled with a plain off-white hexagonal pattern, and to your left—

A desk, cluttered with odds and ends, papers stacked high, but your gaze was drawn to the figure turned towards you.

9. Gentle Creatures (Cole&Lavellan&Merrill, Complete, G) - “Oh, aren’t they just dreadfully cute?” Merrill cooed as she trailed her fingers gently between the nug’s ears. “I can see why Sister Nightingale is so fond of them.”

Lavellan smiled, a nug in her lap and another snuffling at her bare toes - her stockings exposing most of her feet. “If someone had told me that Leliana, the left hand of the Divine and infamous cutthroat rogue, bred nugs, I’d have laughed in their face.”

“Father and son, second of his name.” Cole, who had taken quite the fascination with the nugs, had crouched down, his face level with one of Leliana’s favourites. “She misses her first, but honours his memory.”

10. Petals in a Storm (AlistairxMahariel, Complete, T) - A year. It had been a year since Adhlea had last seen or had any non-formal contact with Alistair. She received the occasional letter from the crown - as Teryna of Gwaren, it was her duty to report her taxes collected and any threats posed to her lands - and while he had signed all correspondence, she doubted he’d done more than take a cursory glance at most. However, it hadn’t stopped her from ripping the first letter to shreds and then sobbing over the remains.

Cute little Mileapo things from their flight back from Paris. First of all, this is their luggage, Apo's is marked with hands emoji, Mile's with the heart one:

Apo loaded most of the suitcases on, including Mile's (maybe because Mile has been feeling under the weather during this trip), but when he wanted to load his black one, the biggest of the bunch, Mile still wouldn't let him:

This is what I mean when I say that I love how they both take care of each other.

As far as I can tell, it was only Mileapo and Gift flying back together (and an Indonesian fan who was there has now confirmed this). Keep that in mind when I share this pic:

It looks like that's Mile's suitcase with a pride sticker on it. IF it's not, the only other options for who it may belong to are Apo and Gift. It's unlikely to be Apo's since he brought with him two big suitcases for this trip, he wouldn't need an extra small one. I... do not think Gift walks around with a pride sticker on any of her belongings, she just doesn't seem the type. So yeah, I tend to think this is Mile's. Our man walking around with a pride sticker on his luggage just makes me so happy and proud of him!

Update after Mileapo had landed in Bangkok, as they and Gift are seen carrying their own luggage, it confirms that the suitcase with the pride sticker on it is Mile's. Here they are, Apo carrying his big red and black suitcases, and Mile carrying the big black one in his left hand (right side of pic) and the one with the rainbow pride sticker (in his right hand, with the smaller bag on top):

Lastly, Mile shared pics today from lunch at a restaurant on Sep 27. I wrote here that Apo's pic (posted Sep 29) showed he was at the same place as Mile and the gang (despite people initially thinking Apo spent that whole day separate from Mile). Here's that pic:

Today, Mile shared a matching pic of him sitting in the same spot:

Notice that other than one glass with a drink, everything else is just a part of the set up and decoration of this restaurant's table (yes, including the lemon). I mentioned in the above linked post already that the table where the whole group actually ate lunch is different to the one where Apo's pic was taken:

So either the whole group moved (which I believe to be less likely) or at some point, Mile and Apo went over to the other table at the end of the restaurant's tables area to take pics with a nicer background, and then they took each other's pic in the same spot. Maybe they even sat there a bit on their own before returning to the group.

During lunch itself, it seems like they shared their food, Mile's fork has a piece of the dish that's in the plate in front of Apo (you can recognize him by the jeans shirt he was wearing in the above pic under his blazer):

And since from this pic it's clear that Apo was sitting right across from Mile, I think it's also likely that it was Apo who took this beautiful photo, proving once more he's the best Mile photographer:

a/n: here it is, I kinda changed it up and made hoon jealous because (y/n) was more 'flirtatious' with another member so I hope that's okay too, if not, just tell me and I'll change it to your liking as per your request :)

a/n (2) EDIT: the people who saw this as a hc, no you didn't. and I rewrote this because I was quite unsatisfied with it at first and so I decided to use what I had before and made it a oneshot instead.

