Something really cool about the Storm Runner book is the fact that it's chapters all are written out with mayan numerals. As someone not from mexico and/or central america, I didn't know the mayans had their own number system. But they do. Like roman numerals, we have mayan numerals. Also, the book mentions Mayan hieroglyphics. It doesn't show us images of any, but it is cool to know multiple cultures beyond egypt also used hieroglyphics. It's also fun trying out these pronunciations wherein X is usually pronounced like an S.
I don't know enough about the maya to speak to the accuracy of the book, but I do like them. The main character starts out on his quest partially to rescue his dog. I love that. And I love how the author seems so humble in her glossary and acknowledgement notes at the back, where she freely admits her book is based on her personal understanding of the myths as she learned them in her youth, and that there's definitely different interpretations out there. That's a really humble thing to admit. I respect it.

So y'all know about those little symbols on the stages signs/entrance platforms in balan wonderworld?

The symbols there kinda resemble the ones used in the Maya numerical system, though written slightly differently.
( the mayan numerals, for those unfamiliar)
Wouldn't surprise me if they were used as reference tbh.
Could this imply wonderworld uses a base-20 counting system like the Maya system? who knows! either way, its neat!
#balan wonderworld#balanposting#I was talking with a friend about the numbers n brought this up cus they were doing a different thing with em

Redesign my main oc on roleplay server with my bestie
This is Ruby, legit, he got that name because of his red eyes. He's also a big mama boy too.
Anyways, on the old old reference, he used to have 4-5 wings. But because I don't like the design and rather keep it simpler. So!! Instead of 5 wings, He now have two with long tail. Big the biggest one will have a small split, like he have extra wings but it connected into one. The wings and feather also tells the date of the days as well!
Now, the first one is Spring!! Literally very simple color but also have the complicate patterns with spirals while the bottom wings show the clear beautiful blue sky colors.
The feather also have a Roman numeral pattern on the tip of his wings!
Seconds is Summer!
The colors is bright and less gray tone, the top has the sun patterns and even if you got small or large feathers, there are a chance that you'll see a tiny sun pattern on it as well! While the bottom wings patterns is green and pattern like vines and spirals. Just nature based!!
The number are normal, but it could be complicate to see since the number is more spirals like the vines on his wings.
Third season is Falls, had to be my first favorite out all!
Not only the color is calm and rustic, but the patterns is nice and pretty like falcon styles feathers as well. There are lots of stripes and dots, but the bottom is a little bright like the leaves that still on the trees will slowly falls to the ground as well. His feathers still pretty tho, and love that his tail have lots of heart patterns too.
The number is on the wings, rather on the feathers. It Mayan numeral. One stripe is basically 5 days passed and the dots under is the date so the two stripes with 3 dots, mean 13 days
Andddd my second favorite! Winter!
Basically this have lots of star and night sky patterns, but also many eyes like patterns on it as well. But what make it special and my second favorite is that instead of mostly letting everybody know the dates. The bottom feather let you know or predict your future. Either saying that you will have a lucky or bad luck day, or saying you will find happiness!
I am so happy that I finally finished with this, this take so long and a while jkankdjankja

followed by a math girl 😵💫😍 i have so much respect for u + ur people (mathematicians) i still dont rly get what a negative nukmber is. teach me a fun math fact pleeeaassee (even tho we arent friends yet ur bio made me so curious)
ooh hehe 1. i should probably update my intro im aconite and im more of a cat than a person or girl nowadays tho still in the area of girl
2. no one ever takes me up on that hehe :3
soooo if that's ur level im gonna assume ur joking but also my first idea for a "relatively low level" thing was induction versus strong induction, which is a Fundamentals of Proofs sorta topic which is! easy enough but functions in a context u likely have no experience in!
so instead im gonna pull up some dates for understanding of 0 and the creation of negatives and such!
first of all tho the fun thing to remember is:
the greeks? those bitches never even dreamt of 0. Pythagoras, Plato with his solids and his platonic ideals? they couldn't even tolerate the barest idea that we could numerically represent an absence, a null, with such a clever and useful tool as 0.
the romans aren't even worth mentioning. i could do an aside about the greeks and irrational numbers but i think u might be starting to realize how rambly i am already ^-^
there are ancient uses of symbols to represent similar ideas to 0, but the oldest proper 0, naught, that we have record of is from the Mayans and probably Olmecs as well, and apparently we have records dated to ~36 bce of that! babylonians had a *placeholder 0,* which the greeks adopted, but that was really just for writing out long numbers, like 101, where it simply represents an absence in the enumeration of digits, nyea? the greeks and romans did start to use their placeholder 0 in astronomical calculations and such but nor in formal mathematics so much, still as the additive identity (the extremely convenient property of not changing a value when added to it) but not so much for its other useful properties (everything going to it when multiplied by it, for instance).
