🪞: Does your OC have a mirror counterpart? If so, what is their mirror counterpart like?

Yes :) Mirror Meteor is a sickly creature, a cornered dog who was taught to be helpless, he's currently a bit incomplete, a bit scared, and very alone.

👊: What would a boss fight against your OC look like? What attacks would they use and why would they be fighting Kirby?

Accounts from witnesses of fights Sir Meteor has been in suggest that his battles are often in the sky, space, and the stars--citizens of the planet Earth, the planet he had defended suggested this was because he didnt want to shatter the planet, but no evidence has been presented to weather this is within ability. One has to expect a high power fight filled with long range and close quarter answers. Lists of his abilities include but are not limited to: control of fire, explosions, and meteors. He is able to discorporate his body and take form of a meteor, but most interestingly he is the first recorded summoner of heart spears.

Rumors of his more fantastical abilites include raising the dead and speaking to their bones as well as being able to grant wishes if you wish on a him when he passes by as falling star--but these surely hold no substance, so worry not about undead armies if you ever did fight him--he certainly can loose.

💖: Has your OC met Kirby? If they have, what is their relationship with him like?

Sir Meteor was a controversial member of the GSA, and his departure was not a happy one. He has a wanted poster put out under the GSA's emblem, and Meta Knight is aware of this, and by extension Kirby is too. From the start Kirby had been told Sir Meteor was an enemy, so unlike so many who did not deserve a chance in the first place, Sir Meteor had not been given a chance at friendship with Kirby... at first anyways. What actually happened at the GSA? Is this cold treatment deserved? Kirby might end up regretting this later. Meteor on the other hand is taking a while to warm up.

Not a horror movie, but SOMA is a really good game that could work for a heartbreaking Trigun AU. For an actual movie rec, Dark Water (2002) is a good one.

okay forgive me because i've seen the remake of dark water from 2005 n while i imagine there are some significant differences between iterations, i'm gonna say i get the gist of it, but.

so i realize i've never actually spoken at length about my own trigun college au over here and since the fic is in my drafts indefinitely this is WILDLY out of context but like. i never actually landed on a backstory for vash and knives, i figure that true to canon vash has a lot of holes in his memory and knives won't fill those in for him so this sort of thing wouldn't really come up in the story, and as far as vash is aware life might as well have started when rem adopted them

Uncle Coor: Oh, her? My opinion on her has really turned around during all this! I think she has proven herself to be very intelligent in her research, and dedicated to furthering our studies, and bring Collectors new and exciting knowledge. Not bad for someone who was raised wrong by her useless parent. I thought she was just going to be a Brown Dwarf forever.

The Cartographer: WHAT DID YOU JUST-

The Charmer: Oh, that's so funny coming from a Red Dwarf like you! The evaluation is over right? So maybe it's time for you to head home so you can keep on top of your work.

Uncle Coor: Excuse me? Are you really going to speak to me like that.

The Cartographer is shaking with rage, the Charmer sets a hand on their shoulder to keep them from lunging forward.

The Charmer: I think leaving would be in your best interest, actually. The Cartographer is upset, which means the Curator will be here shortly, and I don't much care for what you've said either!

Uncle Coor's face darkens, but he sings the song to let his children know they are leaving, before turning to leave himself.

listen...listen... idk man i didn't expect downfall to hit me as hard as it did. but i'm at the end of ep101 and i have cried more maybe than during any other part of this story...and what a story within a story downfall is

it's about faith, the faith the mortals have in the gods and that the gods have in mortals, the faith in their creations, in and for their love of each other. and there is something so moving and intoxicating and emotional about that depiction, of gods deciding to become mortals to achieve an end goal, but of learning how much mortals love and feel and suffer

just the love between them all, everyone depicted. the wildmother and the lawbearer... the emissary.... trist and ayden, the everlight and the dawnfather... fucking just....everyone

idk man this sort of tragic story really just gets me so so so fucking bad, it hits me in such a unique way

Perpetuity : ETERNITY : the quality or state of being perpetual

Few things could be considered to last forever, to be truly eternal — after all, who could even be able to behold what eternity is like? What something being forever the same even means?

Are the Gods eternal? Mayhaps. One would never know — who would ever live long enough to see the Gods face to face until the end of all things…?

These type of questions have never been something that plagued his mind — that were even important or something to consider, time was always running short, life itself was never assured — eternity was something for divine beings, never to be within the grasp of mortal hands.

And yet he finds himself here, surrounded by crystal walls that are as tall as the mountains — if he even remembers what a mountain looked like — he kneels one more day — night, maybe, turn of the Sun that is forever out of his reach — before a golden throne, in front of an ethereal figure whose head is adorned by a crown from which chains come from, chains that keep that self-same figure forever chained to it’s throne and gaol.

…And no one can even get closer.