You knew your boyfriend was someone who was always cracking a joke with friends, but you also knew Park Sunghoon was a jealous person.

Having dated for quite some time, he thought it through and decided to finally introduce you to his group members because they were not only his coworkers but also like a second family to him.

Ofcourse he wanted his the people he spent majority of his time with to like his favourite person.

You were able to meet his members and they absolutely loved you, some more than others Sunghoon noticed too.

Undoubtedly you were a very likeable person. You were kind, funny and outgoing, the perfect partner to him he would say but you were being a bit too kind to his members.

He at the very least thought you would simply be cordial with his members, he didn't expect you to be so close to them to the point where you would playfully banter and share inside jokes with them.

To be more specific, why did it have to be Jake, his best friend.

Sunghoon's jealousy was like a ticking time bomb.

Yes, he was upset to find out you were a Jake pc collector but he let that go.

And yes, you showed him the lego bouquet Jake made for you and despite his rage burning inside of him, he let that go too.

But this new friendship between you and his friend was driving him up the wall, he was bound to explode at any time.

At some point he did have enough of it and he confronted you about a post you made with Jake, having captioned it, 'out with my favourite person, luv u <3', you hadn't seen any harm in this platonic flirting whereas your boyfriend couldn't wrap his head around the fact that it you couldn't see anything wrong with it AND he felt like he was slowly losing you to his own friend.

You had came over to the enhypen dorm later that day to have a movie night with your boyfriend and passing by the kitchen, you notice Jake and excitedly give him a hug before sharing a handshake.

He let out a scoff not believing it, how could you have a handshake with Jake but not him, YOUR OWN BOYFRIEND?

"Well if you'll excuse us, I have a movie date with MY girlfriend." Sunghoon interrupts your conversation with Jake as he held onto your wrist and dragged you away into the living room where he had everything set up.

Everything was going just as he liked, you were both cuddled up on the couch watching a movie, you had all the attention on him and obviously, no Jake.

Or so he thought.

"Hey, could I join you guys if you don't mind. Ni-ki and Heeseung are out playing basketball but I felt like staying in today." he says scratching the back of his neck.

"Ofcourse Jakey!" you say right before Sunghoon was about to protest as you patted the seat beside you as Jake sat down getting comfortable.

JAKEY?! Sunghoon was fuming at this point, when did you even reach the nickname basis with him? He loved his best friend, he really did, but more than anything in the world right now, Sunghoon wanted to cuss him out for ruining your indoor date.

Looking over you at the end of the movie, Sunghoon turns to see you laying your head on Jake's shoulder peacefully asleep and that was his breaking point.

All that pent up jealousy and possessiveness he felt finally exploded.

"Yah! Are you trying to steal my partner from me? I'm tired of you always trying to take them away!" he quickly stands up as he yelled at Jake pointing an accusing finger at him.

The commotion had woken you up and before you could talk to your boyfriend he left the room to try and calm himself down.

Jake had felt bad for making his best friend feel this way, it obviously wasn't intentional, he just thought you were a great friend he made who he got along well with.

"I'm so sorry Hoonie, you know it was never my intention to make you feel like a third wheel of some sort, you're always my number one." you try your best to reassure him.

As angry as he was, he also knew he was at fault for lashing out on both you and Jake as well as not expressing how left out he felt.

It took alot in him to do it, but Sunghoon put his pride aside and apologised to Jake and ofcourse Jake apologised too, they knew they couldn't stay mad at each other anyway.

All you needed to do to keep your boyfriend happy was to make sure you gave him your undivided attention alot more and ofcourse showering him with all your kisses and compliments did just the trick to see his beautiful smile again.

"Wow, I have the most handsome boyfriend huh?" you tell him trying to fuel his ego as his ears went red and he gave you a kiss on your cheek.