china also had a placeholder 0 for a long while
but where we started seeing 0 used as an actual, proper number that we can do math on is in india, then it travelled via islamic scholarship around. apparently the word root for algorithm is from the persian scholar Muhammad ibn Musa Al-Khwarizmi, whose multiplication tables in the 800s ce came to be known in the european powers in the 1100s under the latin title "algorithmi de numero Indorum." so 0 took a long time to spread but really did revolutionize math everywhere it was used.
it's weird and difficult to explain just how much of modern mathematics rests entirely on the concept of 0 as an identity, but it really does!
anyways negatives are an abstraction and they were made to represent subtracting an amount, they're very useful numbers in their own right as a result but that's literally the whole idea. -1 is what you would need to add to 1 to achieve the goal of subtracting and reaching 0, since subtraction was very much invented before negatives :3
one of my favorite numerical bases is base -2, as in u count the digits as 1, -2, 4, -8, 16, -32 etc. very cutesy, forms a legitimate and intensely annoying counting system, practically useless as such but can be helpful to think about

My first Blood Bowl team - the Dallas Coldbloods!
Never tried my hand at Blood Bowl before, but I always liked the concept, and it's nice to paint something a bit more whimsical than the usual Warhammer blood and skulls.
Miniatures were a lot of fun, and the little skinks in particular are delightful! And it was a real rush of nostalgia to paint bases bright green again - why did we always do that in the 90s, regardless of the game or model?
As a final little touch, instead of using the number decals that came with the kit, I went with using Mayan numerals on the shoulder pads to match the Mesoamerican aesthetic of Warhammer's Lizardmen.

I could lament the lack of variety in skin tone, doubt some of the character designs, and wonder about the likely number of nearly stereotyped characteristics. It is what it is. I would still describe Natlan having Yoruban, Nahuatl (with Latin American aspects) as influenced. Along with Mayan mythology, it varies. Similarly, I would still describe Sumeru as having Mesopotamian, Egyptian, and South Asian elements. That's why I frown at other players who are upset about those two areas. The fact that those two fictitious countries, which draw inspiration from non-Western and non-East Asian elements, are somewhat inundated with grievances similar to those that are observed in real life about minorities (it's not comparable, but you get the gist). In all honesty, it's hilarious. As a player, I was also let down by Natlan's execution of the plot. I've heard rumours that Natlan was rewritten because Iansan, one of the characters who was introduced in the Teyvat Chapter Storyline, was oddly marginalised compared to the other characters that have since been presented. I'm still wordless about that, so it's a valid issue. Even then, like I mentioned before, I have a problem with those two nations' characters that have skin that is either as white as asbestos, as "brown" as a paper bag, or perhaps ashy grey overall. They are so close to having the opportunity to change their ways and avoid making the same mistakes they did in their previous games (see character: Carole Pepper and her mother). But they haven't moved past it yet. Hoyoverse is still a gacha company. However, the point stands. I've had enough of it. I've seen so much "Fontaine >> Natlan" lately that it makes me laugh since you're a big fan of a country with European influences, and the same country was cruel to Melusines 500 years ago—not even the human vs. yokai conflict in Inazuma is that horrible, or Liyue's adepti-human conflict. Even though they are no longer Oceanids, Fontainians continue to use drugs, hurting everyone and committing numerous crimes. Yes, you can still have fun in your second country with white people without completely losing your mind.
This was sparked by a post that said categorically that "Natlan is parasitising Fontaine" during the 5.6 event, even though Fontaine was the main focus of the Liyue event to the extent that Liyuean characters were not visible. Like, if you're going to act French all along, Fontaine should never have been released. Sumeru fans are those I'd rather be with.

Biography:
As the oldest, Sam always felt like there was a lot of responsibility on his shoulders. His dad always instilled in him that hard work was the only way to get through in life and tried on many occasions to help Sam develop some good handy life and craft skills but decided against it after risking injury one too many times. It became clear this wasn’t Sam’s strongest skill and to save his fingers his father decided it was for the best. Sam’s head was always in the clouds, he was a big daydreamer. His dad then tried to get him to focus on his schooling which was definitely not a skill due to his dyslexia. One skill he was able to pick up was his love for guitar and celebrity impressions. It came so much quicker to Sam than a saw or writing ever did. Sam loved to sing and dance and found he could make a large amount of sounds just from his mouth. He just loved it and he was told he wasn’t half bad looking either.
In high school Sam met his sweetheart Penny. Sam found someone who just seemed to get him and keep his feet on the ground. They married young which may or may not have had anything to do with the up and coming Mayan apocalypse (not that he told Penny that) but Sam was very glad he found love before life came to an end. When it turned out that the world hadn’t ended Sam believed life would have been easy from then. He was married, could start his family life and settle down. No one told him that maybe life isn’t that straightforward.
It turned out life after high school and as a husband came with a lot of responsibility and while his wife seemed to have an idea for her life Sam was pretty clueless what to do. Life became really difficult financially. Sam tried numerous things to support his family. From using his looks modelling which he began to get some success from however he found the lifestyle hard and decided it wasn’t the path for him. One day getting coffee someone mistook him for Justin Bieber and he was filled with a brilliant idea. Hence the creation of his one man show The Justin Bieber experience. Sam would get hired for birthdays and events as a Justin Bieber impersonator and he was pretty good at it.
