The demon-hog would groan in protest in response as Flask tried pulling him away, It wasn't even a case of him being miserable for once in a public space! Dan just knew full well that he wasn't really welcome here and it was merely the presence of Cotton and Flask themselves that did permit him.

He could just see it in those eyes of the other patrons, even if no one had actively challenged him in the matter. It was usually the case for these 'posh' types.

Turning to face Flask slightly so she didn't strain herself trying to pull at him. "Cmon now, You don't need me to tell you I'm not going to fit in anywhere else in here. You look great! why don't you mingle and enjoy yourself rather than worrying about me? I'm fine. Honest. What else am I gonna do? Dance with a stranger? Or talk about demons with people? They don't wanna know that. I'm just staying out of trouble."

A fellow scientist? And she's bringing chocolate muffins? Well, don't mind if he does! He's taken the box and given her a bright smile in return, feeling a little bad he didn't have anything to give her in return now that he thought about it. " Happy Valentine's to you too! "

"Sole! I am so sorry we haven't talked for so long! I just had to wish you Happy New Year! I hope you don't mind..." Flask smiles awkwardly, offering the journalist a wrapped box. Inside there are different types of camera lenses, suited for Sole's camera. "There is a reciept inside, in case you'd like different ones... Sorry, I am not very educated with these..."

"It's honestly, Flask... I know how things get busy and how time flies by." Sole gave a smile to the chemist before tilting her head to the side when the other gave her a wrapped box. She eyed the box for a moment before unwrapping the box and her expression turn one of surprise as she wasn't expecting to see the different type of camera lenses.

"These are honestly perfect.... I'm sure they will fit on my camera... Regardless, Happy new year and I hope the next year is great for you."

"You did and I will still prefer being stuck in the jello jail than being dismantled or whatever would happen if I did turn evil," he said grinning as he was poked in the forehead. "Good thing we aren't going to focus on anything involving babies then! If we did somehow get married or wanted kids, we can either adopt or just have a hundred Chao. It's like those weird human shows where there's that one crazy cat lady."

He finally stopped pacing, tapping his foot while trying to figure out what they should do at the moment. "Uh....ok, what are our options of what to do?"

"Hey, I totally remember apologizing for that!" The mouse pouted softly. "...But I would love to spend some quality time with you. I really did miss you while you were gone. I want to know everything! Unless there's like a secret mission I am not supposed to know about."

The albino gave it a thought. "In all honesty, I don't think I have ever met Mr. Chuck in person." She snorted poking Shard's forehead. "I mean, you don't have to know about it, as long as you aren't interested. I know much about anatomy, but I am not really interested in finding out in much details how babies are... Hm, formed and birthed. Saw it once and I would rather not witness it again." A visible shudder ran through the chemist at the memory.

[ A Sonic OC introduction - mainly IDW comic based ]

Hey fellas! I remember promising that I'd introduce Lucine and talk a bit about her!! 👀

Lucine is genuinely one of my favourite OCs so I'm very excited to do so!

(Literally did this one yesterday tee hee)

Lucine is a deer mobian! She's an (unofficial) scientist who mainly focuses on the Chemistry field in terms of science fields, creating and partaking in many funky experiments working with chemicals and substances! However, that's not all she does. She also creates her own things too! Weapons, gadgets, technology, you name it. She loves to create things to aid her in her experiments, and even goals! One of her best inventions was her "Chem-bag" as she calls it (Other than her robot but we'll get to that one in a bit).

Now, who exactly is she? Well. Lucine is an aspiring villain who has had that dream since she was a young teen. She aspires to be like the villains she hears about in the media and sees around. Power, is what she wants. As all villains do, of course. However, she does have an idol she desires to work alongside. I'll get to that in a little bit too.

♡ With her skills in agility and combat (specifically with the weapons she creates on her own), she is one of the only mobians who haven't been infected from the metal virus. She managed to survive somehow, by keeping in secluded spaces and when outside, keeping far away from any means of the 'Zom-bots' by staying on top of rooftops.