"Gross." you heard a voice say turning to see Riki pass by making a disgusted face at the amount of affection you and Sunghoon gave each other.

What do you mean it’s been two years since the release of D-Day? 😮

I mentioned before that I’d post my 2023 D-Day concert in LA recap.

I became ARMY in September 2022 so this was the first BTS (or BTS member) concert I saw in person. I posted this recap somewhere else a while back and thought I’d post it here since it’s the second anniversary of the D-Day album.

May 14, 2023 - D-Day concert in LA, Day 2

Seeing the ARMY bombs light up and the crowd move and scream as Yoongi went into the first song was just … wow. I felt this moment of pure energy and connection that I couldn't explain. That ONE feeling was worth what I went through to get here. And I finally got why BTS loves ARMY so much.

YOONGI! I couldn't focus on him at times because I got lost in his songs. Daewichta was one of those times. He looked so intense and got lost in the song too. I'm the king, I'm the boss! Yes, he was.

Agust D was a blast to sing. Heheheh. A to the G, to the U to the STD!

He had a half smirk at the end of this one song and I thought either he was pleased or he had a secret. Or both. (It was both. Halsey showed up!)

He broke out into this huge smile after singing with Halsey. In the other songs, he was focused, intense or calm so that huge smile was 😍.

His voice sounded higher in some songs and I wondered if it was the sound system or a stylistic choice on his part. His voice returned to his usual range after a while.

I liked the set piece he had down stage where he could watch TV and play the piano. It was closer to the crowd and had a comfy and welcoming vibe overall.

Speaking of the piano, he was being playful and crashed his fingers on it one point. Lol.

I cried when he played Life Goes On. I knew I would because I really love his version of the song and hearing it live was 🤯🥹. Raw and stripped down and powerful.

I thought I was prepared for Cypher Pt. 3, UGH! and Ddaeng. Nope, not even close. God damn it, Min Yoongi!

I half expected Woosung to show up during Snooze. He didn't but the song was beautiful. My favorite from D-Day! ‘Everything will be okay’ and ‘Dream’. Yeah, I felt that.

During his ment, he said the first time they played in LA was in a club with 300 people and now he was playing in an arena with 16,000 people. Awww.

Oh, doing the chants was so much fun! I was so happy when ARMY chanted “BTS! BTS! BTS!” And then yay, there was the BTS fan chant which I didn't think l'd ever get to do live. Also, chanting his name Yoongi or Min Yoongi was satisfying. Best part? Chanting “I love, I love, I love myself!”

Some fan signs were funny. A couple of signs said they skipped graduation for Yoongi. One sign said she ditched the kids for Mother's Day and went to see Yoongi. Lol. Priorities!

One of the loudest cheers went up when a pic of Jungkook from the CK shoot was shown.

Overall, the concert was a fucking amazing experience and I'm so excited to see him again in June! I already got my movie theater ticket for the live broadcast of his Japan concert. Min Yoongi!

Aaaa, thank you! I actually decided to shift my focus back to traditional art very recently and it means a lot to hear that ;; I hope this helps you and anyone else with similar questions!!

So I have two methods that I usually rely on when capturing my traditional art. The first one is kind of limited, but it is faster and more accessible. For these demonstrations, I'm going to use a colored sketch of my OC, Brinley. Step One: Taking Your Photo! All you'll need for the first method is your phone. What you want to do first is to find an area with nice, even lighting- the less warm, the less you'll have to correct later, so the closer to daylight, the better. In fact, using the light outside is a great way to capture your art! Note: If you are in a place with very cool lighting you will also have to correct the colors, but in my experience, cooler light is easier to work with. Position your artwork so it's illuminated with the light source directly in front of you. If it is behind you, it will be harder to get your shadow out of the shot. The spot I was in had my light source behind me, so my arm covered it a bit.

I repositioned myself to a spot with the light source in front of me instead, and I was able to get a nicer shot.

Keep your phone as level as possible over your drawing, and as close as possible without your phone going out of focus.