When Penny expressed her desire to finish nursing school Sam wanted to support her in fulfilling her dreams. So he started to expand his repertoire of acts and developed his voice acting skills along the way. It was during an awkward booking at a bachelorette party where he was performing as Justin that Sam was approached about taking his performance into the male stripping world. The tips alone were incredible and White Chocolate was born. With Penny’s blessing Sam put his effort into the profession and it gave them the stability while she studied.
Sam always wanted a family. So as they were getting older his desire to start was growing. He felt his time as White Chocolate was limited and Sam didn’t feel like he wanted to have that profession when he became a father. So he hung up his gold hot pants. That’s where his voice acting became his focus. He still does celebrity impersonations on the side but started voice acting and volunteering at the local hospital radio. He may not be academically gifted but with NYADA’s The Channing Tatum former male stripper grant, Sam was able to attend college and took up a voice acting course to hone his skills. While they haven’t been able to start a family Sam has adopted a dog called McConaughy who really is his fur baby and waits for the day they will be ready to start. He’s ready supportive of his wife activism and enjoys giving back and supporting those less fortunate than himself.
Sam struggles when bad things happen in his life. He has created an alter ego Evan who he often reverts to when needed. Evan is an Elvis Presley impersonator and Sam often refers to him as his smarter twin brother.

Ruins of Tulum, state of Quintana Roo, Mexico
Tulum is the site of a pre-Columbian Mayan walled city which served as a major port for Coba, in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo. The ruins are situated on 12-meter (39 ft) tall cliffs along the east coast of the Yucatán Peninsula on the Caribbean Sea in the state of Quintana Roo, Mexico. Tulum was one of the last cities built and inhabited by the Maya; it was at its height between the 13th and 15th centuries and managed to survive about 70 years after the Spanish began occupying Mexico. Old World diseases brought by the Spanish settlers appear to have resulted in very high fatalities, disrupting the society and eventually causing the city to be abandoned. One of the best-preserved coastal Maya sites, Tulum is today a popular site for tourists.
The site might have been called Zama, meaning City of Dawn, because it faces the sunrise. Tulum stands on a bluff facing east toward the Caribbean Sea. Tulúm is also the Yucatán Mayan word for fence, wall or trench. The walls surrounding the site allowed the Tulum fort to be defended against invasions. Tulum had access to both land and sea trade routes, making it an important trade hub, especially for obsidian. From numerous depictions in murals and other works around the site, Tulum appears to have been an important site for the worship of the Diving or Descending god.
Tulum was first mentioned by Juan Díaz, a member of Juan de Grijalva's Spanish expedition of 1518, the first Europeans to spot Tulum. The first detailed description of the ruins was published by John Lloyd Stephens and Frederick Catherwood in 1843 in the book Incidents of Travel in Yucatan. As they arrived from the sea, Stephens and Catherwood first saw a tall building that impressed them greatly, most likely the great Castillo of the site. They made accurate maps of the site's walls, and Catherwood made sketches of the Castillo and several other buildings. Stephens and Catherwood also reported an early classic stele at the site, with an inscribed date of AD 564 (now in the British Museum's collection). This has been interpreted as meaning that the stele was likely built elsewhere and brought to Tulum to be reused.
Work conducted at Tulum continued with that of Sylvanus Morley and George P. Howe, beginning in 1913. They worked to restore and open the public beaches. The work was continued by the Carnegie Institution from 1916 to 1922, Samuel Lothrop in 1924 who also mapped the site, Miguel Ángel Fernández in the late 1930s and early 1940s, William Sanders in 1956, and then later in the 1970s by Arthur G. Miller. Through these later investigations done by Sanders and Miller, it has been determined that Tulum was occupied during the late Postclassic period around AD 1200. The site continued to be occupied until contact with the Spanish was made in the early 16th century. By the end of the 16th century, the site was abandoned completely.
Tulum has architecture typical of Maya sites on the east coast of the Yucatán Peninsula. This architecture is recognized by a step running around the base of the building which sits on a low substructure. Doorways of this type are usually narrow with columns used as support if the building is big enough. As the walls flare out there are usually two sets of molding near the top. The room usually contains one or two small windows with an altar at the back wall, roofed by either a beam-and-rubble ceiling or being vaulted. This type of architecture resembles what can be found in the nearby Chichen Itza, just on a much smaller scale.
Tulum was protected on one side by steep sea cliffs and on the landward side by a wall that averaged about 3–5 meters (9.8–16.4 ft) in height. The wall also was about 8 m (26 ft) thick and 400 m (1,300 ft) long on the side parallel to the sea. The part of the wall that ran the width of the site was slightly shorter and only about 170 meters (560 ft) on both sides. Constructing this massive wall would have taken an enormous amount of energy and time, which shows how important defense was to the Maya when they chose this site. On the southwest and northwest corners there are small structures that have been identified as watch towers, showing again how well defended the city was. There are five narrow gateways in the wall with two each on the north and south sides and one on the west. Near the northern side of the wall a small cenote provided the city with fresh water. It is this impressive wall that makes Tulum one of the most well-known fortified sites of the Maya.