♡ Lucine had a best friend called Buttercup who she was originally friends with since she was a little fawn mobian. Buttercup stuck by her through thick and thin until their teen years in which an event occurred, and long story short, he broke Lucine's trust. Buttercup has forever been a huge supporter of Dr. Eggman, and his dream has been to work in his team. Unlike Lucine, Buttercup doesnt know much about science. If anything at all. However, his main focus is building technology, weaponry and gadgets like Lucine does. He is far more skilled in this area than Lucine is, as he has done it his whole life whilst Lucine's main focus was and still is science.

♡ Lucine has a 'Chem-bag' in which she invented/created herself! It works in a way of plastic balls being kept in a seperate bag she carries (the little one attached to her skirt, thats basically her storing place). The (empty) plastic balls are placed inside the bag. The interface contains buttons of elements from the periodic table. From there, she enters in a combination to create certain reactions to help her in battle. However, they are kept in the plastic ball, and the reactions occur once the ball is thrown. Some of the reactions include hardening foam, blinding lights, smoke, etc. (These may not physically make sense or anything but shh).

Here was the previous design!! (Im thinking of keeping the star interface instead of the heart to be honest XP just would be a nice reference to the fact that she idolises Starline so much)

♡ As mentioned, Lucine has been a Starline admirer/fan since she was a young adult. Lucine has always had an interest for science, but Starline gave her a goal; to meet him and use her science skills to assist him in his deeds. Starline gave her a goal in life. But eventually, she grew a tiny bit obsessed with the platypus. Posters, designs of gadgets inspired by him, you name it. She even attempted to create an antidote for the metal virus so that she'd be noticed (Still deciding on whether to make her canonically succeed or not X3)! Unfortunately however, she would not get the chance to work alongside her idol, as he died before she got a chance for him to acknowledge her existence. This left Lucine devastated, with a struggle to figure out what her purpose now was. She spent so long with the goal of meeting and impressing Starline, that she hardly focused on any other goal.

♡ Her catchphrase has always been "Presentation is key", which alludes to her always making sure something is presented in a certain way. Her outfits are stylish, and her lab is under her cottage she lives in - hidden out of plain sight. But this even nails down to how she acts. Her "cute" appearance as a deer (mobian) leads no one to suspect she could do harm, which she could use to her advantage in some cases to get what she wants if the person is naive enough. So, the presentation goes from the way things look down to the way she acts.

♡ This helps her manipulate some mobians easy enough. She acts innocent, and it seems like she has no ill intentions towards you - even going as far as making it seems like she's trying to help you - but she does this to get exactly what she wants in a way that isnt obvious.

(Dont mind this old sketch, this is from a RP I did with this character ages ago u-u ... I used to RP lots, believe it or not. But anyways.)

This is Carrie (C.A.D officially)! Lucine's most prized creation! She called the 'Caretaker Assistance Device', in which she uses to assist her in whatever Lucine needs! Sometimes its organizing the lab, sometimes its helping with experiments, or sometimes its planning. Things like that! Carrie however, cannot fight. Lucine had programmed her to help, not battle. Despite this, Carrie has her own sentience kind of. She can speak on her own willingly and do things to her own accord. She is programmed in a certain way to help Lucine, but other than that, she pretty much kind of has her own will.

Believe it or not, she used to have smaller ears! Until I realised she doesnt look like a deer all that much and changed them.

Another invention of hers is also backpack wings; mechanical wings attached to a backpack! They help her fly,,, somewhat?? Its moreso for gliding around.

Truth be told she is also 3'6. Short motherfu- /j

STH FanStory Recommendations:

As well as writing, I have found myself also reading an awful amount of Sonic-related fanfiction and comics recently… So, I thought I’d share a few of my favourites in case anyone else has found themselves hyper-fixating over this fandom like I have recently 🦔

Concord by EvieNyx (@evienyx) - [Complete] 💙🖤❤️ Focuses on Shadow after the third SCU movie. It’s really cute, and I feel like it accurately portrays movie-Shadow’s thoughts and memories, mixing together elements of the films with fan theories and other STH media canon.

Project Guardian by AealZX @aealzx - [Ongoing] Again, after the third SCU movie (there’s quite a few of them 😅) but Shadow is taken in as a fourth Wachowski sibling, who has to recover from severe injuries. Some art is included, and it’s just really sweet all-in-all.

Secrets In Our Quills by @nebrasska-alasska - [Ongoing] 💙🖤❤️ I’m sure many of you are already aware of their amazing stories, but this one is the longest so far, and also the closest to being completed. But if you like Sonadow slowburn and plenty of gay fluff, you should definitely read all of their incredible fanfics.