And now the first step is done! Step Two: Editing Your Photo! This is where everything starts to come together! Firstly, crop your drawing to your preference. I try to keep the negative space around my art as even as possible. IPhones have a handy feature where you can choose an even aspect ratio, so that will help keep things simpler if you want. Next, all you have to do is mess with the settings until you get it how you want it to look. Filters can help it to look more cohesive. I like to keep the art close by me to reference so I can get it to look as close to real life as possible. Note: black and white art is the easiest to edit due to the high contrast. Finished! Congrats! Your art is ready to post! Here's what my sketch looked like after I added a vivid filter and then messed with the settings.

The second method can be a bit more difficult, but the results always look better than just taking a photo. What you'll need is a computer (I think you can also use an ipad- any device will work as long as it can connect to the scanner), a scanner and any art/photo editing software. Step One: Scanning! The scanner I use is technically used for office work, but can be used to scan photos, therefore the quality is very much in the middle. There are scanners that are used purely for scanning high quality images of art and photography that will produce much better results on the initial scan, but this works just fine! There are also stores and other places where you can scan your work even if you don't own a scanner. First, make sure your art is as flat as possible and in the middle of the scanning bed. It doesn't have to be perfectly straight as it can be edited later, but if it isn't flat or it's on the edge of the bed, it will end up blurry in some areas or completely cut off. After that, go to your device and set the resolution to at least 300 dpi to guarantee a high quality scan, and then begin. This is what my sketch looked like after the initial scan.

Now we can move onto the next step! Step Two: Editing! You may have noticed that the colors are very washed out- scanners that aren't optimized for art and photos tend to do this, but with some editing, it'll look great! After opening it in CSP and selecting a canvas size, it's ready to edit! Note: Opening the image directly will automatically set the document's dpi to 72. Idk if that's a constant for other programs, but this means the overall image quality will be very low, so the picture has to be imported into a higher quality document with dpi set to 300 manually. I usually just copy and paste it into another document. Level correction is your friend! That's the correction layer I use the most when editing and it does the most heavy lifting, usually. After that, I sometimes edit the saturation. Since this is a digital method, you can edit your drawing however you want! You can fix some mistakes this way, or completely change things. There were notes and a sketch next to this drawing that i didn't want, so i painted over them with white- since i edited the level correction to up the exposure, the painted areas are indistinguishable from the background. Finally, I add either a gradient map for cohesion or fiddle with the tone curve until I'm happy with the final product. Once again, I like to keep the original art next to me while I'm editing for reference. (And then after that I might add a noise filter or some other effect, LMAO) Finished!! And now you have your scanned art!

Like with anything, trial and error are very important! You'll get better at editing art over time, so don't be discouraged if it doesn't look like you wanted it to the first time. Thank you for the ask, bye!!!!!!!

About a couple days ago you started not to feel good and found out you are late. So you decided to take a pregnancy test.