There are three major structures of interest at the Tulum archaeological site. El Castillo, the Temple of the Frescoes, and the Temple of the Descending God.
Among the more spectacular buildings here is the Temple of the Frescoes that included a lower gallery and a smaller second story gallery. The Temple of the Frescoes was used as an observatory for tracking the movements of the sun. Niched figurines of the Maya “diving god” or Venus deity decorate the facade of the temple. This “diving god” is also depicted in the Temple of the Diving God in the central precinct of the site. Above the entrance in the western wall a stucco figure of the “diving god” is still preserved, giving the temple its name. A mural can still be seen on the eastern wall that resembles that of a style that originated in highland Mexico, called the Mixteca-Puebla style, though visitors are no longer permitted to enter.
The Temple of the Descending God consists of a single room with a door to the west and a narrow staircase that was built on top of another temple that served as its base.
In the niche located at the top of the door stands a sculpture that’s found throughout Tulum. He has wings, a headdress and holds an object in his hands.
Also in the central precinct is the Castillo, which is 7.5 m (25 ft) tall. The Castillo was built on a previous building that was colonnaded and had a beam and mortar roof. The lintels in the upper rooms have serpent motifs carved into them. The construction of the Castillo appears to have taken place in stages. A small shrine appears to have been used as a beacon for incoming canoes. This shrine marks a break in the barrier reef that is opposite the site. Here there is a cove and landing beach in a break in the sea cliffs that would have been perfect for trading canoes coming in. This characteristic of the site may be one of the reasons the Maya founded the city of Tulum exactly here, as Tulum later became a prominent trading port during the late Postclassic.

The Mayan Crystal Skulls
Frank Dorland, entrusted to Anna with the skull in the late 1960s, reported numerous odd experiences while in its presence. These experiences included seeing images of ancient temples in the skull's eyes, Lubaantun at the height of the Mayan civilization, and hearing metallic bells, singing, whispered voices, and the sound of icy mountain streams.
He would see images of ancient temples in the skull's eyes, Lubaantun at the height of the Mayan civilization. He could hear metallic bells, singing, whispered voices, and icy mountain streams alongside the visions.
Dorland did not think the visions were paranormal phenomena but a natural synchronicity between the crystal and the human brain — "the mass of crystal in some way triggered certain reflexes in the brain, to make you think that you were tasting things, hearing things or seeing things." These experiences, as described by Dorland, offer a fascinating glimpse into the potential interactions between humans and crystal skulls

Unit 7 Blog Post
Nature has consistently served as my sanctuary, where I discover clarity and a sense of connection. As I stroll through the arboretum or take a moment to relax by a river, I become aware of the music that nature provides—a harmonious blend of birds chirping, leaves rustling, and water flowing. This week's focus on music as a means of interpreting nature led me to reflect more profoundly on the impact of sound on my perception of the environment. The connection between nature and music transcends cultural boundaries and inspires efforts in conservation.
When we consider music, we often picture instruments, melodies, and lyrics; however, nature has been creating music long before the existence of humans. In Guatemala, where I grew up, traditional Mayan music often weaves in natural sounds, showcasing a deep bond with the earth. This cultural tradition highlights how music has consistently acted as a connection between humanity and the natural world. An outstanding example from the course is Ben Mirin, a "wildlife DJ" who integrates bird calls into his music. His work resonated with me as it merges contemporary music with the essence of nature, showcasing the inspiration we can draw from the sounds of the natural world. It brought to mind my solitary journeys, during which I would take a moment to truly hear the world around me—an experience I had never linked to my passion for music.
Music is woven into the fabric of nature rather than the reverse. Numerous songs draw inspiration from the beauty of landscapes, the changing seasons, and the presence of wildlife. For instance, Vivaldi's Four Seasons and Beethoven's Pastoral Symphony emulate natural sounds, drawing listeners nearer to the essence of nature. The song I Need You from Divergent takes me back to a serene natural setting. The melody accompanied a voyage through winding mountain paths, dense woodlands, and vast horizons. The song's captivating melody resonated like a whisper from the woods, and the lyrics conveyed a deep yearning to reunite with the natural world. Music served as a means to weave the environment into the song, creating a moment of unity.
This week's course material highlighted that successful nature interpretation should evoke emotions and inspire action. Music accomplishes this perfectly—it awakens the spirit and encourages individuals to engage with nature in a new light. As interpreters, we aim to find a harmonious blend of entertainment and education, providing meaningful and enjoyable experiences. Music has the potential to enhance awareness of environmental issues.
One of the challenges I am addressing is the precise representation of diverse perspectives. As I advance in this role, I aspire to include a broader range of narratives, especially those from Indigenous and marginalized communities. Their viewpoints are essential for grasping the natural world.