A Junk Yard Of Possibilities by CrazyForClones (@crazyforclones) - [Complete] This story looks at what happened to Agent Stone after Dr Robotnik’s death and focuses on the potentially adorable friendship that could blossom between him and Tails.

Family Loading… Please Wait by Humanities_Handbag ( @humanityinahandbag) & Invader_Sam (@smerfols) - [Ongoing] This quickly became a favourite, as it did with many others. 💕 It starts all the way back with the Wachowski’s adopting Sonic and then Tails and Knuckles and eventually Stone and Shadow, and it’s just the biggest, cutest family dynamic.

What Makes Us Who We Are by EmmaSmoke ( @emmasmoke8) - This is about the Mobians doing certain things their Earth animal counterparts would naturally do. My favourite parts are definitely Tails doing adorable fox things and Tom and Maddie trying to figure out what the heck all their anthropomorphic alien children are doing. 😅

Suspended by CheetahBoy (@90sfr3sh) - This looks at what could have happened if Sonic and Tails didn't get rescued by Maddie and Rachel during the second film. It's such a cool concept, I'm very excited to see what happens next! 😁

General / Alternate Universes:

Sonic Wave by Sharp_Silver (@sharp-silver-fanfic) - [Ongoing] I really love this story! 💕 It’s basically a full retelling of the STH universe lore, taking elements from all different bits of media. It’s been crazy good so far, so please give them your support!

Weird Science by satan_official - [Ongoing] 💙🖤❤️ This one is really interesting and it sort of makes me think of Equestria Girls (for any MLP fans out there!) but instead it’s Sonic and Shadow who are stuck in human bodies on the human world. It’s a bit different but really great so far 😁

Boom To Another Dimension by Gamerblade - [Ongoing] Explores what could happen if the SCU Live Action film characters were sent to the Sonic Boom universe, with pretty regular updates being uploaded so far. 😊

Into The Tailsverse by TheCatCacoon - [Ongoing] This one has a bunch of my favourite little two-tailed foxes, and, as someone who is also exploring bringing different Miles Prowers together, it’s intriguing to see how someone else writes these characters 🦊

Culture Shock by foggystarrs (@foggystarrs) - [Ongoing] 💙🖤❤️ Purely a Sonadow fanfiction, but it looks at hedgehog / Mobian courting behaviour and is just really cute 🥰 If you are a fan of oblivious gay and alien hedgehogs, you’ll probably love this one.

Heart Of A Monster by SuperEmeralds (@the-heart-of-a-monster by @superemerarts) - [Ongoing] Another insanely detailed comic, which is a retelling of Sonic Unleashed. Its so well done, plus there's a gentle sprinkling of platonic Sonadow.

Team Dark Supernova Odyssey by @sharpedgedfool (@teamdarksupernovaodyssey) - [Ongoing] This is a space opera comic revolving around found family and adventure themes, set as a hypothetical spin-off to the Shadow the Hedgehog video game.

Sonic Boom Revisited by @multiisketch , @mama-qwerty. & @star-stages (@sonicboomrevisited) - [Ongoing] This comic is amazing. A bit darker than the original series, but has just been so gripping so far. Regular updates too! Definitely recommended! 👍

Second Chance by @sumju - 💙🖤❤️ - Who doesn’t love a Sonadow comic?? Plus Tails is adorable as usual (and reminding Shadow of Maria 😭) so that’s an added bonus 🧡

Eggsperiments by @prince-less - This is a new concept so there's not much content about it yet, but I really hope it becomes either a proper comic or fanfic or something similar, because I'm such a sucker for alternate stories of Sonic and Tails being the best brothers, and this a really cool idea 🥺

Sonadow Future by @torusonicpilled 💙🖤❤️- [Ongoing] Another newer one, with a few fanfic chapters and a few comic pages, but they've already got me interested from the idea that Tails can be resurrected, so I'm excited to see where it goes next ☺️

Sonic & The Olympus Heroes by @miitarion - Not sure if this will be continued as it was only shared quite recently, so might just be a one-off, but the art is incredible; Definitely worth a read! ✨

Not that he was going to complain about it, far from it! In fact deep down he was far too happy to receive such a warm and fluffy embrace. Just the gesture of it itself had taken him by surprise, bringing that familiar red tint to his cheeks.