You and Joe got married about a year ago in May. It was the happiest day of your lives! Both you and Joe talked about kids before and said whenever it happens you guys will be ready and be by each other’s side for all of it. Through thick and thin. You were so nervous because you didn’t know how Joe was going to react. He had a post-practice interview a couple months ago and a reporter asked him if he was ready to have kids. You could tell Joe was a little mad and taken back because the reporters know not to really ask any personal questions about joes private life but Joe was nice and calm about it and said “I’m not a big fan with talking about my private life but whenever the time comes me and my wife would be ready but let’s stick to football questions right now.” And you thought that was a great answer given Joe is not very open to the public about that stuff. Once in the bathroom You take the test and wait 2 minutes. It was the longest 2 minutes of your life! When the alarm went off on your phone your heart started beating a thousand miles per second and you walked over to the bathroom counter to pick up the test. And there it was two blue lines across the screen of the test. You couldn’t believe it! You and Joe are going to be parents! You started crying from happiness but also you were a little scared to be honest. When you turned 20 you found out if you were to become pregnant there could be a possibility of a miscarriage due a surgery you had when you were 16. You didn’t want to go through that. So you sat on your bathroom floor with the test in hand trying to capture the moment and take everything in. Once feeling calm enough to get up you ran down stairs and quickly grabbed your keys to your car to go to target and pick out a onesie. Hopefully nobody recognized you and thankfully nobody did. Once home it was already 6pm and that was the time Joe got home from practice so you quickly ran to the kitchen counter and set the pregnancy test in counter along with the onesie. You smiled at the sight of it laying on the counter and took a pic then set up your camera and clicked record to film joes reaction. After a few minutes you heard the door open. This is it. Here goes nothing! “Y/n?”Joe asks. “In the kitchen!” You say. Joe walked in with a black shirt and black sweatpants and looked so handsome like always. He dropped his bags and opened his arms to give you a hug. You quickly feel into his embrace and said “I have a surprise for you!” “You do?!” He said! “Close your eyes and when I tell you open,ok?!” You told him. “Ok!” He said. You grabbed his hand and led him to the counter with his eyes closed. “Open” you say once stopped. Joe opened his eyes and looked around confused then stopped at what caught his eye on the counter. He gasped and looked at you. “Really!”he said “yes!” You answered back. “You’re going to be a dad Joey!” You said with a big smile and wrapped your arms around his neck. He kissed you and said “God! I love you y/n and our baby.” He placed his right hand on your belly. “We will get through it y/n, ok? Promise!” He said knowing there could be a problem with you being pregnant. “I know but I’m still worried.” You said in a sad tone. “I know but I’m right here and will be with you through the thick and thin.” Joey said. That night Joe couldn’t keep his hands off your stomach and you felt better knowing you had a great husband who would be there.

A couple days later, yours and joes families came over for dinner. You were wearing leggings and a black oversized crewneck. You know you don’t have to get dressed up because it’s juts family and you are eating at home but you also weren’t in the mood to dress up because you didn’t feel the greatest due to the bun in the oven. “Joe they are here!” You say as you walk to the front door to greet your in-laws and parents. After a great dinner with your families you and Joe decide it’s time to tell them the big news! “So, um me and y/n have something we need to say.” Joe says rubbing his neck while smiling at you. You smile back and give Joe a nod and pull out the pregnancy test you kept in your sleeve and you and Joe both say “we’re pregnant!” “OMG!” Both parents say and come over to hug you and Joe. “We will be there for y/n and Joe every step in the way and always a phone call away!” Robin says and jimmy and your parents agreeing. They both know what could happen during your time being pregnant and know it can be hard not knowing if everything will be ok. But you are so lucky to have a great support system.

Today's bug: Tailless whip scorpion!

Sorry I haven't been active for so long.. anyways I got a new pet today - this female tailless whip scorpion (likely Phrynus whitei), so I'll tell you about them!

Tailless whip scorpions are arachnids in the Order Amblypygi (am-BLIP-idge-eye) and they're quite ancient! They even look a bit prehistoric, I think. There's about 150 species of tailless whip scorpion.

Adapted for crawling around dark forests and cave walls, these arthropods are nearly blind - their simple eyes giving them only vague information, like the level of surrounding light. That's where their loooong 2nd pair of legs come in!

See those long "whips" from which they get their name? Those are for feeling their surroundings. When active, they'll be constantly moving around them around to sense their environment. The whips are very fragile and can break easily, but can be regrown every molt!

Tailless whip scorpions are NOT scorpions, nor are they spiders. And those terrifying front claws aren't legs either - they're heavily modified mouthparts, pedipalps to be precise. Speaking of scorpions, their grabby claws are also their pedipalps! In spiders, these are those cute little appendages right next to the chelicerae (the things that have the fangs).

Unlike both scorpions and spiders, however, a tailless whip scorpion cannot bite or sting. They're almost totally harmless! Practically the posterchild for "don't judge a book by its cover," these are some of the friendliest arachnids in the world. You have to seriously to make one angry (which is basically abuse, so don't do that), and even then they'll only try smacking you with their thorny pedipalps, never biting with their fangs.