A photo I took in Guatemala

Contemplating the connection between music and nature has led me to understand how we can inspire others to take an interest in environmental care. Practical nature interpretation goes beyond merely sharing information; it involves forging emotional connections that truly resonate. Music is a powerful medium, enabling individuals to connect with nature more personally and more frequently. As I progress, I aspire to blend the beauty of natural sounds with human creativity to craft narratives that inspire action and foster appreciation. By incorporating diverse perspectives and accepting various forms of knowledge, I aim to cultivate a richer, more inclusive comprehension of the environment, fostering stewardship and a lasting connection with the natural world.

She believes in brute force and coercion to get her way. She also is a heavy drinker and is unapologetic about it. She is humorous and witty, and she can be quite a talker when she is not mad. She can be quite sadistic and merciless to opponents that get in her way. She also can be a flirt and tends to tease people who take her interest. Despite her rough nature, she has a hidden soft side when she realizes she has siblings. She begins showing how much her earlier life has affected her and how much she tries to hide under her tough girl act. She often has a tendency of teasing them both by calling Coyote "little brother" (even though he dwarfs her) and Kitsune "little sister" (while pinching her cheeks). However, she does show her care for them is genuine and grows to be close to them both out of the siblings she found. She grows to have a protective streak over them even if they are capable of handling themselves. However, she does find care in all the siblings she's found and will be willing to get along with them due to their shared blood. She also hates Smiledon and swears him as an enemy for trying to kill her and all her fellow siblings due to them being children of his brother, while also pretending at first he was a caring uncle type to them. She has a skeptical side of people's motives due to her cynical nature and can feel if something is off about them. She also in many ways resent her father for leaving her mother pregnant and as a result having to deal with an abusive stepfather, who she still loathes to this day. She also takes pride in her status as a tattoo artist and considers it work of art. She often will show off her work and present it to others. She often likes advertising side job as an art to villains and for family even gives discounts.
Background: She is the daughter of Salvaje and a Yuctan Mayan woman, Nare Canul, born in the 1940’s. Her mother had a brief fling with Salvaje and then left her. Her mother then married her stepfather, Junjaw, who was abusive to both and in a rage killed her mother at twenty years old when he felt she wasn’t respecting him. A while after her mother’s death, she found tattoo ink that was blessed by the Mayan god of tattoos, Acat, she then tried them on and gained the powers of tattoos and stopped aging. To take vengeance on her mother’ death, she killed her stepfather. She then became a villain while also doing tattoo work on the side. She eventually became a Black Hat Organization member.
* She wears skimpy clothing so it's easier for her tattoos to come out.
* She has worked with Bloodhound but it was a teamwork of convenience and they both buttheads. She's worked with people like Humiko and gets along with them a bit better.
* Due to still looking her 20's, she's sometimes mistaken for Coyote's younger sister.
* She's inspired by Acat from Maya and the Three and Revy from Black Lagoon.
* She's worked for many big name bosses like King Cassino and Miss Valdoom.
* She knows Spanish, English, and Yucatec Maya.
* Even though Kitsune is a hero, she doesn't care and just treats her sister like.
* Even if they are heroes, she will protect them if they have connections with her siblings Green Rod being her little brother's girlfriend and her sister's friend.

the second chapter of the phantom blot x lily story, warning for NSFW(yes..i'm already getting into it lmaoo)
chapter 1
The next day, Mickey and Minnie invited Lily over to Mickey’s place, to talk and eat together. Mickey had asked her if she liked hot dogs, and when she told him she did, he went on about making a bunch, causing her to giggle. She was glad that her new friends made her feel happy and comfortable. Her doubts and worries still crept up on her, but she hoped they weren't true and that she could indeed trust them.
Lily arrived, and Mickey immediately greeted her.
“Hey Lily!” Mickey exclaimed, a hot dog in one of his hands. His face already had ketchup dripping from his mouth.
“Oh Mickey, you need to clean yourself up!” Minnie gently scolded and wiped the ketchup off, making him blush in embarrassment.
“Sorry Min..”
Minnie turned her attention to Lily, “Anyways, it's great to see you Lily! Lucky for you, Mickey didn't eat all the hot dogs already, I made sure of that.”
Lily giggled, trying to ignore her jealousy at their relationship, “Thank you.”
A yellow dog came barreling in the room and ran over to Lily, staring to lick her face. She laughed, “Is this Pluto?”
Mickey laughed, “It sure is! He loves meeting new people.”
Lily smiled and pet him, at least she didn't have to deal with her anxieties about others when it came to animals.
She took a few hot dogs and a bottle of soda, and sat down with Mickey and Minnie in the living room, while Pluto curled up on his bed, “I bought some paints from the ink and paint store yesterday, I was thinking of how I want to customize my house. Like..I've been picturing a cute pink and white kitchen, decorated with flowers, how does that sound?”
“It sounds adorable! If you want help, I'd love to customize it with you,” Minnie told her.
