Mimi, the Noddy - He/She/They

(character dump post)

Mimi dons a typical noddy’s cap and ditches the shoes for some fluffy slippers. The cap is pulled down to cover the eyes, giving them the impression of sleepy, half lidded eyes. On top of that, Mimi wears a pair of large, oval glasses. Despite all their efforts to appear like the average noddy, if you spend a lot of time with them, some quirks will begin to show.

Mimi does not like to smile around people he doesn’t know well. Strangely, she tends to shy away from the more popular residents of Planet Popstar (i.e. Kirby, King Dedede, Meta Knight, etc…), and steers clear of anyone in the King’s employ. They claim that it’s because commotion tends to follow these people.

They are on friendly terms with Gooey and the other Animal Friends. Mimi may not be aware of it, but his friends will say they notice that Mimi has a thinly veiled penchant for mischief. Additionally, she generally avoids any work for a myriad of reasons she has stocked up. He’s clearly screwing with you, but what can you really do about it?

Hello! Sorry it took a few days but I wasn't on my laptop a lot (except for work)

nowwww onto my favourite throuple (and thanks for specifically asking for fluff, they need so much fluff)

Canon era:

as per @thatoneandlonelyemo2005's idea the stick Bumlets has in the movie is actually a gift from Skittery (and they stick-fight in Carrying the Banner it's so cute they certainly do that a lot)

As per that they also probably kinda coreograph some fights for the kids, like they say they're two pirates fighting or a knight and a mercenary, those things

Swifty has taught himself sewing and embroidery (picked it up from some kind ladies he sold to, too) and he not only patches up clothes for everyone but will put a little embroidery on there if they want, to also keep clothes apart. This especially helps Skittery as Swifty likes putting little cats on his clothes and the texture helps Skittery calm down when he has the starts of an anxious streak and doesn't have anyone nearby

Speaking of helping Skittery when he's anxious or nervous: Swifty and Bumlets will either hold his hand or let him just take their hands to fiddle with their fingers instead of biting his nails or digging his nails into his skin

They'll do everything to save up for a little farmhouse after they aged out, be it realistic or not, Bumlets will tell Skittery again and again that they'll get it eventually and that they can just live out of the city in peace then (with Tumbler and Flipper of course)

Bumlets and Swifty rather drink tea in the morning than coffee (or in Bumlets' case only coffee with a lot of milk) so they sometimes get up or stay behind a bit longer to make it because they wouldn't get it from the nuns

More modern or miscallaneous headcanons:

Skittery loves punk music and even if his boyfriends aren't as into it they try to find other things they all like to listen to together (and Bumlets will let them dress him up for concerts because why not make them happy even if he has to sit there with earplugs because it's very loud)

In my modern Swifty and Skittery met because they played in different soccer teams and became kinda rivals and since Skittery has been (not quite voluntarily) outed Swifty always spoke against people when he heard they were talking bad about Skittery, even when they were still 'rivals' because he didn't like hearing it

Also Bumlets and Skittery met in dance classes and Bumlets obviously loves dancing (but mostly does gymnastics) and Skittery developed a crush (that he tried to ignore once he learned that Bumlets and Swifty were together)

When then in college-age Skittery and Swifty played on the same team Swifty tried to get him to at least be friends (but hopefully date) by talking to him a lot more and taking him to Bumlets' gymnastics trainings

Swifty got Bumlets his dog Bailey (after some more angsty things happened with Bumlets' parents)

Bumlets often does work around the apartment/house out of stress, be it cleaning or cooking and when they notice it happening, Skittery and Swifty will hold him on the couch by force if they have to (the force being cuddles)

Swifty gets into trying on more feminine clothes too as well as makeup and gets a lot of support

Skittery loves games like Stardew Valley or Harvest Moon, just likes having a little farm to himself and building it up from scratch in whatever new game he gets as well as just generally building things with a vague goal of just 'making the town better' and he has houses for his boyfriends in games that allow it (either that or he plays online with Jake, Mush or Pie Eater who all like different things about these games (Jake the animals, Pie Eater the interiour and outside design/building and Mush the talking to villagers))

Swifty meanwhile made them all in the Sims and of course made their children

Bumlets is more into rpg games but if he has the option to create his own party he will ask them if they want to be named as a character