About the only truly scary part of handling them (once you get past their appearance) is their speed. These things normally move very slowly (on account of the "blind and has to touch everything" thing), but if startled, they'll bolt in the opposite direction with incredible speed! They really, really would rather not confront you at all. I cannot emphasize enough how completely NOT dangerous these arachnids are, despite their look!

Btw, did you know the mommas make great parents? Like many other large arachnids, the mothers will take their young with them until they're large enough to hunt on their own. They hatch from an egg pouch carried on the underside of the abdomen, which looks absolutely alien - in the source for the above image, you can find pictures of the whole process.

You may have seen this meme ^ Their pedipalps, usually folded up, can also unfold to catch prey or defend themselves (in the original video for this pic, the owner is provoking this reaction - something I don't condone, even if it showcases their grab ability very well). Tailless whip scorpions are carnivores, and the prey they catch are usually small insects like crickets or flies.

Tailless whip scorpions are found in almost every warm, tropical part of the world - Central/South America, Africa, Asia, and even some islands like the Phillipines!

Here's my t.w.s.' habitat. They're very easy pets to take care of! Just make sure you have a habitat that favors verticality - they need to be able to climb to feel at home! Cork board is best, either just on the back, or 2-3 sides of the enclosure. Humidity is a must, so have the base be filled with cocofiber, then add water and perhaps a heating pad set on low to maintain moisture. Moss helps too! All that's left is to feed them - just once or twice a month is enough.

The light on my display is too hot, and heats up the plastic really quickly, so I only use it briefly to find and observe her. They don't actually need light since they're used to being in the dark!

Wow, these questions are really thought-provoking. Thank you for the ask.

I tend to write all of my work in the same way, so I am going to answer these generally.

1. Start to finish, how long did it take to plan and write? Did you take breaks during the process?

This answer would have been different a few years ago (Lavender Clouds took 4 years to write and had several large gaps in uploads), but now I'm pretty consistent.

I do not plan a whole story before I start posting with it, but I do write a few chapters to make sure that it feels like it can continue to carry itself. For some stories, I vaguely know where I want them to go and how they will end, but for most, I am going on vibes alone.

It's hard to tell how long it would take me to write one story from start to finish because I am never working on just one story. But, I think, looking at my history over the last two years, I would say you could assume that it took more or less as many weeks to write in full as the story has chapters because the multi-stories set up paces me.

I like to take my breaks by working on other stories. I tend to average about 8-12 chapters a week but that is usually spread across 5-7 stories.

I have a habit of writing 10 chapters for one story and then not touching it for 2 months. Which is why I only release one chapter a week even when I am way way ahead of that.

6. How did you decide what tense and POV(s) to use?

For all my stories, I write 3rd person, past tense. I do that because my brain does not understand any other.

For POV, I tend to switch freely between the main couple and whoever else is relevant to the story to give you a piece of information that the main couple may not know. I usually use the POV of whoever has the most incite to the situation or who will be more impacted by it.

For example, if you have a breakup scene, depending on the context, the person being broken up being blindsided is the focus, or the person breaking up with them and the reason would be the focus. Depends on which you are trying to highlight.

For most scenes, either POV would do. One might just have a cuter thought process about the situation that I would enjoy writing more.

18. Talk about your editing and revision process

My whole writing process for every story is: - Write whole chapter - Do one read through edit - Put in to posting pile - After the story has been completely posted for like 6 months, go back and do more thorough editing

I do not like sitting in the same scenes for too long. I want to move on.

Occasionally, because I write a few chapters ahead of my posting schedule, I will notice something that I want to change about the story and will go back and move some details around, but that is rare. Only happens every few stories.

26. Share your favorite detail

I love details that are just kind of 'useless fluff.' I like to add little things like a seemingly unnecessary to plot conversation or an outing to the serves nothing more than just to be cute.

Domestic things like being upset about laundry, sweet moments, and being comfortable in bed.

Not everything is relevant. Not every scene is important to the plot.

I think it makes my world feel more lived in, but I know it can drive some people mad.