“Me too,” Mickey agreed, “We're friends, we help one another after all.”
Lily smiled at the reminder of their friendship, she had doubted they'd like her idea and was relieved they did and wanted to help her, “Ortensia also offered to help work on a garden outside with me.”
“She did? That's great! You'll have a beautiful house in no time Lily,” Minnie replied.
“Do you think you'll ask Horace for help too?” Mickey asked, “In addition to his mechanical work, he can help with more complicated renovations, like tearing down a wall.”
“I think I will..I might need it..”
He smiled and thought for a moment, “You know, I don't just do detective work, I've traveled the world to explore ancient ruins, mysteries, all that stuff. I have an archeologist friend named Eurasia Toft who invites Goofy and I with her sometimes. I've been to Mayan ruins, looked into the mystery of the Colossus of Rhodes and more!”
Lily's eyes widened, “That sounds..amazing..I'd love to know about your adventures.”
Mickey took a bite of one of his hot dogs and his mind wandered, “Of course! But first..I think I should inform you about the villains of Mouseton too. My main enemy is Pete, he leads the criminal underworld here alongside his wife Trudy. He's a brute who does whatever he wants. There's Sylvester Shyster, a corrupt lawyer. If you ever need any legal help, don't go to him.”
He paused, and took a deep breath at the last one, “But the worst is the Phantom Blot, he's not called the King of Evil for nothing, and I haven't heard of him doing anything in a while. I bet he's planning something..but I don't know what..”
His fur and tail tensed up, Mickey clearly had been on edge from just thinking about the Phantom Blot. Minnie placed a hand on his shoulder and rubbed it gently, trying to ease his nerves. Mickey relaxed a bit and took another deep breath.
Lily became nervous, “What kind of things has he done?”
“He's brainwashed me to be a criminal, he's swapped places with me, making people think I was him and using me to escape from prison, he's used a flower to give everyone in Mouseton amnesia, he's tried to take over the world numerous times..”
The memories of everything Phantom Blot had done hurt, his face tensed up from it before he forced himself to relax again, but Lily had to know what he was capable of, “He's put me in death traps and..he's just a very manipulative person in general and a genius. Being friends with me puts you in his line of sight, but don't worry, I won't let him harm you,” Mickey assured her.
“Me neither,” Minnie agreed and placed a hand on Lily's, relaxing her like what she did with Mickey.
“Thank you…I..appreciate it,” Lily replied. Phantom Blot sounded terrifying, but if her friends were really her friends, she would be fine, adding on to why she hoped they were genuine.
With the tense air, she decided to change the subject, “When I was at the ink and paint store I..I met someone.”
“You did?” Minnie immediately seemed interested.
“He was dressed in all black, so I guess he's probably goth? He also wore a black mask that covered most of his face with a white smile on it. I didn't get his name so he's just registered as ‘Nice Goth Guy’ on my phone. He was very flirty too..it was kind of embarrassing..” Lily blushed.
A mysterious guy dressed in all black and wearing a mask with a white smile? It sounded suspicious to Mickey, he wondered if it was the Phantom Blot, but didn't say anything.
“You definitely have to talk to him again, and pester him for his name too!” Minnie advised, "He can't just not give you his name.”
“You're right, I..definitely want to know more about him..whoever he is..”
—------
Phantom Blot was back in that same dark room, which was a science lab in his mansion. There were beakers and flasks full of mysterious liquids, tubes stretching around, and various inventions littered the place.
He used a dropper to place the ink he had bought into the ink-like substance. With that, Blot tested the substance on his arm again. This time, every part of his hand but his thumb transformed, the fingers fusing together into a hammer. He smirked wickedly, he was almost there, so close to perfection. With just a few more touch ups, the ink-like substance would be perfect and ready for use. Once it was perfected, he wanted to test it out, his mind wandering to a grand heist at the local art gallery.
Blot then remembered the cute blonde he met at the ink and paint store, Lily. He had to admit, he wanted to see her again. Luckily, he had saved her phone number and decided to use that to his advantage. Phantom Blot decided to get her to meet up with him at the art gallery, where she would see he was actually the Phantom Blot the whole time. It was too perfect.
Once he finished messing with the ink-like substance for the day, he placed it in a container and exited the lab, making his way over to the living room. It was there he saw his housekeeper Mrs. Fragmuffin sweeping the floor, and nearby was Phantom Brat, sitting on one of the couches, watching a princess movie while brushing the hair of one of her dolls. He smiled as he walked up to her, until he noticed the movie was now on a scene showing the princess and her mother, which made Brat frown. Phantom Blot was reminded of her desire for a mother, how upset it made her that she didn't have one of her own. She wasn't aware her biological mother hated her and flat out abandoned her, and he didn't want her to know, she was too young for that.
Deciding to cheer her up, he moved around to sneak up behind her and grabbed her, “Got you!”
Phantom Brat giggled and lightly bit his arm, “I got you too Daddy!”
He chuckled and went to sit next to her on the couch. She showed him the doll she had been brushing, “I had to brush her hair, it was all messy!”