Those golden chains are the last scream of a soul who never wanted to hurt anyone, who wanted to help, who yearned for far too much and still came too short…the crown is nothing but the reflection of a burden he never allowed anyone else to carry — and the crystal walls the tears of someone who failed and in his sorrow hid his most precious treasure — and condemned everything to stagnation.

Eternity is something no mortal should be able to reach — and yet he is here, failing to fulfill the last plea of a broken soul who yearns for salvation…because he is unable to think about anyone who is worth of granting such a wish to this fallen Hero.

And he has lost that right long ago.

“People are still fighting…” A voice echoes, alone, in the middle of a room where no one can hear him — maybe. “Another attempt of a ‘Hero’ came today…” A whisper, words laced with sorrow despite of how much he seemed to be proud of those peoples, of his people. “…But I can’t.” He manages to say, cursing his own inability to end this — to stop this endless cycle. “…I won’t let them…get here…”

The figure stands up, turning back and then returning in front of the ethereal Lord of this Crystal Gaol, piling bodies — barely alive, barely breathing, bleeding out — as his offering. “…You need aether again, don’t you…?” The figure upon the throne stirs barely, but the marble-like features of it never change, or even acknowledge anything beyond the offering. “Eat.”

There’s a screech — it resounds far across the lands.

And then, tears of liquid marble flow upon the ground, until they reach the offering, it’s sustenance — drowning them and then consuming them from the inside out, leaving nothing behind but a few weapons made of marble that now lay upon the floor — and the Lightwarden returns to slumber.

The only other person present grabs those, and walks out of the chamber in shame and guilt — once upon a time he had wondered why had he been granted mercy when he deserved none. Now, he doesn’t ask this — he wonders if this will forever continue, if this is what it means for something to be eternal…

Eternal suffering.

Eternal punishment.

For when Meteor was succumbing to the Light he doubted for a second too long in that room at the Pendants and then had to see how what was once the last bastion of hope became and Accursed Palace…and yet…he was spared, he was given a plea.

‘Save…them.’

He knows he is nothing but a shade inhabiting a mockery of a body — a shield itself from the obvious outcome had Meteor transformed too fast before being able to save him.

He was supposed to save them. To end Meteor’s suffering…

…How is he supposed to do that when he saw how a mighty Lightwarden was still Meteor deep down? When he saw those chains binding the very beast he was supposed to become? Keeping himself in check enough to keep casualties within the Crystarium…?

How can he be anything but the eternal guardian of another fallen Hero who gave everything for a world he didn’t had to save…and yet tried to…?

He can’t.

So they remain, like the two most sinful souls in existence they are — in perfect stagnation.

Ardbert as the blade, the guardian, the wall anyone has to overcome to prove they are worthy of bringing down the soul inside…

Meteor as the sin — as the solution and the victim.

Both of them encased in a Crystal Gaol that no longer looks like the Crystarium — just a prison without day or night, a tomb — and at the center where once life thrived and tried to stand against the end of the world…

A thousand weapons stand as a warning, for whoever that attempts to come in here, will die at the hands of the demon — the white knight who wields an axe with nothing but pain and sadness for being too coward to do anything else but play a role again.

…

Willingly.

💝 - How much effort do they put into appearances? Do they have a favorite article of clothing?

honestly not much effort! leonid is lucky to have nice lil ~au naturale~ eyeliner/eyelashes like her papi shadow. as it stands the closest thing she has to "favorite clothes" is her signature bead bracelets n she just makes those for funsies. in a world where she has access to more clothes her favorite would definitely be a sick jacket like the red one i drew her in

🌊 - Does this oc have a secret or repressed desire?

OUGH. this is not a side of her ive shown at all but like. i think her biggest secret would be the fact that she struggles w her uncertain lifespan as a cyborg. shadow and omega definitely think about this too but none of them have ever brought it up. and if she did ask they wouldnt have definitive answers LOL! like ummm due to the circumstances of your birth and the world we currently live in we have no way of determining if youre gonna live an average mobian lifespan, a slightly longer one, or if you'll live long enough to leave one if not somehow both of your dads and the rest of your family behind as you age. sorry honey! (sage probably figures it out one way or another but they are NOT asking her directly. in a few years she would probably drop it like a bomb on leonid mid-battle while no one else is around as a form of psychological torment to convice her to join the empire) (it wouldnt work but leonid would definitely get fucked up about it)

The Compelor: This looks like one of those species that are failures and freaks and cannot thrive so we refrain from collecting them. Like when intelligent mortals make two different species breed that produce sterile offspring that would have never occurred without intervention, and that would obviously fail to speciate. What kind of sick creature even is this? Its face is the texture of a barren planet, its eyes are like that of a dying star. Maybe it should be put down?

The Charmer: I don't like looking at this being either, but that seems rather harsh. Sometimes the mortals will draw and show up images of creatures they enjoy.

The Compelor: Then they definitely deserve to hear all the ways I believe this thing to be an abomination worthy of scorn. It mocks our image.