Ways the Sonic Franchise can bring Maria Robotnik back and make it kinda fun

-Hedgehog Clone with her memories: Kinda bonkers premise here. Maria gets cloned and her memories copied into a Mobian body that isn't dying of plot disease or bullets. Gives her superpowers and opens her up to being playable in game and SO MUCH FUN with the identity angst ("Am I the real Maria? Am I a copy? Are these feelings mine or just memories of a ghost? Am I my own person or a facsimile of what has come before?!") Can have fun with her design, whether it's just palatte swap Amy or you want to get more spicy with it.

-Maria Ghost in the Shell: Gerald backed up Maria's memories into a computer with science magic and this gains sentience somehow and can now pilot robots around, hopping from shell to shell like a digital ghost. More identity angst with this one and separation from humanity, needing Shadow and friends to bring her back to her humanity and stop her from going full Skynet.

-Multiverse shenanigans: Maria from an alternate universe shows up where Shadow died on the ARK to save her, turning her into the main series villain instead of Eggman and Amy as her nemesis instead of Sonic. Leans into the Robotnik madness, has built a mecha-Shadow trying to replace her lost family, and is a blonde Dok Ock from Spiderverse. Cries when she meets main-timeline Shadow and they mourn that there's no timeline where they both get to live.

-Lilo and Stitch reboot: Reboot of Shadow's story where Maria finds Shadow after crash landing from space-shenanigans (getting away from the Black Aliens) and the plot of Lilo and Stitch/E.T. takes place but with autistic girl genius and her weird cat thing that can and will kill God on a Tuesday night in a Denny's Parking Lot.

All the time, actually. I’m guessing Gerald specifically chose Mobians because of their affinity with chaos energy, and he chose a hedgehog because of the mural of a golden hedgehog fighting Chaos (because that’s a whole other can of worms unless hedgehogs are just way more connected to chaos energy than even regular Mobians are. That could be another reason)

But all of that thinking just loops back around to: where did he get? Does this technically mean that Shadow has another parent out there, or did Gerald build that DNA, amino acid by amino acid, himself? Even then, tho, he would have had to base it off of at least one, if not multiple, Mobians genomes to make sure he got it right, so where would he have gotten those from?

does anyone else wonder where Shadows mobian DNA came from?? cuz we know where his black arms DNA came from but there definitely had to be mobian DNA coming from SOMEWHERE

Eggman never quite realized just how small the hoglet was.

Sonic had been living with the scientist for months, having desperately sought shelter during one particularly bad blizzard. The boy had slammed his fists against his door as though to knock the damn thing down, clutching his little brother to him as he shook.

When the doctor had opened the door, Sonic looked up at him, and something struck his chest. A feeling Eggman didn’t recognize burned in his chest. The boy had begged for help, not for him, but for his brother, who’d gotten sick due to the swaths of white coating the ground.

Originally, the doctor only helped to gain an advantage. A way to get this roadblock out of the way to further his goals.

In the end, though, he’d grown attached. These little mobians grew on him like a fungus, and now, months later, he pondered this as they slept comfortably against his chest.

The two purred heavily, contentedly swaddled in his coat as dreams swirled through their heads. They both fit atop him easily, curled up like cats as they rested. It took Eggman a while to realize it, but they really were just kids, and they were so very small.

He couldn’t wrap his head around it. Little hands about half the size of his own, if not smaller, I needed gently at his shirt, and it warmed his heart. Tiny tails, little baby shoes, big eyes that begged him for extra sweets after supper. It made his chest ache, like he’d coughed a bit to hard.

Subconsciously, he wondered. How could he have ever hurt them? They were kids, his kids, and at he’d grown unfathomably fond of him. Eggman would rather give up science forever than allow these boys to be hurt again.

He refused to acknowledge these feelings, though, repressing them deep down. Perhaps he was just sick, he thought, the ache in his chest more due to growing congestion than the budding growth of familial affection. Eggman would have to see a medical professional later, figure out a way to fix all this feeling.

For now, though, he’d nap with his kids. Rest would best help heal the body, after all. It definitely wasn’t a way to relax with his boys, not at all.

Not that he’d ever admit.