“You did a good job, it looks much better now,” He replied as he observed the doll.
Phantom Brat grinned from the praise and hugged her doll close, making Blot smile.
“By the way, I have to go on a business trip soon, but don't worry, I shouldn't be gone for too long,” He hated having to lie to her, but Brat couldn't know he was a villain, he wanted to keep her as far away from that part of his life as possible. At the back of his mind, Phantom Blot also worried Brat would hate him if she knew the truth, and he didn't want that.
She frowned, put her doll down and hugged him, “I hate it when you go! I always miss you so much!”
Phantom Blot hugged her back, “I miss you too, my little princess, but I have to go. And you know Mrs. Fragmuffin will be there caring for you while I'm gone like she always does.”
“I know! But it's not the same without you..” Phantom Brat snuggled up against his chest sadly.
He kissed the top of her head and gently rubbed her back. It hurt seeing her like this, but he knew it was for the best. If the other villains and criminals as a whole knew he had a daughter, some of them may try to harm her, using her against him for their own personal gain. And he wouldn't allow that. Phantom Blot wanted Phantom Brat to have a normal childhood(she was rich but that was the most abnormal thing about her life and he wanted to keep it that way). Seeing her being a typical happy little girl who loved princesses, mermaids, fairies, dolls, plushies and fairy tales made him happy too.
She deserved to have a good upbringing, filled with love and warmth, and whatever her little heart desired. Phantom Blot himself didn't have the best life growing up, to the point where he never allowed his parents to meet Phantom Brat, and he wanted to ensure things were better for her. She was the most important part of his life, after all.
“I'm not going right away, don't worry daughter. And like I said, when I do go, I likely won't be gone for long anyways. After you finish watching the movie, why don't we play with your dolls together?” He suggested.
Brat perked up at that, “Okay!”
She continued to stay close to him, snuggling up against him as he stayed to watch the princess movie with her, both content, but plagued with worry at the back of their minds.
—-------
Lily had ended up excitedly listening to Mickey's tales of his adventures. He lived such an interesting life, and she couldn't help but want to join him on adventures too. Her life had been relatively simple, and the idea of getting to travel the world, solving mysteries, helping people and exploring remains of ancient civilizations was fascinating to her. It was all like something out of a story, and she wondered where her friendship with Mickey would lead.
In the meantime, she had visited Horace’s mechanics shop, asking him to help her with her house. Lily decided on making the entrance a little more wide, and wanted a sunroom. Horace was more than happy to help, and headed to her house with her, accompanied by Clarabelle. He stepped inside, leaving Lily outside with her.
“Lily! You have to hear about the latest gossip!”
Without Lily even agreeing, Clarabelle just started talking her head off. She didn't mind however, just letting Clarabelle talk and listening to the latest goings on in the city.
She shyly decided to speak up too once Clarabelle finished her ramblings, “I have something too..I met this goth guy at the ink and paint store yesterday and got his number.”
Clarabelle's eyes widened, “You did? He must like you to give you his number already, is he cute?”
Lily blushed, “I..don't have a good idea of what he looks like, he wore a mask covering most of his face. He never gave me his name either.”
“Ooo the dark and mysterious type I see. I bet he's definitely a looker under that mask.”
Lily's blush deepened, “You know, he was flirting with me too..”
Clarabelle got a big grin on her face from that, “Oh he definitely likes you. How lucky are you? You've got a mysterious flirty goth guy into you, sounds like he might be the hot bad boy type.”
Lily covered her face with her hands in her shyness, making Clarabelle laugh, “You have nothing to be shy about! You're beautiful, just look at you! And you're very sweet and kind, any man would consider themselves lucky to be with you.”
That just made Lily feel even more shy, “I..um..I have an ex boyfriend. He wasn't all that..good to me. He told me that no one would ever love me like he does. I hope it isn't true but sometimes I worry it is.”
Clarabelle frowned, not expecting that kind of response, it told her all she needed to know about Lily's ex, “Well he was an idiot anyways for mistreating you like that. I think you could easily get a man to love you, one that will love you better than your ex.”
Lily smiled at that, feeling better from her words, “Thank you..”
“It's no problem,” She replied as she placed a hand on her shoulder, “Now come on, let's see how Horace is doing.”
—-------
Once Horace finished his renovations for the day, he and Clarabelle left, saying their goodbyes. Lily walked around her house, it was clearly in a “work in progress” state, but she didn't mind. The walls near the front door had been torn down, and walking over to where the sunroom was going to be, there were windows laying around, waiting to be installed.
She appreciated Horace's kindness in doing this for her, she was more than happy to pay him for his efforts once everything was finished. When his renovations were done, Lily settled on doing the rest of her planned customization work with her friends.
Until then, she decided to take some time for herself. Lily sat on her couch, pulled out the remote and put on Pawflix. She scrolled through the movies and settled on one, selecting it and then wrapping herself up in a blanket.
As the movie went on, Lily took notice of the romance subplot in the movie, which made her feel depressed. Was Cody right? Was no one going to love her like he did? Could another man fall in love with her? Would another relationship even work? Or would she mess things up like she always did?
Tears began to well in her eyes, when she heard her phone ‘ding’. Lily picked it up, and smiled weakly when she saw she got a text from “Nice Goth Guy”. She looked at her message app and read it.
I wanna meet up in a few days.
The text excited Lily as she wiped her tears away and typed a response.
Of course!
She shyly typed out another response.
I miss you
Lily held her breath as she saw the dots indicating that he was typing in a reply, which he soon sent.
I miss you too
Her heart thumped in her chest at his reply, he actually missed her. She was worried he wouldn't, and couldn't help but blush knowing he did and wanted to see her again. Lily felt nervous at how their meetup would go however. She decided to move to a more casual conversation to deal with her nerves.
I'm watching a movie right now, what are you doing?
Soon, he sent his response.
I'm working on something, when we meet up, I want to show it to you.
Lily couldn't help but be excited, wondering what he was working on. Was it a piece of art? She did know they shared an interest in art after all.
I can't wait
She then remembered Minnie's advice, and decided to follow it.
What's your name?
Curiosity filled her as she waited, then read his reply when he sent it.
Wait until we meet up, you'll know then.
Lily wasn't sure why he was being so cryptic about his name, it was suspicious and weird but she didn't want to upset him by pestering him further so just went along with it.
She continued to talk to him as the movie went on, her face red and her tail wagging. Lily enjoyed chatting with him, he was kind to her and ended up being flirty again. Eventually, he told her he had some “business to attend to”, but that he loved talking with her again.
He was very mysterious, Lily knew something was up. But she decided to wait for their meetup to figure out what his deal was, hoping everything would go well.
The movie ended, and Lily decided to make her way upstairs to have a bath, figuring it would help give her time to think of everything going on and relax.
She turned on the water and stripped out of her clothes. Before heading into the water, Lily looked at herself in the mirror.
Her body was the kind men would drool over, with her large, luscious breasts, wide hips and narrow waist. Lily traced her fingers over her curves, thinking about her appearance. Despite her voluptuous body, Lily couldn't help but feel insecure about it. Cody didn't go after her appearance much, he more so would tell her that her looks were the best part about her. But even so, his gaze still wandered to other women. She felt there had to be something wrong with the way she looked, and that's why she couldn't keep his attention.
Turning her gaze back to the tub, Lily noticed the water had filled up just enough, so turned it off and laid down inside.
Thinking back to her goth friend, she remembered him calling her beautiful. Just thinking of his comments made her blush again. A thought crossed her mind of what he would think of seeing her like this, and her face went redder from it. Would he like her body? Or would he find whatever flaw in it Cody saw and not be interested in her?
She hoped he would like how her body looked, Lily closed her eyes and imagined him seeing her naked and being his usual flirty self with her. Her mind wandered to him whispering sweet nothings in her ear with that sultry voice of his, as his fingers inched down to her pussy when she opened her eyes, feeling flustered for thinking about that. Her body was becoming heated, and in need of release. She obliged, and spread her legs open, tracing a finger down to her pussy and beginning to gently run her fingers across it.
“Mmm..” Lily let out a soft moan. She realized she needed this, feeling the stress and tension that had built up withering away. It would be better if she had a man with her, but until then, her fingers would have to do.
At the very least, she went back to fantasizing about her mysterious goth friend, imagining that she was being pleasured by his fingers instead of her own. She really wished she had a name she could cry out..
She inserted one of her fingers inside her pussy, causing her to lean her head back and loudly moan, “Ahh yes!”
A hand moved to gently caress one of her breasts, adding to her pleasure. She felt like a mess and started to wonder if she'd been pent up, it had been too long since she'd been touched after all.
Lily inserted a few more fingers inside herself, more moans released from her mouth and her hips bucked. She felt closer and closer to release until her body couldn't take it anymore, and she came.
“Ohh! Oh yes! Yes!” She cried out, her legs and hips moved wildly as she came into the water.
Once she finished, Lily moved her hands down and panted, being out of breath. After regaining her breath, she smiled in content. She had definitely needed that, now, she simply wanted to enjoy the water. Lily closed her eyes, enjoying the feeling of the water on her soft fur and droplets of water dripping down her breasts, over her nipples.
After finishing her bath, Lily brushed her hair, put on her pajamas and headed to bed.
She tried to fall asleep, but her mind kept wandering to Cody. Lily felt stressed again as she tossed and turned on her bed, she felt like crying, hating when he would interrupt her as she tried to sleep. She clutched her pillow, digging into it with her claws and holding it close to her head.
It took a while, but she eventually got some sleep, and she wasn't greeted with any dreams when she did. Lily awoke in the morning feeling like a mess, just when she was able to make herself feel good again, it all came crashing down. The high from the pleasure she felt was gone, and her hair was already a mess.
As she tiredly left her bed and headed downstairs to make breakfast, Lily hoped that her fortunes would change for the better.
